>>9465038that's a really nice picture
>>9466502I want Harley to step on me.
>>9466504Bow before your queen, slave.
>>9465189Thank you man
Good pictures in this thread so far! I really like the backgrounds and sets; really makes the shots that much more immersive. I should definitely give it a shot sometime...I think 1/18 scale scenes are easier for me to assemble than the 1/12 ones that I usually do. Nevertheless, here's another attempt at a night shoot.
>>9467892I like your fire
>>9465038What lantern is that? I fucking love this picture.>>9465189Where did you get that head??
>>9467961Thanks, anon! I used a small electric candle, some stretched cotton, and some broken sticks to look like firewood.
>>9468117its samus's head but from figma zero suit samus
Last one, my first attempt at this shots.
>>9470773around Elves... watch yourselves.
got a few decent shots, tried doing something with perspective with the first one
>>9473473lol fuck, forgot to take my trip offdidnt realize scorpion's wrist guard was facing the wrong way, but fuck it
>>9473474It's all fun and games until you write a post with a bunch of nigger this and faggot that in it and come back 8 hours later to see the masterful shit you've stirred up and then see you left your name and email attached because you posted in the bst thread and now some reddit tier nigger has contacted your boss and now I'm fired and waiting in the parking lot to beat the shit out of my faggot ass boss.
>>9470728That's a nice rifle, where'd you get it?>>9470732The green haired face is nice, but the blond one looks like she's stopping to sniff a fart. >>9470735>>9470739Man, I wish the PGV line was easier to come by and could be bought off the normal collector stores. These figures are so nice and it's such a pain to jump through hoops and beg the guy who makes em to sell more of em. Hopefully he manages to follow through with the second wave he showed off at some point way back when.
>>9468117Thanks anon! Its a custom selfmade one from serveral other cheap toys.
My camera sucks but I've got ideas
Why's this thread so fuckin dead?
>>9486854i don't know anon. i wish it wasn't.
I love taking my toys out exploring, does anyone have any recommendations for figures that look cool outside? I’ve been trying to find some sort of explorer that could go everywhere
>>9491975I guess I'm saying .. what interests you?
Also that Space Prisoner's great. I got 2.during the bbts sale.
>>9491515Basically nothing that is super heroes except for wolverine.Without being character specific, I can think of medieval knights, skeletons, star wars, soldiers, astronauts.
>>9474925Who's that demon lady and golden dude?
>>9477900>That's a nice rifle, where'd you get it?Joytoy WWII German infantry
>>9491990I live in Hawai’i and would like some sort of space character that is not from any specific property. The Acid rain figures are a little smaller than I like but would love any space or medieval recommendations
>>9492049>golden dudeHasbro Fortnite Legendary Series Midas Rex>demon ladyA custom I made with the head from Figma BRS OVA Black Gold Saw, the body is called Sozai-chan (light flesh), and a sleeveless jumpsuit by someone on Etsy called SewOutstanding.
>>9493163For medieval I can think of mythic legions, kaiyodo also has some knights too, also goblin slayer has a nice medieval style armor. For Space... there's this nice shf astronaut (Kamen Rider Fourze Space suit), cant think of many since I don't really collect space figures desu.
>>9494086There is cosmic legions though that's not out until maybe next year.Maybe the 2009 mafex figures could work for that anon
>>9465038I made the entire mouth out of a tide pod container. Supposed to be the entrance to Murder World. First prop I've made from scratch.
This might be the wrong place to post, but does anyone know where I can find HQ images of backgrounds? I work in a print shop and can print cool stuff out, but it's hard to find sci-fi backgrounds that aren't just stars and planets. If I find Star Wars backgrounds, they usually have a small army of stormtroopers in the background, which would break the illusion
>>9517350I use wallhaven if I want an image thats high quality for backdrops
>>9517350Use Google, unironically. Image search > tools > size > largeThat's how I find a lot of backgrounds
>>9517533>>9517538Thank you kings
Anyone do a nativity scene? I'm usually too lazy to bother, but I've wanted to for a long time.
>>9478965artistic>>9480952man i regret not getting ay Harley>>9489245Gengar Chads keep winning>>9491515that's a pretty solid explorer, solid photo too>>9491962fucking awesome>>9501536I just got this red canti and I really love it, personally don't like the cape but you make it work it seems.>>9503869Droids did nothing wrong!>>9505025nooooo robiiiin>>9517848awesome shot >>9519678LMAO also who did those spartans?
>>9520649I think the spartans are mcfarlane? I've had them for over ten years, so I don't really remember, but I think they all came together in a three pack. I accidentally hamhands'd the plasma sword trying to put it in blue dude's hands.
>>9520649thanks, dude. i tried several different shots to get the cape just right, and i think it paid off. it's pretty nice, once you get used to it, and it works well with other figures too
>>9465038Your Samus shots are always great.>>9467892Nice and moody.>>9470728>>9470735>>9470737>>9470739I should really look into these gals, but I keep spending money on other things. The camp and dino hunt are my favorites.>>9478965Make your crappy camera work in your favor. This looks like a VHS rip; if you stick to 80s-90s subjects and focus on posing and composition you can pass it off as "lo-fi" photography.>>9489245Big Gengar energy.>>9491495I hope we actually get something like this in one of the shows.>>9491962Cute.>>9519349https://youtu.be/6b92VLDt9agMy favorite Christmas Carol.>>9519678I like how the Jedi are using their lightsabers as canes.
>>9486854Because it seems that everyone would rather post in the thread for fun toy photos and not the srs bsns arty thread. More discussion to be had there too.
I made a light box out of a shoebox, was pretty easy but it didn’t turn out how I imagined. Still happy I spent some time trying!
still trying to get used to a new phone camera. anyone else have tips, esp if youve got a pixel 6?
>>9535920I really like those vehicles.
Last photo of 2021
>>9536377Luke and R2 are Mafex? Baba Yoda is Hasbro?
>>9536387Shf Luke, Revoltech R2, and yeah baba yoda is hasbro.
I love the mythos Boba
>>9536390Damn, I was way off. Thanks, anon. How's the R2? He looks really good.
>>9536399Tbh, for display and photo purposes, R2 is great, I think it scales well with shfs and bs. It's bigger than both the BS and SHF ones which I think is a good thing. It's also cheaper than the shf too, that's one of the reasons why I got it. My only gripe is that it only comes with a set of feet with wheels to actually use it as a toy. Not exactly a great feature.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Ax2KOxAEg
>>9536391>>9536491I like the angles in these, good job
>>9536513Thanks anon, I was a little pissed about the quality drop from the upload.
>>9535000I like this A LOT
>>9536513Thank you! It was fun to do something a bit different angle-wise
>>9537219Thanks! Im hoping to take some more figures/pictures on my next trip to the desert, got some good areas with canyons.
>>9536598This is great! Really gives a sense of scale!
>>9524017And thank you Anon! Thats so nice to hear
After a long time without the energy/inspiration to take photos, I decided to try to take at least one photo a month. I just got my January photo out of the way so I'm good. But yeah, wish I still had the fire in me to be more active. >>9545988I like this one a lot, it has a cinemacitc vibe to it.
I have nothing better to do right now
Zero's new look (emo phase)
>>9549118Nice pic. Digital effects?
Stick em up.
>>9549483Yup! Smoke and fire effects are digital, not feeling using my fog machine and I'm just too afraid of using firecrackers near my figures
>>9549498Cute combo>>9550779How would I go about doing the digital effects myself? Is it a software thing, or just editing with transparent images?
>>9546589I like the lighting in this one anon.>But yeah, wish I still had the fire in me to be more active.Yeah I feel the same way, I have a nice camera and I haven't used it in months... I need to put the game controller down and get back into photography even if it's just figures.
>>9551799Looks cool. How did you achieve that?
>>9480957>>9480959>>9480961>>9480963Good pics anon.
>>9551933>I like the lighting in this one anon. Thanks man. I thought it'd be too bright because it was really sunny that day but it turned out nice.Sometimes you even get tired of the stuff you like. The worst part is that you know you want to do it but you just can't gather the motivation.
>>9552181Just some directional lighting and transparent images layered on top of each other. Although, I've come to dislike the lightsaber overnight. It was just some red and white glow layers stacked on top of each other.
>>9552967>The worst part is that you know you want to do it but you just can't gather the motivation. Not that anon but I feel this a lot and I hate it.
>>9561005 I don't remember seeing Godzilla in Toronto.
Got a new phone recently, so I wanted to see what kind of toy scenes it can capture. It's a lot easier to focus on certain subjects, and I like how wide the picture is; makes everything look a bit more scenic.>>9480963This was a really cool series, anon!>>9491495>>9503869>>9536377>>9536391>>9547348>>9553171Always cool to see some Star Wars scenes!>>9491515Great composition, anon! Good figures for outdoor scenes really depends on the environment your looking for. I use G.I. Joe figures for most natural environments and certain man-made structures that match the scale/setting.>>9558033>>9559818Now these are just stunning! Great job to both of you!
And of course it gets posted upside down...
>>9564486I like the wide field of view too, that would be cool for some stand-off styled pics. My phone is quite a bit more shitty and old, same goes for my camera. But I'm still toying about! I've started using wire for poses and editing it out. Doing it in low-light makes it super easy to edit out the wire too, which is nice.
really digging the universe survival version of the twins, but 17 is easily my favorite of the two
What cameras does everyone use?after a decade my Canon PowerShot ELPH 110 HS needs replacement.I'm looking at the PowerShot SX540 HS.It's got manual focus which I don't have, dedicated controls for several of the features I already have, and a super long zoom. It's also within my price range.>>9565942Zelda:>It's all so tiresome>>9565975Cute.
>>9567134>What cameras does everyone use?I use a Canon EOS 3000D. It's not perfect, but it does the job,
>>9564486Thanks for the comment anon!>>9565942My favorite of the two. I like the purple light more.>>9566024Very nice. I like the pose and placing in this one.>>9567134I got a Sony slt a57 back in 2018. It came out in 2012 though, so it's a 10 year old camera but it works fine and it gets the job done. I'm sure at some point I will have to replace it.
From your secret friend. Who? Haven't a clue. Let's play a game, just me and you.
>>9567248I like your ghosts.>>9567286Sounds like you all have somewhat equivalent or greater hardware to what I'm looking to upgrade to. here:>>9567134The review photos and videos for the SX540 HS all vary greatly, but look good for the most part.Text reviews are rather useless since they're all over the place.>>9559818That's really cool.>>9558033This is great in the fact that it's just a desk shot, but due to the poses, lighting and focus, it looks just as good as if it was in a diorama.also checked.
Filters and sparkly things oh my
I put together this list of IG hashtags that you guys may find useful if you want to share your stuff there. Hope it helps.https://pastebin.com/A816sZrC
Anyone know a good brand of collapsible light box? I need something that at least has a height and width of 35 cm and a depth of about 25 cm. I'm not sure what's a good make as there seems to be a lot of cheap ones going about.
>>9551025sorry for the long time to reply bro, it`s easier with photoshop, it`s really basic stuff you can find easy on you tube. but you can also search for ~embers png~ on google and get some good results.
>>9580057Do we also have a list of everyone's IG from these threads? I lost the old page
>>9581142Not really. All I use are sheets of poster board clamped onto a cardboard box.
