I'm going to Quebec for the first time this summer, and I was wondering if there's any less tourist-y towns that are worth visiting. For reference I like meeting random people & adventuring with them for the day, beautiful nature that's not too far from humanity, and anywhere that looks like quaint Old World Europe. Thank you.

First, you'll be near the chic choc mountains, which is a great hiking place. You'll also be directly near the St-Laurent, if you like water sports. But what's important is the place in particular : it's a place out of the space and time. It's a refuge for free spirits. There's no chance you'll go there and won't have fun : there are parties / music shows every day. People are already friendly in Gaspésie, but this place in particular is special.
