This is a really cool looking figure. Somehow though, Hank Henshaw is burned into my mind as just this colossal asshole of a villain, and for some reason, that makes me hate him enough to not want him. Just looking at him pisses me off somehow. It's specifically him, too, I dunno why. I have plenty of other villain figures in my collection, many of who have done some really rotten things.

Maybe Death and Return of Supes just made a particularly strong impression on me, as it came out when I was very young.
>>
That's sick, I hope they make a Superboy and Steel as well, Eradicator I could go either way on
>>
>>9176964
Is that a gun? I will have to write to WB and complain about this!

Thoughts on this 3'75 inch line? Not really a six or seven inch guy, I down right refused to buy anything until that scale until I saw Figma Rem and the McFarlane SM. Now after even more time has passed, I'm willing to try every (non-chinese) toyline a chance.

Such a realistic and dynamic running pose, only capable because of McFarlanes outstanding engineering that totally isn't outdated at all.

>>9178124
You shouldn't fucking have to tho

Remember when toy companies had some balls and worked around these restrictions? Like when Mattel wasn't allowed to give Jack Slater a gun in their Last Action Hero line, they just included his gun with Benedict - or the mail-away Stormtrooper Han Solo's weapon was included with Leia.

yes, WB forces Papa Todd to play along with twitter sjw and not upset the woke agenda.
>>
>>9178675
Probably DC and WB saying no 'religious' paraphernalia in their action figures. His cross is often quite different and rarely looks like the Iron Cross anymore, so I'm guessing it leans more towards religion as to why it wasn't included.
>>
>>9178079
Meh, I can live with the wide face. It looks like how he does in the newer Teen Titans comics.

I'm just surprised he has double jointed elbows. Can't forgive that chain though, should have been real metal.

>>

Nah, this looks much better than >>9178079. In your drawing he actually still has a strong chin and his face isn't really wide at all. The sculpt has a weird, almost square-shaped face. Lobo has always had a long, lean face, so Todd's sculpt makes his features look oddly squished.

Ooh, yeah, I see what you mean. That's pretty dang wide.

>>9178732
This is sort of a hard thing to pin down since so many artists have drawn, redesigned, and reinterpreted Lobo over the years, but my primary memories of him are from the 90s, where his face (mostly) seemed to be pretty long and lean to me. I mean, he's still a big guy, the type that I would guess has a healthy layer of fat over his muscles from the excesses of his lifestyle, but generally I don't feel like his face was depicted very wide/fat/thick back then.
>>
>>9178756
And yes, I know that's not an issue from the 90s, it's just the first closeup of his face I could find on short notice.

>>
>>9178439
The hair is the most fucked part of the figure, looks to clean amd preppy for a bad ass.
>>
>>9176964
When Doomsday?
>>
>>9178828
His hair is the second worst thing, the face is retarded.

If it had a decent headsculpt it could be better than the Storm since that one is just a big chunk and not too fun to play with
>>
>>9178972
The Storm one is really posable and has great accessories though?
>>
>>9179069
Great accesories, although I hate that Farrah Fawcett hair they gave him that everybody poses him with, they should've just given him the dreads and the Saiyan hair.

But no, he's not really possable, arms go 90, ankles are useless, knees are barely 90, hips don't even kick straight.

He has a ton of joints that give him great personality in semi-dynamic poses but that's it.
>>
>>9178079
>no shotgun
>no cigars
I'll stick with my storm figure.
>>
>>9176964
I hope this means we'll get Eradicator, Superboy, and Steel too.
>>
>>9179090
He can kick straight forward and the knees go a little bit more than 90. The ankles also pivot in more than they pivot out which is more important for posing. He can really hit the poses I need him too though and his overall articulation is great for me since they all work together so well. His torso joints also get pretty good range which helps with dynamic poses.
>>
>>9179165
He is so damn thicc. Is that how big he was in Injustice?
>>
>>9179174
Oh yeah they're all really thick. The rest of the DC guys are too. I can't wait to get Ares in this line but I'm probably skipping Supes and Bats.
>>
>>9179165
>than they pivot out which is more important for posing
Barely, a little too wide and they don't land flat, much less range than the standard.

>He can really hit the poses I need him too
Which are semi dynamic and nothing more.
>>
As someone who doesn’t own a Darkseid figure is this one worth getting?
>>
>>9179740
It's the currently most accessible one, so if you like it go ahead. There may eventually be a comic version, so it's up to you.
>>
>>9179740
I wanted the one with the vest, but simply couldn't find it where I live, so I got that one instead. Quite satisfied with it, the promo pics make his abdomen look emaciated, but the actual figure doesn't suffer from this. Really nice sculpt and articulation overall, I'm even thinking on making him a cloth vest for a more comicy look.
>>
>>9179766
Yeah I would prefer the more traditional armored looking one but it’s supposed to be a store exclusive so I just don’t think I’ll ever be able to find that one and I do like this one as well that is a good idea maybe making the rest of his vest out of cloth

The Spinmasters Batmobile that's meant for it's 12in figures scales pretty well with 1/12 stuff. You can even fit two figures in the cockpit. Just be aware there aren't any seats in there. I'm thinking of 3D printing some for mine.

This is the MCU Destroyer debate all over again. Also, now you're acting like having more fingers and less toes is a bad design? Damn.
>>
>>9183091
>This is the MCU Destroyer debate all over again
How so? MCU Destroyer was actually inspired by the comic design, Steppenwolf is just a dumb alien in ugly armor with the name slapped on.

And having two toes per foot with ten fingers per hand is absolutely retarded, yes
>>
>>9183100
>How so?
Because people were complaining about literally the same thing, him looking like he was full of staples.
>MCU Destroyer was actually inspired by the comic design
Then we can easily take Starlord as a fitting example, no difference. Don't act like Steppenwolf was a beloved character who definitely requires the same outfit from the comics. Let directors have some leeway for once without bitching about everything.
>And having two toes per foot with ten fingers per hand is absolutely retarded, yes
I'd love to hear your explanation for that one.

Kirby designed both versions of Steppenwolf, and they're both completely unfilmable. Super Powers version at least had spikes and an axe, and the original cut version gave him dumb facial hair.

For the movie, it makes more sense for him to be more creature-like, since he's directly related to Darkseid, and Darkseid is alien in design. It makes more sense for a movie than "humans in helmets".

dumb.

New Gods are supposed to be based on human gods, so making them into stupid looking aliens is dumb.
Only reason Darkseid looks the way he does is because he's evil, like literally evil. So he looks as bad as evil should look.

Make them into aliens means you strip away so many stories and characters that come out of them (Big Barda, Glorious Godfrey, Orion, Mr Miracle, etc). Make any of these characters into humans, it brings up questions about why the other baddies were made into aliens.

It's just a lot of change for the sake of change and that makes for shitty stories/movies.

>>9184232
Well, there are New Genesis people who went over to Apokolips who turned out to look ugly. But that's mostly just Darkseid letting his people fuck around with them. Like DeSaad being as ugly as he is, which is probably because he's been killed os much.
>>9184683
I don't think it was Thanos, because Thanos is faithful and so are the eternals (relatively, of course).
Warner Brothers just changes shit up because they don't care about the comics. The writers and directors (and even executive producers) all want their genius to be recognized, hence changing as much as they can, so that they can claim "I made that and that's why i'm worth $50million."
Warner Brothers and all its subsidiaries are incredibly fucked up, because doing this shit is how they're able to move up in the company. This is why the presidents of Cartoon Networks fire and cancel so much shit, because it makes more space for what THEY want to make. This is why previous shows like Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans were canceled, because these shows were actually WB Animation's. Same reason for DC Nation. All got great ratings, but they came up with excuses to cancel them. See also the firing of all creator shows in the mid-00s (Flapjack, etc) when a new pres was brought in. See also the cancellations right now.
This happens within all WB's subsidiaries.

>>9184748
WB Animation does faithful adaptations of varous comic storylines.
The reason most animated series aren't faithful is for brevity, constantly changing writers, their storylines, and characters changing teams.
Movies however, it's almost always because of executives/directors/writers are assholes, but that's just Hollywood life.
Also, cartoons sometimes get comic creators involved.

Hush, Red Son, and Apocalypse War were all pretty drastically changed, too. Probably mezco or McFarlane for the rest. But you should probably just stick to one brand so they match scalewise. >Mafex JL Cyborg
>Mafex JL Aquaman

DC Direct is more about the sculpt than the articulation.

When you look at a lot of their figures sculpts, you can tell exactly which artist interpretation they we're using, like Alex Ross, Dawein Cooke, Bruce Timm, etc...unlike with lines like Marvel Legends, where the only way you can tell what artist they we're going from is the costume.

But this specific line, was from the above wrestler inspired line. Never made it to production...and was a bit more 'out there' then their usual figures.
>>
>>9198448

>I do wonder what this means exactly. They can't possibly be bringing back all the lines right? It'll be interesting to see where this all goes.
Yeah, I'll be very interested to see just how this goes in implementation.

>McFarlane Toys have entered into a global licensing agreement with WBCP to unleash a new line of McFarlane Toys designed statues, busts, and figures based on DC’s expansive roster of iconic characters. Fans and collectors can look forward to an array of McFarlane Toys created DC Direct collectibles

>McFarlane will also manage current DC Direct inventory.

>Under McFarlane Toys, DC Direct will continue to produce high-quality collectibles, including fan-favorite lines DC Designer Series, Batman Black & White, and Harley Quinn Red, White & Black.

>McFarlane Toys will continue to sell and market all the current and upcoming pre-ordered DC offerings.

So they'll continue those lines, but not clear yet on if they'll finish the unreleased products, probably might finish some (like the animated) and shelve others (like the wrestlers)?

I can only assume that by "DC Direct will continue to produce high-quality collectibles, including fan-favorite lines" that probably has to include the Animated series figures.
>>
Sort of confused by this news. I was a fan of DC Direct at one point, but the current McFarlane Multiverse stuff is better than what they were doing in every way. I've been slowly replacing my direct stuff with McF as it comes out because it's a lot less brittle and has a lot more articulation.

I bought the fucking exclusive version of Shriek, like a chump, when it's obviously going to come out again in a 2-pack.
I've got Superman Unchained hanging out with McGinnis, I think he must be the Superman of the future. Clearly it's not Clark in the suit, it must be someone new like Terry was. Maybe he stole it from LexCorp after they tried to make their "own" superman based on Luthor's old armor, for that make sense?
Bizarro is damn good, he has a ton of character and pretty much looks great with anyone.
I got Injustice Grodd because he was 10 bucks on walmart's website and... He's cool but I have fuck-all idea what to do with him.
And Batman Beyond is pretty good but it sucks he doesn't have the right batarang or any fists.

Why does he have plump and luscious breeding hips? Do we have any pictures of the reverse of the reverse flash? I wanna see if he got a fat ass to go along with.
>>

i have the owldude. He pretty good, aside from no head articulation.

Articulation is about as good as Mattel's stuff at the time. Pretty sub-par, but still fun to play with. Articulation feels like butter though.

Look wise? Unparalleled. Well worth their price if you like the look.

It's tragic how much of a departure modern harley is from classic harley. Classic Harley is perfection.

Need mafex to do a figure of this

Your figures will catch fire if you put any sort of gun into their hands. It's a new built in way for DC to control the gun ban.

Superman unchained was from a mini series drawn by Jim Lee, he wears the armor for like 1 page

this cyborg superman is such a let down.
>>
>>9207494
yeah, but if he's gonna take up this much space and cost that much money, he's gonna be his own damn character on my shelf. And since I don't have anyone to hang out with McGinnis yet, he earns the spot.

Besides, armored superman is always dumb.

One of the FEW, VERY FEW McFarlane figures that looks decent. Plus I love the character. Hopefully they'll make a few of the other Flash Villians as well.

McFarlane figures great? Now that's funny shit that is! First off his "vision" is ridiculous! Basically Spawn meets Batman. Yay! Insert FART NOISE HERE! People want decent classic comic accuracy and he give you weird ass garbage. Hasblo may be weak as well but they've been 100x's better than Toad McFarlane. Sorry but Todd has done shit to impress anyone! The shelf warming proves it.

How exactly did you get this information? Ah the internet perhaps. We all know there is only truth on the web! Idiots like you with your baseless and pathetically incompetent accusations are laughable! Every, EVERY COMPANY has a woke ass SJW FUCK in it. Even your idol Toad. If he had ANY GUTS or BALLS he'd tell them to piss off. No guns? Sure let's give them balloons and dildos!
