Whats a cult classic you guys would want to see as an Ultimate? This and Jigsaw are my top 2. Still want Bateman bad though, Ive just never found it online for a decent price
>>
Would be cool to see NECA do releases of the universal monsters with head sculpts and paint jobs inspired by the remco line, like their lootcrate masks.

Would be a cool Comic Con exclusive. Reasonable too since it just requires a new head sculpt.

I want a Sil from Species, maybe Species II Patrick in his full alien form too.

Ultimate Jigsaw, as well as deluxe sets to recreate different traps.
>>
>>9075447
I'm with the people who mentioned the Crites/Critters in previous threads. They could do four or five bounty hunters (a two pack with the green, unformed heads, Ugh, the one chick from Critters 2, Charlie as a bounty hunter) then do some creature packs with bunches of the Crites. Especially since the later movies some of them had more unique looks to them, like the half black and white one that got burned with bleach, the one with the top of its head blown off, the big ones, etc.

>Ultimate Jigsaw with Billy, Pig Head, Kramer Head, Hoffman Head, Reverse Beartrap, hacksaw, and a CRT tv with a Billy image on it

A man can dream. Ive been marathoning Saw this week since Spiral, and its making me really want to hunt the CC Jigsaw.

I cant tell if Saw is still popular. Jigsaw and Spiral werent that popular, but Amanda showed up in dead by daylight so its still recognizable as a horror icon

We're guaranteed 1 doc and 1 Marty from 3 which are cowboys and beyond that who knows. I would add the cowboy Biff variant as well. Those 3 should be guaranteed from part 3 following the future doc.

Were those random $11 NECA figures at Wal-Mart just a fluke? Will a discount like that happen again? I don't collect NECA, but a lone $11 grey Rhino Alien has caused me to go on high alert for these fuckers.
I'm checking my local Wal-Mart's Collectibles section like an idiot in the vain hope some discount figures pop up again.
>>

Yeah maybe. I don't think a lot of Walmarts are even restocking toys and Collectables like they used to. Mine for sure have been empty for months. I have seen people here report the same in their areas.
I haven't seen a new neca ultimate at WM since like last September
>>
>>9085927
My WalMart has a tiny little shelf that has like 4 necas at a time. Was surprised they had Shadow Master Shredder the one time I as!Ed them to look for him in the back. Walmart did eventually catch it and correct it. Managed to snag the blueish rhino alien and flasher gremlin for $11 but recently theyve both been restocked and back up to the regular $29 price point.
I've kept and eye out for any new figures to check since the $11 deals and haven't seen any since.
>mfw all of the human Alien figures went down to $11 but the alien itself stated full price
>>
>>9086798
Pretty much all the neca figures are grouped into various skus and upcs and the system flagged whichever ones contained the rhino alien, bttf1 Doc, flasher gremlin, 1 of the Jason's, and the human characters from Alien for clearance. Walmart eventually caught it and fixed it but there was a good month or longer where they were marked down. Hell find one with a clearance label on it saying $11 and you can well likely still get it for that price.

their King Kong isnt generic, you mongoloid. I don't even like NECA, but I have to admit that the King Kong figure has a great likeness to the films
>>
>>9087445
He's referring to the fact that the Kong isn't legally based on anything in particular. It's a public domain King Kong. But yes, it draws from the 30s movie heavily, with "legally distinct" changes.
>>
>>9087445
>Calling someone a mongaloid when you're getting the facts wrong
Why are people so defensive about NECA's King Kong? Its not even an insult to call it inaccurate/generic, especially when Randy himself stated it wasn't based on any specific design because of rights reasons.
>>
>>9087445
It literally is you stupid mong.
Randy said himself that this is their generic take on the character since they can't make a film likeness.

>armor version
Oh, I'm pretty sure that's gonna happen if the line keeps going. They could use most of the body to make pre-cyborg Coldstone, POSSIBLY retool to make Steelclans and Xanatos's exo-suit, perhaps also nameless gargoyles that died from the siege with alternate heads.

Generic is a word that has some bad connotations, but it actually applies here. Their Kongs are at best loosely based on the 1933 one, but are otherwise genericized in order to avoid the copyright shenanigans inherent in licensing a King Kong figure.

It's probably not worth it to get the license for a tiny little accessory. They did the same with the 2015 Marty McFly Pepsi bottle. Peppy I think they called it. I don't mind them doing things like that as long as it looks close enough to the source. It'd drive the price up to pay for proper licensing for what amounts to a small tiny accessory.
>>
>>9075416

Yeah, it's rare that they bother with the licensing on food stuffs or branding (like there's no Mattel logo on the hoverboard obviously). The Turtle Wax and pork rinds seem to be the only thing they've gone out of their way to make sure they got the OK from the licensor on. Which, hey, that's cool details where it's "needed" I think.

is walmarts app accurate with their store inventory?

So if Neca took a stab at the Invisible Man at some point how would they do the neck/head so that you could take the head off without a peg being there? So you could have him posed with either the wrapped head, or just invisible head.
>>
>>9094470
Knowing N*ca the neck peg will break off when you try to remove the head so the problem resolved itself.
>>
>>9094477
Get a life loser.

>>9094470
Either they'd have to engineer it so the peg is part of the neck, or it'd just be one of those things you'd have to live with. Only other option would be to have a separate collar piece to swap out maybe?

It's a mildly challenging character to do, for sure. I'm sure we're getting him though, since they're keen on doin' everything else.
>>
>>9094534
I guess you could just give a generic clear plastic head but I wouldn't personally care for that. Is it possible to make the head ball joint removable in of itself? Like a barbell joint that can be pulled out of the neck itself. That way you'd have the range of a normal ball joint but you could also take photos of him without his wrappings.

I think it's entirely possible, it would just depend on if they feel it's "necessary" when designing the figure. And yeah, I don't know if a clear head would be very interesting. I think...Diamond did that on theirs? Or who did those Universal figures ages ago...Sideshow? God it was Sideshow. Wow.

Clear head with the peg built into it that goes into the neck. So you can pull it all off and just have the neck there and then put it back.
>>
>>9094470
I'd like to see a head in the process of being unwrapped. So like plastic bandages sculpted to look like their contouring around a head but there's empty gaps to look through
>>
>>9095519
That's a great idea. This made me think of a potential way around an invisible head. Have it be his wrappings or a scarf that fits into the neck joint. So the head is just a fancier neck.

Alpha Predator is great. Ultimate Ahab is really nice too, from some of the comics. Golden Angel is great. He's actually the Elder Predator from Predator 2, from a short comic that details how he got the flintlock pistol that he throws to Danny Glover at the end of the movie.

Actually, any of the Ultimate Predator 2/Lost Tribe Preds are pretty good.

neca truly makes collectibles. You can tell because the MSRP starts off at like 20-30 and then after the item sells enough it shoots up to insane levels, even the lowliest item then starts commanding 50, 60 or even 70 dollars on amazon

Can someone sane explain this "nondurable goods" debacle to me? Is it not actually NECA classifying their products as perishable so they can't face legal action for making fragile toys that don't last and come apart in their packaging at times? Because that is what it looks like. This subject seems to be the lynchpin of the most persistent and omnipresent shitposting on this board, and I'm tired of it, and just want to understand what the truth of the matter is.

None of my NECA products have had issues, and I have multiple Godzillas and a few Aliens and Predators. A friend of mine had the Ultimate Gremlin and its limbs came off when he gently handled it.

Compare their prices to BBTS or Entertainment Earth who do get their figures straight from NECA.

If you're buying directly from Amazon/Target/Walmart you're paying MSRP. There's often a huge difference between buying from them directly or buying from a seller using their site.

>If people still want the figure after its nearly sold out theyll have to pay

Welcome to the world of collecting anything.

It's not for me, but they've had some success with the foam replicas. Personally, if I'm going for a foam fuckdoll I'd go for pic-related instead.

I've had no issues either. My Ash vs Evil Dead came out of the package fine, posed fine, hasn't exploded or anything. My cousin has Jason part 6 and he's been on his dresser for years.

I guess neca doesn't do cheapo 7" 25 buck figures anymore then

Sometimes? They still do some for $25. Most of the ones in your pic are part of their Ultimates "line" so they're a little pricier for more accessories.

As if 5 bux is much different. They usually come with more things.
The $25 godzillas only had a beam at most.
People can shit on neca all they want but they give us decent amount of decent accessories for cheap in their ultimates. Some $60-$80 figures in other brands come with Jack shit.

I don't tend to see most accessories as worth anything

Those life size figures sell pretty well, especially around holidays or as store displays.
>>
Can someone fill me in on these stupid mother fuckers that think it's acceptable to charge this much for a fucking neca? Jesus fucking christ the balls on these kids. Do they rely purely on FOMO?

That's cause you're a shit head that doesn't play with his toys.
If you're not actively sharing accessories between all your shit you suck ass. All my NECAs have held each other's accessories and they include them because a lot more people than you do see them as worth something.

>Toywiz
That's the start and end of the problem right there. Never shop there.

i used to live about 30 min from their retail store which totally sucked. I think the owner just scalps like crazy online to prop up his failing /tg/ store.
