This one doesn't transform though.

If I cared about transformation, right 100%. Bandai got some funky ass engineering behind the transformations. If I cared about cool pirate logo xD omfg teh piratt >:)) then yeah, left also the left. Has a much smoother tone to it and looks more professional.

well yeah, the Macross figures is seriously awesome, and I'm embarrassed that hastak didn't come up with their designs first. Makes Jetfire look like a baby's toy.
>>
why macross so damn expensive?
$400 only give you basic 3 modes VF-1 sometimes without super pack
>>
>>9377118
Left obviously.

Limited production + scalpers. DX Chogokin VF-1s are actually not that expensive at msrp - around $200 for a toy this detailed is a steal. But they become sold out very quickly and are sold for twice as much on a secondary market.

Super and Strike packs are online exclusives and are even more rare.

It's not like that recent Masterpiece Starscream that has msrp of $250 and can still be easily found for that much because it was produced in larger numbers.
>>
>>9377243
Because Harmony Gold is the only company retarded enough to try and sue.
>>
Is this the best official hastak Jetfire figure yet?
>>
>>9377675
They're making a masterpiece one, but it's too cartoon-accurate for my tastes.
>>
>>9377675
It's one of their best figures period. I just wish he had deeper knee bend and articulated fingers, then he'd be perfection.
>>
>>9378060
He also doesn't come with a flight stand, which is complete bullshit.
>>
>>9377675
I actually quite liked the previous one, the Takara version at least, but yes, that is by a wide margin the best official Jetfire. And will remain so going by this abomination >>9377899
>>
Right, of course. It's a real character.
>>
>>9377899
What makes you think they're "making a masterpiece one". That's a picture from a completely outdated prototype next to an MP-10, another completely outdated figure. That pic is probably 10 years old.
>>
>>9377675
too big to really fit in with WFC figures but in it's own seems like a great toy

>>
>>9379651
That picture is of a very early(process-wise) prototype and came from this years volume of Transformers Generations, published in May and listed as an upcoming figure
>>
>>9379741
He scales perfectly with WFC, Jetfire is SUPPOSED to be a fuckhuge giant.
>>

>That picture is of a very early(process-wise) prototype and came from this years volume of Transformers Generations, published in May
Which means nothing.

Factually wrong.

>vs PT macross
Not even a question. Macross wins every time.

I have a couple of Chogokins, and it always blew my mind how they were so cheap at MSRP, the size, detail, and quality feel like a $500 figure easily

Does it really matter if it's a character or not? It should be a matter of which one looks cooler. If you want it to be a character, then use your imagination. If you pick right because you think it looks cooler, that's fine, but don't keep judging the way you have.

Obviously scale was inconsistent in the G1 cartoon, but despite the fact I initially thought he was a bit big as well, Jetfire does appear to be a head and shoulder taller than the Dinobots. My beloved Legends Jetfire might actually be a bit small.
>>
>>9377675
Not a fan of some promo pictures putting those cannons in his wings when the OG Jetfire toy look had them on the head

Left is a really cool design regardless of any comparisons with right, though.

They're certainly no DX Chogokin or Yamato/Arcadia stuff, but a lot of the newer model kits aren't bad. They'll all need a lot of work, some of those Delta designs terrify me with all the decals, but I've genuinely enjoyed all the V.F.Gs I've built. Kinda wish they released the VFs by themselves, they make for pretty good Gerwalks.
>>
>>9385914
The cheapest Valks you can get are Hi-Metal VF-1s. Those usually sit in the $110-150 range, I don't think I've ever seen them for anything less.
I got my VF-4 for about $130-140.
If you want a decent transforming Macross toy you'll never find one below $100 unless it's broken.
Do yourself a favor and drop a little more cash, you won't regret it, most of these figures are truly worth it.

This actually works really well. I'd prefer a smaller head (get rid of it being a helmet), but I'd buy this as an official release.
