>>389135285It's bad for several reasons. The kind of freebie leechers who would never be converted into paying customers are a bad crowd to encourage. It increases strain on resources for those who are paying. It also gives a bad impression to offer such a weak model as your publicly facing first impression. Even if they kept the 13B trial in place as now, plus that free tier, it would feel terrible to go from Euterpe to Sigurd and those fags would spread a bad word about that experience

>>389139281https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L75iBgLWmvo
>>389138404You don't need the ngram stuff to use the base tool, but assuming you want the added features, the following command should work when executed from the proper directory:java -cp languagetool-server.jar org.languagetool.server.HTTPServer --port 8081 --languageModel 'C:\LanguageTool_ngram_data' --allow-origin Note the capital M in --languageModel and also substitute your own path in. The folder name doesn't matter, just make sure it's the parent directory of the "en" folder that holds the different ngram data. >>389139281I too do this, usually without duplicating

>>389140756https://vocaroo.com/1luWRstczAEAvoice could use a bit of tweaking maybe
How well does Krake know Harry potter lore (on its own, no lorebooks etc)? I won't test it myself because I never read/watched it so I wouldn't know what's right or wrong, I'm asking about it because it's a fuckhuge franchise with relatively uncomplicated lore (compared to for example star wars, which does have a lot of books and fanfics but they are scattered between hundreds of characters and multiple different eras), so it would be the perfect test for the model's capability for learning more complex relations.

The damage was done when OAI demonstrated that the tech was possible, now gatekeeping it with beta access and ToSs is pointless because anyone who can actually do serious damage with the tech can also go and make their own. Only hope to fight against it is to have every researcher with an interest in it getting open access to the tech to figure out countermeasures.
>>389147948Interesting. So it's the AI equivalent of nuclear deterrence?"Don't cripple our country by sending us AI smut, or we will retaliate using AI smut"
>>389148151No, rather it's like every other domain of cybersecuritySide A is figuring out exploits, while side B is figuring out how to detect and nullify those exploits. If you want to know how to detect bots you first need to know how those bots work.AI image recognition is already capable of beating those captcha puzzles you have to solve on websites, which means we need new ones, and those will need to be designed by people who research the tech.

>>389146749With high effort comes high expectations. If you put hours into perfecting your prompt, you start hoping for really good outputs to justify that effort. But if you just type some dumb shit and get a half-decent response, there's a simple satisfaction in that.Just remember that, like with many things in life, cheap fun is fleeting, while putting in effort is often more rewarding in the long term.

Little finding related to writing fanfics for books: namedropping characters is not enough, you also should write in similar style as the book. For example if you have a captain, who in narration is only called by his last name but in your story in narration you call him "Captain McAnons", the AI might not understand what are you talking about without additional hammering. It may seem to you like it's less context because you didn't specify the rank and AI might think you are talking about any other McAnons, but AI is not logical like that, it only follows patterns, and it has never seen a story in which "Captain McAnons said", but plenty in which "McAnons said".
>>389148489reCaptcha already does this with the "I'm not a robot" checkbox. Turns out there's a lot of subtleties in the simplest of human behavior that's difficult for a bot to imitate convincingly.

>>389149061What's the biggest model you can currently run in Kobold on colab with a P100?
>>3891515146B so that is not the recommended route, the TPU can run up to 20B although 20B you may have to slightly tone down the max context and you need to be careful switching between the backends since it overloads 20B if you do (So either always have Dynamic WI info on, or have No Gen Mod on but don't switch between them during a session). So 20B is really stretching it but possible, 13B is solid on a TPU.
>>389151758In other words, paying for Pro is useless. If you wish to pay rent a better GPU on runpod instead. For 44 cents per hour you can run 13B, for 88 cents per hour you can run 30B. And for $6 per hour i could run 176B (but in that case with a few minutes between responses).

>>389223173AI winter 3.0 will come when they start running into walls, not when someone uses a story generation model to say something offensive. The alignment stuff they complain about matters in a lot of real world applications like customers service chatbots or medical screening or whatever, but just vaguely pointing at 'harms' if the model went public is unironically a bit 1984?
>>389224210Also the thing they're doing (that you seem to be doing in this post too) where they pretend that stopping the AI from saying N word is "alignment" is extremely worryingMaking sure the AI has progressive politics has nothing to do with alignment, it's both 1000 times easier than alignment and 1000 times less importantThe attempt to redefine alignment as "upholds correct social justice values" is going to get us all paperclipped

We might think we can align it but end up fucking it up anyway. The best case scenario is that all this talk of AGI is just self-important god-complex circlejerking by AI researchers who think that their work on transformer models and GANs qualifies them to talk about "alignment" and larp as heroes that will mankind from rogue AGI, and not something that will ever actually come to pass

Has anyone had any luck with the bidirectional inline? Feels like it's basically worthless at transitioning between one point in the text to another. More often than not, it just copies the text that comes later. Should I just be using a bias if I want the output to bring something up in its own words?
