Honest oopsie on the other, me and this op posted within seconds of each other. OP here was quicker on the draw so I took mine down. Just got my Motormaster in today, hoping it isn't yellowed
Well that's tragic as at least one of the generals was sharing recent finds. I'd encourage them to re dump here or keep it going

>>9960973Going by the type of plastic, you'll need to check some tutorials on painting unpaintable plastic. There's a few methods but most are pretty dangerous or require some experience with paint methods.
>>9960931(ask your parents for permission first before going on) Transformers.com
>>9960973Another anon in an earlier thread attempted a mini-retrobrighting using hydrogen peroxide gel and it looked like it helped. It's a technique that is more often relegated to yellowing console and computer plastic but it's worth a shot.
>>9960983Those methods can help, but it's better to outright paint it than using methods to restore the color, since it's likely these figures will go back to being yellow in a short amount of time and those process can accelerate the degradation of the plastic.

Getting the back half of the cab to stay together while getting everything else lined up is a minor nightmare for me. Maybe that's just a problem on my end, though. I know the DotM SS Optimus shares a lot of the same beats but has a somewhat different transformation, so it might be better (or worse). They're so close to being the same I was content to stick with the first one. I like the darker gun metal coloring more anyway, not that >>9960860 is anything close to bad. I think they're all pretty good.
>>9960993Yep, it's not a terrible idea to try it with an old item that took a decade or so to yellow, but these toys are yellowing so fast that I wouldn't recommend it, otherwise they might start crumbling in a few years.

>>9960849Got my boy and no yellowing but Jesus Christ this was the most harrowing transformation I've had with a recent transformer, so much so that if he does yellow I've made my peace with it it was God's plan for him. There was no gentle touch with this thing multiple times I had to pull real hard I thought I was going snap something and some of the sounds from snapping into place we're visceral on this thing. I was going to see how finished Menasor looked and just transform him back to Motormaster but I would honestly rather drop another 90 to have one displayed in robot/vehicle mode than try to take Menasor apart. Apart from that though? I'm completely in love with him and I can't wait to grab the other Stunticons
>no swapable hands>no swapable faces>fuckall general assosoriesat the very least do it for voyagers and up with the price hikes, im getting sick of mainlines bullshit. im honestly not sure if im goign to keep collecting after i complete menasor unless shit changes.

>>9961047>Apart from that though? This is some real "how was the play Mrs. Lincoln" after that description. A Transformers toy that feels that bad to handle is just a bad toy to me. Assassinates all the fun.
>>9961063I mean, isn't there a listing for a new Shadow Striker in the Velocitron line? Side Burn to go with this Prowl?
>>9961063That would be pretty sweet since the original figure is a time bomb of clear plastic.

>>9961004So just more of the same cast. Again. AGAIN again.I haven't bought a single Hasbro transformer in the last two years, because I already have 3P and MPs, the best representations of all the cast already. Why do I need a cheapo kiddie deluxe of anyone I already have?
>>9961082Why complain about not needing to spend money?
>>9961079but won't pretend it isn't fucking bizarre how they've been handling the PretendersSame, you'd assume they'd try keeping them in relative scale to their appearances in fiction or toys, but then Bomburst is apparently a core while Skullgrin isn't? Why? The one show that had them show up frequently had them around the same size and I believe the same was for their toys.

>>9961058SS Bumblebee Bumblebee had some of it, but the toy kinda sucks.
>>9961063Well of the Autobot brothers he has the "splashable" design, being symmetrical and having a popular kind of altmode to recolor. The worst case scenario would be Clampdown with blue legs and new head I think.
>>9961087I'm surprised he's a regular release like in T30, for some reason Japan had his MP be exclusive while doing a literal who repaint as a normal release (I know his original release was an online exclusive but that was for the OG toy).
>>9961063Pointblank retool?
>>9961096Oh fuck no.
>>9961095Crosscut just doesn't have the energy for an exclusive release to sell well.
>>9961082Yeah man, I'm so sick of all those Bludgeon and Bomb-burst toys Hasbro keeps making. And don't get me started on all the Nemesis Leos still clogging the shelves.
>>9961086I don't think there is a particular plan so much as different people doing different designs.
>>9961101They have actually made a few Bludgeons, just not the G1 version.
>>9961086wouldn't it be weird to make them all the same size? these are new versions of them who aren't pretenders, just weird monstrous transformers..
>>9961106The G1 version doesn't really look like it came from Transformers to begin with.
>>9961086Skullgrin deluxe, Iguanus and Bomburst core, Bludgeon voyager, it's all so weird. Bludgeon makes sense because I feel from all his appearances in media he's ascended past the other Pretenders but why so scattershot on the rest? Iguanus turns into a bike his buddies can ride except for Skullgrin who gets to leer over him and Bludgeon who gets to leer over Skullgrin. Better be leading to a proper size Thunderwing
>>9961108At least having Skullgrin be in scale with Bomburst is a given, Bludgeon can be voyager to scale with other faction leaders.
>>9961092yeah it looks okay but the torso proportions are outta whack.
>>9961112That entire pretender squad felt like it come from a He-Man spin off. Here's Skeletor, Macho Man, and Octo-Fisto.

>>9961134Reptyres
>>9961134Bludgeon being a transforming tank has been done before, both in toys and fiction so that wouldn't be hard to imagine, but I do want to see how they'd handle Stranglehold.

>>9961063If it were anything other than G1 Prowl, wouldn't the listing say Beast/RID/Animated Prowl?
>>9961059All reissues have pr (package refresh) in the listing.
>>9961151Full inner robot with a simultaneous G.I Joe Classified release of the pretender shell.
>>9961145oh I like that. and here in freedomland we would spell it reptires, which is less confusing to the eye.
>>9961085Because I want new figures and new characters, not another Seeker, Junkion, Dinobot, Insecticon, Pretender, Combiner, or other reheated G1 leftovers. At least some of the weird Chinese 3P are giving us cool new original designs for transforming robots.
>>9961136Damn, I normally don't like the bayverse stuff but he looks good.
>>9961160As someone just getting into the hobby again, WFC has been a godsend for getting these guys.I think you should just take a break from mainline and delve more into 3P stuff
>>9961063When I was a kid I kind of hated the RID carbots (I had Side Burn and loathed it) but I wouldn't mind them being revisited to a modest degree. I think the movie toys iterated and improved on some of that stuff. Any new takes would have less/worse paint, but I think they could make better toys overall.
>>9961160There is a chance Junkion is a new design if they are not giving a name.

>>9961191They can be kibble panel-ridden messes. X-Brawn looks like a standard carbot was chewed up by Unicron and spat out. I don't know if I'd feel the same way now or not, but I just found them annoying to transform and play with more than anything. As far as the vehicle modes and details go they were obviously great.I remember watching Armada, but by that point I had grown out of toys. I didn't get back into Transformers toys until Generations in 2009. But the Super Cario Bros. weren't even all that indicative of the total RID line. They always stood out.
OK I know they were going for a whole thing, but that new Skullgrin is shit compared to generations in both modes.
>>9961228
>>9961232It should have just been the inner robot if they weren't going to do him right.
>>9961229>. X-Brawn looks like a standard carbotHere's the thing; in 2001 I had no frame of reference for a standard carbot except old pictures of G1 and G2 stuff before my time. I did know of the BM Dinobots, which were BW Neo imports, and the TM2s which were full of kibble; so the Car Bros looked just like them, just cars. >But the Super Cario Bros. weren't even all that indicative of the total RID line. They always stood out.Because most of the line was repaints. Visually they still feel like they match with the new sculpts; most notably because they all do the BW thing of having robot mode heads that are influenced by their alt-mode.
>>9961240>>9961232They had their shot
>>9961211what would they be a code for though? the energon monster listing was at least vague as hell. these are very likley to be junkions of SOME sort
>>9961244Beast Cars was a distinct mood. Even the Vehicons were not like that.
>>9961206The biggest sin to me is that 2007-2012 era Hasbro wasn't allowed to handle their own designs for a cartoon but used outside artists instead. Like fucking imagine how awesome a show would've been if it used designs like the 2010 line instead of trying to adapt Animated and PRime's style.
>>9961174I mean to be fair that figure was unacceptably garbage.
>>9961258I love the Wreckage mold
>>9961258>>9961264It's truly based.
>>9961254>Even the Vehicons were not like that. The Car robots were being designed hot off Transmetal IIs and Neo, they make sense in that regard. Not even the Beast Machines Maximals felt like Beast Wars designs.
>>9961206Man I regret not getting the Strafe repaint when it was like $13 at Ross. Now it's $50 on fleabay.
Transformers Reveal the Shield WindchargerThe big chase figure of 2010. Akin to TR Slugslinger or Misfire in his time.Everyone had to fill that spot in their '84 cast collection. As a toy he's okay.Windcharger turns into some sort of muscle car. You probably saw him in the background of one of the fast and/or Furious movies. He does look good though, you can't go wrong with red and black.Windcharger performs his toy car duties well. His wheels roll super smoothly and barely take any force at all to get moving. Much better than Universe Prowl.>>9961264I still need a version of that mold
>>9961273Windcharger was the SHIT.>pinned wheels>hand/gun gimmick>ball jointed limbs>scout classWhy can't they make toys like that now?
>>9961242>>9961206RotF/HFTD was such a cool, brief moment. I wish I'd paid more attention then. A lot of the scouts and deluxes in particular are awesome. But I think the toys did a good job with the movie designs, too. DotM Starscream/Thundercracker is a fantastic toy and it's all the better for simplifying the surface detail. I'd go so far as to say it's one of my favorites, though I never got the Studio Series one which was essentially an upscale. I was holding out for a redeco that never happened. Whoops.
you know what, know that I've handled him, I want more combiners like him. I'm over the whole "body is separate from the bots" thing. I'll be fine if the body/shell transformed into something like a base form and something else. What would the bodies transform into though?
>>9961089I have the OG but I would absolutely buy a commander class fire convoy
>>9961292 fire station / military base?
>>9961292has anyone made 3D printable filler parts for this guy yet?like just cars which you can split apart and put on the arms and legs
>>9961292You could probably do something similar with Onslaught and Hot Spot, but you'd be screwed with Silverbolt since you can't alter his transformation in a way that makes sense with taht type of gimmick since you'd essentially have to take a chunk of his alt mode off to do it. Meanwhile, you can treat Hot Spot similar to Fire Convoy, while the trailer bits for Onsluaght can be change into limb parts.
>>9961299I kind of want someone to do that, but with like a whole figure that exists just to fill in the slots for the arms and legs.
>>9961273>>9961278I remember everyone went nuts over this figure. I thought it just looked ok, and I guess I made the right call, because even years later, I still feel nothing but ambivalence toward it. I'm sure it's a great toy, it just doesn't do much for me. The sculpt just isn't there for me.QUALITY wise though, yes, I would love to see a return to super high quality Scouts, like the golden era during ROTF/HFTD. It was immensely cool to get this compact little figure that was incredibly articulated and turned into essentially a durable little brick. Perfect pocket figures.Oh, and Wreckage is kinda limited pose-wise (plus mine was really loosey goosey), but god, what a cool sculpt. Would recommend just because he looks awesome. Look at this ridiculous dual blade forearm configuration, it's so cool!
>>9961299Someone made a trailer extender piece, bigger weapons and parts that hold the legs closed without the limb bots.
nitro convoy? more like SEXO CONVOY!!!! SEXO DE OVERRIDE!!!!
>>9961300What would be wrong with Silverbolt forming his usual torso, and you just stick on arms/legs made from a trailer?
>>9961308Very off model.
>>9961273Windcharger is about as basic of a carbot as you could ask for.Rear of the car flips out for legs, sides pull out for arms, hood flips down for chest.Alongside the vehicle mode's red, all of Windcharger's newly exposed robo parts come in grey. And dark grey for his helmet and forearms.I'm a bit sad that the Reveal The Shield™ shield was applied crooked.>>9961304He really is only okay
>>9961247Still looks better than the Legacy.
>>9961315your fucking face is off model faggot
>>9961321that was mean actually sorry
>>9961320Well it doesn't need to turn into a vehicle, just open up.
>>9961304I think we got some good Legends scale stuff over the course of Prime Wars (I even like POTP Windcharger) but yeah, the ROTF/HFTD scouts were next level. More interesting than most Transformers before or since. I can't bring myself to pay after market prices though.I love a lot of what we got out of the WFC trilogy, but Transformers was such a more wild and inventive world between 2006 and 2012 (including the first toys named War for Cybertron). I think all the movie shitflinging clouded how cool a lot of that stuff was.
>>9961314Because you'd still have standalone vehicles for both the other figures, you can't really do that with Silverbolt in a pleasing way since:-You'd have to figure out a redesign of his transformation to both accommodate the robot below the jet and all the parts. Without those parts, Silverbolt doesn't have an alt mode.-You could add extra parts to the alt mode, but him being a jet means he'd essentially have a realistic alt mode mixed in with a booster accessory similar to Star Saber, which would be cool but feel off compared to the other combiners.-Strap all those parts without a care, but then he'd be even lazier than a number of third party Superions
>>9961292Make a new RID Optimus, then remold and retool it into Hot Spot and his super mode into a combiner frame.
>>9961304EIGHT PINNED WHEELSThe absolute luxury
>>9961338>Make a new RID OptimusThe original is so good that I don't even want them to try. Shit, they couldn't even release the encore right, a new one would be as bad as the new Laser Optimus.
>>9961318Windchargers hand flip around to deploy little guns. The guns have little 3mm clips on them, as was the style at the time. For articulation Windcharger is ricking the ball jointed shoulders, elbows, hips, ankles and neck. And some hinges for the elbows. So he's no slouch for posing. I'm probably the one letting *him* down here.Live like a Windcharger as you fuck
>>9961344Does he have ankle tilts?
>>9961336Leftover bits turn into a launch pad or something.
>>9961273I thought you had quit, glad not.
>>9961330>I think all the movie shitflinging clouded how cool a lot of that stuff was. Those of us here definitely found the non movie stuff cool; guys like Thew really helped. What really buried it is all the hype around getting the G1 lineup completed and Thrilling 30 in 2013 onward;ultimately characters/visuals tied to nostalgia overtake everything else.
>>9961244There's definitely a lot of continuity there, just like you can feel some continuity between UT and the first movie line.>>9961318Still a cool looking toy. Well above average overall, I'd say. I like the POTP one, but I get that a lot of people don't. For most people this is as as good as Windcharger's gotten or likely to get.
>>9961344They aren't guns they're magnets.
>>9961220>Review guy's probably around, unsure if more reviewsI will draw him a picture if he comes backokay I've edited my toy-dinobot repaint plans a bit, i THINK this would actually be pretty good. the blue face still kinda sticks out but it's just so nicelooking I can't bear to change it. and if i did, it would be... what, maybe just yellow-sharpie-ing on top of it to make it an equally-nice metallic green? and i've tried adding other blue elements to balance it, it just doesn't look quite right. man beast wars had a lot of design decisions you flat-out would not get anymore. nobody would make a pink velociraptor with clear orange shins and a randomly blue robot face.
>>9961348He do>>9961350I didn't say that>>9961355I said he's only okay but, I mean, he's very good at being a perfectly average guy. It's hard to articulate>>9961356Maybe on your sissy shelf. Around here we solve problem with violence!
>>9961362>Around here we solve problem with violence!Did I suggest otherwise?
>>9961299isnt that just what the regular figures do though? stay in car mode and split in half?>>9961292I feel like a tank could totally unfold into spindly/flat hollow limbs, the thick body gives you lots of good attachment points. you could even like, trail the treads down the back of the arms to provide sorta unity.
>>9961351I remember. I was here too. But even here I don't think people really gave it all the credit it deserved. Generations soaked up a lot of the attention (and there was great stuff happening there too, as I said). Between Studio Series and the WFC trilogy I think 2018 to 2021 was also a very potent period, but it just doesn't have the same creative shimmer.
>BLUDGEON!>Bombburst>RamjetFuck, year 2 is gonna be good. But who's 'Skar'?
>>9961369Either a no-name dinobot or one of Doubledealer's belly pals
>>9961318cool forearm cannons, I love those.>>9961344oh what, they are actually the scopes for bigger cannons! that's even cooler.>>9961362I got the FEELING that wasn't you. but couldn't be sure
>>9961371Hmmm...well, maybe this might lead to a new Ratbat.
>>9961351>All thew does is open boxes of free shit people give himLiterally why do people do this it's like watching nerds offer things to a nerd king even people skimping on Twitch is less weird cause I can understand being blinded by pussy. Not to mention occasionally bad jokes that give away is ideological political crap.
>>9961365Man, glad the main Starscreams got cool deaths they got better from instead of being squished by Windcharger.
>>9961382When you think of it though, Windchargers Magnetic abilities have been very underused in a offensive capacity for a war against metallic beings.
>>9961365This, Windcharger is basically Magneto in a Universe where most of his enemies are fucking robots, the guy should be death incarnate to most Decepticons and the one thing the new IDW did right was treat him like the monster he is.
>>9961244I found Car Bros. Concept art recently. I think the guys who designed Transmetal 2s must have made them because damn look at this detail.
>>9961388>and the one thing the new IDW did right was treat him like the monster he is.Shit I need to have a look at that then.
>>9961390The proportions look better to me too. I kinda wish we got updates but I wonder if they could do them justice now.
>>9961390There was some cross referencing during that era, you can see how the BWII Cyberbeasts and Galvatron lead to Transmetal II's, while Optimus Minor was a nod to Leo Jr.
>>9961395
>>9961397Fire Convoy was almost a Maximal early on and it was going to be set in the same continuity as the BW cartoons. I'm glad we got some new Predacons at least.
>>9961365Windcharger is fucking brutal.
>>9961004>More pretendersRhino boi for the next batch pls
>>9961388So what kind of metal are Transformers made of? Maybe magnets won't do shit.
>>9961409And Bugly. I need to finish my Chaos Trinity dammit.
>>9961379i've enjoyed videos like that in the past, but it gets old. Jorby at least gets sent a lot of fun drawings and shit. I think it's just the surprise of it, the way you still get a thrill from buying a new product after the 900th one.>>9961405that would have been better than transtech or whatever.
>>9961411When Windcharger's shown fighting other transformers, he's shown either making them explode with his Magnetic energies, or fucking them up badly enough that they'd need a full overhaul after he's done, which is good enough to take on pretty much everyone.
>>9961414Wouldnt all the car Transformers of that era be Maximals too though even though they weren't vehicles? I have no idea I'm going on old memories.
>>9961409i would be pretty happy to get a transformer with a cool pauldron and a moustache regardless>>9961417huh. though I guess you could say the same about anyone who can do a lot of energy blasting. i would have thought yknow, transformers are pretty heavy, maybe actually doing more than a solid shove would be too much for him, but he could snatch guns out of their hands or something..
>>9961417So windcharger could have just ripped Megatron apart and ended the war at the beginning
>>9961411Depends on continuety, and even then they might not give a shit and ignore things established prior. For the most part, they use rare living metals that have some regenerative properties, so you can't just fix them with whatever parts are laying around (unless they ignore it and they do).
>>9961422Pretty much. There's reason why he doesn't show up in fiction all that often.
>>9961420yeah that's implied, and the tie-in media shows it.plus the idea that transmetal forms have vehicle parts because of residual vehicular shit in their.. CNA or whatever transformers have. it might actually affect their spark, since Prime's spark did that shit to Primal.
>>9961428They just need to get a second magnet guy so whenever the first attacks the second pops in and they magnetically repulse each other
>>9961206To this day my favorite Movie figure comes from Wave fucking 1 of the 2007 line
>>9961405>Fire Convoy was almost a Maximal early on and it was going to be set in the same continuity as the BW cartoons. This is still what happened in Japan. Except I don't think Fire Convoy and his team were ever said to be maximals despite coming from the beast era.
>>9961436>might actually affect their spark, since Prime's spark did that shit to Primal.>>9961361>nobody would make a pink velociraptor with clear orange shins and a randomly blue robot face.I just suddenly remembered how crazy some of the colourschemes for Transformers were. Primal became orange blue and brown. I can't imagine an Optimus Prime colourscheme that crazy ever happening again.
>>9961441Japan didn't need to care, because the beast factions still had the same names, they were still Cybertrons and Destrons, the big departure was the Gigatron faction being called Destrongers.
>>9961300I was also thinking along the lines of Devastator as well. The Newage body/shell looks good but I want the body to transform into something else. Maybe the body transforms into some sort of collection of trailers or dumpster with wheels
>>9961439>every time they're on the battlefield together, they uncontrollably slam together>the massive discomfort and embarrassment convinces them to just stay off the front lines and stick to construction shit or fighting off outside threats
>>9961441>>9961446Car Robots was a complete split from the Beast Era after the last three Japanese Beast toylines bombed horribly. They wanted a clean break.
A strange choice for Soundwave, but I think this is a better alt mode than the half-assed shrugs that are SS Bumblebee Soundwave and Siege Soundwave. Not an amazing toy or anything but I've always liked how compact the vehicle is relative to the robot mode. It's a very satisfying transformation to me. I'm curious what they'll do for Soundwave in Rise of the Beasts. Even if he doesn't show up in the movie I bet he'll get another toy. I'd gladly take another car alt if it meant he transformed into *something.*
>>9961441eh well, they were too big to work as maximals so that lore doesn't work super well.>>9961443yeah optimal's color scheme was fucking garish. it's almost as if it was in homage to the recently deceased dinobot, but with some burgundy which was more new-dinobot.
>>9961461>eh well, they were too big to work as maximals so that lore doesn't work super well. The lore has it happening even further into the future of BW Neo so for all we know, they went back to larger bodies since energy issues are solved.
>Puny prime
>>9961471oh okay>futureyeah that's another thing, it was clearly near-future earth, not the 25th century or later, so
>>9961484The squad are time-travellers. It doesn't really matter in the show itself, but later stuff references it a lot.
>>9961484They came from that future, the Cybertrons were chasing the Destrongers who came to modern day Earth. I don't blame you for not knowing this because the show has like one line refencing something vaguely about it while this infor was in production blurbs and only really elaborated upon in newer tie in materialIrc, the events of the show are supposed to happen in a brief period between Battle of the Star Gate and Robotmasters (Transformers have a huge battle at the n of BOTSG and all end up apparently "disabled" at the end for a period of time), and this wasn't even established until several years after the show aired.
>>9961441I like how Japan sort of followed the US's lead with BW II-CR but did their own thing. So BW II is about two factions stranded on an alien world that's actually Earth, but its the future instead. Transmetals and a few 97 toys had third modes, so BW Neo is all about triple changers and the main villain is a fuzor. BW Season 3 really emphasizes they traveled through time, so CR is about time travellers recovering "O-parts", which are out of place artifacts; i.e. ones not chronologically fitting where they were found.
>>9961456>Car Robots was a complete split from the Beast EraNot really, the storyline didn't emphasize it but the design element is still there. BW Metals didn't do great but they were still planning on bringing over BM in theory when that accumulated 26 episodes; its just between that failing and Hasbro shifting gears for Armada that they decided not to. The Destrongers are still TM2 designs they wanted to get mileage out of and Gigatron is designed like a beast era design.
>>9961496If there's one thing I always found funny about RID, is that the kid character is barely a factor. He sometimes won't show up for several episodes, and when he's finally important, it turns out his ability is something that other human kids can do. Even his dad tells him to his face that he's not special, which seemed like a harsh thing to say to your kid, even if I get what he meant by it. Even funnier is that he's never referenced outside the show, other human characters make cameos (the girl that kept getting attacked is buds with Sunstreaker) and even special appearances in G1 material or alternate universes, even his fucking dad had a hand in development of the Trainbots, but he's perpetually stuck in the show.
>>9961513A shame they don't do that more often.
>>9961490>>9961496ohhhhhh okay. thanks for filling in my clueless ass.>>9961513yeah it'd be nice to have that message more often. that you dont have to be special to do something useful. world needs hufflepuffs too.
>Order Override from Pulse the moment she's announced>After multiple flip-flops, finally decide to order Road Rocket from them as well as of two days ago>get email today that RR just shipped>no word at all on Override despite her being ordered far earlier from the same siteWeird.>>9961004>Tra Gen Legacy EV Core GrimlockPerfect opportunity to give us his G2 Blue colors. They already did the same with Core Megatron, so they have no excuse. Actually, I'd like to see Snarl, Swoop, and the rest (ther's no way they're only doing 3 Core Dinobots) in their G2 colors as well. Give me the full lineup!
>>9961460The time period for Rise of the Beasts would be good for using a Nighthawk that doubles as a nod to Cybertron Sounwave.
>>9961525damn, I love these color schemes.I want these three to combine sentai-style. I could see grimlock's head folding into the new combined form's chest, and (hear me out here) slag and snarl both becoming a leg but also a forearm, with grimlock's legs being the upper shoulder part (with maybe his tail turning into some nice pauldrons). Sentai shit doesn't care about partsforming.
So hey, I was at Target today and saw a new BB pack. The Deluxe figures of Bee, Optimus and Cheetor in a 3 pack. That was weird.
>>9961525Huh. The G2 Dinobots also had them colorful, but different ones were picked for movie version.
>>9961533I'd take it. I still like this figure a lot overall. The SS one has a GOAT robot mode but I can't get over that alt mode. It's like they didn't even try.
>>9961558From the thumbnail I thought that was HftD Brimstone for a second
>>9961411CybertoniumCybertiteCyberniteDurabylliumTrithylliumDestroniumand of course Transformium
>>9961537From what I remember, I believe Hasbro wanted them more colorful at the last minute, but they couldn't change the colors for the film since they were too far along.

>>9961558I need that Soundwave for my group

>>9961574whoa, is that prime soundwave? he doesn't look super screen accurate but that's a fantastic attempt, and.. is he supposed to be that huge?
>>9961578Pretty much everything came together awesomely for these guys design wise, even if a few were kind of bad as toys.
>>9961578What's that golden god below that
>>9961578yes i love these guys even though they are each flawed in their own way.
>>9961574Nice set. Here’s mine.
>>9961599Fucking phone.
>>9961578Weirdly, Slash's official online bio stated that she was supposed to be female in this incarnation as well; for whatever reason, the dudes who came up with the box bio identified her as male instead, so when they made her POtP version, they recycled the older bio to make the author intent known.
>>9961605so close to being a good toy..
>>9961574I recommend it, though I don't know what it goes for now. There's also the FoC voyager but I'm not sure how different they are. I loved most of the WFC/FoC designs. I wish I still had my WFC Optimus. It's a bit more awkward than Soundwave or Bumblebee etc. but I don't think we've ever gotten a cooler Optimus design. Great alt mode on it, too.
>>9961605I would say that explains the heels, but it isn't exclusive to Slash.
>>9961604haha point and laugh at Boco>>9961594
>>9961591He's not too big, just a lanky boy.>>9961599Hell yeah, anon. The Bumblebee one is next on my list.>>9961610WFC the game, right? It's a really great Optimus. I'll have to see if I can get the Soundwave. He doesn't go for too much.
>>9961615>Goldran out of all thingsI love you
>>9961615my god that is some complex partsforming, as well as what looks like magical transformation at one point.yet it's so cool I don't care.>>9961618oh so those other soundwaves are smaller than I thought.
>>9961625I like to collect small things so I have a few tiny transformers. I wish the old transforming tiny transformers were still a thing
>>9961605She was going to be in the movie originally, too. There was going to be a whole pack of her, with the 'main' one being paired with Hound (who is the only main character who didn't get a Dinobot partner in the finished film). I'm, like, 99% certain Hound was going to drop a 'Clever Girl' joke at some point as well.
>>9961621Heh, Kreon anon saved a webm I made
>>9961618>WFC the game, right?Yep.>It's a really great OptimusThat it is. I didn't sell it or anything; I just don't know where the fuck it went. Might've gotten lost somehow in a move. Tragic loss. As cool as it is I don't think I want to throw $50+ or whatever on another one. Though maybe I should, since I doubt Hasbro will ever revisit these designs.
>>9961440Remember when people were so desperate to pretend the alien jet made of knives wasn't Megatron that they made up a fake rumor that Wreckage was the actual Movie Megatron design but under a codename to prevent spoilers?
>>9961631I wish the Tiny Titans line was more widespread. At least Core Class is a nice replacement.
>>9961635Ack, I've been found out on both accounts.. I love Goldran lots!>Chogokin J-Decker is comfily posing on occasion, a bit scared to play with him too much>looking around for mainline toys to be Brave or at least MazingerKup can do rocket punch but not much else.. tried re-opening Sixgun to see if it could be fun with Kup, but to no avail.
>>9961639Can you blame them? Megatron had the absolute worst design next to Skids and Mudflap. I always liked DotM Megatron's design, though none of the figures ever quite nailed it for my tastes.
>>9961641No, wait, Tiny Turbo Changers. The Tiny Titans sucked.
>>9961644i fucking loved movie megatron's first design, I think it was his best. or maybe second best after TLK.it looked like spike spiegel's Swordfish, really properly alien. and his robot mode had cool grabby hands.
>>9961648I got a few Tiny Turbo Changers.Just from the last series or two of Cyberverse when I found out they existed
>>9961659oh that's adorable.
>>9961659They are (were?) great. But the distribution around here for them sucked balls.
>>9961641I wish they wouldn't abandon and refine the micromasters. I really liked them. I have a whole pile of them and they're great.
>>9960823I really wonder how many oldfags are still here.
>>9961677Was here before there were Transformers generals and I had to wait a few days for a thread to come up again

>>9961206You are not wrong.
>>9961753god those mech gimmick weapons marred so many great toyssword my ass
>>9961735My issue with the AoE/TLK designs was how little they even resembled transforming robots. Optimus doesn't look like he transforms into anything, much less a truck specifically. TLK Megatron is one of the better designs, I guess. Did TLK even have any decent action in it?
>>9961726>>9961681>>9961729So I left for a while so Im not sure about unicron crotch. But I was here in the beginning. Back when some fag named Setsuna was a mod on the /toy/ irc.Back when Sean Long and Peaugh were spending thousands of dollars to see who get transformers animated toys the earliest from the chinese theives.I believe a bidding war happened and Sean ended up spending something like $6000 on... I want to say blackout but it might have been an earlier figure.Back when Peaugh bribed Sinno Prime with an original drawing of Ultramagnus from a TF comic artist to basically spy and mass flag a few youtube reviewer accounts to get the leg up on transformers reviews.Back when Jin Saotome was just starting to be a fag here, and then banged Sinno, pics and all. I really cant remember Sinnos boyfriend name. But he allowed it to happen.Back when chugs were $7.77 at walmart and they made so many walmart exclusive Masterpiece Skywarps that they went on clearance for $16Back when a anon hasbro toy designer leaked the mold for Power Core Combiners Huffer before anyone even knew PCC was a thing..I dont think /toy/ is even remotely that tight knit anymore.. Do any of you even know what an IRC is?Fuck... lol I'm old as piss./toy/ had a chat room for a while as well. Again, cant remember what it was called, but it was chat and video at the same time.
>>9961757oh totally, that bugged me too. everyone was too slimmed down. even 'galvatron' wasn't that bad and he flat-out didn't really transform.>>9961758man i'm glad someone else has old internet memories. sometimes i feel like it's just me. nobody else discusses the past, they just quietly let it get erased.
>>9961758I watched people slowly leave irc one by one due to discord being a thing.
>>9961758i-i still use IRC.. but none of my friends do anymore
>>9961758>Back when Sean Long and Peaugh were spending thousands of dollars to see who get transformers animated toys the earliestAnd now look. Outdone by an obnoxious zoomer.
>>9961727show silverbolt has a muuuuch longer plane neck than the toy did, so odds are that portion would actually end up splitting to becoming the base for the arms while the base mode ramp would fold out to become the leg bases. The wings/silverbolt arms would be folding up to form the torso proper.
>>9961751>>9961731>>9961726WAIT... NOW I DO!Holy shit... What about that one dude who did nothing but make Custom Devastator figures... he sold them and kept how he did it a secret.I remember he was a full of himself cunt, and then one day someone who bought one of them leaked the video, and it turned out it was held together by lego pieces and a long metal bar through the middle of the figure to keep it together... fuck... this was BEFORE 3rd party figures were even a fucking glimmer.lol.
>>9961330No no, I totally get it. We got some truly amazing toys out of those movies, and I appreciate them now even more in hindsight. Now that I've gotten over my childish hatred of the Bay designs I can appreciate a lot of these toys for the marvels of engineering and articulation that they are. I have even rebought some toys from that era that I sold, and I like them much better this time around.
>>9961769>>9961753RotF Bludgeon is one of the best TF toys ever.
>>9961766I think Rumblefrenzy is the name you're looking forWhat a time it was when TFC Hercules was coming out
>>9961769i just realized that, especially in terms of their toys (which for obvious reasons couldnt break the vehicles up into a million bits and mostly just moved big vehicle chunks out of the way to reveal greebly robot parts), the baydesigns were basically inverted beast wars.. where the skin breaks apart and reveals smooth metal parts underneath.
>>9961631Search for "WST" or "Worlds Smallest Transformers." These things were heavily KO'd for a while so it shouldn't be too hard to get your hands on some. They're pretty cool, tinier than you can believe and they full transform and articulate too.
>>9961764And now he's also taking over from all the other leakers, including the one's closest to SEA. I'm honestly wondering how much he's paying for them
>that one poor Generations/Henkei Warpath that was butchered to make this horrid red Vader thingI swear I had something of it saved, template with the girl feeding being dead-eyed but it's Warpath
>>9961637I would rebuy it if you see a decent price. I regretted selling mine back in the day, so I rebought it, it's a great figure even now. Just a fantastic looking sculpt.Alternately, if you really like the design, I think there's an upscaled KO of it, and some third party versions of this design as well.
>>9961777I'm guessing his dad pays for them or something.
>>9961782Maybe both his parents are dentists
>>9961776Sadly this has basically taken over that name
>>9961760yeah, it was a different time then...like literally 10-15 years ago.>>9961761Im sorry anon. I left too.. hated the mods.made good friends there though.>>9961764It is crazy how fast PvP gets his shit. The old ones were never literally 6 months in advance like he gets, its bonkers.>>9961771fuck yes.. thats it. Thanks anon. I wonder what that guy is up to?
>>9961758I was here for all of this but didn't remember a lot of these details. I'm kind of impressed at your retention ability. Sinno's boyfriend was in.cog.nito. It all feels like a much simpler time, when Jin was our biggest problem.
>>9961765for reference
>>9961786I hate this line for that reason alone.
>>9961785>>9961782They probably just toss him the money and he just fucks around with it, I know of a few rich families that essentially gave their kids cash because they were so busy with work that they never saw them, or were so old that they couldn't connect, giving them cash with the mistaken belief that it would buy them love (to the surprise of no one, the kid ends up spoiled).>>9961789>It is crazy how fast PvP gets his shit. The old ones were never literally 6 months in advance like he gets, its bonkers. Some did get sstuff several months in advance and before they were even announced, but this was over a decade ago.
>>9961726Its crazy to me how 3Ps basically figured, yeah lets do that too, and people are totally ok with it. So many MP collectors are guys who just came back to Transformers like 10 years ago.
>>9961786Oh, how unfortunate...well, WST should still bring up some results if you look in the right places. It was a fairly big thing 5-7 years ago or so, there were KOs being made in every colorway possible, so you had tiny versions of all the wacky exclusives, like BAPE Prime, Pepsi Prime, etc, every possible color of Seeker, translucent versions, Shattered Glass, everything and anything you could imagine. Eventually they even moved past the bootlegged Takara molds and made some original WSTs. It was a pretty cool time.
I need to get some TF ‘tism off of my chest.I fucking hate Hauler. We all get that Grapple was supposed to be part of the season 1 crew, hence why he was in the pilot for a second and the fact he was going to be the 12th deluxe autobot at release. I have now added Grapple as part of my ‘84 crew headcannon. That is all…
>>9961802>They probably just toss him the money and he just fucks around with it,It's either that or he has genuine insider connections of some kind. There's really no other explanation for it. Either way I find him uniquely hateable.
>>9961808Mmkay. Did you get Hauler's toy?
>No info on a voyager or leader SS86 SwoopHoly shit, are they ever releasing him? Are they just holding off the release until 2024?
>>9961795hah... i have a hard time with names of people. Oddly enough I pretty much remember every transformers toy name I have though.lol. In.cog.nito.remember when Optibotimus tried to do a cocacola commercial and got a cease and desist? Or when he was playing sympathy points for a shitty review of a ratchet toy... it might have even been transformers prime ratchet or chug ratchet... because he said his wife had a miscarriage when she was just late on her period by 2 weeks?
>>9961805MPs are an easier margin to be competitive on, and this only became more and more true as Takara's stuff became more complex and expensive. I don't own any 3P stuff aside from the Hot Soldiers Ratchet (pretty decent but not great) and Striker Manus (which I think is kinda crap) but I definitely get it. I'd be into it too if I cared about MP-style figures at all.
>>9961292I think my general strike against it is the TOONING like the closing panels covering up the leg guys. It just makes look much plainer. I would have accepted painted shins that resemble Brakedown and Wildrider when the doors close. The arm transformation where Dragstrip and Deadend split up is pretty cool though.Menasor in solo mode is still surprisingly more stable than the floppy shit Combiner Wars gave us and glad most of the combiner stuff was just delegated to the cab. >>9961758Unicron Crotches was around that time. Back in the dark ages before Combiner Wars brought people affordable combiner teams and FansProject upgrade kits for Energon combiners were the hot new thing, kitbashers were gutting Unicrons and Primuses (Primi?) for their bodyparts, primarily the crotches but also the arms as well. There was a big shitshow because Jin or some other kitbasher (I'm like 99% sure it was him tho) had uploaded a private video about how he customized the crotch to allow everything to connect to youtube and someone from here downloaded it and shared it with the public, with Jin threatening to sue because his hidden techniques were being shared to the public. I don't remember the full details but someone can probably explain this part better than I could.

>>9961884Blame Botcon for that>Classics starts up and they release Starscream and Ramjet as the only regular release Seekers with Skywarp as a Target exclusive>Botcon guys planning for 2007 take a look at these fancy nu-G1 toys and asks Hasbro if they can do the rest of the Seekers>Hasbro says sure and Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge end up as con exclusives limited to an expensive near-$300 boxset with Bug-Bite and Dreadwind>Casual fans are upset because they don't want to pay scalper prices for what they think at the time are the only chances people have at completing their seeker collections>Hasbro can't do jack shit about this without making the people with the Botcon set pissed and sit on their thumbs for several years>Meanwhile in Japan Takara puts out their own versions of Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge, leading to many fans buying them up overseas >Generations picks up in 2010 and the rest of the world FINALLY gets their hands on the other 3 seekers after the hype for the Botcon set had died downIf you look at Botcon's sets post-Games of Deception whenever they do a figure of a major G1 character (AKA someone from the 84-86 cast) it's almost always after they've gotten some sort of CHUG figure (The lone exception being Timelines Kup & Scourge in 2009). Everything else is either Shattered Glass, something Late-G1/G2 inspired, or themed around a specific TF line like Animated or Machine Wars.
>>9961897>that IPban-evading faggot. Why are you still here? Why can't you take a fucking hint?
>>9961921Aah, what a mess. I guess Hasbro gave the go-ahead cause they weren't expecting the line to go on much longer after the extremely lukewarm reception to Classics. People were PISSED about certain ones, like Grimlock and Mirage. I'm sure as shit they didn't foresee the empire that would eventually become CHUGURTS.
>>9961939>People were PISSED about certain ones, like Grimlock and MirageIronically for opposite reasonsGrimlock - shortpacked highly wanted character, then it turns out his toy is complete shitMirage - "literal who" that looks awful in photographs, then it turns out his toy is fucking amazing
>>9961939Nah, Classics was big from day 1 in the fandom. Its just that it wasn't meant to be a ling term line. Like Bumblebee and Starscream got so much praise from the get go, it was insane.
>>9961939>>9961950The two big reasons for people being pissed about that Grimlock/Mirage 2-pack were because they somehow managed to fail SPECTACULARLY with Grimlock's paint scheme and because they actually made the new Mirage inferior to his previous two releases - namely because they removed the shoulder ports where his guns were supposed to be mounted and decided to mold his whole body in blue and then paint the white over it, which is doomed to chip because his chest touched the floor in alt mode. Some very easily avoidable mistakes, but they went ahead and made them anyway.
>>9961802spoiled AND neglected and spiteful and resentful. bad combination. at least the usual spoiled ones who think their parents love em a lot and this is just how you express it have a sort of jovial selfishness.
>>9961921I miss 2009 and animated so much
>>9961958uh dude we're talkin about Classics from 2006.
>>9961970My mistake - I skimmed it, saw 'Grimlock and Mirage', and assumed it was about the WFC two-pack. Disregard.
>>9961461It was really just Transmetal Optimus' colours with orange added
>>9961976hm yeah. somehow blue and burgundy make more sense together. dinobot 2 has those plus white..
>>9961950Dude Mirage was legendary in my mind, it took me so long to get one for a fair price. I think he is still one of my favorite TFs of all time, he's just so weird and dynamic looking, and his poseability is still great.
>>9961991Also, while we're talking about CHUG, I am usually not a fan of Galvatron's design, and this was the one time I really did. It was a pretty bad toy ultimately, but his proportions and general design really worked for me. I liked it so much that this design is now my mental version of Galvatron when I try to visualize him.
Maybe this new Prowl is from Animated? They have mold with Legacy Arcee, only few parts need remolding.
>>9961991Yeah, it took Remy to make the mold sing to people. The stock photos and general images were unflattering as fuck, and the first loose photos were popped apart at the waist. Everyone was against Mirage from the get go because he was so odd looking in most pictures.
>>9961991I don't own a Mirage of any kind, but this one is way more interesting than the Siege or Kingdom figures with an altogether better alt mode.
>thinking about wanting Ramjet>Siege Starscream is STILL somehow really fun>colours are great, posability is out of this world, wing angling is the greatest thing>only conceivable downside is that it's Starscream and he's not my favourite, while I don't hate him>can't really do the stuff I want to do without him being a Space Judas popping up>a bit late to get another siege seeker for cheap, probably can't get Skywarp/lookalike>he's still amazingly fun, just in heroic coloursStarscream why are you doing this to me
>>9962000Biggest flaw if you get him: he doesn't play nice with 5mm system-- his hands are only 4mm, and thus can only hold his gun, Classics Rodimus's gun, and Robotmasters weapons/flipchangers guns.
>>9962011It's always funny when the easiest figure to army build is the one you don't want. I wanted to get some generic Seekers, but the only one that went cheap was Starscream.

>>9962011I hear so many great things about this mold but I just can't get over the looks. Even without the awful "weathering," the proportions, absurd level of greebling, and silly Tetrajet altmode just kill me every time. Earthrise Starscream looks better to me in every way, but unfortunately is a rather mediocre poser.
>>9962046I feel you with this I stamped me feet and was like I hate Legacy Arcee but give her a new paint job and I'm debating dropping 45 on Flamewar
>>9962019Love my Siege Starscream, really wish he had more expressive hands, either posable or hand swap. That would have made him perfect, especially if you swapped is head over with TC.
>>9962062Don't, you fucking know the mold sucks as a female transformer, it MIGHT be good if they retool it into Prowl or Cybertron Ransack, but there's no way to know until it happens.>>9962061I get what you mean, I like the tetra Jet, and the transformation could have been more complex, but the greebles are less noticeable in person and the proportions are still way better than the ER. You can also transform it without scrapping the paint off of the head (good luck doing that with the ER, specially the coronation version, kind of crazy the Siege dedicated one tiny mold for the heads).
>>9962072>>9962061 here, actually, I take that back, Redwing and Hotlink actually look kind of good to me. I guess the weathering really WAS a big part of what was driving me away. Wish Hotlink wasn't like double his original price now, he's the one I would wanna give a shot.
>>9962076i'm glad beast wars didnt give us an entire flock of pterosaurs. I wonder if their whole 'cost limits the cast' thing would really apply there if theyre all the same
>>9962061>I hear so many great things about this mold but I just can't get over the looks.I get what you mean, the lack of smoothness is a bit jarring, and the jet is a silly pyramid. But as the person you responded to, the posability was so endearing that I somehow managed to overlook those things, the greebling means he's engineered to be even more powerful, and the jet is like, I dunno, Galaga retro tier sort of "it's dumb" kind of cute. I don't love the jet mode either, the chest panel thing and overall transformation is eh, but the bot's still fun to handle and transform, with even the back being fancy. Somehow it just worked out for me.>>9962076>weathering>dopey looking pyramids>the purple jets, Redwing, and Thundercracker look great in jet modeThere's something so bizarre about how lovable these things are. I really really want a conehead and Ramjet (Pr?) sounds promising, but owning Henkei Starscream I don't know if I'd exactly be blown away by the Earthrise mold...
>>9962092i think the only part I don't like is the way that the angle changes harshly along one axis but smoothly along another. like pick a lane. either be polygonal or curvilinear. the combination looks dumb, like an opera house or something. looks weirdly fakey and weak.the basic idea is good, and i like cybertronian vehicles that look like this instead of a folded-up robot.
>>9962028>Which do you have?all the named seekers except redwingi waited him out and resisted temptation to get him at double MSRP for 2.5 years, then missed the sale where he was $10 below MSRP and sold out foreveri would ideally sell skywarp and thundercracker, but i swapped TC's head with starscream as was i believe intended. and with SW i want to keep fracasthen the netflix guys are great for their deco, and the rainmakers are so vivacious to let go (plus ion storm is in the blue order)really doubt i'll get any more seekers ever againi didn't even like earthrise more, they were available and i thought 'may as well'. will prbably sell those 3 in the end tbqhdesu
>>9962092>but owning Henkei Starscream I don't know if I'd exactly be blown away by the Earthrise moldIf you already own the Henkei, don't even bother. It somehow feels worse than the Henkei/Classics seeker despite the ER being based on that design. It's honestly disappointing because ER Starscream could have been good, but the fact they cut the time to design or produce it in half (compared to other voyagers) meant they needed to cut corners to meet the deadline, which is why it was based on the Classic design to begin with.

>>9962103>>9962162Maybe I just have shit taste, but I like ER Starscream. And I did own most of the legit Classics repaints and some of the more famous KO ones too. It's just an enjoyable figure to me despite some flaws, and it has some design features I absolutely love, like the shape of the feet, that no other Starscream has. What do most people hate about him, anyway? I never did find out. My main issues with him are lack of articulation in the waist/torso (but most Seekers have this issue) and his skirt gets in the way or looks bad flipped up.
>>9962197>What do most people hate about him, anyway? I never did find out. My main issues with him are lack of articulation in the waist/torso (but most Seekers have this issue)The set right before ER didn't have said issue. Had better articulation than most figures. But besides articulation, ER Starscream did most things better than Siege Starscream.
>>9962162>But they're all named..Not the Sparkles Seeker. Easy to forget about because his color scheme is horrendous, but he does exist.

Can't really think about retool potential or look at toys/art for similar guys (pretenders would probably be easy for their similar altmodes, or just make a nothing like Skullgrin). The pretenders I listed- shoot, Bludgeon's a voyager, so Stranglehold and Octopunch should be too... but who would buy a voyager of Stranglehold? >>9962416Wouldn't complain about seeing a few more Siege rereleases without being slathered in battle damage since I missed a bunch of those figures
>>9962474I think most would be ok with it if releases were faster. When Siege rolled out 4 waves of deluxe figures came out in about 10 months time, but Legacy has just started to trickle out wave 2 of their deluxe figures in nearly the same amount of time meaning if it keeps to this pace we won't see four waves of Legacy until late 2023. Studio series isn't lurching much faster and they have the double issue of jugging between movie figures and the G1 types meaning If this is the new trend of speed people will get more annoyed of the nonexclusive like Siege Soundwave taking up slots to an already small set of figures rolling out. That said I wager more causal collectors such as yourself hold more of the market meaning this approach will make the internet reee but sales will be steady.
>>9961995I hated this toy so much that it might be the first tf I ever returned to the store. I wonder if the design would've worked better as a voyager, even a leader. With more room his bits might not have gotten in each other's way so much, and his limbs not so prone to popping off.
>>9962536he wouldn't have been as clunky but there is no size that would deal with that horrid clash of colors and design.
>>9962460He is probably going to be a remold of Tarn or rather Tarn is a remold of him.

We had 4 waves of Titan Returns and 2 waves of Powers of the Prime in a year's time. And if you went back to before the Prime Trilogy it wasn't unheard of to have as many as 7 waves in a year, sometimes even full waves with little to no repacks. We are now in a time where you are lucky if the 4th wave is doing more than adding just one figure.

Legacy's been mixed for me, with so many QC issues lately, and some questionable choices for figures, I don't really feel like getting anything.Hell, I only have the Stunticons, Skids, Silvertreak, and Optimus marked is because I got them as surprise gifts, I wouldn't have gotten them otherwise (it's why I have the remaining Stunticons marked as maybe).
>>9962665She was a genderbent version of Quintus Prime.
>>9962693Quintus Prime has no lore, so I think it is based on the G1 Quintessons instead.
>>9962698Tentacle merchants? I always liked the cartoon origin of cybertronians being once mere products who revolted and formed their own society, enduring so long that their own beginnings were lost to time.
>>9961677I don't even consider people younger than 25 human.
>>9962685The only legacy toy that doesn't look ugly as fuck or cheap as fuck to me is Tarantulas, and even he feels a bit less attractive than the Kingdom stuff. Everyone else has different degrees of shittiness. I might get Jhiaxus I guess.
>>9962644I need to hunt his MPM version or cheaper ko>>9962647>wave 4 leaks faster than him
>>9962716Honestly, if it wasn't for QC issues, the one's I'd be excited for are Starscream and Inferno, but I'm expecting yellowing or some other crap that ruins them so I don't know if I should bother.
>>9962720Starscream is passable, but Inferno looks uglier than the original somehow to me. All his details and shapes are so uggo. Even something you'd assume would be a easy win like sculpted detail feels uneven what with the non-ant parts on his bot mode looking super underdetailed and stiff.
I forgot the Speedia deluxes I ordered said they shipped out so for a moment I got confused when FedEx was dropping off a box at the door.
>>9962716I think the problem with Tarantulas is his colors. The green should be brighter, and the purple should be darker.
>>9962727Cool, unexpected early toys. Take some pictures for the thread anon.
>>9962651>>9962648>>9962647>>9962644God Jolt was so cool, when he broke Optimus out of the mind control in tlk and went back to Cuba to chill out, that cemented him as my favourite character.
>>9962730All I have is my phone's camera, not a digital camera.
New thread?
>>9962751There is one and it is more dead.
>>9962751After Ironhide review in 3 hours, we should be near image limit then.
>>9962751We're not near page 10 at all yet, why would we need a new thread?
>>9962731Jolt had so many things working towards him for becoming a popular archetype that would apppear in future Transformers series, but the actual movie fumbled him.
>>9962751Fuck off>>9962745Unless it's a flip phone I'm sure it's good enough for /tfg/, anon.
>>9961206You are correct
>>9962751We already have one, silly!>>9961860>>9961860>>9961860
>>9962795>Hubcap: I want to be a good toy can I copy your homework>Windcharger: sure just don't make it too obvious
>>9962797>that thread>those discussions againI'm staying here
>>9962416The old deluxe classics are going for a fraction of the usual price now because everyone wants the ER Classics 2.0 seeker mold. I'm gonna laugh my ass off when next year or so they release a proper MP-style jet seeker that doesn't have the Silverbolt syndrome undercarriage and everyone has to buy 20 different seekers again.
Not the most unique or imaginative Galvatron out there but I would love a figure of his later IDW Earth mode, I don't think there's even a third party offering for it.
>>9962812They will buy them regardless of how they transfomer since they are Starscream and company. Seekers sell like hotcakes.
>>9962812I was thinking of maybe just selling my set of seekers (no Acidstorm) as a bundle just to ensure they all get out of the house. But I've been lazy about making BST posts here or anywhere else.
>>9962817Well they said more everything so it's an option. Also some 3p does voyager scale idw OP.
>>9962817>Scoop with the baddiesThey did my boy dirty in those books
>>9962837Has Scoop ever been undirty? Looks like someone who lifts dirt.
>Ironhide gets a new figure two years later>Arcee gets a new figure two years later>BW fans have to deal with manlet-deluxe Scorponok and limited exclusive retool of Terrorsaur for the next decadeThese fuckers got screwed over worse than the first minute of Season Two.
>>9962547If that means that Tarn isn't Going to be a remold of siege Megatron that's fine by me.
>>9962857Oh god, what if both Bludegon and Tarn are retools of Siege Megatron?
>>9962862Fuckin never
>>9962849My childhood G1 Scoop spent an unknown amount of time buried in a sandbox until his rediscovery years later. He's got a bit of rust on metal parts and lost a wheel but he's still kicking all this time later.
>>9962619No he didn’t??
>>9962873I saw it 4 hours ago, maybe he meant it for tomorrow?
>>9962837Was scoop actually a hyper religious dude in g1 or is that just an IDW thing? Cus ngl I like the idea of a religious autobot who always tries to do what he believes is best because of religion stuff
>>9962887G1 transformers don't have religion.
>>9962342Before any shitposter goes screaming about cartoons he doesn't watch, this is a penny pinching move by Hasbro.
>>9962887Much like Star Saber or Swerve's personalities, Scoop's faith was an invention of IDW.
>>9962342If he's part of SS that is just sad
>>9962891Too bad that is just the shading. The darker red part looks better.
>>9962887Short of Bio's Scoop wasn't really used enough in any media to have a personality until then.
>>9962891Don't worry. Between a $30 figure, the $15 3p 3D printed filler set, and the $15 Reprolabels to add the stripe, you'll end up with a halfway polished turd you can be proud of until the next Ironhide figure comes out.
>>9962886Can you post it please? >>9962902>30 dollars for a studio series voyager Man they’re 36 dollars at the very least now. Much more likely to go up to 40-45 next year if trends keep going as they are
>>9962900Part of the reason I think Transformers made kids interested was that unlike Go-Bots with its flat geometric shading, Transformers would (AKOM aside) use more irregular and dynamic shading for shots, making things just more visually interesting.
>>9962905Well the Fed just lower rates down, again, so yeah we are going to see some wild inflation come the fall/winter. I don't think it's unrealistic to assume in six months a Voyager will be nearing $55.
>>9962905I didn't do screenshot, it was gif of "heroic nonsense"
>>9962908Early anime exposure.
>>9962905It's a Voyager? Shit I thought he was a deluxe. Fuck this gay earth. That makes it even worse.
>>9962912The early episodes especially, before they settled into the groove. I think after episode 8 it's juuuust western enough to pass the squint test, compared to something like Roll For It or SOS Dinobots which stand out as being closer to the Robotech side of 80s robot shows than they do the Go-Bots one.
>>9962932also I just wanted a reason to post this shaded Megatron.
>>9962932Imagine if Chip Chase married a giant alien woman.
>>9962910Why would they lower rates? In the UK we just hiked ours earlier today. But then again Hasbro did say it was trying to absorb some of the costs itself because, unlike Mattel, they didn’t believe customers would be willing to pay if they got to high. Would hiking rates again fix inflation? I’ve been having convos about this all day and I still don’t understand
>>9962342hasn't got a stripe in the world.
>>9962644>>9962647>>9962648>>9962651nice to relive these memories
>>9962233Ohh! Wish that I could read it anon>>9962236>You have to pick something. It could be 30 different Wheelie repaints for all I care, but pick something.Fine, Antagony, Fractyl, and Packrat as individual exclusives for uh. Packrat for amazon, Fractyl for Wallgreens, Antagony for uhhh man I really don't want to give anything to walmart. What's the least popular Kingdom mold to make a repaint out of? Man I hate exclusives a lot ;_;>>9962261>>9962263>tfw he's collecting dust somewhere bc I wasn't feelin himMaybe I'm just dum>>9962416>>9962812>just want A conehead either way, was just a childhood desire (I wouldn't say grail) but yet to see classics prices go down/hoping they do>>9962644Absolutely adorable, anon. Become immortalized.
>>9962941>Why would they lower rates?when they raised them that little it rocked things hard the last couple of months so between a hard rescission or risking hyper inflation, they are leaning on the later, which in the long run is a crazy clown world play because if the US hyper inflates that would create a global market collapses that would make the western 2007/2008 housing market crash look like the best years anyone ever had. >Would hiking rates again fix inflation?technically yes but they went this go on for too long. The should have hiked rates in increasing intervals slowly back at the start 2021, like tapping the breaks on you car to slow down but not full stop, we would have likley still seen a 3%~ inflation jump but it would have stayed controlled and this mess would be over. However what they did was barley any increases and as such after 18 months of this we have reached a point where in order to stop the inflation it would be like slamming on the breaks to such an intensity it would throw the driver out of the car.So in short enjoy seeing fewer Transformer figures as well as seeing their price tag balloon wildly.

>>9963163So how's the toy/shows? Haven't heard of this before.
>>9962342Voyager price point, and they couldn't add double hinged pieces to avoid those gigantic hinges at the side or add the yellow stripe? The irony is that despite all that, the fact that he can yellow via the pelvis section AND all the clear plastic, he's still technically the best Ironhide so far.I have the Siege, so I'll probably wait for a possible improved KO or the next attempt in a few years.
Does the PF Siege Starscream had any reports of yellowing?
>>9963222No, only SG and earthrise/ss were spotted.
>>9963200Middle of the road. It was what you expect from a 90s toy brand cartoon
>>9963200>>9963295Toys are very much "an early 90s american action figure company tries to make robots" as well. Which really hurts the combiner and stuff like that.
>>9963200The toys were made by Toybiz iirc. Look kinda janky.
Got Impatrick and Spindiddly in the mail todayI really wish the Dino mode was more posable.
>>9963407Man, fossilizers are such a cool concept simply because of the potential of building some real abominations with each unique mold. Do wish that Transmutate wasn't advertised by being built like Paleotrex but with a different head, you can make Fossilizer Transmutate vaguely ressemble the BW design.
>>9963407It mostly needs head movement, which is a shame becaus they went out of their way to make the top of the Spino head a separate piece (unlike Paleotrex), but didn't go all the way into making the whole thing a separate part.
>>9963416A swivel at the neck would have gone a long way.As it is now you can swivel the top half of the skull but the bottom is locked forward.
>>9963422>As it is now you can swivel the top half of the skull but the bottom is locked forward.I suppose you could use it to make it look like Spindles jaw was snapped.
>>9963431Also on the back of the bot head, is that circular part meant to be like a laser hole or something? that's what it looks like to me.
>>9963410i'd like to see some people's attempts..>>9963436for a spino, I would think that's a water sprayer. those can be devastating with the pressure up high enough>>9963322you know what this reminds me of? the 'ronin warriors' toys that... at the time, I thought were so amazing, but in retrospect were kinda jankit makes me wonder, SURELY there was already a toyline for yoroiden samurai troopers, why didn't they just bring those over?
I'd be more interested in Spindle if the headsculpt wasn't so bad looking.
>>9963470Struggle between copying Scorn's head and the style of Fossilizer heads.
>>9963476All I ever see is YOU WANT PRAY GAME?
>>9963407I wish the dino didn't look like Mardi Gras threw up all over it.
>>9963476>>9963482
>>9963505hahahahahahahaha how did this design get approvedmaybe the designer snuck it in because he hated his job. I mean how could you not hate it?
>>9963646I want to know the original listing... look closely, that's a chevy logo on the front. Was this meant to be some sort of Transformers movie tie-in or "wink wink nudge" rip off? The buck teeth are Bumblebee's crotch too.
>>9963684i mean that's -kind of- a chevy logo. but unless they've changed it a lot since my day, it's different. the horizontal strip is similar, though somewhat chevron'd, but the central piece is a hexagon (appears to represent an isometric cube) rather than the central square.
>>9963688Ah, the rip-off then.
>>9963746i would say it's just logos being similar.. it's possible someone did have "let's put something like an automotive brand badge on it" in mind, since it also looks a little like the Genesis logo. though nobody has ever fucking heard of Genesis cars, I had to look it up, I just remembered seeing a badge like that before.
well looks like the other thread won, guess you can't make a new one here when this one hits page 9, it'll only get deleted. you wanna try anyway? i'm just a bystander here.
>looks like the other thread won>when this thread went on for ~250 more posts even after that <100-post thread was madeWrong
>>9963869yes but considering that it should be deleted on sight, its survival is a massive success for it, and a loss for us.especially since it makes it difficult to make another legitimate one.
Quit fagposting retard
>Got an extra set of Jhiaxus guns... and a Jhiaxus head>Don't really know what to do with themMan, I love the red gun, but I have so many figures that could use that gun, not so much the tiny one but there's probably some small deluxe that could use it.
>>9963942Anon howI 'd use it for a Straxus-esque "defeated but still sticking around" thing and his fren or successor using his guns, only issue is you already HAVE a JhiaxusAlso HOW anon
>>9963944Friend is apparently using the body for a custom. I can only imagine he's turning it into some seeker, he apparently hates the guns and has no use for the head. I never know what he does with them. I once ended up with like 16 TR Nightbeats because he apparently needed the vehicles for something (he only wanted a dollar for them).

Found Blitzwing in retail price, which is less that normal price for leaders in my country.Nice, time to order it.
>>9963858I say yes. We make a new thread, we migrate to the new thread, we keep the new one alive. Since the troll thread will hit bump limit before ours, it'll stop bumping, meaning the real one will be the one at the top of the catalog that the sheeple will swarm to instead; once we're certain the real thread will stay, we post a link over in the troll thread to try and get some people back (and piss of that ban evading faggot in the process, which would certainly make me smile). If the mods delete it? Make another one. And another. As many replacements as they remove. It's time to stop just passively waiting for the mods to do their job or for that troll to literally drop dead, and time to actually stand our ground for once.
