ITT: films you've watched recently
please keep shitposting to a minimum, thank you!
>>89183i watched isle of dogs not too long ago, it's not perfect but it has a heck of a lot of charm and doesn't waste a second
>>89183I just watched this, and I couldn't help but see Markiplier throughout the entire film.
>>89294Why have you cursed me like this?
>>89183Barry Lyndon. Just saw it with a mate.
Watched this three times while vacationing in Japan.
>>89183God tier film
>>89685One of my favorite films
>>89722Nice! I've been watching some more Kubrick in the meantime.
>>89819
Hmm
>>89819I love Kubrick's movies.Clockwork Orange is my favorite watch it if you haven't already.
>taxi driver (1976)i had never seen this till today but i'd give it a pretty strong recommendation plus it has a really good atmosphere
>>91176Taxi Driver is unironically redpilled
Just watched the Wall despite being a Pink Floyd fan since I was 7 I'd never seen it. My family are all big fans, and we owned it, but Dad said I couldn't watch it even though he usually let me watch whatever R-rated movies I wanted to. I kinda forgot about it until recently, it's decent and the later half is especially great, but I don't care for a lot of the war imagery early on (Goodbye Blue Sky is great though) and the Final Cut stuff isn't welcome. I'll probably pick it up for cheap though to add to my Floyd collection.
I have watched Alita Battle Angel about 25 times in the last couple of months.I went to the theater to see Hellboy 3 (It wasn't as good without Ron Perlman).I then sneaked into a showing of Captain Marvel, so I could see what all the fuss was about, without handing Disney a bunch of cash. The movie I am going to watch (again) today is Siren (2016). She is quite naked throughout the movie. Don't click these links if you are at work. >>>/gif/14831049>>>/gif/14831059

watched this the other day. bland and dull. would not recommend.
I haven't watched a single Avengers movie and all the recent memes involving Thanos and Endgame are completely foreign to me. Am I missing anything?
Re-watched this. It still holds up and is one of the best comedies I've ever seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KezvwARhBIc>>91317Nope, Marvel cinematic universe isn't worth watching past the original Avengers. Save yourself a lot of time and watch something good instead.
Here's the other film I watched. Definitely one of Jack Nicholson's best performances plus it's just an all around fantastic film.>>91320I'm gonna have to check it out for that clip alone. Thanks for sharing!
It was a pretty funny parody of Fantasia. Not as well animated, but considerably more experimental. Also the live action segments contribute to an overall narrative which Fantasia doesn't have.
I really liked it.
Watching this now.
God this was so good! Definitely the best Tarkovsky film I've watched.
The Return of Godzilla (1984)I also watched 2 episodes of Zone Fighter
Watched the new Men in Black. Wasn't funny, but still an OK film. Keep saying this but if they got rid of the mandatory sidekick who spewed one-liners and was useful only once at the end of the movie, it might've been better.Only memorable moment is when Chris Hemsworth's character fucked that ayylmao babe.
I just want you all to know about Memories of Murder. It is extremely kino. Unrelentingly kino, even.
>>91969>the madman isn't meldropped
>>92109>Only memorable moment is when Chris Hemsworth's character fucked that ayylmao babeAn Asian?
I would recommend Das Boot to any man who wishes to understand the conflict between duty, people, and unit. The character-play between these elements, and the stressors they undergo in their journey should touch you if you have a soul.
>>89477I hardly watch movies anymore, can't even remember the last time I went to the cinema, and if I do have a rare 2-3 hours to spare, I mostly re-watch older stuff.Last night I picked Robot Carnival at random from amazonprime. Before that I think I watched pic related last year.>>89477that's a stupendous film, didn't like it at first but ended up watching it about 30 times back in the day. Maybe I'll put on eyes wide shut tonight.
Watched Felidae. Pretty good and I'd recommend it, though the mystery is pretty weak and you know who the murderer is the second they first show up.
It was fun.
>>91190I watched this movie prolly a hundred times fucking love it!
This thread almost lasted 176 days without any namefagging. Nice.
>>92788
It was ok. Bought the ultimate cut recently and had never watched it when it came out, and all my friends who read the comic as well at the time said it wasn't worth watching. As a whole this film didn't offend me, and I think for the most part it was decently faithful, besides the ending. However as a whole the movie lacked a lot of the subtlety of the original story and failed to accurately match the tone of the comic. A lot of the scenes were changed to add more violence or action, such as the Roche case, initial survey of the Comedians apartment, or the Vietnam part. These really didn't add to the story and just made it seem like Snyder didn't have faith that a film with more dialogue and less action would hold my American intention.Other than that it did the best it could to adapt the comic, but honestly no matter how good it really never stood a chance of matching it. 7/10
>>92788an achievement if i ever saw one
>>89183I just rewatched all 3 a week ago, I don't know why I bothered with the third.
Ultrakino.https://youtu.be/AdE7yos6COw
Loved this film. Looks beautiful and the comedy of the innocent townsfolk is perfect. Tarantino BTFO.
>>89721IMAX? they showed it again at my theater, a fucking shame it wasn't in the Dolby Atmos room
If you want a kino film that'll make you hate Australians, look no further.
>>93917But I already hate them...
It's shit. Good soundtrack though.
Recently watched this.
Holy shit, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is fantastic.
>>94472Klaus was very kino. A hidden gem perhaps.
Uncut Gems. It was very Jewish.
Entertainment (2015) It was a pretty big downer. The depressing mood was good and the movie was well made but I can't see myself watching it again.
>>92304>it's been seven months since i've posted this>even started dating a coworker since thenlatest movie I saw was Bad Boys 4, we didn't fucking need it edition. Why is it that when an action movie/game is pressed for sequels that they end up using the cartel as a source for the main antagonist instead of I dunno, some shadowy mega corpi.e. Army of Two, latest Rambo
what did i just watch?
>>91190Seeing Roger Waters the Wall concert was one of the best moments of my life
>>96847kino
>>91291fuck you
>>96939you liked it?
>>96944chinatown is in my top 5
Seven SamuraiThe overacting got annoying at some points but I enjoyed it. Despite the runtime it never felt like a drag
>>96847Is this pretty good? It sounded pretty weird but interesting when I heard about it.
>>97006It's the sorta thing that's worth watching even if you don't end up liking it that much.
How the FUCK is this movie not more popular? It's screaming for a Rocky Horror like cult following. I'd highly recommend watching it in it's original black and white format. It's just like watching a perverted rubberhose cartoon in live-action.
Thunderbirds are GO.Didn't realize it was based on an old TV show, when I watched it, but I wasn't too lost. It's kinda slow, but the puppetry was neat albeit uncanny at points.
Okay so I finally watched Her. Why did no one tell me it was such trash?
>>99368Oh is it? I have that on my to-watch list what makes it bad without giving any spoilers? I find the technology premise interesting and was hoping it was like Lars and the Real Girl.
Bump.
Better than II not as good as the original.
Dead Man's Letters, captionshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HEZaUT2bu8
The Evil Dead trilogyman that was fun
>>100593Which was your favorite? I've always loved Army of Darkness.
>>100595Also AoD, but they're all very good
Feels a lot like an anti-animal abuse documentary. Pretty cool special effects for the human deaths.
Meh, well shot, but not for me.
I only watch high-quality cinema.
Gets way better once they drop most of the plot and it becomes a series of dance numbers strung together. Not as good as when I was a kid.
>>101274very patrician
>>96136It's been 9 months since we last spoke, fren. How is it now?
Still very watchable 75+ years later.Even more incredible he was 25 when he made it
>>100385You gonna watch the re-edit when it comes out?
I saw Con Air it was a great action flick
