I'm still pissed that a pre order can sell out. The product isn't even made yet, make what you need to fill out preorders. There's no reason to sell out.
>>9858316It's on preorder on amazon right now
Is the Snake Eyes: Alpha Commando a good figure to make a lazy custom of Hunk from RE or some sort of faceless soldier if I add a helmet to the commando head? I'm new the 1/12 scale and I'd like recommendations for figures that fit the "modern warfare" aesthetics.
>>9858489Just buy the 3p hunk
>>9858489Do you have eyes? You can see if it'll work for yourself.
>>9858401Thank you so much anon, I was able to order one.
>>9858754Glad to help out, bro
>>9858685I don't own the figure yet
I get that GIJoe is not as easily marketable as Disney's latest movie, but can't Hasbro really make some legit Classified vehicle for under 100 bucks? Jazwares also put some badass mech for their 1/18 Halo line for a nice price. It doesn't have to be incredibly high-end, and if the vehicle is cool enough they could sell it without driver to save costs too.
Amazon has Amazon Roadblock, BAT, and Alley Viper in stock and retail price at 2nd seller
>>9859046You can't tell from that picture alone if it looks enough like HUNK already?
>>9859219>Amazon has Amazon Roadblock, BAT, and Alley Viper in stock and retail price at 2nd sellershill
>>9859219Only the BAT now :( Missed AV again
IG reveals today at 12:30
>>9861767Strongly tempted to get this, but I'm expecting stupid pricing.
So Scrap Iron and Grunt are coming in 2023. Scrap Iron is supposed to have an articulated drone "pet"
the cake teasing a Hiss Tank Haslab......unless the cake... is a lie?
I'm so exhausted seeing new stuff when it feels like there's endless stuff they've shown off with no release dates in sight.
>>9861946same :/
>Scrap Iron and Grunt are the name only reveals>o-ring stinger is already up for preorder>Tiger force duke is target exclusive and will be up for preorder at a future date>HISS tank hinted to be the haslabThat's it right? Lame stream. No wonder they hid it on instagram.
>>9861767When does this go up on Target?
>>9858489Worked for the 3/4th scale.
>>9861955I hate how they reverted the 3 3/4" line back to o-rings to please the vocal minority. Hopefully I can resell the Cobra Officer to cover the price of the stinger.>>9861959Probably next week to end YoJOJune.
>>9861767
>>9861955Consider what >>9861946 noted, if they are not careful this line is going to implode in on itself like a dying star. We have a total of 51 listed items with 30 of them being Classified. To give context the most Marvel Legends has had has been under 25 items at any one time. This is not counting the BAT/AV wave nor the Spirit/SS/Officer wave either which many still have never found nor seen. Compound this with a coming rescission and we should sooner hope they just stop announcing new stuff as their is serious risk some of these items just might not get made at all.
>>9861996Weird that they still refuse to give him his helmet. Teaching kids bad motorcycle safety habits.
>>9861767>>9861996That gun pretty much means a retro Duke is on the way.
In hand pic of Xamot, who is already out in Europe.
More pics of the Viper 3 pack, which is also out in Europe.
One of the Vipers in the set is a black guy, to change things up for army building.
The Cobra Island version has brighter colors next to these guys.
>>9862187That’s pretty rad. Wish they kept the brighter colors though.
>>9862189New recruit vs seasoned verteran.
>>9861946it could be worse, we only saw a tease of the ULTIMATES Cobra Bat from Super7 on Fullforce Podcast so its like they are barely trying.
In addition to putting her in Joe displays I think I'm going to make her double as femIndiana Jones / Laura Craft and have her fight animals, skeletons and shit.
COBRA LALALALALALALALALALA!
>>9864732>It's finally happeningI can't wait
>>9862013>Duke>HelmetDoesn't wear it in the cartoons and hardly wears it in the comics.
>>9862013kids aren’t interested in G.I. Joe
>>9862013I also wish he was brunette, would've been interesting to see.>>9865135>>9865409It'd be a nice option, Roadblock eventually got his. And they took inspiration from the original toys instead of the cartoon or comic for Tomax and Xamot, why not do the same for Duke
Marketing bit before the movie showing dropped that there would be around 100 classified figures released by the end of 2023. If plans haven't changed, that means there are around 30 figures they haven't even teased yet, even if a bunch of them are going to be repaints.
>>9865434God, hopefully the guy who made that awful SE movie never works again. Completely derailed the GI Joe renaissance.
>>9865434I wish I could go see it. Always wanted to see that beautiful intro in the big screen
>>9864732I've been excited for this guy. He's a new vehicle figure too.
>>9865531Part of his Air Chariot.
>>9865135Toy still had it, and only Dreadnoks ride without a helmet in current year There's no need to give hasbro any more reasons to cheap out on accessories anyway. If we're being anal with our semantics, Tiger Force Duke isn't in the cartoon or comic in any meaningful way to my knowledge, so who cares?
>>9865135So? Plenty of Duke figures have released with a helmet included.
>>9858489looks nothing like hunk, get the 3p while you can.
>>9862176i sure hope so. then i will start collecting
>>9865845It'd be a waste on Hasbro's part not to do one when they already went thru the trouble of tooling the gun, and they've already made lazier Retro repaints. They'd probably give him his helmet in that release as well. I'd be curious if they swap out or change any other parts, such as giving him bare hands. They should time him to drop at the same time as a Retro Cobra Commander.
>>9865876I really hope the retro cobra commander comes with a reuse of the snake supreme cape and the gold staff. Just watched the movie tonight so I’m really hoping to get that, and a bunch of Cobra La characters.
I want to care about the Serpentor leak but with so many preorders from last year that still haven't shipped it's hard for me to get excited for something that isn't going to drop until 2024 at the earliest
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03iC6DxYYgw
>>9866928>100On pre-order?>>9866155I feel you. Alley Vipers and Bats are still not officially even out on pegs and most people never saw them at retail. Same shit seems like it's going to happen with the next wave. A few people in Europe(I think Germans) have it already, but nobody's apparently posted many pics, and Hasbro's ETA window on them as next year.
>>9866155>I want to care>>9867022>I feel you.Same. Ive had a dozen or more figures preordered from EE, bbts, and pulse and I'm still waiting.
>>9867454Why so many? all you truly need is BBTS.
>>9867456I hedged my bets on some army builders buying from two places, and I had gotten Stalker through Pulse for some god-forsaken reason.
I wish we had one more military line like Joes and Valaverse, I'd kill for a Siege line to go with those two.
So how was everyone’s 35th movie experience? I couldn’t go but the ticket book online showed no one went or ours
I just picked up Duster and Rollout from bbts to mix into my Joe Team. Anybody mix them?
Seriously Hasbro? It literally fell off after I got it out of the box.
>>9870103At least the peg didn't break off
>>9870103heat it up and put it back on why are you bitching
>>9870103Stop being a shit and just stick it back on.
>>9870103"Hey man, you gotta go see a doctor! Your nads ain't s'posed to look like that!"
>>9870103Actually it looks like that hip ball is smashed. The front of it looks pressed in and more flat than normal so it might not be the right shape to properly hold the leg in that socket.
>>9870197I think they started doing them that way on purpose, so the legs have a little more room inside the cup and they don’t strain the peg as much.
>>9870155Fuck you>>9870162And you
>>9870103I'd take that over the bullshit tight hips my BBQ has that stressed his pegs the first time I tried to pose him.
>>9869224Technically no, but I got to watch some of it as I can only assume they started it late as when we went to get seats for Top Gun early it was still playing in the theater. Didn't get to finish however as it switch over to that preview program they run before a film started and I'm sure the 4 or so people that left were pissed both at it ending early and how shitty the quality was (they were playing the film at 4:3 ratio at low quality). Also I'm assuming most across the country didn't attend in general. There is next to no new media doing well in the market and the animated Joe movie was panned badly back then and to my knowledge never warm up to the fans like the Transformers film did. iirc The Joe movie wasn't even in theaters back in the day due to how bad Transformers so it's just this strange market stunt that was doomed to fail. Would have been in their better interest to just take the opening of the film and then play some of the best episodes of the TV show, would have been a better call.
>>9870262Nah, why don’t you stop being a baby and just fix it.It isn’t hard and you’re making an issue out of nothing.
>>9869224I work overnights so I didn't get to go. Also, movie theaters suck and corona chan was supposed to kill them
Always wanted a Flint figure and I wasn't disappointed.
>>9870753I like how everything is in focus except Flint
>>9870755Shit, that's egg on my face. I was playing DRG with the lads.
>>9870779>DRGSo, you tanking the floor?
I thought of a new sub team! All chicks. They all work for Sgt Slaughter.Slaughter's (M')Daughters!
>>9870892My idea was Captain Shipshape's(Shipwreck's) Thot Patrol.
>>9870890Was doing part of the summer event. I was on Gunner duty, you could say that.
>>9870898Then we make both! And every Thursday they have to compete with waterguns.
THE FUCKING KNEES DON'T BEND ON THE OFFICERHASBRO FUCKED UP THE BASIC JOINT ENGINEERING OF THESE FIGURES, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT FUCKS
>>9872576>modern era Joes died for this trash
>never watched gi joe as a kid because my country didn't have it on tv for some reason>check some clips with snake eyes because he looks cool>snake eyes is an unstoppable killing machine that flinches at nothing and marches towards his enemies like some slasher film villain>his rival, storm shadow, is just some autist that literally seethes impotently at him whenever they fightI don't get it. Doesn't this make Snake Eyes look bad?
>>9873137Were you watching Resolute clips?
>>9873173Yeah, and from one of the movies.
>>9873050Yeah and the product is what they wanted. It took a few months but it doesn't make me go into a blind rage anymore, still dumb as fuck. Also croc master is "processing soon". Hey I may end up with 3 classified figures this year! Hasbro really does put fans farts.
>>9873137Resolute Storm Shadow is a jealous little bitch. You're welcome to enjoy Resolute, and even that SS. But keep in mind that it's probably the worst/most different version of Stormy as well as his history with Snake-EyesBesides SE origins, I don't know the details and I don't plan on ever seeing it.
Apparently a lot of retail stores are starting to get the Storm Shadow, Spirit, and Cobra Officer wave in stock. Pulse is also shipping them along with BBTS. Others are saying Amazon is charging and getting ready to ship theirs although I haven't seen any updates on my order there.
>>9873421Bbts only notified me of croc master but I placed the order the same day as they went up for po, so it may be a staggered roll out? I saw some site had storm shadow reviewed so I'm stoked and ok not getting mine first.
>>9873050They were dead before this happen. We got something like 8~10 years of those figures and designs and with no new show or successful movie all that's left to exploit in the market atm is retro
>>9873421Found the wave at Walmart today. Grabbed Spirit and Tommy, skipped on the officer and canceled my bbts preorder. Word of warning, heat up Spirit's hips. His left was too tight and, even in near 80 degree weather today trying to use his leg out of the box stressed his hip peg.
>>9873050"muh childhood" piss-tank faggots.
Kinda weird that even with new stuff coming out soon this thread still sinks to the bottom. The in hand pics of spirit and storm shadow look good, so fingers crossed for no qc issues like >>9873605
Wow, neat. Anyone ever hear about this before?https://twitter.com/yoshinokentarou/status/1541700589415182336
>>9873421I have Storm Shadow and the Officer POed at BBTS and a few days ago got emails that all of them in that wave had been pushed to September...
Pulse is processing my Stormshadow, lolBbts is processing my croc master soon though.
>>9859172wait, does this work?
>>9874429Oh. And the cobra officer too! Nice
>>9874268>Kinda weird that even with new stuff coming out soon this thread still sinks to the bottom. Hasbro and scalpers burned a lot of good faith last year. The fact a thread is even here is a miracle
>>9874546I know, it's been a shit show since day one with little improvement but I'm personally still trying to be hopeful. But killing the ME retro line after basically releasing no figures then flooding shelves with troopers and stalkers and releasing the hiss tank TWICE, and then re releasing all the cobra island figures EXCEPT major bludd just leaves me frustrated and confused as to wtf is going on. We used to daydream about hopes for future figures and now we just wait for 2023. This is exactly why I so rarely open my classified figures, it hasn't been fun and I've got a real bad taste in my mouth over it all.
>>9873605>Found the wave at Walmart today.Mine didn't even get the BAT/AV wave yet because there is so many shitty movie figs still. Recall that shit, Hasbro
>>9874597Hopefully 1/12 scale dies off for good.
>>9874659Like 1/18th did?
>>9874661Are you happy with your endless motorbikes whole 1/18 chads have vehicles of all shapes and sizes? Feels supremely Based knowing Warhammer is chugging along nicely while McFarty is struggling with his line.
Amazon says my Cobra Officer still be here Saturday and Storm Shadow will be here next Wednesday. Dunno why they can't just come together
>>9874546>>9874597Also consider we are in a major global recession and most people will cut out hobbies like this, more so as the prices keep climbing
>>9874669mine say thurs and even a pair of bat/av just shipped for today

>>9874853A shame it's not something wacky and bullshit$300 though, I guess that's fine
>>9874853>>9874882HA HA HA, no...
>>9874853And it's also just a scaled up ARAH version. Looks like I can save $300.
>>9874853>>9874882>>9874894>>9874898Damn, 1/12 cucks have to pay 10x the amount for a vehicle.
>>9874853It was the most expected outcome. Few Joe vehicles are as iconic.
>>9874937The General
>>9874944Feels Supremely Chad knowing 1/18 scale has all those vehicles whereas 1/12 will never happen.
>>9874853I wager it'll reach goals if only because like Marvel Legends Sentinel people will buy the max amount to army build
>>9874664>Are you happy with your endless motorbikesHaven't you read the thread? The Air Chariot is confirmed. The CLAW would be a well-known mini-vehicle that would be easy to do for the Classified line, too.>>9874882Would I like a Classified-scale HISS? Sure. Would I like to pay that much for one? No.
>>9874972>Marvel Legends Sentinel people will buy the max amount to army buildMany got them hoping to resell and it didn't go well just like the MOTU bad guy mountain before. Too big to ship and Sentinel tied in when Covid payments were going out from the government.
>>9874937>Few Joe vehicles are as iconic.I kind of wish the Thunder Machine was more well-known just so someone would try to build a real one.
>>9874988It's more up there than you realize.
>>9874988>>9874998
>>9874987That's why you add on the shipping cost to the buyer. Anyone reselling know the exact weight and cost of shipping items.
>>9874987Dumpf fucked things over, he made every mistake in the book
>>9874987Joe Scalpers have been twice as thick with bad buy-ups so that even further ensures this thing will sell.
>>9874410>mail away>4th quarter 1993He'd almost certainly be expensive as fuck. That's pretty cool though, could easily bash a suited character with maybe a Duke head to make a Geese Howard. But the Ikari Warriors and/or Metalslug are still my dream SNK-Joe crossover
>>9875005sounds like we need to rally the troops and get ready for war
>>9875003>That's why you add on the shipping cost to the buyer. They do but most don't want to risk shipping items that big. Every Snake Mountain I've tried to buy was "Local pickup ONLY". I don't live in the shithole that is Cali, asshats

>>9875004>Biden fucked things over, he made every mistake in the bookFTFY
>>9874998Trashers is tubbyRoadpig is skinny
So what would justify the $300 price point for everyone? I think I'll need 5-6 figures included.
>>9875138to be fair they were in their mid to late 40s when the photo was taken back in 2012 for the 30th anniversary of the brand. Most of those guys are dads with kids, some now have grand kids.
>>9875170And sadly, probably none of those kids or grandkids like GI Joe. In a few years you'll see /toy/ posts and reddit posts with pristine collections full of army building going "Anyone know what these are? My grandpa just died and we're clearing his house."
>>9875158Full functionality would be a big thing, working treads, the back compartment opening up, control panels with working joysticks in the drivers seat, etc. The Driver is the only other big thing however I wager the backer goals will be effect parts like laser blasts, explosions, dust up effects and what not, maybe even a diorama to put it on. I could see them cheap out and make one goal be a cobra mechanic that's just a mix of Duke and Cobra Trooper parts with tool box and wrench accessories. Only other thing I see them pulling is decals to make it a Joe vehicle mirroring the stunt they did with the SkyStriker.
>>9875158Working treads, motorized raising cockpit, lights, multiple armament options, and several figures. I will not accept anything less considering other toy lines are capable of making vehicles that fit up to 7" figures and don't cost nearly this much.
>>9875180Nah, I doubt it would go that bad as their are photos of the kids hanging out with them dressed as joe/cobra characters. I doubt they are fans but they have memories with their parents and what not.
>>9875180That shit almost never happens with family it's usually shit like >Anyone know what these are? I work for the state and we're clearing the house of a suicide victim with no family claiming him
>>9875170I wasnt dogging them, hell I don't know if id have the guts to walk outside with my belly exposed but I've got an anti gut. Man I miss the 25th and 30th, took it for granted.
>>9875138Bad shot, Roadpig is a huge dude named Tank.Don't know Thrasher but that was Dragoncon so he is probably full of alcohol from past 2-3 days nonstop.
>>9875158So you want a $200 vehicle with enough figures to make it $300
>>9875182I'm expecting some repaint for the first backer goal, really nothing exciting until the thrid stretch goal
>>9875406Robo pointed it out in his weekly update that it'd be a fair deal.
>>9875417If I were interested, when might I expect this haslab to live?
>>9875460It's being officially revealed tomorrow so more than likely that's when it is launching.
>>9875417You'll only get those extra figures if they hit 5 to 6 stretch goals though, probably.Whatever. Thankfully I don't much care for the HISS.
>>9875406>Serpentor is the unlock at 40K backers.
>>9875469Thanks, I could only find the pic that I guess you've all seen already. Scrap iron is exciting, he was one of my first Joe's that I got to pick out at Sears so that's fun for me at least.
>>9875488I would be so salty if I had to not only get the 300 dollar hiss tank to get Serpentor, but also hope enough other people got it as well..
>>9875529It's probably just gonna be a troop builder, maybe a classic style trooper, the Sentinel Haslab only came with troop builders didn't it?
>>9875555Yeah, but the Rancor needed like 100k to get the version of Luke Skywalker that I actually want. And I think Galactus comes with unique characters, too.
>>9875560Well to be fair, those are ones more inclined to only have one ordered, unlike the Sentinel
>>9875565Good point. I kinda forgot that the HISS is an army builder.Anyway, at least it's not the fucking AWE Striker again. Anyone know why that piece of shit has been getting such a push lately between the "retro" wave release, the model kit, and Bumblebee?
>>9875583I have to assume it's just laziness. Though it could also be some embarrassing copyright thing, or any number of reasons why Hasbro does the things they do.
Anyone know the clear, stainless joint lube Robo used in his Spirit, Storm Shadow, and Cobra Officer review? Thanks.
>>9875158sunbow scale with the two seat cockpitin fact that's probably the only way i'd buy it at all
>>9875555technically due to Baston's swapable head yes. >>9875583>>9875659Shot in the dark but I assume it's just a cost thing. It's a thin framed buggy with a gun on top, For a Model kit there wouldn't be much to the runners and for a Transformer you are just shape changing a brick with wheels. For better or worse the Joe brand has never had one outstanding vehicle for the Joe's that sticks in everyone's mind like HISS tank. Hot take but I'd argue the Trouble Bubble is more in the minds of geek culture than the Flagg, MOBAT, or VAMP.
>>9875825>two seat cockpitHISS tank ll sure but why HISS tank l?
>>9875828Funny enough I think the Flagg is the one most non Joe fans know about just because of how ridiculous it was, meanwhile I'm sitting here really wanting a BUGG
>>9875833because its like that in the cartoon and it would at least be different and forced to be large enough to justify that pricei'm not really looking to just buy a slightly bigger version of the same toy ive bought half a dozen times
>>9875828Most of Cobra in general sticks out for how ridiculous everything looks. In this art we have a solider wearing hockey gear with a metal face plate as well as googles drive what is basically a giant grey and red buzzsaw. That shit is just going to stay in your mind compared to a green jeep with missiles on it.
>>9875583>>9875828just remember it could always be worse
>>9870103That's what you get for buying some Joe nobody who looks like Dan Larson.
>>9875828I unironically think the most outstanding Joe vehicle, Skystriker excepted, is the Armadillo.
>>9875879he looks nothing like Larson and a football coach reference is an odd take.
>>9875889Somewhat surprising we don't see it more since it's basically a green box with four cannons on it, you think they roll it out more often
>>9875879Isn't Dan Larson some woke libtard?
>>9859172Mer-Man looks like he's cheerfully waving while his shadow looks like it's about to kill someone.
>>9875879>>9875892anon had to be referring to the baseball pitcher who was based on a Joe but not Breaker.
>>9875889I think the sharc is up there too, though its a pretty generic design and is mostly memorable for how stupid the plane submarine concept is
>>9875907weren't a lot of the 80s and 90s figures based on irl people? Like Scoop was based off Mike Leonard and many of them were based of creators and teams in the Joe brand?
COBRA POGO BALLISTIC BATTLE BALL
>>9875917SHARC and Snowcat, too, now that I think about it. Those three feel the most STUPID FANTASY ARMY to me while also having a lot of play. I mean, in my perfect world, the Mean Dog, Triple T and HAVOC would be household names that saw constant reuse and reissues.
>>9875927Isn't Dan Larson some weirdo sjw idiot saying dumb shit on twitter?
>>9875812Silicone Shock oil? It’s mainly used for rc cars but good at loosening action figure joints

These guys are already out in Europe apparently.
Python Patrol/Tiger Force figures fucking WHEN??
Well, its fucking beautiful, but its not worth $300. It has lights, and moveable tracks. 4 stretch goals that are hidden for some dumb reason. if it unlocks in the first week, there will be a second driver with a special deco.
>>9876879Yea, definitely not worth that price. This should be a retail offering anyway.
>>9876879I wager it’ll be Ripit/blue driver
>>9876898The color will be a fan vote.
>>9876879>>9876891Alright you fucks unlock all the shit so I can figure out if I want to buy one on Aug. 14 or not.
>>9876891I'm really into it, but how'd they go from a $120 snowspeeder to this $300 thing?
>Orders are estimated to ship Winter 2003Uhh...
>>9876906Because all 4 unlocks are worked into the $300 price + fucking greed
They're probably going to blow the 8000 backer goal by the end of the day at this rate. Its already quickly approaching 2000.
>>9876912Those 4 unlocks better be 4 deluxe figures.

Ok, I'm in. These stretch goals better be cool, guess we've got a year to think about it
>>9876940They seemed to hint that maybe we'd get something for the vehicle to tow since they added the tow hook. A third figure would be cool too; perhaps Rip It? Then you have a figure for all three spots on the tank.
>one seater tankOH NONONONONONONO
Meh, it's cool but I'm not going to throw in. As much as I want vehicles for Classified, I don't want to support more rehashing of 80's stuff. If I'm going to spend $300 then it needs to be on something new. I could just print out a scaled up model of the original H.I.S.S and have 90% of the same thing.
>>9876958>I want something else other than the property that thing is fromLiterally what?
>>9876965You know they can make a H.I.S.S that doesn't copy the original right? They've done it before.

>>9876953Nah, rip it wouldn't sit well with me. A repaint packed in with the original figure would just rub me raw. It wouldn't surprise me from Hasbro but a cool as a classified hiss tank is, I'm more interested in the possibility of more figures like the sentinel got. Now if it turned out to be that atv whose name i forget, well that'd be rad too.
>3,407 BackersBros, if we back it today we get a second figure, maybe even a third with the unlock goal!. Lets keep going!
>>9876985It'll get funded no problem, skystriker managed to get done. Has any haslab failed?
>>9877004You're going to want to army build the Hiss Driver, and what better way than repaints? The first unlock if backed by today is a repaint, so getting a third doesn't hurt. You'd have a full crew for it then.

HiSS tank is neat. Maybe I'll back it, since while I have shit for Classified figures, it's still six inch scale and a lot of other figures could enjoy it.
>>9877096>The Big MF and Big AT-ATThose were both sculpted at a time when Star Wars was popular and before the toy industry changed. Toys like that can't be made today, because we no longer pay slave wages in China.
>>9877036Shit was doomed to fail, Star Wars survives solely on nostalgia and no one gives a shit about new characters. Disney must be shitting themselves at this point trying to figure out what they can do with the brand once all these geriatric actors are dead in a few more years.

>>9877168I remember during the Unicron Haslabs they said they would actually lower the price if enough people backed it, but then they ended up extending the deadline just to get the minimum backers If they said something like "We'll shave off $100 if it gets triple funded" I wonder what would happen
>>9875555>the Sentinel Haslab only came with troop builders didn't it?No, it came with the only Marvel Legends figure of Bastion to date, a fairly important 90s villain, and an alternate generic Prime Sentinel troop head, along with a generic female Prime Sentinel.
>>9877066The BS was never meant to be a vehicle line. Don't know why they bothered with it. Speeder bikes at best is what they'll be able to sell, but BS is just to put more details on the figures compared to the 1/18th. Hasbro SW is full of unqualified non-fans trying to spew out shit tier garbage to please Disney and their woke head of SW division.
>>9877209So he could become a troop builder if you used the alternative head

>>9877044Hasbro can afford to sell this thing for $100 if they wanted to.
the tank looks really cool, but it highlights how bad an idea the 1/12 scale is if a small vehicle is $300, then a skystriker must be $1000, oh well at least it's not too tone deaf this time
Did they have a livestream revealing any more figures, or is it just the HISS tank today?
>>9877253Just the tank and skystriker update
>>9877242It's not a bad idea if it's making them a shit load of money. Kids are never gonna like GI Joe, so might as well milk the older crowd with lots of disposable income

I've never contributed to any of the haslabs, but just to be sure; They don't charge you until the campaign is over, right? Do they put a hold on the card? I see you can pay with paypal, but is that an option you'd have to pay immediately, or would you still be able to wait until after the campaign?
>>9877287Just wait for BBTS to put it up for preorder, it'll be a lot cheaper especially with that $4 shipping.

On one hand, if it gets backed in a single day then that's fantastic and tells Hasbro that vehicles for this line are in demand and can be supported. On the other, I fear that it may mean anything bigger than a motorcycle is going to wind up being HasLab only projects and that kind of sucks because they could offer these at retail/fan channel sites. At least stripped down versions without electronics.Anyways, just got Storm Shadow in from Amazon even though they said he was supposed to be here Saturday and my Officer is supposed to come tomorrow. I'd be lying if I say I wasn't digging this figure. I do wish there was more to it from that original Classified design we saw but this is still a solid toy and I'm glad I can finally surrender the Ninja Force version to the Joe team shelf.

Is the classifed line as good as everyone has been saying? I only have a slight connection to GI Joe. But there is some nostalgia, not from certain figs, but just from playing with soldiers. The Hiss tank Haslab has intrigued me. Anyone mind posting their collection? Curious how this line displays as a whole instead of individual figs.
>>9878090They're pretty shit, better to not start because it's difficult to get any of it not just the exclusives
>>9878090Extremely high quality compared to other retail 1:12 toylines. Supplies never meet demands though, and you can often run into other Joe collectors trying to find the figures if it's ever announced that they've been spotted at retail.
>>9878105>>9878109Damn... kind of a shame. Not really looking to get into any line that is scalped more than the others already are. I figured the scalping is about to go up with they hype from the haslab too.I don't have the room for a Joe display anyway, especially with Galactus coming soon. Just saw the Hiss tanks and love how the Cobra troopers look. I will stick to my already hard to find toys and not throw money away.
>>9878112The toyline is pretty much online exclusive. You can get them, but everything's on fucking pre-order.
>>9878090I think I may have been in a similar position as you maybe even liked Joe less (as a kid I found human characters boring I was into stuff like TMNT, street sharks, Jurassic Park weird stuff you know)I had a few Joe's and felt they were insubstantial, flimsy little guys that were more like an accessory to a vehicle than a character to meBut I heard the buzz about classified too and kept telling myself "they look cool but they're hard to get" "Hasbro sucks though" "I will never get a regular cobra trooper what's the point" Then target had their CI reissue last year and that's when I decided id give it a try (got cobra trooper and viper as my first ones) and it's now something that I keep buying Here are all my cobra grunts
>>9878150Forgot image
>>9878090Classified toys range from "another Hasbro 1/12 toy" to legitimately good both as a toy and as an aesthetic upgrade of the original figureGuess which ones are scalped
Just want to say again how bummed I am they stopped doing updated and revised versions of characters and now are only doing 6 inch versions of the original looks.
>>9878271I feel the same. Although that Cover Girl they showed off is looking good to me.
Gotta unlock that top HISS tier to get figures of "Games Master" bikini Baroness and "Skeletons in the Closet" lingerie Lady Jaye!
this would cost almost half a unicron unit did in my countryhow can that be possible for the size and amount of plastic/design for a single HISS (plus pilot)?
>>9878054I like it. I don't want to be Mr no-fun-allowed for a cartoonish toy design, but the Hiss tank as a tank was a bit too dumb for my taste; now it can be a mobile multiple rocket launcher vehicle with an additional anti-air turret which may not be the most realistic thing ever but at least it's not a tank with a glass cockpit.
>>9878271Same. I sold all of mine, minus a couple Snake Eyes. Idk, just don’t have the same excitement for rehashed 80s designs, especially when my entire collection is all the new style stuff. I’m sure Hasbro will make a classic version of the characters from the start of the line. But idk, I’m just not interested in selling off all my figures just so they match the new ones with their “classic” looks.
Alright, time to show of the next tier unlock, Cover Girl's Wolverine.
Seems like the python patrol figures are back up for pre order at target, the bat and viper pre orders have been sold out everytime Ive checked so this may be a new batch. Target checks the accts you use for pre order so to avoid any cancellations just use one that always has that amount in it.
Hasbro needs to reveal the next tier already. At the rate we're going, even if tier 2 is lame, like blast effects, it'll already be unlocked sometime today.
>>9877713Not into Classified, but won't they just color it as Rip-It? Hiss Tactician sounds like him.And Hasbro frequently feigned choices with the SW Fan Votes
>>9878271Hasbro needs to find the balance, they went with an 'MCU hero' approach in that first wave which got a flat response, myself included. I'll give credit to Hasbro for trying to pivot but now the pendulum is too far in the other direction and they are just blowing up a lot of the original designs when I think a lot of collectors wanted the approach they took with Firefly & Beachead, take the basic look and as long as it still holds up & give it a patina of modern tacticool. Granted what still 'holds up' is extremely subjective, especially between the cartoon vs. the comic fans, but for myself I would have preferred Mindbender in a labcoat and Tomax/Xamot in business suits, but for guys who want the classic versions? More power to ya.
>>9878747seconded
I'm sold on the Hiss Tank, I wonder what other stuff we will be getting? I'm getting a feeling we are seeing the new Sentinel, we are quickly blasting past the stretch goals so far, and it's only day two.
>>9879237I'm more of an updated look guy myself as you referenced with firefly and beach head, some looks are so iconic and pitch perfect like duke, destro, commander etc that they deserve to be in the line. As long as the characters theme shines through I don't mind a new design, I bought sigma 6 back in the day, but I agree that they could at least attempt to mix in some new takes. Of course the die hard g1 people would scream heresy.
>>9877713Hasbro better not pussy out and not include a 90s neon color scheme in the voting poll.

>>9878078> I’m hoping for another figureWe’ll most likely get a HISS Gunner figure. The tank has three seats in it and the Tactician can go in the back seat so a Gunner seems like a shoe in. I’m also hoping we get a Salvo figure. Might as well give us an anti-tank expert Joe to go with this.

>>9879835The marvel side clearly seems to be the favorite ATM. Both Sentinel and Galactus had solid extras.
>>9879796What would you change? The body armor was kinda weird but the were going with the explosive expert (fatman) angle. So for me, he still has all the basics of a infiltrator, just none of the ninja stuff that I didn't care for.

>>9879796I will be forever salty that classic Firefly comes in a rainbow of colors, but the v2 hasn't seen the light of day since 93. No repaints, no modern era, and probably no Classified.
>>9879952Probably just something more like the original figure, without the armor, but I don't know how many Firefly figures we're likely to get, and I'd like to see some alternate costumes like the 2nd Firefly, Destro and Storm Shadow figures, or the hooded Cobra Commander and blue and black early 90s Snake Eyes people keep asking for.
>>9879749People already accepted the design for the Classified version as close enough to the vintage style Hiss, so giving it "retro" parts wasn't necessary. It's ok, I'll accept the parts, but it's not a thrilling item.
>>9879796>>9880027Ninja Firefly was the version I had as a kid, so I'd be fine with them producing him.>>987938390's is my favorite era.
There's still three other areas we haven't seen anything for. There's some peg holes near the gun turret for something we haven't seen. We've also been told that the turret will be compatible with blast effects, and we've been told the tank will be able to tow something.
>>9880026A fool and their money...

>>9879891I know, with all the positive feedback and clear demand for this project, Hasbro will have no choice but to churn out more quality vehicles for the Classified line. Considering people were calling this a dead line before it even launched, for it to have released...and be releasing....so many figures and have such a run away success with it's first major vehicle is really encouraging as a fan of G.I. Joe. It's great to see Classified being such a popular line, especially when there was so much doubt about it before it even launched.
>>9880059I'm going to need to see an S.M.S. at the very least to consider backing. An ASP would actually go a long way to helping the price look better, but this is Hasbro and it's best to not get carried away.
>>9880102They have to make something for the Tank to tow, unless they're banking on doing a tank first and then doing the ASP as a separate vehicle? Perhaps as a smaller retail/fan channel item?
>11,045 Backers
>>9880167Place you bets for tier 3>blast effects>something to tow>retro missile racks >side turrets
I know it was a costly mistake to get into this line, but I saw this at Walmart and could not resist. Gonna try to just stick to cobra stuff to save myself a lot of money and room. Getting Cobra Commander from my dad's friend for under market value and I'm hyped as fuck.
I was going through some old shit I found in my parent's basement and there were a few old gijoe mail-in catalogues. Shit like this seems like a perfect fit for classified. Or those old Joe mini vehicles. I can't remember them perfectly but they were like towable gun emplacements and missile launchers. Shit they could sell for like $40 that would really round out the classified figures without having to make giant, 2 foot long vehicles.
>>9880193A couple of plastic rocks, some oil drums, and piece of debris resembling the front of an AWE Striker.
>>9880213Congrats anon. Troopers are always rare to find. People like to horde them up and army build the shit out of them.
What vehicle should be the next Haslab? The Joes need something to go up against the Hisstank.
Size comparison between the old 3.75 and the Classified version.
>>9880497That would be one of my first picks. It's tough; you want big enough for multiple figures, but not so big that it's 300 bones every time. I was a big fan of that Tiger Force airboat when I was a kid.
This seems like a plausible option.
>>9880563That could almost be a deluxe like they did with the Ram Cycle.
>>9880563But, obviously, that's more Cobra shit. Let's hope they don't just go straight Silverhawks. Not that it's a bad vehicle but we really need some in-the-dirt Joe ground force vehicles.
>>9880459I only plan on buying one of each troop for space concerns. The only figure I might buy a double or triple of is a basic Cobra troop if I'm ever lucky enough to see one twice
>>9880575Yeah man, I'd just be afraid that if it was the same budget, it would suck
Special Offer!
>>9879383>>9880047>coming soon: HasLab Septic Tank
>>9880688The Joe team did not rule out that they wouldn't repurpose or re-tool the Hiss Tank mold in a recent interview. They said they just wouldn't re-issue this specific version of it again outside of the Haslab. So once we have a Hiss Tank tooled, Hasbro can repaint and retool it into other things that probably will still cost around $300 and be sold thru fan channels.
>>9880688We can only hope. >"You'll have to step to the side for processing.">"Hey man, we're cool.">"Sorry, it's not my cal-
>>9880748>"ECO WARRIORS BITCH!"
>>9876915I pray they aren't. Last thing we need is Hasbro getting cute and making a bunch of major core characters $300+ hard to find figures.... AGAIN.
>>9880761>He's got that crazy look in his eye!
>>9880059I expect the pegs on the turret are for machine guns or smaller missiles but it would be cool if it was an enclosed dome instead.
>>9879667This is what I wanted and wasn’t going to back without but it really should have been an included option from the start. I hate that they include the most basic inclusions everyone wants as unlockables, it’s a trend they’ve been doing with many of these haslabs.
>>9880902Gah, where's those MECHASHARKS and Barracudas when you need them?
>>9880459I’m sorry, just print a picture of them at this point. That’s like $1k of figures just standing there like mannequins.
>>9857876So why do Haslabs make some people so angry?
>>9880497>What vehicle should be the next Haslab? The problem is that the HISS is about a medium-sized vehicle, so making that a $300 Haslab project means anything larger is probably completely off the table, and we're maxed out at things the size of the Snowcat or Thunder Machine as future possibilities.
>>9880748Although I doubt it'll happen, I hope Classified can get a few of the crazier subline figures like these. I'd kill for an Eco Warriors Sludge Viper and Toxo Viper.
>>9880563We're getting Kamakura, who was set up as a rival to Overlord in the Devil's Due comics, so this guy might be a possibility.
>>9880693What are the odds on a less-expensive general release version without the lights and all the extras?
>>9881143My off the beaten path figures have been psyche-out and Dee jay. I think a capt grid iron or hit and run or even a sneak peak would be more feasible though. It does seem like there are a few anons that would like a bit more imaginative or sci Fi type designs to go along with the standard classified figures. Air tight could slide right in with barbeque and alley viper, nice blend of fantasy and taticool.
>>9881191Maybe we'll actually get a Metalhead at retail.
They should include a hooded CC as one of the tiers. We all know they will never release him at retail and the backer count would skyrocket.
>>9879383>>9880748>>9880761>>9880688
>>9881195I like scrap iron more but yeah metal head fits the groove I'm thinking of.
>>988115250-50. Hasbro owns their own IP unlike the others so really this just shows demand to put out something bigger at retail or Fan Channel. TF HISS is Fan Channel. TF JP is Fan Channel. So strip out the electronics and some of the other stuff, there's a 50-50 chance.
>>9881213Scrap Iron is a classic dude but I would be lying if I said my heart didn't belong to Metalhead just for growing up with DiC Joe.
>>9881152Do you realise the outcry that would cause? People would be so pissed and that would cause future Haslabs to suffer because people should think "why back it now when I could just buy it later fit cheaper?"
>>9881246I think there is a high chance of them reusing this to release a hiss 3 and septic tank down the road in some fashion but yeah a straight up cheaper version will piss people off and is not a good precedent.
>>9881022The short of it is that people are generally pissed that items that should cost $150 in stores are instead marked up to $300 as a Kickstarter, because Hasbro has proved this is a viable model for them and they can skip the hassle of convincing Walmart to carry items like this.In addition, the tiers are supposed to be extra stuff to justify the price a bit. But for most HasLabs, it’s usually stuff that should have been included in the first place. I think the Sentinel was largely the best, in that even if zero tiers had been unlocked, we still would’ve gotten a complete toy. Vs. Rancor and Galactus , where an arguably crucial figure (Rancor keeper and silver surfer, respectively) are locked behind tiers.HISS Tank always included the driver thankfully, but stuff like tread covers and a cockpit hatch being tier unlocks feels a little stingy. But it is a vehicle so personally I’m not sure what else could have been the tiers. I guess more figures, but I have mixed feelings on that, since locking a figure people want behind a $300 Kickstarter is pretty lame. HasLabs as a whole are largely motivated by FOMO, another reason not to like them in general.
>>9881269To be fair there are multiple ML Silver Surfers so if we never unlocked him we'd still be able to get him.Compare that to the Rancor Keeper would has no options.
>>9881269Locking the HISS Driver troop builder behind the HasLab was dumb, They should have done Rip-It.
>>9881303>brought the Rancor Keeper out in time for the Rancor's deathIt's like poetry, it rhymes
I'd like to see some playsets for Classified. McFarlane can make this for $30 for a super niche market, so Hasbro has no excuse. It'd be cool to get a lab set for Mindbender or a throne room for Cobra Commander
Voting options for the Hiss Tactition
>>9881502>>9881504One of these two.
>>9881319I mean what use is a HISS driver without a HISS Tank?>>9881502>>9881504These for me
>>9881191Yeah, there's a lot more I'd like to see. I'd like to see some of the other colors for the Alley Viper. Particularly the black and yellow version, and the POC Maroon and black version. Would also like to see the Battle Corps Crimson Guard Commander. Want to see Night Creepers (hey, they did them in that cheap $10 line, why not Classified?) I'd be for Dee Jay too. Snow Serpents, and just about any and every Viper they're willing to do.
>>9881319There's nothing that says they can't re-release the mold outside of the Haslab. They did that with Yakface in the Sailbarge, since they were just giving you early access to a figure that wasn't out yet. They fucked up with the Rancor by packing it with figures that were already out. They could in theory allow the Hiss Driver to be army built at a later date, or re-release him as Rip It.
>>9881554They were popular enough to single card during 25th
>>9881502This is the best one. The all black and silver ones look bland. Blue and red look good but are too similar to the standard driver and rip-it. This guy stands out.
>>9881505Did they already explain what the other set of hands is supposed to be? HISS tactician also a boxer/mma fighter or something?
>>9881403Yeah I wish Hasbro would do these two but they seem content with doing cardboard dioramas. The AIM trooper 2 pack has a good lab setup if you're ever looking for one.
>>9881504I want this oneHe looks like he's a part of the Hiss team with his color scheme and all>>9881502This one while cool reminds me to much of a techno viper and I would rather just have a techno viper
>>9881713They said that are supposed to be strong and be able to fight if their tank ever breaks down, so they gave them some specialized gloves for hand to hand combat as a modern upgrade. It made me wonder if the hands might be re-used for other characters like Big Boa.
>>9881713YesThey said that hiss drivers are good at fighting hand to hand, I believe their exact words were fisticuffs because apparently that's what the vintage driver bio said
>>9881744I'd rather get this "almost" Techno Viper than the more likely scenario of us not getting a Techno Viper at all.
>>9881753>>9881756That's kinda cool, reminds me of the Ice Vipers and their sais
>>9881759I think technoviper is a highly likely scenario at some point in the futureThirsty gi Joe fans showed up only gave it 8 hours to show there was demand for a 300 dollar tankWhy do you think that it's unlikely we will get a technoviper? We got an alley viper so they are showing that the specialized types of viper is in the cards
>>9881494>>9881504One of these for me, I like the black as a baroness led team, and the red as more fitting with the HISS.>>9881505Wouldn't mind this as an officer under an eventual Rip It, but not as appealling as the others. Also, the swap out parts and Mancake made me remember that when they do a Tele-Viper, he needs to come with swap out lenses for a message or two.
>>9881817I suppose you're right. I had to look up when Techno Viper came out, and it turns out it released at least a year before the OG Alley Viper. I just think that over the years, Alley Viper has had dozens of different incarnations and repaints, whereas I feel like Techno Viper is pretty much associated with the one look. Alley Viper they could repaint countless times and would look like his various incarnations throughout the years.
>>9881756>HISS gets K-Killed by a Mauler or Dragonfly. It's fine, just box your way to what passes for Cobra's CSAR>>9879667Kek, what a fucking racket.
We're getting closer to the next unlock. We should be there by the end of the day:11,717 Backers
>>9881504 This one probably looks the best in the back of the tank under the red light. He'll get my vote.>>9881498 If those boots and gauntlets were chromed like sky patrol, this would actually be a cool option too. They'd just be dull silvery/grey though I'm sure.
>>9881502This one has my vote.
>>9881303I own the original Walgreens one, but he was incredibly hard to find for a lot of people, and he came out four years ago. The more recent one is technically an obsidian surfer, so I’d understand if someone didn’t consider that a true substitute. It’s better than nothing but still.
>>9881403I thought McFarlane was a privately owned company so he can do whatever he wants while Hasbro has investor cock to suck
>>9882122That's a very good point, I think Super7 and NECA are like that as well meaning they don't need to sweat the small stuff like Hasbro, Mattel and Playmates have too.
Roundtable discussion with the Hasbro teamhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFPeqCsYcRY
going into the long weekend I wonder if we'll have to wait til tues for the the 3rd tier reveal.
>>9882607We're less than 100 backers away from unlocking the current tier:11,905 Backers
>>9881863I wouldn't mind seeing them take another stab at this goofy repaint. Alongside/after the original of course.
>joefest last weekend>ppl reporting to have covid this week after goingShocker
>>9882575Are they going to confirm 33.99 as the new msrp for classified?
>>9882835Somebody should have asked. Some of them wasted their questions.
>>9882352And in Super7s case at least a lot of their stuff is made to order so something not sell well doesn't matter and doesn't risk killing a line
>>9881502>>9881504It's these two for me. The bright red just popping against the black works, the others are too desaturated though Purple/Black comes close.
>>9882012The fallen? Yeah, he's my substitute, just got quasar to go with him. Not a huge ml guy but I loved the space comics during the X-Men 90s.
>>9881580>There's nothing that says they can't re-release the mold outside of the Haslab. They did that with Yakface in the Sailbarge, since they were just giving you early access to a figure that wasn't out yet.Hopefully Marvel legends eventually do the same with Morg, Nova and Bastion, and as you say, at the very least they can release repaint versions of HISS Driver like Rip It or the HISS Commander.
>>9881863Of all the post-1986 Cobra troops, Techno Viper, SAW Viper, Night Viper and HEAT Viper feel like the ones most likely to follow Alley Viper and get Classified figures. For non-Cobras, the original Iron Grenadier is very likely.
>>9883257Oh man I'd dig an ig in classified but it has to have ig destro, I love that look. Of the vipers I think night viper would be the easiest to do but the idea of techno vipers is fun. Current backer count is 12,067, guess we will get an update on Tuesday.
>>9883257>>9883403I would get all of those.
>>9883403Classified looks like it's doing well enough that Hasbro have announced a lot of upcoming products, and Destro is one of the most popular villains, so much so that he was the FIRST Cobra released. Iron Grenadiers Destro feels inevitable. Aside from the regular Iron Grenadier, the IG troop I'd most want would be TARGAT.
>>9884342>Destro is one of the most popular villains, so much so that he was the FIRST Cobra releasedWhile Destro is popular Hasbro is really bad about dragging out figures people badly want into later waves, look at Lightning Collection, Legends and Black Series and seeing all the waves Classified is no different with high demand figures like Alley Viper, BAT, and Stalker, being teased since day 1 but just now rolling out over a year into the line, while lesser ones rolled out sooner like Red Ninja,"Arctic"Storm Shadow and Breaker. Again Destro is a big deal, easily seen as the Trinity of the names people think of with Cobra, but I don't think he was first picked because he was the highest demand, otherwise he would have been rebundled in more revision waves like they did with Cobra Commader (which imo was way to many, people like the guy, but not four wave revisions and two repaints worth) rather than just the two (the OG wave and then the refresher wave that put the ring on his head). There is also the fact the PD Destro is still reasonable to get two years later while Baby Blue CC from last year still sells out instantly and is always nearing or over $100 even after a 4th(5th?) re-release on pulse.I get this is nitpicking but Hasbro is so seedy with stuff I feel like it should always be pointed out when they pull this kind of crap.
Got my Cobra Officer in from Amazon and he has a dried string of the flesh paint going into his left eye which got on top of the face printing and ended up making him look like he has a weird cataracts, along with a random black streak at the corner of the eye. Kinda sucks but I'm going to see if I can scrape away that extra paint that's on his pupil and then just make it look like he got blinded in that eye.
