Jurassic World Dominion toys are now in stores, hope you've all had a good haul
kenner toys are shite
>>9758961That looks awesome.Captures the look of the t-rex from the movies perfectly
>>9758971>perfectly
>>9758970Hey, retard. Stop being a retard, retard
>>9759019What are you trying to say?
>>9759019much better than this yellow piece of shit
>>9759295is this essentially the same sculpt, but with additional articulation? anyone got links to the new rex where he is cheapest after shipping? cant find an amazon link
>>9759303Currently sold out everywhere. BBTS, T arget, and EE had him. Not sure about Amazon
>>9759303The yellow one I posted is the huge big one the really really giant oneBut the one op posted yes, is the same one as the smaller one from years agoAmazon has it for 44 bucks
>>9759303>>9759333https://www.amazon.com/Jurassic-World-Epic-Roarin-Tyrannosaurus/dp/B07Y5YCM2Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1NZGHLT1XKH8R&keywords=t+rex&qid=1651424836&sprefix=t+rex+%2Caps%2C306&sr=8-3
>>9758851>kenner toys were beautiful childhood toys but they objectively look bad now. Some of them are dated, but a bunch of them are more accurate to the Winston maquettes.
>>9759019This is what a company like Edel can do. Says everything.
>>9759019To be fair, while Kenner JP dinos had smaller feet they had less stability/balance. Larger feet (inaccurate as they are), keep these toys from falling over as easily (except SC Indominus for some weird reason).
>>9759393that's not the same figure...
>>9759408Ok this one is the onehttps://www.amazon.com/Jurassic-World-Thrash-Devour-Tyrannosaurus/dp/B09BW5HVX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=RYDFFCEMUQMV&keywords=jurassic+world+dominion+toys&qid=1651426124&sprefix=jurassic+%2Caps%2C620&sr=8-6
>>9759398Good luck getting that thing to stand on its own
>>9759419nope
>>9759398>>9759427Same thing happened to this. Head lead forward.
>>9759398>a "company"it's literally one guy making one off pieces out of his house who can't keep up with orders and is sending out broken stuff>>9759427good luck getting anything at all, the jurassic park toy group on facebook is full of people slamming him saying they ordered months ago and have heard nothing, or only got something after bothering him for months, or received a broken ($300) piece and havent heard back, or ordered a big dino and received a small dino, etc.
>>9758961Yo I took this picture! So weird seeing it randomly without me posting it
>>9759523
>>9758970Kenner did everything better, even their worst toys were miles ahead of anything Shittel has done
>>9759461>it's literally one guy making one off pieces out of his house who can't keep up with orders and is sending out broken stuffSo this proves my point even more. One guy was able to sculpt a Tyrannosaurus this accurate yet Mattel cannot. I'm gonna get the Mattel Tyrannosaurus cause it looks fun, but it by no means is accurate. Red is still the closest official figure of the JP Tyrannosaurus.>>9759458>Same thing happened to this. Head lead forward.Oversized head leaning forward is going to do that. Unfair comparison. Red and Thrasher have normal sized feet and don't fall over.
>>9759527What did he mean by this
>>9759597Amused face
I'm just glad we're finally get more posable dinos.
>>9758961why are the thighs so dark?
>>9759421They pulled out this render out of their ass considering they just reused the old Owen. I should ask them for a refund. Love my little homophobic toy thou
>>9759729Pantyhose
Wait, so if all of the dinosaurs spread around the world are all from the group that was taken from Nublar before the volcano blew, where do pyroraptor quetzalcoatlus etc come from? Did BioSyn make them? Did they let them loose?
>>9759773It's Jurassic park, turn your brain off and clap. Shit doesn't make sense at all.
>>9758961Is this retail? That looks really good except for the burnt legs and naked arms.
>>9759773I mean in the trailer I think Malcom said something about "we haven't only unleashed dinosaurs but also something about the genetics technology"On top of the Netflix kids show, which I doubt is Canon, but they find another company making dinosaurs, so it's possible something like that is happening
>>9759773>Did BioSyn make them?Yeah, I think that’s been established. Remember also that in JW Wu fled Nublar with DNA samples so it’s possible he’s now their head scientist and making more species that InGen never tried by trying to make the clones closer to the originals in appearance (hence why Pyroraptor is feathered).
>>9759800It's Tha Hammond collection
>>9759773Didn't the end of Fallen Kingdom imply other companies got access to the technology? I guess every dinosaur from every company all escaped, that sounds like an idea dumb enough for this movie.
>>9759773I can't find the picture right now, but there's a map of a Biosyn facility that shows different biomes and dinosaurs they have contained in them.
I'll get it if Monsterarts doesn't make one.
See now I want to know what caused BioSyn's gigantic dinosaur escape and if it was as stupid as a clone girl going "but they're just like me!"
>>9759295>>9758961calm down - both suck.Transformers made best articulated T-rex.>no clownfeet>perfect head>epic articulation>rubber-feel all over
>>9759869You'd complain about big feet but not about gapping everywhere? Hasdrone force is strong with you.
>>9759532post kenner collection
>>9758961This the hammond collection trex?
>>9759903Yes
>>9759880>gapping everywhere?gapping is nothing as long as 1) head/face is great2) hands/feet are goodGapping = sacrifice to an amazing articulation which i can take
>>9759948Clearly referencing the transformation panels, not articulation cuts. And the Hammond Rex is more articulated.
>>9759773None of it makes sense now and I doubt that'll change much after release. There's no way they can come up with a good reason why the government hasn't exterminated the released dinos with extreme prejudice, no matter what dumb hijinks biosyn is up to.
>>9759973PETA protested to save them
>>9759959>Hammond Rex is more articulated.anon from the event here. Hate to burst your bubble but its not. I watched them assembles the displays since i got there so early. The neck is a lot more limited than it looks, I have the transformer one right here on my desk It is far more posable than the hammond one will be. Hammond rex will be able to hit most "movie" reminiscent/iconic poses but thats about it. They almost had a difficult time posing the second one with the box inside the display because they wanted it to be more different than the other one but couldnt really figure it out with the time they had before everyone else made it downstairs.
>>9760049What it does have going for it is the superior paint, the awesome eyeball following effect thingy. The arms are articulated which really doesn't mean shit to be honest. And the bigger size obviously.also heres some more pics I took that night.
>>9760053
This guy was the only mattel team member there, one of the lead designers or someshit like that, didnt realize he was flipping everyone off trying to point at stuff on the toy lmaooo
last thing, I was talking to one of the even organizers at the end of the night when they were starting to herd people out and she asked if "want one of the toys?" and i was like wtf bet your ass I do, turns out some mattel rep already gave away everything but the rex's (they couldnt give those away) and the kitchen encounter set so I took it. Saw who took the unreleased sarah harding pack, it was a fucking legitimate downie kid with his mom and dad who were there with media badges. pissed me off but whateverSaw who took the unreleased
>>9760078whoops, phoneposting ignore the formatting shit
>>9760078>Saw who took the unreleased sarah harding pack, it was a fucking legitimate downie kid with his mom and dad who were there with media badges. pissed me off but whatevertouch grass
>>9759973Hell, my issue at the end of FK is that there weren't even enough breeding pairs for these loose dinos to suddenly create a nuisance population and most of them would be relatively easy to find and capture, with only the compies having the potential to be small and numerous enough to become a problem. But apparently Dominion decided that the answer to that was parthenogenesis! Apparently Henry Wu, well known for understanding the need to control unauthorized breeding among his genetically created animals, decided that the solution to the problem of frog DNA causing dinosaurs to spontaneously change sexes was to instead use the DNA of lizards that can just spontaneously reproduce! Also apparently the authorities are too retarded to kill a fucking T-Rex that's been rampaging across the west coast unchecked for four fucking years.
>>9760242the dinosaurs aren't even the problem, it's the humans playing with genetic power and making their own shit all around the world.
>>9760242Yeah Blue just having a baby for no reason is pretty retarded
>>9760255At least it's (probably) just the one and not like 1998 'Zilla who mass produces them by the hundreds in a matter of days.
>>9760078be careful what you say, I know who you are.
>>9760259i know i know, got worked up over toys, obviously im not that shit of a human, just gotta act it up for 4chan you know. In the end toys are for kids.
>>9760263>just gotta act it up for 4chan you know. You literally don't
>>9760078Let the downie kid have his toy anon. Don't be a jealous bitch about it.
>Dodgson just creating new dinos and releasing them out into the world as revenge for Nedry using his name in publicWe tried to tell him "sir Nedry's been dead for nearly 30 years" and he'd just ignore us and say "Oh I'll get that Nedry, I'll get him but good!"
>>9760275it was a bad joke, wasn't trying to come off that strongly, unfortunately did though, glad he got it over some other neckbeard like me, will probably get a lot more mileage out of it.
>>9760049fuk, it looks like she's wearing dino slippers, those feet are yuge
>>9760517>those feet are yugeThey really are. Its off-putting once you notice it
>>9760049>They almost had a difficult time posingwe can tell, those retards posed his legs straight instead of picrel
>>9760520oh thats adding to the look of thecomicly big feet. They skip using the bottom joints and just bend at the feet and it makes the legs look really skinny. The feet are still big but that doesn't help
>>9758961amber :(
>>9760556a 6 inch scale rex would've binned hard
>>9760539Yep, what you said
>>9760520why are the teeth so round on a collectors item?
>>9760593>toys are for childrencuz every parent buys their little sticky handed gremlin the $50 price tag black box dinosaur on the shelf as opposed to the $20 to $40 brigthly colored one with multiple play features listed right on front of the packaging and is clearly more child friendly
>>9760593jesus, those are the worst yet. Fucking tic tacs.
>>9760263>just gotta act it up for 4chan you know>I need to pretend i'm a raging autist so people on 4chan like meHey retard, quit being a retard, retard.
>>9760556sucked
>>9760593So it doesn't bite your dick off
>>9760916wat?
>>9760067Lol i also point with my middle finger so does my dad it's a genetic thing i quess. I also type this with my middle finger
JP bros, Tyrannosaurus Rex Escape Pack is on sale 50% off, for $25.00 at Target today only! I picked up two for 50 bucks! Bring em up to the front and ask for the discount for them to honor it because the price scanners don't.
>>9761377God bless you bro
>>9760067>"Hey buddy, I gotcher t-rex right here!"
>>9758961why did bbts take down the listing for this new rex?
got bary and para at local Target. Im really excited for this line these are great besides some slightly big feet.
>>9761584Early exclusivity for Target, probably.
>>9761759They're great toys anon, the Velociraptors are definitely worth picking up too. I have three personally and I may pick up more.
>>9761929I have three too and they all close their mouth differently lol. Still love ‘em though, they look so mischievous from the front
>>9761377Bought one, thanks. I'm going to sell the Rex on eBay because I have the Amber one on the way
>>9761929I have 2 Raptors too and im hesitant to get more just incase they do what they did with the Amber Collection and release Blue and the other variations.
>>9759393>>9759419The OP one is the Hammond Collection>>9760957So it doesn't bite your dick off
>>9762002I bought two because that's how many are usually on-screen in the first movie. There were technically three but we only ever see two of them at a time.
>>9761991You can always have a rex family you know.
>>9762002>incase Oh they’re 100% coming. These jp1 raptors are already primed to be repainted, if you look at the osteoderms on their heads. Only JW raptors have that.
>>9762034True, good point. This one could be an almost full grown adult. I've never liked the Legacy Rex because the scaling is fucked, but with that mindset I just might keep it. Thanks friend
>>9761759Does the lack of ankles hurt it?
>>9762063Not really, though I wish it had wrists so it could go on all fours
>>9761446>God bless you bro>>9761991>Bought one, thanks. No prob>I'm going to sell the Rex on eBay because I have the Amber one on the wayLike >>9762034 said you might as well hang onto it. I've got a Legacy, Battle Damaged and 4 Escape Set Tyrannosaurs. I may build a paddock for them. No reason Tyrannosaurus can't have herds.
Anyone else buying Hammond collection but skipping the humans? They're so shit compared to the dinos
>>9762498For me it's more of an issue of space. I can have a few, but even that's pushing it. I hate having too many figures around autistically enough
>>9762530It'll depend. As it is most of the humans don't really need Hammond Collection levels of articulation and the Legacy figures are fine, I'm not really impressed with the Malcolm figure but I'll wait to see how the others turn out. I might go for Muldoon if he looks good since he actually does need articulated wrists to hold his rifle properly.
>>9762530I've no particular fondness for JP or JW, so yep, just dinos for me.
>>9762537Malcolm simply has the most boring design out of the original trio. Ellie and Alan will probably be must buys for me.
>>9762530All I want is a good first Jurassic World Owen
>>9760067What's that T-rex he's holding?
>>9763097Hammond Collection T-rex
>>9760078Tim kind of looks like a puppet.
I'm about to make a bid on this since I don't have talent at repainting stuff. I hope Rexy dies in JW:D so we get a new, younger Rex to take over.
>>9763373>that tailwhat the fuck
Therizinosaurus kick ass
>>9763689I just wish his head/mouth weren't a gimmick and could just pose it
>>9763373If Rexy dies it’ll be AFTER Giga loses in their rematch.
>>9764035Just wait, it'll get a Hammond Collection in a year or so.
>>9763373>I hope Rexy dies in JW:D so we get a new, younger Rex to take over.
>>9764097I mean, it happened in the novel.
>>9764051Grant will be there, his hand on her snout, looking in her eyes.>You can rest now, Rexy.
>>9764342>Grant will be there, his hand on her snout, looking in her eyes.>>You can rest now, Rexy.
anyone know release date for the Sarah Harding stego pack?
>>9763373>Rexy and Giga fight>Showdown 65 million years in the making>Rexy at first has the upperhand, but Giga overpowers her and downs Rexy just like their originals did>Rexy looks like she's done for good yet again.>Pottery>Giga will then pursue the humans and corner them.>Giga is about to eat them, but then Rexy will lunge out of nowhere and finish the fight.>Rexy kills Giga>Rexy will give one final triumphant roar before slumping to the ground and dying from her injuries.>Rexy inadvertently saves the humans one last time>Cue JP theme in somber, slow, minor key
>>9764097She never has looked the same as she did in JP so who cares, there’s zero attachment to the JW Rex.
>>9764407Nope. Even the Target page for it doesn't give a date.
>>9764355Jurassic World is capeshit
>>9760049How do you mess up a toy this bad?
>>9764116>I mean, it happened in the novel.>>9764452>She never has looked the same as she did in JP so who cares, there’s zero attachment to the JW Rex.>>9764477>Jurassic World is capeshit
>>9764546sorry, retard. deal with it
>>9764436You forgot the smartass comment from Malcolm.
>>9764452Agreed, they also never say in the movie itself it’s the same animal. Fraudlin Trevorrow saying it is doesn’t count
>>9764667I dunno, the scars make it pretty obvious it's meant to be the same one, otherwise this second rex just coincidentally got into a fight with a bunch of raptors who cut her in the same way as the first.Though honestly it's not like it matters. This being the same rex as the original movie doesn't really make much of a difference, even if she was interacting with characters that recognized her what are they going to go, have Grant go "wow is that the same one? small world" ?
http://thegalleryofmonstertoys.com/
>>9764667Didn’t the tour guide in JW say that she was a ‘veteran’ from the original park and over 20yrs old? Unless she’s Doe from Isla Sorna or one of Buck and her daughters it’s kinda obvious.
>>9764679They simply cannot expect people to care if she dies, because even with two whole ass movies in the can the majority of people still have no idea she’s supposed to be Rexy
>>9758961Are there any 1/12 scale dinos with this level of articulation?
>>9765319Why do you want dinosaurs in the worst scale imaginable?
>>9765319Not of a Rex. Amber Collection (which appears to be dead) has some JP style dinos in 1/12.
>>9765319Isn't the BOTM line in two scales, one in 1/18 and one in 1/12 scale?
>>97655521/6, 1/35, and 1/18.
>>9765319Not anymore, lol.
>>9765552I have all the Amber Collection 1/12 Raptors. They take up alot of room to pose them all so I dont have them out but I really like them.
>>9766237I’m planning to get a raptor but am wondering if the bendable tail is going to get sticky in a year or two due to the material.
So that Beta that comes with Owen seems way oversized, but would she be about the right size to go with Amber Collection Blue?
>>9766245Mine are ok so far but it does feel like that kind of rubber. They are almost 2 years old by now. They do tear easy so I dont bend them at all.
So the hammond rex is kind of a hybrid between thrash'n'throw, and extreme chompin, but with articulation in the legs/feet?does anyone know if it's going to be 1:18 scale?I wonder how it'll stack up compared to the BoTM rex
>>9766512The line is roughly 1/18, so yes. Based on the listed dimensions, it'll be a bit smaller than the BOTM Rex.
Hammond Collection Grant coming July
This guys rather ugly probably gonna skip
This is what I was waiting for but it looks a little small not gonna lie
>>9766859more for me I like how goofy this line looks they grow on you.
>>9766861It can be a female for my BoM 1/18 Trike or a sub adult
Whats with the godawful colors? Biosyn going nuts just cuz??
>>9766861any other pics of this?
>>9766899Nah this is the only one
>>9766867Now if only they’d do an Allosaurus…Though the new bigger one with the roaring feature and side-panel to expose the ribs is pretty nice on its own.
>>9766867I bought every single figure in the Amber Collection line except for the repaints. At some point I'm going to have to realize I'm a 30 year old man who does not want or need every dinosaur from the entire jurassic franchise sitting around his house and draw a line.I think this is that line.
>>9766888I love them. They look wild.
Beta abuse action playset!
>>9767151>>comeswitheverythingyouseeheretermsandconditionsapplyanimalethicsdonotapply
>>9767151is that the same shit as action fleet star wars?
>>9767161no it's a playset/holding/pen/ for the baby raptor figure (this will be it's 3rd use I guess)
>>9766861Jurassic park Triceratops, not a JW clone
>>9767151>>9767158What's the official name of this set?
>>9766888CHAOS!
>>9766867I love this. For those who don't like it, what makes you dislike it?
>>9767158Depending on how much this costs I might buy several of these.
>>9767158>animalethicsdonotapplyWu approved!
>tfw the new toy looks more like the actual liopleurodon then whatever the fuck JWE did with it
>>9767151peta is going to be upset
>>9767926Bottom looks happy to be here
>>9767926Now all we need is a smaller Eustreptospondylus figure to go with it.
>>9767558>NEW DINO>generic T-rex remold
>>9765532To go with my 1/12 human figures
>>9766855Okay so he's got a non-hat head, a flare, the extra hand with the raptor claw, but what's with the white hand and the little raptor?
>>9768034It's the baby raptor and the glove he puts on. He should have two if you want to be accurate, but the baby raptor looks like a little statue, like he's Indiana Jones swiping a raptor fertility idol.
Also Siamosaurus has been confirmed and I'm just like. Why? Literally the only fucking thing we can confidently say belongs to it (and even that's currently under doubt) is a bunch of teeth.
>>9768056How do they even know it's a spinosaur?
>>9768071Apparently the teeth were similar to Baryonyx's teeth and overall they seem rather distinct. All conical and pointy for snatching fish then the slicing of carcharodontosaurs or the crushing of tyrannosaurs. There were also apparently spinosaur remains found near the original site of the fossils in later years that could possibly be Siamosaurus, if not just another seperate spinosaur.
>>9768056the actual answer is that spinosaurus is extremely stupidly popular so theyre going to make something that looks vaguely like a spinosaurus cause parents/kids wont know the difference and will buy it
>>9768056>>9768083I'm gonna laugh if this turns out to be a deinocheirus situation where a more complete skeleton is found it turns out to be some weird Jar Jar Binks dinosaur
>>9768056Honestly that looks like a bad Chap Mei toy
whats going to happen to this line after dominion? I dont think theres another movie planned for a very very long time if any so are they just gonna keep cranking out dinos for a while or do you think the line will die out soon
>>9767964But it's smaller than the Rex. That's like saying Grant is the same as Malcolm cause they're both humans.
>>9768117Will die out. After JP3 nobody was searching anymore for toys. Hasbro brought out repaints and until 2013 we had ok toys. But a lot of people did not even buy the showdown sets. Its because of JW a lot of people got interested again. But we need a movie to sell.
>>9768039kek.
>>9758961what one is this and where can i get it
>>9766888>>9768056>More spinosauridaeSweet
>>9768117>>9768205Hell, look at what the line turned into between movies. Yes, the pandemic forced Mattel to tread water and try to stretch the line out even further but the majority of what we got were uninspired repaints. After Dominion the line's probably going to be more of that before it finally just dies quietly.
>>9768117Tv series.
Dominion Thrash 'n Devour or Epic Roar'in Tyrannosaurus Rex. Any opinions on which is superior? I thought the later but this new one looks pretty damn good
>>5ft
>>9769004da nec
>>9769005long boyz we goin' homes
>>9769005Is that Dreadnaughtus? Fucking A! The neck has both the articulations of Brachi and Apato too.
>>9769004>>9769005>>9769006It looks cool. Wonder if we'll get Mamenchiasaurus.
>>9768056With a little trimming of the tail spines this could pass for a Mattel Arizonasaurus.
>>9760049
>>9769006Does it have a cloaca?
>>9768117Be nice if we got another chaos effect line or something along the lines
>>9769438Hasbro tried by retooling a lot of their already horrible dino figures. Only decent one was the large electronic indominus that had spikes that shot out its back. That thing goes for crazy prices now when it retailed for like $37usd.
>>9769170
>>9767926It's a good representation of marine crocodylomorphs, but totally inaccurate Liopleurodon/pliosaur. They really insist upon a particular style. >>9769004>>9769005>>9769006Cool!
>>9768117Dead franchise
>>9768117>I dont think theres another movie planned for a very very long time You thought wrong
>>9769911>Dead franchiseThey're gonna need something to keep interest in the humans and vehicles. The dinosaurs could keep selling because they're dinosaurs of course, mostly as repaints though probably.
>>9758961Does it have sound?
>>9770887No, it's going to be a fully articulated figure in the same manner as the Amber Collection.
>>9761377>>9762498>>9762533Will they lower it again? I missed out. I could cry for not checking sooner. Why did they lower it to 50% off? Why so much?
>>9771894>Will they lower it again? I missed out. I could cry for not checking sooner. Why did they lower it to 50% off? Why so much? It's possible they may lower it again. Sorry you missed out anon. They were probably trying to sell off the rest of the sets they had to make room for new stuff. If a store still has one maybe, you can check if you can still get the deal?
>>9771995my store had like 3. the price scanner said $49how did you know there was a discount and how do you ask?how did you find out?i am afraid of asking and sounding crazy lol. why was it one day only?
Hammond Collection stuff has started showing up on EU sites.
>>9772013I'm subbed to collectjurassic on YouTube. At work I saw an update from him on my feed with a link to the Target website showing, Tyrannosaur Escape Sets were 50% off. So, after work I went to Target, picked up two sets, went to the register and asked the guy to check if they were actually half price based off that info on the Target website. He asked me for a confirmation, and I showed him my phone that had the deal listed on Targets website at the time and he honored my request based on that. I don't know if they would still see that deal as valid, but you could always ask an employee about it and maybe they would let you do it considering it was probably a move to shift out product for new inventory? You might have to confirm for them that the deal was a thing. I'm not saying it will work but might as well try right? Good luck.
>>9772063Okay so the website showed it. Fuck. I checked and is at 49. Thank you. I'll keep checking
>>9766855Awww fuck, it's Event Horizon time.
>>9772019why is Ian cheaper than Grant? lol
>>9772223Grant comes with more stuff.
>>9772267Ok. Fine our European fans get their stuff also
>>9772013It was a one day online online purchase only exclusive. I ordered through my phone and picked it up in store. There's a chance it'll go clearance relatively soon, but it's a legacy set so hard to know when.
>Bought the Amber collection Dilophosaurus back in summer of 2020 for $45usd>posed it, and left it as-is>decided to see how much another goes for to use as a base for a custom 1/12 Coelophysis>eBay sold listings have it selling in the past three months for over $100usd w/o boxShould I hold out for hype of Dominion being in theatres to drive up prices and sell it? What are the chances Mattel will revive the Amber collection again?
>>9772486Just hold on to your Dilophosaurus. Real fans will always be searching for it.
>>9772486I never picked up the dilo and I regret it. It was on Amazon for awhile below retail and I slept on it. At least I got every variation of the Raptors.
>>9759805Camp Cretaceous is canon.

>>9772591so the new upcoming articulated t-rex with a clear orange part for eyes is hammond collection t-rex and would be around the same size as the chomping t-rex from the first wave. Amber collection last stops at the raptor and dilo? I’m only rediscovering amber collection because I’m not in the US but I do want articulated 1/12 Jurassic Park dinos.
>>9774128>would be around the same size as the chomping t-rex from the first waveNot if it's 24" long as advertised. I think it'll be closer in size to the electronic Rexes they do.
>>9774087It's not especially accurate to the in universe design, but Ceratosaurus in real life did have very large teeth.
>>9774394>but Ceratosaurus in real life did have very large teeth.not really
>>9774410Might depend on the individual or their growth stages, since a lot of the skulls I've seen are from juveniles. But it's pretty popular to reconstruct them with long teeth.
>>9774460i was wrong, sorry mate
Sitting here for days waiting for some more pictures of the Hammond collection triceratops.
Playing with this made me feel like I was playing with the TLW bull rex again.
>>9774128>so the new upcoming articulated t-rex with a clear orange part for eyes is hammond collection t-rex and would be around the same size as the chomping t-rex from the first wave. LEAVE CERATO ALONE
>>9775205Ceratosaurus really is just a punching bag
>>9775388I haven’t seen any of the Camp Cretaceous series, but I only remember cerato just having a ‘ew’ look in Jp3 looking at the humans digging into the Spino shit to get the satellite phone. I thought it was Carno who keeps getting bullied?
>>9759805This is the age of cinematic universes, of course the show is canon.
>>9760067Haha
>>9773556Still ruined by its lifeless black eyes
>>9776201Agreed
>>9774508why one picture though? and other dinosaurs have multiple pictures. hope they don't cancel the damn trike again :-/
>>9775798I'm pretty sure there's a Ceratosaurus that gets fucked by Scorpios Rex in the later seasons but Cerato's largely a punching bag in actual documentaries more then JP itself. Usually to make ye olde Allosaurus look better.
>>9775958Though it's probably one-way canon like Agents of SHIELD or the Netflix shows where they references the movies but not vice versa
I can post proofs but I got a bunch of Captivz eggs and I got the metallic Giga, the red Pyroraptor, and a bunch of others. The Atrociraptors, Giga, Pyro, and Therizinosaurus are really good figures. Does anyone know what I'm talking about/are you impressed with my luck?
>>9776979Ah, I see. Yeah, I knew about Allos preying on them based on fossil evidence. But Carno gets jobbed by Rexy twice in JW, so that was why I thought they were confusing Cerato with Carno.
where are you guys more excided for: the new movie or the toys?
>>9779064I’d say the toys but not by a huge margin. I am looking forward to the movie, but more for basic entertainment as a monster/action movie. I love the Jurassic franchise for the dinosaurs and any new concepts that get thrown in here and there (even the one-off ideas like the JP3 raptor clan). I know Giga is gonna die at the end either by Rexy or a deus ex machina like Mosasaurus taking out Indominus in JW, but I still want to see the mindless carnage nonetheless because Giganotosaurus is one of my favorite theropods. I’m interested in seeing how the Hammond Collection Rexy turns out, and if it seems like it’s worth it I’ll be sure to grab it. If Giga gets the HC treatment then that’s definite buy.
>>9779064The toys, definitely. This series has jumped the shark, and I just can't get into it anymore. Dinosaurs are cool, but I won't subject myself to this garbage just to see something 'close enough' flash across the screen; I'll get my fix when Prehistoric Planet comes out.
>>9779085>>9779064>>9779394fallen kingdom was incompetent writing garbage, but i have a very tiny bit of hope that the new one is good
If Dominion can avoid sinking to the retarded level of "I'm gonna murder this old man who was dumb enough to try to get me to call the cops on myself" I'll consider it a smashing success
>>9779064Toys, movie looks even more retarded than FK. They can't trick me by bringing Grant back.
>>9779064movie has pozzed woke diversity so fuck that
>>9779064Toys easily. The new movies are meh at best. Though Dominion looks more promising than the train wreck that was Fallen Kingdom.>>9779406>fallen kingdom was incompetent writing garbage, but i have a very tiny bit of hope that the new one is goodagreed>>9779555>movie has pozzed woke diversity so fuck thatI'm willing to give it a chance but I agree.

First attempt at painting. Criticism/tips?
>>9784115upside-down picture aside, the stripe along the side and the big shoulder spike look pretty good, some of the back spikes could use more paint. Some toenail paint wouldn't hurtBlack with a stripe down the length of the body brings indoraptor to mind

Pre order... does that mean Mattel is still making Amber collection?
>>9784387Pre order where?
>>9784503eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224530749008?hash=item3447135650:g:skwAAw2a1OSweIdhCYZB
>>9784248>>9784251>outpost>its just the fence and gateI feel sorry for kids today, companies are too afraid to do bigger playsets. The old command compound was one of my favorite toys.
>>9779555
>>9784248Pyroraptor looks like he's waiting to be patted on the head
>>9784248>that neck
>>9774087I wish Mattel would make the tteth as a separate rubber piece so they could be sharp and no color chip. This and the unpainted claws are this line biggest flaws.
>>9787136*teeth
>>9787059IT'S HERR TURN!!!
>>9783237In this context it's basically dudes REEEEEing over Franklin. His presence alone has convinced them that Jurassic World is now a white genocide propaganda vehicle.
>>9787338Franklin was really just the Jar Jar Binks of the Jurassic movies. Has one decent moment where he’s useful, but otherwise there for mildly comedic value. Are he and/or the paleo-vet girl slated to return for Dominion at all?
>>9787550yes
>>9787550Don't disrespect Jar Jar like that. Idgaf about his race but jesus fuck was that character like nails on a chalkboard.
>>9784897It's modular, you doofus.
>>9788125That's still pretty cool. A stripped down, modern equivalent of the Command Compound, but still pretty cool.
>>9788125Ah, adopting the Hasbro strategy of "buy 2-3 to get the actual toy." And there's still no main building either way.
>>9778235Post pics
I saw the screaming therizino today, it's pretty cool! If it goes on any sort of sale I might pick it up just because it's an impossibly obscure dino to get an articulated figure of.
>>9789004I wish the sound trigger wasn't so sensitive. If you move the torso even a little it screams regardless of whether you pushed the action button. Thing screamed the entire time I carried it to the checkout, once I got home I took the batteries out.
>>9784248>>9784251>>9788125I'm not a JP collector so forgive me, but is this 1:18 scale?
Anyone know if the Captivz eggs have codes on em?It's too steep a price to take a gamble of getting a few and possibly risking doublesI know the Minis got codes
>>9789781Yeah, everything in Mattel's lineup is now 1:18
>>9790198Thanks bud. Always looking for more playsets to add to my setups.
>>9790198But the larger figures or really midsized figures are closer to 1/20th or even 1/35th like Carchardontosaurus and
>>9791158>small ass trikeGoddammit. At least this time the sculpt seems to actually be based on JP1 and not JW, unlike the gallimimus.
>>9791177I dunno, seems to be about the right size for the one in the movie
>>9791177Could be slightly bigger, maybe 5%. I'm thinking of the scene where Grant is leaning on her and this isn't *too* far off. That Rex is begging for a TLW Buck paintjob, though.
>>9774508It was a long wait, but here are some pictures. Nice it has the JP style sculpt.
No jaw articulation? Seems kind of an odd omission.
>>9791692No.
>>9791692There probably will be, right? If I recall from that original video jaw articulation was something they said all dinos would have. Or am I misremembering that from those Boss Fight dinosaurs? It looks pretty good, but I'll probably be good to skip this one. Maybe once we see it in hand and in motion I'll change my mind. Makes me excited to see more quadrupeds though, like Ankylosaurus.
>>9791692Especially when it's mouth was open for a lot of that scene and where Sattler gets her sample
>>ywn rest on the belly of a Triceratops
>>aaah help me Tyrannosaurus
>>9792357I think the Ceratosaurus is my fav of all the ones shown so far.
>>9792243If it did have any, surely they'd show it off in the promo pics?>AnkylosaurusI'd be super down for a JP3 anky, but there's no way Mattel wouldn't just make a JW one and paint it in JP3 colours.
>>9791177>>9792354Looks good but it does seem a bit small.
>>9791158Is it just me or has every image of the rex paint scheme been completely different?
>>9792648That always happens with Mattel's stuff. The in-box photo usually has the finalized paint scheme.
>>9792354I like how the trike is all "hold up what is he doing"
>>9793058>>eeeeeeeey, I'm sleepin' here!
Is the neck and head joint a little loose feeling on anyone else's Hammond baryonyx?
I'm glad the trike has not middle articulation in the final product
>>9794520I disagree. From the 3D sculpt it looks clean and would probably offer decent movement. When I think of herbivorous dinosaurs that assume a defensive position (assuming they don't have a hard shell or carapace of some kind that would disallow this) I imagine them curved at the midsection with the head reared a bit and the tail curled. That said, this doesn't really apply to triceratops, more to ankylosaurus or stegosaurus, but nonetheless I wouldn't ever really complain about more articulation. All that aside, if the shoulders can actually curve in that deeply (and likely outwardly as well) that would be a great thing. And for trike in particular it'd be nice if it could lower its head and have its arms bent down in a defensive posture.
>>9792360I think I agree, but my goodness its leg there, haha.
>>9794543It breaks up the sculpt. That's why i dont like too much articulation especially in the mid section... jikes. That's why i like the Camp Cretaceous Epic Roarin' T.Rex so much
>>9794701Sure, but then why would you want articulation to begin with? The entire point of articulation is to allow the figure to move in ways that ideally reflect what its representing can/could actually do. This will, and always does break up the sculpt. Unless you think Trike's have cuts on their tails, disks in their elbows and wrists, etc.
>>9794543100% needs that belly articulation point. Keeps the figure from being as boxy and having floating parts when lying down. I don't know wtf that other guy is on about. These are figures; not limited articulation statues.
>>9794897Lol same guy pretending to be one guy. Sad guy. Look at the TLW Kenner Trike, standard in attack pose shows it's character immediately, dino damage, perfect sculpt. You don't need more with a trike. Oh and it's indeed way too small what ruined it immediately. This was the last chance to get a decent sized Trike and Mattel blew it. Last movie, no other chance. By fans for fans, my ass. How many times did we say we want a Trike in the size of a fucking Stego.
>>9794897I know it's an action figure and articulation is typical for an action figure. But articulation in the mid section does not look nice, it's an eye sore. Same with the awesome Spinosaurus from Edel, jikes. Would have been perfect but ruined by the articulation what continued throughout the sail.
>>9794938>Lol same guy pretending to be one guy. Sad guy.First off, this doesn't even make sense.
>>9795014pretending to be someone else that agrees with you, against me. replying on your own comment to get fake support. thats what i meant. thats sad. glad Mattel saw the eye sore and skipped the ugly mid articulation.
Haha this is great :-D
