Welcome to Transformers General(previous thread: >>9372988)https://pastebin.com/AdKmr3nWhttps://pastebin.com/w6Jx9rgiDo you think he'll ever be allowed to have as good a transforming toy as the RotF voyager ever again?
>>9376143I believe so, give him some time. If they are doing pretenders next year with Iguanus and Skullgrin he has a chance in 23/24.Also to anons that ordered Star Saber on Zavvi, are your orders still processed?
>>9376143i always forget that was part of that, it kind of gleefully ignored the aesthetic and made its own thing. love that toy. even if the flexible swords get bendy and cant be painted properly to make a convincing gun barrel
>>9376149Have a look
>>9376143That would be an immediate buy, I want a new Bludgeon so bad.
>>9376149I'd just very much like something based on his semi-recent or marvel comic appearances. The Super7 and Flametoys kit look nice, but they're just not the aesthetic I want, and obviously don't transform. Like if we could get something like the KZ art or some of the earlier like 2009 IDW style with some garish as fuck orange, green and pink, that'd be the dream. Weird horror show mouth or proper skull mask, I just want this dude so fucking bad.Keep imagining him with a translucent sword as well, as terrible as an idea that would be regardless of QC levels.
>>9376157Thanks anon, my OCD is calmer now.I will always prefer simple bank transfer.
>>9376164the funny thing is>clear parts are fragile>bendy swords suck because they always get bent in packagingbut -clear, bendy parts- usually work out fine. Gundams with their beam swords and various beam effect parts are fantastic, that's what I'd like to have in my transformers. plus it makes more sense he'd pull off part of the gun barrel and it turns into a beam sword, rather than that the entire tank portion is concealing a blade while simultaneously functioning as a normal cannon.
Are there any G1 guys you think have no chance of getting a figure?Scared for some of the pretenders. JG1 side characters, monstructor, Omnibots seem unlikelyI actually wonder how we got 2 black shadow toys over the years
>>9376175You know that's true actually. Might work, but I feel if we got a modern Bludgeon, he'd be slavishly G1 styled with them kinda half-assedly trying to add the pretender gimmick in. Shame because I love the pretender cons, but I'd much, MUCH rather get something like RotF Bludgeon or Generations Skullgrin where their robot modes look like the pretender shells but they just transform into normal ass vehicles. Like this dude is still one of my favorite CHUG figs ever just because he does so much with the unique colour scheme and the sick as fuck head.
>>9376164Same, the I like the melting skull face look a lot. Same with Thunderwing's Jack-o-lantern mouth.
>>9376189I want to believe that some designer is secretly working on a commander Stormbringer Thunderwing after we got the drones in gen selects last year but that is the pipe dreamest of dreams.
>>9376181ever since i cracked the code of what made beast wars look so right (even the CG managed to sell it, robot parts are metallic and beast parts are matte, really convincing you that energon radiation is a vulnerability machines have that animal flesh can shield them from), I've always been a big fan of an altmode coming apart into pieces and revealing new exposed robot parts, rather than the altmode just being a folded up robot, whenever possible.seeing a bunch of samurai parts pop out of a tank is amazing. and then the creative way the treads are used as samurai armor flaps, that is chef kiss right there.
Seriously I don't miss Don's weird movie-style designs from that one specific period, but good lord I miss the majority of his other designs. So many of these look fantastic.
>>9376204Completely agree. RotF was such a fucking kino line with that scheme. So many weird fucked up monsters transforming out of relatively tame vehicle modes, and doing it in ways that other lines just didn't bother with after they had to nerf transformations in DotM onwards. It's why I love RiD15 as well, you got these day to day normal animated style vehicles but they turn into a giant fucking lobster-man, a dog and a fucking were-moose. That's a million times more interesting and exactly why I want to see Pretenders out of normal vehicles.
To those that own them, would you recommend getting the Threezero Deluxe Bumblebee film figures? I can get Optimus and Bumblebee
Credit: someone on BoomerW2005
>>9376234I hope we get more mercenaries even though theyre just spicy decepticonsMaybe the pretenders will get it?
>>9376234I was wondering what that goofy made up symbol was.
>>9376197Weird how the 3p version got so expensive, guess they did a really small run.
>>9376219it's such a shame we didnt get the Predator-ass dudes from... that was DotM right? in proper toys.. just a few really compromised dumb ones.then for the fourth movie we finally had dinobots and such, but the trends had shifted back toward simplified crummy trasnformations for wee kids
>>9376228wouldnt bumblebee be way tinier as a beetle than a sports car..
>>9376234>Bay insigniasThe dream is dead.
>>9376284That's irrelevant to what I asked.
>>9376301sorry I was just reacting to the image.
So Brian Goldner just died.
>>9376212I could see siege Megs remold working for this design.
>>9376282>it's such a shame we didnt get the Predator-ass dudes from... that was DotM right? The Dreads? The only one that got a proper looking toy was Crowbar - the only real complaints I have with him are A.) he doesn't have his two guns/mobile sentries that he used in the movie and game (just the explosive melee pylon thingies he used for two seconds just before he died) and B.) his 'hair' really has no clear place to go in car mode - you just have to tuck it under his chassis, and since it's soft plastic, it bends and deforms if you leave him that way too long. Otherwise, he isn't horrible; Crankcase got screwed royally with his original toy, and they just repainted Crowbar for his SS release (despite them having the right mold available from Berserker by that point), and Hatchet never got a toy that actually resembled him at all - just a lame Commander-class toy that didn't even have the right alt mode and looked terrible.
>>9376335I don't see it. The treads are completely different.
>>9376343oh huh that one looks okay.
>>9376343I hope we get better Cranckase sometime in the future since Hatchet is rumored for next year or 2023.>>9376351I meant general shape of treads and body proportions. Treads should be a new parts with some extending so legs could fold up to hide there.
>>9376367It's his Studio Series version. Crankcase also got a SS - but they literally just repainted Crowbar and slapped a new name on him; it's weirder because by the time they released the SS, they already had the Berserker mold from The Last Knight to work with, which was directly based off of Crankcase in DoTM - and which Crowbar was already a retool of. Weird as hell, plus they never finished the line with a SS Hatchet, so it's impossible to own all three Dreads with the proper alt modes.
>>9376381studio series sure does a lot of good things that they should have done in the first place
>>9376234So they went straight to using that stupid Wreckers symbol from the comic? Or is the comic from the film? Seems like too easy and recent of a cross usage to not be on purpose. Also it's a shit Wreckers symbol, fuck off.
>>9376442It must originally be for the film, it's been in development for too long for them to be taking elements from a comic that's not even out yet.Maybe Hasbro demanded they unify the Wrecker symbol.
chinese ebay listings for transformers aren't to be trusted, right? I found PotP Slash for super cheap there but it's gotta be a knockoff
>>9376278In short, it bombed. It sat on "shelves" for like 4 years. Now that it's finally sold out, people are scrambling to get it and driving the price up. It originally retailed for around $150 and it stayed at that price for 4 years.
>>9376470Yep. Knock off.Although..... if you don't mind ripping off the scamming fucks, buy it and when you get it call the seller out on it, and he'll probably do a refund without wanting a return.
>>9376301>>9376228I've got it, for the price it's pretty good, no real issues with it.
>>9376442Who knows there are rumors BW Megatron will be called Galavar like in the comic to avoid confusion
>>9376442Also it's a shit Wreckers in general
>>9376474indeed. hmm. I generally feel you can't pay evil to evil and then wonder why your wallet keeps filling up with more evil. you're supporting the economy.
>>9376572Do you ever find yourself wishing it was transformable?
>>9376586I bought a batch of these myself. I didn't realize they were fakes until I held them. Demanded my money back, and there we are. Granted I still need to replace Seaspray, since he had two left knees.
>>9376618yeah that's different.
>>9376583Wreckers are dead, long live the Firestormers.
>>9376594Nope. If it was it's be a clusterfuck of a thing. With movie bots I am happy with a figure of the robot mode that isn't hindered by having to transform.
>>9376696fuckanyways, they are good. Some bits that you have to watch for, mainly delicate pieces due to the design. Like Bees elbows, Blitzwings wing tips, ect.
>>9376696Australian cut of the movie.
Damn, now that I've got both of the current Deluxe Waspinators together it seems they're two completely unique molds rather than the Kingdom one being a remold in any way.gg hasbro
>>9376581>Not Megarex>Not Rexatron>Not TyrannotronusHow in the fuck did they decide Galavar was an acceptable replacement for Trex Megatron?
>>9376710>bad pepe derivative>literal who celeb talk>gotta mention the trannies to be cool round hereOnce of the worst posts I've seen in weeks, good work.>>9376659This single image causes the pain from the new wreckers comic to feel much less awful.
>>9376581Why would they need to rename Beast Megatron if the old Megatron isn't in the movie? Or is he?
>>9376701would you agree with me that each has its strengths and they didn't really improve on the Generations one when taken in total?
>>9376718>Purple Megatron>9376710the only time it's good someone died is if they were imminently threatening the lives of others. Otherwise, that means they failed to learn their lesson and turn their shit around and come back to jesus.
>>9376556>>9376710>>9376721Why are you twisted fucks happy a man died over toys?
>>9376750Nobody's happy, just nobody gives a shit because it doesn't affect us in any way when one of several hundred multi-billionares who are strangling us for every cent die.
>>9376750He fucking deserved to die because he kept releasing shitty repaints. He also didn’t release new versions of the 84 cast fast enough.
>9376331>9376710Literally who? I have no idea who this is, or why I should give a fuck.
>>9376764CEO of Transformers you SPED
$20 Gnaw comes with two weapons.$50 Slug comes with none.
>>9376765>CEO of TransformersDon't care. I'll get my shit whether he's dead or alive. Doesn't affect me in the slightest.>you SPEDkek, what are you, in elementary school? If you're gonna insult someone, you'll need to try harder than that.
>>9376769>But but he comes with Daniel!Yeah. That's what we all wanted.
>>9376775Hey, Gnaw needed a snack, and he was all out of trail mix. Daniel was the next best thing.
>>9376764>>9376736>I WON'T GIVE THEM THEIR (you)S, THAT'LL SHOW EM HAHAJesus christ go to another board.>>9376772This, who fucking cares. If Warden or Lenny dies you might see a reaction of any worth but it's the most suit of suit fucks, who cares.
>>9376750I hate kikes, I hate the 1% and more importantly I don’t give a shit. Dramapost somewhere else.
>>9376769Slag comes with his gun, it stores under his tail in Dino mode. Unless you're referring to some meme sword.
>>9376769Oh shit, Slug does actually come with a gun, I set it aside and totally forgot about it lol
>>9376331>based 2020: the sequel.
>>9376784>I hate kikesYou spend too much time on 4chan.
>>9376769>>9376794I hope when the five Dinobots are done we get some Selects weapon pack with a Slash reissue. Like the Centurion pack, but cheaper and full of swords. Five swords and Slash, 20-25 bucks? Sounds okay?
>>9376805I want Slash to be able to wield all five swords at once in raptor mode. One in each hand, one grasped in each foot, and one in her mouth.
>>9376805$50? Sure! Hope you can get your preorder in during the five minutes the set is available at a completely arbitrary unannounced time!
>>9376822Like Zoro from One Piece? Yeah, yeah let's do it.>>9376825Jokes aside, they'll probably charge at least 30 for such a set. But I gotta say, the preorder window for the Centurion pack was open for a good long while. Just too bad OPTIMUS'S GUN WAS WAY TOO GODDAMN BIG.
>>9376730No, the one thing they did improve IMO is that the Kingdom figure is much thinner in profile
>>9376792>meme swordThats not going to be a thing guy, you should stop trying to force an ebin new meme. Pretty much everyone wants the dinobots to have thier swords.
>>9376857You know who it is you replied to, don't make the same mistake again.
>>9376858I actually have no idea. I have not been, nor I doubt ever will be, the kind of person who starts figuring out what anon is what.
>>9376857Look at all those swords Swoop is holding.
>>9376854Hang yourself from a tree, tooner scum
>>9376857Man, I hope Swoop gets something other than his missiles. I'd be boring if that was all he got.
>9376854They're melee weapons used in most games they appear in. They're also in their original toy's artwork, and packed with the toys themselves. Just because they weren't used in the glorified toy commercial you hold so highly on a pedestal, doesn't mean they aren't a thing - on the contrary, the cartoon is the ONLY piece of media the swords don's show up in. Of course, I don't really give a shit about media appearances in general - I just want my toys to have all of the accessories they were intended to come with, and the Dinobots all had swords in their initial releases. Seems dumber NOT to include them.
>>9376833hmm, interesting. i need to see more comparisons.
>>9376866>I have not been, nor I doubt ever will be, the kind of person who starts figuring out what anon is what.So you're a useful shmuck that feeds the trolls every time, then?
>>9376912Then you should be happy the figures come with Daniel and Wheelie to ride them because in their intial releases the dinobots all had riders. Weird how you aren't reeeeing that Grimlock doesn't come with his missile launcher either. That's also an accessory he came with, but your'e strangely silent about it. Almost like you just want... meme sword.
>>9376918You sound like a troll too mister.
>9376938Actually, I'd love both the rider and rocket launcher; I figured most people would have no idea what I was talking about had I brought them up.
I liked idw1
>>9376938This is the strangest and most nonsensical trolling I've seen here in a long while. Did you brainstorm meme sword with your friends or something?>>9376942You too, you really gotta stop being a faggot and responding when it's this obvious. Not directly quoting makes you look 1000x more angry and retarded and like a crossboarder.
>>9376949It's the meme sword because the dinobots have actually rarely ever used or come with sword accessories. Nobody ever cared about them until "suddenly" the Studio Series one didn't have one, and now it's a meme to demand swords for the dinobots.
It's okay to not reply sometimes.
>>9376956Classics Grimlock came with a gunblade, PotP dinobots came with swords, and off the tip of my head I can't think of any 3P dinobots that don't have swords
>>9376962He came with a missile launcher he couldn't even hold like a sword.
>>9376961holy shit she's a zoid toonow I haaave to have her.
>>9376962Every Grimlock release (not including the Pretender or Actionmaster versions) up until 2005 came with a sword of some kind, including his Beast Wars variant. His '06 release had a missile launcher with a bladed bayonet so it could double as a melee weapon at close range, and his '08 Titanium release brought back his old sword. Then you've got all the Masterpiece releases with his sword, and a new sword with his 2013 release; the sword finally disappeared for good starting with the Bayformers Grimlock in '14; from that point onward, he was swordless. So for over 29 years, he had a sword, and it's only been about 6 years that he hasn't been packed with a sword or bayonet of some sort.
>>9376961I'm just realizing in a weird way PotP bots that don't need a head but come with a cockpit are sort of Diaclone toys. FULL CIRCLE BABY..... Wait, did any of the Diaclone figures come out as such figures? Having a head, yet still having a cockpit?
>>9376975Bayverse takes on characters don't count.
>>9376975>every grimlock>if you ignore the ones that don't help my argumentMight as well say "why doesn't Grimlock come with his "giant chunk of Dinotail that he holds pretending it's a weapon" since three of his toys came with that?
>>9376975Just stop bro, everyone in the thread knows he's wrong, the only difference is you're interacting with him and asking him to continue saying retarded shit.>>9376961Shocking that she's a better toy than all of the actual dinobots from that line. Like not that shocking considering PotP was probably the worst line of the decade, but still.
>>9376982She's the only one of the batch that I picked up, I didn't care for the main team but Slash is absolutely worth having.
>>9376981Because ONLY three of his toys came with that. Fifteen came with a sword or bayonet, including his original release.>>9376982He's an idiot, and I'm done talking. Let him retort if he wants - I've lost interest.
>>9376982>Shocking that she's a better toy than all of the actual dinobots from that line. Like not that shocking considering PotP was probably the worst line of the decade, but still.I preorderd that Pulse Volcanicus set, but I never opened it because Grimlock was announced and Slag rumored by the time it came out. For now I'm just sitting on it. Other than the combiner torso being hollow and shitty unless you get great angles, what's so bad about the figures?Seems to go for decent money on Ebay, especially if you can show off you're not selling a bootleg Chinese copy. God, why did PotP get bootlegged so badly?
>>9376982Still, I want a better Slash. Shame there's no listing on a deluxe one so far, I hope she doesn't end up going the way of Windblade.
>>9376993What do you mean with Windblade? I mean not every damn line is going to have a new one.Slash is a new novelty. She hasn't even appeared in fiction yet. I doubt Hasbro has any firm idea if she's a character worth preserving or not just yet.
>>9376991>I preorderd that Pulse Volcanicus set, but I never opened it because Grimlock was announced and Slag rumored by the time it came out.Did you not hear about the Grimlock rumors? There was enough stock in it at the time that I felt bad for anyone ordering the combiner set, I think we even got a listing before preorders for the Volcanius set were done.Anyway, in terms of how figure quality, most of the POTP Dinobots are ok. Swoops pretty good, even has ankles but depending on the copy it might have problems staying in arm or leg mode. The main complaint I have with them is the fact they're too small and the way the clear parts are used on a few of them means they'll break down very easily (mostly a complaint towards Sludge and Slag, the clear dino leg seems to go inward like a tube).
>>9376998>What do you mean with Windblade? I mean not every damn line is going to have a new one?We haven't heard of a new one in Generations since TR. For a character that was pushed so hard and could easily slot into the deluxe pricepoint, that's way too long. Even Bee, who's releases became more regulated after they pushed him harder in other media, they still gave us at least one per line (or an assload in WFC).>She hasn't even appeared in fiction yetRescuebots, Earth Wars, and Select comics.
>>9376991PotP I'd consider worse than basically ever other line, maybe not as bad as FoC, but damn close.Like consider:>no fucking paint anywhere>tons of hideous stickers applied offcenter>several peeling in package>cut down engineering on already barebones CW moulds>stuff like Hun-Gurr's combiner hips/shoulders being a completel QC dice roll>cheap ass repaints across the whole line>brittle as fuck clear plastic on several figs>the worst aspects of CW and TR somehow made worse with none of the benefits>Volcanicus somehow beating Menasor in awful proportionsI could go on, but fuck PotP. I think part of the reason that Siege was so well received, despite the various issues, was because we were all so shell shocked by how bad PotP was. Also for the record, literally anything goes for decent money on Ebay, unless there's an objectively better version out, and even then you'll still see trash figures going for stupid prices.
>>9377002>Did you not hear about the Grimlock rumors? There was enough stock in it at the time that I felt bad for anyone ordering the combiner set, I think we even got a listing before preorders for the Volcanius set were done.I don't think I heard until I placed the order. I'm very suspicious of rumors anyway. And besides, with how Hasbro has been with the Dinobots, I think you'll understand if I won't believe it until I actually have all five. And yeah, their size is off. So it sounds like there's nothing TOO bad about them. I think I'll just sit on this damn thing a bit longer. Again, I just don't trust Hasbro to... forget about them. Again.
>>9377011>Also for the record, literally anything goes for decent money on Ebay, unless there's an objectively better version out, and even then you'll still see trash figures going for stupid prices.Eh, I've been checking prices on some Prime and Animated figures I want to sell. As well as some early CHUG. I have more duds than I would like.
>>9377012Forgot to add about Grimlock, the POTP one is terrible, it's really the only mold from that set that's just completely awful.
My dad had a dream where he worked for Hasbro, so I have Truthful Leaks about SS86:>Wheelie will come with a mini-Grimlock accessory as well as Grimlock's swordHope everyone's excited!>SS86 but core classI've never been more erect in my life, I love cheap and smol frens.>tfw still don't have big best Grimlock, nor GalvatronE-expensive.. I just want a decent core/legends-class Galvatron to satisfy the itch, a Galvatron that's good for once>>9376961You're right, here's your (You) because it's okay to reply to neat anons
>>9377010I just don't think a few years between versions of a character, especially a somewhat, if pushed one, is that big of a deal. I mean there's still that Flametoys T&A model kit. They haven't shunned the character.
>>9377010I think that's the issue, anon. She got so many figures in so many settings and so many lines in such a short amount of time, that everyone got sick of her, and became wary about buying new figures, if they ever wanted her to begin with. That and at least for most anons here, I think, she's kind of a boring shitty character that nobody but IDW readers who aren't now jaded have any desire to see again. Probably doesn't help that IF's incredibly old legends scale on is better than basically all the existing figures period.
>>9377025I like Windblade..... I mean the naive Cityspeaker IDW one. The cartoon ones seemed a bit boring or angry, I can't even remember which. So what is the best Windblade anyway? The Takara Generations seems to be the best, but both RiD and Cyberverse seemed to get okay ones. RiD has the problem of having that giant circle molded into the chest.
>>9377025I could care less about the character, but her design is neat and I'd like at least one good toy out of it.
>>9377016Is the mini Grimlock stuck in a permanent shitting position? No perma-squat, no deal.
>>9377036If they do another version of her I’d like them to change up the design to make her look like she’s wearing a Yukakta
>>9377046Anon... ew. Why Anon? The head is cringe enough. I still can't believe Hasbro went with that. And that it's stuck. How did Japan react to that anyway? They're not nearly as big sticks in the mud as American social media, but I expect some kind of amusement.
>>9376857I liked that as the one specific detail they gave Snarl, that he regularly uses a sword. Wish someone would do more with that, make him the swordsman of the group.
>>9377025>Wary of buying new figuresBut wasn't the TR one the last one? It was pretty good, all things considered. I mean honestly, I can only think of like three or four figures anyway, and one or two of those might've been the little kid versions. I don't think that's a big enough sample size to say people had an opportunity to get sick of it.
>>9377048You can't do that, it'll trigger the guy who wants his grimlock sword he'll never use.
Just ordered this fella, what am I in for? I hear he's pretty good.
>>9377047Wasn't her design the winner of a contest? Sakamoto seems to like her well enough.
>>9377033Yeah exactly. It felt like all versions of her were trying to please the group of people who wanted "strong independent woman" but with no specification of what that meant. I feel the only success with her was making her paired with Starscream so those types of fans could self-insert as her. As for best toy, my vote is for the Legends version, but even that's not that great. The RiD15 one is kinda decent but the no nose is a dealbreaker for most.>>9377036I'm telling you man, this one's great if you can find it.
>>9377049All being so quick together I can see Hasbro deciding to give her a break. WfC is all about revisiting G1 and for some reason early Beast Wars, she just doesn't slot in. Maybe late in Legacy?Again, there's that Flametoys thing. She's not forgotten or ignored.
One of my most favouritest Wheelie photos I've saved, from a neat anon who cherishes Wheelie.>>9377043He's in a perma squat position and has limited balljoints so he can dab. The mini Grimlock also comes with a slingshot accessory. The sword is scaled for SS86 leader Grimlock if it wasn't clear.
>>9377052I don’t think fans ever voted on the design.
>>9377048Snarl's like Sludge, whenever they do anything with the Dinobots, those two always end up background filler. It was funny that in IDW, despite focusing on them as a group of four, they still didn't do much with them.
>>9377053>opaque purple bladethat seems wrong.
>>9377049Remember that it was all in the span of barely over a year. Seeing several lines all blast out mediocre figures and then seeing that the upcoming lines were going to be more new takes on existing characters? I know alot of people that held off on beloved characters like POTP Jazz just because they knew a better one was probably on the horizon.>>9377065The original version of her came with a clear one and a painted one, pretty sure since this is an aliexpress one, it's a repro.
>>9377052Her color, gender, home, alt mode, and roll were fan polled. The over the top head was I believe all on Hasbro. I don't hate it, I'm just shocked bit it. It's kind of on the nose though.I just liked her as a foil for Starscream. I didn't finish IDW1, but once she figured out he was a shitfuck, she did a decent job working around him. From what I remember. I also liked how of all the IDW cast, at least she liked Prime. Yeah she had to learn that your heroes are "only human" but she still liked him. Also I got that cutesy Windblade and I don't even know why. I thought I had preordered the Arcee, but I uh... didn't. Did they do any more like this?
>>9377051I have the Ratbat repaint only. He's a pretty cool toy, the wings partsforming is a minor irritant but doesn't spoil the fun of the overall toy imo. I like the lightpiped face, yellow on mine but cool in any color.
>>9377051I find myself searching for weird uses of old molds so I have reason to buy them as characters I don't have so I can keep them on a shelf and mess with them now and then.I liked the first deluxe Warpath, but WfC blows it away in so many ways. Solution? Strika!
>>9377068>I also liked how of all the IDW cast, at least she liked Prime. She shit talked him at his funeral
>>9377066what even is aliexpress, i keep seeing that
>>9377072WELL I NEVER FINISHED IT. Man IDW1 really did go bad.
>>9377067HeeeeI assume his altmode's gonna be accurately weird, here's apparently the sole time he transformed in the movie. I like TR Wheelie, what am I going to do with the inevitably-shelfwarming SS86 Wheelie.. Also>SS86 RatchetHee
>>9377068I liked comic Windblade, her comic had an artstyle I really liked, and yeah, her political maneuvering with Starscream was cool. Though, and this is something I started to see in Lightbright in the new continuity for a brief shining moment, but I really like the cityspeaker/titan dynamic. I honestly wish that kind of thing was explored more. But I get it, Titans are so big and expensive you have to be careful how you market them, pairing them with a random "who-gives-a-fuck" might be a risk they don't wanna take? I dunno how marketing people think.Still, my friend has a Metroplex and got IF Windblade just to have a cityspeaker for it. It's cute.>>9377073Chinese amazon.
>>9377075The shitty thing about the Ratchet and Ironhide rumors is I still need Hasbro to rerelease the Ironhide/Prowl set so I can get a goddamn Prowl.Fucking fuck.
>>9377074I really hated how everyone treated Prime like shit in IDW, he didn't even deserve it most of the time, unlike Marvel Prime.
>>9377078I don't think Hasbro really cares about the City Speaker thing. It's just an interesting sci-fi concept. No need for Hasbro to care about it. But it's novel for a bit of fiction.
>>9377080There is a large trend of fiction writers wanting to shit on the altruistic characters who mean well. I think it's one part nihilism, and one part angry that the world is too complex for that.I mean yes, make the moral struggles more difficult than a Saturday morning cartoon, sure. But sometimes there are good people and that is their motivation. Use that, just that. And without weird scorn.
>>9377081It felt tacked-on to me honestly, like it was just for giving her a reason to interact in the story more. I'd be fine if that aspect is dropped while her character carries onward.
>>9377083It was both interesting and tacked on. Like why can't these giant things with mouths just talk? Tripticon maybe makes sense? But why not Metroplex? It's weird. I like it, but it's also a mess. So I am sort of take it or leave it on that.
>>9377082FUCK YOU YOU'RE WEIRD
>>9377078god dammit not china againisnt amazon already basically chinese amazon god dammit
>>9377079Ironhide rumours?>was indifferent about Ironhide but felt bad for feeling indifferent about a neat bot>got Ratchet and Crosshairs, but Ironhide's impossible to get since ER sucks and rare>STILL NO PROWL IN MY OWNERSHIP2-packs are fucking gay. They should be stuff like the clones such that it's just a pack of bots you wanted to buy together anyway. Exclusives should be like, con-exclusive repaints, SG/altverse colours, theme redecos, or just literal whos like from G2 or comic-only stuff. Things that aren't really "essential" for most collectors but something really neat to have that makes you feel special for owning it. Rather than a fucking beloved character or something completing a set. I swear they'd make a SS86 set with Blitzwing, Kickback, and Shrapnel if they could (early movie scene), or fucking Swoop with a Quintesson repaint.>"essential" for children's toysYou know what I mean, kind of like how it's essential to have a brain to get what I meant. I hate Hasbro so much - at least this makes me more thankful for really great figures at neat prices though.
>>9377080>>9377082I'm positive it was just the writers projecting the thoughts and feelings the retarded tumblr and twitter fandoms have on modern politics onto transformers. Like holy fucking shit it was so obvious and so tired and trite by the time it came out. Like they made a planet of all women that contradicted all the shit they had established up to that point who were all super duper smart and way more experienced and fit to lead cybertron. And then they let Starscream lead it anyways because he's hot and those types just want to fuck him. Astoundingly bad.>>9377089Aliexpress is more chinese Ebay, desu. Though somehow more reliable than chinese sellers on regular Ebay. It's fucked.
>>9377082I think there's also a problem where.. the more time goes on, the more the only realistic thing to depict seems to be failure, failure, failure. it's all we know at this point.
>>9377087god dammit I wish I could have gotten the larger Scorn they made. Nobody told me til it was too late. All this spying on us companies are doing and none of them could go 'hmm you bought regular Scorn, maybe we should let you know about this new bigger and better one' ??
>>9377092>Like they made a planet of all women that contradicted all the shit they had established up to that pointIt needed to be contradicted, only a retard would say there aren't any transformer women.
>>9377092well that's not really a surprise, they want to sabotage ebay. they've already flooded us with cheap half-fake half-pre-discharged batteries, trying to make sure nothing here works anymore.
>>9377094There's a lot of shit and failure in the world. And a strong component of fiction is reflecting the world. But it doesn't all have to be like that. And while I'm not one to say our fictions shape us, they sort of do to some small degree. And obviously we do shape them. And it's really disheartening to see the near total lack of heroic characters who basically 'win' in fiction aimed at adults. It just says some really bad things about the heart of humanity right now. It's a really scary thing to think about late at night.Superman had a film where his dad told him to maybe not save the children. The Avengers failed utterly to save half of reality for years. Stuff like that. Yes, again, add complexity. But there's something sad about all of this stuff going that far.God is this why Fast and the Furious is so popular? Those good guys always win?
>>9377096Honestly so many people praise Furman's original Tion era, but the man made some fucking stupid decisions too. No women Transformers era, and insisting on no Primus or Unicron ever. On the former, just fucking stupid. There were about a dozen by that point, and people would want to see them. On the later, yes you're burned out from Armada, but too fucking bad, they're part of the lore of the franchise now.
>>9377082That sort of reminds me of Superman. I like Superman, he's a super-guy that does good. But some readers and writers feel the need to tear him down for that.
>>9377096When you spend 8 years and destroy several characters to establish that shit and then go:>nu-uh feminism planet is right over here and it's perfect you all just forgot >:))))I'm gonna call your writing team fucking retarded. I always thought needing to justify body types and gender stupid to begin with, but just going NOPE and retconning something that was so important and is still being lauded as important in all your ongoing storylines is something fucking else.
>>9377105Superman's character is the most altruistic dream of the everyman. What if you had the power to help people? That's it. And the fact that people hate that or feel it needs to be altered beyond recognition is creepy to me.Optimus Prime is the same kind of character, but he's got more shades of "what if your dad was really cool." And again, that people can't just roll with that is weird.
>war is in full swing >Decepticons planning to “sink” the Autobot Fortress City of Tyger Pax into the Silver Sea>Autobots destroy the mining laser digging into the caverns below>damage is done>Optimus sounds the evacuation >a group of protoforms, only recently emerged from the planet.>Autobots loading them into Sky Lynx>Optimus hears a teacher cry out that one is missing>bad news, Lugnut made it past the AA guns and he’s got a nasty bomb>Optimus scans the facility, finds the kid>kid wanted to save his pet turbofox >Prime runs, in tells the others to pick them up on the rooftop>finds kid and his “pet”>bomb goes off>floor gives out, Optimus holds the kid and his pet close. >as they fall into the depths of Cybertron a familiar blue light surges from the matrix>Optimus hits the ground hard>Optimus wakes up, comforts kid>only way out is deeper>kid looks different, has more defined features. >>9377091>Ironhide rumors?Supposedly Ironhide and ratchet are getting 2023 voyagers in ss86
>>9377110I don't... get it. The Hot Rod protoform started to look like who? And Optimus would never regret saving a kid, even if he knew exactly what would happen. He'd just be proud the kid he saved could go on to defeat Unicron.
>>9377096we need more guys like Soundwave, Shockwave, and Omega Supreme who are basically sexless neuterbots.. just to even things out so it doesn't feel like everybody's definitely a dude. have some dudebots, some ladybots, and some vague what the fuck clank-clank bots.
>>9377109I think in Superman's case it's more that people no longer trust those with power to use it responsibly. If someone came along who could do literally everything and was invincible, and he did good stuff, you'd appreciate the good things, but you'd still be suspicious of him. And you know there'd be a whole set of people flipping their everloving shit over it, like Lex wouldn't even have to try that hard to spread misinformation to turn half the population against him. We just can't trust anyone anymore. In Optimus's case I don't really get it so much. He's a noble resistance fighter leader. He believes freedom is the right of all beings. He's also a bit of a cowboy supercop. But you know what, no, I got it, it's the whole "Matrix of leadership chose me so I'm the destined leader savior" thing. But the stupid thing is, you can just change THAT part without having to make a bastard of him.
>>9377080>>9377082What did Marvel Prime do wrong? He lost his temper like a normal person pic related, grumbling about Dinobots I think before he fakes his own death so the Autobots can learn how to be less reliant on him) or made some mistakes, but I don't think there was anything that made him deserve what IDW Prime got.It might partly be subversion or just creativity to try and depict an otherwise wholesome or even infallible character as flawed and imperfect, but that can go too far the other way. And if you're coming from a "patriarchy bad" mindset as a writer, it's probably going to be even worse.>>9377094>>9377101I'm storytiming Regeneration One, and it's a near-constantly dreary and dark series. The loose ends from Marvel US are tied up, but said loose ends are mostly evil characters that weren't properly vanquished. Arguably Optimus should have killed them dead, even the Megatron-Ratchet abomination, and he and everyone suffers because of it. But despite it all, the series doesn't really blame or shit on Optimus nor does it beat you down with or end on "everything dies nothing matters" note. When the day is darkest, hope shines strongest.>>9377105>>9377109Soupman's super-ness is not his powers but rather his heart. Writers and fans who shit on him don't seem to get that. Injustice is a neat elseworlds concept, but it's not really a great thing to try to do with every wonderful character in the main continuity, for the sake of creativity.>>9377121What? But rumours say core for just Ratchet >>9376147>Wheelie will be packed twice>already an unpopular character, but now he's even more guaranteed as a shelfwarmer aka clearancerNo reason not to get him at this point.
>>9377101Well there's also the fact that whole generations now have grown up obsessed with entertainment in which nobody is allowed to really hurt anybody because boohoo it might damage us somehow to see violence. nevermind the super safe bullshit has just produced the worst generation imaginable. and then you got the peaceniks jumping on that bandwagon trying to turn everything into Marge's version of Itchy and Scratchy and.. there's no role models anymore for a good story about good crushing evil.
>>9377109>What if you had the power to help people?I would try to get around to it, but honestly? I'd spend a LOT of time flying around like Africa and places like that, just hugging the animals. Because I could. and when they bit me it wouldn't hurt. You go your whole life as regular-kid Clark Kent hearing "don't touch that raccoon, it might have rabies" and you look at it and it's so fucking cute.. "you can't keep tigers as pets" they tell you. "A chimp will eventually tear your face off" the MINUTE he develops super durability there's a lot of catching up to do.
>>9377135We're getting both core class figures in 2022 and voyagers in 2023 for the van bros
>>9377132They were killing Superman in the 80s, man. Bad writers believe that all characters need to be inherently evil or flawed in ways that make them bad people. They falsely believe that because Superman is a good guy who wants to do good, he must be doing it for bad reasons or obsessed with his own image or some shit like that. You can't have a character be flawed because they want good but make sacrifices that harm themselves, you gotta make a character that's secretly a turbo-narcissist. Honestly I just assume it's projection on guys like Miller for Superman, and 100% projection for guys like Roberts who god knows what he was thinking vilifying characters like Optimus and trying to make guys like Tarn into misunderstood sad bois.
>>9377125oh and animals.and like, one robot ghost.>>9377132the entire point of superheroes is rejecting big government power and mainstream law enforcement and instead relying on the goodness in the hearts of vigilantes. We know it wouldn't work in real life, for a number of reasons, but that's the point.every so often someone tries to do a Thunderbirds type show, or something about heroic police-ish or rescue types, or detectives.. and it's just dull dull dull. We don't want the duly deputized licensed dogooders who get paid for it. We want individualistic entrepreneurs. That's why so many people sided with House in New Vegas, god I was tempted myself.
>>9377142Hm, well if they're core class, I guess I can afford to get both..?>more G1 core class>Megatron still has a chip of paint dead center on his headHow the fuck do I explain this to myself to console, it's such a shitty place for battle damage
>>9377136What the hell are you talking about? If anything, things are more edgy these days. In 80s cartoons they had to use sparkly laser guns because they didn't want children to know bullet guns exist and everyone just got stunned instead of killed. The transformers movie was an outlier.
>>9377143the death and return of superman was a fucking excellent story though, it wasn't hero-bashing. if anything, it was showing that, even if your heroes die, someone else will step up to fill the void. Maybe four guys!of course, one of those might be a clone of that same guy. And two of them might turn out to be evil machines that have just taken his likeness. But that last one is John Henry Motherfucking Irons so it's gonna be okay. God it pisses me off so hard how DC wants to push melanin like crazy but they pick Cyborg as their vehicle for that when they have BLACK IRON MAN right there. rivets and all. fucking hammer. he's the best.
>>9377132On Superman: I mean yeah, that's fine. But he was created in the Great Depression, with Robber Baron's and shit working conditions still on peoples minds. That all applied back then. The world may be suspicious of him, but a writer shouldn't destroy him.And yeah, the Matrix adds some odd angles. I'm all for exploring that. I talked about it a thread ago. But he's still Orion then, and Orion was still a guy who stood up to people far outside his weight class. Really frame Orion getting the Matrix as Steve Rogers getting the serum, and then have the bad history of Primes make some people suspicious. But you don't have to go as far as IDW1 did to wreck him. It's so weird what Barber did. I think Barber came across as going further then he meant to. I'm not sure, but I hope so.
>>9377145oh that's also why GI Joe became a lot less boring when they went from generic army men to kooky mercenaries all playing by their own thematic rules.I guess when my dad was a kid, dumb basic shit like cowboys and policemen and whatnot was fun, but I grew up in the 90s and I want mutant misfits who have the ability to easily kill just.. SO many people, and choose not to. It appeals to my angry inner child.
>>9377145>the entire point of superheroes is rejecting big government power and mainstream law enforcement and instead relying on the goodness in the hearts of vigilantesThe entire point of superheroes is cool guy in fun costume saves people damn wish I could do that, how cool. This is some really dumb hyperanalyzing.>>9377149Not him but it has looped around after the 90s and early 00s to being trapped in a different kind of puritan hell.
>>9377136The fuck are you on about? The current generation loves Naruto where people die. Get off of /pol/ ya ding dong.
>>9377147it just looks like an intended part of the sculpt to me. if i'm even seeing it.. looks like right above the little square right above his nose is another, tinier square.it's actually a great place for battle damage if the autobots have a good sniper. or, like, a shepherd boy with a sling.
>>9377150Oh yeah not arguing that, just that remember, Dark Knight was going in the late 80s and that's literally just Miller going I HATE SUPERMAN I HATE SUPERMAN.
>>9377156autistic kids today like naruto? well shit maybe there's hope for them after all. I thought it was only my generation and the ones slightly younger'n me that liked it.
>>9377143The only thing that got screwed up with Superman in the 80s was allowing Byrne to end his run with Superman killing a Zod. Also that weird Barda sex tape thing. What the fuck.
>>9377160yeahhh.. but that's the subtitled black-and-white art film of 80s comics. everyone praises it, nobody really LIKES it.except that cute girl robin. Robin should always have been a cute girl from the start.
>>9377135The Autobots in general and kind of assholes in Marvel. Many times they'll ask for help from humans, putting them in danger and rarely do anything to make up for it, but then will happily ask for help knowing full well those humans are getting fucked over if they do so (Sparkplug's the best example, his life only gets worse any time Transformers showed up). Optimus killing himself over a computer simulation lead to a ton of issues , not to mention (if my memory isn't failing me since it's been over a decade) he also crashed the Ark on Earth so the entire war there is his responsibility. Then there's those times the Autobots kind of let the Decepticons to their own devices while they did other stuff. There's probably a lot that I'm missing, but I Prime wasn't a stellar leader.
>>9377143>You can't have a character be flawed because they want good but make sacrifices that harm themselvesThis is literally why Spider-Man is such a good superhero concept and why it's so baffling how rare his situation seems to be.Come to think of it, you'd think people would work more with Bumblebee since he's usually the ground-level audience-relatable character, but if anything he seems to be the one getting tossed under the angry boy bus these days.
>>9377158Yep, that's the one, right on his forehead. I stored him in a sock drawer out of sadness.>great place for battle damage if the autobots have a good sniperI was trying to explain Siege and Core Megs, uhhh maybe one went insane or transferred their spark/mind to another body after being sniped, but the Core Megs body uhhhhh also retained Megatron-ness? And is insane? Uhhh>or, like, a shepherd boy with a sling.Eheaheahae
>>9377169gotta admit I liked the arc in the baymovies where humans start out helping the autobots out, then get kinda justifiably pissy about how the war hasn't ended despite all these victories, and then cave at the first badguy ultimatum only for it to turn out to be a secret faked death. at no point does Optimus ever let them know how little they're actually helping, he just kinda goes along with it and does his best.
>>9377161One of the multitude of reasons American superhero comics are floundering is how popular manga is. Which weirdly addresses both points we're discussing. Many shonen heroes are altruistic just because. Or at least whatever their motivations, the stories aren't about tearing them down. My Hero Academia is about a kid wanting to be a super hero to help people, that is literally it. And that series is huge. And conversely even with these heroic characters, people still die and get maimed. My Hero airs in movie theaters and a main character had his face half burned off by his horrifically abusive father. Which also happened in Avatar come to think of it. Kids are not being mollycoddled by their fictions these days. I dare say, it's us with the adventure of the week laser show cartoons of the 80s who got coddled more.
>>9377172honestly it's so tiny I can't imagine it bothering me. If it were a little bigger it could be like a Gundamesque third eye if you colored it in, but.. it seems the plastic underneath is even the same color, so some light scraping would even it out maybe
>>9377169... I'll have to re-read or look into things again. I know Sparkplug suffered, but I thought Buster and Spike were relatively willing participants, as with good fren Blackrock?>Optimus killing himself over a computer simulation lead to a ton of issuesNo fucking shit ahahahahahaMarvel was a weird ride>he also crashed the Ark on Earth so the entire war there is his responsibilityIn Secrets and Lies yes, but he was planning on uh, all of them dying together. Intents still matter for morals, not just results! Results are very important though.>while they did other stuffH-huh>Prime wasn't a stellar leaderAaaa...>>9377181But it bothers me because I have crippling autism>same colorHuh? It seems to be black underneath.
>>9377170Yeah and even with Pete, everyone is terrified to actually let him have ONE happy fucking thing happen in his life. He's a good guy so he needs to always be suffering and always be dying. It's so painful. I think it's actually why I loved early IDW and specifically early MTMTE so much, it was just fun. It felt like a mix of a sitcom, star trek, and a bunch of other stuff together where you have flawed, funny heroes who want to do good instead of this greater moral bullshit thing that RiD was doing.
>>9377178A well articulated and well reasoned point.Maybe we're all just a bunch of old assholes who need to stop worrying about current generation and go back to playing with our toys for children.
>>9377178well at least manga WAS good. there's still some good ones but it aint what it used to beI'm just glad Hero Academia is finally addressing how shitty their setting is with everyone being locked down by the government and forbidden to even use their powers unless licensed and then only in the process of hero-ing.but in any case, I kind of meant maybe part of the problem is the people (our age) writing stuff today grew up on the edges-filed-off shit we had, and even the ones who WANT to make things edgier don't really know how. I know I've had trouble with it before. It's really hard putting real violence and continuity into something because you have to keep track of everyone's wounds and casualties..
>>9377187Spider-Man suffering is kind of his whole thing. That's why Spectacular is so great.
>>9377185It makes sense on paper-- they were in a simulation, and Megatron knew the cheat code to respawn (but still lost). In defeating Megatron in the simulation, Optimus destroyed some of the game npcs. He won, but at the cost of sacrificing his own morals, something he wouldn't have done if the battle had been "real". Thus he refused to accept that he had won at all.In execution, shit's retarded.
>>9377185they make silver sharpies, maybe that would help.
>>9377189Manga's still fine. We're just getting so much of it in the West we're seeing how much shit is really out there. But okay I do hate this Isekei stuff and the harem stuff is cringier then ever. I admit you're not entirely wrong. On your other point. There are tons of writers who can do that stuff just fine. I don't think keeping track is the problem. It's tone. The mix of heroic tone but with real stakes has been kind of lost. A lot of western writers are insisting on turning characters into assholes to justify the darker settings, instead of using the incongruity as part of the story.I don't want a Superman who gives up or is hated for failing to save people. I want a Superman who can fail and never gives up.
>>9377194I had about a dozen unsorted TF comics as a kid and that was one of them. I wasn't sure how to take it then and still aren't.
>>9377147>>9377194>Take a steak knife>Stab the fuck out of the MegatronHe has now seen some shit. He has come through.
>>9377189>manga WAS goodThis conversation is now stupid. What's running in SJ isn't all manga, and thinking that just because BNHA is falling off that means the entire manga industry is worse than (arbitrary time that you were reading them as a teen) is fucking dumb.
>>9377194Being mopey and mad about it are different to him decided he needed to die over it. He could have relinquished leadership or left, but killing himself was peak retardation.>>9377185>In Secrets and Lies yes, but he was planning on uh, all of them dying together. Still, in the original comic, the reason the crash happens there was his fault. At the end of the day, he had to set things right because he brought his war to another planet.
>>9377199well back when the comics weren't as available online, this was posted a lot and people were convinced context had to be lost or something. That it couldn't be that stupid. But it was. Nobody could ever believe this thing. Just awful writing. Budiansky was always stiff as shit.
>>9377198god it's like japan went even more autistic than we did. the repetition is insane..I just want DCAU to be everyone's inspiration forever. they got it RIGHT. just copy that, forever.
>>9377199>>9377204>>9377206It was 1986 so it was probably also a bit of "get rid of old characters/leaders" since Megatron winds up getting killed later on too. Ironically, the US comics would skip the whole The Movie cast for the most part and wouldn't get the factions leaders again until Headmasters the next year.
Can we please talk about something more positive, I’m sick and worried and this isn’t helping.
>>9377201most of what i'm complaining about is changes in art, really. 70s to 90s was so perfect.I don't know what you mean by falling off, it started great and it's finally addressing the one flaw it had.
>>9377211Maybe we could talk about toys, or something. Like this cool sonuvabitch.
>>9377210The movie cast all came out in the Headmasters mini. They didn't get as pushed in the comic as in the cartoon. And yeah, they had to get rid of Prime for the new toy. But goddamn was this a STUPID way to do it.
>>9377214Who is this use of the mold? I want more weirdos, and I need to find characters they can fit as.
>>9377214Yeh, got waspinator today, will have some good stories with him.
>>9377212>70s to 90s art was perfectShut up jesus christ. Art styles from the 70s to now in manga have been as varied as humanly possible and there is more skill and variety around today as a result of 90% of old creators still going. Stop nostalgia-fagging for a time and place you didn't actually exist in.>>9377217That's ROTF Mindwipe and his buddy who's name I can't remember. There's also several repaints including a blue Dreadwing set of the two of them.
>>9377178>these daysAvatar came out like 15 years ago
>>9377221Yeah I have the Mindwipe version, with the buddy. This isn't mine, I just have these pictures, but he's a pretty cool Nighthawk and his buddy is a drone fighter with a pretty rad robot mode - I really like the way the legs are kinda claw-like, it makes it possible to perch him on people's shoulders if you're careful, and he has pegs on them so you can actually have him ride on top of Mindwipe in robot or vehicle form.
>>9377214that is a cool motherfucker indeed. what does he turn into? some kinda stealth bomber?
>>9377221isn't the fact that I didn't really get solidly into what I knew was anime until the late 90s sort of justify my nostalgia for everything made prior to that? It's when you insist on the stuff made during your childhood that you're being monolithic.
>>9377228He's an F-117 Nighthawk. I looked it up and his buddy's Skystalker, by the way.
>>9377233oh those planes are gooood friends.I wonder why something here is seeming so nostalgic to me.. must have been enemies in some video game
>>9377238I enjoy that you can gerwalk the drone buddy.
>>9377240And robot mode for good measure. I should take pictures of mine posed at some point. Eventually.
>>9377194>Megatron cheated but Optimus went against his morals (for a bideo game)>Optimus says the go-ahead to die, as per the rules of the game (which is fair?)It does underline his morality so I don't think Optimus is morally blameworthy to tell Ethan to do that but uhIt IS pretty silly. And we always have a choice, no forgetting.>>9377197Iffy on doing art/paint work without knowing how it'd look like>>9377200No bullying>>9377204>Still, in the original comic, the reason the crash happens there was his fault.Yeah, I think so>At the end of the day, he had to set things right because he brought his war to another planet.I think there's a difference between being responsible and being blameworthy. Things can be dark, but there's always hope and light. I hope you get well soon. Hope there's more toy-only/OC beastformers, animals are comfy.
>>9377240haha fuck yes>>9377233>>9377238WAIT. is that what the Swat Kats flew?
>>9377214>>9377226Ahaha, I only just realized why I even had these pictures saved, this is actually Mindwipe and Skystalker combined in some weird way, I dont' think I ever figured out how to replicate it. It's like how people had the Elita combiner arranged to have fist-breasts or whatever it was, I almost didn't even realize it wasn't natural.
>>9377242cant be any worse than putting it in a drawer, right?
>>9377250A lonely drawer-warmer can always be retrieved, but an irreversible change to try and fix this mysterious paint-chip, I don't know...
>>9377194Everyone forgets, early marvel really played the idea of their minds being roboticBasically, the logic error wouldn't allow prime to win.
>>9377242>Waves elephant. He got it on a radio promo.
>>9377264Wouldn't that sort of be cheating for Soundwave, considering the contest was for the first caller? Or was he just that good..?
>>9377226>>9377221I've been meaning to track down Dreadwing and Smokescreen! I had their original toys and loved them. These don't thane entirely same same charm, but I do like the molds. They're rare though, right?
>>9377214>>9377249Speaking of fan modes
>>9377271I think Dreadwing might be the harder one to track down? If I recall correctly I got Mindwipe off ebay.
>>9377280I just checked. The two pack in their G2 colors is like 150.I hate how many cool robots there are.
Transformers Animated BlitzwingThe first new Blitzwing in in 20+ years? I think.Starting in jet mode, which is probably his weakest of the three.Paper thin wings on top of a very thick plane. Lot of gaps and panels not really pegging into anything.Having the transformation give him variable wings is neat. The cockpit does open even if it looks like it should.
>>9377312Next is tank mode aka Blitzwing's best mode.I love this adorable little thing. It's very plainly the robot balled up as tight as it can, but it's a very satisfying shape shift from jet mode.I just like the profile of the treads and the little viewing slot in the front. It caters to exactly me in a way I can't articulate.
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/13152So for some goddamn reason Facebook decide this was the add I needed. What the fuck is BBTS doing with molds this old? How is this still on their site? Did some intern trip over an eight year old box?
>>9377328They sometimes get older stuff in
>>9377328just like any online stores, theyre all used to be scalpers
>>9377319Finally robot mode, the middlest mode.Animated did a neat trick revitalizing this character into something more unique.Interesting decision to make his design very nazi-like, what with the cold demeanor and tall dark boots. I don't think had an overtly german accent but it has been a minute since I watch Animated.Articuation is very standard. Shoulders move on both axis, though not as far outwards as I'd like. Biceps, double elbows and inward bending wrists. No waist, Thighs move all around just fine. Ratchets are maybe a bit too soft. Thigh swivels and a very deep knee bend.
well shit now i'm paranoid a nice and cheap ebay listing in the US might have been someone who bought bootlegs and wants to offload 'em
>>9377340It seems PotP got hit real hard for bootlegs. I feel your pain. It's hard to tell from pictures.
>>9377342>PotP got hit real hard for bootlegsYou can never stop the Chinese from ripping off a dinosaur toy
>>9377375How the fuck is it gonna be that small overall? How fucking small or how compressed are the individual bots gonna be then?
>>9377375>30 cm>chonky and heavy enough for a stand> lot of details and points of articulationHe's good
>>9377375You can just call Takara Tomy and ask about upcoming products?
>>9377278whoa, just like my japanese animes>>9377319very Metal Slug>>9377336didnt he have three heads with like, three different german accents? one of them was the ahnold, one was the more colonel klink kinda guy, and one was like a psycho mad scientist..
>>9377388oddly enough yes. one of the oldest, most obsolete things a company could maintain, they still hire people for that. they give them stock information to read out.
>>9376143I can't decide between Kingdom T Rex Megatron or Cyclonus. Which one has the most fun transformation?
I think what Windblade really needs is a voyager class toy. All her previous toys are flawed in some way, like how none them know what to do with her arms in jet mode, and being stuck as a deluxe class probably contributes to it.
>Origins Bee (with the rods) is like 34 CAD (27 USD)>it's selling out/people are looking for themHm.>>9377312>Paper thin wings on top of a very thick plane.Reminds me of the Dreadwing bros..>>9377319Tank didn't look realistic, but it DID look very fun, glad the toy took it well.>>9377336Hm hm, mixed feelings about animated aesthetics, although I do appreciate what I heard about the show>>9377375What's this for, Raiden? Really?>>9377527Don't really think she needs to be a voyager, it's just that there was no real excuse for them to mess up the prior figures. TR's a bit wobbly in the head but she's vaguely pleasant. She's in some drawer or shelf but she's alright, pretty.
>>9377319I absolutely adore this tank mode. Admittedly I consider Animated Blitzwing to be the definitive version of the character so maybe I'm biased.
Has RTS Wreck-Gar aged well? I can get him for cheap. T30 Skids?
>>9377567well G1 and BB doesn't give him any characters
>>9377574Avoid wreck gar. He's got bad breakage with his handle bars.
>>9377575Yeah, G1 was literally just "Grrr I am angry dude" and in BB he might as well have been Ramjet or Redwing or some other D-lister Seeker. Though to be fair I did like his scene in BB, and I absolutely love the design for him. Still mad HasTak screwed up his SS figure so badly, especially when his onscreen transformation is so coherent and honestly easy to translate into plastic. Even if they'd still given him a madeup plane mode they could have done a better job with the transformation (which would have lead to a better jet mode); it's pretty similar to ROTF Breakaway, so they could have pulled an SS Starscream and used that as reference.
>>9377574both have excellent vehicle modes, but yeah the handlebars are rubber so don't manipulate themaesthetically i'd say wreckgar in united metallic paintjob is one of the nicest decos in history
>>9377542>TR's a bit wobbly in the head but she's vaguely pleasant. She also has a brick on the back of her head. Why Hasbro decided to make a headmaster out the most human looking noggin in the whole franchise I'll never know.
>>9377608Yeah she has probably the best face of all the windblade figures but it's kinda ruined when you look at it from any angle other than head-on(hah)Honestly its annoying since all the various windbladeses seem to do a few things right while failing in other regards. I've settled on the RID/TAV version but her backpack is a little cumbersome and lack of wrist articulation is really crippling for a sword user. There's probably a few other fembots or cons who really would benefit from a Hotrod style deluxe+ treatment a lot more from windblade though
>>9377172This is now my headcanon on how the war started.
>>9377678Based.>yfw the new Menasor is this and not G1
>>9377691Pretty shit quality, looks like it has parts of Waspinator or it's fake and I'm wasting my time.
>>9377691Seems like a lot of metallic paint on him? Looks decent so far
>>9377678Why? Ain't nothing wrong with this one
Fake, it's from a youtube video
>>9377741Not sure, there seem to be a few differences. Aside from the obvious bug eye size, the robot waist seems different?
>>9377749You're blind anon.
>>9377737Not so easy to get these days. Then again, imagine if a future line comes with UT reissues like the current BW ones
>>9377375Don't see how that's possible, all things considered.
>>9377405Then why the fuck are we always waiting for leaks? Just ask.
>>9377864Cause they'll only give you info of already announced product, duh.
>>9377864There's no point, Hasbro does the announcements and release their products first, TakaraTomy then starts doing the same a few months later. TakaraTomy adopts the same practice as Bandai does by announcing items that will go on pre-order just an hour or so after the fact. But it's Hasbro who for some reason can't get a clear timetable, announcing waves after they're released to the store shelves and acting coy about their existence and announcing shit that is virtually irrelevant to anyone's interest like that Kickstarter chess set that failed.
>>9377375What combiner is this talking about? Menasaur?
>>9377388I remember the time that Alex Kubalsky (designer for Classics Mirage, Hound among others) said he got the job because he called Takara's customer service and since he spoke english they just assumed that's why he was calling.
Interestingly, the Mayhem Attack Squad in the new Wreckers comic is all pretenders.Maybe Octopunch and Finback are getting core class toys in 2023.
>>9377494They're both really good!
>>9377494They're both really good, and Megs in particular gets notable mention for having super poseability in both forms - he's not just a fun Transformer, he's also a great T-Rex toy in general. Still, I guess it boils down to what you like more - are you more of a G1 fan, or a Beast Wars fan?
>>9377494megatron has the fun of figuring out how exactly you want to arrange his back kibble. it has a few options that have pros and cons, I like lifting it all up from his hip area
>>9377898haha sweet. i wish I could design transformers. but imagine seeing your designs butchered and changed for budget reasons..
I just picked up Shadow Panther on a whim, having no prior knowledge of the character and no prior experience with Cheetor. What is this stupid little flap supposed to do? It looks like wasteful design because it doesn’t add anything to the look and feel, and it also doesn’t contribute to the transformation.
>>9378206It’s a decent toy, otherwise, though I’m inclined to shave down some a bit from his rear knees to get him into lower poses in cat mode.
>>9378206it was in the original, as part of what completed his back (which the arms folded out of)so now it's just a legacy piece that does nothing, but makes him look more like the old toy and of course the character.let me know how that editing works because I feel similarly but without a heel joint there's little point in it. it's still good for a massmarket deluxe.
>>9377583How bad or salvageable is it..?>>9377589Well, it'd be bought Used, so hmm..>unitedI think it's the RTS one...? I'd have to check again>>9377608>She also has a brick on the back of her head.Reminds me of the Norm joke about the pumpkin head>>9377635Eheahaehaehae>>9377691>>9377735A-a lot of paint on whoIs this Inferno..? Wide ant head>>9377741Fuck>>9378034They deserve more love..
>>9378212Arrrrrr the nautical pretenders be some of the best, arrrr
>>9378308I want more boats and submarines... make a 2 or 3 pack of core/legends-size figures like the clones if you have to, I want them aaFrom vague recollection, think the pretender waves worked out so that like, each faction had roughly the same amount of aquatic boys, how nice.
>>9376696>>9376594but why buy it though? it looks like transcraft bumblebee and that one does transform....but has a false front >:( but at least it isn't the cancer of transform element beetle, fuck that piece of shitty engineering and quality.
>>9378332have we ever gotten a wooden-ass sailing ship that turns into a piratebot and the sail is his capeor failing that, a modern battleship or subaleen
>>9378374I need thisI need all these thingsI want my Captain Shark fix from Brave but I'll take whatever I can get. Aaaaaa
>>9378374>have we ever gotten a wooden-ass sailing ship that turns into a piratebot and the sail is his capeYeah, that's happened
>>9376278>>9376471I loved the design, but his execution in IDW felt like it was SUPPOSED to blue ball you. They hype him up like he's some planet destroying event villain, then they just shoot at him with a bunch of regular weapons and he goes down. Now I just kind of want a toy accurate, or marvel accurate Thunderwing.
>>9378386what the shit is this. it doesnt look like it has ship parts.
>>9378401You'll take your turn of the century partsforming and you'll like it.
>>9378414ah there we gogaryun is a good pun at least
>Happy to have RotF Mindwipe in my hands again>He's with Skystalker too>wake upWhy does my subconscious constantly have to do me like this?
>>9378440my dreams always come up with the coolest, most original transformery zoidy dinosaur mecha toys and then i find them for cheap prices at stores and grab like 6 of themtheyre usually big too, like 8 by 12 motherfuckersbut I never get home or open them up and play with them, it's all about feeling good that i found them in the store. then i wake up
>>9378349>transcraft bumblebeeDoesn't that have a breakage issue?
>>9378440It’s not in my subconscious anymore, Dreadwing and Smokescreen were available on BBTS, I bought them both immediately. They’re on the way now, along with the rest of my Loot.
>>9377278ZOTE as fuck.
Let's say go!>>9378485
Okay well let's do what we did last time then. Report goanon, ignore/shitpost in his thread so it's unusable, and then make an actual proper new thread in a few hours. Can someone post his dox shit again so he fucks off for a few days?
>>9378494That won't work.
>>9378509Well thanks for admitting you're not going to be talking about toys.
>>9378521You admitted last time you shat up the board that you didn't want to talk about TFs.
>>9378539I DO want to talk about TFs. But if you're going to have a tantrum every time I make a thread then we'll be in this loop for the rest of eternity.
Anyone own the Bumblebee movie SS figures? I'm on a kick of wanting to get some figures to rep the film but I can't decide to commit to these (I have Thrust, he's pretty cool).
>>9378545Only have Blitzwing and while he's okay, he has the same undercarriage problems that the other recent movie jets have. Plus that honestly disappointing fake chest. Just makes me want to get Nitrozeus off the shelf.
>>9378556I can deal with some fake parts (though I do find the egregious use of it for ss deluxes, were they end up with the whole alt mode on their back to be a real put off). My main thing is just how simplistic they look due to the paintjobs, maybe I should try my hand at giving them a black wash and adding some details.
>>9378487Well tried go anon.. but no
>>9378569Yeah it's the same for me. I'm fine with fake parts to a degree, like SS Hot Rod is perfect in that regard, but shit like the BB Seekers where it's just the entire fucking alt mode hanging off the back/bottom of each? Just makes me pine for WfC figures where we had the cybertronian alt modes that lead to decent transformations and weren't 50% kibble.
>>9378611YWhen will they let Guidi design transformers again?
>>9378617Yeah I like it too, fixes the problem I have with Windblade not looking like she fits in with the more traditionally designed bots, it was really noticeable in that Star Trek crossover comic.I'd love if they gave him the opportunity to flex his creativity, I bet he could come up with some unique concepts that would make for great figures.
>>9378611Nice, that would probably get both her and thrust more frequent toys
>>9378636The era of Figueroa and other comic artists designing TFs led to some of the best shit we ever got, and I'd love to see other ones try their hand. I still pray that someday we get a line that includes Roche designs beyond the vague inspiration that led to T30 Springer.
>>9378617He's drawing the current IDW SG comics rn soo..
>>9378664I wonder if he’s designing the ones with new colours, or if hasbro made them for the toys and just handed them off to him
>>9378664It's crazy how the art quality alone makes me so much more interested in this ongoing than the main one.
>>9378664Yeah, shame I can't stomach the writing. Least we got 84 with him going full in on the marvel style inking.>>9378669Definitely the latter, sadly. Bunch of artists talked about how they more or less agreed as an aggregate to copy the current toy designs for "unified visions" or some shit like that. I didn't buy it and just assumed it was to make life easier on the fanartists they hired who are doing interiors on the mainline stuff right now, especially when they're mostly using the boxy Siege designs.
>>9378676^.. they now all copy the toy designs... because some of the artists are shit through.. long is gone the era of LSOTW or MTMTE/LL with their cool original designs achievable by both Hasbro and 3P.. now everything is boxy shit or full toy accuracy without substance in it
>>9378611Strange, but might grow on my if I saw one in person.
>>9378693Yeah like I know that Roche/Guidi/Milne can't do interiors until the end of time but good fucking god looking at how shit the new art is, it's difficult not to get upset. Especially when Skold is the closest thing to an actually new character. Like shit I just really want the fucking MTMTE originals like the DJD and funky new takes that led to new toys like bomber Megatron in RID.
>>9378701If we ever get a dedicated mold for Slipstream, I could see her being a easy remold, like a reverse of their Legends toys.
>>9378708That'd be neat, it's kind of weird how Slipstream hasn't gotten nearly the same corporate push as Windblade. How many toys has she had? I don't have one of her yet.
>>9378805>How many toys has she had? I don't have one of her yet.Not many arguably that one is currently the one you can get of her, expensive though at this point.https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Slipstream_(Animated)#Toyshttps://tfwiki.net/wiki/Slipstream_(WFC)#Toyshttps://tfwiki.net/wiki/Slipstream_(Cyberverse)#Toys
>>9378440>Why does my subconscious constantly have to do me like this?If I had to guess, probably our desire for that specific figure manifestating in the form of a dreamI know your pain.>Wandering around in Target>Find Earthrise Thrust in the pillow section>Walk into self-checkout to buy him>wake up
>>9378812Shame, I hope she isn't forgotten and gets a new toy before long. Also comfy thread.
>>9378644You might get your wish if the Tarantulas rumours are true.
>>9378805Slipstream is in a weird spot. Despite being something of a cult favorite, she's never really had a proper update. A lot of her new appearances, most notably her legends toy, were implicitly or explicitly meant to be her Animated self specifically. Cyberverse is the only major update she's ever had, and wouldn't you know it they kill her off unceremoniously in the first season. She technically doesn't even have a proper G1/CHUG version. The closest is IDW2 Slipstream, but that one is just a lift of Cyberverse's design, which means she doesn't even match the other seekers in the book who use the siege mold.
>>9378825I like to think she's in that boat that Lockdown and Bulkhead are in, just needs a good piece of media to solidify her status.
>>9378837What do you dislike about it?
>>9378829Her IDW2 design is neat enough that I'd buy a Generations toy of it just to have her represented in my collection, even if her Legends one weren't expensive I'm not a big fan of that first Windblade mold to begin with.>>9378831Barricade and Drift seem to have made the leap into "established character", I'd hope Lockdown/Bulkhead/Slipstream join them eventually. Oil Slick too, if only because I like his cool design and concept as a Decepticon chemist bikerbro.
>>9378840Yeah it’s cool to see Barricade and Drift becoming more core-cast decepticons. Weird that we haven’t really gotten many Drift/Deadlock toys lately though
>>9378826Irritating desu since the rest of the Predacons are pretty show accurate so far, at least in terms of robot modes. Like I love TM Tarantulas and would shit my pants at the concept, same as Roche's design. Just I don't want one weirdo not fitting the aesthetic among the slavishly show accurate toys.
What is the solution to the Toonish Question?
>>9378880Accept that people have different preferences for what they like.
>>9378880What is the Toonish Question?
>>9378880Continue to watch as takara stops making toys that way, considering the only MPs that are coming out are all toy accurate or sakamoto accurate.
>>9378896The problem of the existence of the Tooner, AKA a "fan" of Transformers who rejects everything except the G1 cartoon and hates anything that strays from its badly-animated imagery. They poison the well for other fans and are pandered to by HasTak (at least until recently as mentioned by >>9378898). Their influence is dangerous to the quality of the brand.
>>9378904I think it’s perfectly fine for people who only want cartoon-accuracy to exist, as long as they don’t ruin it for everyone else. With such definitive versions of the G1 characters coming out these days though, they’ll hopefully quieten down.
>>9378898>sakamoto accurateMore of this, please.
>>9378904They really don't have influence outside of 3p, and even then, there's a decent amount of non-toon styled stuff lately. A couple of years ago I would've agreed with you but they're not doing anything nowadays. Hell I'd actually prefer that they stuck to it with the BW stuff, since I'd much, much rather have show accurate beast modes than the weird realistic but not actually realistic animal modes we got in Dinobot and some of the others.
>>9378913>With such definitive versions of the G1 characters coming out these days though, they’ll hopefully quieten down. You'd think so but there are unironically people who want an EVEN MORE G1 accurate Voyager G1 Prime.
>>9378917I also want Legends back.
>>9378921I don’t see that happening any time soon. The current leader prime is our G1 prime going forward. I expect him to replace MP10 as the crossover repaint magnet
>>9378921>>9378953You just know SS86 Prime is coming.Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...
>>9378989You're probably right, however.
>>9378924Is there anywhere I could find those comics translated?
>>9379033Pretty sure you can find them on TFW ironically. Iirc there's been threads where people post them translated, but they are organized horribly.
>>9377494Just get Cyclonus, Beast Megatron is out of scale with the rest of the G1 cast of transfomrerrs in the line anyways
>>9378332I want a G1 (Or I guess just modern engineered) Thunderblast. So yeah, a boat is nie too.
>>9378842Is like to see Blackout join the “Evergreen” cast
>>9378449Jesus fuck when did that sell out? How did I miss it?Goddamntittyfuckbitch.
>>9378617Good illustration but the Titans return design is way betterToo bad even though they “used” it for the comic it was super off model thanks to the shitty artwork, and he jobs anyway to BUMBLEBEE
>>9378611Naw. She's not a Seeker. It's an unholy combination.
>>9379092Yeah I think what most excites me about Legacy is the rumour that they’ll be doing other continuities in the chunky G1 style
>>9378829She's also a weird case because her body always implied a female Seeker would have a different shape than a male one. But then Cyberverse established Nova Storm was a woman too, and the case got all fucky.
>>9378840Bulkhead and Lugnut both seemed prime for that retroactive G1 "upgrade" I'm surprised neither really went further.
>>9378921Honestly I do wonder if there's a way to tuck the butt tires up into his sides sort of like the Siege mold. And fix the remolded legs. It sucks because Earthrise Prime is just flat out amazing, best we've ever had. But there are also obvious ways for him to be better.
>goanon's thread got deletedFantastic.>>9379095Eh, I really do like the TR toy, but I'd much rather him actually be Quake and not a repaint.
>>9379116Excellent news, maybe he'll take the hint for a change>>9379104I don't care much for Bulkhead but I don't hate the guy, Lockdown on the other hand is pretty rad and I'd welcome his permanent addition to the grey area in between autobots/decepticons.
>>9379116Looks like he’s moved the discussion to an old goanon thread. How many versions of tfg do we have going at once?
>>9379116Technically it got archived>>9378487Honestly I didn't know mods could archive threads without them getting bumped off by other threads
>>9379124After the go-posting started it inflated from 1-2 /tfg/s at once (usually one thread about to fall off the board and a new one made a few minutes before that happened) to 4-5 up at any one time. The whole purpose of a general is consolidation, having multiple generals on the catalog at once is beyond retarded and that OP is indeed a massive faggot.
>>9379126Same, but same difference as far as I'm concerned. Got a bunch of art from Naoto Tsushima saved so I'm gonna post the new general in an hour or so with the pastebin. >>9379122I doubt it, but one can hope.
>>9379122I'm noting Bulkhead for how he managed to go straight from Animated to Prime. Lugnut had an Animated toy and was so liked he got one from some line I forget which were it was retro'ed into being a G1 take on the character. And works well standing behind Siege Megatron, let me tell ya.
>>9379134>>9379122Man you were on about Lockdown and I didn't include him, He was in only one cartoon, but he also had a film toy that was retro'ed into a G1 toy too. So there was a demand/desire for him in that broader part of the fandom.
>>9379134>he got one from some line I forgetRotF i believe, technically a movie toy though like you say that design got assigned as default for him after the fact. I do love how both of his toys are ridiculously tall for being deluxes.
>>9379138I'm.... not sure you noticed we're discussing two different L-named Cons introduced in Animated. But yeah, Lockdowns legs just accordion out, giving him fantastic presence and a novel lank on a shelf. He's all in proportion, but there's nobody else like him.
>>9379092Is that supposed to be G1-fied Blackout or movie Vortex?
As I recall, Legacy Knockout will be a Jazz retool, do you guys think that will work well? Do you reckon they’ll retool it to change the alt mode, or just do the head?
>>9379144Definitely G1ified Blackout. Thought his colors are very Vortex like. Weird mix. I would suspect a G1 Blackout would use different colors, heavier on black.Have we seen any takes on a G1 Blackout in fiction?
>>9379141I for one blame my rampant alcoholism since I'd meant to quote >>9379137Lugnut is great too though, I like the big loyal dipship bruiser and hope he comes back around one day. I definitely regret not getting his Generations toy. What was that, Hunt For The Decepticons or something?
>>9379145I'm really disappointed if it is just going to be a shitty retool, Knock Out really deserves his own [good] figure.
>>9379145Honeslty it works okay. Jazz transformed into a Porshe for some kind of racing. Now racing isn't the most Knockout thing, though he did do it. But he's a sports car kind of guy through and through. You make his colors pristine and maybe just a tad showy (Two tones of red or something?) and Jazz is a solid choice. The torso will be wrong, but only Sunstreaker or Sideswipe may have the right one. And Knockout is red, so using Sideswipe for that is weird. And I see him as wanting smooth curves, so Sunstreaker is too geometric for him.
>>9379151I think Reveal the Shield? Don't quote me there. I imagine him being Megatron's personal enforcer and bodyguard. Not that he needs one, just that kicking the ass of whatever dipshit disappointed him is below him at the moment. Unless it's Starscream.
>>9379156It's a funny idea to have a hulking bruiser, who Megatron could likely take in a 1v1, be so hopelessly devoted that he volunteers for bodyguard duty much to Megatron's annoyance.
>>9379167>Because salty trollsDoesn't that just scream trolling in /toy/? the thread is obviously a troll post, quite bannable indeed, the spamming is also a bannable offense isn't it?
>>9379173Report/ignore, he's had enough (you)s for one night.
>>9379172Yeah, I figure Megatron is annoyed at him acting damn near like a pet at first. But then he learns to employ him for tasks he feels beneath himself.Lugnut is definitely one I display with my Nemesis crew. Gotta beef their numbers up a bit.
>>9379177Lugnut fits the Nemesis Crew perfectly, have him be jealous of Skywarp waking up first. HE wanted the honor of waking up the Supreme Leader.
>>9379180Such disorderly disruptions SHOULD be enough to get Lugnut demoted, but nobody can argue with the results of his violent outbursts when defending Megatron's honor in combat, so he gets to stick around.
>>9379154Considering where his headlights are, I think a Jazz/Prowl-type body works better than Sideswipe would
>>9379188Oh yeah, true. I was thinking of his flat hood. He's an odd mix.

GOD I miss Lugnut.
>>9379184>>9379199Imagine Starscream trying to sneak around Lugnut with him acting like a bouncer.
>>9379194The weirdest part would be Jazz’s back wheels. I wonder if they could retool it to bring them in a bit or if the legs are in the way
>>9379209Poor Megatron, every bot in his immediate inner circle is always fighting amongst one another and/or plotting to depose him. Such is life.
>>9379221You give people feces to eat to call yourself benevolent then throw a tantrum when others want to give the people actually edible

>>9379234You deserve no better. Now get back to work, Starscream.
>>9379229>>9379234No reply, just report

>>9379244No, of course I wouldn't seeing as I made the actual thread (linked here: >>9379167). But if you're going to skulk in here I'll follow you here too.
>>9379244He literally called himself god in that thread too, wtf
>>9379250Yeah no I think the shit in the last week has actually mentally damaged him.
Okay, here we go.Y'know Hasbro, a video of a fully finished prototype of Star Saber feels like something you show BEFORE the deadline, not after.
>>9379269Thanks, and sorry bro. I assume we won't be dealing with this fucker much longer. But yeah. I don't know why in the fuck they gave us an unpainted prototype in the first place, THEN a digibash, THEN an actual coloured prototype. I think they assumed that people would buy it brainlessly instead of waiting to see like most intelligent people would. Especially when the painted prototype looks so fucking good.
>>9379244He requires attention, don't give him any.
>>9379275Man I got fucking sick of TR boat guns, but there is something adorable about them even now. Probably helps that alot of the non-headmaster characters that got made into HMs are getting proper or have proper replacements that I now look back on it happily.
>>9379281You already tried that. It didn't work.
>>9379281I saved some photos of his posts that were not included in the collection I'll post them now
>>9379293Eh, don't bother. He's had enough attention today, and his ban is definitely incoming. Let's just continue to actually talk about shit that matters.>>9379269Starting a crowdfunding campaign with fucking this shit was not a good plan.
>>9379283Some of them work, some of them don't imo. Misfire's two guns are alright, Skullcruncher's tail sucks.
Which of your bots like spending time outside? I never took photos of bots outside, but it looks fun.>>9379291I only went through 2015-2019 so far. >>9379300For me it's Triggerhappy. I know he's one of the best toys in the last decade, if not ever, but even with the boatguns he pulls it off better than anyone else.
>>9379309>D-do you not have a jobMy job is keeping the /tfg/ running on time.
>>9379309>I never took photos of bots outsideYou and I briefly discussed this before, you said you were worried about getting your toys dirty and folks seeing you out taking pictures of children's toys in your yard. I still encourage you to experiment with outdoor photography in your backyard at least, a little nature and a nice focus go a long way to making a good picture, and unless you're taking pictures of toys in a mud puddle they're not likely to get too dirty in my experience.>>9379313I found a pair of unnecessary addons for his guns on thingiverse, replacing the gaps with a square bit with an attached ammo drum. It looks alright I suppose, but you don't really need it.
>>9379321Yeah I just put his guns in my parts box when I got his Targemaster. Honestly kinda mad at myself for not getting the Legends one way back since it has the 5mm hole for said Targemaster, but what are you gonna do.
>>9379321>You and I briefly discussed this beforeHow do you know who I amBut uh, I don't really fear the social judgement, just the worries about the figures getting damaged in some shape or form, or things getting lost. I'd presume I could have them stand on unseen bits of tissue or clean tree bark, but I have no idea how people took photos of them on beaches or straight up next to fires.>>9379313The targetmaster jets pull it off alright, honestly most of the dual weapons are fine as long as you never put them together. Wish there was a openable cockpit or lid that you could just keep closed and pretend it's a regular gun.
Just got back. Mods vaporize Goanon?
>>9379330The only things to fear are fear itself and RotF Deadend.Just don't take out a bunch of easily lost bits, only take out the figure you want to photograph and take your pics.

PROTIP for the Ark: don't ignore the instructions. The mini Optimus Prime is taped to them.
>>9379353How does tiny Optimus scale against the tiny Aerialbots that came with TR Broadside?
>90% of pretender altmodes are just legs folded up towards the torsoHm. The water guys are sometimes alright though.>>9379090Thunderblast? Oh, the tiddy from UT. If pretenders are pretty similar engineering-wise, I'm sure a remold into TB wouldn't be too difficult. Boats are really comfy. One gimmick I've secretly liked for toys is them being able to float. It'd be a nightmare for some stuff, but I used to like playing with certain plastic frens as a kid in the bath.>>9379353Yeah, it's good in general to check all the pieces and backs of the box, etc. Warpath's flap thing, I think maybe Arcee's gun or other is taped to the back of the cardboard thing. Best to just take everything out and give it a once-over - I know Warpath's thing was often said to be missing, presumably because they threw the bit out. Not entirely sure who's blameworthy.>>9379358That's such a specific question... I don't have the Ark but I can try finding and measuring the Aerialbots tomorrow, they're still in their plastic runners.
>>9379362I rather like the simplistic nature of the Pretenders, it's as if they're basic-bitch shock troops with standardized designs before signing onto the Pretender program. And the tiny Aerialbots are like 1mm square, I just wondered if tiny Prime was roughly the same size, he seems to be given what I've seen.
>>9379369>basic-bitch shock troopsHm, sort of like the action masters, some of them were hyped as pretty competent and important, whereas I'm seeing miners like Landmine, scouts like Sky High, naval commander Splashdown... but yeah, a quick skim makes it seem that these guys are often (whilst talented) support guys in the background - scouts, surveillance, etc.>1mm squareHm..>I just wondered if tiny Prime was roughly the same size, he seems to be given what I've seen. It'd be pretty cute if he'd be displayed well with the Aerialbots, huh. Hm, what other figures had microscopic addons like that?
>>9379376>Hm, sort of like the action mastersDefinitely, I always liked the idea of the background grunt over the supersoldier so the nobodies appeal to me. It's interesting though, after so long at war the Cybertronian race pretty much just gets whittled down in the end to the baddest supersoldiers, or at least the most resourceful bots. Mid-level mooks just wouldn't make it through millions of years of warfare. I ramble but I guess my point is that even the nobody G1 bots must be badass enough to have survived so long in the first place, despite not having top billing in every episode/comic.
>>9379218That’s what happens when you cultivate an army where every second guy thinks he’s an evil genius surrounded by fucking morons and every third guy is a kill-crazy psychopath.
>>9379380>I always liked the idea of the background grunt over the supersoldier so the nobodies appeal to meThis taste definitely developed over time for me.>pretty much just gets whittled down in the end to the baddest supersoldiers, or at least the most resourceful botsCould be the inverse too, you'd want the tactical victory or the glory and muh promotions to take down a big-name heavy hitter than waste ammo on a D-lister - could almost imagine some semi-forced premise of "a-all the big-names are dead, the main cast is just rando losers and civvies/grunts on both sides now", almost like what many of us had to do as kids without the bigname guys. That's partly why Ramjet was special to me, I didn't have Optimus or Megatron Kreons, just a handful of blindbag ones from waves 1-4. Galvatron, Hot Rod, Scorp, and a bunch of randos who became important to me.>Mid-level mooks just wouldn't make it through millions of years of warfareWouldn't they? Non-frontliners like science/tech/intel guys, scouts, transport, etc might survive just due to the nature of their work, and I have some hope in these mooks that they'd be #strongertogether when they're all doing something like, air defense or whatever. Like how some games have troop deployment cost- sometimes it might be better to have 10 Blades instead of 1 Thunderwing.>I ramble but I guess my point is that even the nobody G1 bots must be badass enough to have survived so long in the first place, despite not having top billing in every episode/comic.I do too, no worries. But yeah, all the named bots are still survivors, and the bios generally give them some skill or have them above-average in some stat.>most named bots are above-average in strength or intelligence, what's going onThe average bots are probs the ones we never see or hear about, I guess..? Come on, every character is someone's favourite out there, hopefully.
Been waiting on my Galvatron preorder from BBTS for forever now, the fuck is wrong?
>>9379387I always saw the masters/pretenders/gimmick guys as super-soldiers, costly to produce but worth it.Targetmasters: Living artillery combined with perfect marksmanship with no ill-effects should the partners be separatedPowermasters: Organic-fuel substitutes that in energy-starved times can run at full capacity without depleting Energon stores. Headmasters: Binary-bonded soldiers with two minds running in perfect sync, react faster, think faster and fight with greater efficiency.Pretenders: Techo-organic symbiotic armor allows wearers to be in two places at once and endure environments/damage that would kill a normal CybertronianThose sound like super-soldier variations.
>>9379399>masters/pretenders/gimmick guys as super-soldiers, costly to produce but worth itHm, I mean I think half the headmasters were mentally ill, but I might be misremembering. Yeah, I think I'm completely misremembering.Skullcruncher grinds his teeth from stress in alligator mode but also uh eats bots, Mindwipe's into spooky stuff. Not sure what I was thinking about then- oh it might have been the absolute lack of synergy, and overall stress or hostility between the bot and the nebulan partner ahaha..>perfect marksmanshipNever really got how as guns, targetmasters helped you aim. Do they all have fine-tuned nozzles? Or from their binary-bond they shift their wielder's arm a little?>in energy-starved times can run at full capacity without depleting Energon storesAh, a backup might be pretty handy, as well as some bonuses if you have your main and powermaster engine running at the same time or something - I don't know how machines work, but more power is good, right?>running in perfect sync, react faster, think faster and fight with greater efficiencyTh-that's the idea... Honestly the best case scenario is something so comfy and amazing, having a buddy who knows you so perfectly well and is in tune with you.. provided you're not both insufferable people..>two places at onceI completely forgot about this ability they had haha, but yeah, those shells are supposed to be pretty tough, I think people forget that. Good points anon, hope this helps people appreciate the later weirder lines a bit more. I know I didn't at first.
>>9379406Almost forgot, some of the Headmasters got superpowers from their bonding.Targetmaster do undergo binary-bonding, probably less severe and intensive than the other two but the mental link is formed. With both minds sharing an arm rather than a body is assume those shots are hitting home. Especially for Crosshairs who is a sniper outright. The G1 line was an arms race, new technologies led to war escalation which requires new combatants.
>they hard deleted it this time
>>9379414>some of the Headmasters got superpowersWhat? Who? What?>Targetmaster do undergo binary-bondingYeah, that's a forgotten aspect, but what does that do, exactly - I'm not sure if engines or guns control bodies the same way heads do - otherwise a headmaster is a meh upgrade compared to aimmy targetmasters or fuely powermasters. Hm..>sharing an armBut it'd be at least both arms, and whatever they're plugged into for their altmodes, so uhhhh>CrosshairsI was gonna post Siren...>arms raceI sort of had the Constructicons and Combaticons do that, deciding whether to research better guns/ammo, comboner tech, or something super-secret. >>9379440Well we’ve never seen a Targetmaster duo suffer from the “problems” that the other two have. Like I said, sharing an arm (or two) isn’t the same as sharing a body and linking your minds. Cyclonus didn’t suffer a mental shutdown when Nightstick was crushed in front of him.Simply put, Headmasters are like Symbiotes and the Targetmaster is more like a Cortana situation, still a partnership but the bond is different. >>9379501I’m the one who mentioned it. It’s a half-remembered leak, so take that for whatever veracity you will. I’ll have a look and see if I can find where I saw it

>>9379505>>9379508That's fine, thank you for checking, I was was mainly just curious if it was for sure or not.

>>9379501A tfw leaker mentioned that the new knock out looks a lot like ss86 jazz. It sounds like hastak reshelled all the car parts at least.
>>9379522SS86 is a good Jazz. He has a little crack on his windscreen, but other than that it’s one of my favourite figures.
>>9379522I genuinely believe it had to be that. He made it so clear what he was doing was purely antagonistic and then after getting slapped once and surviving, he pushed his luck and got shot. Hoping he caught a longer ban than 3 days this time, especially since we now actually have a pastebin. Was thinking of adding places to buy new/used stuff to it when I get up tomorrow if I'm around when we hit pg10. Nice as the upcoming is, would be nice to list off good places for new like BBYS, TFsource, A3U, etc, and places like Mandarake for used. Anyone got suggestions?
>>9379573You're a good Jazz>small crackLike, is it just "the best Jazz", or is he A Good Figure? Whew, alright.>list of good placesOnly know stuff for Canada, mandarake can be an invaluable source. Should probs mention things about shipping as well, e.g. "BBTS is your friend but you'll be fucked from shipping costs overseas". Should also note that Japanese collectors are autistic, so "damaged box" often means like, some microscopic dent. There'd be a lot to compile if we were serious about a pastebin, not necessarily something that can get done within one thread. But here's hoping. Might look at some of the other generals and get an idea of what might be good to add.
>>9379590>unless someone else is doing that already-I have. I have already completed the OP and I'm just waiting for this one to hit page 9 or 10 to post it.

>>9379604>I think RTS got some praises, I think I can still get it usedIf you can still get it, the United Stepper/Ricochet repaint is good if you want to have both but with different designs.
>>9379590I do like Jazz so I’m a bit biased, but I really do think it’s a nice figure. The ss86 line in general has a really nice clean look
I know that a lot of people don't like them because they have a lot of design problems. but I really like the look of the transformers animated toys. I recently got blazing lockdown. Yes his hands don't move beyond 45° and the chainsaw doesn't fit but that car mode is super sexy
>>9379738There’s something about a coloured windscreen that really makes a figure pop
Love these shattered glass figures so much, they just look fantastic. Can’t wait for Jetfire to come next month
>>9379905They do look good, I'm hoping we get more heroic deceptions though, cuz right now them boys is outnumbered by quite the margin.
>>9379913Yeah I agree, and it seems like it’ll only get worse with the next wave only having Soundwave vs three Autobots. I don’t mind too much though, the small team works better for these heroic rebels than for the regular decepticons.
>>9379738Wasn't there some minor mod to get his hands to extend all the way? I never did it and now don't even remember what it was. Animated stuff is pretty great, I only wish he plastic had been a little stronger. My Longarm/Shockwave broke an elbow, Swindle too, and Bumblebees shoulder broke. The only line I own more broken toys from is G1.
>>9379905I'm on fence with Starscream, he looks really nice in Jetfire colors and that sword is nice. But SG Jetfire will go right to the decepticon shelf, will pose nice against Star Saber.
>>9379913That can also be said about>ER decepticons>Kingdom predacons>commander classI fucking despise when toylines do this. I don't like it when the good guy leader is larger than the bad guy leader. Villains need to be imposing, menacing, and outnumbering.
>>9379927G1 sort of had this problem, didn't it? More Autobots than Decepticons, making the conflict feel a bit one-sided. Or maybe I'm just misremembering, I always seem to had more Autobots than Decepticons as a kid.
>>9379931Yeah G1 definitely did. I think it’s a fairly common phenomenon since toys of heroic characters sell better than toys of villains
>>9379927I guess I mind less with CHUG overall because from line to line, I've been collecting so long that I've been able to build up a roster of both factions just by picking and choosing from various series. Hell, RTS Lugnut is still in my lineup and he's what...10 years old now? More? But you're right about not enough Preds. I guess I can kind of fill them out with the God Neptune crew, but it just won't feel right. But people already have Waspinator and Shadow Panther, plus we know we're at least getting Tarantulas and Terrorsaur so that should even things out. A bit Just gotta hope for Inferno.
>>9379958Yet historically villains in toylines have been way fucking cooler.>the bad guys get full suits of armor>the bad guys have sci fi shit>the bad guys have planes>the bad guys are monsters and shit>the bad guys have a motherfucking T-rex>the bad guys are aliens>the bad guys are all larger
>>9380007But you have to remember most of these toylines had associated cartoons. And in those cartoons the bad guys lose, they don't perform the cool heroic feats the good guys do, they don't become heroes to the kids watching. Optimus Prime didn't become so popular because he was a big red truck, he became popular because big red hero.
>>9380081I think I groused on it before, but I really hate when turnaround videos either don’t put enough +360 degrees buffer so you can avoid including their disruptive transition effects, or just straight up don’t include all 360 degrees rotation.
I was looking at Red Wing on Target's site; it's a red card exclusive but it doesn't say if it's in stock. Is there a way to find out without signing up for red card?

>>9380440I was the same, mainly got it for Sideswipe, but Skywarp grew on me, I think that since I know nothing of how he's meant to be, I can impose my own idea of what he's like, that's the fun of lesser known characters. I have mine in a team with Grimlock and T-Wrecks.
>>9380500It's not even about the character, I actually like BW Skywarp, I just don't like the Airrazor mold. I don't find it satisfying to handle, the plastic was meh and the transformation kind of sucks. It's a mixed bag, like most of the BW Kingdom molds.

>>9380628also, not-Silverbolt did a lot of the same things Kingdom Grimlock did, but unlike him it actually worked okay on that mold and was justified because airazor's paint scheme already had similar things around the joints.

>>9380661I'm in Puerto Rico, it's very easy to get scammed , on top of shipping costs. My last few attempts to sell a few figures was a headache and I'd rather not deal with that, again. Meanwhile, locally, there's a good chance the buyer flakes or tries to rob me.
>>9380654Fuck you i want my good uncompromised bristleback toy
>>9379092He should be voiced by Gary Shwartz and have an affinity for all things blades, kinda like movie Hound is with guns.
I’ve just been looking through all the pretenders to see who they could make at the core class for the upcoming trilogy, and I found Snarler here. His colours look great and the drill about is such a cool idea. Sadly he seems unlikely to be remade soon, but hopefully someday. I guess for now I’ll just have to wait for a potential core class Octopunch to go with my titan master.
>>9380674Fuck you I want my titan sized Monstructor. Seriously he's supposed to be one of the most dangerous and powerful deceptcicons ever created.
>>9380671so really you're fucked selling online OR locally. It doesn't sound like local's a better choice, at least online you have a decent chance of not having a headachey time. but I guess if you don't wanna try again, you can just hold onto that toy you don't want.I mean there's always using a paypal invoice, emailing directly to someone that wants it, with everything outlined all nice n traceable..
>>9380693>that hornholy shit it's a kubanochoerus
>>9380540wouldn't it be weird if they actually developed a lion and elephant guy and based them around combining with this toyafter all in the original he provided almost nothing. just a backpack, a little hat for the head, and thin pieces that went between the arms and the torso. ironhide was basically the entire body and prowl was the head and a bit of the torso
>>9380696yeah and someone BETTER recreate this decepticon victory over shitty charecters
>>9380610Yeah the two pack aspect just seems like a excuse to jack the price up.I don't mind that he can't combine, mostly from me not having much of a connection to Magnaboss, and if they do ever make a proper update that one can be Silverbolt and this guy can still be Skywarp (I wonder if that's why they chose the BW II name)
>>9380752in my day, 2 packs and recolors SAVED you money.i imagine the main reason they called him skywarp though is because silverbolt is already a different guy in beast wars. The fact that he had a BWII alternate name to use helped.
>>9380752Yeah seems likely. That, and both the fuzor and the G1 combiner are likely candidates for future lines.
>>9380737Monstructor is awesome, him bodying Victorion was so damn satisfying. Plus I need a rival for my Omega Supreme, Titan Devastator gave me colon cancer and I refuse to have it in my collection.
>>9380759>silverbolt is already a different guy in beast wars. The fact that he had a BWII alternate name to use helped.True true, I suppose it helps avoid confusion.>>9380763I'm really curious to see how that Commander Motormaster turns out, the CW Menasor is my least favorite of the combiners I own, so if he ends up a massive improvement, maybe a Silverbolt attempt two might be pretty cool too
>>9380770his weapons are remolded, right? I wonder why they didn't just go ahead and give him the swords. he doesn't need help padding out his thighs after all
>>9380752>not having much of a connection to MagnabossI don't give a fuck. I can know fuck nothing about a character, but still see it and say "that looks cool.">>9380770>I'm really curious to see how that Commander Motormaster turns out, the CW Menasor is my least favorite of the combiners I own, so if he ends up a massive improvement, maybe a Silverbolt attempt two might be pretty cool tooI'm still furious combiner chests are hogging commander. Also how the FUCK are they going to do the other combiners this way? The other Combiner chests don't have trailers or sunbow skeleton bullshit.
>>9380777The other combiner torsos will probably be leader class. Motormaster is a special case for the reasons you listed
>>9380825I'm glad to hear that. What would you want to see for commander class 2023. I believe we'll start getting 2 a year by then. For me it would be PMOP/ Super Ginrai (Godbomber would be a leader class weaponizer) and Overlord.
>>9380777>Also how the FUCK are they going to do the other combiners this way? The other Combiner chests don't have trailers or sunbow skeleton bullshit.Easy. 20 blast effect parts, a couple extra guns, and a non-transforming, barely pose-able mini figure.
>>9380504Eh, to be honest I’d argue the vast majority of the kingdom molds are the best hasbro’s put out in its history. Netflix Cheetor and BW megs are legitimately amazing, dinobots only held back by possible weak elbows and BA by a lack of waist swivel, Airazor I can kind of get but as a figure it felt solid enough to me, primal was a great figure which I ultimately liked less due to that hollow bit at the front of his chest and Tigatron seems to be hasbro’s best iteration of the character yet. The only ones I can really lay into are scorponok and to a lesser extent Rhinox, the former of which has a piss awful transformation and just needed another rework, and the latter, while being someone cumbersome to transform, I feel like I’m the only weirdo who enjoys doing it. That and I also found out it looks so much better if the bits of the torso that fold up into the rhino back aren’t put all the way forward just makes him look a lot stockier and less flat
>>9380838yeah apparently scorponok and rhinox had the same designer and he is just not very goodthe rest are fine, the mistakes they make are all things that weren't too hard or too expensive, just.. someone made a slightly off choice. particularly colors.
>>9380835>20 blast effect parts, a couple extra guns, and a non-transforming, barely pose-able mini figure.>tfw Jetfire had almost all of those and then some and was massive
>>9380838I still retain this new Rhinox is shit, but if you presented it to us as McDonalds Rhino, it would be perfect. Just give him a new head and you're done.
>>9380830If they are doing two per year, then I’d like to see them divided into one G1 and one from other continuities. For example Overlord and Tidal Wave
>>9380843>AND HIS NAME>LENNY
What is the deal with blast effect parts anyway. not a single beast wars character has come with 'em yet.
>>9380855Only battle masters, commanders, and titans come with blast effects, and there haven’t been any beast wars characters in those size classes.
>>9380855I assume fewer hardpoints on beast modes to have the blast effects be usable. Like on everything since even TR due to the headmaster foot pegs, basically every TF on every scale has been covered in attachment points, but the BW stuff only has the usual 5mm hands and maybe one point for storing in bot mode.Doesn't help that none of them come with guns besides Rhinox who has shit pieces of paper for guns, Rattrap's little baby blaster, and the wrist/back cannons on Primal.
>>9380765Shouldn't stick things in your ass bro.
>monstructor as a leader size combiner wiyh core size components ala the upcoming Legacy core classesAcceptable? I would, especially for 50$
>>9380868how random. why those?I was told everyone's guns, those who have them, are the right size for blast effects
>>9380889whoops second half of that was supposed to reply to >>9380870
>>9380889Yeah everyone can fit them, but those are just the size classes that include them. As for why those sizes, I guess titan and commander are big enough to spare the budget for a few blast effects, and for battle masters it’s kinda their whole thing so they need it
>>9380847Several Commander size characters have a (relative) enemy of equal size. What I'm trying to say is make it something like>2023: PMOP and Overlord (late G1/JG1 themed year)>2024: Tigerhawk and Magmatron (BW themed year)>2025: Thunder Clash and Skyquake (G2/EG1.5 themed year)>2026: Obsidian and Strika (this would be an exception) (Idk this is my pipe dream so this years theme would be love themed (EX: G1ified Shatter and Dropkick in the same wave), and here's the pitch: HASBRO CAN MAKE AS MANY 2-PACKS AS THEY WANT HAHAHHAHHAHHAHAH-)2027: G1ified Blackout and uhhhh uuuhhhhh ( running out of Ideas themed year)
>>9380891>>9380889I only have like 3 blast effects myself plus Scorponok's gigantic ass ones. They fit on Primal's back cannons but look stupid so I just don't use them. Like if I'm being honest I just don't care about the blast and laser effects at all. Would much rather it go to a tiny bit more paint or a weapon.
>>9380883I would rather 9 inches for $60, but sure.
>>9380899>Obsidian and Strika at Commander size>Wife, would care to help me stomp this yellow bug-child to death?>Why yes husband>The hold hands as they stomp Bumblebee to death>mfw relationship goal
>>9380901I thought I didn't care about them, but over time I've found myself coveting them. Particularly when that lava-colored remold of the styraco skeleton guy came out with a bunch of em.
>>9380777>Also how the FUCK are they going to do the other combiners this way?Maybe they just won't do 'em
>>9380941>CW Menasor is so goddamn awful that only he gets the remakeKek. Although I could see some users on that fancy website eating it up.
>>9380899Yeah that would be cool, but then it’s much more likely that someone won’t want either of the commanders. I’d be happy if they just released enemies soon after the other like they have been doing with titans.
>>9380941Yeah I’d say there’s fair odds that he’ll be close to the same size as CW combiners. If nothing else, I’m sure they’ll do the constructicons as individual releases though.
>>9380959I can agree with that.Whatever experiment they were running with SS constructicons seems to have gotten them the data they need
>>9380440>>9380671i wish there was some way for people to 'split the check' on 2-pack purchases online, since so often we only want one halfthough I guess it would be up to the seller to figure out how to repackage each thing and calculate shipping separately..
>>9380584Cool, thanks for doing that.
>100 new posts>still on page 8 with no new threadVery nostalgic and comfy. Waking up to news and having to scroll through 4 new threads wasn't very fun.>>9379613Hmm, I could only find regular Jazz so far, but glad I could- hm, what if I get the new Jackpot and the old Jazz?>>9379614I like him too, it's just a weird position of him not being a high favourite and figuring out whether to get a non-sale figure of him is worth it. He does look pretty nice, wish he had fun door-wings though.>>9379905Glad you're enjoying them, hope Jetfire is fun.>>9379913Who else would be a good add? Not that familiar with great SG Decepticons.>>9380342>powertrain. The true micromaster leaderHis bio and appearance really DO make him fit for the role, don't they?>>9380693Snarler is a horrible person and I'd love to have him. A cool boar/thing or a drill face, and a decent antagonist for my botfrens. If they do pretenders for transmetal stuff, he'd fit really well.>>9380752>>9380759Think the Barricade and Punch 2-pack is juuust about the price of two deluxes. So at best just>regular price for 2 figures but with the benefit of being forced to buy a figure you don't care aboutYippie!
>>9380996I guess all of us are lucky compared to anyone who wants the new Ravage. not gonna drop a 50 on that guy.
>>9381005I'll stick with my old Ravage I think.
>>9381005Yeah, seems a bit excessive..>>9381020Why didn't you finish transforming him? You left a step out!
>>9381020Still mad that this is the best non-MP Ravage. Totally happy to have skipped on the Siege casettes aside from Laserbeak, using my United Rumble and Frenzy, just wish I had this bastard. Probably not worth the Hound price of admission nowadays either.>>9381027kek
>>9380996>Who else would be a good add? Not that familiar with great SG Decepticons.Beats me, we're in the same boat with the unfamiliarity. I do know there's good guy Soundwave, maybe a Shockwave painted up like Energon Sixshot? Reflectors that each have one of the Datsun bros decos? Runabout and Runamok as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker? Possibilities are endless. Just give me more weirdos.>>9381027This image makes me so uncomfortable, yet I giggle every time it's posted
>>9381027Why contain it?
>>9381041Do you prefer your SG designs to be references to other characters or original layouts?

Final image for the thread leggoooooo>>9381056Let's say go but only once!
>>9381047I think I like a combination of the two. I was just looking over at my shelf and spitballing lol. I don't think purple evil prime came from anywhere in particular, but it looks good, but I also really adore Starscream cosplaying Jetfire.
>>9381027fuck now she's gonna start telling riddles
>>9380996> Still on page 8 with no new threadWhat's the image limit? We might just reach that before we get to page 10.> Who else would be a good add? Not that familiar with great SG Decepticons. All the main regular decepticons would be good: Shockwave, seekers, insecticons, Blitzwing, Reflector, Soundwave's tapes, constructicons (I like them as medics, but they're unlikely). Other than that, I'd like to see Cyclonus, Straxus, and especially Sideswipe (again unlikely since they killed him off in the new comics)> Snarler is a horrible personI hadn't read that bio before, but I like him all the more now. I always appreciate an irredeemable villain> If they do pretenders for transmetal stuff, he'd fit really well.Ironically, unlike the rest, he'd be more like regular beast-formers than transmetal characters (Unless they do beast boar to robot boar, which would be bizarre but also pretty cool)>>9380986I mean you can, but you just have to trust the person you're splitting it with.
>>9381069>What's the image limit?150, and we just hit it. Now that images can't be posted here the thread truly has 'burnt out', not that discussion can't continue until the thread finally slides off the catalog by any means.
