Not a lot of news since the last thread, so this seems like a fine time to talk about how much the old stuff actually kinda rules until something new comes out. Last thread >>8888828
>>8940825Wish I had kept a lot of my mcfarlane figures. the combiner robot set was the last of the mcfarlane line i bought until the recent 40k. Good news is I do not have to dust that monster with spikes wires and other details.
>>8941322>the combiner robot setFucking hate those. I bought one of them, and it was a loosey-goosey piece of shit. One of the worst things I ever bought from McFarlane.
ordered him today. what do you guys think of this figure.
>>8941381I really hate the jokerized bullshit but he seems great just judging from how other people talk about him.
>>8941381>>8941387Agreed. It's very fun, but also the last evil superman toy I'll ever need to buy. It kind of drives home how much some expressive heads/hands can do for an action figure. I just wish they'd get around to using that body on a superman I actually want.
>>8941431they used it for bizarro and he's also very fun. feels like it moves a little better/more smoothly too
>>8941328>>8941328>One of the worst things I ever bought from McFarlane.Yeah that is why it was the last. Should have just kept the Akira bike at least.
>>8941381Great from the neck down. Don't like how powdery his "make-up" is though.
>>8941431I mean he was never really evil in the comics in that state. Batman gave him some shit that kept him in control before he got Joker'd. And then they turn him back to normal before he went nuts.
>>8941381There was a leg kvetching session, so I tried to push em. Looks like Im stressing the diaper at this point.
>>8941774it's made that way so you can move them that far. i push them as far as i possibly can on every new mcfarlane figure i get
>>8941774>>8941789off topic, but how's that rorschach figure?
>>8941814This line has horribly loose joints; but its otherwise solid. I sliced up his coat for hand in the pocket action, and better leg range. hat comes off, and his gloveless hands are black. Best hobo hero I have.
>>8941814His in a two-pack with an OC figure that goes for 50-60+ so idk if it's worth it, I never see him loose and alone.
>>8941381Will McFarlane ever make other Batman villains besides the fucking Joker? I would kill for Riddler figure.
>>8941387>>8941431>>8941643>>8941774>>8942102It arrived and its pretty good. Probably my second favorite mcfarlane figure, behind mk11 spawn. Only issues are the hands kind of want to pop off when you bend the wrist and the stress on the diaper when you do something crazy with his legs. Surprising that this is a 25 dollar figure.
>>8942102We got Scarescrow and Bane but heavily stylised versions from a specific AU.We're getting two Batman Beyond villains at least. But yeah the line is missing a lot of stables on both and hero and villain side.
>>8944291>But yeah the line is missing a lot of stables on both and hero and villain side.the line hasn't even existed for a year and. a half yet
>>8944295Yet we've managed to get plenty of Batmen
I stopped collecting because of the old McFarlane figures.I have full lines of so many of the non-Spawn McFarlane toys still boxed away. I loved the paint and details and the concepts were really good, but a bit too edgy. But I expected that. They were also the only makers of high-quality horror toys. Or so I thought...I have all the Alien and Predator toys and thought my collection was awesome until I saw my first NECA Alien. Then I realised how bad the McFarlane ones were. Literally semi-articulated statues. Even the details on the NECA were more accurate by far.One thing that always annoyed me was the lack of meaningful articulation and the set poses. When I realised that you didn't have to make figures with high details that were basically statues. Then my NECA Alien broke without any effort from me and I stopped collecting altogether.I didn't start collecting again until I found the 1000Toys Synthetic Human and suddenly toys were awesome again! Now I won't touch McFarlane, and I have no idea what to do with the ones I don't want anymore. Seriously considering just throwing them out.
>>8944295I know I know, don't need to start that whole thing, I'm just saying that right now we haven't got the stables but I'm sure they'll come eventually.
>>8944408Why not try your hand at custom articulation?
>>8944452A few reasons, lack of time being the biggest one. I'm very soured on the figures now because it's been so long, I think the Tortured Souls and maybe the Twisted Land of Oz wizard are the only ones I'm likely to keep. But also, the plastic is a bit shit and has only gotten worse with age. It wouldn't be fun. The pre-poses also include weird limb shapes, twisted torsos and different length limbs in some cases, just to fit the pose. Some of them have accessories moulded onto the body as part of the sculpt. It really wouldn't be any fun with most of them.
Impulse bought the Hellbat Suit and dang, I am so glad I did!! Absolutely awesome looking figure. The paint detail is so clean, the sculpt is super rad, and the sheer amount of plastic you get for the price is amazing. I love how they did the wings! The way they fold is neat and I love how they simply plug into hexagonal pegholes on his back. That gives give you multiple posing options while making it easy to have the wings posed symmetrically, and prevents you from knocking a wing out of position. Also easy to pose Bats without the wings since they just plug in. Such a simple but effective way of handling them.My only gripes would be the limited range of motion for the head and the outward hip joints are a bit loose on my figure. Minor issues that are easily outweighed by how nice everything else about the figure is. Can't recommend it enough!
>>8944408>Then my NECA Alien broke without any effort from meI sincerely doubt that.
>>8944996Branon! Would you have hellbat and spacemarines murdering a stuffed animal? I bet thatd look rad.
Man I just want mcFartboy to make a Lobo so I can replace this tiny one and be done with my DC display
>>8944346What's Spawn doing here? Is he trying to stop the fighting?
>>8945203Just get the Storm Collectibles one. Todd is not pleased you were mean to him and doesn't want you to buy his figures.
>>8945219>Storm CollectiblesWould be too out of scale if you look at what I have.I do respect Todd as an artist if not a toy decision maker. Fuck him for making everything 7' but it may work for Lobo. I'd like to see which version of Lobo he wants to make if he does before buying one.
>>8945247>Would be too out of scale if you look at what I have.I assume you mean aside from Joker, Robin, and Slade.
>>8945257>>8945257Joker could be taller. Slade and Robin are fine because it's the Teen Titans art style. But a Storm Lobo would be giant. He is thick but he is supposed to be human size. Not looking for 100% accuracy which is why I'm thinking a McFarlane size would be alright enough
>>8945247>too out of scale if you look at what I havei thought Lobo is taller than supes
>>8945208He doesnt even know anymore
>>8945345Nah, Lobo and Joker are manlets, everybody know it.
>>8944996>My only gripes would be the limited range of motion for the headIf you don't mind the gap, you can pop it off and take the little spacer out from the neck. He gets pretty good range then.
>>8945345It feels that way because of all the other typical big villains in DC. But Lobo is actually regular size
>>8946238Check out that negative zone!
>>8946238I assume that isn't actually yours but that is some collection. Not too interested in that Batman, but it reminds me of Carman. 2008 Secret Six would be a pretty cool crew to get.
>>8946256It's his. Google doesn't come up with anything.
DOOMGUY 2.0 WHEN>inb4 gamers dont buy toysFUCK OFF FAGGOT
>>8946481don't even give him attention, that's what he wants
>>8944999Yep, I had it in a standing pose and didn't touch it for months. Then the pose started to fail and it was because the knee joint had gone loose. I re-posed it using the base provided so it would rely on the other knee instead and the ankle snapped under the pressure. Just like my McFarlane Predator 2 figure. Also, why would I make that up?
Sure would like a classic style Spawn without a sexy torso twist. I do like my MK 11 Spawn though so at least we have that.
>>8946238Imagine hoarding cheap toys and then displaying them as if they were art.
>>8947261Imagine policing what other people do with their shit.
>>8947264Stop enjoying things I don't like in a way I do not like! Why did I come into this thread?
>>8947264>Posts embarrassing shit on a public forumNobody said you aren't allowed to do it, but that doesn't mean you can't be made fun of.
>>8947408I'm not even the one who posted the pic. First off, I wouldn't buy DC stuff to begin with, second, regardless, I wouldn't leave them in the package, but who cares what other people do?
>>8947414Why do you care that people comment?Isn't that the reason that people post pics of thier shit? If you want forced positivity go to r/actionfigures
>>8947778>Why do you care that people comment?answer their question, dickface
>>8947414Is laughing at... caring?
>>8946481I think that anon is just really bad at video games and wants to take it out on us.
>>8947414>who cares what other people do?Not him, but this is a ridiculous question to ask.By posting on any social media, this includes 4chan, you're entering an open discussion and because of that, anyone is open to comment on whatever is posted. This is an incredibly human thing to do and only an autist would question that, because you're mentally ill because your brain don't function so good.In short, fuck off if you don't like other people expressing their opinions, no matter how retarded their opinion may be.
>>8946481Not soon enough, anon. Jesus, the first one was bad.
>>8948120I'd rather have the classic outfit with the plasma rifle. 2015 version would be cool, too. Also, DEMONS.
>>8948235>Also, DEMONS.They would be right up Todd's alley. For now they are only sitting in his ass along a decent Medieval Spawn...
Imagine if they didn't put out 40 batmen and put out actually good characters. Holy shit.

I have and really like Man of Miracles. If that exact sculpt was turned into a fully articulated figure, thatd be pretty awesome.
McFarlane Toys are seriously the only ones making Batman Death Metal stuff? Is there anywhere I can order the Groblins and the Robin King without spending an arm and a leg?
>>8949912In terms of action figures, yes. Groblins are an earlier BAF wave, so they're getting a bit hard to find. Robin King is in an upcoming wave that hasn't quite got here yet, so should be easy to get soon.
>>8941381Good Figure, i really like it
Is the Warhammer line a success or not? I know they go for almost double the price on the aftermarket, but I'm not sure if that's enough to determine how well a line is doing.
>>8949972I'd think it's safe to say Warhammer is one of their currently strongest lines, right up there with DC and MK. MHA and Witcher probably somewhere after those. Everything else seems to mostly be one-offs rather than continuous lines. I'm probably forgetting some, but basically Warhammer seems like one of their top lines at this point.
>>8949992i doubt Warhammer is one of their top lines, considering how little they've released so far and how much is just redecos. If they start to give it a larger budget, i'll believe it then. Also, i hope McFarlane re-releases the (g)Roblins or do a pack of them. They were hard to get and preorder, so i never got a chance.
>>8950012The line isn't even a year old, and outside of APs for each release there's been no straight repaints besides the variant Sister. It's also one of the lines we know is getting more releases, which outside of DC (obviously), MK, and Witcher, we don't know anything besides new IPs, like Disney Mirrorverse and Avatar. Even MHA, which has gotten quite a few releases, doesn't have anything leaked outside of releases aimed at kids.
>>8949992>>8950012Normalfags seem to love it.
Welp, I picked up Damian to keep Dick company on my shelf, only to find his right wrist's snap joint is partially melted so that the wrist pieces don't stay together. How is Mcfarlane about replacement parts?
>>8952461I've no idea, but they probably have an email. I know Mattel sends you some money, Hasbro sends whatever they have on hand (I got a cheap Iron Man mask once...), MCX actually sends you exactly what you asked for. Worse to worse you could just do an exchange, but give McFarlane a try, I'd be curious what they say.
I really like this figure, so much I want to give it a paintjob it deserves.
>>8953541Todd Goro when?
>>8953541Huh, had no idea his armor could come off. Might be worth grabbing a variant, especially if they come with the spear, like that 2 pack version.
>>8953541Jesus, what are they even thinking with that ugly ass torso joint? Could they have made it even MORE jagged?
>>8953704in all fairness to todd, Shao Kahn's ribcage area is pretty jagged and weird
>>8953541I've heard the articulation is rough, is that true?
>>8953889His torso barely works and his legs don't go very far forward. His right bicep takes a lot of effort to free and doesn't get much range anyway.
>>8953889Torso needs more range, but can be done with a knife. Other then that it takes some doing but the range is there everywhere else, if you work it you can get the legs out 90° silly pose showing some range
>>8953923>With a knifeLmao, wtf is mcfarlane doing?>Those unpainted feetOOF
>>8953925Waaaah why is my $20 toy not full of paint. That's you. Kindly heckin neck
>>8953937>B-b-but $20Still looks like crap and has bad articulation, lol.
>>8953943Reeeee pickle reeee toy good, you bad man with tiny been
>>8953933make me, retodd
>>8953923>>8953896Thanks. Still considering him.
So I missed the boat on the normal colored Sub Zero and Scorpion from MK11, what are the chances of a reissue? Or am I completely fucked?
>>8952519>>8952461Mcfarlane customer service replied that they don't offer replacement parts for the majority of their action figures, including DC Multiverse, and, since they don't have a Damian lying around the office, I'll uave to find another way to get a replacement.
>>8955429Ya, I guess they don't have warehouses sitting around. Is he rare around you? Shouldn't be a tough exchange. Even easier if you ordered online.
>>8946481>>8948235>>8948238this recent announcement should give you a hintif the mortal kombat line is getting two repaints just because of the movie and doom is not getting anything despite two consecutive dlcs.....it's over.
>>8955908Mortal Kombat has clearly been a good seller for them, it's gotten more variants and repaints than any other line they're producing, including DC. I don't think MK getting repaints is indicative of anything for Doom. There hasn't been any news on the doom front since that bronze Marauder though.
>>8955908Still amazing how no one makes a decent Doomguy figure. I barely played Doom since the 00's still I would pay a good price for a good figure. At this point I accept a shit paintjob, I just want decent articulation and a figure that don't fall apart.
>>8955516He's the only one I've seen at any of the numerous stores that carry DCM here, just like Nightwing and Superman #1000. Everything else is just Metal stuff. Guess I'll order one on Amazon and return the broken one.
>>8955908why are the repaint colors so ugly?
>>8956241Time to harass Todd on social media. But PEACEFUL HARASSMENT.
>>8955429that sucksremember the good old days when you can buy each accessory separately. that's how I got my movie spawn diorama set and Simpsons car
>>8949962does it feels light to you too?
>>8946238do you have the gold joker?you seem like the type who has it
>>8956590Anon there is nothing more agressive than offering money to a big company in exchange for plastic figurines. I bet Todd feels molested.
Has Todd done a Raiden in a proper white/blue outfit yet? Not huge on the color scheme for the one I've seen so far.
>>8959100he hasn't done any of the "classic" costumes from mk11 so no. So far we've only got variants of his default mk11 skin, and they've all been pretty ugly as far as the color schemes are concerned.
Don't believe retards who have never handled this thing. I finally found one tonight and maybe it was the posts downplaying it, but it has way more range than I expected. He's not gonna suck his own dick but the forward torso range is on par with just about any other $20 figure out there.
>>8953896>His torso barely works and his legs don't go very far forwardLike this is weird to say since I assume you're >>8953541and actually own it. It's not incredible range or anything, but clearly the torso works and his legs go almost 90°
>>8959375The hammer absolutely sucks and bends under its own weight. It's painted decently enough, but the figure itself definitely lacks in the paint department. Over all it's a solid purchase. Many worse ways to spend $20.
Is Todd senile when it comes to toys as well?
>>8959388This is cool and all, but it doesn't change the fact the skin looks like Play-dough
>>8959344How did you get his torso and legs to go that far because my torso barely moves past the browner skin with extreme force and his legs go nowhere near 90. I want more range so if you cut it tell me where to cut or what you did.
>>8959612No mods, didn't even heat it up. maybe you just need to hit yours with a blowdryer though? It'll definitely help.
Question, if Spawn became popular and relevant again (not counting guest appearances) what are the odds Todd would do reissues of the original toys?
>>8959344>>8959375>>8959388I already ordered him, but thanks for posting these. I feel even more confident in getting the figure.
>>8959640next to 0. At best you'll get a "remastered" version like the kickstarter spawn.
>>8959640You'll get a remake. They remade Mandarin Spawn. We're getting new Gunslinger Spawn, Redeemer, Raven Spawn, Clown and Violator.
>>8959662I remember redeemer way buffer
>>8959802You're thinking of the original one with the glowing sword arm. The Redeemer with the wings was always pretty lanky.
>>8959662While I'm pleased about Gunslinger I sure wish it was the sword arm Redeemer instead of wing boi. Also still hoping for a classic Spawn without a sexy torso twist.
>>8944996the hip thing is common with this figure desu
>>8959122Yeah, I haven't liked any that I've seen as far as Raiden goes. I'm sure they'll stick a decent one in a two pack with a character I don't want.Saw that gold label Spawn today, if anyone was into that. Looks kinda alright in person but since I'm not huge on Spawn I passed.
Just ordered Baraka. How is he guys?
>>8959662Gunslinger looks nice and all, but when is Todd going to get to Erron Black?
Has anyone figured out where you can pre-order the bloody variant of noob, or is it another one of those stupid chase variants?
>>8960073Ah, I see.
>>8961800According to McFarlane.com's entry for that Noob, they list him as available at Gamestop. It's not there now, so maybe it's currently pre sold out. >>8961788The remaining characters not done from the base roster are Sonya, Cassie, Jax, Jacqui, Jade, Skarlet, Erron, D'vorah, Kotal, Geras, Kollector, and Cetrion. Then in DLC there's Frost, Shang, Nightwolf, Sindel, Joker, Terminator (probably can't do him), Fujin, Sheeva, Robocop (probably can't do him either), Mileena, Rain, and Rambo (probably can't do him). So a fair few, but Todd (assuming he does have a say in which characters get made) seems to like the cowboy aesthetic based on how how much potential he sees in Gunslinger, so I wouldn't be surprised if Erron gets made before too much longer.
To the people who actually do read Spawn, are there are any actual new characters and designs who you think are Knoe worthy?
>>8962002Monolith is pretty cool. Omega Spawn is a bit much, but he'd probably make a cool figure.
>>8961539Pretty good, I like mine.
>>8959662the scupts are so bland
>>8961539I like it. Just don't ham hands his legs like I did. Tried to articulate his legs back only for it to pop off. It's extremely difficult to put it back on. I do love his aesthetic however.
>>8941381>evil supermanmeh...though the toy itself looks fine for what it is
>>8962188Those are 3D prints, so I'll assume they'll look a bit better when they're production. Gunslinger in particular looks quite smooth, but not everyone will want 'greebles' or additional details all over the sculpts (especially on Spawn 'skin'), some folks like them clean. There's a place for both, I'd think.
>>8961943My dream list for unreleased MK characters is Erron, Kotal, and Nightwolf.Hopefully the line will continue to do good enough that he actually manages to do them (which see.
>>8962682I'd buy a McF Erron.
>>8949584Recently re read my miracleman collection, i think my brain kinda melted.
>>8962042Looks like a crappy Venom re-skin.
>>8962774Doesn't really look anything like Venom other than being buff, and I guess the marks on his eyes that Venom sometimes has. Must as well say he looks like a big orange Spawn.
>>8962774isn't the haunt a mcfar creation and isn't it familiar? if you break down todd's initial sketch of spawn it is just a mash up of his previous works just like the haunt. monolith is just another mash up of todd's previous works
>>8962929Sorry Cole, you ain't it (you silly overpowered OC you). If we get any, probably just Scorpion and Sub-Zero, and depending on how they do, maybe some more.
>>8962929Not that I'm against having that character being made. However, if he ever gets announced, I expect MK fans to just explode against McFarlane over not creating the rest of the characters of the game before focusing on the movie OC.They're already upset over the two-pack that was announced recently, that type of announcement would just send them over the top.
>>8962929Was there like a story reason that they had to make Cole the most boring bland fucking character in existence? Also, if I'm buying anyone from that movie, it'll be Kabal.
>>8962682>Erron, Kotal, and Nightwolf.Cowboys and indiansI'm down.
>>8962929I'll take a sub zero and scorpion. Everyone else is meh. Maybe Natara purely on design.>>8962987He's the cliche "everyman" who the other characters explain the plot to so the audience can follow along.
>>8963176>He's the cliche "everyman"But then he's also a descendant of Hanzo (who's unusually important as well, relating to some prophecy, which might be explained if there are ever prequels) which automatically makes him important, and also has a really strong all purpose power (armor that absorbs physical damage that he can then redirect, a tonfa, and a bladed tonfa). Almost like literal plot armor. It was a bit much, plus the bland portrayal didn't do him any favors.
>>8962929The best I can do.
>>8962929His mystical super power was literal plot armor.

>>8964487McFarlane Toys isn't as niche as it used to be, they have bigger licenses that make a hell of a lot more money than what they used to make, so this is the direction they're going in. Todd has expressed interest in doing at least one more Movie Maniacs and/or Dragons figure, probably via Kickstarter or some other means to release the figure like that, so he's at least not forgotten the niche side of things entirely.
>>8964479Yeah, figure that's what I'll probably end up doing since it's impossible to know what DC figures I'll find in the wild.
>>8964487Market changedTodd needs to keep up with the times in order to stay afloatHe doesn't release as many Spawn toys as he used to do and judging by his movie that's going nowhere he doesn't know how to revive the character back in public consciousness and is currently thinking that a "Spawn universe" and throwing in more ongoings people aren't gonna read is gonna be enough Todd's most successful toys in recent years have been FNAF figures and Sharky Shark
>>8964487McFarlane went the same path as Hot Topic
>>8964487>What happened? What the other anons said. But, like I said here >>8944486 I have a lot of old McFarlane and a few of the horror ones are all I'm likely to keep. BUT, if Todd does decide to release more Tortured Souls then I'll be all over that.He mentioned during an interview before the Spawn Kickstarter that he wanted to release more movie maniacs and a couple more Tortured Souls. It would be awesome if he could collab with Clive Barker again.
>>8963260Why does he look Mexican?
Not my whole Spawn collection, but wanted to see what people thought of this little collection of figures. I had to pack all my figures up due to moving soon, this was the last bunch being displayed. Also, I've asked plenty of times, does anyone know an ETA for Gold Label Spawn (canada)? Thanks!

>>8969594>saw Spawn in theatresI'm a little jealous to say the least. I got myself into Spawn through the animated HBO show when it first released. I was only 9 at the time, so I wasn't even aware there was a movie until after it was finished in the theatres. Am I fucked for getting into the MK line too late? I had to pay $26 for Kitana, which isn't too high above MSRP, but it looks like I'm fucked for basic Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Are there any recommended recolors, or should I wait for Todd to make classic costumes? I've never played MK11 anyway, so I'm not exactly upset at regular Sub-Zero being $100, but I also don't know if the other colors are actually from the game or just bullshit Todd made up.
>>8974206all the recolors are from the game. Don't feel too bad about missing sub and scorp though, they're like the worst figures in the line.
>>8974223What the fuck is Todd's problem, then? Fucking up two of the biggest characters in the franchise.Should I bother trying to hunt down a Johnny, or is he a bad figure as well? I wouldn't be opposed to just having Kitana, Baraka, and Noob, but I'd prefer to have more because I like the franchise overall, even if I haven't played the latest game. And it might be cool to do like an MK vs DC display eventually.
Does anyone here know the
>>8974259the main problem with sub-zero and scorpion is pretty much that their clothing is done in such a way that it makes their articulation basically useless. Johnny's one of the better figures in the line since he doesn't have that problem.
>>8974273Todd has been making toys for thirty years and still can't make clothing properly? But I guess he also makes dogshit wings on Batman Beyond and immobile capes on Spawn and Supes and so on, so it makes sense. I'm probably spoiled going from DBZ Figuarts to $20 American toys. That said, I'll track down a Johnny. Thanks for the tips.
>>8974259>>8974293Just in case it isn't clear, think of Todd as the publisher, and his sculptors as the developer. Being the face and name of the company makes it easy to say "Todd", but it sounds odd when he doesn't really have a hand in this, and hired people to get these things done. He's supposed to be the final check, but given his greater care for aesthetics over articulation, if they "look good enough" that's probably good enough, as opposed to do they function right. Maybe he should get someone to help him with that. I guess if that's actually how it works then he can be blamed, much like a publisher who lets a buggy game see release, or producer that releases an obviously bad movie. And besides, "making toys for 30 years" so there's clearly been some turnaround, and the toys haven't been super articulated for nearly 28 of those years (in fact nearly statues, so clothing wouldn't need to get out of the way for articulation). Given that the first 2 figures in the series are the worst, that seems to say that things have improved overall, and if they made those 2 now I'd imagine the clothing is softer to get out of the way. Whether that happens for the reissues or not, I kind of doubt, but if new versions of them are released, probably.
Previews of the next waves of Warhammer and Witcher shown.
>>8974381That all makes sense. I'm personally most used to Spawn and Austin Powers statues from back in the day. And the Yellow Submarine figures which I think may have had some articulation but I kept them in the packages for a few years and eventually sold them. I don't have many of the new McFarlane poseable figures, but I do think they are way better than what Hasbro, Mattel, and Bandai of America have been putting out in the same price range. If anything, I'm mostly just upset his company is focusing so much on "new" stories instead of branching out more, so we're stuck with MK11 and Batkek stuff when I want classic MK and more DCAU stuff for those lines. So I guess I'm mostly shitting on Todd specifically as a symbol for his entire company not conforming to my wishes, which I openly admit is a bit juvenile. That said, I'm somewhat surprised they did a statue of Deku. Seems like a weird decision when people could buy prize figures for half the price. Or, it seems weird because McFarlane doesn't seem to be planning 12" statues of their other lines.
>>8973745>mcf spider-man with a venom alt skinWith super natural components to it. See? This is what I was talking about.
>>8974396>>8974396Ciri looks promising. I'll await for proper promo pics
>>8974396Is anyone actually buying Witcher garbage? They're so bad looking. And Dune is still pegwarming at Target.
>>8974562Yep, line's pretty fun so far. Not interested in variants though, so just Ciri from this next series for me.

>>8974730Right, but he has said in interviews that he does do this, so he has at least some final say in this process, no matter how small or how big.

These are never happening, right? Ive wanted good Fallout figs since I was 12 and unironically mcfarlane was my first choice after how great the Halo 3 toys were. Hope these are coming someday
>>8974396Id get Geralt since thats the armor I used all game but I cant quite put my finger on why it looks so wrong. Same thing with the original release. It just doesnt look like geralt
>>8974396Thats not what the wolf armor looks like, though.
>>8974649>>8974657I don't think they will ever do it. Most of the figures we getting are either directly in the ninth edition or iterations of them.
>>8975246>>8975249B-but 20 bucks!!!!
>>8974396It does appear to be a slightly dyed version of the Legendary Manticore armor. I do wonder if they got the wrongly named assets from the Wticher devs or something, because I believe these are made using the 3D models from the game.
>>8969634The original Spawn figure on the right is the best one for me till this day, same to the Medieval Spawn from the same line. I really want McFarlane to do a new version of these with new articulation, but nothing fancy. The MK11 Spawn is the best I got for now.
>>8969634>>8975706>tfw you forgot this beast existsNow I only wish a new one and a Medieval Spawn done in the same fashion
>>8970519>see this post>go to my own Target>five Jokers>five Arkham Bats>one of the brown suit Bats>one Saint Seiya Gold Cloth Gal GadotThey also seem to have gotten rid of all four Mandarin Spawns they had last week, replacing them with a couple Geralts and the Wild Hunt guy. Pretty boring selection overall. My Target sucks for toys, but I do think it's getting hit by scalpers.
>>8974396When are they going to release Cavil's Geralt? That's the one I actually want.
>>8975240I wouldn't mind a bulky fallout 4 power armor figure, considering how the 40k marines came out.
>>8975795Probably around whenever Witcher Season 2 shows up. For those who haven't seen the teaser...
>>8975711This was the best Spawn. Still have him and love him.Deluxe Movie one was great, too.
>>8975795>wanting Cavill's GeraltInteresting.
>>8976015Is it interesting? Or just gay?
>>8976035Both. I didn't know people cared for the show at all, unless anon just likes Cavill specifically.
Give me Sheeva since I doubt I'd get an SC one if they made her. I just want to see them test out 4 arms and only somewhat want the character kek.
>>8976181It's getting a season 2, so some people definitely care about it. And it looks like we're getting Roach, so if nothing else that's also a 7" scale horse figure.
>>8976272I think Netflix just shits money into whatever they feel like. I don't watch many of their series, but it looks like everything got multiple seasons except like Iron Fist, which was too shitty even for MCU fans. A second Witcher season doesn't necessarily mean it was well-received. That said, I haven't seen it at all, so I'm mostly basing my assumptions on /tv/ shitposting.
>>8976364Not that anon but I dont get the hate, its a fun shlock fantasy series with some attractive actors and cool fights, its entertaining. Ive only played The Witcher 3 and I got into that after watching the show, so Im not a fan of the games, although I did end up really liking it
>>8976364Iron Fist got a second season too so your point stands, Netflix just shits money into whatever they feel like. Ironically, Iron Fist season 2 did better and was even ready for a third season, but by that time, ALL MCU shows got cancelled, mainly due to conflicting interest with Disney Plus coming into play.
>>8976451Huh, I thought there was only one season. I guess I'm thinking of another MCU show?>>8976444I've only played half of TW3 and I read the first short story collection, so I'm probably not the best judge. I think I was mostly put off by the Netflix show having like zero semblance of Slavic culture, but I'm also a dork who played TW3 in Polish audio.
>>8976015Yes, I liked the way cavil played Gerald, and honestly, I liked his version better than the game’s, sue me.To be fair, he was the only good thing about that series.
>>8976499It's just sharp Venom
>>8976878The thing is, if you break things down this way, how many superhero characters, or even characters in general, are essentially just the same as others? Everyone strong that can fly with a cape is Superman, lanky wise cracking characters are Spider-Man, dark brooding characters are Batman. You're talking surface level, and ya, he looks (even more) like Anti-Venom, but he also acts nothing like him from what we've seen.
>>8976832Game Geralt is more bland and has less personality to help the player project into him.
>>8974396lmao is she taller than him?
>>8975836Wonder if this head'll be better than his Supes headAlready looking mildly more like Henry than the Supes just from the lower half there alone
>>8976938They pasted two solicitation pictures together, they don't depict the scale between them, just the scale of the pictures.
>>8976497Imao I thought I was the only one who did that. Im in a very small minority but I thought the voice acting in witcher was really bad, and I usually play subtitled games anyway so playing it in polish made more sense. Polish Geralt sounds infinitely better, he sounds like an old vagrant
>>8976934Game Geralt ends up being a lot more superheroic to fall in line with being a traditional RPG hero. You can play him pretty mean still, but you cant make him quite a true bastard like Geralt is normallyAlso youll always be rich which goes against geralt
>>8977296I played for hours thinking Polish was the original language because of the studio, only for someone on /v/ to tell me it was either initially recorded in English or all languages were recorded roughly simultaneously, I don't remember. I thought I was being true to the developers' artistic intent, which is the reason I always watch subbed anime for example. But I also generally find English voice actors to be terrible across the board, so I avoid them when I can. I don't know enough Polish to be able to tell if the actors are bad, but I know enough English to tell the English actors are shitty.
>>8975711With modern engineering you could easily update this to something absolutely fantastic, with collapsible wings and a highly-poseable body.Just, maybe if it was made by another company. But the aesthetic is great.
How tall are the Groblins? The description says they are 7 in scale, but does that mean they are scaled to be proportionate in comparison to a Batman, or does it mean that they are 7 in themselves? I'm too used to shit like Bandai of America making Dragon Stars Krillin and Legacy Collection 2017 Alpha-5 as tall as Goku and Rangers respectively.
>>8978925they're short. maybe not quite short enough, but far from seven inches

>>8979906What is this
>>8979930Modified kickstarter spawn.
>>8979906gorgeous>>8979932>Modified kickstarter spawn.Aka what everyone really wanted
>>8979483Okay, good. Thanks. One popped up on BBTS so I grabbed it just because they're overpriced elsewhere. I kind of hate the Batkek shit, but when I grabbed the Groblin I realized the edgelord designs make sense coming from the Venom and Spawn creator's toy company.
hows this spawn mandarin figure? which one is better, the pic or that blue walmart one.
>>8981572Gold, for sure. And he's not perfect, but he's a damn striking toy, especially at retail. The articulation is about the standard modern McFarlane, the skirt hinders him a little, but you can get him in some cool poses.
And I like him a lot, personally. All his little joint hinges have faces.
>>8981572Pretty good, has some minor hindrances like most Mcfarlanes. But at retail you shouldnt be disappointed. I like the Blue over the Red/Gold, i like the skirt design a bit more. It's up to personal taste though.
Are the Dune figures any good
>>8985743i liked the one i bought. Standard modern McFarlane articulation. Nothing to really complain about if you like how they look.
>>8985775>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, MY BACK!!!!
Is the Devastator in the Superman 2-pack the same as the standalone release? Pics make them look very similar, except the 2-pack promo pics make him look like an immovable statue.
>>8987142the same thing, the only differences are the paint and eyes, the 2pack version comes with a glossy finish on the chest and more red details on the eyes
>>8987151Thanks. Is the Supes the same Action Comics #1000 one?
>>8987222Same body, but the head is different.
Should Todd have kept doing DreamWorks stuff?
>>8989592Well they're doing Disney now, so I think they'll be content on the animated front for a while. Also MHA, Avatar, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.
>>8985077I think they both have some pretty nice detailing. There are little touches I like on both, but the blue one just looks a bit too unfinished for me to like it more. If they had used a more metallic color, like silver, instead of a flat grey like they used metallic gold on the red one, I think he would have looked better. Nothing to really add detail to the chest just makes him look too unfinished to me.
>>8975240I was just coming in here to ask this, hopefully he hasn't scrapped it altogether.
>>8959662>>8959640What's the canon reason for all those different Spawns? is it situational? are there other Spawns like a Spawn Corps or something?
>>8990285Al wasn't the only person to have made deals with Malebolgia
>>8990285Different eras of Spawns, as well as different deals to become Hellspawns (what Spawn himself is, and it isn't a unique classification), etc. In terms of Spawn Corps, not exactly, but there will be a team book featuring multiple Hellspawn coming in the summer, so something like that. Redeemer will also be a part of that team's first iteration.
>>8990307but is the only one without a cool themed suit
>>8989792ATLA is Diamond Selects.

>>8990799Some Spawns look cool and distinctMandarin Spawn, Medieval Spawn, etcThen there's shit like Gunslinger Spawn which is just normal Spawn in a cowboy costume
>>8989592Would unironically love seeing him do Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon
>>8991179ATLA you say...
>>8991167>>8991563First wave of 7" is Aang and Zuko. There will also be 5" figures, Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko. 5" deluxe pack of Aang and his glider. And a 7" creature figure (non-scaled to the figures) of Appa.
>>8991703>>8991179So literally the same shit as Diamond Selects? I get the idea of releasing the main crew first, but it would be cool to at least pop a Toph in there or something. Or even shit out Korra early on, despite her show sucking dick.
Lord almighty, uncle Todd, give me a Manga Spawn!
>>8992561When they revealed that they had the license, they announced both Aang's story and Korra's separately. Perhaps at some point we'll get Korra from her own series as the first figure from that set. It's retreading, yes, but as was said earlier, McFarlane (and most companies, honestly) start off "hot" with the A-list characters, if they do well, the start of a collection is established, and people are more likely to buy the secondary characters.
>>8962778More like the old venompool in red and buff
>>8991471Fuck you cowboys are neat
>>8975240sorry bud, in the trash with hollow knight
>>8992858Sure, but Gunslinger Spawn is just regular spawn with a trench coat and a 10 Gallon hat. He doesn't really stand out much, design-wise like a lot of others do.
>>8992897I like it that way though. Medieval is better but I think Gunslinger beats some of the weirder shit like Mandarin. I'm just a simple guy that likes simple Spawns.
>>8992858They are but its like if Spider-Man Noir was just the regular costume in a trench coat and none of the actual stuff that makes it a distinct design
Damn, Kitana is giving me some weird feelings in my undies. Do other recent McFarlane girls have such fat dumpers? Is her ass this big in game? I haven't played 11 but I know she has nice hips in previous installments. I guess the benefit of turning her Latina instead of Asian is it fattens her shitter. Gonna have to grab the red variant now, too.
>>8993426She is at her most Asian in MK11, what are you talking about?
>>8993435SE Asian, maybe.
>>8992636Can't wait for Korra to shelfwarm
>>8993468Bruh, she looks incredibly East Asian. I don't think you know enough about Asian features to be making these claims. I mean shit, you thought they made her Latina.
>>8994264I also said I never played MK11. I don't know what any character looks like except Spawn, Sindel, and now Kitana.
Whens Mcfarlane gonna do best MK newcomer?
This beast of a figure showed up today. I know everyone isn't thrilled with statues, he does have tiny bits of articulation in the and and feet, but god damn does this Spawn look amazing. I'm a fag for huge toys, and this one did not disappoint.
>>8994803*hand more of a dim light, thought it looked neat. and sorry about the flip on the other picture.
>>8994724>>>8994264>I also said I never played MK11Then why are you spouting off about things you know nothing about?
>>8994805>sexy torso twistKEKHope they have an articulated 7 inch in the works.
>>8994803>Commando SpawnShould honestly be Al's full title to differentiate himself from just Spawn given the dozens of Spawns also existing
>>8994826I recommend "Spawmando"
>>8994820>sexy torso twistWorks for me. Spawn is pretty seductive, in a weird otherworldly kind of way.>>8994826I'd be okay with this. Commando Spawn is basic compared to his other variants, yet it's still one of my favourites.
New Deluxe Mandarin Spawn was just announced and up for preorder at Gamestop. At a pretty hefty $44.99 (probably with the Gamestop markup) but it comes with quite a few weapons (a way to carry them all would have been a nice addition), and it has a lot more paint. https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collectibles/collectibles/figures/products/spawn-mandarin-spawn-deluxe-action-figure/11109098.html
>>8994803>>8994805Is...is he wearing a mask over his mask?! WTF is going on Todd? I know Covid is bad, but this is just daft.
>>8995439Thanks for Beta-testing edition
>>8995529Given that the price is around double the regular figure, has a different head and other new parts, I don't think that's how it is. One is a regular retail release with the paints to match the price-point, while this one has a much more premium deco and a higher price to match.
>>8995538It's literally the same body and whack articulation with a new head and some extra swords. It's still gonna pose like crap.
>>8995439>>8995538>>8995529Did a little comparison between the 2, for the visual differences of the figures themselves.
>>8994803I wish it was just an 8-incher like the other Spawns.Oh well. I still have the color box tops Commando Spawn from 3 years ago or so.>>8995439This looks pretty badass, but twice the price is kinda eh..
>>8995439this is cool but not $25 more cool. not really digging the head on this one either. but this gives me the motivation to buy the regular red one now since i was holding out until this was revealed. dunno how much of this is gamestop markup, but $45 isn't acceptable for something like this.
>>8995439so is this a brand new figure? doesn't look like it reuses much, if anything, from the original.
>>8997237Still reusing a fair bit. Same torso, legs, and left arm as the red Mandarin Spawn. The right arm appears to be mostly new, the skirt/tabard is new, and the head is new. The double bladed weapon and shield are also new. The additional paint really livens up the sculpt.
>>8995439>>8995545For a "deluxe," I think I would have liked to see more detail paint. It looks sorta fancy on first glance, but then you realize that the paint scheme is still pretty darn simplistic and separate molded parts are doing most of the heavy lifting. I want to see some complexity here, washes, little ornate details, drybrushing. If this is all McFarlane has to offer at a $45 price point, I'm frankly not interested. I would gladly have traded in those accessories and new head for a truly premium paintjob on par with the old McFarlane Toys.
>>8991179>>8991563Oh god...they are gonna suck
>>8991179ATLA just can't get good toys, huh...

>>8997511Truly. The one thing toy companies these days absolutely refuse to add is a complex paint job.
