Previous thread: >>8961052Checklist: https://m.imgur.com/a/YAVUq40Shang Chi wave finally hits stores and online, with the Disney+ wave revealed only a day later. Shown off in the last stream: >Byrne Negative Zone costume Johnny Storm, possibly as part of a retro FF wave>classic Hercules>shirtless wolverine>Excalibur box set possiblyWhat are you most looking forward to this year? Bad guys wave? Iron man wave? Age of Apocalypse round 2? Personally really looking forward to having a classic Red Skull and Ultron.
>>8974331I just wish they'd fuck off with the wolverine releases for a little bit. Also if I see one more deadpool I'll probably lose it.
>>8974331Marvel Select Rampaging Hulk up on BBTS, with 3 left. If any anons were looking for it. I pulled the trigger after someone else told me they were up. Can't beat that price when it's going for $60 elsewhere
>>8974331This is gayer than the that other thread.
An Excalibur set or even wave would be great, especially if they go with alan davis/mark farmer designs.
>>8974394Set is confirmed already.
>>8974556Was Excalibur a big team? I don't remember much about it other than Nightcrawler being in it for a bit.
Will this thread get shoah'd too?Looking forward to the F4 wave.
>>8974573Hoping they end up doing a retro style human torch like the 3.75 fig eventually, if not for this wave. Shame that we're just getting another fiery hands johnny. I've got at least the walgreens one, but it's weird that they did 2 mostly normal ones in a row.
>>8974565Not really. Besides Kitty and Kurt and Rachel the team was Captain Britian and Meggan with a rotation of two or three other characters who'd fuck right off with whoever the writer at the time was when they left the book.
should I sell my nightcrawler and capt britain bros. not sure how much nightcrawler goes for but capt britain I bought for $1.5
>>8974641Captain I would consider it, he might get a new mold. I like the nightcrawler so much that I bought extras and they can just stay boxed up.
>>8974350Do they even sell? Other than tiger stripe and 80's brown from the Apoc and Juggs waves I feel like all of the recent Wolverine releases have been slow sellers (or outright pegwarmers in AoA's case).
>>8974691He’s always packed 2 per case which makes him seem like a slow seller. I think the only ones that straight up took forever to sell are Weapon X (the naked one) and the Retro stealth costume. And AoA obviously.
>>8974691They're impulse buys so yes. I have seen many adults put them into their carts or pick them up in the aisle.
>>8974691>Do they even sell? What a stupid question. Do you see them on pegs right now?
>>8974565It was an odd book that people really enjoyed at the time but nobody remembers.
>>8974359And it's gone ;_;
>>8974892After he appears on Loki.
How's the venompool BAF? The whole set is up at BBTS and I want to know if it's worth the hassle to buy and resell all of the figures for venompool
>>8974610I hate that they did the modern F4 wave at all since it dilutes the brand and now we have people asking why are they evening doing another F4 lineup, not knowing that the white/blue costumes are the best. I'm just glad I can have a 90's F4 to go with the 90's Iron Man and War Machine as part of the "Marvel Action Hour". I'm also hoping for a jumpsuit Thing this time around.
>>8975130I really like the fig, but it's probably best you go watch a video on it. I think the whole wave was good besides morbius
>>8975130Personally not a huge fan, mine was really stiff. But he has a lot of detail. I’d watch a video review first, I don’t think most of the figs in the wave sell for more than retail>>8975188I feel the same. But we’ve got confirmation they’re making Byrne costumes, so if anything sales of those will increase popularity since the costumes are the most iconic short of the originals. Plus you can milk those outfits. She-Hulk, She-Thing, maybe Bagman Spider-Man (same era at least).
>>8975130good figures from shit characters, like McFarlane Metal line
>>8975188My only concern is when are we gonna get another flame-on Human Torch againI've got the Walgreens one, but other fans deserve a chancePlus the body mold doesn't match up
>>8974331Nova is up on the eb games website if any canadanons want him
Post Fantastic Four never evers.
Who wants their $22.99 Awkwafina (Katy of 'Shang-Chi') action figure?
>>8975130Probably the best BAF they've ever made. Textured detailing from head to toe, 2 pairs of hands and actual accessories. Its still an inexcusably shit wave overall but as its own figure its pretty good.
>>8974741Not him but AoA Weapon X had to be clearanced out.
>>8975901The end of that episode was so wild. IIRC Reed says she looks hot in black, so she grabs him and makes them both invisible, and they start making out right in front of Ben and Johnny.
>>8975953New cum tribute
>>8975953look at that disgusting finger
>>8974350They can stop after they put out the last two I want.
>>8976104Bros, I want a Stick so bad.
>>8976104Those two, and one more (sorta).
>>8975953Watch out Awkwafina! There's a black guy holding you
Do you plan on getting them?
>>8976379No. We're at the point now where I will be able to all but completely pass on MCU waves. So long as they don't pull some kind of bullshit like the Shang Chi wave and put in a really good Comic BaF in it.
>>8976379Weird theres no Angelina figure, I'd get her alongside the loli and Gemma figures, the rest are easy skips.
>>8976379>>8976457I seriously feel like this is entire wave is going to pegwarm so hard
>>8976457I like the look of the white bitch
>>8976104Hell yeah, my fellow feral bro.
>>8976508Shes the one without a figure, so far.
>>8976519That ugly art is when I stopped buying x-men. Right after Age of apocalypse right?
Are there any toys of their first incarnation?
>>8976609I think so, thats when he was "feral" wolvie so around the heros reborn time.
>>8976457I guess they are bound to make two waves of this thing, don't they?
>>8976379>>8975953all the new release are going to peg warm, i may stop collecting marvel legends because the new stuff is boring
>>8976780Toybiz almost matched it with the wolverine from the savage land line. No one paid collector prices for toybiz xmen then or now lel
>>8976791Yeah. Just even 2 years ago I was buying full wave after full wave. Now I'm lucky if there's a single figure that interests me. Can't say I'm getting anything from the Shang Chi or Disney+ waves. I even saw the Shang Chi wave yesterday and couldn't care less.
>>8976769Itsa me'a, Marios!
>>8976221Seconding, after cyborg spidey albert is a character Ive wanted for years. Now we have cyborg spidey, its time for albert.
>>8976609Adam Kubert and Joe Madeurouieura was still drawing comics then, so.... how dare you!
>>8976858I like Adam's work but not Joe Mad and his clones. Those guys felt like bad Bengus clones rendering in American comics style.
>>8976791>>8976846Bad guys wave or the iron man wave don’t have any figures you want?
>>8976769That ToyBiz one look close enough.
>>8976505Unless the movie catches on big time in the marketing phase I imagine they'll pegwarm like shit for a while, at least up till the movie actually hits and then maybe a few select figures will be harder to find than othersHoping this wave isn't the one that retailers go in on after the barren aisles of the last few months
>>8975953Ogre thumb, wtf
>>8976900I'm getting Red Skull, Ultron and maybe Modular Armor Iron Man. I was never a huge fan of the look of that rmor but I may end up getting it if I see it on store shelves. I also don't collect too many villains. Just the big name ones.
>>8976519Yeah, joe madduria sucked. He's a but more refined now, but still sucks.
>>8976900I'm so excited for the villains wave, don't get why it gets so much hate.>Red Skull, Arcade, and Lady Deathstrike all on pre-order, automatic buys >Just got Modok, and have some Pulse AIM troopers on the way, so Scientist Supreme is now a lock >with all these classic villains recently, might as well get Dormammu>can never have too many DOOMs>such a wild BAF with Xemnu, especially after recent Immortal Hulk eventsThe only figure I won't keep I think will be The Hood. I've read stuff with Parker Robbins in it, but I don't have a huge attachment to the character, and the figure just looks bad.
>>8976792No but when i look at my old deadpool and weapon x kane figures i get a misty eyed. I was like 15 when i was asked if i was too old to be in the toy aisle, great days.
>>8977051MODOK is really fun for what’s basically a statue/Mr. Potato Head.Dormammu was a surprise cop for me. He looks really good and I’m glad he’s not huge. Just need classic Strange, Clea, and Mordo now.Ultron and Red Skull have been wants of mine for a while. Lady Deathstrike too, I just have more x-men villains than avengers villains right now. I’m sure I’ll appreciate her more in-hand.I’m also surprised that I want Xemnu, so I’m hoping the Hood and Arcade’s parts won’t be too expensive, even though they’re less popular.Lastly God Doom, who I wasn’t sure I wanted but he just looks neat. I’m just kind of surprised people say ML has been boring lately, strictly because MCU stuff is kinda droll and X-Men isn’t as 90’s focused lately. While I’ll admit we could use more Spider-Man and Fantastic Four stuff, we NEVER get classic Avengers villains. And this upcoming wave goes a long way for that. There’s a huge roster I still want.>classic Zemo>Baron Strucker>Madame Viper>Skurge the Executioner>classic Hulk-sized Abomination>Ronan the Accuser>Annihilus>Count Nefaria>Wonder Man
>>8976379I could use some more foreigner figures to go with my spies, thieves, and criminals.
>>8976519>>8976104Was there a Toybiz figure of him? I think I remember having one. Maybe it was just the Savage Land one that came with a dino and had bone claws.
>>8977099There was in the Onslaught subline. With real forearm hair!
>>8977091A classic Zemo is pretty likely I'd imagine. Hopefully he comes with Sr. and Jr. masked heads and an unmasked deformed head.
x-men gamervers when? deluxe packs with different blast effects.
>>8977485Here you go, bro
>>8977515in 6inch 1/12 mode
>>8976379no they all look boring as shit
Selects never seem to get any love on here. What is everyone's favourite select. Pic related for me
>>8977594I know his articulation is complete garbage but Anti-Venom still looks absolutely gorgeous, and has remained a favorite of mine.
>>8976505Yeah it's going to be the next Dune of shelf warmers.
>>8977594Destroyer for me. I like Selects well enough, but the style and articulation is too inconsistent.
>>8977594Juggernaut for me but the new Hulk is great. It would be nice if they made big guys more often.
>>8977594Only Select I have is the Disney Store Thanos and he's pretty good. I'm still pissed at myself for never getting Destroyer when I had the chance, I need him for my Asgard Display. I only really wanted that Taskmaster for Fodder, but I'm pretty sure the parts would be to large for the Legends Taskmaster. Mostly I just want that head, be cool if someone did a shrunk down cast of it as I kind of hate the head the Classic Taskmaster came with.
Finally got SHF Scarlet Witch from US P-Bandai but I have no motivation to open her.Modok also showed up though, and he's awesome!! I didn't put together his thrust effect/base because I wanted to swoosh him around, haha. It also seems like it's one of those one-time connection pieces (for the thrust part and the base, that is). For folks who have assembled the base, does it come apart easily for storage?
>>8977485MAFEX Cyclops and SHF Sakura
>>8977771in the style of the games
>>8976457>>8976505>>8976379>>8976434They're called the eternals because they're going to be eternally warming pegs.
>>8976457>>8976379God, I feel nothing looking at these designs. They look like random futuristic outfit design sketches taken from Artstation.
>>8977594Thanos with Death is still the best Thanos, easy.
How compatible are the Shang Chi movie figures in regards to popping off the movie heads and using the bodies for civilian bodies for MJ, Gwen, Maddrox, Peter Parker, etc? Or did they fucking use the mushroom head joint used on figures like Infinity War Cap to make it impossible for people to use them for custom fodder?
I've been eyeing civil warrior alot, not because I even care about the character, but simply because it's such a well put together figure. Then it hit me, why they hell havent they retooled that buck to make agent venom? He's damn well close as is.
>>8978542Agent Venom looks nothing like Cap in half an Iron Man costume
>>8978542>why they hell havent they retooled that buck to make agent venomThere are better options out there to retool a figure into Agent Venom. Take the Night Thraser figure, pop on the vest and head from Agent Venom. If you want to go further, swap the lower legs and forearms from Agent venom.Another option is to use the upper body from Paladin, the neck and shoulder pads thing from Malekith and Lower body, and Head from Agent Venom. These are just ideas to use parts from, if you want to make your own you'd have to put in the work on them. Depending on the artist Agent Venom has had more of a realistic looking tactical armor look or something more akin to chitin.
>>8977667Nah, it’s kinda like you said. The thruster part that plugs into the base is basically permanent. I’ve gotten it out with a little force but I could easily see the plug in getting loose over time if I do it again. The final piece at the base is removable, just like Professor X’s thrust from his hover chair, but that’s it.
>>8978636Took the words right out of my mouth. Paladin and Night Thrasher both have the look you want. I personally just painted a brother voodoo’s torso black and removed the pins in his arms and legs to swap Agent Venom’s parts in, with the Agent V head and body armor taking care of the rest. I do wish we’d get a more modern body. I liked his smoother look rather than the “chitin” one, although the smooth one didn’t last long.
>>8978650One on the right is my custom. Obviously the body armor does the bulk of the work, and this photo was taken before I painted the line work on the legs.
>>8974331How do you guys think about this being worth the $140 to be one of 3 mafex figures in my otherwise marvel legends MCU and comics collection (alongside endgame cap with mjolnir and Xmen tas/90s cyclops) I’m pumped for it but really getting kinda ridiculous with my money with >transformers war for cybertron>beast wars>TMNT figuarts and some neca>dbz figuarts>marvel legends >Star Wars black series>power rangers lightning collection
>>8978655I would wait for reviews t. buys most Mafex releases
Why won't Hasbro make a Marvel Conan figure?
>>8978511They're easily swappable
>>8978655Don't buy Mafex from BBTS, they overprice them
>>8978733Conan isn't owned by Marvel so there's separate licensing involved.
>>8976900i got white doom on preorder and ironman modular, and modok, but i have no interest in eternalals, shing-chi or the falcon lines
Aw fuck, I got a two right foot Modok
>>8977667I guess I didn't push mine in enough because I got my modok apart and back in his box just fine.
>>8978733Give it like 2 years.
>>8978733Imagine a Marvel Legends Red Sonja in current year
Is Amazon shipping out MODOK?
>>8979360Why did you put this in my head, thatd be like waiting for an angela figure.
>>8978645>>8979152Thank you, anons! If I do assemble the base, I'll try not to plug things in all the way. >>8978883Aw man, sorry to hear that. Hope you can get it exchanged easily.
>>8977631I wish they'd replace BAF's with Selects
>>8974331Hot damn, looks like my Wolvie is getting a new boyfriend!
Anyone got their movie Venom in yet? From what vids I've seen he's pretty great. Enjoyed the movie as a fun romp despite its flaws. Also really liked how Venom looked since the Spidey 3 Venom looked like hot garbage. White veins instead of the spider symbol I thought was a clever way to give him a similar design to normal without being blatant.
>>8979453Anon that already happened
>>8979360That company that made that Lady Death is apparently making one, so that's pretty close.
>>8980010Oh thank Crom.
>>8974394Fuck off Britbong
>>8980113Because a Red Sonja made by a western company that doesn't placate to twitter trannies stands a much better chance of being good than a Marvel Legends one in today's climate.
>>8977091>MODOK is really fun for what’s basically a statue/Mr. Potato Head.>Mr. Potato Head.Fucking kek! He'd kill you if he knew you called him that.
>>8980140No no, you don't thank Crom is what I'm saying, Crom is only uttered in curses.
>>8980246If only one of the toy companies that have thr DC liscence would make an Egg Fu to hangout with MODOK.Maybe if there's an Egg Fu that's also Batman-themed . . .
>>8980281God I hate McFarlane so much.
>>8978764>>8978682Well I’m a retard that preordered both that iron man and endgame cap. And I got cyclops for cheap around Christmas. Overpaid but at the very least I can put those two titans in their own shelf area. Skipped out Thor’s endgame final fight too once marvel legends infinity saga one came out
>>8980322He literally holds hundreds of characters hostage with his line. So many figures have no chance of being made because they have nothing to do with Batmeme.
>>8980281There's a negative percentage chance of that happening.
>>8980408Even the ones who are related to Batman don't get figures. Ventriloquist has never gotten a figure. Mr. Zssaz you have to get the dated and hard to find Arkham Asylum version or the really mediocre. The only hope for Bat rogues is Mezco. Meanwhile, Hasbro has given us some obscure hidden gems.
>>8980416I mean, he's a giant yellow Chinese egg . . . even the 52 one is still offensive on the grounds of being a monster and being Chinese.
>>8980425Mediocre Gotham version of Mr. Zssaz.
>>8976958>Hoping this wave isn't the one that retailers go in on after the barren aisles of the last few monthsBy saying that, you basically just guaranteed it will be.
>>8980425Even A-listers like Luthor, Aquaman, Riddler and Mr. Freeze stand little chance of being made. For fuck's sake Doomsday and Bane had to be half-Batman to even exist.
>>8977594Gladiator Hulk was a surprise and a weird one at that. It was a superior version of the BAF that came out at the same time, essentially causing the BAF series to compete with the bigger and heavier built toy.
>>8977594Gotta be Groot. He replaced my Legends Guardians 5-pack Groot. Not my favourite look for the character, I'd like a more spindly version preferably with the uniform, but the Select is real bulky and solid.Thinking of getting Drax to replace my Legends one too.
>>8980429He was one of the highlights of that show, to be honest
>>8980425>The only hope for Bat rogues is Mezcolmao no
>>8980855Is this what new comics are like?
>>8980668Can you muster another, debatable response? Mafex maybe, but you are delusional to think any other company will be making DC figures beyond Joker.>>8980455It's funny because I think Mafex will make a Bane and Doomsday way before McFarlane gets around to it.>>8980589Loved his portrayal in the show, the figure itself is mediocre.
>>8980855You don't even know the meaning of the word, pinko

>>8980932>you are delusional to think any other company will be making DC figures beyond JokerBut does it really matter if Mezco makes them when they're overdesigned OC and/or in ill-fitting soft goods?
>>8976958Do they still have peg warmers? The shelves in my area have been bare for over a year. They order like one set and if you don’t get it the day it’s put on the shelf you never see them again.
>>8981098Peter B and Frogman have kept some warmth on the shelves around me for the last few months. Lots of bare sections beyond them though.Anyone slice the other side of Marvel Girl's skirt?? If so, did it give her legs any use at all? No idea why they only put a cut in on the one side.
>>8980427Just release him without fanfare so non comic readers won't know. Fat chance of that happening though. We likely won't even get more famous characters like Atrocitus or Mongul.
>>8981009>currentExtremely fast decline since mid 1990's, yet to hit rock bottom.>Perlmutter ml when?
>>8981092You've seen the alternative, McFarlane gets it right about 35% of the time.
>>8981712Which is more or less how often Mezco gets it right
>>8981749Mezco made KGBeast, Two-Face, Black Mask and Mr. Freeze. McFarlane has yet to do that.
>>8981776And of those figures, KGBeast looks good. You seem to have mistakenly assumed I'm defending McFarlane. I'm simply saying Mezco also sucks.
So what's a safe bet comic-based Iron Man armor we could see in ML next? A new version of the Oversize /Model 09 that isn't ironically undersized and I'm sure we'll see the Modular armor again in Retro packaging with the mouth slit like in the first season of the 90's cartoon.
Why is this $100 nowDidn't everyone complain at how gummy the joints were when it first came out
>>8981903Maybe a comic Hulkbuster. They always sell well and Hasbro hasn't done it yet.
>>8981937A lot of people passed on it the first time, mostly because few people were working towards a full X-Men team or were under the belief that Hasbro would move so slowly on that front that it wouldn't be worth the time. Iceman pegwarmed because so few people actually bought him, and now that people are rushing to complete their X-Men collections and going back to get what they missed, he's expensive specifically because nobody bought him. Low supply and high demand increases the price. This was also why the same Rogue from that wave got super expensive as well.
>>8981937Gummy joints or not, I love this look for Iceman, so he's a favorite.
>>8981937I have a second one I bought because I thought the gummy joints were just a one-off QC thing and not universal for that figure.I might help another anon out if people really want Iceman for THAT much.
>>8976379When they're on clearance but only because I want some of their hands to give to my Star Wars figures
>>8981937I absolutely hate this figure and felt it wasn't even worth the $8 I paid for it when amazon was trying to get rid of the peg warmers from that wave years ago. I would always have problems with getting him to stand properly and was happy to toss him into a bin when the retro Iceman arrived.

>>8982083Those ultron bits don't look like BAF parts. Is it just... scrap metal? What a weird fucking accessory.
>>8981903I want the Ultimate one.
>>8982083I hope we get that Ultron bot one day. Maybe an Ultron/Chitauri/Outrider 3 pack.
>>8982231I think it's neat but would be better if we had other AoU figures with scrap Ultron bits, and actual Ultron Drones to recreate the best scenes from that movie.

>>898190301, 09, 12, and 17 are my biggest wants. And comic Hulkbuster of course.>>8982087Here’s hoping. I want those classic “I only used this for a single mission” suits. Like the original space suit, and the underwater armor suit.
>>8982083Variant running head would be far better than random metal scraps. These would make more sense with Wanda, taking Ultron "heart" and all.
>>8981903I wish they did a new Heroes Reborn, it's a whacky 90's design but I really like it.
>>8982083Did they used Isaacs face scan by mistake?

>>8981903It's interesting how the Toybiz OG armor stood the test of time. Anyway, I'd love a ML Retro/Sentient armor.
>>8984033Now there's costs ontop of customs fees? Based europoors.
>>8984033>based England backed out of this garbage BREXIT WAS RIGHT
>>8984109>>8984110It's easy to laugh at a stranger on an anonymous board... But have mercy for a fellow collector who's been a fan since the early Toybiz days. I legit don't even know how I'll be continuing the collection without paying out the ass completely since most of my ML stuff came from the UK.
>>8984162All jokes aside that does suck. Have you considered moving to a non-eu nation?
>>8984172Yeah and it seems like it's becoming a reality the more time goes by, sick and tired of this shit. I've already been paying +/- 35 euro (which is about 40/45 dollars?) for one ML on average and now that price is going to double even if I'll be trying to order from the UK, the only place that has relatively cheap and acceptable range of MLs.
>>8984178Of course apart from this the EU generally has been insanely pathetic and cucked, we're probably the last ones to receive vaccinations aside actual third world countries let alone the fact that you get taxed 50% of your wage here. It's basically one big mafia state with a lot of bureaucracy where everything is expensive and where the rich actually pay less tax than the mid/poor class.
>>8984109We always had to pay VAT and customs management fees for items over 20-22€ (I don't recall the exact amount, I guess it was 22€ since the text highlights that amount). The news is that: now the lower threshold is gone and we'll pay for items under that amount regardless; and the UK is outside the EU now so we have to pay to import from the UK.The VAT is not that much of a problem since it's just a reasonable % of the price, and hey, it pays hospitals and shit after all, I guess, but those fuckers charge you 15-20€ on top of the VAT in management costs for importing the package. I hope that the new rules bring cheaper prices for this concept or else it's going to be ridiculous.>>8984162I presume that you are in a small country with no dedicated store? I live in Spain and I've been buying from a Spanish online store at like 22-25€ each Marvel Legends figure. I suppose you can find similar stores in most countries, but if that's not the case maybe some EU based store takes the spot and starts making good business continentally or they make some arrangement placing a wharehouse in the EU or whatever.
>>8984110It took 5 years but finally something good came out of it. Thanks, I guess?
>>8984033Bought something from the UK in february and paid 22€ in VAT for a 105€ order I think. It was reasonable because I would have paid more here in Germany. I called up the customs office and they told me, VAT doesn't apply to books and comics. I'm still cautious because a UK online shop listed an Absolute Edition I bought as cheaper in their papers.
>>8984178In what shithole do you live? I'm in the EU myself and I pay 25 eurobucks per figure even with the new model.
>>8981937I hope Mafex makes an iceman so I can sell my ML.
>tfw just bought Deluxe War Machine for 25 bucks on AmazonFeels good, bros. Is there any chance Iron Man gets a Deluxe release as well? I missed out on the 80th Anniversary Iron Man and would love to have a classic Iron Man in my collection (no modular Armor)
The new Nova came in, his articulation is way better than the previous one but in terms of aesthetic the old one is better in my opinion. I think the new one will make a great army builder. Having both these guys makes me kinda want to pick up Sam, is he any good?
>>8984953I wish the new one had the colors of gold and blue they used on the old one. Maybe he wouldn’t look so lackluster.Sam is honestly a great figure, that ultimate Spidey buck has great articulation. Just be careful with the ankles, never ran into problems with Spidey but I owned two novas and they either had really tight or really loose ankles.
>>8983196Ralph Bohner getting a figure implies that Agnes would also get one... so... take that, monkey?
>>8984828The monkey's paw has heard your request, here's your new iceman figure
>>8985175>presenting you the Fabulous X-MenI'd buy that
>>8982767Nice, he's got alt hands to finger fuck his sister and another character with
>>8974331My birthday was a few days ago and i got this gold rhino as a present in the mail today from my dad
>>8985175I know they made both his young and modern versions gay but what the hell is this?
>>8985798it's his outfit for the mutant version of the met gala
>>8984953Does the head on the Walgreens fit on the Nova Prime body? And if so, how does it look?
>>8986098you can see this exact thing in the shartimus review
>>8986117Shartimus gets a lot of shit and deservedly so but he does a lot of scale comparisons and head swaps. You just have to skip to the end of the video.
>>8986098I haven't tried it but the nova prime head is a good bit smaller than the walgreens head, as the other anon said check the end of the shartimus video to see how it looks
>>8985798Its never enough. People might still think he's straight, so they had to make him super over the top gay.
>>8985175If I was a gay man I'd be offended by the fact that all the gay male mutants were given weird corset dresses, huge stripper heels and the continued insistence on gay being feminine.
Any chance Spidey 2099 and Rhino BAF will get reissued? I let my friend borrow mine along with my other double spidey figures but he got hospitalized due to cancer. His parents sold his collection and mine were also sold in the process. Now they're too expensive for me to buy at the current market. Still have mixed feelings atm.
>>8986499Rhino BAF, probably as a single release like Kingpin. 2099, doubtful. Maybe when spider-verse 2 comes out theyll make a new one, but itll probably be stylized like the movie. They don't usually just straight up rerelease figures on their own without changing something.
>>89864992099 probably won't get a straight reissue on the same mold, but I'm hopeful he'll get a new figure on the retro mold.
so let's roll-call the bucks. help me out. it's gotta be the first figure on the buck...Is it the Pizza Spidey buck, the Superior Spiderman buck or the Spider-man 2099 buck. That skinny one that still baffles me to this day...Then there's the Spider-man 2099 buck. Or is it the Sunfire Buck? The leaner one with the flooshy lower abs and the butterfly joints.Bucky cap - of course - is the Bucky capHyperion is that like, MOTU-wannabe shitDon't know the female bucks as well. Like is it the Medussa buck from the Thanos Imperative set, or is it the Storm buck from the Jubilee wave? There's the Jubilee buck, but is it the Anya Corizon buck? The female teenager buck? The Kate Bishop buck is the one with the shite lateral splits, right?Have we been collecting too long to remember the nomenclature? Is it important?F it. I say that like since 2014, Hasbro's been (more than not) making some incredible figures.Yeah, I'm drunk. So F you! lolJust give me a GSXM Banshee, and an old school generic-ass Kiity Pryde in the black and yellow and I'm done...Psyche! I need more villains. I need this image to satiate me-he-he-he-he-heeeeeee
>>8986600>Is it the Pizza Spidey buck, the Superior Spiderman buck or the Spider-man 2099 buck. That skinny one that still baffles me to this day...Superior Spider-Man had a separate, shorter torso, but I think the arms and legs were reused for Pizza Spidey. Pizza Spidey and 2099 were released in the same wave, so technically you could refer to it either way, but since 2099 had different forearms that weren't reused, it makes more sense to call it the Pizza Spidey buck, especially considering the later body that debuted with a 2099 Spidey figure.
>>8986198>the gayer he gets, the more insufferable he becomesI'm imagining people slipping on his "dress".
>>8982767>I run and run but the depression always catches me
>>8986235gay heroes in general get the worst fucking outfits, just look at that gay captain america they made recently, gay heroes cant look cool anymore like midnighter.
>>8984183I was talking to a friend in canada and I didn't realize shit was kinda still really fucked there, here in nyc shits more or less returning to normal to the point where my local planet fitness is open 24h again but up in the great white north gyms aren't even open according to her. Of course this is completely fucking off topic so uh anyone getting john walker cap are you getting the black suit or blue walmart exclusive one? I'm going for the Walmart one since I kinda prefer that look for him plus we saw him in the black suit for all of 3 seconds.
>>8985175Please tell me you're fucking kiddingPlease tell me they didn't use this
>>8985175Holy mother of based
>Quicksilver announcedYawn. These recent ML waves have sure sucked dick. I can't wait for the super villain wave so I can actually find something interesting in stores, even if it's just the leftovers that pegwarm. At least they're all decent enough looking figures and not Shang Chi MCU shit or 5 different versions of Iron Man.
>>8986235I only know two gay people and they are "Tired of being framed all faggy in shit"
>>8974350Might as well ask them to stop making Spider-Man while you're at it.
Any Tom Hardy looking heads that'd fit on the movie Venom figure?
>>8980425I wish we'd a good Ventriloquist with an articulated scarface, they always just make him a slug figure.
>>8980427Easy, just make the shell white or light brown like actual eggs
>>8980455Bane wasnt half batman though
>>8981776Mr. Freeze is just the Arkham design, isn't it?
>>8986127why deservedly? he's just a lil obnoxious but aside of that?
>>8987165It’s a combination of cringy stuff for me. Asking for free toys, advertising BBTS constantly, the intro to his reviews, the Super Uber Dork or whatever, focusing on how big the tits, ass, and feet are (but only on female figures), the stop motion Spidey stuff, and that he’s always selected as, like, “the representative of the community” when it comes to asking the Hasbro reps stuff, but he always just asks about female double elbows and giving the girl figures bigger tits and ass. Even his name is literally “a pun off of Optimus Prime but it’s poop.” Idk. A lot of this stuff is toned down lately but still. I wish I didn’t have to watch his stuff at all, but he’s also the only collector (seemingly) who does common sense comparisons, like showing how a new figure scales next to the old repainted one, AND the old Toybiz one, AND the Select. And he also shows their height. For some reason, no other reviewers do this consistently; they’ll just show the height of the newest iron man next to the most recent figure they reviewed, a Power Ranger. It’s fucking useless. So Shartimus does have some utility but I shouldn’t have to mute the fucking review just to get what I need.
>>8987143Yes and no, it take inspiration from the design but Victor's look hasn't drastically changed really beyond the New 52 version.
>>8987123I have the Animated Series version DC Collectibles did years ago as a stand in. The price even on that one is stupid now.
>>8987191I like that Shartimus will also do size comparisons for figures with other characters. If he's reviewing Wolverine than he'll compare him to Cyclops, Jean, Hulk, etc.
>>8980425I jist want a Killer Croc, but McFarlane won't even do that...
>>8987226You’ll get your Killer Croc Batman and you’ll like it
>>8977091Is MCU stuff in the ML line frowned upon in general or is it just that people want a variety of comic characters from different universes and get annoyed when it's too much MCU? For instance if there was a great MCU Dr. Strange I'd want that, but I'd also want a normal comic Dormamu since his MCU appearance was just a giant floating space head.
>>8987226The Mattel one before they lost the license was pretty good. A little big but the Arkham versions are larger. >>8987307With a chase variant of Regular Croc.
>>8976457I don't mind diversity but who even are these people? Looking at this just makes me go "Where's X-Men?"
>>8987336I think it’s a little of column A and a little of column B. From what I can tell, MCU stuff is popular, but a) it can be very hit or miss, since new sculpts every time means accessories are often lacking, b) they haven’t made X character yet, or c) the sculpt is inaccurate because they based it on concept art.At any rate, as a comic-only guy, MCU stuff is usually a monkey’s paw. For one, comic BAFs are usually locked behind a wave of MCU figures. On top of that, MCU stuff receives cases and cases, making them harder to sell. On top of THAT, stores stock MCU stuff over comic stuff because it appeals to non-hardcore fans, making getting a comic BAF from an MCU wave extremely cost-unfriendly.Additionally, stuff like MCU waves largely prevent us from getting comic avengers stuff. The upcoming Iron Man wave is fine, but the last comic Avengers wave without an MCU or Gamerverse figure was the second retro wave back in 2018. I can’t complain too much; I got a comic Kang and Jocasta last year. But that whole wave could’ve easily been A-list Avengers villains and B-list heroes, if you take away MCU and Gamerverse stuff. The avengers, comic-wise, are sorely lacking. Lastly, in order of popularity, I’d say it’s 90’s X-men, then other x-men stuff, then Spider-Man, then MCU, then comic Avengers, then Fantastic Four stuff, with cosmic comic stuff being dead last. If I had to guess based off of sales numbers. Lately Marvel has been hammering MCU stuff just fine, but Spidey waves have been kinda sparse distribution-wise, and X-Men has shifted to either new modern stuff with House of X or alternate universe Age of Apocalypse stuff, neither of which is going to capture 100% of the people who bought the 90’s stuff. So it’s not 100% anger at MCU stuff, but I can understand why people might skip everything but the villains wave this year.
>>8987191I like that he uses a measuring tape and actually puts it next to the figure, I don't get why more reviewers don't do that because unless I either have or know the height of the figure they're comparing it too I'd still need to guess the height.
>>8987336With the decline of the MCU I wonder how much longer they will continue wasting plastic on characters like Quicksilver and Marvel's Katy while not giving us a classic comic Dr. Strange and Adam Warlock.
>>8987226Extremely glad I got the mattel Croc before they stopped making DC figures
>>8985392Does his neck extend?
>>8987461His disguating hips and single jointed knee kept me away. If only the DC license was with a toy maker who once specialized in monsters and demons. It's baffling how Todd hasn't made a Croc, Parasite, Doomsday, Clayface, Swamp Thing or Eterigan. But hey, this is the same guy who refuses to make Doom demons too.
>>8987457They're obviously waiting for the respective doctor strange 2 and guardians 3 wave to release those figures. We only get comic figures if the movie figures sell, I don’t see your point.
>>8987457I don't know if I'd call it a decline exactly. It's going to be near impossible to top Infinity War/Endgame. So in that sense it's declining. As long as they have characters like Strange, Spidey, the Guardians, it should have at least some good stuff in it. X-Men have yet to show up too. Basically as long as the characters people care about get figures even if they push others I don't mind.
>>8987419I went looking for a War Machine like a year or so ago. Decided to see what the Endgame ML looked like. I thought it looked fucking cool but it didn't look like from the movie. Which, in this regard, was nice because I thought his suit in Endgame looked off. The ML figure is nice and bulky and all around what I'd want him to look like in the MCU. Apparently is was based on movie concept art as you said. Since I grabbed him I decided to grab the Endgame Tony and while it's neat and all and cool to have Tony's last outing in figure form I don't like the skin tight look of it. I get why it's like that but I just don't like it. I like my Ironman to be a little bulky. Is the ML MK1 figure any good?
>>8987478Why the hell would a figure company who was created for the sole purpose of making SPAWN figures refuse to make DOOM demons? That makes zero sense.
>>8988029You have to love that we can actually have constructive criticism about McFarlane in another thread. If we dare to this in the designated thread Toddloids will scream in unison.
>>8987478>>8988029Isn't this a demon? And there could be a lot of reasons why McFarlane didn't make anything new after this, like sales weren't that great, the liscense expiring, or the licensor themselves not wanting to get more made. They might have even lost retail support or even retailers asking for just doomguy to be made.
>>8988006>Spidey>good stuffMCU Spidey and his supporting cast being in-name-only characters is pretty much singlehandedly responsible for my loss of interest in the MCU
Meanwhile, in Mexico
>>8988228I like Tom Holland as Spidey and the movies aren't total shit to me. The supporting characters being a hodge podge of whatever is disappointing sure. I still don't think they're bad. The suits kind of annoy me. Iron Spider just looks gaudy. The more normal suits are off just enough for me to wish they were different. I think I liked his homemade suit the best as far as MCU Spidey suits go. >>8988311Mexico has a bigger selection of figures than my walmart. Why is my Walmart so shit?
>>8988256Hey, not so fast!
>>8988311>>8988391>Mexico has a bigger selection of figures than my walmartThat's a better selection than the last four walmarts I went to, and unironically, the older figures I previously passed on would tempt me now. For example, they never made a non-baf mantis figure and as much as I want to complete the team, I'm not sure she should be worth as much as say, a toybiz sentinel.
>>8976379When Hollywood pedos do super heroes...This will be the pinnacle of peg warming! The Uber-Peg-warming!Cancel culture wants to replace everything with this...
>>8988311I haven’t seen a toy aisle that looked this stocked in a decade.
He's cool. The gap in the shoulders made me think he had butterfly joints, but he didn't. Fun figure.
>>8981903If hasbro ever decides to make a silver age avengers box set, they could use their original iron man mold to make the silver mark 1, the golden mark 2 (with and without skirt and antenna), and the hydro armor. Personally Im still waiting on a movie iron monger and igor before any comic armors. Even then, if we're sticking to comic designs new thorbuster when?
>>8976379Even as fodder, they just arent worth it. There's nothing of value here.
>>8977594DST is at their nest whenever they make big figures. Hulk, Destroyer, Rhino, etc.
>>8988026>Is the ML MK1 figure any good? It’s a rerelease of the original one from the 2008 Iron Man line. I dared to hope they’d make a new one, since 90% of the 80th sets featured at least one new mold. Articulation is really bad. It’s also way too small, especially since you’re like me and the suits need to be bulky enough to fit a Tony inside of.
>>8988797>their original iron man mold to make the silver mark 1Did Hasbro make a Mark 1?
>>8988026>>8988812Just wait for the chink-made 7-inch one. ZD Toys I think their name is. It'd cost the same as any Marvel Legend as well.
>>8988817ZD toys is fine, but they tend to be 7” scale, no? I guess you can fudge it for iron man, mostly.
>>8988726Really wanna get this guy but every copy I've seen has some massive defect for some reason, will eventually cave for the shield though.
>>8988026Get the revoltech if you can. It’s close to perfect.
>>8988311which store puto?
>>8989175>>8989178Looks great but a bit pricey for me. The ML one comes with a Tony and is only 40 or so on Amazon. Can't really tell how good Tony's head looks from the photo though. If any anons have that set and can critique how the Tony looks maybe I'll grab it. What's a good normal looking Ironman figure anyway? Not necessarily the movie version but not the real old looking ones either. I know that's his original look but the face and body just looks weird to me.
>>8988817Of course I missed this before replying. Any date for when this comes out?
>>8989264I always thought the eye holes were a bit big on this suit. Sure they were just spraying at him in hopes to stop him but even just a stray bullet would have turned him into a giant hunk of metal with a dead guy in it.
>>8989328Imagine if the CIA kept trying to recruit the Killdozer guy.
>>8986499Tell your friend’s parents they owe you new figures
>>8986743>imagine living in Jew YorkReddit is that way, cuck
>>8987419I think it's tough because Walmart and Target only want MCU stuff, since they still operate on the " We only want toys with movies/tv mindset",but it's obvious the comic stuff sells more, especially "iconic" looks like Classic Iron Man and Spider-Man. Hasbro has the thread the needle with comic stuff while making Walmart and Target happy. Too many people forget that they have more say over the toy industry than anyone else.
>>8989323None yet, but they recently put out pre-orders for MK7 and MK42. This one's probably the next, I guess.
>>8989475Yeah. That’s definitely a huge part of it. That’s also why we get every MCU character under the sun, and it explains why Eternals is getting such a heavy push, toy-wise. I wish I had your explanation every time someone questions why Eternals is getting a wave at all. It’s literally just target and Walmart knowing they can make money off of a movie. I doubt they’ll sell half as well as a wave of 90’s X-Men characters but distributors don’t know the difference.
>>8988311>tfw only narcos can afford that shit
>>8981937with Hercules and Darkstar coming out everyone wants to complete their Champions team now
>>8988726Already have the best version of him...
>>8989794I wouldn't mind a 70's angel
>>8990496Damn... forgot pic
Marvel just smashed the dumb button with the head again. Sweet, now I need one Hasbro.
Can we get this Batroc please?
>>8991606I've been kicking around ideas to make a kitbash/custom of this one. The legs from Wen Wu looked like they could work, and the arms from Shatterstar. His torso and tunic thing are the only issues I'm having. Maybe the Ghost Rider torso could work, maybe.
>>8991574Not the dumbest thing they'd done with Doom. That said I still unironically want this Doom. It is fucking stupid and the Ultimate Doomwank....but I still want it.
>>8991631I am hoping they just do him, but at this point the book is too old and they didn't even do a proper Gwenpool anyway. Now that we are getting MODOK I really want this design.
>>8991652Most we can probably hope for is an MCU Batroc, and then just toss on a Comic head and a scarf.
>>8991574eff that but since we're on the subject of pastiches where's the ML
Retaliators
customs
>>8991631>His torso and tunic thing are the only issuesMaybe the new Dr Doom or the MCU Red Skull, both have coats with belts/skirts
>>8991639I'm actually tempted to do this custom for a long time. God Emperor Doom body, comic Dr Strange cape, looks easy but the amount of repaint to get it right would be a lot of work.
>>8991574Honestly, if they went all out and included the sculpted lettering on his knuckles... I might need one too. >>8991581That's actually a cool way to mash up the two logos.
>>8988311>>8988391>>8988519>>8988722Its just a shitty toy store with overpriced stuff that's why they have old pieces, the just pegwarm there.Walmart here is absolute garbage tier, most stuff here come from Amazon or FB sales groups.
>>8991670DC cant make a bootleg team to save his life
I'm in toy withdrawal. Nothing new tickles my fancy. Should I just sell everything?
>>8992886you'll regret it, also feelings like that can come in waves
>>8993380>>8992410Been feeling this way lately myself. I barely have anything on pre order and I have seen neat stuff lately only to put it back on the shelf. It doesn't help that basically you have to order half this shit online now and unless you pre order within 5 minutes it's gone for literally ever.
The Marvel Legend movie Venom is so damned good. Do they reuse molds often? Cause I want to see some more smybiotes use this body. What's a good Eddie Anti-Venom figure?
>>8977041Actually, that particular image was drawn by Anthony Winn, one of the obscure Madureira clones that were around back then. /useless trivia.
>>8994661>Do they reuse molds often?Anon that's almost all they do
>>8994661There’s only one Legends Eddie Brock Anti-Venom, and it’s on the Hyperion buck, same as both comic Venoms. It was part of the Hobgoblin wave in 2014.As good as the mold for the Sony Venom is, I’m not sure who they can reuse it for. Seems kinda unlikely they’d use it for a comic character but it’s happened before (MCU Killmonger -> comic Winter Soldier)
