Unless your some eco tourists that loves animals or your one of those "world" travelers that must travel to every country on earth I don't see the point of visiting this place.
>>
Australian here, fully agree, but I think you underestimate how many people travel for nature. As a general rule, there are very few "new world" countries - or African countries for that matter - where nature isn't the primary (if not only) reason to go.
Like, why would I go to the US? To gorge myself on corn syrup and over pay for 7XL clothing? Fuck that, I'm going to yellow stone.
>>
>>2404145
Australia is the world’s biggest nuclear shelter, a self reliant island that specializes in biodiversity and passes the time extracting resources / bullying neighbours into giving up their resources. New zealeand is probably better for this tho, I know a guy who moved there cuz of Fukushima
>>
>>2404269
>self reliant
lol
>>
>>2404145
90% of people who travel here are just English people looking for a hotter version of England.
You also get the old boomers with no family from bongland who have no family so are willing to move to the other side of the world - it unironically has better paying low education roles - people like electricians, plumbers, even nurses get paid about 50-100% more than in England so it lures the dim over there as they just think of the bottom line, it takes them a while before they realise the cost of living is just as high if not higher than the UK and house prices are even more extortionate if they want to live somewhere nice but sun shine aye?

People have a romanic idea of Australia because of media portrayal. They think it's this fun wild place full of cute marsupials. I'm sure they realise its just the same globohomo monoculture once they get here. But at least there are nice beaches and they can get dicked by an Aussie guys so for the most part they seem happy they came. We do have pretty nature too.
>>
Australia is only good for nature, 4wding. If you are in Australia and don't 4wd. You are missing on 90% of the best stuff in the country.
Has nightlife on the level of North Korea, so don't expect any partying and it's just a sterile mashup of the US/UK without the fun culturally.

>Lived there for 5 years.
>>
>>2404145
Its heaven. Its clean. Its modern. Its quiet. Its isolated.
I'm British born, and I lived in England for my first 8 years of life, my family then moved us to Perth Western Australia.
Its amazing. Its so clean and quiet compared to shithole UK.
The infrastructure is modern, the neighbours are kind.
Its all amazing.
The winter in WA is gorgeous, the rain is so much better than dreary English rain.
Its not super hot, its nice and cool wth an ocean breeze (we lived 5 mins from ocean)
Yes, in summer it gets a little too hot for comfort.
But at least they have fucking AC, like a first world nation should.
Sadly I moved back to UK in 2021 without any say, and I am trying to get back soon.
I'm a sperg NEET so its hard but if it gets me out of shithole UK its worth it.
Its perfect for me.
I mean Australia is like 40x bigger than UK and it has a 25 million population.
UK is a tiny shithole island with 70 million population.
I think WA has a population of 2.5 million - 3 million.
Its the biggest state, and has that few people, its heaven.
You are also isolated from the rest of the world in the ocean down there, where as UK is in the center of the European bullshit.
Always some trash happening here that effects us.
Anyway thats my rant over.
UK is a shithole, AU is heaven.

Salaries are pretty similar to UK. The reason everyone does the Dubai meme is the 0 taxes. You can go live like a thot and get paid relatively well to do pretty much anything there, I have a few friends who have done it - major downside is the fact you'll never be a local and have to live in an enclave. Seems a decent thing to do for a few years if money is your only driving factor but after that seems boring.

Where should i go as a surfer? Gold and sunshine coast seem extremely crowded. Will i get rekt at Margaret River? I'm just an average surfer, after 8ft it's too much for me
>>
>>2408375
Gold Coast (and Noosa) is only going to be crowed over Easter, Christmas and Long Weekends and at the popular beaches (Main, Surfer's and Burliegh). Sunshine Coast beaches even on the above days are not too crowded, and northern NSW (excluding Byron) will be even less crowded.

Snapper/Coolangatta is a good location that isn't too busy. Don't forget about North Stradbroke as well.

I just spent the weekend in London. Holy shit it's bad. Dirty crowded and ugly.

And poor. My mate has been there 2 years now and has a million dollar house. It's a tiny 2 bed 1 bath shithole. He has years of experience and a management position in a London company yet makes less money than me. He has to study an MBA to even get a look at promotion. They spend thousands of pounds on electricity and gas. I litterally run the aircon for free on solar.

And yes technically London has more entertainment and restaurants. But I've got 100 restaurants within a 10min drive. They've got 20 kebab and fried chicken shops within 10min, for anything else they have to go into central london. And that's a giant pain in the arse so they don't. They live a more suburban life in one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities than I do in the arse end of Australia.

Australia is really expensive to travel due to poor infrastructure coverage, the hotels aren't great, the night life is average at best, the people are uh...a mixed bag.

I moved here for a girl awhile back, and have stayed here more or less for the past 7 years. Australians are one of the dumbest nationalities I've met. This place will take any previous passions you had, and turn you into a mediocre mortgage paying dullard. I used to say it's a good place to raise children, but if you do, your kids will end up just as mediocre and dull as the people here.

Asia. Better lifestyle. I don't *really* care about other races, but Australia seems to import the ugliest/most retarded. It's as if they brought each group from the most backwards-ass village they could find in their respective country (doesn't matter from where - Serbia, Lebanon, Vietnam etc.), and repeatedly bred them together.

How hard are remote and farm jobs are to find in the rural fuckhole and outback, I'm planning to spend 3 years or so

Australia is a very big country. You could spend years and still not see every town and place of interest. If you're actually interested in visiting I would suggest checking out some of the videos of Malcolm Douglas travelling out to country. It's easy to get caught up in the city life here and that's what most people do but frankly it's dull and overpriced compared to Europe or Asia. On the other hand when you get out the into the expanse you're met with a freedom I've only experienced elsewhere in Mongolia. That doesn't appeal to everyone, and that's okay.

Well, as a someone who lived in WA for 9 years and currently living in the UK I can tell you the UK summers are no joke as of lately.
The 2022 summer heat wave was worst than any summer I ever spent in Perth. I have been in 45-50 degree days in Perth and it felt cooler than what 35-40 degrees did in the UK.
You have no Ocean breeze, the air is thick and muggy, your house is designed to keep as much heat IN, so your home is a sauna, you have no air conditioning systems. It is seriously the closest I have ever came to ending my life. It was that miserable.
I'd take a Perth summer over UK summer anyday, that Ocean breeze and air is such a relief.
Not to mention the fact you can literally go into the ocean if you want. I am in the center of the UK so no Ocean near me.
