Got 4 in at once so I've been only opening one a day. First was Havok, then White Noise, and now Gunpowder. Tomorrow is Rusty Piece.They are of course all excellent. Gunpowder's transformation was a bit finicky at first, but I've got it down now.What always blows me away about these is like if this thing didn't do anything but be this exact mecha wasp it still be a great toy. But that it's so posable and looks great AND turns into a tidy little cube just for fun? Awesome. Love these guys.

How's the clear plastic on these guys? Not too brittle is it?

Aside from some loose joints that tend to pop up on mold reuses like repaints, the whole line has been surprisingly sturdy. There are also a wide variety of clear plastic types, all with different feels, weights, and strengths. I have some clear plastic toys that would shatter if breathed on wrong, and some that I would feel comfortable dropping off my balcony and know they'd survive.Beastbox clear plastic thus far feels exceptionally strong to me. I have many clear molds and I haven't been particularly careful with them, and none of them have shown any signs of looseness, stress marks, or breakage. I wouldn't drop them off a balcony, they're still quite hard plastic after all, but I don't think you'll have a problem with normal transformation and play.

The Styrene resin does start out clear but the addition of the Acrylonitrile Butadiene (the AB-) component causes it to turn opaque. Because of this opacity the toy industry switched to either plain Styrene (cheaper) or Polycarbonate (tougher than ABS) for clear plastic parts. During the late-2000s a transparent version of ABS was invented called MABS, but it has slightly weaker mechanical properties. Hasbro, TakaraTomy and other companies switched to using it around early-2010s and that's when all the clear plastic scares happened. Since then though, MABS blends have been improved and designers know how to work with it better. So yeah it shouldn't be that much of an issue unless the you're hamhanding the toy bad.

I received the octopus two weeks back but it came with a wrong joint part on one of the tentacles, preventing it from folding into a box properly. See if you can tell which is the bum tentacle.Thankfully I ordered it from the BB tmall so it was easy enough to get the correct replacement leg and it came in the mail today. I can't imagine the telephone-hell it would be going through other sellers when 6 out of 8 legs are unique.

They're at war with each other and work alongside humans who run maintenance on them and handle repairs/upgrades (and who are apparently responsible for creating the first of them, Ghost D09 and D10 - but Elephinx appears to predate both of them somehow). The Beast Boxes themselves are the primary fighters, acting as soldiers, scouts, and (in the case of Vaporwave and Blossom) spies; Whitenoise is a non-combatant who treats PTSD in other Beast Boxes via sound therapy. As for why they turn into boxes - it's to fit into their 'Box Chargers', the boxes most of them come packed with, which act like a combination of giant charging ports and Beast Wars' CR Chambers (a machine that can do quick emergency repairs or patch-ups. Anything more serious requires human intervention). Also, they're supposed to be BIG - there's a reason a lot of them have seats and hatches that look like they're intended for humans to ride along in, and why Bloodstone is seen on his bio card as being almost as tall as the skyscrapers around him.Tldr; they're basically man-made Zoids that are at war (no idea who's on whose side) and who fold up to recharge and repair themselves. We get a little more info with every bio card that gets released, but as vague as things are at the moment, there's clearly some worldbuilding going on in the background.

This isn't Hasbro, who skimps on their plastic quality to pinch pennies - whatever these guys are using, it's pretty sturdy. As for terminus Delta himself, he looks incredible - clear white plastic layered on top of clear red looks amazing in-hand. Get him - you won't get a second chance when he's gone, since this is the last time the mold is being used before he's retired. there's a Jojo in the same color scheme coming up, too, for the same reason.

After fiddling with monkey king I can give my pros and consPros: hefty, solid, good paint and plastic color, easy to transform, posable for such a tiny figure.Cons: some steps are frustrating (getting the gun in the cube is one), tight fits and some bits require more strength to untab in ape mode that I would like.So yeah there's that, I think I'm gonna love this line and I hope the beetle fixes a lot of these problems.

Lorewise, Ghost Dog is the prototype model of Dio who keeps upgrading himself to try to prove he's not obsolete - only for Dio to one-up him every single time.
