Would it really hurt when classes that can heal like PAL, RDM or DNC would actually have heals that fucking matter? It pisses me off that they are so fucking stubborn with their DPS/Tank/Healer shit that under no circumstance they want to see any role being even a little bit competent at another role too. It would be pretty cool if you could be a good emergency healer as a RDM or, in unsynched runs, even a full healer and dps. Instead they got pseudo-heals that heal, like, 5% of the HP.

The main thing I wish XIV had is if jobs played differently from eachother. Like having different goals or entirely different styles of fighting. Like building and managing lots of small turret units to attack, controlling another thing to attack, or a ranged DPS that has distance sweetspots to do more damage.Even small things like a melee class with slower movement speed and unique movement abilities to work around it's speed, or a caster with 5 and 7.5 second cast times that hit really hard could feel fresh. Or some ways to interact with other players in fights besides a group damage buff.

I hate healers in this game so much. My static has been around for about a year and we've never had to kick someone out before we got this one awful SCH. All they fucking talked about was parsing, how they're a god for having oranges in Emerald Weapon and E9, etc. They barely ever heal and make their cohealer do everything. It was impossible to explain to them how meaningless their parses are considering how needlessly difficult they made the game for everyone with their shitty and inconsistent healing.Parses are a pretty great measure for DPS performance but it's pretty awful for healer performance. The orange numbers go to their heads I guess. FFlogs needs to change how it presents healer parses so they aren't encouraged to do nothing but Broil/Glare/Malefic. Maybe combine DPS and non-overheal healing into one performance measure and tuck away the pure DPS parses so they're still viewable but not the most obvious measure.
