I never played Splatoon so I don't really have any sort of game bias here, I just think the aesthetic is bad. Like Bratz meets Splatoon or something, or one of those western How to Draw Anime looks. The color palette is better than something like Lawbreakers, but that's not really a high bar to meet.

It's not hard to outdo Nintendo. Even things like Smash Ultimate you now have fans in their free time creating characters. But on FG in general, Tekken/SF/KOF etc they all have more frequent season passes, as in more content, than Nintendo. Nintendo always gets away with the bare minimum. Compare Splatoon 2 to Tf2 and you know what I mean. I don't think the two are at all comparable though. It only looked like one character could somewhat surf the foam. I see it as inferior to Splatoon still.
