Why does op insist on spelling it gaShapon when every jp store and twitter account tags as gaCha
>>
>>9718330
They're both correct, you know? Both are real terms that are used interchangeably. So it really doesn't matter which you use. Gacha just happens to be more common.
>>
>>9718330
>>9718447
GaCHApon is the common term, GaSHApon is the katakana spelling trademarked by Bandai.
>>
>>9718464
Wikipedia says they only own that trademark in the US, so it would never need to be in katakana. The article itself also uses "gashapon" as a generic term, which proves you are not correct.

They handled this pretty well.
The ikimono encyclopedia line is starting to remove the stands for some variations, for example kabutomushi 03 and kuwagata 04 will have variations without wings and variations without stands.
But on this line they managed to cover the lack of stand for the potter wasp by making the whole shell a pot.
>>
https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/m/10880040
if anyone wants random potter wasp.
I just buy from kidsroom since I don't care about the rare one and shipping is cheaper there.
>>
>>9739974
>kabutomushi 03 and kuwagata 04 will have variations without wings and variations without
Wait, what? If that means they’re cheaping out on some beetles, that’s not good. Unless I’m misunderstanding something and you mean they’re doing wingless beetle species (are there such a thing? I’m not an expert on beetles).
>>
>>9741497
They are cheaping out.
It's somewhat reasonable. If you follow the gashapon blog, they have been talking about the 500yen price limit being to harsh for what they want to do.

Generally the lineup for the future is colored beetles are in regular gashapon capsules and no wings, black color beetles gets display base and wings.

There are unique molds that varies. Next rhino beetle series has goliath beetle that comes in regular capsule(no display base) but also with wings.
>>
>>9741779
that makes me sad but I understand where they’re coming from. Plenty of other gacha lines are creeping up in price to 500 yen a piece and they offer much less than this line. This line honestly is my favorite gacha line because you really are getting a poseable, well sculpted action figure with a pretty classy base all things considered. I’ve been getting them since the first line and pretty much ended up with a mini natural museum by now.
>>
>>9741779
I just got kuwagata 03 but I haven’t opened and assembled it, I got the brown stag beetle, so I’ll see if it’s got wings or not. I’m going to go back and spin a few more times for the black and gold-ish hued one.
>>
>>9743435
03 still gives display base and wing for all variants, the cost measures start at kuwagata 04.

I started a business recently
I got the business ID
what would be the first way to get gashapon in bulk/start a gachapon store?
id like to sell shit like this
>>
>>9739952
who knows, maybe they would use that technology Sylvanian Families uses
>>
>>9737641
maximum comfy.
>>
>>9743750
what's your endgame?
what do you offer that's unique over the other gacha sites?
where will you sell? retail or online only?
>>
>>9743986
>Sylvanian Families
lol, you mean flocking? It's a pretty old technique. The downside is that it will start to flake off and get patchy if handled too much.
>>
>>9744260
Online only, but open to brick and mortar.
I could make it affordable to a certain region like CA/USA only.
endgame is just I find I could be more passionate about keeping up to date with inventory and releases of gacha. I just want to be surrounded by gacha and gacha only.

I had started a business and got a little bit of financial aid but it had to be in a lame ass sector or so that "benefited" people. Part of the "class". I've seen people do "gender-neutral" clothing companies and "education" related shit so I had to roll with it a couple of months during training but I just want to sell shit that coincides with my hobby.
>>
>>9744300
well, good luck with that i guess. I live in California so if you can undercut the sites i already use (like Rakuten) i'll fuck with your site.
>>
>>9743343
Yeah, it's sad, but frankly I'm amazed this hasn't already happened. This line was giving waaaaayy more than it was worth, for many waves now. With every single new mold I felt like I got way more than 500yen worth.
>>
>>9744315
I would. I just need to understand how it works. Do I get a facility/storage and buy in bulk? Do I contact whoever is in charge of SO-TA, Epoch, etc etc
Will bandai fuck with me? etc
>>
>>9744323
I doubt you'll find much help here, we're mostly just end-users. But just based on my general business knowledge from working, large companies are usually hesitant when it comes to dealing directly with small, new, unproven businesses. I think it's likely you will need to find a distributor and end up paying a cut to them.
>>
>>9744323
I think there are sites that sell gacha in bulk but as far as I know they're JP only.
Sites like dai4, chappy-net.
>>
>>9744320
I never expected Bandai to be such a bro since their other gacha lines are honestly subpar compared to even smaller companies like Kaiyodo or Tomy or PandaAna but that dangomushi line really were fucking GOAT materials.
>>
Hmm, so I am missing parts in a trading figure, and they seem to have accidentally put in an incorrect sprue instead (I was wondering why I had random body parts for a completely different figure left over after I was done). Is it at all possible to get stuff like this replaced by Bandai, or am I shit outta luck?
>>
>>9751360

None-scale, so they're best for stuff like nendoroids or sylvanian families but a lot of the stuff such as food and props can work in 1/10, 1/12 and 1/18 depending on what it is.

Got my grabois, cybertruck for scale. Paint is actually pretty good, with plenty of painted tiny details and nice washes.Unfortunately they only included one top head piece so you can't have the full graboid and emerging one complete at the same time. Still, fun little figures and they can terrorize your hotwheels or other small toys.

Hobbysearch and Amiami failed to set order limits on Bandai plamo, which opened up a huge scalpers market. Bandai saw this and got pissed, and pulled all their kits off both international sites. HLJ is the only one who followed directions and set order limits, which is why they are still carrying said kits.

Well fuck me, these guys just came in, and I got one with two right front legs. I wish bandai didn't make them jointed so this couldn't happen, but I'm in the US, so no much I can really do ig. Good thing I order more than one

Reasonably well, but the whole style is different, if that bothers you. Like, DTAs don't even have feet, and their proportions/style is a little different than AS. But if all you're concerned about is height, yeah, they're pretty darn close.

Man I'd buy a lot of these if I could actually get the for 500 yen and not have to pay 5x that for shipping
>>
Amiami aren't selling new candy toy stuff in their international shop but they are selling boxed gashapon stuff still.
I guess they're considered different categories.

To add to what >>9863300 said,

AS's are slightly taller than DTA's
AS's can't use some of the props from DTA's, but DTA's can use AS's props (AS's only have a small circular hole while DTA's have a longer rectangular hole of the same width)
AS's have the same head size with taller face plates, while DTA's are shorter and more chibi-like
DTA's ball joint for the head is much larger than AS's, and some DTA's are able to use the hair pieces from AS's, but AS's are too thick for DTA's hair pieces
DTA's and AS's arms are not compatible with each other (DTA's use ball joints, but AS's use pegs), both arms are the same length and proportion though
DTA's use smaller ball joints than AS's for the legs, but AS's legs can slot into DTA's hips albeit very loosely
DTA's legs are longer than AS's, they have the same thigh length but DTA's have longer feet

AS's proportions are closer to anime / realistic styles meanwhile DTA's are more chunky and chibi-like

These are the few that I can think of when I was trying to mix both a while back.

I appreciate the info, and the side by side comparison. I was planning on getting some Aqua shooter bodies for head swap with these corpse party minis. the heads fit pretty well on the DTA bodies but styles definitely clash

If your kids like dinosaurs, I'd like to make a suggestion that you buy them this:
https://www.hlj.com/excavated-with-gashapon-dinosaur-fossil-2-1box-8pcs-bann76667

This is a ball of plaster with a very basic excavation tool where you're supposed to peel off the plaster and get to the plastic fossil inside.
Pic related is the first in the series, the 2nd series replaces Spinosaurus with Bracchiosaurus.

Here's a video:

October release, deformed Leopard Gecko.
Guess they found a way to get it on regular gashapon.

Ok look, I'm not really thrilled by the idea of "Nendo DLC," but....as long as they keep it to non-essential items, this is a pretty cool idea and a relatively cheap way to expand the possibilities of your figures. I would buy like, gacha of Figma-compatible hands in silly, esoteric, limited-use poses.

thanks he has had a couple generic ones that sucked so I will give it a try. he loves digging shit out of plaster. national geographic use to make one that had real fossil. although the real fossils were literal poop but it was still a real fossil. i dont think they make them anymore though.

Tiny die cast knives, seems about 1/10th scale? might get confiscated in some countries despite having dull edges, lol.

Judging by that hand, they look way too big to be 1/10, even if it happens to be a small hand. Looks closer to 1/6 or so.
