How important is DPI for shooters?
>>540376880but that would mean all those $90 gaming mice were retarded
>>540376881it's just marketing. nobody plays at like 80000 DPI, most people stick with low DPI values for improved accuracy.
>>540376879it is very important: you need at least 1000 dpi, more than 2000 is irrelevant
>>540376882gaymers are so dumb that they don't realize that they can turn up dpi but turn down sensitivity at the same time to result in more accurate motion.take your retardation to >>>/v/
>>540376879It isnt. Like >>540376882 said lower is usually preferred. S1mple, who is considered to be one of the best CSGO players ever has his at 400.
>>540376881Kinda, most modern gaming mice from reputable brands have sensors that should be good enough for most people.
>>540376879You want low dpi.
>>540376879It isn't. Most pro's use 400 DPI. Sensor accuracy is more important.
>>540376885That is technically true. Right now you can halve your sens and double your DPI. It feels different though. Flicks are better but it's harder to be really precise which is why most people use 400-800 DPI.
not even trying to be rude but you need at least 30,000 dpi to be competitive in modern shooters like valorant
>>54037689230,000 DPI at 0.001 sens.Sounds great anon.
>>540376879I use Logitech G203 at 1600 dpiShooting doesn't feel any different from a Basic Microsoft Optical Mouse, other than I got two extra mouse buttons to use auto-clickers on semi-auto weapons.DPI doesn't matter, your play style does.
>>540376879You want to use whatever DPI is most comfortable to you. Most people I know who played CS used 400 DPI, including myself.
>>540376879It's important when your screen is 4k
>>540376882I play at 3200 DPI and like 0.8 -0.4 ingame sens depending on the game. I like having a fast mouse and cant stand 400-800 dpi speed mouse.
>>540376885We ARE in /v/ you dumb idiot
Anything above 800 is retarded. To get 10 inches for 360 degrees, I have to set some games to 1 or 2 sensitivity. Some even consider 10/360 fast, so a lot of people go even lower to 400.
DPI isn't important, but the quality of your sensor is.
