Saves the MCU.
Why did you choose an image with Crystal from the Inhumans?
>>168004212The Thing's the token.
>>168004212>spic Sue and Johnny >nig the Thing>chink ReedIt will save nothing.
>>168004212The best F4
>>168004212Surely they'll get it right the 4th time. They have to. >release date 2023They already fucked up.
>>168004693It doesn't have a release date, I think 2024 is more likely given they haven't announced a director and there are already 3 films set for 2023.
>>168004612They'll keep Reed white, they'll just have his sassy, mystery meat wife Sue constantly correct and outshine him. They'll probably keep Thing white or Jewish because they won't want such an ugly, bestial character to be played by a non-white for 'optics' reasons.Johnny is 100% gonna be black, though.
>>168004212Please never cast Rogen as The Thing.
>>168004925Torch was already black. Try Asian.
>>168004925No they won't, the casing call basically said "no whites"“Marvel wants most, if not all four members to be diverse, so they are looking to specifically cast people of color. They also want this new team to be younger, aged 20s-30s. They plan to keep Sue and Johnny as actual siblings this time in the same race, but they are open to mixing all races in casting this family. For example, Human Torch and Invisible Woman could be Latinos, allowing Mr. Fantastic to be Black or Asian. They are still very open.”https://fandomwire.com/fantastic-four-casting-update-revealed
>>168005122The entire cast should be pajeets. That would satisfy everyone.
>>168004212Derivative. Straight-up rip-off of The Incredibles.
>>168004212We already had the perfect cast for it.
>>168005122My guess is Sue and Johnny are some shade of black but Reed's kept white. It seems like every new Hollywood release is pushing WM/BF these days and negrofying the whole team would just look too obvious.Thing is explicitly Jewish so they won't have the balls to turn him brown, but they'll almost certainly get complaints if they don't cast a Jew for the role.
>>168005382She has a very unattractive neck and a weird shaped head.
>>168005382She's not a good choice for Sue, but if Marvel really is making them diverse then it's D.O.A.
>>168005122they didnt learn from the one where they made the torch black and everyone laughed at them, uh?
>>168005413Moon Knight's Jewish and they didn't cast a Jew for him
>>168004212>Saves the MCUThe Fantastic 4 isn't saving anything. It's never been done right on the big screen. They keep trying for some reason, but I'm not sure it's actually adaptable.
>>168006329The Incredibles proved the concept is doable.
>>168006329Marvel will probably fuck up the casting choices somehow. The Fantastic Four are called Marvel's first family for a reason. They are pretty much the soul of the Marvel universe.
>>168006401Did they do a live action Incredibles that I am not aware of?
>>168006411The should do a '50s version then get time-warped at the end.
>>168006833>'50sMore like early '60s, but yeah would be based. Incredibles even managed to get that feeling right giving Syndrome his own private villain island.
>>168006411>They are pretty much the soul of the Marvel universe.According to who? I've always thought they were a corny throwback. Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, and the X-men all have a better claim IMO.
>>168006978Lee and Kirby's FF run is one of the most iconic Marvel series ever created.
>>168006833Fabric instead of rubber.
>>168004614For me it's the circle of four
>>168007008Then why does every adaptation of the Fantastic 4 suck? The only decent one I've ever seen is when the Venture Brothers show did a parody of them.
>>168007130I could see this happening in phase 5.But then again, didn't the general Ross actor die? With Blade being introduced, they'll probably go for a Midnight Sons adaptaion at some point.
>>168006978>Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, and the X-men all have a better claim IMO.t. didn't read comics before the MCU existednot a criticism, just an observation
>>168007173The original movie made in the '90s only existed so Bernd Eichinger could keep the film rights and was never supposed to be released. The 2000s movies were fine. Not good, but alright. They existed at a time where superhero movies were at an uncertain point in public perception. They ended up making it into a generic summer blockbuster action movie because of it. The 2015 film was a disaster, just wrong from top to bottom. That pretty much sums it up so far.
>>168007184Nigga I don't read comic books now. I only give a shit about on screen adaptations. Those are the titles that had screen presence before the MCU made household names from obscure titles nobody cared about.
Make him evolve over time.
>>168004212>Saves the MCU.Not with the Victoria Alonso nonsense and Kevin Feige miscast
>>168007310Based, that's what I've always wanted tooI've always really loved how Kirby drew the Thing in those early issues. He looks properly monstrous and misshapen
>>168007426Kirby based the thing off of himself, which is pretty sad if you read the comics.
>>168007310He was undergoing a secondary "mutation" at some point which made him more rock-like.Pretty sure live action thing would appear more human though, judging by how they do the hulk.
>>168007485Yeah I know. If you read into it like that, you can kind of see Mr Fantastic as sort of like Stan Lee. The controlling, egotistical leader who's always putting Ben down, intentionally or otherwise, yet they still stick with each otherOf course I doubt Kirby fully intended it to be read like that, since Stan was still the writer/editor on the comic, but you can very clearly see his resentment for Stan in his later non-Marvel work
It blew my mind when I eventually realized the FF were just the four elements. And if you go with the Chinese system, Silver Surfer or Dr. Doom could be Metal.
>>168007485They should have the Yancy Street Gang pester Thing in the movie and never show them like in the comics.
>>168008412Thing - EarthJohnny - FireSue - AirReed - WaterSurfer/Doom - Metal
The only MCU film I will ever see
>>168004212Adam Hughes art is incredible, this is the only time I've thought it looked like shit.
>>168004532>LLAMAS A MÍ!
Why do they keep trying? No one fucking cares about the Fagtastic 4. Their powers are extremely lame and their name is cringe as hell
>>168008855it's all about familia
>>168008944based on-topic dubs
>>168008855They WILL keep trying till the MCU is in the same state as the comics. A gay waste of everyone's time
hell yeah brother. as long it's not iron boy and mark cuckalo hulk
>>168004212>Johnny and reed aren’t black >sue doesn’t have a black boyfriend DroppedROPPED
>>168004923KEKthank you for your service anon
>>168007725Was Stan Lee as big of an asshole as people say he was?
>>168012061Debatable, but the fact that he allowed his name to be solely attributed to creating most of the Marvel universe for so long made him very disingenuous at the very least. However, Jack Kirby was notoriously antisocial at times compared to Stan who really put himself out there as the front man at Marvel, both when writing the comics and creating a public image.
>>168012061Depends who you askPersonally, I don't think he was an outright asshole but he was certainly a showboating egotist. Some people like to say that he just completely stole the work of Kirby, Steve Ditko, et al and just wrote the captions and slapped his name on it, but that very much diminishes what Stan did in favour of a more simplistic underdog narrative. While Kirby and Ditko arguably had more of a hand in creating the characters and, after a certain point, doing the plots of issues almost entirely by themselves, Stan was still important. I think at one point at the top of Marvel's game in the 60s he was the writer/editor of almost every series they were putting out, and he was the one tying it all together into a single universe with a recognisable tone and voice. Plus there was his role in communicating to fans through the letter pages and such. Whereas Kirby and co had artistic talent, Stan had business talent. Think of him as the ringleader and primary face in a circus; you're there for the talent, not him, but if it wasn't for the ringleader you wouldn't be there at all. Though it's definitely true and fair to say that Stan claimed WAY more credit than he actually deserved. There's no real records, which means no one can ever be sure who came up with what aside from what Stan said or Jack said. Stan also had a famously shitty memory though and especially once he was older, so I don't think every bit was intentional on his part. His role in the movies as "le wacky old man cameo" also doesn't help here, because it cemented him in the general public's mind as the main guy behind Marvel. Had Kirby lived longer or if Ditko hadn't been such a recluse, they might've gotten screen time too. Also, just an aside, but Kirby and Ditko quit more so because of Marvel's increasing corporatisation from the mid 60s onwards rather than because of Stan personally. They were both already working out of the office for a good while before either decided to leave.
>>168007332>I've just seen an evil powerful witch tear through dozens of Ultron guards. I know our world's version of the witch is very powerful. The evil witch could end up dooming several universes. She has also just killed my team mate. I am a member of the world's most powerful team, with unlimited resources, weapons and gadgets available to me.>I know! I'll stretch my arm and punch her! That's a good trick!
>>168008268Ultimate FF was based for making that association. That was before Marvel ruined it with making Reed evil for no reason at all.
>>168004532Adam Hughes can only draw beautiful women, he tries a man and behold, a chicken.>>168004923kek
>>168013520I only like his selina
>>168013337>making Reed evil for no reason at all.>no reason at all
>>168013780what the fuck is this trash holy shit, americans are ill
>>168013780>you're not nearly shallow and superficial enough for me right nowIs this the most realistic depiction of women ever made?
>>168014052It's from Ultimate Fantastic FourBack at the start of the millennium, Marvel wasn't doing good and they decided to do a whole big new line called the Ultimate universe which would be a modern reboot of their characters separate from their mainline stuffSince it was the 00s, modernising them actually meant turning almost every character into a cunt, edgy, or an edgy cunt
>>168014766honestly looking back now it's an extremely realistic characterization
>>168009316>sue doesn’t have a black boyfriendNot for lack of trying
>>168013780It's not like Sue is a real life person. A Marvel writer wrote that unnecessary plot line into the comics. Reed turned evil for unrelated reasons later on. They retconned his motivation at least two more times since Reed became "The Maker"
>>168004212All they need is James gun to do guardians of the galaxy again but with these assholes instead complete with quips and everything and mcutards will lap that slop up.
