Going on a vacation in California for two weeks soon and I wanted to get some new luggage. Any recommendations?

I always get my luggage from goodwill. I can afford better but it is so cheap.
>>2008225I recommend landscaping quality garbage bags. Double bag, don’t be a cheap charlie. The extra cost is worth it for the peace of mind.
Honestly it might sound very normie but i've always sworn by Samsonite
>>2008225I've gone through a lot of luggage in my time (old, used to travel internationally for business a lot, frugal bordering on cheap, often to my detriment when it comes to luggage--I bought multiple cheapo bags that were shit and did not last).Best small bag I've personally owned (and still own) is a Travelpro carry-on. I also have a larger Samsonite suitcase that is still in business after 15+ years of heavy use.I also had a really nice, very small Tumi laptop/overnight bag, but I don't think the quality justified the (frankly outrageous) price. I would probably still use it if I hadn't given it to my brother, but I wouldn't bother buying another one. Have a Rimowa suitcase as well, but don't believe the hype--not as special as they are expensive. I was dumb and rich and bought one because I thought it looked cool. It does look cool. But the Travelpro cost a lot less and is a more practical design.
