Happy 19th Birthday 4chan!

It’s finally opening boys!
> Prime Minister Kishida makes announcement in New York
> Domestic travel discounts will be introduced at the same time

> Japan will abolish a slew of Covid border controls from Oct. 11, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said in New York, in a move that looks set to revive the tourism industry.
>Individual visitors will be allowed to enter, and Japan will reinstate visa waivers, Kishida said at a news conference Thursday in New York. The cap on daily arrivals in Japan will also be ended, he said.
>Japan’s move to scrap most restrictions on foreign tourists comes as the country’s deadliest wave of the pandemic recedes. It also coincides with the yen slumping to its lowest levels against the dollar in almost a quarter of a century, making the archipelago an inexpensive, attractive destination for visitors from overseas.
>Discounts for domestic travel will be introduced at the same time, Kishida added. After seeing a tourism boom before the pandemic, airlines, hotels and retailers are all seeking to regain the business they lost.
> Kishida’s cautious attitude to opening up after the first waves of the pandemic won him plaudits from voters still nervous about infections, while business leaders have complained about damage to the economy and urged him to fling the doors open.
>Before Covid, Japan let visitors from 68 countries and regions, including the US, stay for as long as 90 days without a visa. Visitor numbers reached a record of almost 32 million in 2019, slumping to about 246,000 last year.

I will be slinging ropes of cum all over japanese girls faces in a matter of weeks and there is NOTHING doomcucks can do about it
>>
young based coomer reporting in. I don't care about the weeb stuff, culture, history or any other of that cringe stuff. can someone give me a quick run down on the jap pussy?
>>
>>2330918
As a monger who's travelled to Japan 30 odd times this won't be happening for you sadly. You'll be sitting in your APA hotel with a Tenga egg stretched over your cock and that's about it.
>>
>>2330931
do you have any tips for finding girls in japan anon
>>
>>2330966
Yeah just go pay 40 bucks and go to a pink salon and fill some 35 year old Japs mouth with a hot load of cum. I used to visit three times a day in kabukicho last trip. I did a soap in Ueno was like 450 bucks but she was so fucking hot...but I wouldn't do that again I'd just get my dick sucked for the price of a few beers
It's in public too kinda like being in a really old movie theatre with high back velvet chairs
>>

im not a fan of that unfortunately. i dont mind it as a quickie, but id be more into relationship type stuff too. I'm hoping seeking or tinder will be easy as im quite the autist when talking to foreign girls in clubs

Back to planning an itinerary for March next year, feelsgoodman. One thing I've noticed when looking up itinerary stuff is people referring to trips to Japan as "once in a lifetime" trips. This might be highly autistic but I've never really understood this phrase, if you like somewhere why not go back? What makes something a "once in a lifetime" trip? I hate the phrase because to me it implies you have to spend your whole life doing things you hate (working) to save money to get ONE (1) singular big trip, and then that's it for you.
>>
>>2331395
Personally, if I go somewhere once, I don’t want to go back because I could be traveling somewhere new instead. When I go somewhere I try and see EVERYTHING and exhaust all the things I can do there if possible

You should check on a map for your Kyoto things, eg Monkey park is at Arashiyama.

I forgot that was happening. Apparently it should be done for next year. You should go anyway, it's lovely there and there's more to see than just the floating gate.

I'm planning my trip to Japan in January and I will visit the following locations: Tokyo, Matsumoto,Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima (maybe Osaka, but I've already been there). Now I still have a week left and I don't know if I should go to Kyushu or the north of Japan. Which did you like better? I've only been to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka so far.
>>
>>2331441
So besides adding a few other cities for the extra week do all the individual things look good? Any attractions in particular I should go to? It just so happens that the October 11th opening works perfectly for me to be able to take a vacation there, but would it be worth it to go in the spring?

You can find them at some adult video stores in Akihabara and random video shops elsewhere. Most stores have a separate small section dedicated to just U15 Blu Rays and magazines. There's not as much new content anymore, but Chu-Boh magazines are usually stocked.

Does it really matter if I arrive/leave at Haneda or Narita? My trip will start in Tokyo but I may be venturing quite far south (going for a month). Wondering if there's any airport strategy. Was just gonna arrive and depart from Haneda.
>>
>>2331929
I prefer Haneda, because it's so close to central Tokyo.
Also, if you depart early in the morning, when the trains are either packed or unavailable, it's easy just to request the hotel reception to order you a cab for the morning of the departure; if you don't know any Japanese, you might encounter a language barrier with the taxi drivers, so it helps a lot when a native speaker handles it for you.

Alright fellas, here's a question for people actually living in Japan (specifically Tokyo) or someone who has visited recently.

What is the situation with masks outdoors? I understand it's not mandated but what percentage of people actually wear them outdoors?

I went to Korea a few months ago and everyone was telling me before I went that EVERYONE in Korea wears a mask and if you don't wear one you'll get whispers and someone will go autismo at you - obviously this didn't happen and despite 95% of Koreans wearing a mask outdoors - I never had any issues and once again it was just an example of the internet being dramatic.

So what's it actually like? Are 95% people wearing masks outside? What percentage of foreigners aren't wearing masks?
Either way, I'm not going to wear a mask outside regardless.
>>
>>2331944
>I prefer Haneda, because it's so close to central Tokyo.

Narita customs > HND
Besides train ride is nice on the NEX as you can just sit enjoy the scenes, make sure wifi/mobile data is good, and hotel shit in order.

HND is just a clusterfuck compared to NRT

I don't live there but I have 2 friends who do long term. What they told me and what you wrote about Koreans is 1 to 1. It ain't illegal but you'll DEFINITELY get whispers, avoided in public, maybe even ushered out of shops.
>>
>>2331987
pretty much everywhere except places like akihabara, denden town, and nakano broadway.
>>
>>2331954
Really depends where you go. I was in Osaka a few weeks ago and no one gave a fuck. Other places I've seen probably around 80% masked outdoors. This goes for foreigners and natives.

Granted, each passing week I'm seeing more and more people not bother with them outside.
>>
>>2331929
I believe Haneda is faster than Narita to get to Tokyo. Thats about the only diff

99.9% of Japanese people wear masks outside right now. No one's given me shit for going around without a mask, though. I've been on Shinkansens, gone to restaurants, taken domestic flights, no one calls me out.

Just last week I sat down on the train without a mask and this little old lady got in a big huff about it. Without saying anything, but being visibly upset, she got up and moved to another car. Careful grandma, I might BREATHE on you! Oh the poison air from my nostrils! It's filling up the compartment! You're gonna die for sure, obaachan!

Its not that easy to get laid if you dont speak japanese
The second time there i didnt smash but the first time i found a girl on a dating app, cutest 21 year old who just had coming of age
Since i only had with one japanese so far i cant tell, but it seemed they are built petite even down there, didnt really work out that great cause i got a thick 7.5 inch schlong and she was more afraid than into it
They also never seem to have time besides the weekends...
I imagine if you can speak japanese and are mid 20 you could easily date lots of uni students tho

Only anons, I have 5 weeks of vacation time I can/need to use by the end of year. Hypothetically, if I can even get into Japan, where are some unique places to go to during November or December? That is assuming prices on anything else is reasonable

Not that anon but I had two seperate soapland experiences in Yoshiwara in 2018. Its expensive but its worth a try for the novelty. I'd note you will get fucked by the gaijin tax if they let you in. You can haggle a tiny bit as they will try to upsell you but be polite as they can just as easily make you leave. I'd advise knowing enough japanese to communicate what you want also. Didn't get to fuck without condom but from what I've read if you have enough money or are a repeat customer you can. Girls were hot, especially the second one that spoke broken english and went full on the GFE part of it.

Technically yes. As long as you make sure her parents and herself are cool with it, it's actually not even illegal to have sex with a 13 yo kid in Japan. Unlike how it is in the West, having sex with a minor doesn't automatically count as rape there.

outside almost everyone wears a mask especially in the cities, even in parks.
I have almost never worn a mask outside except for a couple weeks in April 2020.
People may stare at you, especially if you are talking.
no one has ever said anything to me, although last month an old guy saw me without a mask(outside) and started putting his hand to his mask and running away and when many kids see me they gasp on put their hands over their mask.. Also many people will pinch the nose seam on their mask when they walk by you(mostly boomers, otaku in there 20s and kids who do this)

Thankfully this is not Taiwan where I have heard people will scream at you if you dont wear a mask(outdoors, indoors without a mask will probably get you arrested and deported).

>I was planning on taking 3k for flight, food, hotel, and fun, will that be enough or is 3k too low?
>I understand that you will be fine without English in the major cities but how screwed am I if into the smaller tiny towns?

>>
>>2333395
Dunno not merimutt, but flights are very expensive rn.
Last time I was in Japan my trip with all expenses was 2200€. Of that, the flight was 650€.
No one really understands English. In the big cities you are fine because restaurant menues, train stations, etc have everything in English. But from my experience you can make things work with their minimal understaning of English, gestures and Google. People are usually very open to accomodating you.
What is a "pre loaded card"? The best way to get money in Japan is by credit card from ATMs. 711 and the Japanese post office allow you to withdraw money for free. But 711 seems to have changed their system from what I can read and you now have to manually select YEN, otherwise they will scam you with their shitty interest rate.

Whats with americans and paying thousands of dollars for a 7 day holiday???
>>
>>2333397
Hostel expense really depend on where in Japan you'll be. Even in Tokyo you can find decent stuff for 30-40 dollars a night if you are willing to take the train for about an hour to get into a popular district, but if you want to be downtown shit's gonna be expensive.
>how screwed am I if into the smaller tiny towns?
Not really screwed, from my experience people are comprehensive and will take it lightly / laugh.
Worse case, you have a phone and access to google/apple translation it works wonder and people will be willing to type on that for conversation.
>Should I get a pre loaded card or should I wait to get there and exchange us currency for Japanese currency, not sure how it all works.
Just top up a suica card once you arrive, its helpful for many things, for the rest you can just apple/google/contactless and there's ATMs in like every 7/11 or family mart.
>I was planning on taking 3k for flight, food, hotel, and fun, will that be enough or is 3k too low?

>>
>>2333494
Yeah our group was able to get a "shared apartment", where guests had to share 2 toilet and shower stalls, but there were individual rooms for sleeping and there were enough for each of us. The price was ridiculously low too because we split the cost between 6 people, so it ended up being like $20-$30 per night.

However this was before there was that big crackdown on AirBNB and now there are more rules and restrictions to follow to rent out your place, so not sure how easy it is to find such a place now.

Nobody is taking horse paste. Antivax virgins of /pol/ do not even know that all vaccine ingredients have been public information from day one. Book in advance and be flexible.
I booked my trip 2 days ago for early November, paid 900 euros for a round trip. Worth noting that i never put in exact dates, i just use "all of november" in skyscaner or such and then pick out my dates to the cheaper dates.

Sometimes even a 2 days variation will save you 300-400 eurosdollars.

Also yes the current prices of a trip to japan are horseshit, last time i went there it was 600-700 euros.
