>my pic is OPMan, reminded more than ever it's been five long years since I did one of those... Still I'm honored. In other news was at Walmart today and they had a couple Halo sets on clearance. The Banished Skiff was dropped from 39 maplebucks to 29, passed as I already got a second one from a different Walmart (for 10 bucks less). The big Banished Turret, however...
>>9262344> Can't have Nazis...Mega has made it pretty apparent that they are trying to bury them. They can’t beat around the bush forever. This is second WWII era game that will be coming it in recent years, so they have to give us something new. > Hell I would love some straw-hatted gooks (Mr.Victor Charles) with Ak-s for my boys to shoot at.Did they ever make any VC? I know they’ve released a few ‘Nam sets.> and Mega's lack of a non-licensed IP is hurting them.I also want Vikings and Beyonders.I agree. All of the pro-builders sets had potential to be lines.
I miss those goofy lads
>>9262279What area bro?
>>9262454Edmonton, was just at the one Walmart that I know of (there's at least 4-5 in my immediate radius) so ymmv on who is clearancing what. That same Walmart still had these little helicopters at full price, whereas another one the week before had slashed them to five bucks a pop.
>>9262513Damn, so cal bro here. Lol not driving cross country for a decent clearance deal.
>>9262612Maybe it'll drop on Amazon or something. Had to see where it was at on the Canada site today, bought my first Banished Turret there when it dropped to 38 maplebucks (half of the average retail price at the time), it's currently at about $48 (down from $100). So yeah it goes up and down, but eventually it'll go way up and never come back... The set got way overstocked here really which is presumably why they're getting desperate to clear them. Pic is my other big Walmart clearance score from a few months back, at the time it was a great deal to have a second one but not so much compared to getting a larger set for a dollar less now, heh. Still, the Skiff is a better set to have multiples of, even at that 1/5 MRSP I can't see the point to getting any more of those turrets.
>>9262633*MRRP, rather. I'm also still thrilled at getting this classic in (almost) good condition for seven maplebucks.
>>9262435Looks like they’re about to drop the PHATEST album the UNSC has ever heard.
>>9262849I need to do one for MOTU
I fucking want the new gungoose and warthog reeeee
>>9264382When are they supposed to come out here in the fucking states man. It is taking too long.
Put the UNSC boys on a baseplate so I didn't keep knocking the individual stands over. I should grab one of these for the Covenant forces.
>>9263094Including horses is neat.
>>9264486Is that all your stuff? Are you new to collecting?>>9263737Thanks. I was inspired when Anons were talking about the old mini-figs.
Is this worth 11 USD if I’m only interested in the zombie and build?
>>9265199Yes. You could use the other two figures as custom fodder.
*blocks your path*
Has mega released a bigger terrain piece than this? I’ve seen this one cast in black but have no idea where it’s from.
The last wave of MOTU single carded figures is now going for like 16x msrp and only in lots. Fucking end me
>>9267114You didn’t need it anyway Anon, it’s okay.
>>9267119Who cares what I need? I just want them, damn it! No Man-E-Faces for me since the advent calendar was cancelled.
>>9267164There’s more sets coming, I fully expect to see more mannys and robotos next year- do not pay the scalpers Anon. Just be patient.
>>9267096That's pretty neat, didn't know they made those. The Halo battlescapes were fairly large, though relatively featureless.>date taken: May 2012Sometimes I wish we could go back, boys
>>9267170Yeah I know there is another bunch of sets. I end up having to pay 2-3x sometimes just because local stores only like to stock Halo, but more than that is too rich for my blood. Glad I got my Battlebones before those shot up in price though
>>9267185That’s crazy cool, how common are those now?
>>9267325There's a bunch on ebay but they don't come cheap. Not getting the one with the Forerunner Guardian when it was new is a minor regret but I did get the Snowbound one at least. Need to pull it out and set up pic related again sometime, been a few years since the cat-related accident...
Has Mega made any mini-fig sized books?
I am a fool for wanting a thundercats megas
>>9267392I only have one base plate, and then the other one I still have boxed up.
>>9268231me to... me to...
>>9267216I'll trade you my Man-E-Faces for Battle Bones Mossman.
>>9267185>tom clancyfucking burger fag
>>9268224Does someone make these as customs? I'd buy these in a heartbeart
>>9268387I'm not, but stay mad wherever you are :)
What is next to improve on the Mega minifigure body, they have evolved alot since the pirates, the warcraft, and now adays.give ball joints to the kees some how while keeping them good looking?
>>9268363Those are pretty damn impressive.
>>9268679All they need to add now is taller brutes and spartans. Then I would be content with my life. They could obviously do bigger molds like what they did with the cabal. The regular marines are taller then spartans and brutes for pete's sake. Just update it a little.
>>9268369NTA but it shouldn’t be too hard to flock one. It’s project I plan on doing in the future, will post results when I do.
>>9268785Pls keep in touch and let us know how it goes. My only worry is a custom flocked one or one done myself just wouldn't be as durable as the official. Like I fidget and play with these guys a whole lot, I don't want that to cause the figures demise.
>>9269266>This is the slime pit setKill me.
>>9269335It's the process of adding a soft fuzzy material to a figure or product. Usually to imitate fur, or in the case of Moss Man, moss.
>>9269327It was 10 bucks. I wouldn't be surprised if a proper Slime Pit shows up eventually though, especially with Hordak apparently showing up in a set.
>>9269327This looks cool as fuck, how could you not tell “He-Man Slime Pit” wasn’t going to be a skull at $10?
>>9268679>>9268717Are those pics legit or are they custom stuff? I’ve been out of the Mega game for a bit
>>9269435I know, but I'd rather have paid 20-30 and gotten something more substantial. Plus with the amount of plastic that skull uses, that could have been additional bricks to form the actual set.>>9269480It looks like a mediocre substitute for the real thing. The translucent green Skeletor skull is more impressive than the sets namesake. The Slime Pit is an iconic part of Motu, and to get this instead of a proper version? I think they dropped the ball on this one, I'll buy it out of a semblance of brand loyalty if I see it, but it looks mediocre. There's no way this is fitting in the gimmicks of the Slime Pit. After Grayskull and Point Dread being huge improvements over the vintage and on par with the Classics line, this ones a let down. But we still have Land Shark.
>>9267095Is it really an Amazon exclusive set?
>>9269541can they reuse the slime beast slime?
>>9269601I can almost guarantee (assuming the line continues to sell) that we'll get a slime pit with actual slime as a play feature. It isn't too big a set and would end up at a price point around the Roton's I would think (still not entirely sure why that was so expensive).
Just a heads up, the 'Final' heroes 5pack is back up for preorder on amazon
>>9269931can find it...
Do you think the new structure set will surpass Mega’s old stuff?
>>9268679>What is next to improve on the Mega minifigure body,They've been doing ankle swivels since the '87 cartoon TMNT in, when, 2016? They need universally improved below-the-knee articulation on all figures and then they'd be perfect. Maybe ball ankles.
>>9269488100% custom. Following is the link. I just don't get why they would make the regular marines taller then brutes and spartans. Some of the brutes should even be the height of the didact, like tartarus for example. https://unboxed.megaconstrux.com/en-us/share/projects/custom-master-chief-taller-mod-2-0
Has anyone tried to build this yet? I have one of these that were broken, and I was considering using it to build one of these alt builds. The skitterer is cool, but is it accurate to halo wars 2 in size? Or would it need further mods to build it.
I'm an MC casual/nub. It's there a place to get loose accessories? I want a havoc staff for my Skeletor since the Panthor set didn't come with one.
>>9270975Nope. You’ll have to check Ebay or get another set where he has it.
>>9270267Some of it’s good, but, oof, they kind of made Captain Keyes look like Sylvester Stallone, and they made Halsey’s face look like an Æon Flux cartoon character face.
>>9271098I dont give a shit about that, I only care about the height differences.
how does the ankle mod work
I miss the zombies sets.
>>9273238Ya they were great, wish they had more articulation though of course
>>9273344Don’t the White Walkers from GoT have more articulation?
>>9273379No I'm pretty sure its the same
>>9273379The regular zombies are the same but the ones from the winterfell battle are regular models with more articulation.
>>9273379depends on the figure. The one with the Wall set has head, torso twit, shoulder, wrist and hips. Some of the Winterfell have more using more mix and match from regular Construx bodies.
>>9273238Mine only came with four of those guys.
>>9274541Mega rereleased a few of their troop packs and took out one figure. There is that one Anon that has a picture of it and always talks about it.
I remember someone customizing some of the CoD guys to look like Cobra vipers using some sort of metallic paint that was really reflective? Does anyone remember that or the name of what they used on the visors?
what are good sets to show off figures?
>>9270479It is way to fucking big. I wish They made something that was actually accurately sized.
Okay /mxc/, I have a challenged for you: make a scene about a failed evacuation of civilians. No, it has nothing to do with current events, it is cut dialogue from MW2: https://youtu.be/-RplHnI7iqI Go to 4:40
>>9277293ahh shit, that sounds dope.
What you do when you have all the Mega Construx Evil Warriors and no Snake Mountain for them to live in.
>>9277780based and comfypilled
>>9277293Sounds awesome. I need to make some civilians.Best I have for now is failed extraction with a little bird
>>9277814nice pic bro
>>9277890thanks man! here's another
>>9279531This pissed me off how short spartans are. Yea your pics are great, blog?
>>9279574agreed. I recall when the new articulation was announced, people were freaking out about the size change, since CoD (the first figs with new articulation) were larger. Mega specifically said that the Halo figures were going to remain the same size to allow for backwards compatibility with previous sets.and thanks, no blog, just insta @construx_of_warone last rescue pic, but I don't think this one worked as well
>>9265160I purge my collection every few years because I'm not an autistic hoarder
>>9280501Constantly purging your collection out of fear of being a hoarder sounds like autism to me.
>>9280494Just make more money and buy more house to display
Bought the last six Destiny single pack figures from ebay. Pretty good for $45.
>>9282467holy shit bro, that is incredible
I just remember that Mega has the Aliens license. Why haven’t they made a Colonial Marine or Synthetic robot guys troop packs?
>>9282631Why haven't they made Ripley with buildable power loader?
>>9282631They didn't make MOTU eternian guards either and thats an in-house thing. It fucking blows that this isn't the hottest line, because I want to army build everything. Hell, even one of those synthetic robot guys and a Ripley would be cool
>>9282631>Tfw they made one marine that looked the part>tfw never got it>tfw the xenos are impossible to find in Europe>Tfw no mega dropship>APC>No generic marines and aliens duking it out
>Have an idea for a MOC that isn’t about conflict for once >No civilian accessories >The only way to get civilian accessories is to buy stuff from the girls’ lines >MFWOn one hand, I’m worried about what my mom will think. On the other, I think this is a great opportunity to test the waters for that sort of stuff. I’m going to start with that one American Girl campfire set.
Got a bunch of motu figures,
>>9283304>I’m worried about what my mom will think.ngmi
>>9283304Stop caring what other people think, including your family, and start enjoying your life
>tfw my mom not only keeps an eye out for Mega and Lego discounts for me but also likes to collect and build little setsShe has vertigo and can't do table puzzles anymore so pbb sets have helped make up for it some.
>>9285378>She has vertigo and can't do table puzzles anymoreWouldn’t building three dimensionally make it worse?
>>9285490She can't look down at a puzzle to work on it, but she can hold a set up to eye level to build.
SCALPERS AND RETARDED BUYERS BTFO
>>9286575Why are people so fucking stupid? I don't understand.
>>9286580The uncertainties of Mega releases and distribution have certainly contibuted to the feeling in many parts that if you want something you may have to pay whatever price you can get right away cuz the longer you delay the more likely it'll creep upwards.I had this happen last year with the Halo Prototype exosuit, was getting to be quite some time after its release with no sign of it anywhere in stores and there was an ebay listing from Quebec offering it for a few bucks above retail, ended up ordering one. Maybe a month afterward it hit shelves at Walmarts and TRU here; just counted myself lucky that I hadn't paid a huge markup and got a second one to keep packaged for a rainy day.>mfw I'm thankful for not being a MOTU fan
>Netflix making one piece life action>Mega construx try the licence againwould it work with today's technology?
>>9286597WTF... I looked found a website that listed some if not all of Mega’s past themes, never saw this.
>>9286626probably some kind of obscure japan exclusive temporal partnership or something like that.it is real, but dont know how big it was
>>9286575and ordered, I ain't fucking around this time
>>9286626They did a few Kamen Rider ones too.
>>9286597It'd be mega crap.
>>9286575I can't find this anywhere on Amazon, even when putting in what it's listed as.
>>9286575Oh fuck I had a whole set ready to sell when I went back to the states.>>9286580>>9286583Some people unironically paid over 200 dollars for it.
What do you guys think? I checked Amazon and it’s half the price here.
>>9286873Thats super fair considering how old it is.
No sets, but a ton of figures. What are you anons building/drinking?
>>9287163nothing reeee the last thing we got are the old spartan helms
>>9287163Nothing. I’ve got a few ideas for MOCs, but I’ve never succeeded in manifesting my ideas into reality.
>>9287163I have Point Dread I'm going to build soon. There's also a sale at TRU (only 20% off) and I'm thinking of getting the 3 Skeletor skulls and the flocked Panther set. All 4 of these worth it or should I skip some?
>Helmet on or off?>...>Too bad
>>9287276>TFW no Queen Petra to pair hun with
>>9287234where are you anon? what the hell is it with mega's distribution>>9287247i just can't do mocs. same as you, every idea ends up looking bad>>9287269i got all the skeletor skulls and they are all worth it. there's 4, though, he man, zodac, fisto and trap jaw. i passed on flocked panthor since there's an unflocked in the point dread set, and i have too many skeletors already.
>>9287281Ya, the 4th isn't in Canada yet, so not really considering it yet. A bit unsure about the need for Scuba Zodac, but I'm definitely interested in the upcoming Slime Pit set. I agree about no real need for the flocked one, but I guess were I to get it it would be more for a little fuzzy desk toy. And if I ever want to just put him with the rest of the figures, there's always the extra Battle Cat helmet that could help differentiate the two Panthor. I agree about the army of Skeletor though, not sure what I'd do with even more. That's kind of what I was thinking about with the Jet Sled set, but it looks like a well built little vehicle.
>>9287281>where are you anon? what the hell is it with mega's distributionNorthern mexico, distribution was always good here until now.
>>9287371what, i'm in monterrey. i got the small cod sets in walmart, the large pack and the motu figs from amazon.
This line has a lot of good accessories. The sets are still cheap too, so that’s bonus.
>>9287163Haven't seen those new CoD 4-packs here yet, couple Walmarts still have a few of the last wave. TRU has the new 3-pack at least. Still deciding whether to build the second Banished Turret I got on deep clearance, keep it boxed or part it out or something.
>>9287163Nice haul. Amazon?
>>9286597>>9286626>>9286632>>9286794Imagine if Mega Construx did sets and figures based off of Cowboy Bebop, and maybe other gun-heavy-ish anime, along with vehicles and ships and stuff.
>>9286597I really had high hopes when I saw these. I think the licenses were Kamen Rider, One Piece, Sentai, and Gundam. They slowly dwindled out with a couple new figures bundled with tubs of bricks before vanishing completely.Power Rangers (never did get an Abarekiller) were the only one that kept going and that was just US, I think. There was a slight tease, at one point, that they'd upgrade the bodies with Dino Charge but I think they lost the license soon thereafter.
>>9287611Yea, no one would buy them.
>>9287667You underestimate how much Cowboy Bebop fans will pay for something mediocre.
>>9287717Faye figuarts never.
In my battle with the Cylons I collected about 50 Halo guys, some Elites and Terminators. Now the new stuff looks same old. Are they going to offer my customization parts?I would love jump packs and assault weapons.
>>9287717I dont know, he have a point, it isnt the same buying our tiny childish block figures to buying a more detailed statue.
is there any female torso that show the belly or have more skin showing up?
>>9289023was trying to make a little montage of Teela doing all the he-man intro thing, but at the time of being transformed, instead of just having her head on heman body, I wanted to have her on a female body, but I dont have any that show skin to give that heman vibe
>>9289041but does not do the same if is not at least showing the belly.
>>9289015I wanted a bikini mcx torso forever and they never made one,
>>9289045I guess the only option would be if there ever was a battleground teela.
>>9287783Your terminators are rad!
>>9267095>Amazon Exclusive>Goes up with no warning then sells out instantly>$150+ aftermarketStore exclusives should be bannedI'm so sick of them
>>9289015there's a guy selling custom female torsos (nude and clothed) on instagram, but I can't find it right now>>9289043that isn't bad, if you painted the white to match her skin. I made a Strong Teela by giving her He-Man's legs instead of arms. try adding his legs and see how it evens out
>>9289311Not really, both Amazon exclusive I know of (the WWII battlepack and the Spec Ops helicopter) are pretty much MRP right now.
>>9288172What about the ones who want to build their starships and such?
>>9289311Literally the same thing happened to the new wave of MOTU Mega Construx heroes. Just wait a month or two and they'll be readily available. Some idiots paid over $200 in the last few weeks for the MOTU set.
This is a mistake right, this set isn't released yet
>>9289720still not released
>>9290630Nice fog, artificial or did you smoke a fag and huffed on your gifs?
>>9291308He smoked a USB
>>9291308>>9291331Nah, a mini mist sprayer. It was 2 bucks on amazon and works great. Easier to manage and the fireworks I used to use.
>>9282467The Ending Warlock and Lions Vigil Hunter are amazing. I like giving em the katanas from Lego sets and pose em
>>9291687Don’t Lego weapons mess up Mega hands?
This red brute with 2 blue niggas is triggering me.
>>9292045Why? Covenant have always been a blend of colors based on rank or specialization; these are clearly not Banished so they're either remnants or mercenaries or some other faction.
>>9292130Is just my autism desu I know you're 100% right but is a god tier value set, 1 odst and 3 covenant solders.
>>9292157It's about time we got a Jackal with the sniper headgear thing, helps make the newer head look a little less autistic.
>>9291834Maybe but they still hold their weapons well, if anything just use one hand for lego weapons and the other hand for gunz
>>9292616Dude, Mega weapons already stress Megafig hands, Lego weapons break them.
>>9286626You've been mandela'd my freind. What did the stars look like in your universe.
>>9289720Why the fuck isn't it released yet
So, we getting vanguard sets? The large ww2 figure pack keeps getting restocked on amazon mexico. Maybe that's it?
>>9295074Amazon just forced them to make that set again because they knew it was going to sell hard.
>>9295074it's a fucking great set. Sad to see Mega whitewashing the Nazis on their main site. I also wish (and it's never going to happen) that there were more "bad guys" in this age of correctness. Like NVA troops or Soviets. (or the Iraqi Republican Guard ) I doubt we will ever see the like unless the West goes to war against Russia or China. And nobody will make "Insurgents" as those shit heels would start blowing up toy stores and schools.
Are they going to stop selling the blue helmet as well?
Confused. the Mermaid Barbies look fine (although expensive.) but why the other ones gotta look like little squats? I now wish I had gotten some of those shitty American girls.
>>9296939I’d inform you of something, if I was I afraid of scalpers pursuing the threads. And I normally don’t care about scalpers, since I don’t buy heavily sought after Mega stuff, but this affects a lot more than that. So it’s heavier than just the toys.
>>9296939>>9297504wasn’t afraid of*
>>9297504>>9297507then why are you posting faggot?
>>9297504You're paranoid if you think you mentioning something on here would make all the scalpers go out and buy all of whatever it is
Do you think that there is *any* chance that Mega will give up on some of their licenced stuff and make more Vikings?
>>9299258Why would they do that when they can just make viking shit on the side.
>>9299258Did that set do well? It seems to have a word of mouth, but so did the Mars Rover, and that set bombed.
>>9299325nta but it is a shame they bombed, both are great sets
>>9299332well, they were kind of expensive. The least expensive of the probuilders' sets was the rover as forty USD. Meanwhile, the rest have skyrocketed. To put into perspective, the Battle of Winterfell set now cost somewhere around one hundred ten USD; tue other sets cost more than that. Just checked Amazon, the rescue helicopter is on sale.
>>9299332 I admit I got the longship on sale and payed $45 for it. I'm not really interested in building it (I know, I know, ) and am more interested in the figures for photography.. but I would love me some more. and some little village building sets (like the same price as the Skeletor heads.
>>9297507Read between the lines and take in the clues, be a gumshoe.
>>9299853Thai was meant for >>9297949
So what licenses does mega have left? Heroes had an ongoing surge of pleasant surprises with guys like Sam Fisher and the borderlands characters showing up, but things seem kind of stagnant on the heroes front. TMNT is seemingly still on ice unfortunately. That said Im happy MOTU, COD, and Halo are still chugging but Im worried about the future of MCX. What do you guys think?
>>9299906It's going. They're also doing Hot Wheels now, Barbie I think, etc. What's even out there that would be worth doing sets of and that would sell well? I can't really think of anything that would be collector oriented.
>>9299932Well it really depends on the market you're after. I think MOTU and TMNT have the most collector appeal, but tmnt saw release at a rather inopportune time for the franchise and MOTU is focusing more on figures than they are actual sets. It's crazy we still havent gotten a snake mountain. Beyond those two I think Thundercats has some potential, but I dont think Matty themselves have much interest. If we're discussing vidya however, I sincerely think heroes can be kept afloat by a few dozen vidya licenses rather than any specific show or movie franchises. Imagine if heroes became a revolving door for licenses like Doom, Fallout, Skyrim, Crash Bandicoot, etc. I think Doom and Crash have the most potential for sets btw.
>>9299947>Crash Bandicoot, etc.Okay, but can I get a SHADOW the HEDGEHOG Mega Construx figure, with gun accessory?
>>9301404OH SHIT. Clearly that's the Horde pack. She-Ra, Hordak, and anyone know who the last one is? Great looking set. Also finally we see the pack that includes Roboto and Skeletor we saw all that time ago. Land Shark looks fantastic.
>>9301404I hope they release She-ra later in heroes.
>>9301456Maybe repainted somehow, like Bubble Power. I can definitely see another Hordak in Filmation colors. Would be good to see him with some tech features.
>>9301467They could sell the same figure as they did with Hyperius for halo.
>>9301497I'm sure they could, but whether or not they do, based on recent Heroes figures of the same characters, we're seeing repaints.
>>9300951id be up for sonic mcx, but I think lego is holding onto the license
>>9301404Really excited for the MOTU panels tomorrow. We should also be seeing the buildable Havoc Staff. Hopefully we get some more teases too, like more sets, as well as a buildable Sword of Power.
>>9301528Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Man, Lego just buys up licenses then never do a dang thing with them, or under-do huh? Like, remember when they made Avatar: The Last Airbender, for example, and, at most, they only made maybe three sets, and they’re first season stuff. I think the only think Lego did with Sonic was that Skylanders-like thing, wasn’t it?
>>9302155You could say the same about, Mega. Mega has all the boomer licenses that everyone is jerking off, but barely does anything with them. Even Kre-O mads more Star Trek sets.
>>9302216The one that stings is aliens. They have the mold for the colonial marines, could easily do at least an apc with blocks and have done a kubros ripley. What the fuck is mega waiting for??
>>9302216>>9302312Just because they made some figures from a license doesn't necessarily imply how much they can actually do. Maybe basic aliens and predators (and a Dutch that doesn't distinctly look like Dutch) mini figures is all they're allowed to do.
Mega Construx MOTU panel is going on now.https://thepower-con.com/programming-schdeule/
>>9302924Potentially other parts of the license can be introduced, such as Revelations, He-Man and the MOTU, She-Ra, etc. "The future is bright."
>>9303036But definitely not done with the original. Still playsets and vehicles they want to tackle. "So many new things coming."Castle Grayskull continues to do well and will be available in 2022 as well. And here's our first official 'reveal': Slime Pit.
>>9303047Land Shark is up next. It has functional treads, and when you roll it it actually opens and closes its mouth. BA Skeletor has battle damage on his chest.
>>9303052Monstroid is up next. It has a gear function that allows the top half to spin. Comes with Hordak, She-Ra, and mini comics Adam.
>>930306140" long Havoc Staff. Can be carried around, probably best not to fight with it."That's it for the Spring line."I'll just use the Amazon pic for these.
>>9303052>>9303061I want these sets, but I'll confess to being disappointed with the figure pack ins. They would not have been my choices
Snake Mountain looks great, even in wrong colors!
>>9303064Teasing the next big set. Not Spring, but upcoming. Snake Mountain.
>>9303071Of course, not in the final colors. Mini figures that will be included to be shown in the future.
>>9303073What some of the designers would like to be able to do: Fright ZoneDragon WalkerMore Horde, more POPSnake-MenModulok
>>9303071>>9303073Definitely buying ths
>>9303073I'm going to use this as the basis for a huge MOC where figures can stand two abreast in the snake's jaws and the bone throne and scrying table are moved to a room you can walk to from the jaws via a hole in the snake's neck.
>>9303069same, some anons in the motu general were speculating as to whether or not the adam packed in the hordak set was rio blast. Im disappointed to find it's just adam. Overall some fun reveals, I just want to start seeing some of those previously showcased figures get released, along with some more sets.
>>9303076what would you guys want to see? Im glad to know snake mountain is in the works, the land shark reveal was a treat, and Im happy with monstroid. But here are just a few things I want to see crop up as future sets.>Mantisaur>Tyrantisaurus>gigantisaur>titus and megator>stridor>spydor
>>9303237I'm not happy with Slime Pit as a Skeletor head. I want a proper building set.Besides that, Dragon Walker, Fright Fighter and Dragon Walker. Also, at least 1 of the Eternia Tower, if not all 3. After that I'd be done with MCX
>>9289720Found in store today, Walmart Canada

>>9303237I would like to see Stridor as a buildable set. Buildable Tytus and Megator, but with real hair like the origiinals. Buildable Modulok seems like a no-brainer, too. Finally, I want to see the Mega design team get an opportunity to contribute to the official canon and create an original vehicle or playset. Nostalgia may keep the lights on, but you don't bring new blood in by selling the same thing over and over.
>>9303763So is it still technically a 'Hog, or is it a whole new vehicle that won't play well with its older brothers and cousins? Asking because reasons
>>9303237Army builder packs of generic Snake-Men, Horde Troopers, Skelecons and Palace Guards.
>>9304090>Army builder packs of generic Snake-Men, Horde Troopers, Skelecons and Palace Guards.Fuck yes
>>9304061Well the name is razorback not warthog
>>9304116I know, but a razorback is a kind of hog, just saying.
>>9304061Whats the red hog suppose to be btw?
>>9304151It's a Transport 'Hog from one of the early waves, when they were doing Red and Blue team stuff on the regular. Was a Target exclusive in the US; Target hadn't made its brief foray up here yet but thankfully they showed up at Walmart.
>>9303763is that supposed to be kelly?
>>9304096>>9304090SOLD, somebody tweet this at mega construx. It's a brilliant concept.
>>9303073>>9303071I want this man's shirt
Im genuinely surprised warhammer mcx isnt a thing. Especially so now that games workshop has pulled a stick out of their asses and decided to license warhammer out for merch
>>9305272Im surprised you goldfish keep bringing this up when warcraft was a colossal flop cancelling star craft plans.
>>9305276warcraft a shit, but I concede as you do have a point. I suppose halo fills the spess marine niche anyways.
>>9283304Tell your mom to eat shit
>>9305272GW will never do that because it’s too close to the minis.>>9305276This. I hate warcraft and starcraft art designs
>>9305183Its kelly.>>9305276Is not the same, blizzard literally killed the wc line with their shitty "build random ocs" and mega quality was ass for that line.
>>9305535And who's fault was overwatch lego flopping?
>>9305540>ow was only popular because of the character>lego minis look like shitBlizzard
>>9305436>I hate warcraft and starcraft art designsWhy?
>>9305621All the warhammer incels hate wow/sc.
At this point I kind of hope MCX drops TMNT in the hopes that we see Street Sharks/Extreme Dinosaurs enter the mcx fray. Either that or Mighty Max. If we got mighty max sets, we could get so many generic figures out of it. Aliens, monsters, cowboys, etc.
>>9305731Got anymore pictures? >>9305641>>9305621Proportions.
>>9303763bro post pics
>>9306452I will but desu it is pretty far back in my backlog
>>9306703I'm sending it to the top of the list bro.
>>9305535>Is not the same, blizzard literally killed the wc line with their shitty "build random ocs" and mega quality was ass for that lineI think that if the line was done now a days, it would be hell of a lot better, just for the new figure quality and having female bodies. But the brand is on the ground and completly worthless, specially because blizzard probably ask alot for licensing,
Anyone else get the wasp yet? Every target has them right now that I have been too in LA county and Orange county. Bought two so I can have that hunter pair.
>>9307484>I think that if the line was done now a days, it would be hell of a lot betterHonestly I don't know what went wrong with those figures, compare them to the same period of time minis from cod and halo hell this guys cant even hold their weapons without fucking their hands.
It’s be here tomorrow, bros. I’m so excited. After years of collecting Destiny Mega, I’ll finally have one Guardian from each class. On a somewhat related note, how do I go about custom painting Mega mini-figs. I’ve decided I’ll buy used ones or chink bootlegs for experimentation.
My MOTU Heroes 5-pack from Amazon was waiting for me in my mailbox today. My enthusiasm was a little diminished knowing Mattel was going to get me to double-dip on Roboto with the Land Shark set. I found the Zodac Scubattack Skeletor head st Target two days ago. So glad I didn't cave and pay reseller prices for either.
>>9309213That's an awesome guardian. The set is a great example of how bare and overpriced most destiny sets were. The hammer is neat.>>9310580The markup on those motu sets is insane. I was about to pay scalper prices until it showed up on amazon as well. Now here in mexico is easily available in some stores as well.
>>9311117I got mine for thirty bucks. What was MRP?
>>9311165exactly that, 29.99.
>>9311448Considering the PPP ratio, I think it’s fine.
>>9311535The ppp ratio is fine, but you get a glorified bike and 1 figure. Not a lot of overall stuff. Compare to pick related and the "value" is not nearly as good.
>>9311535I thought the same thing too. Destiny really gets a bad rep from people who were expecting more. If anyone should be complaining. We should have complained bout how we didn't even get any regular fallen foot soliders or hive Knights.
>>9311535>>9311758How is it fine? 1 mini-fig and one small vehicle for 30 dollars is way too much like a warthog cost the same with more pieces and minis.
>>9311767>Cherry pickingIt wasn't the best set, but it wasn't the worst either. The PPP on these sets have always been solid to pretty good. They weren't awful sets. Also Mega can push it a little with Halo since that is their biggest IP, destiny was a new IP they had and obviously it didn't work out.
>>9311661>>9311767You’re right now that I think about it. Usually sets like this come with at least one enemy. They could have easily given us a Psion or a Dreg. >>9311758Yes, the enemy selection for Mega in general is really poor. Brutes and Jackals were out of commission for years. There also haven’t been many sets with the Promethean guys. Don’t get me started on CoD, the lack of distinct factions bothers me.
>>9311788to be fair destiny had a great selection of evil mobs.
>>9311781The fallen walker was amazing. I got most of the destiny sets on designs alone (never played the game), but the price always seemed bad when compared to halo or cod sets.>>9311788This is annoying for cod. It’s gotten better with the very distinct vs troop packs, including 2 figures of 2 factions, but yeah, we need more enemies. I do like that they’ve discretely included blops factions in troop packs.>>9311863This is where destiny shined. Lots of variety of figure types and sizes, including large sized built figures in scale. It pisses me off we got cabals on a specific mold, but cod juggernauts are still regular soldier sized.
>>9311897Part of the reason why I loved the Call of Duty: Ghost sets is because the soldiers had the flags of their nation on their person. On the other hand, you have GoT which has plenty of enemies, but not anything substantial; no Baratheon or Lanister troopers, no Golden Company, not even a White Walker troop pack.
>>9299947Snake mountain is coming.
https://youtu.be/Eqd0QDZVMyASomebody explain this to me. So MCX/Mattel has made protos for all these characters, but have yet to release them through any avenue? What's the hold up?
>>9313715>What's the hold up?Heroes got cancelled. They need to either get slots in building sets or find other ways to get retailers to take figures, like the Battle for Eternia 5-pack.Hordak, comic Prince Adam and Slime Zombie He-Man are coming in November or Spring.
>>9306729I can move it up but still have a ton of stuff ahead of it
>>9313738How are the skeletor heads selling? Could they possibly release more figures through that line?>5 packIm genuinely surprised they didnt just release wave after wave of mcx motu figures in that format. It was the best way of building up a motu collection fast.
>>9313738Is the heroes line in general cancelled or just the MOTU one?
>>9313969>Is the heroes line in general cancelled or just the MOTU one?Kevin the designer announced the Heroes line is canceled. The non-Halo Heroes waves all shared an SKU, so I think this means Halo Heroes sell well enough that they're not going away.
>>9313715They ought to just make a blind bag line for the new kids show and just toss them in with it. Heroes was already getting recolors anyway.
>>9313715These aren't technically prototypes, as they explained in the video. Most of them were assembled using existing parts (like they did with Snake Moutain in that mockup). Some used 3D printed parts also. As for why things haven't been released, there are only so many SKUs per year, only so much money to allocate, and lots of other factors. Having a prototype with 3D printed parts for someone like Webstor doesn't mean they have the tooling to actually produce it. With all that said, I'm going to guess that with Snake Mountain we're going to be getting a few of these characters. Just looking at that list, I'm going to guess Clawful, Whiplash, Ninjor, Webstor, and probably He-Man and Skeletor again. Or perhaps an additional Heroic Warrior to be paired with He-Man.
>>9314166Clawful and Whiplash I doubt, they'd need too much new tooling. It would be great because parts for characters like Buzz-Off, but Hordak just ate some tooling budget along with She-Ra.Webstor(who is my favorite character and I'd kill for a Mega figure) and Ninjor both only require a new head and armor piece. Both just use the Skeletor body, and we have the mold for Webstors gun, grab Ninjors accessories from TMNT. Pretty simple. That said, my fear is what we will see with Snake Mountain are just variants of the big 5, Skeletor, Beast Man, Mer-Man, Tri-Klops, and Trap Jaw. Then round it out with a He-Man, there's your 6 allocated minis. It just seems like an easy out that they might take. Really hoping for Webstor or one other unique character.
>>9314746If they managed to make Snake Mountain out of mostly pieces they already have (given the makeshift model, it seems like they did), that's budget they could allocate to more figures, especially with how expensive the set will be.
Any advice for customizing mega mini-figs.
>>9316751The arm bone connects to theTorso boneThe uh, kind of thigh-waist pieceThe kind of thigh-waist piece connects to theLeg bones
>>9316830the face is kinda shitty
>>9287435First ever set I got was those figures. Good times back when I discovered Halo.
>>9316830Looks like shit compared to the female sniper head lmao this is a fucking dude cod face.
>>9316830I'm not sure how we got to that from this render, other than cheaping out and using something they already had committed to for other uses..I picked up a couple plain Janes to fill out ranks, but hope we still get the render head somehow
>>9317666Yeah that head is amazing but they fucked it good.
Have being getting some of the Motu figures, and I really like them, they feel good, the characters are fun colorful, and the worst part is that kind of make me want more.
If we had to rate how is the performance of mega construx, how would you do it?What sell more, less, is call of duty and halo the flagship of the brand?
>>9317879Did you build that? It's really nice
>>9318272I think it’s something from a WoW set.
>>9318272Thank you for giving me credit for being able to follow the instructions in the box
>>9317890>rate how is the performance of mega construxI'd say it's being kept on life support. It's heyday was 2012-2017, ever since then it seems like they've been restlessly downsizing. It's a bit sad, but sadder would be not to have mega at all. I guess turtles and terminator woefully underperforming must of hurt them bad. That or the poor sales of the ass creed and destiny lines.>What sell more, less, is call of duty and halo the flagship of the brand?COD and Halo are definitely their bread and butter, but I genuinely think MOTU has the potential to be up there with the two of them. Thing is Mega barely markets their shit beyond their microscopic youtube channel. I feel like alot of their lines would have benefitted from ad campaigns.
>>9318427Ah my mistake, I am not too familiar with warcraft sets
>>9318520It's weird how mega has been around for so long, popularity kinda comes and goes. The 2012-2017 assessment is correct, at one point mega shelves rivaled lego here. Also agree with marketing. It's hilariously non-existant. Weird how a large company, with the support of a giant like mattel, does not give a shit about advertisement.
>>9319132>The 2012-2017 assessment is correct, at one point mega shelves rivaled lego here. Those were the good times. I still remember how stacked my TRU's shelves were with new mcx tmnt product. It was heaven, its just a shame good things never last.>It's hilariously non-existant. Weird how a large company, with the support of a giant like mattel, does not give a shit about advertisement.Considering how much the internet has changed the general paradigm of life around the globe, it's frankly retarded of them not to push these products harder. I'd wager part of the reason blindbag stuff and goo jitzu types of toys have sold so well is because of how relentlessly they market their shit through youtube kids. Consider how much lego does the same. Meanwhile MCX is nowhere to be seen, even despite the big brands they had/have. It's a shame, and I honestly dont see brighter days ahead.
>>9316830Kinda reminds me of this
>>9320179The Marine is ugly but not this fucking ugly, Calliou looking mother fucker.
>>9316830>>9320179Ok, those are ugly. Which are the most attractively looking minis then? My vote goes to these 2. These are renders, but the actual figures look equally good.
the other day was thinking that I may like some power ranger / sentai modern MCX figures, specially if they had the monsters as wel.But of course they are a Hasbro IP so it wont happen, and even if It was possible, Dont think it could be successful
>>9320945I have one of those snipers and the head is not great. I was hoping to use it as a Scully but....naw.
>>9320992In a way it's kind of a blessing that Mega was barred from any of the big name capeshit licenses simply because it pushed them to pursue brands like tmnt and terminator. But now I cant help but think maybe the success of those brands was the thing keeping them going.
bumping with a moc i saw on the mcx site
>>9320945Like, face-wise and stuff? Well, I guess Captain Keyes looks okay, so does Captain Cutter. And that one version of Sergeant Johnson with the really nice facial details.
>>9320945>>9321235I don’t see the problem. If anything, it’s the eyes that need some tuning.
was thinking on getting some Breakout beast to use them as creatures or mounts for my figures.I see they have holes on their backs, are there sits that fit in there? specially if are mount sits like the warcraft ones?
>>9322293lovely image anon, I love it
>>9322226Those things aren't studs but you can put rods in them.
>>9322293I love this
>>9321129We really need more mecha
>>9323218that battle cat mech moc from awhile back really cemented that in my head. shame cod, motu, amd halo have no giant robots. Though I must say Im surprised nobody used that giant master chief set as a mech. He seemed perfect for it
>>9324323>halo have no giant robotsWat. We got several types of cyclops, several types of mantis and mechsuits. More mechas are always good, but halo has plenty
