Enhanced Vanilla combat to the point that it's not fucking stupid
Mortar shells and autocanons/slug turrets are useless against power armor, need to tweak them
Suggesting lowering defense increase as well, it's way too high.
Good compatability overall, i have a bug where some project itzal weapons are fucking small, but others said that it works on thier machines, so might be my mod load order
The yayo modlist in OP is a good alternative to CE overall if you don't want to use CE

Creating systems to butcher and process the Moyos into drugs is kinda fun, but everything else is pretty meh. The weapons are mostly just pulse rifle reskins except for the cryocannon and a lot of the top tier weapons are locked behind a speicial Moyo multiprocessor (which also grants its own bonus to research speed so its not totally useless).

My main complaint is how different they look to pawns from literally every other non-chink race mod. I wish they were just blue-tinted humans instead of bottom-heavy waifu-bait.

Get Fertile Fields and terraform it to normal soil so you canj put normal floor over it.

The downside of it being on a bridge is that you won't be able to put floors on it, so you won't be able to make nice floors visually, or specific floors that have to count as floors (such as for a throne room for example).

Like enemies attacking you because it is randomly generated event and not because there are actual armies moving through the lands? Something is causing significant slowdowns when I select more than one pawn, I'm guessing it's the entry on top in this performance analyzer screenshot. TPS just drops to like 1/20 of what it normally is whenever I select a group, it already happens when I select one pawn, but with a group it just goes to below 10TPS.

What's up with that and how do I fix it (apart from uninstalling Genetic Rim)?

I just did, made it similar in cost to DE Surgeries (which require 3 medicine + 80 plasteel, so I guess it simulates a prosthesis that acts like a natural body part). It's still kind of OP to have the option either way I think.

Let's take bad back for example - I can cure it via Cyber Fauna (for practically nothing but I edited it), DE Surgeries (for 3 medicine + 80 plasteel), through installing a prosthetic spine, or through EPOE (which requires 1 medicine + 1 neuromuscular framework). And that's just the stuff I have researched now, there's probably a billion more options later on.

I think that the options that actually require something (prosthetic spine, neuromuscular framework) are fine, but this generic medicine+mat thing is BS.

Update: I uninstalled, and yeah, that was definitely the thing that made my game lag. From what I understand, GeneticRim_Pawn_GetGizmos_Patch is the part of the code in the DLL that presents the abilities as icons in the ability bar, right?

I suspect that similarly to that one bed-related issue from a while ago, it just spams itself a billion times per second. Could someone with the ability to decompile this check if I'm right please? >>325336012

Yeah I removed What the Hack, and now it's Giddy-up Ride & Roll.

So I'm 99% sure it's just literally whatever mod draws gizmos down on the shortcut bar, which is probably a few more.

The thing is, I've started a new map with the same mod list, and it's playable, so apparently there's a lot of stuff that increases lag exponentially after you play for a while, I didn't really expect it to get this bad.

Don't think there are any new custom body parts in CE. There are changes to body part coverages but that cannot cause any incompatibilities. It's just a tweak to how likely each body part is to be hit.
The race incompatibility is because those race mods use the vanilla armor stats (x% sharp, x% blunt) whereas CE uses it's own custom stats (x mm RHA, x MPa). That said CE has inbuilt compatibility patches for just about every race mod out there, and if you manage to find one that doesn't it takes literally a few minutes to make one.

Mech clusters are by far the best part because they're a very dynamic threat that the player can tackle in a variety of different ways. In my opinion they're one of the best features in vanilla because they're a threat that can't be beat via turret kill box, similar to infestations.

However allying with the Empire and having Royal characters is a very restrictive way to play which leads to subsequent colonies feeling very samey and imo goes against what makes Rimworld fun.

Psychic powers are ok but extremely underwhelming. Not a ton of fun stuff to play with. Just install a magic mod if you want fun/op powers.

I'm currently testing out Merchadroids, and it's better in the regard that it doesn't bring a lot of bloat shit (like the server shit and all that), which likely makes it more stable and compatible in the long wrong.

Also, i spawed in ravagers which in "vanilla" have 40% protection to blunt and sharp damage, but with CE it's 2 mm RHA and 4 MPA (Huge fucking nerf) while Megaspiders have 4 mm RHA and 12 MPA
Even worse, i set up a fight between Ravager and Spelopede, which has 0.12 mm RHA and 0.92 MPA melee armor penetration, but spelopede cut right through his shell, dealing clean 15 damage and then later somehow cutting off his leg, which again, is 62hp

and again, Ravager has 20 mm RHA and 12.5 MPA melee armor pen and 10 dps, while Megaspider has 22.05 mm RHA and 12.61 MPA melee armor pen. Ravagers are supposted to be superior in every way to normal hive, yet they get cut down by literally anything

Thanks, thats the one I've been using and was curious if there was any others worth looking at.

Everytime i start the game it crashes to desktop. Gotta be something with my mods. Probably a good opportunity to finally do some spring cleaning and get rid of bad/redundant mods

Sound like Vanillia isn't worth it (maybe some but not the whole bundle)?
