The Galvatron repaint orgy is over, bring on the swarm of beetles and penny racers.Old thread >>8903799
>>8912061So what's next for NA? Optimus/Magnus or Shockwave? I imagine the former is going to have a lot of repaints.
>>8912076The Bumblebee/Cliffjumper two pack is directly next, then presumably Optimus and Ultra Magnus after that (based on the fact that it’s at the physical test shot stage). Following that we know about Shockwave, Devastator, and Menasor.Anything else I’m missing?
>>8912110Only the green/purple Devastator here is official (yet)
>>8912118Here’s Breakdown (I think it’s all they’ve shown of Menasor so far)
>>8912123And Shockwave (they’ve said that they’re changing the shoulders so there won’t be exposed ball joints in gun mode)
>>8912129Oh and here’s an early prototype of Scavenger (I think)
>>8912123They seem to be prioritizing their Dev over Menasor at the moment. Devastator and its repaints should be enough to fill the rest of the 2021.
And just deciding to check out mascotzone's items since Anon mentioned getting his Fuuma shipping notice from him last thread, I see that he has a couple of available PO pieces of Eris listed. $50 mark up, and $20 flat shipping (can't comment on how that would compare to PSX though).
>>8912110Every time I see that test shot, I keep thinking NA went absolutely bananas and decided to release a redeco of their Prime based on the lucky draw Crayon Convoy. I know they've really stretched for reuses, especially their translucent figs, but I don't think they'd be that crazy. Even if I would like it.
>>8912593I’m sure they wouldn’t dare, but I want pic related so badly
>>8912593I would unironically love to see a yellow and black scheme Prime. The one in that pic with the yellow/black/red looks decent, but the red ruins it.

>>8913870>>8913873I don't like the feet on this shockwave honestly, it's too obviously a toe-tilt instead of a full foot. I think the backpack is neat though, it's cool to see the actual purple backpack incorporated in to the design instead of it just behind the grey gun barrel with an optional cover.
>>8913870Like clockwork, I prefer Newage’s Shockwave to Magic Square’s. Looking forward to better photos soon.
>>8913870>toy decal Starscream
>Grey gunbarrel folds into chest>Ends up with cartoon accurrate purple backpack without partsforming>Gun LED also becomes chest LEDYup they are definitely trying to 1up Magic Square with this one.
>>8913873Wow. I love how the gun barrel shoves into his back like that.Meanwhile, Magic Square Shockwave’s backpack is held on by the tiniest (nylon, sure) hinge you ever saw

Tried to make a low quality webm. Pls insert your own CLANG CLANG CLANG sound effects.
>>8913870>>8913878If they're doing toy seekers they should give the coneheads starscreams head
Has any 3p company made a starscream/seeker that focuses on vehicle accuracy?
>>8914076Do bayformers count?
>>8914081I suppose, but I would love a modernized mp-3 starscream
>>8913870Looks like a toy-accurate Starscream (it’s already up for preorder on some sites, listed as an EX variant) and a G2 Thundercracker. I also see a black Shockwave, which is nice.
>>8914076The Newage Seekers are pretty damn clean in jet mode. Probably the closest anyone’s gotten to MP-3’s level.
>>8914145God someone should make a voyager that just copies this figure.
>>8914280I wish the V3 MP coming out took some notes off newage's seeker. I like a lot of what the MP is doing but the way of hiding the tail fins in bot mode is dumb, stuffing them into the legs like what newage did is a better idea and could be done a lot more cleanly at a larger size.
>>8914280Yes you're right I do hate legends scale and wish that there were other choices besides Legends and MP for this niche.

>>8916437The grill detail on the feet looks odd, it's like they've partially based the design off the WFC cliffjumper toy
>>8916437This really seems like a swing and a miss compared to Newage’s. It’s like they couldn’t be bothered going far enough to retool their Bumblebee and the end result looks half-assed in both modes.
>>8916469>a swing and a missYou know what's a swing and a hit?https://tieba.baidu.com/p/7294680924
>>8916531I like what NA is doing with their backpack transformation but MS Shockwave looks great, aside from the ole dead eye
>>8916531Cute, but I reckon Newage’s Shockwave is also shaping up to be the better of the two. Frankly I’m getting fed up of both companies having this dickwaving competition though, they were both in a good grooves respectively before the pissing contest began, now their releases are all over the place. Especially annoying in Newage’s case as they were previously on track to complete the entire season 1-2 cast in a somewhat logical order, now they’re doing stuff from 3, 4, the movie, whatever.

Still kind of learning all the different scales and versions, but looking to get an MP09 (or KO) so what's the best G1 style purple Galvatron to pair with him?
>>8916437Sorry MS, you lost this one handily

So is Maketoys dead or what?
>>8918539More like undead. Considering the rumours that they were made up of disgruntled designers from bigger Japanese companies, I wonder if they got too busy with legit stuff to focus on their side gig?
>>8918556Wasn't there something about how FPJ, Maketoys and Action Toys were related?
>>8918009I don't really care for either of them. MS's version is peak MS "just release something to keep up" quality and while NA at least looks like it wasn't made in an afternoon it's still a geewun insideoutformer that barely looks good from the front only.

>>8914595>>8914599I really appreciate that literally every single fucking toy that MMC is putting out, they're making ab crunches mandatory. Fucking Helex has one, girl-Tarn has one, even fucking Defensor is gonna have one. Great shit.

Well any anons picking up the Transcraft Bumblebee, I hope you like the default head. The fucking peg is wayyyyyy to weak on that thing to remove it and put the replacement on. As far as I can tell there's nothing special need to be done to remove it. It's just too tight. I tried slowly applying more and more pressure to get it to come off and even grease but nothing. I finally pushed it too far and it snapped.
>>8923113True.
>>8923117Man, I'm not even sure how to try and recover this. I guess I'll just glue it and leave it sit for a few days, and hope that will hold enough to peg the head back on.
>>8921181is he as big as their rattrap? wish it were bigga
>>8921119>that eddie gordo spin kick lower half transformationfucking sick
>>8923126You should really invest in a pin vise and some metal wire for pinning. Sometimes won't work well enough to completely replace a joint that's been snapped, but it's 1000x better than just straight glue.
>>8923203Still legends scale but definitely larger
>>8923258I will never not be assmad that all of these good toys are Legends scaled and will never be OSKO'd. It just hurts so much worse when the only Scorponok alternative is garbage.
>>8923258>>8923259OSKOs of these guys would be incredible. i just want them to stand next to MPs
>>8923269It's extremely frustrating seeing it time and time again where because they're so small, their engineering needs to be top notch, and can't lead to puzzle stalk bullshit. Just I have no interest in Legends because I don't want to have to rebuy an entire collection. Like imagining shit like IF's Ultra Magnus but leader sized?
>>8923231Any recommendations one what to get? I'll look into this. Thanks anon.
>>8923291If you go to any hobby store they'll have several. You don't need anything expensive, just get a cheap $20 one that comes with a few drill sizes, and then get wire width to match. It's great just to have for general fixes for your toys as well.
>>8923297Thanks anon. Fucking huge bummer on this bumblebee. I was just going to get one of those DLX figs but I wanted him to transform. I was going to try and see if I could contact the transcraft guys somehow and get a replacement head piece, but I don't see shit about them online.
>>8923307Contact the store that sold it to you, TFS, BBTS, SZ, all generally have good customer service and will get you replacement parts, especially in cases where the breakage was due to you trying to swap heads as the makers intended.
>>8923312Yeah I hit up the ebay seller I got it through, so hopefully the can get me a replacement. For now it looks like the glue held enough to get the other head on but now i'm terrified to move it lol Thanks again.
>>8923258I still don't understand the red-orange tits on BA, makes it look like a KO or an unfinished prototype.
>>8923203he should fit perfectly well into chug as a deluxe, and not be too out of place alongside MPs. people don't really realize it but BW scorp is actually a small character.
>>8923288It’d be shit because it’d take up an entire detolf to itself and probably be wildly unstable. Embrace the smol, old man.
I wanna see Newage tackle Skyfire. People call him ugly/derpy/etc but I think he’s charming. One of the advantages of legends scale to me is that you can collect larger characters without filling so much space.
>>8923687F*nsToys managed to make him look good.
>>8923576for things to work perfectly (and i would prefer that they do), generations rattrap, rhinox, and waspinator are a head too small. scorp would need to be as tall as MP cheetor.
>>8923687>People call him ugly/derpy/etcThe only time I've ever seen people calling him that was with that one 3p figure that made him a headmaster with that potato face. Otherwise, people tend to like his design. The only argument I could see for people calling him that is line art like that where he has a giant head, a thick upper body, and skinny legs but most designs I've seen of him give him better proportions.
>>8921181Preordered him. Not a huge fan of the character but he looks decent and isn't very expensive. I've still got the Hasbro one on preorder but this might be nice too

>>8924804i'm ready for 'em
>>8924682I thought they said they were gonna change the design on the underside of his upper arm so it didn't look so ugly in gun mode? Did I mistakenly imagine them saying that, or did they just no go through with it?
Gotta say I prefer MS this time around. Looks a whole lot cleaner.
>>8925023I’m with you, I don’t see a difference in the new photos. Newage says “compare carefully” but they look the same to me. Not a big deal to me, but weird messaging.
>>8925101Like their Soundwaves I think they're about even, you can really go either way. Personally I think the toe tilt on Newage's version looks weird though.
>>8925170They redesigned it into a two-part assembly so the inner shoulder isn’t hollow any more. I think that’s good enough.
>>8925101Really? Cause I think MS looks like crap. Like, the legs are completely wrong. They're just lazy ass rectangles with literally almost no curves or shaping whatsoever, with a giant lip on the backs of them. And Newages backpack has way better engineering, it has no parts forming and can light up the chest too. Do we know what NS light piping is going to be like under normal conditions? Because we already know MS's is crap, so it wont be hard for NA to beat them out there. Aside from the holes in his thighs and upper arms,The only ground I'll concede is the unsightly gaps in the upper arms in NAs version.
>>8925248Just don't like the exposed mushroom peg inside the thighs nor the holes on the shoulders and forearms. The hole are probably there for transformation, but damn if they don't look ugly. Feel like NA could have done a better job.
>>8925023They actually did modify it a bit, but not to cover the ball cup or mushroom peg. They filled in this little hollow part here.
>>8925385oh look at that they did too, I barely noticed. Only to then replace it with an equally as gaudy seam-line. Man why'd they even bother if that's the best they could do?
>>8925270>The hole are probably there for transformatioThey're to limit stress from the ball joints since the ball has to always be slightly bigger than the opening of the cup. That little hole gives the plastic extra room to flex when you insert it to decrease the risk of it breaking. Most ball joint systems will have those holes and sometimes mushroom pegs will too.
>>8924679Why is each foot a different shape ?
>>8925401They aren't. They both appear totally flat from the outside but have the angled slope in the inside. Take a look at >>8924672 to see what I mean. Also >>8924663 shows the outside of the other foot to show it's also flat on that side.
>>8925401>>8925412To further illustrate, look at pic related
>>8925503Can only it's some sort of compromise due to transformation?
Whatever opinions one might have in regards to light piping, at least NA knows what's needed to make it work properly.
>>8924679So I guess that translucent piece in the middle is an adapter for the stand? I can't quite figure out what else it might be.
>>8925776Yes dude. You can literally see it holding up the gun mode in the picture below the one you replied to.

>>8926075The missing bumper part? Honestly looking at it itseems like such a simple detail part I would personally just like whittle a popsicle stick into the right shape and just glue it on next to it. Just stick anything on there to cover the hole.
>>8926153beb on further inspection I see the light's gone too. Still you could probably just make some kind of decent replacement out of like resin or putty or something.

>>8926564
>>8926570I don’t care much about accessories, but I will say it would have been nice if NA at least included an optional left hand to replace the cannon. I’ll trade that for the gun mode stand though.
>>8926577Also based on that pic it looks like NA’s hose can be removed (not sure if the one shown with the accessories is the main one or a shorter version). I don’t totally mind the hose but I like the option to go without.(Not sure if MS can do this too, I’m just going off these pics)
>>8926557>>8926561>>8926564>>8926570>>8926577>>8926588MS looks like they're pulling a similar move to their Prime mold and aping a lot of engineering from the official MP. The gun barrel to backpack transformation looks like it's almost the same thing and the legs kinda do too. I'm not saying that's bad because really, I didn't think there was anything wrong with the Takara transformation, but it does add points in NA's favor for at least being creative. I'd say it's a neutral point for MS though.

Has anyone besides HasTak done a Legends Seaspray yet? He was the one G1 Transformers toy I had as a kid and I’ve been getting a bit nostalgic over him. Is the Takara LG Seaspray good enough to settle for?
>>8928226MS did one in a 2-pack with Beachcomber, and IF has one in their next lineup phase.
>>8928253Maketoys also did a 2-pack with Powerglide, but that one was in the older, smaller scale.
>>8928174>Can’t believe these are only £50 eachOh shit they're that fucking cheap? TAKARA WINS AGAIN
>>8928253>>8928255Thanks, how does the Magic Square hold up considering it’s one of their earliest releases?
>>8928174The hybrid aesthetic coming back is great but it looks like they still haven't learned to stop coating every square centimeter in paint. Paint is important in making a premium product but you need to know when to use it. Just using it for the sake of it just jacks up the price, increases the risk of scratching, and if done poorly, makes it look worse. The bulk of the figure should always be properly colored plastics with paint reserved for details, chrome, metallic parts, and covering up translucent plastic where they have to.
>>8928331I’ll reserve judgment for November, it seems pretty obvious these pics are of hand-painted prototypes.
>>8928174>£50Woah shit what
>>8928416¥7540 on AmiAmi, which is exactly £50.09. I’m almost tempted to throw Skids on my order with Reboost just for the fuck of it. Hopefully if these sell like gangbusters, Takara will rethink the whole Sunbow autism.
>>8928422>>8928425In my view the real autism isn’t Sunbow aesthetics, but rather forcing a cartoony robot mode to turn into a realistic licensed vehicle. Pick a lane, so to speak.
>>8928294MS and future IF one are 7+cm btw because of their scaling.
At 5.6cm tall, I truly don’t mind NA Herbie’s kibble
>>8928454I like how this figure that’s smaller than my thumb is better-engineered and tighter than the official MP despite doing ostensibly the same thing.
>>8928441I’d agree with you, but Takara’s latest Bumblebee was still horrible despite turning into a penny racer. Something about the Sunbow look brings out the absolute worst in their designers.>>8928443Good to know, thanks. Guess I’ll wait for Newage.
>>8928464>Guess I’ll wait for Newage.Newage will be 5~6cm like their Bees. They have smaller scaling than MS and IF.
>>8928474My collection is mostly Newage. I might pick up the Takara LG to tide me over, I remember Seaspray being small so something like the FansToys wouldn’t really appeal to me.
>>8928174Hey digibashes are fun!But wow $50? Guess they got the memo or they're trying not to piss of the japanese car nuts because apparently that car is popular there?
>>8928479In terms of heightHasTak Legends > Newage Datsun = MS Seaspray > Newage minibots
>>8927890https://www.weibo.com/3468043824/KaFG3t9d7At least it's another item in their backlog down...
>>8928502It’s actually about $69, but that’s still a major improvement over the prices of the last few releases.
https://www.weibo.com/1794554412/KaC90icJxSome more inhand of Magic Square's
https://www.weibo.com/6001111152/KaIcdwtf5Another Artfire repaint without a Targetmaster.
>>8928517Ah right I didn't notice the pound sign.Still though, much better.I wonder of MP Raidan will be a reasonable price for since they want to piss off trainfags.
>>8928534Word is MP Raiden’s individual bots are going to be the same size as old deluxes, so it might not actually be that expensive.
>>8928533I always wonder if 3Ps would get sued if they call the Inferno-repaint as "Stepper" and Jazz-repaint "Artfire"
>>8928294Those early early MS figures aren't really quite mini-MPs so much as they're just like upmarket CHUG figures. He's pretty good for the most part but if you care a lot about articulation his elbows only bend by like 50 degrees. Dunno how easy he is to find nowadays but if you can find him for like 15$ he's a fine little purchase.
I really just want to see Newage do some firetruck bots so I can see MP Inferno's transformation copied at legends scale. After Dinobot I think Inferno was the last genuinely impressive MP design, and that was fucking years ago.
>>8928612Newage seem to be total Decepticon fanboys. Give me my trucks and Lambros already you fuckers.
>>8928539If I had access to my computer I'd post the meme version.
Are the Legends 3Ps finally going to do Skids instead of whatever this was?
>>8928174Real world person for size comparison to the toddler in a booster seat look of mp spike/holomicroman.Also, for that price, you bet I'm snagging a slot, even if the SuperSlowToyBuyers is $90us, it's hella affordable compared to MPs before.
>>8928331Takara's paint is usually pretty good though only Megatron has had chipping issues if I remember right, MP-10 is coated head to toe and my first release version is still fine a decade later, Ironhide is another one coated and he's holding up great too.
>>8928656Toddler
>>8928613Normally I am more of a Decepticon guy but after getting Newage's autobot cars I really want them to make more, they're really good at them.Hound and Hoist are my big wants for them after they get done with Optimus and Magnus.
>>8928661MP10 and Ironhide were from back when Takara actually used good paint and didn't just slather on the cheapest flakiest shit they could find. Ironhide was one of the very last ones too. You don't even have to try to find pictures of stuff like Ratchet, Grapple or MP44 covered in paint chips.
>>8928667I was always more of a Decepticon guy, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve really started getting into classic cars. I want the Lambros and all repaints thereof, Wheeljack, Mirage, and I really want a Hot Rod (granted it‘s not a real car but it’s based on details from several real iconic concept cars). Newage don’t get enough credit for how good their car altmodes are honestly, they are absurdly accurate for the size.
>>8928664Not only do I not understand why they even bother when it really just highlights some issues like scale, but they used to do a better job at it. The old posable binaltech accessory figures weren't great either, but they did do some really neat interiors. Leave the interiors to designs made for it.
>>8928656https://www.thechosenprime.com/tmp54reboostWhy bother with the other guys?
>>8928534You do also have to consider that that's the price before any shipping considerations. You have to choose the method ahead of time (and basically these days from overseas you'll want to choose DHL), and there's no way of knowing what that will be until they send you the invoice when they have it.
>discussing official product in the third party threadFor what purpose
>>8928876Anon is mad about digibashes
>>8928893See this kind of shit is why this thread has such a bad reputation
>>8928901I'd say it has more to do with the anons who try to start wars between the two threads and throw around the word poorfag when someone disagrees but that's just me.
>>8928876Can you really blame him for not wanting him to post in /tfg/? He probably can't even tell which thread is the currently active one
>>8928174Fuck off
>>8928792Same price, but I pay shipping there, vs it getting shipped with others I ordered already for $4 shippingLong as it's not two or more months behind, why not go with the Slow Shop.
>>8928868True but you can't really hold shipping to the manufacturer when multiple sites have different prices.
>>8928942>Long as it's not two or more months behind, why not go with the Slow Shop>Insert where I mention again that they put up a BF pre-order for DX9 Gabriel to arrive December 2019, and it took literally a full year
Just a reminder to the threads for people who still haven't learned this about any product ever made, ever:Any dates displayed are suggestions.
>>8929071>Any dates displayed are suggestionsEspecially it seems with stores like Target and figures that have street dates.
>>8929085Street dates are more for competitor reasons, not the same reason as 3P (which are just estimates)
>>8928294It's ok, but the Beachcomber he's packed with is definitely the best of the two. Not even a competition
>>8929110Oh I'm well aware on that, I was just taking it on the tangent.
>>8928699I’m with you 100%, that’s part of what I was bitching about up here >>8928441Seriously, why bother with an opening door that fits a passenger when the interior isn’t even designed to be remotely accurate? Like you said, making the vehicle interiors somewhat convincing was part of the core concept of Alternators/Binaltech, but it really has no place here.MP-45 Bumblebee is guilty of the same thing, and when the robot mode comes out looking so compromised it’s easy to blame the pointless gimmick.
>>8929130This is like the opposite of that old Simpsons gag...
What's next from Master Made? I want more chonky botz
>>8929290Dunno. Both MM and EarnestCore have been silent since Chinese New Year. I think I saw some POs for the Bird Binary figures go up though, the ones produced by EarnestCore.
>>8928441
>>8929360
>>8929367I dunno do you think she can pose guys????(Though to be fair, the 90 degree elbows are inexcusable bullshit)
>>8929382If the elbows were 90 degrees just for working treads, I'm gonna freak.
>>8926259
>>8929405
>>8929405Is there an ab crunch, or does his torso lock in at that hunched position?
>>8929360I would be so interested to see mmc take a second chance on tarn, I know the current one is accurate to some art but i just want him chunkier and with their more modern engineering. Hell I would then take the same remolds to too help pay for it
>>8929416>>8929405>kingdom scorp looks like absolute shit>TE's looks perfect save for maybe the beast mode head being a bit too high contrast to the body>way too small to fit in
>>8929593>3P Legends looks better except for the actual sizeYeah, I'll always know this feel as somebody who doesn't buy Legends-scale
>>8929617
>>8929624I am not buying $400 of the same characters I already own but smaller but I hope you have fun.
>>8929624I'm not actually this guy >>8929636 but I agree. Also because I just don't like smol figures as I am a size queen.
>>8929636Huh? Why would owning characters in another scale preclude you from buying Legends figures?
>>8929360MMC Tarn always looked bad to me but he looks even worse now next to a modern somewhat-similar figure.I still dream about that KO FT Tarn some company was making but I'm pretty sure it's dead at this point
>>8929624Small figures never look good to display unless you have either a diorama or a lot of them imo. Definitely neat little desk toys if you're into that tho
>>8929593>kingdom scorp looks like absolute shitI think he looks neat but then again I don't really care about cartoon accuracy.
>>8929653Because I don't need multiple versions of the same character, unless they're like, actual different versions or interpretations. I own a few IF toys because I love their aesthetic and they're not necessarily trying to do IDW or G1 or any specific thing most of the time, but when a Legends scale fig is just an MP or Gen toy I already own but smaller? Very hard to get enthused about and much harder to pay $60 for.>>8929685This too. Look fantastic as a group but I don't want to start building a display. Would much rather just continue to buy several small Shockwaves.>>8929712I just can't stand the proportions and the torso's boxiness. Doesn't help the store I usually preorder from filled up orders in hours instead of weeks so I missed him anyways.
>>8929712I love the beast mode, but the robot mode just looks off, and it's not because I'm obsessed with cartoon accuracy. I've loved some of the redesigns, that one just doesn't work for me.
>>8929382>>8929395Ok second elbow joint confirmed, we can all stop screeching... for now
>>8930478Confirmed by hardreturn
>>8927903Eh, it's cheap, simple, and fun. It's not even close to as impressive as something NA or MS does but IF never was. They've always been pretty basic in their engineering. Their strength has been in their unique designs and that simplicity.
>>8929521torso has no ab crunch nor a waist swivel sadly. Still, it's a dinobot-esque inside out transformation at legends/deluxe scale and the result looks good, I think I can cut it some slack personally.
>>8930683Yeah, it looks great and I'm not upset about the lack of joint, I just couldn't tell if that seam under the chest allowed for any movement. Not a big loss.
>>8928454I think I have brain damage or something because every time I see NA's bumblebee I just think it looks better from the back than the front. Like I just go "hanging the windows off the feet like that is pretty clever and the back compacts very nicely" and turn it around and go "eughh the hinge-y chestplate" and it makes me stop wanting it
>>8929405Doomshroomfx’s Skorponok is also coming along nicely. (You can view more pics of the development process on his Facebook)
>>8929416>>8931006
>>8931006>>8931009cool, how big is it?
Why does everybody always do the same fucking character at the same time?
>>8931009
>>8931027>>8931019Don’t think he’s printed one out yet, but based on his recently finished Action-master Terrorsaur, and the Inferno he’s already selling, it will probably be BW MP scale.
>>8931059(There’s panted pics of the bot-mode on his FB)
>>8931064*Painted
>>8931006Urgg, that was supposed to be a gif.Damn iCloud.
>>8931006>>8931009>>8931059Honestly these are impressive DIY projects, but they don’t look like they’ll remotely hold a candle to the upper tiers of official MP (the good ones ok?!?!) or 3P figures
>>8931132That’s fair, but so far neither of those have shown any sign of doing a BW Inferno (so far, looking at you, Kingdom), so this one at least does still fill an uncontested niche.
Is Master Made Devastator better than Metroplex?
>>8931374I don't have Devastator yet, but owning all of the other MM releases I would imagine that it is. Even Scorponok has better main joints in comparison; though I still have to knock points off of him for being a physical pain to transform.
>>8931021Because they're all basing their lines on the same series
>>8929802>>8929924Yeah I just realised I came off as rude in my original comment, my bad.I get why people dislike it, the body bot mode is my least favourite part but I love the scorpion mode and the little details they did put into bot mode. That said I think there is a 50% chance the official images are mistransformed in a way and it will look better in hand once some parts are moved but maybe that's just cope on my part.
Finally gave in and bought her on Amazon. Did I make a horrible mistake?
>>8931932Amazon? Bruh that's probably a scam
70USD for NA Shockwave. No thanks.
>>8932078Nooooooooooooo!
>>8932109Newage’s prices are starting to take the piss, honestly. Galvatron’s raised my eyebrow but I still paid for two of them like an idiot. Unfortunately I’ve amassed a pretty massive collection of their stuff already and I want a Shockwave so I might actually end up forking it over, but if they keep this up I’m out. Might as well just buy actual MPs at that point.
Fans Hobby apparently doing direct imprinting instead of stickers for Ace Hitter.
>>8932165>Might as well just buy actual MPs at that point.MP Skids is literally the same price, is twice the size, and licensed.
>>8932351I just checked on Mandarake and MP Shockwave is changing hands for ¥8000, or $73. Fuck off, Newage.
>>8932109What in the absolute FUCK is he coming with to justify that price?Fucking Iron Factory gave us Shockwave at $20 when he came out.
>>8932493Electronics, diecast and a display base. Still doesn’t justify it though, should be $50 max.
>>8932499>diecastShould pay ME for putting this shit in the figure>lightsFeatures no one uses.>display baseOk, you justified an increase from $35 to 40. Goddamn NA, what are you doing?
>>8932109Lmao I paid $80 for a Cloud9 Shockwave years ago.I want mini versions of characters I really liked just for fun but I cannot justify paying almost the same price for something that's probably going to be three times smaller with the only true difference being that there is an ab crunch. They're about five years apart or something and there's not enough of change to justify wanting something somewhat new.
>>8932109>>8932493>>8932499Guess Newage won the design battle, but the price war goes to Magic Square. They have to understand their price is already arguably past the reasonable price point for a Legends scale figure. Especially considering the fact the reason Legends is (presumably) booming is because of the smaller shelf space in tandem with lower cost, causing us to buy more figures. I'm not going to buy twice the amount of Masterpieces for the same price as an MP.
>>8932553The fucked up part is, New Age also has some of the most fairly priced figures out there too! Look at a lot of their previous releases: $35 a pop Datsun's for example. Two or three packs in the $50-ish range. Where did the sudden gouging come from? First Galvatron, now Shockwave? They better cut this shit the fuck out.
>>Splitting hairs, but it was $25, and did go up to "regular" $40 on the subsequent release.
>>8932575for >>8932493
>>8932575>>8932579Ah, $25 then. Still. This is ridiculous bullshit from NA.>pic related, NA's current pricing tier
>>8932109>>8932165>>8932493>>8932499>>8932521>>8932551>>8932553>>8932560>>8932581You can currently preorder NA Cyclops on eBay for $49 shipped.
>>8932653That's a bad idea, never preorder from Ebay.
>>8932493>Fucking Iron Factory gave us Shockwave at $20Yeah, no. TD had him marked down for black Friday that one year.
>>8932553>>8932560Looks like they started buying into their own hype as the FansToys of Legends scale and decided to start acting just as brazenly cuntish as their big brother.
>>8931932seemed like she might have been worth it at her normal price, but at the 400 dollars I can find on Amazon for a seller that isn't 1 star, no.And besides, I like Windblade more anyway, so I'll wait for her.
did this guy ever get a 3rd party figure? he was one of my absolute favorites.
>>8932966Nope, dont know who he is but he looks cool though
>>8932786Except,"This figure commemorates the 3rd anniversary of Iron Factory with an extremely low retail, and special price from Iron Factory to its fans and in partnership with TFSource offering a great introductory price for new collectors to Iron Factory's product and brand, or a great price for existing customers!" ...and this was duplicated right after by TCP and TD...at the end of May.
>>8933115And to restate again so there isn't confusion about it, it was $25 not $20.
New Third>>8933174>>8933174
>>8932966G2 jetstorm is never getting another figure, nobody knows him, and nobody cares, the best you'll get is the energon buggy mold in a custom paint job.
>>8931538>Yeah I just realised I came off as rude in my original comment, my bad.Nah, your comment was fine. While I'm not concerned about toon accuracy, I can't say I wouldn't feel differently about the toy if it wasn't based on a pre-existing character. I'll still likely get it because the scorpion mode really is great, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if the robot mode is transformed incorrectly given the track record of Hastak's photography.
>>8932493It's $70 on American sites. Just get it from China directly, it'll at least be $15-$20 less.
