There are still no signs from the Philippines government that they are ready to reopen their border for international tourism anytime soon.

The Philippines has been under strict lockdowns for more than nine months now, but in the last month, the government has slowly started easing restrictions for locals.

A Tourism hotspot and tropical paradise, the Philippines has long been a favorite for, beach lovers, and ladyboy enthusiasts, and boomer sexpats for decades.

Anybody care to share any crazy stories or experiences? Can I live in the PHILIPPINES for 400 dollars a month? How much is a dirty foot hooker in Manila? Should I open a bar or start a pig farm? Can I get laid?

Strangely enough that orange building in the lower left hand corner is the first place I ever stayed in the Philippines. Bayfront hotel. The Japanese raped a bunch of Filipino politicians wives and daughters during the final battle of Manila there during ww2. Fun fact

That's Malate Bayside and you're a pretty much a pussy if you wouldn't venture off into Makati, QC, or south Manila.

So many fucking faggots on this board so scared to go into anything metro manila, or provinces.

Fun fact too,you can stay at the manila hotel in the MacAuthor suite

Compared to the rest of south east asia it has a very stabby vibe. But the women are easy, and let you hit it raw. It's not a place to let your guard down.

I visited the philippines back in 2019

I liked Manilla because it was my first experience with a major Asian metropole. And it was alot of fun to walk somewhere, where you actualy feel special as a white (relatively tall) foreigner. I had a blast because I also had alot of fun dating girls while I was there.

The people are friendly, great at English but the city itself is very crowded, the traffic is fucking insane (almost missed my flight back home because of the famous Manilla rush hour jam). Also lot's of holes and pots on the sidewalks, watch where you walk, I fell down on the first day because I wasn't paying attention.

I stayed in Manilla for about 5 days and visited Palawan after that and then Borocay.

Especially Palawan is highly recommended.

To be honest it's my first Asian country I visited so I don't know how it stacks up to others. But for me it was fantastic, and having little to no language barrier made it alot easier traveling alone.

Oh, and don't try and cheap out on really cheap hotels/hostels/airbnbs because you will be seeing vermin and roaches if you do, better to pay a bit extra if you do.

Also having a place with a working AC is a must!
>>

As a foreigner, how difficult is it to cash out Bitcoin in the Philippines?

How about for a Filipina? Would a random chick be able to set up an account with the local exchange and cash out for me?

How bad do the BTC exchanges jew you on rates? Oh, and do they handle the shitcoin hardforks like BCH and BSV?
>>

I'm ethnically Filipino but born and raised in North America. I kinda wanna go back to my roots, kinda because I'm getting fed up with the West. If I have a math or CS bachelor's degree, what kind of job can I get in the Philippines? I'm sure the family I have there can help me with a place to live in but what are some of the best/safest places to live? Also, I haven't been keeping up with politics, are Duterte Killing Squads (still) a thing?
>>

Salary pay for Filipinos is a couple of hundred dollars a month. If you are entrepreneurial and have some ideas you can start your own company and recruit locals. If you don't have any ideas what to do for work, you can try working for the few international or NGO companies that pay foreigners well or you can run/supervise a call center.
>>
>>1937289

>>
>>1936543
Very hard, most pinoys are cash poor, if you pass 100k peso in BTC, you will have to do KYC, and then they'll ban you anyway. BTC atms exist at 8-15% fees, local brokers (like me) did 3-6% but mostly at casinos.

>>
>>1937283
earn dollars, spend pesos. hell, buy property whenever you visit too, make it your retirement plan. but don't bother getting a job if you have American citizenship like wtf, you can earn so much more money and a higher quality of life

also watch out for green card diggers the moment any girl knows you're a foreigner especially if you don't know the language lmao
>>
>>1937825
What about buying stocks or remote work (programming and the such)?
>>
>>1937835
if you're gonna buy stocks, buy in the US market so you get sweet sweet US dollar dividends that you can maybe live on. For programming and remote work, I guess if you have the balls to travel overseas while being employed by a US tech company that might work, or if you're a freelancer just keep a home legal address in the states

long story short anon, it's very fun short term but not worth it long term. all relationships turn into visadiggers, all family visits turn into asking for money, and all friends still see you as "the american" -- you're just a walking talking ticket out of their hellhole unless you keep a low profile and can pass as a local complete with their accent

but not long term. Never works out long term
>>
>>1937839
>you're just a walking talking ticket out of their hellhole unless you keep a low profile and can pass as a local complete with their accent
Well, I will brush up on my tagalog, but I will speak English with an American accent just to flex.

>>
>>1937865
>>1937872

oh and come to think of it, if they hear your american accent prepare to have whatever anyone is selling to get price jacked. food, taxi fares, etc. it's utter BS but that's what happens
>>
>>1937873
sounds like I need to brush up on my filipino accent then
>>
>>1937875
it's largely regional. Someone smart would visit their extended family FIRST and try to mimic their accent, and if people ask, just say you are from that region (because you were just there, get it). If you try to get a general accent you will come off as a foreigner faking it, especially if you try to "learn it" by copying dramatic soap opera shows. man that was a bad idea
>>
>>1937741
the other option is to develop a skillset that lends itself to remote work, earn in USD or BTC and spend in pesos.
>>
>>1937839
in your experience does this apply generally to SE Asia or are the phils more tiresome/interpersonal friction relative to say thailand?
>>
>>1937283
>>1937872

I'm in the same boat, ethnically filipino. I visited a few times, and the last time I went to go-go bars. Realized they're more into foreigners in those bars despite me having the $$$. I just want a girl around my arm while i go to palawan and boracay. Any tips? I've been to more foreigner friendly locations like Burgos. Last time, i just said fuck it and just spoke english, didn't even attempt to communicate in tagolog, though I can understand due to home upbringing.
>>
>>1935957
>>Can I live in the PHILIPPINES for 400 dollars a month?
Yes, but not with AC or a refrigerator.

What if I became an English teacher? Surely I'm qualified considering my first language is English and I'm also (I mean, for the most part) fluent in Tagalog. How's the pay for that?
>>
>>1938166
absolute trash lmao. look, your pay will simply not even come close to pay in the states. It's ok if you decide to take the job anyway but don't delude yourself into thinking the pay will be anywhere near comparable

fil-am bros i'm scared if i can make this trip or not by June

>be dual citizen of US and PH
>have expired PH passport
>nearest embassy not taking appointments
>only have unexpired US passport
>traveling with family member who do have unexpired PH passports though

right now the only updates on the US embassy website has been:

>Entry and Exit Requirements:
>Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter? Yes, in limited circumstances pursuant to the travel ban and outlined below:
>The following may be allowed entry privileges to the Philippines under the Republic Act No. 6768:
>Filipino citizens’ foreign spouses and children, regardless of age, who are traveling with the Filipino citizen;
>Former Filipino citizens, including their spouses and children, regardless of age, who are traveling with the Filipino citizen.
>The entry of these persons is at the discretion of the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and shall be subject to the following conditions:
>They are allowed visa-free entry under Executive Order No. 408, s. 1960;
>With a pre-booked quarantine facility;
>With pre-booked COVID-19 testing at a laboratory operating at the airport; and,
>Subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry.

i don't understand what above exactly means, but think they will let me through if i just bring my expired PH passport, unexpired US passport, cert of dual citizenship, and ticket? i'm unironically losing sleep over this since i was the only one who didn't get my PH passport renewed out of laziness

Imagine meeting a flip chick, telling her you are fil-am, but that you came back to the philippines to live there, instead of staying in the usa.

Just imagine the horror. lol
>>
>>1938166
You'd be paid like a local teacher, since millions of Filipinos know at least enough English to teach it to children. But if your accent is perfect, which it must be, then you might do well in a job that requires interaction with foreigners.

Returnees are well-received in Asia. They both have more prestige than the locals, while at the same time paying them a compliment by preferring to live there. You could run with a higher (relative) social class than you do in the states.

Filam here. I did just that. I worked for an fishing company here and saved my money then got into crypto. I live like a boss over here in a way I wouldn't be able to pull off in America. They respect it because I'm basically ballin over here and they see that.

Not gonna lie, first time i was there in Cebu City I got drugged and semi robbed

I took a walk from my hotel down to Mango square (the hooker street). About 3 beers in I was walking down the street when I was approached by a lady boy. She asked to go home with me and I laughed in her face. She didn't like that and started following me down the street screaming "YOU NO PAY MEEEEE"

I dipped into a disco to lose her and started chatting it up with a group of girls and one blurts out "u wanna fuck me give me 15k (300 usd)". Laughed in her face and went to the bathroom with my drink on the table (mistake).

That was at 10pm , and I woke up the next day at 7pm in my room with no memory at all about how I got there. I had 200 dollars on me when I left but somehow I still had 120 on me plus my phone. I wanted to ask the front desk what happened but I was to embarrassed.
>>
>>1938306
I also got semi addicted to shabu when I was there. It was stupid as fuck doing that during the drug war but I cant lie I felt kinda like a badass smoking a death sentence. Nothing like riding around the city at night high as fuck on a Honda wave with a pocket full of money looking to turn a random girl into hooker.

I love the philippines. If you are white and under 50 and dress well, you can fuck a dozen women a month for free, and keep a harem of free pussy on demand. Barring the expense of drinks and maybe dinner/movie or something. I have impregnated three different women who asked me to give them a white baby, and didn't care that I was not going to take responsibility.

You can also get hookers for extremely cheap, and most of them you can bareback and creampie and they won't even bat an eyelash. I like to get a fresh 18 year old, eat her out until she is soaking wet, then lay her on my bed on her tummy and mount her from behind for a nice deep, grinding fuck. She doesn't even realize she's being barebacked until she feels a load of sperm being pumped into her belly. Filipinas are so dumb that you can just sweet talk them and they will come back for another round (to get bareback and creampied), even though they supposedly want to use a condom.

About 3 months into my own degenerate adventure I stopped giving a fuck about their feelings and straight up told the women I was fucking that I was going to try to knock them up, and that I was going to cum inside of them every time. To my surprise this made them even more eager and horny in bed, and pestered me to come over and fuck even more often. Even the hookers, who supposedly dont want a baby from a stranger.

It's an entire country full of women who apparently live for the experience of being colonized by white men. It's pretty great, but I have to leave soon. Knocked up 5 women total in 1 year of being here. 3 on purpose like I said, 2 by 'accident' (but really on purpose).

Philippinos are hilariously teaching English in China at the moment. Most can't even string a single sentence together that is somewhat understood. I don't think teaching English in a country that supposedly knows English will be profitable but it's worth checking out.

That's not been my experience.
When I visited PH I was surprised at how good they were at English and how little of a language barrier there was. I would say barring India they are the best Asian English speaking country (Indians might be better but I just can't stand their accent).

Especially when you date some of the higher educated girls they can be flawless in English
>>
>>1938934
Those aren't the ones teaching English in China. Ive experienced it first hand. I work as a school consultant and filter out the bad teachers to keep the standards high at schools that want to keep a good reputation. I basically weed out all the actual non-native speakers. Some are good enough but most aren't.

Do Americans need a visa to go to the Philippines or not? I've heard conflicting reports.
>>
>>1939506
Well we were trying for a while, but with the holidays it was impossible since you can only book within the next 30 days. My wife's passport expired in December, so we were trying to renew it before in case anything happened and she had to travel back home.

We were checking the DC and NYC sites the other week and there were a few in NYC and one single time slot in DC. Living in FL, we took the DC slot. I can't speak to the turnaround time. Based on the DC site having the latest front page updates of 2016 or 2015...I wouldn't get my hopes up.

>>1939524
They don't, I've been there about five times. Last time they stamped my passport (US) good for a year because my wife was from there.
>>
>>1939524
But Filipinos need a visa to visit the US, and it isn't easy! When my wife was still my girlfriend, we applied for one twice to visit my family for Christmas and it was denied both times. The first time they said there wasn't enough evidence of ties to her home country (Ie. risk of trying to stay in the US illegally), second time was basically the same shit. I work for the DOD also, and they knew that and still denied it both times. None refundable fees as well...so we went to Europe for the holidays with no problem.
>>
FC is wonderful.
>>
>>1939632
very nice. How much does it cost?
>>
>>1939529
I can attest to this, I tried to get a girl over to the Netherlands after I visited the FP so she could come and visit for a while.

I called immigration services and they gave me a list with everything we needed and we followed it to the letter. Still the visa application got denied on all accounts. And mind you, she had a very well paying job as a manager at an international company, so it wasn't like I was trying to get someone over here who would be financially dependent on me.

It was very sad, but on the other hand I can also kind of understand the process is so difficult because as I understand it many FP's just come here on a tourist visa and then stay without returning. As a result they need visa's everywhere and the process to get one is very difficult.

It can be very frustrating when your intentions are actualy genuine and you're trying to do everything according to the rules.

It's very easy, I gotten a few filipinas USA visas before covid. The biggest denial is false declaration/papers, it's common in PH to not have accurate papers/use fixers, you can't do that at the embassy.

You get a proper NSO birth certificate, you get NBI clearance, you make an appointment (don't buy an appointment) at the US embassy, bring your own pen and the proper DS form done and the interview is simply why do you want a tourist visa.

They provide bank statement with 250k+ pesos and that's it.

Visa is $160 USD, in Malate.

Now, of course, your hookers probably don't even have a birth certificate or a passport, and yeah.

Seriously though, I really wanna go and inseminate cuties, how easy is it to fuck them on the first date if you're a tall, decent looking, young white guy ? I've gotten a fuck ton of matches on tinder when changing locations but are things different when you're actually there?
>>
A lot of pedophiles in this thread.
>>
>>1940659
Why do you say that?
>>
>>1940490
Impossible, you need to meet their families and be the one sticking out in the country. Any filipina you meet that's down to fuck is probably a scammer, robber or has kids and already has a ruined background.
>>
>>1940490
Very possible. Just tell them upfront about what you want. Most, if not all, won't even hesitate to accept. Do an inspection to make sure you don't see any herpes or warts (and you yourself don't shave) for the best protection against it. Then put their heels over your shoulders and its a one way ticket to plow town buddy.

I wouldn't go to the Philippines until covid is gone but when that happens...

I've stayed in both Manila and the "beach resort town" of El Nido, Palawan.

Do not go to El Nido or any other famous beach resort. They are tourist traps filled with people whose only purpose in life is to overcharge you.

Manila is an absolutely massive city and if you're willing to explore it, it has great historical monuments (I recommend the Rizal Shrine for all history buffs), the Old Town, and many other things.

(Almost) everything is dirt cheap there. Don't bother with the ramshackle public transport. Just download Lift (their Uber) and get driven anywhere for $1 or $2 a trip.

The people are wonderful (when they're not trying to rip you off) and the historical sites are amazing.

The quality of the food is very bad, unfortunately. I went to a Papa John's and it was leagues better than their local restaurants. Franchise restaurants seem to be a safe bet there, but do try everything.
>>
>>1940785
He's literally talking about impregnating them you troglodyte, so why are you talking about the pill. I can tell you right now, many of the women there will not be on the pill as most asian women don't want to do that because of the effect of hormones.

>rawdogging strangers

>>
>>1940821
Actualy they don't use lift, they use grab.

And while it is cheap, it definately doesn't cost 1 or 2 dollar a trip to get anywhere.

Just your trip alone from the airport to makati will be like 7-8 bucks already. Maybe you went there 10 years ago or something.

Also whatever you do, if you have to be somewhere in time DON'T travel during rushhour. Manilla is famous for having some of the wost traffic congestions in the world and I almost missed my flight back home because of it.

So much this. I'm an expat in not-totally-shithole Asia and every time I run into some twenty-ish white chick who's probably here to teach ESL, she glares at me like I'm some sort of demon.

Depends on your definition of fun. Cebu is basically a mini manila, it's a filthy congested shit hole just smaller. Less foreigners which can be a plus of minus depending on how you look at it. It's the best city to branch out of and explore the whole country because it's centrally located and easy to get out of via plane our ferry, much easier then the hell that is metro Manila. Cebu is probably boring if you want to go clubbing all the time and act like a big city fake baller.

So my wife is a filipina and I'm a lil worried about whats going on america, to the point where we're considering moving to the philippines.

I'm from America, and we're torn between Davao or Manila. She says davao is safer and better than Manila(shes from the davao del norte area) but Manila seems to be more americanized.
>>1941237
Yeah, I notice a lot of people in this general acts like that.

From what I noticed the opposite is true. When I left the philippines last time I was talking to some guy who needs a cane in the airport, and he said he was leaving because the girl he went to meet didn't have to have sex with him. I then proceeded to mention my experience and he got visibly uncomfortable.

From what I can tell, Filipinas are kind, loving, but not easy. At least the ones in the area surrounding Davao. Super conservative.
>>
>>1941310
>Women didn't want to have sex with decrepit old man

The culture in Mindanao is conservative and they still slutshame, but they're still filipinas. They have to act a certain way until they are sitting next to you in your apartment.

>From what I can tell, Filipinas are kind, loving, but not easy. At least the ones in the area surrounding Davao. Super conservative.
Dude, maybe the ones you've met who knew that you are married and aren't going to dump your wife to fuck them are "super conservative", but there are millions who would let Magic Johnson's AIDS-infected BBC fuck their pristine little assholes if it meant they might have a chance to escape their impoverished island paradise.

I'm not even there, not even looking for a Filipina, but I get random messages on dating sites from Filipinas wanting my pasty old white ass just because I'm in Asia and I'm an American.

Neither will we.

Can confirm. Detroit is basically Mordor, and LA is what the entire country is going to look like if we keep letting the brown tide in.
>>
>>1941361
>Philippines wont get nuked was my train of thought.
Nobody's going to nuke the U.S. either. Cumholea and Bye,Then are simply going to let China do whatever Xi wants to do in the rest of the world. Including, BTW, in the Philippines, which is rapidly becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy and China Inc.

>Also the worst part of philippines is better than detroit or LA.
The great thing about Detroit or LA is that you can drive, bicycle, walk, or even drag yourself by your tongue to someplace that isn't a complete shithole. 50 miles in any direction from Detroit is nice white suburbs. LA, admittedly, is four hours to escape the California border into Nevada.

Philippines? Better hope they're letting boats and planes depart.

>>1941369
>Could you imagine how much better the USA would be if it went Duterte on every crackhead and heroin junkie?
You're not wrong, exactly, but the problem in the Philippines is that they were killing anyone they wanted to and just sprinkling some meth on them afterwards to make it all "justified".

The dude who is thinking of moving there should pay attention to that, since it would be an easy way for his wife to inherit everything from him if she wants. Just like thousands of Thai women have done with their Flying Farang Club husbands.
>>
>>1941369
lol it is a bad thing, anon anyone can plant you shabu, and when you can't pay, you get shot. It's pretty common already.

For the abortion ones, isn't it good to let the women abort, fuck you can order mifeprestone pills on the internet, and they're free. Up to 16 weeks you're good to go.

And it's the same in the PH too, ti's called economic abuse, and once the lawyers/court in PH know that you're a foreigner, they'll work for "free" because they know there's blood.

"Republic Act 9262: Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004"

Yeah, anon, that shit about the hague convention works to an extent, but the PH did sign it, and there are enough NGO firms in PH/USA that will just help an indigient women in the PH sue an American because it strokes their beard, so you can be liabile for international child support.

AS For locally, in PH - you can be immediately black listed and deported. While most of the time the cases go nowhere, because it's filipino vs filipino, once it's filipino vs foreigner, you do risk your "social" good standing with BI/immigration and to the point where you can be accused of adultery/domestic abuse/child abuse/economic abuse easily.

And you don't know the social fineesee required to work around it anon, so your little paradise int he PH wil be forever gone.

>If myself, and some other anons bareback Filipina cuties who desperately want to be single moms to half-white babies, everyone loses their minds.

They want a half white baby because they expect you to step up, be a decent human being and take care of it, so the kid will have a better future than they had. Sadly you're just a sad individual with no real morals and values. Deep inside you know this, but you choose to ignore it so you can go ahead with your degenerate behaviour.

>"Projecting much?"
You're literally talking about barebacking flip girls, but have this magical idea that you will be their first farang. If they bareback you, the chances are high they barebacked alot of others too and yes the chances are high you're gonna get warts on your dick.

You don't seem to care because your IQ is obviously troglodyte tier.

Okay. Can you lay out how (or why) a slum girl who can't afford bottled water hires a lawyer to sue her former boyfriend?

Does she do it with social finesse? I know you don't put ketchup on your steak, anon, but it's not as if your special ability is common, or capable of parting the red sea.
>>
>>1941960
>Okay. Can you lay out how (or why) a slum girl who can't afford bottled water hires a lawyer to sue her former boyfriend?
OK, let's get one thing straight off the top, I'm not the same poster you replied to whom you were asking to justify his post.

She doesn't have to pay them. They work pro bono. There are PILFs all over the U.S. that do this sort of thing, free, as a public service to indigent clients. The PILFs are funded by a combination of donations from large law firms, interest payments from lawyers' client fee trust accounts, endowments, and in-kind time donations from smaller firms which many state bar associations require of their members.

Law schools also run "legal aid clinic" programs that do things like this, in order to give their students practical real-world experience. I don't know of one that does this specifically, but child support lawsuits are pretty common. One of the ones I did during clinic was that, except I was defending some accident victim from an ex-girlfriend who was trying to defraud him out of his settlement money by claiming he (Mexican) was the father of her (curiously not-Mexican-looking) baby.
>>
>>1941985
I don't doubt what you say, but I don't think this is a likely scenario in the Philippines. Something that litigious middle class people often don't understand is that poor people are unaware they have rights, or don't act on the rights they think they have. If they behaved like high ranking people, they'd become social outcasts. I'm not even talking about third world poor people, here.

That's leaving aside that, in this scenario, they'd have very hazy ideas about whether or not it was a crime to have gotten pregnant out of wedlock, or whose crime it was for that to have happened.

Moreover, man-slavery, wherein a man foots every bill a woman has for the rest of her life if he stands in her proximity for more than ten minutes, is not a well-established idea in the Philippines. Single motherhood with the support of the extended family is.
>>
>>1942018
the fact remains that if you knowingly get them pregnant and then leave you are a worthless piece of shit and should kys
