Basically while I feel it's super obvious that Kris is his own character I find that dynamic to be very interesting so far only 2 chapters in a seemingly 7 chapter game (possibly more) and the fact it's in your face like with him taking the soul out when he wants or anything with Spamton comparing himself with Kris as a puppet makes me think Toby has more plans for it since it seems like when he knows when to make things more subtle, so the fact this isn't as subtle as it could be implies a lot to me for the future of this game. Of course we'll find out in later chapters but I'm very compelled and while I doubt the hype and wait for the upcoming chapters will pay out since it's being overhyped a lot now I still am excited to play it. I will note though I do feel some things are weaker, chapter 1 overall is very limiting, sort of just being a diet Undertale without the metatextual stuff at all outside of possibly Gaster saying peculiar wording on the file select screen before the normal file select menu appears and the very very opening of the game with the vessel. Chapter 2 harped a little too hard on common romantic tropes for me to fully enjoy it but it was a way step-up from Chapter 1 for me and that Weird Route/Snowgrave Route is what really pumped me for this game. Overall I feel like this game has started off mostly strong, it has hooked me more than Undertale since chapter 2 alongside it's future potential.

The way you'd end the fight is getting Suzy to hold the wolf away from the shadow crystal whilst you pick it up.This would cause the wolf to slowly die, being separated from its source of power / and grieving (this would be a hint at darkners being rather similar to monsters).It would also be a callback to the annoying dog absorbing the mysterious artifact, having a new enemy showing determination to the gang in a similar way to undyne, and repeatedly punch kris in the gut due to him knowing what will happen / the similarity of the situation. It's a creature that refuses to become free because of something that it wants to protect out of loyalty and selfishness, that doesn't even really mean anything in the end.
