Jurassic World: Dominion is out, with more toys on the way
>>
My local Target had the SC Indominus and Giga at $30 each, plus a deal of buy 1 Jurassic toy get the other 50% off. Sadly I already have 2 Gigas and no need for another SC Indominus.

>Gee Dodgson, how come you get 2 Gigas?

I own all the Dominion Captivz except for Stiggy and Mosa. Metallic Giga, Red Pyroraptor, and Therizinosaurus are the best ones, alongside the two Atrociraptors. T rex is good too. I really love them. Thoughts?

To the anon who got his hands on the Hammon Collection T-rex, can it do the pose in pic related?
>>
>>9853785
Was Grant autistic? Got upset at child for calling velociraptor a "giant turkey" and went on a rant about their hunting patterns. Sees toddler playing with dinosaurs "wrong" and "um akctually's" the kid about herbavores vs carnivores.
>>

>No OC dinos this time, which means buzz for a Chaos Effect revival is dead
>Both the final boss dinos were wimps
>Dimetrodons suck
>Feather dino's insistent debut was cool but short
>Evil scientist villain just seemed lazy/careless the whole time and didn't own a gun for some reason, to the point where his "lackey" betrayed him without really doing anything or even being noticed by all the cameras
Overall, the movie was fine but they hid it very well that the creators wanted this arc to end
>>
>>9856434
>Both the final boss dinos were wimps

I thought salad fingers was kinda cool.
>>
>>9856520
i feel it got jobbed too easily. im also kinda bummed that Blue and Jr had such reduced screentime
>>
>>9856249
yeah, I'd say his characer is definitely meant to be a sperg
>>
>>9856528
Same about Blue. All dinosaurs really. I thought this movie would be about Earth being the Jurassic World now that dinosaurs roam free, but they don't even spend much time on that plot point.
>>
>>9856434
Can't wait for the sequel: Jurassic Space.
>>
The fucking locusts had more time than the goddamn dinosaurs.

Reminds me on this faggot childhood friend of mine i once invited to my home because he wanted to see my bearded dragon. He didnt care about the awesome spikey lizard but instead went full retarded about the fucking feeder crickets; how cooler they were then the Agama etc.

It seems he worked on this movie now. What an asshole.
>>
>>9853785
that looks pretty neat.
1:18 scale? Always wanted modern cowboy looking figure.

Yep.

I am salty as fuck that we're never going to get an Amber Collection Pyroraptor.
>>
>>9858375
>Please don't be right
Indominus had shit toys
Indoraptor was just a shitty design
All people want are the same generic museum dinos

so you bros aint excited about the HC rex? Its got clear eyes, yo!
>>
>>9860004
Well, I at least know that, even if it's least likely to happen a chaos effect revivial would by far be the most interesting thing you could do for a tv show or something now for JP.
>>
>>9856837
Because it's so stupid, the more you gloss it over, the better.
>>
>>9860550
Nah, a movie about people trying to survive in a world where dinosaurs are the norm would be great. When those little farmer kids are out and about, I thought "oh nice, dino attack incoming" but nope, it was mutant bugs instead. That is what was stupid.
>>
>>9860400
Dang, that is actually kinda pretty.
>>
>>9860860
I agree. I was hoping they'd expand on that scene where T Rex and the lion were roaring at each other, but now it's about giant locusts for some reason. Then it ends with now the dinos are acquainting themselves with the animals
>>9860510
I bet they'll still do mutations at some point, but they'll ruin it further by giving them generic color palettes. Man, i used to be cuh-razy about dinosaurs as a kid, but now i've outgrown them for some reason
>>
>>9861279
>I was hoping they'd expand on that scene where T Rex and the lion were roaring at each other,
That was a fake taken from some Discovery chanell show
>>

Funny because I never was a dino kid, but I LOVE dinos now.
Imagining these beasts were living on a same planet... Its amazing
>>
>>9853785
Dimetrodon isn't even a dinosaur. Immersion ruined

Was really skeptical about this one at first, but after watching a video of it in hand I think they did a damn good job.

There were only 15 minutes of actual dinosaur footage in the entire 120 minute runtime of the first Jurassic Park movie.

The Jurassic movies have always been less about dinosaurs and more about mankind's failure to respect natural boundaries in pursuit of science and profit.

Surprised no toy guys have tried even in customs to make toys off some of the more original films that were weirdly similar to Jurassic Park far before the novels were even made, such as Pic Relayed and “La Miete Ha Fatto L’Uovo” 1968
>>
>>9862751
That sounds good on paper and all, but in the moments the dinosaurs aren't on screen they still dominate the film; the tension of them, their presence. the locusts present a third factor that compete for time with the dinos. Its like if the first JP movie also had a subplot of clones of Abe Lincoln running rampant on the island from Hammond's failed president amusement park
>>
>>9862643
Stegosaurs are better. Cope seethe et cetera
>>
I'm iffy on the Hammond Rex. It looks great and all but I don't think it looks THAT much better than the legacy one. Those joints are destined to become loose as fugg too

>>
>>9864491
Thanks anon, wasn’t aware this was dropping yet. They had to grab it from the stockroom but I grabbed one as well

Is there a known release date list somewhere? All the Target listings just say check back on release date…
>>
>>9853785
>barely have any dinosaurs in your dinosaurs movie
Dominion fucking sucked massive triceratops shit. The dinosaurs felt like an afterthought, it was more preoccupied trying to be some globe trotting mission impossible crapola instead of being what it shouldve been, a fucking jurassic park movie.
>>
>>9863762

Does it scale well with the 7in. Neca King Kong? I've been waiting for a T. rex big enough to recreate the 1933 fight scene.

We need a Gate/Fence set for her to break out of. I feel like we'll get a Bull released around the time we see a legacy Mercedes or Trailer release.

Hammond collection playsets would be cool. Raptor paddock, modular fence sets, Visitor center, Worker village, etc.

Will the Hammond Collection delve into TLW raptors but with proper colors?
>>

This thing will show up in stores, right? It's not a preorder only thing, is it?

>>9867898
Geez, this looks nice. Blows the dinosaur toys I had as a kid out of the water.

They're going to do TLW Velociraptors for sure, hopefully they will be movie accurate.
>>

You ready for eBay?
>>
What are you guys wishes for hammond collection this fall? I'm guessing we'll get another wave of stuff for the christmas season.

Something like Giga, Pyroraptor, Carno, and Owen would be good.
>>
>>9871875
Allosaurus would be sweet to get. It’ll be even more articulated than the Dino Showdown figure from years back.

I could see Beta with less articulation than the regular raptor figure. Oh, and we’re obviously going to get a HC Blue repaint, and maybe even the other 3 raptor pack mates. Indominus might happen, too if Rexy sells well enough to prove the bigger carnivores are viable.
>>
>>9871875
Spinosaurus
>>
>>9871875
carno if they go with the fallen kingdom sculpt
>>9871982
I don't want them to do spino because they'll retool the sculpt that's already out and honestly it's not the best
>>
>>9871659
Well, I guess I'll just wait for a rerelease or repaint.
>>

I went to every target in my area and half had a price tag for it. It should be on a...idk what its called, and island prehapse? Its like an endcap to a shelf that they put the standee for whatever the newest thing is. Its not the jurassic one, but a new one with a range of new stuff like NE Beast man and a bunch of Beyblades or something lame. I dont know how, but i feel like it hasnt been put out yet. Something about the shelf, how "clean" it looked makes me think its not on the shelf yet. Im about to head to my golden goose target to test my theory. Ill report back.
