How do I get good at Risk of Rain 2?I just got SotV after having not played the game for like a full year and wow, it feels a good ten times harder than it used to be. Sky Meadow and especially Commencement feel like such a massive jump in difficulty over stage 4. Especially Commencement. It's like they swap out my weapons with nerf guns when loading into Commencement. I've only gotten to Mithrix one time out of probably 30 runs getting to that stage since buying the expansion and he fucked me up the ass with his massive hammer.

I can see the psyker being the actual melee class. He's the one with force weapons after all, which is going to be one step above the zealot's hammer, so it just makes sense. The hammer is also the slow melee archetype and more specialized to single targets, which isn't a problem for bladed force weapons.

Unconventional, but just ran a solo volcanic force BW with flamestorm staff and it was pretty fun. A fully charged flame stream can even stagger all and kill most of a SV patrol. Though I agree hordeclear should be done by melee for THP gain, swiftbows and drakefire guns are the worst thing to happen to this game. That's why I did it solo. Honestly, the more I hear about darktide the more my excitement dies for it. The dedicated servers mainly is what kills me, I could understand it being just a dedicated server for the main social hub but I feel like that's gonna backfire on them. Push attacks is your damage, it is your speed and it is your stagger. Do it like your life depend on it because it does. You can sacrifice a little DPS by adding BCR to dual axes and neck but don't touch anything else or the stamina.Then comes a big lump of iron and you're like "4 stamina push-attacks wont end this grinning shithead why did I listen to you anon?". This where you push Q, charge ~50% then leap and end his fucking life in 2 seconds flat with Dawi Drop.So what do we got here? High mobility, high speed, decent all around damage with dual axes and a big "fuck you any Elite, give me 30% of my health back in THP using boon when cracking the biggest Nurgle tin-can open" with Warpick. People will suspect you of being a zaki at first without the big hammers and axes but you'll show them, you'll show them all!
