Unless your some eco tourists that loves animals or your one of those "world" travelers that must travel to every country on earth I don't see the point of visiting this place.
Australian here, fully agree, but I think you underestimate how many people travel for nature. As a general rule, there are very few "new world" countries - or African countries for that matter - where nature isn't the primary (if not only) reason to go.Like, why would I go to the US? To gorge myself on corn syrup and over pay for 7XL clothing? Fuck that, I'm going to yellow stone.
>>2404145Australia is the world’s biggest nuclear shelter, a self reliant island that specializes in biodiversity and passes the time extracting resources / bullying neighbours into giving up their resources. New zealeand is probably better for this tho, I know a guy who moved there cuz of Fukushima
>>240414590% of people who travel here are just English people looking for a hotter version of England. You also get the old boomers with no family from bongland who have no family so are willing to move to the other side of the world - it unironically has better paying low education roles - people like electricians, plumbers, even nurses get paid about 50-100% more than in England so it lures the dim over there as they just think of the bottom line, it takes them a while before they realise the cost of living is just as high if not higher than the UK and house prices are even more extortionate if they want to live somewhere nice but sun shine aye?
>>2404145nothing please dont comeunless your white then move here please
>>2404145People have a romanic idea of Australia because of media portrayal. They think it's this fun wild place full of cute marsupials. I'm sure they realise its just the same globohomo monoculture once they get here. But at least there are nice beaches and they can get dicked by an Aussie guys so for the most part they seem happy they came. We do have pretty nature too.
Australia is only good for nature, 4wding. If you are in Australia and don't 4wd. You are missing on 90% of the best stuff in the country.Has nightlife on the level of North Korea, so don't expect any partying and it's just a sterile mashup of the US/UK without the fun culturally.>Lived there for 5 years.
>>2404145Its heaven. Its clean. Its modern. Its quiet. Its isolated.I'm British born, and I lived in England for my first 8 years of life, my family then moved us to Perth Western Australia. Its amazing. Its so clean and quiet compared to shithole UK. The infrastructure is modern, the neighbours are kind. Its all amazing. The winter in WA is gorgeous, the rain is so much better than dreary English rain. Its not super hot, its nice and cool wth an ocean breeze (we lived 5 mins from ocean)Yes, in summer it gets a little too hot for comfort. But at least they have fucking AC, like a first world nation should.Sadly I moved back to UK in 2021 without any say, and I am trying to get back soon.I'm a sperg NEET so its hard but if it gets me out of shithole UK its worth it.Its perfect for me.I mean Australia is like 40x bigger than UK and it has a 25 million population.UK is a tiny shithole island with 70 million population.I think WA has a population of 2.5 million - 3 million. Its the biggest state, and has that few people, its heaven. You are also isolated from the rest of the world in the ocean down there, where as UK is in the center of the European bullshit.Always some trash happening here that effects us.Anyway thats my rant over.UK is a shithole, AU is heaven.
>>2406263Well you didn't read my post so you didn't find out that your post is not applicable with mine.
>>2404145literally one of if not the best country's in the world for surfing/beach in general and all you retard travels just go to bondi
The only people I know that want to go to Australia are vapid Japanese girls that want to study Ingurishyu. Australia might be one of the most soulless countries in the world. Full of people obsessed with their own bodies. Shithole
>>2406265It's literally the same nonsense.>UK is a shit hole aus is so modern and amazing and huge!Literally 90% of the population live in 10% of the country and the other 90% of the land is uninhabitable. It's a dump of a country
>>2404145Everyone in Australia was in the X-Games.
>>2404145>but I think you underestimate how many people travel for naturethisplaces like Tekapo in New Zealand are chock full of cityfags from NY, Tokyo and Beijing flying halfway across the world to see stars in the night sky for the first time in their lives
>>2405179>skilled trades>low education roleselectricians and plumbers make 200k/year specifically because they're highly skilled positions in short supply. australian laws/standards surrounding doing these jobs are very strict and autistic so 3rdies cant just waltz in and casually get a sparky/plumber job
>>2406332Thats perfect for me.Less population, way way way larger. Its quiet and clean.Unlike the dump of a shtihole that is the UK
>>2406332Anon how do you justify these terraced shit boxes when I used to have a suburban bungalow with a pool and a nice gardenMy house WASNT FUCKING ATTACHED TO MY NEIGHBOURS.English housing is abysmal.Disgusting.
>>2406542Any trade that is primarily made up of people to stupid to pass their 11+ exams and requires 0 education to get into it will never be deemed as >Highly skilled>>2406555>If you are poor then you live in houses like this, why would you possibly judge a country by the lowest standard of housing it has? Do well in life, move out to the countryside and live in pic related. Imagine not living in a house that's been here since the 1800's
>>2405179What are teacher salaries like in Aus and can Brits get visas easily? All my colleagues are going off to places like Dubai or to African shithole international schools

There is currently a shortage of teachers so I don't think it would be too difficult to get a visa.
Australian girls are hot and horny, definitely a plus.
>>2406628As this sperg said >>2406636Salaries are pretty similar to UK. The reason everyone does the Dubai meme is the 0 taxes. You can go live like a thot and get paid relatively well to do pretty much anything there, I have a few friends who have done it - major downside is the fact you'll never be a local and have to live in an enclave. Seems a decent thing to do for a few years if money is your only driving factor but after that seems boring.
>>2406292Where should i go as a surfer? Gold and sunshine coast seem extremely crowded. Will i get rekt at Margaret River? I'm just an average surfer, after 8ft it's too much for me
>>2408375Gold Coast (and Noosa) is only going to be crowed over Easter, Christmas and Long Weekends and at the popular beaches (Main, Surfer's and Burliegh). Sunshine Coast beaches even on the above days are not too crowded, and northern NSW (excluding Byron) will be even less crowded.Snapper/Coolangatta is a good location that isn't too busy. Don't forget about North Stradbroke as well.
>>2408692>Snapper is good location that isn't too busyKinda hard to take anything in your post seriously bruhttps://youtu.be/KV5I99jEKUs
>>2409277Dec 30th, of course it's busy, it's literally the busiest time of the year (Dec 27 - Jan 3). I also meant coolangatta in general, snapper is just a bonus.
>>2406228I'm going to assume you lived in Joondalup with the rest of the brits.
>>2409415Connolly, close enough. Yeah its true, if I went to Midland or Northbridge I'd get bottled. Its still better than where I live in the UK where if I leave after 10pm I get shanked.
>>2406228>>2406628Just remember, you're British NOT Australian. Not your country, not your people, not your culture. You waltz over here acting like you own us and you will get your pommy jaw smashed, cunts
>>2406812Salaries in Australia are around 3x as much as the UK lad, what are you smoking? Cost of living is identical except that fuel is cheaper in Australia.
>>2409657Well I lived in Australia longer than I lived in UK so I consider myself more Australian.Sorry if I hurt any feelings or something.
I just spent the weekend in London. Holy shit it's bad. Dirty crowded and ugly. And poor. My mate has been there 2 years now and has a million dollar house. It's a tiny 2 bed 1 bath shithole. He has years of experience and a management position in a London company yet makes less money than me. He has to study an MBA to even get a look at promotion. They spend thousands of pounds on electricity and gas. I litterally run the aircon for free on solar. And yes technically London has more entertainment and restaurants. But I've got 100 restaurants within a 10min drive. They've got 20 kebab and fried chicken shops within 10min, for anything else they have to go into central london. And that's a giant pain in the arse so they don't. They live a more suburban life in one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities than I do in the arse end of Australia.
>>2406085>need a 4wd to see AustraliaFuck off back to whatever shit hole you crawled out of 4wdfags shit up everything>roads>beaches>hiking trails>the fucken carpark at my local aldiEverywhere your oversized shitmobile goes i can get on me own 2 feet without being an obnoxious cunt
Australia is really expensive to travel due to poor infrastructure coverage, the hotels aren't great, the night life is average at best, the people are uh...a mixed bag.
I moved here for a girl awhile back, and have stayed here more or less for the past 7 years. Australians are one of the dumbest nationalities I've met. This place will take any previous passions you had, and turn you into a mediocre mortgage paying dullard. I used to say it's a good place to raise children, but if you do, your kids will end up just as mediocre and dull as the people here.
>>2404707At least it used to be self reliant
>>2406228tasmania is the biggest state you mouthbreathing retard
>>2412693Mediocrity is truly a hellish state of existence. Do you think there'll be any changes in the future (15-30 years)?
>>2412693Good summary. I’m Australian and have been avoiding that my entire adult life. Saw the world but have relented and I’m now another mortgage paying wage cuck with a wife, baby and at best average intelligence. I don’t watch any Australian TV which offsets it a bit and try reading the classics/teaching my son chess, but I still get dumber and dumber each year.
>>2412890My condolences...How's Melbourne? Isn't it supposed to be Australia's cultural capital (this is probably bullshit). Where do you live?
>>2412878what the fuck are you talking about. Australia has no oil you retard
>>2412888I hope I'm no longer in Australia by the end of this year, so I really don't want to see what the future holds first hand. But if you've ever wondered what race-mixing, coupled with a culture that celebrates everything low-brow, looks like - come to Australia. A country full of ethnically ambiguous tradesmen and instathots (imagine the pure disgust at seeing some Viet-Maltese girl the size of an elephant). All fucking retarded.
>>2406541Tekapo is a bizarre place. I used to live about 3 hours away from it There is fucken nothing to do there aside from staring at scenery, and prices are Queenstown-tier. There are fuckhueg Japanese/Chinese restaurants to serve busloads of tourists and they run out of capacity/food when it's really busy.
>>2414825>race-mixingI thought Australia was white and lowkey racist...Where do you plan to go? Europe?
I think for a lot of people it literally is just "it's England but sunny and with beaches"
>>2406541The whole lakes area has been ruined by t*urists I hate them so much, when I was walking through Wanaka I stopped to sit and have lunch under the Wanaka tree for an hour just to make them seethe they couldn't get their very special photo of the already most photographed tree on the planet, it made a lot of people seethe, get fucked faggots.
>>2415084Asia. Better lifestyle. I don't *really* care about other races, but Australia seems to import the ugliest/most retarded. It's as if they brought each group from the most backwards-ass village they could find in their respective country (doesn't matter from where - Serbia, Lebanon, Vietnam etc.), and repeatedly bred them together.
>>2409657Australia is so yandere towards the Brits, always whinging about something but at the same time the UK is barely considered a foreign country there.t. True-blue Aussie abroad
>>2409657You're probably a chink. Australians are only a few generations removed from being British.
>>2417227>be aussie, bong or mutt>china lives rent free in your headWhat causes such levels of butthurt bros?
>>2412890>but have relented and I’m now another mortgage paying wage cuck with a wife, baby and at best average intelligencehahahaha is your wife hot at least?
>>2415154Which Asian country you consider that’s worth moving to?
>>2415154>>2414825Mate you just live in western sydney, just move to literally anywhere else in the country
>>2414825>>2415154yeah just try somewhere that isn't suburban sydney or melbourne it's easier than moving to another country
>>2404145Because Aussie land is fucking based. People are friendly. Cities are clean. Women, at least from my experience, are easy enough to have fun with. (Not just the out of towners looking for vacation romances, the locals as well.) I mean I guess if you have no money it would suck. :)
>>2404243I guess growing up around nature you kind of take it for granted desu, because I would never travel somewhere just for nature. I would travel for skiing though, but I feel that's a bit different.t. PNWer. Pic is OC near Jasper.
How hard are remote and farm jobs are to find in the rural fuckhole and outback, I'm planning to spend 3 years or so
Australia is a very big country. You could spend years and still not see every town and place of interest. If you're actually interested in visiting I would suggest checking out some of the videos of Malcolm Douglas travelling out to country. It's easy to get caught up in the city life here and that's what most people do but frankly it's dull and overpriced compared to Europe or Asia. On the other hand when you get out the into the expanse you're met with a freedom I've only experienced elsewhere in Mongolia. That doesn't appeal to everyone, and that's okay. https://youtu.be/QnMQQneEaKE
>>2409657>Not your country, not your people, not your cultureMost Australians are British decent so Australians are his people. Australia is a nation of British origin with British history, values and traditions. So yes it is his culture also.
I live in Victoria and i've basically never been outside the cities in 40 years, how do I get remote other Aus bros? Drive to Wilson's prom and sleep in my car?
>>2404145>Unless your some eco tourists that loves animals or your one of those "world" travelers that must travel to every country on earth I don't see the point of visiting this place. Then don't.
>>2405574Meh steaks, but I do like the Bloomin' Onion.
How do I get someone to drive me across the Outback? I wanna see the dingo fence, uluru, some weird little towns stuck in time, mad max hellscapes, square up with a roo, get chased by a cassie, as much wildlife as possible like scary spiders and snakes, abbos playing the didgeridoo and getting drunk etc. is it more fun to go from sydney to perth or melbourne to darwin? and is tasmania worth seeing? what about queensland?thanks.
>>2404145I’m from Peru and I’m going to travel to Australia in May. I’m really afraid to quit my job and start from 0. Now, I have a decent work in Peru but a few years ago my situation wasn’t like that, then I asked for the WHV, that cost me a lot of money and soon that visa will be expire.
>>2406541>Tekapo>>2414847>TekapoLol what, Lake Tekapo is a fucking random ass place. I had no idea it was a tourist attraction.I only know it as the place I went to once with my flatmates on a road trip and we jumped in the lake at 6am for a laugh. Not a fucking destination to go out of you way for.
>>2405179Sun is a valid reason to move. UK is very grim 99% of the time.
>>2424115Well, as a someone who lived in WA for 9 years and currently living in the UK I can tell you the UK summers are no joke as of lately. The 2022 summer heat wave was worst than any summer I ever spent in Perth. I have been in 45-50 degree days in Perth and it felt cooler than what 35-40 degrees did in the UK.You have no Ocean breeze, the air is thick and muggy, your house is designed to keep as much heat IN, so your home is a sauna, you have no air conditioning systems. It is seriously the closest I have ever came to ending my life. It was that miserable. I'd take a Perth summer over UK summer anyday, that Ocean breeze and air is such a relief. Not to mention the fact you can literally go into the ocean if you want. I am in the center of the UK so no Ocean near me.
>>2424193>I am in the center of the UK so no Ocean near me.What the fuck are you even doing in Leicwardshire? I can understand ditching Australia for career opportunities in London, but as you're in the middle of nowhere, I assume that isn't the case.
>>2424198I didn't have a choice or say in the move to the UK anon, I am trying to get back since the UKs a shithole.
