Where all the dinosaur games at?
>>
People realized that they aren't cool. Personally there are few things I find as uninteresting as dinosaurs. They are the real world equivalent of dragons, which is to say, incredibly boring and standard creatures. I've never met someone who became a fan of dinosaur fiction later in life, so I chock interest of it up to pure nostalgia.
>>
Kinda tough to know what people want from dinos. You want a survival horror/adventure game where you're constantly running from raptors and t-rexes? A fighting game where a stegosaurus spikes a Ankylosaurus?
>>
People grew up. You just got left behind
>>
>>574457370
I want an Immersive Sim where I can get all that.
>>
>>574457127
There aren’t much modern games of a lot of things really.

This is honestly the best route, honestly if they have Dino Crisis the RE2 and 3 remake treatment then I think it could work great.
I’d also be down for an FPS like Trespasser.

There's a sequel to the park-builder-sim Jurassic World Evolution coming out in under a month (Jurassic World Evolution 2)
It appears to fix 99% of the problems/complaints with the first one with the exception of map sizes, which, despite the devs saying they were massively increasing map sizes in the sequel, don't appear to be any larger than the mid-sized maps in the first game, at best. But we've only seen 3 maps so who knows, it's just that I'm hugely unimpressed by the map sizes which were the most important thing to me in the first game. Everything else looks great.
>>
>>574457370
Obviously an action adventure game with limited customization/evolution focused around you becoming a more deadly and bigger dinosaur as you kill enemies. Optimally with fantastic physics/animation/gore making it a fun sandbox to play around in.

Also it had the largest proportional olfactory gland (apart from the turkey buzzard) Which led people to believe it was a scavenger, but there's also the fun theory that it would just follow prey. Not ambush or chase, but just track prey for days without sleeping or eating (which fits larger carnivore behavior since they tend to binge and then go days without food) And just catch up with prey (since they wont lose their scent) once they drop bed down or drop from exhaustion.

The whole point of science is that it proves itself wrong you dipshit. That's the scientific method, observation leading to hypothesis, leading to finding arguments that either prove or disprove the hypothesis, which them led to more observations. It's an endless cycle of trying to figure shit out about the universe you sodomite.

Yeah, I guess we never did prove wrong that all of humanity came from 2 people that were tricked into eating a magical apple by a talking snake. Well I mean high powered hunting rifles people use on elephants or larger. Perhaps even stronger if you know it's an island full of big ass dinos. It's also just to give you a chance really. Though I get the feeling a 45 mag AK47 or some equivalent mag dumping in the front or broadside of a T-rex would definitively stop it within minutes if you hit various vital organs. Which might not save you exactly.

>creativity and art stagnates
Art always has something to say about the human condition or experience, and even if there’s absolutely nothing about a piece of art that depicts or is about a human, it typically will resonate in some way if it taps into something relatable to humanity or the time and place it was made. Stuff like dragons were used in mythological stories as a symbolic antagonist for the hero to conqueror and serve has a metaphor in a story which imparts some morale to the audience. Jurassic Park, which entirely influenced how most people conceptualise dinosaurs and how popular they are today, only had something like 15 minutes of screen time dedicated to actually showing the dinosaurs themselves and used them as a symbolic metaphor to tell a story where the subtext was about creation, the responsibility of parenthood and humanity’s inability to control nature. You seem to have very simple and child-like sensibilities in regards to art and entertainment.

Considering even crocs posses the genes for proto-feathers, the timeline for when feathers first appeared goes back quite a bit.
Although most dinos, especially in the triassic-early jurassic, probably only had quills, if even that.

The difference being that a rainstorm is spread out over a very wide area, whereas the vomit would be ejected from a single point. I guess it may be less of a single solid chunk, and more like a firehose.

You have no romance.
>>
>>574459346
You're the only thing that's retarded.
The joy of hunting isn't the possibility of death, it's the climax of your planning, preparation, and patience paying off. A dinosaur hunting game would be great because it would introduce new challenges and new ways to deal with them.
If I was a developer reading this thread I would unironically start making one right now, because it seems like untapped potential.

I need you to kill yourself and die. Monster Hunter is not a hunting game, it's an arcade game with the theme of hunting.

It's OK, it's not really meant for casuals such as yourself. Maybe a dinosaur-theme candy crunch is more for you?

Because is not a Dinosaur. The head had to be that big for weight counterbalance for its small body in flight.
While for birds, their weight is counter balanced at the back with their strong legs for its small head

it makes sense if you think about it.

dragons were real it’s just that christians across the world killed and erased all evidence of them because they thought they were literal demons.

that's a subset of meter tall biped raptors. It's like claiming the ostrich is a feathered dinosaur and not an avian. most of them cannot even be definitively proven as not actually birds.
>>
>>574512420
Sounds good on paper but believe me, nobody would actually want this.
>>
>>574511387
tried it. the map is amazing but the dumb skins are gay, and the entire playerbase is literally 10 year olds since it's crossplay with mobile. the gameplay is pretty decent, but it's still too barebones without the growth mechanic. at that point it's just a pvp sandbox, not a dino sim.
the isle on the other hand, at least when and where i played, had a surprisingly older playerbase.

I have played it, it's not a hunting game.
You've never been hunting, and that's not okay. You can't be a real man unless you've eaten something you've killed.

Can we just get a new, real Turok game? Who doesn't want to hunt dinosaurs with guns?

All they have to do is not repeat the generic gruff 2000's shooters that were stuck doing bald space marine bullshit of the era. Make a game with the levels and speed of 1 and the guns/gore of 2. That's all I ask.

Turok reboot would be based. Now seems to be the time for old franchises to shine like Wolfenstein and Doom so hopefully some CEO somewhere is taking notes
