Glad the Scale World line got canceled. Too expensive
>>
>>9165470
Never got into it myself. I was waiting for a solid dex of mons to see if the line would even be successful. Not looking too good these days.
>>
>>9165470
It seriously got cancelled? Or have there just not been many new reveals lately?
>>
>>9165470
It did not get cancelled. Sorry, Scale World is here to stay and I predict soon an incredible pack with Marill, my favorite Pokemon, and other Gen 1+2 favorites.
>>
>>9165664
I doubt they'll do more gen 1 and 2 unless its reprints. Probably going to do another set of gen 3 and then move onto 4.
>>
>>9165856
>I doubt they'll do more gen 1

ahaha. We'll get Gen 1 mons in new poses before most other mons.
>>
>>9165861
I'm sure they'll do some Gen 4 stuff soon to tie into the upcoming games
>>
another day of my local targets having 0 pokemon toy stock to the anon that bought glaceon and leafeon post bar code
>>
>>9165861
I am ok with this as a gen 3 and 4 fag. I'm just glad we are finally getting decent toys.
>>
>>9165950
Same. Absolutely no figures, just a couple random plush and a shit ton of those silver pikachu plush. Really want the boltund but no one I know has seen it in stores.
>>
>>9166023
I've seen one case of the newest 3-Packs with Raichu, Ponyta, etc at 2 local Targets and one case of the newest 2"&3" wave with Glaceon/Leafeon at one. Aside from those, there's been absolutely empty shelves for over two months in all the 5 or 6 most local stores.

What are you guys looking for? I live in the boondocks with a backwoods Target and I also work there so I can possibly get you something. We often have packs on the shelf. I've seen a lot of the Glaceon/Leafeon packs lately. Straight price plus shipping.

Starters and Lucario aside, which gen 4 Pokemon seem likely to appear in Scale World Sinnoh?
>>
>>9167758
>Luxray line
>Staraptor line
>Fossils
>Lake trio
>Bidoof
those are the ones I see more likely to be in the scale world line, they might also make darcry and cresselia
>>
>>9167758
Not the op you were quoting, but they average about 20-25 Pokemon per generation aside from Galar which had a few more. Gen 4 starter lines, Riolu/Lucario is already 11. I don't think it'd be too unimaginable for them to select at least more.

I could see them also making Shinx/Luxio/Luxray, Garchomp, Munchlax, Weavile, Leafeon, Glaceon, Shaymin, and Darkrai.

>>9174474
At this point I'm guessing we'll get no announcement till the end of the month. I just hope this doesn't mean they're going to start a new line giving us gen 4 reprints to promote BDSP yet. I'd like them to get a few more gen 8 sculpts out before that.
>>
>>9174628
I'd kill for some more gen 8 mons we haven't already seen from other lines. Galar has some great bug Pokémon so I'd be overjoyed if we got either one of Centiskorch, Frosmoth or Orbeetle
>>
>>9174299
Pokemon toys have had horrible distribution in the US since WCT got the license in 2018 or whatever. Now that Jazwares absorbed WCT, the distribution is still just as bad. Most of the time it's completely empty shelves in Targets and Walmarts.
>>
>>9174628
They won't stop a line on #53. They're delaying the announcement because Piplup isn't even supposed to release until the end of the month. Piplup would have been the announcement but they did him early along with the megas. I would guess within the next week we will see who's next. The new moncolle box was announced some time back as well.

Definitely a very cool choice of mons! Love seeing an articulated Alakazam even if he's tiny. Hopefully we get a large one from Jazwares eventually. That Dragapult may not be too out of scale for 1:12 scale collectors depending on how big he is. How tall do the Shodo figs usually stand?

Finally managed to pick up Squirtle and Appletun! The moulds are nice and I like how they did the gradient colors on Appletun, but I'm a bit dissapointed in how many little spots and scratches there are in the paint. My Boltund has a million paint issues. Flaking, overspray, misplaces paint apps, etc but it's still better than the second once I saw in a store. That one looked crazy. Almost as bad as any of the Alolan Muk's from back in the day. Boltund seems to suffer the most from horrible paint apps in this most recent wave.

Anyone have any leads on those vintage TOMY unreleased character figures? Specifically looking for the hard to find ones like Oak, Gary, and Jenny. Money isn't an issue, just locating even a single one in acceptable condition is the problem. I know it's a long shot, but maybe some of you know someone looking to sell 1 or all of them? I also need a Nurse Joy in acceptable condition as mine is played.

Rev up those Pokemon trainer customs
>>
>>9180651
Those proportions aren't right for Pokemon trainer s though. Not many trainers have bare skin and most would need different parts or soft goods clothes over top of articulating parts to look accurate.

>>9178028
Don't think any Boltund's have that outline around the outer eye painted. The issues with most are on the yellow parts and around the ears from what I've seen. Both are understandable because the undercuts in the ears and painting light yellow over a darker green is bound to cause problems. Can't believe some that are on shelves made it out of QC though. Some look a real mess.

Do you not understand the basic concept of customizing?
>>
>>9180863
>>9180855
Do you guys not understand the basic concept of articulation? Let's say I want to make Red with one of the figures. I can't sculpt baggy pants over those thin articulated legs while keeping the articulation. I'd have to find a different base figure that already has much wider legs (knee joints and hips) to accommodate the proper silhouette Red would need. Going the soft goods route is stupid as well since none of the other Pokemon trainer figures have soft goods and they'd look incredibly out of place.

As far as making most Pokemon trainers, I think those Figuarts bases would be useful for accessories, hands, feet, forearms, calves, and maybe torsos depending on the character. You'd still be looking for various other parts from other figures to have a good base to start from in many cases.
>>
>>9181010
do you?
>>
>>9181010
id gues the best way is to opt for soft goods to make it work.

though i need to find my mini bugnet i had one for my figma.
just need more bug pokemon.
>>
>>9181042
I just explained why those blank Figuarts bodies won't work for most articulated Poke trainers unless someone wants to use cloth clothes, so yes.

>>9181135
I hate mixing and matching soft goods with non-soft goods figures. Having custom trainers being the only ones with cloth would make the customs stand out even more in my eyes. To each their own though.

I'm working on a custom Cynthia figure now. Hopefully the next wave of Jazwares Selects has Garchomp in it. That would go nicely with her.
>>
>>9181238
>Garchomp
im telling you get the modelkit.

>I hate mixing and matching soft goods with non-soft goods figures.
im not a softgoods fan on figures myself either, but was more saying it would likely be the only option with such base bodies.

i do wish you goodluck on Cynthia, got any progress pictures or still planning things out?

i light oneday try and make N if we dont get him.
>>
>>9181542
I'm planning to get both the Greninja and Garchomp model kits. Going to keep whichever Greninja scales best between that and the Jazwares one. Still holding out hope for a Jazwares Garchomp that'll be more durable and not require any stickers or painting to avoid having shitty stickers on the thing.

I've only bought parts for the Cynthia custom and am disassembling other figures now. I'll be sure to post pics here as it comes together.
>>
>>9176358

What the hell man. I preordered the Great Ball with the expectation that I could at least get all four of the main balls eventually. At least make the premiere ball the exclusive.
>>
>>9182798
See discussion above. You're forced to use soft goods for the clothes so they'll look out of place with the rest of the trainer figures. Using parts from various other figures is still the best way to go if you want to maintain articulation and not use soft goods for shirts/pants.

I love those accessories those got, but the hats look like they'll be a problem. They sit right against those heads so once you sculpt hair on them, the hats will no longer fit.
>>
>>9183783
>You're forced to use soft goods for the clothes so they'll look out of place with the rest of the trainer figures
No one is forcing you to use soft goods. There are plenty of clothing options you can sculpt without overly or completely compromising the articulation.
>>
>>9183830
How can you sculpt baggy shorts or a baggy shirt over very thin and narrowly set hip joints or a slim torso?
>>
>>9183902
The first step is to stop being a retard.
>>
>>9183912
Show me some examples of people sculpting baggy clothes completely covering much thinner joints and maintaining the articulation then. I'm telling you, that aint how customizing works.

I'm STILL kicking myself on missing the master ball, I literally had the page up most of that die, thinking about buying it and figured I'd do it before bed. Then I decided to do it earlier and it sold out right as I was trying to check out. Was such a dumb thing to do.

Skipping the Great and Ultra Ball now due to missing the master ball since it sucks not being able to own the full set and I'm just waiting on them to release the premier ball, and hoping they do more beyond these. Mainly the beast ball. Hell I'd buy a DMAX ball from them if they did a jumbo one of those for a higher price.

not him but i hope he just opens these, or at least one whismur. Remoraid is my grail too, but id need a good Octillery to go wit it
>>
>>9186309
>>9186325
Most of these will remain in the package as I've already got opened versions. I am considering opening one of the Whismur though, I just can't decide if it's worth or not. I've always had a problem opening them unless the packaging is just completely trashed. I'll usually just buy lots of used figures from Japan if I want opened versions since it's a little cheaper. My goal one day is to have 1 opened and 1 sealed version of each figure they release.

Thanks, nice to know some stores still have them. Haven't bought a lot of domestic toys in a while so it'll feel like old times driving around town and popping into different stores. Guess a 3 pack wouldn't be so bad if at least one of the pokemon in it is something I'd like
>>
>>9188078
Things i like about Jazwares/WCT packs is how they tend to include mons that initially came with those useless balls, and the fact that they're scaled. Jakks just stuck to one scale back then. so if you wanted another chance at Espeon, you'd have to buy that tube with the small Lugia and the same-height Pichu

How many figs do you have and also will you sell me the figs?
>>
>>9188956
unsure, some websites i found are using the wrong product pictures.
i keep looking regularly but i havnt found much new.
>>
>>9188104
Oh God, that's disgusting. I did grab a Snorlax recently as well and felt he was a bit small compared to the Charizard, but at the price points I do expect and it's not like he's abysmally small either
>>
The autism of this general shitting on scaleworld and Shodo never ceases to amuse me. Let scalefags be scalefags and enjoy their statues and let Shodofags be Shodofags and throw caution to the wind with eeveelutions that are the same size as Pokemon god.
>>
>>9176358
This lineup sort of fits the theme of the Shodo waves so far, and I would assume we're getting Glaceon due to the structural similarities/easy remold potential from Umbreon.

Both Dragapult and Alakazam have the potential to be the typical "Shodo release with shit articulation," though. Alakazam's joint setup and ankle tilt look designed to have him squat only, and Dragapult is half a sold piece of plastic and an overall garbage design. At least we know what to expect with the quadrupeds.
>>
hoping to find more into this coming week, sofar some shops are using incorrect images for jazwares greninja and articuno.

and i havnt seen much news yet for the other waves, just that the intro post doesnt have the sinnoh 8 pack listed for october.

heo still lists intelleon but my leafeon booklet says cinderace and grimmsnarl instead.

apologies sofar for a lack of news
>>
>>9193735
Don't apologize, it seems there's like no news coming out for any Pokemon products. Been waiting for the new Moncolle announcement for ages now.
>>

>accurate to the source material
But the colours are wrong, they're dull and overly metallic and the raised details on the master and great balls are just painted on, making them look very inaccurate.

They're fine as a budget option, but the wand company versions are definitely more accurate and don't have any clip supports or anything ruining the design either.

id rather have a painted ball that works instead of some bumpy rock that lights up. also they did make the Beast ball, which is my favorite ball

Ill hope to find product images soon of new waves.

These toy companies take this seriously. Toy releases are official black market business these days.

From what I hear:
-Both Sw/Sh girl trainer, and Raihan are Pokémon center Japan exclusive, the girl trainer was supposed to come out June, but then was delayed to August, now there seems to be a large number of preorders being canceled because they do not have enough supply for the demand. Unsure what they are going to do in response to the situation. No word on Raihan, but expect more of the same.
-Marnie is not exclusive, though I believe the preorder period has closed. She is listed as November release, but delays are expected.

>-Both Sw/Sh girl trainer, and Raihan are Pokémon center Japan exclusive,
Why would they do this
>>
>>9199792
The ride never ends.
>>
>>9199820
because you don't deserve access to Japanese goods
>>
>>9199819
I hate Marnie. im only buying her for completionist reasons. Raihan too. Shouldve started with Bea and Nessa
>>
>>9199172
You're right, they're pretty awful characters
>>
Anybody know how the GEM scale with figma?
>>
>>9199789
You can buy it on Amazon Japan right now for about $38 USD + $20 shipping.

>>
>>9199820
They've always done this; right back to the first Red nendoroid nearly 7 years ago. At this stage anyone who hasn't yet figured out how to order directly from PKMN Center Japan deserves to get fucked around by Bezos.

>No word on Raihan, but expect more of the same.
I got charged this week for him and he's shipped out already.
>>
>>9199819
When were preorders up? I didn’t see anything I was waiting for awhile.
>>
Any confirmed reports of people finding the Toxtricity / Pidgeot 4.5" figures in US stores? There are many more showing up on Ebay from US sellers lately.
>>
>>9200732
Nah they're 1/10 they scale with the old Jakks pokemon trainers, NECA, McFarlane and SIC stuff.
Bandai did sprite Brock and Mystery in a subline that was 1-12 though and they fit pretty well with Red.
>>
>>9199819
According to Amazon JP, the cancellations were a mistake and the people that had their pre-orders cancelled may reorder again via a link sent through e-mail. Supposedly it's meant to be received sometime this week.
>>
>>9203672
>they fit pretty well with Red.
Do they? I think the Misty figure is quite small actually.

for marnie? she was always on the usual: amiami, hlj etc
