Anyone been to Amsterdam? I'm planning a trip to Amsterdam in early June with two friends of mine and I'm looking for a couple bits of advice and things to do from anyone who's visited Amsterdam. We're all uni students so main things the trip will be focused on are:>Good food and cafes>Weed>Seeing the city>Night life>Maybe a couple museums>Seeing the red lights district>Meeting peopleI've only smoked pot once before but I plan to do plenty of that when I go to Amsterdam. Where are the best places for good weed in Amsterdam? People always say the coffee shops but what do I do, just walk in and ask for a latte and a blunt? Also looking for tips on getting around the city. Are bikes the best way to do it or are there plenty of trams and taxis available?Next is night life. Any good clubs and venues to just walk into and party, places with plenty other travelers? What about the red light district, how does that work? I'm thinking that while I'm there, I might as well get my dick licked, but I'll be traveling with two of my mates so I don't see how this would work, unless both of them will be just as eager to find a red lights worker. And lastly any general advice on travel to the city.>inb4: Amsterdam is shit, go to Shitdickkssburg or Dumbfuckkseburgen insteadI've locked it in and booked, not going to risk a holiday to some Dutch city I've never heard of because someone on the internet told me to go there instead.
I enjoy getting stoned and chilling at Deco Spa. Last time I was there I showered nude next to two hot chick, fucking Europe rocks.
>>2240274Weed will be good but will literally be 10x the cost of street weed. The hookers in the windows perform a mechanical routine with all their customers, you included. It's worth it for the experience but you wouldn't do it more than once or twice. As for how to get away from your mates, that's on you.
>>2240288Sounds like a good time actually but I'll probably do this on a second trip to Amsterdam a couple years from now.>>2240294Yeah but I have nowhere in Amsterdam to get street weed. I don't plan to smoke copious amounts so I'll just get the good stuff from the coffee shops or wherever sells them. As for the hookers, I doubt I'll find a way to get away from my friends for half an hour, near the RLD that doesn't make it obvious what I'm doing. Idc about them knowing I've gone window shopping for a handjob though. Still when I think it over in my head, seems like it will be a real expensive handjob.I've been told that the RLD hookers are nothing more than workers skilled at getting your money, sucking a dick, then getting you out. Is there any way of getting a little more out of it? I mean something more fun like some drugs involved or actual sex.If it's not worth it, I'll just look for a titty bar and get a couple drinks there. Speaking of which, do you know of any good titty bars in Amsterdam? Not looking for hookers on this one, just entertainment.
>>2240323I have not specifically been to the window hookers in Amsterdam but I have been to many other window hookers in other parts of the world. The routine is always the same. Suck and fuck. You will get laid but the whole point is what you just described, to get you to bust then get you out, and they may even rush you. I suspect the best bang for your buck may come from an escort.
>>2240326Any cool shit you see/do in Amsterdam that you'd recommend we do?
>>2240288The spa bought out the fittings from an old French Art Deco department store, really nice place to just chill at. It's a couple canals west of the city center. When I used to go I just used to get high and read and walk the city and look at the buildings, I'm fascinated by the architecture. Canal boat tour is nice way to see things. Tried the girls when I was younger but just a basic suck and fuck is the standard, half the time I would be just too high to even get it up lol, but I did enjoy walking red light district at night checking everything out. Heard a lot of it has been closed down or more limited.
>>2240274Smoked pot once... Slow your roll buddy. Don't jump right into the strongest shit you can find. Buy pre-rolls on the first day or so, they are weaker and this will let you ease into it. Other than that your list is decent. But honestly most of the times I have been there I end up just wandering around. The parks are nice and the art museum is also worth a visit.
>>2240498>Smoked pot once... Slow your roll buddy. Don't jump right into the strongest shit you can find.Lol, yeah man, go slow, have seen some newby tourists lose their shit after a couple puffs in the coffee shops. That said, I remember the Grey Area coffee shop had the best stuff, usually a grab and go line out the door. I liked to read at a shop now called The Plug Utopia. Abraxas shop had a trippy decor and had hash on the menu - back in the day. Anything Bulldog was a tourist trap.
>>2240518
>>2240520If you can head down to Rembrandt Square. Hunters I recall was a decent shop. If near Dam then I like city hall. It isn't flashy like the rest but super chill.
>>2240274
>>2240518>Anything Bulldog was a tourist trap.Fr? I've heard good things about the Bulldog cafe and palace.Any tips on not losing my shit and making a fool of myself when I smoke weed there? The pot I've smoked once before was really shit and I didn't have much of it. And how does buying weed at a cafe work, do you just go up and ask for a joint with your drinks lmao.
>>2240288that's pussy puritan shit compared to thailand
>>2240585>If you want milf prostitutes go to singelI'm not OP, but older women have been on my to-do list. I assume "milf" means around mid-40s, but is there any chance I could find one that's 60+?
>>2240591Yes there are maturesThere is a blonde one there in her late 50s / early 60s that is very very good and still has an excellent body, I see her every time I go to amsterdam
>>2240274Amsterdam is a great city. Been there 5-6 times since I was in my early 20’s to now and always do and discover new shit there. Weed-wise the anon who suggested Grey Area on point. Great stuff, but just pick stuff up and don’t waste your time hanging out in coffee shops. Laze around in the parks, see some movies, hit some brown cafes in Jordaan and De Pijp. Basically, just take it easy. It’s a great place to just chill and enjoy. There was an awesome place to smoke up, drink and play snooker and pool in a crumbling old mansion not far from the filth in the red light area, but I forgot the name. Maybe it’s still there.
>>2240587>that's pussy puritan shit compared to thailandyes I understand, I have been to Thailand over 30 times, what Im talking about was a classy experience in a place where the decor was art.
>>2240683>Basically, just take it easy. It’s a great place to just chill and enjoy.Enjoy the architecture
>>2240683>Amsterdam is a great city. Been there 5-6 times since I was in my early 20’s to now and always do and discover new shit there.I agree, It was my favorite entry point when I would fly to Europe, start there first for a few days to relax, haven't been in 10 years so I hope the advice I have been posting is still valid.>>2240563>Fr? I've heard good things about the Bulldog cafe and palace.Just my opinion, there are like 5 coffee shops plus other associated hotels and stuff, obviously check for yourself. It would be nice actually if you could post a report thread when there or on return, I'm interested in the current situation. >>2240563>And how does buying weed at a cafe work, do you just go up and ask for a joint with your drinks lmao. You can smoke what you have at the weed coffee shops, its just expected you buy a coffee or a drink there. If buying ask for their menu and you usually buy by the gram. Smile and greet who is tending the store with a good morning or good afternoon - that goes a long way.Dont smoke your gram all at once lol. More custom there to mix a joint with tobacco, if not for you, you could buy a simple pipe bowl and just start with a pinch at a time and see how you feel.

>>2240683Thanks for the high quality response. De Pijp looks really nice, I'll definitely check it out. Amsterdam sounds like a really chill place and I'm looking forward to it. Weed, good gin, calm atmosphere, canals, bars and clubs, entertainment. All a man needs.>>2240703>It would be nice actually if you could post a report thread when there or on return, I'm interested in the current situation.Yeah course, I'll do that. The trip starts in Amsterdam but it doesn't end there, so I'll probably only get around to making a little thread on what I thought of Amsterdam some time in July. I'll try the Bulldog places and note what I think of them and their current situation in the thread. If you're interested on seeing their situation just look out for Bulldog in the trv archives.>Dont smoke your gram all at once lol. More custom there to mix a joint with tobaccoLol sounds alright, I'll just have to get better at rolling these things.>>2240698>>2240704Heard something about how the wider the building, the more expensive it is. This custom seems to have lead to some really awesome looking architecture in the city.
>>2240713>Heard something about how the wider the building, the more expensive it is. This custom seems to have lead to some really awesome looking architecture in the city.Yeah, its definitely a reason to spend a couple days there and just walk and explore. Outside the red light district its quite relaxing, a couple of the canals right to the west, like Singel, Herengracht and keizersgracht and in that area were especially nice, but really explore everywhere. Even the pic I'm posting is in the red light.
>>2240274BumpI'm going in July, looking for recommedations on restaurants and dining? Anyone know any good vegetarian spots for my gee eff
>>2241941If you're looking to eat actual Dutch food, most of it is pretty underwhelming. If you're from a western or westernized country, there's a very strong chance you've already had something that's similar to what the Dutch normally eat. You'll find a lot of Indonesian & Surinamese restaurants in the Netherlands. If you're into Indonesian food or would like to try it, there's an option for you. Surinamese food is like a fusion of Indonesian, Indian, and Chinese food. While I personally don't know of any vegetarian options myself, it shouldn't be hard to find. It's a western country that gets lots of tourism, surely there's something for the granola girls & the so-y boys.FEBO is far from great, but you'll probably visit it for the novelty. Almost every tourist checks it out. The food is meh, but the presentation is kinda interesting.
>>2241958you're not fooling anyone pajeetback to your call centre
>Are bikes the best way to do it or are there plenty of trams and taxis available?I did not do biking, but will do that my second time. Download the GVB app if you don't plan on cycling around. It's for the metro, buss and trams, seriously useful. >People always say the coffee shops but what do I do, just walk in and ask for a latte and a blunt?Yeah, they have shitloads of strains as well to try out.I'd seriously considering doing a day trip to Bruges as well, you don't need a passport for it. Also no checks. I did a bus trip with shitloads of American boomers, then just went on my own to different bars and museums, the whole city is pure fantasy tier. Highly recommended.
>>2240294actually no, weed is more expensive everywhere on the street unless you buy in bulk, and then it will most likely be cup up with shit so its 50% pure at best. maybe there are more expensive strains who are indeed expensive but last i went there the gram cost 10 euros or 15 if you wanted something a bit more special
>>2242250>I'd seriously considering doing a day trip to Bruges as well, you don't need a passport for it. Also no checks. Bruges is a shithole
