Fwoosh got to look at some of the actual shipping product for Defenders of Earth: http://thefwoosh.com/2021/02/neca-defenders-of-the-earth-flash-gordon-ming-the-merciless-and-the-phantom-first-look/They should hit "soon" and Walmart gets them for about a month first.
>>8751275Wish they got updated hips, but they still look solid. It'd be nice if they weren't too tough to get up North.
NECA has also begun doing pre-orders for the movie TMNT 2 packs again. >PRE-ORDER through thenecastore.com starting Wednesday(2/03) at 12PM EST to Friday(2/12) at 11AM EST.The first sets up are the Foot Ninja 2-pack and Shredder and Splinter.https://thenecastore.com/collections/toys/products/copy-of-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-1990-movie-7-scale-action-figure-foot-soldier-2pk-with-weapon-rack?variant=38420486389941https://thenecastore.com/collections/toys/products/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-1990-movie-7-scale-action-figure-splinter-shredder-2pk?variant=38420381204661
>>8751287Hell yeah super excited to get a shredder and splinter
:O I LOVE NECA :O:O I LOVE 1/12 :O
Neca is 7 inch
>>8751405Shredder's one of my favorite figures they've ever done.
>>8751270Sorry to all of those who missed out on the Rat King/Vernon pre order earlier. I for one can't wait to get my hands on this beauty when he arrives.
>>8751647You're an idiot.
>>8751287so.. teres a chance they will put Tokkar & Razzar again... nice.
>>8751405did you never come across them in your area? thats the 2 pack ive seen the most in mine... the one i never saw was Bebop Rocksteady :/
Guys... are tgese legot or bootlegs?
>>8751647why didn't they mold it...
What figure is in the op?
>>8751917quality-wise no difference, go for it
>>8751936Ming the Merciless from the Defenders of the Earth cartoon. But you may also remember him from the Flash Gordon franchise.
>>8751270Awesome! A Jusge Mentok figure at long last! Now we just need a Harvet Birdman and Avenger.
>>8751917Probably bootlegs. You roll the dice when buying them. Probably made of discards at the neca factory. Maybe they look fine...maybe there is a lot of seem bleed and all the heads have lazy eye.
>>8751287Nice, I wanted some more foot soldiers but my local walmart doesn't carry NECA.
>>8751270I completely forgot some of the most exciting news: NECA's Universal Monsters revealed! Starting with Karloff as Frankenstein's monster. Hopefully we hear more news soon.
>>8751647That’s a knockoff
Apparently Turtles in Time Baxter has appeared overseas. Won't be too long before it comes out over here. Looking good.
>>8751930To save money. Instead of a single mold tool for his crotch, it's part of the same one as Vernon's shirt.
>>8752560Looks awful.
>>8752560Looks phoned in. Weird
>>8752594Not at all. It's nice they worked to make it look more like the sprite.
>>8752549with NECA quality it's sometimes hard to tell
fellas, im having trouble with my Kongs headswap. Should I heat the neck joint or heat the head in warm water? Or both?
>>8752739Head in water
>>8751287Thank god for this. I don't have a nearby Walmart I can check on a regular basis so I thought I was doomed with these.
>>8751275What's the goblin?
>>8752840Zuffy from the cartoon.
>>8752560that looks horrible... it has to be a bootleg, where was this found exactly?
>>8753075It looks like the sprite did, so no it doesn't look horrible.
>>8753082which sprite? the arcade game?
>>8753856Turtles in Time
>>8753859yeah youre right it looks more like the arcade version, bu now that i have the 2 pack figure, that one looks horrible to eme, the 2pack version is so pretty...
I have been out of the Predator collecting game for awhile why are these 2 so shit compared to the Alpha Predator? Exact same issues on both, loose fiddley hips...loose everything really. The left hip on both refuse to budge ( I have tried all the tricks) like god damn... if it was just one of them I'd put it down to QC, but they both suffer from the same defects
>>8754198Old Faun on the other hand 10/10.
>>8754198>loose fiddley hips>left hip on both refuse to budgeWell which is it?
>>8754209My mistake, the thighs refuse to budge. Happy?
>>8754212You were caught in a lie, opinion has been discarded NECA is still king.
>>8752493This is by far my most anticipated line.It almost makes up for the Part 7 Jason being delayed again and possibly canceled..
>>8754198>loose everything really.Really? Mine aren't loose in any way. I had to pop the thigh swivels free but that was it.
Why does randy take so long on replicas?
>>8754277kek
yesterdays loot... big restock at my Target and Wallmarts...
>>8755682Faggot
>>8755716Don't take the bait.

Classic Kong critters! Curious.
>>8752869Thanks I hate it
>>8753082Something can be accurate and still look terrible
>>8756120>>8756118I want that lil guy on the left more then any of you can know.
>>8754198where the FUCK is WOLF, RANDY
>>8756118>>8756120i like these. Hope this means a t-rex similar to but legally distinct from the one in the original movie is at least possible.
>>8754198A little update, I went and exchanged the scout since he was the one I was most hyped on. Everything is fine on this one, didn't even need to heat up the thighs to get them free. I guess i just had super shit luck picking up two lemons.
>>8754198>>8756246Picked up Lost and Scout recently too. Scout has no issues except for not being able to hold the spear properly. How did you manage it? Lost on the other hand suffers the same issues you described as your Scout. My Alpha also has those issues. I also recently got back into collecting Neca Preds. They were putting out crap several years ago but they seemed to have improved a lot though they do still have QC issues.
Is anyone else’s ghostface loose as hell? Like his hands and head all snap off easily and he doesn’t have much movement in his arms
>>8756273oops test
>>8756273Not really? Did you take the cloak off to get the arms moving and all that? Like mine isn't super tight but he poses just great.
>>8756270I'm not sure, the spear fit snuggly on mine. The gun on the other hand is a bit of trouble for me.
>>8756304I think the gun is just kind of a weird design, and they just used existing hands that were "good enough" to hold it, even if they're not perfect.
To date, NECA has not replied to Michael French’s broken Arcade Predator toys. This is not “customer service”
>>8756338Fuck off Michael. You're a retard and we all know it.
>>8756393No that's you being a retard.
>>8756382What “situation”?
>>8756401Michael's autistic. Just report ALL retroblasting posts. The guy us spamming multiple threads with it.
>>8756118>>8756120Are these actually what they looked like in the original movie or are they very clearly original interpretations?I haven't seen the original movie in forever, but these guys don't look like how I remember
>>8756322Yeah, that sounds about right. I should of looked at promo pics, heck even the front of the box, the gun fits way better with the closed right hand.
>>8756240Do they even need a license to make a T-Rex look like the 1933 one? It's just a T-Rex.
>>8756873I wouldn't think so, especially with the likes of Rebor going through an making figures of class dinosaur designs, then again Rebor has also done the V-rex and soon to be carnosaur from Disneys Dinosaurs, they might just not give a fuck.
>>8752493Weird that they denied getting the license, got the hammer license, and then carried on with the universal license. I guess they were trying to keep the line a surprise? Either way Im very happy with the incoming down pour of monster toys. Neca losing godzilla was kind of a good thing in the end.
>>8756936I guess there are legal loop holes to explore with those.
>>8751287This is cool. I found Splinter/Shredder last month at Walmart. Considering if I want the foot but I hope they add the turtles next.
>>8757073>but I hope they add the turtles next.Same. They're the only sets I haven't seen at Walmart. And I want another set of turtles so I can pop those new heads on.
I just posted some NECA Aliens in the BST if anyone is interested
>>8757073>>8757077I wish they'd do this for the Toon Turtles. I really just want a Donatello, but I've never seen any of them even with their many rereleases.
>>8759016I wish they would just get rid of the Target and Walmart exclusivity and sell everywhere like any reasonable action figure company.
>>8760814>>8760817Okay? So what?
>>8760825It... It's Toybro, basically /ourguy/
>>8751275I'm going to turn Flash Gordon into SQV Roger Wilco
>>8756873who knows, with all the weird stuff that makes getting the King Kong license fucked up and confusing, it wouldn't surprise me if getting permission to do anything from the films is a nightmare.
>>8760906Ooookay? So what? Do you think you're special for pointing that out?
>>8760924Okay? So what?
>>8760924Good job pointing that out, they can pretend it's a feature now
>>8760942And that requires you to post the same thing over and over like a jackass?
>>8760957That's incredibly stupid of you. A warning is making a clear post once, at this point you're trolling.
>>8760971Are you ok, anon? I hope you're doing well in life.
>>8760825>>8760918>>8760933>point out clear and consistent quality control issue being experienced by multiple people>Uuuhhhhh okay? So what?
>NECA Apologist threadI hate you faggots
>>8760924>And the paint is also cracking in the promo imageIn other words, it's an intentional feature--if it were a factory error they would have photoshopped it out. So stop with the shitposting.
>>8761193I hope you all recognize this is sarcasm. At least I sincerely hope it is...
Why is this being reported on as if it's new? Wasn't this released a year or two ago?https://toynewsi.com/139-38290
>>8761469Lazy lack of research, probably. BBTS is featuring it prominently as a restock preorder. Guy probably just saw it taking up a lot of real estate on the front page and ran with it.
>Only NECA figures I care about are the slasher movie ones >They rarely are fucked up Those Heroes of the Storm figures had problems though, I'm so pissed they never got to Diablo, I would kill for a proper Diablo figure.
>>8761502I would have killed for a Neca Necromancer. I got this one back in high school, but the early 2000's engineering is very lacking.
>>8761502I'm the same way, I only get their horror figures which they always go a great job on.I'm glad I'm not in the TMNT fanbase. They mostly look like good figures, but all the obnoxious people shouting and the scalpers, and shit posting is something I'm glad I have no attachment to.
>>8761551>I only get their horror figures which they always go a great job onGlad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Neca is godawful at human face sculpts but they're good at making monsters.
>>8761642Until their arms fall off I guess
Dug this guy out of storage today, I forgot the presence this thing has. Still my favorite neca Alien.
>>8761651Sad but true. Unfortunately they're the only company that makes a wide range of movie monsters. MMM was pretty good back in the day and even if their face sculpts were weird, they were at least well-made and didn't come broken. I still have a lot of stuff from that line in good condition despite it being 2 decades old at this point.
>>8761674Well, look who can get his to fuckin stand up. Really the only Neca Alien I've had trouble with, and it's just loose hips and knees.
>>8761678I remember alot of people having issues with this one, I must of won the Neca lottery
>>8761642>Neca is godawful at human face sculptsYou're a crazy person. They do some fucking excellent likenesses.
>>8761697Name one
>>8761697you can't deny that this looks like shit
>>8761700
>>8761714It doesn't look like shit at all. It's a much older sculpt, because gee wiz, companies improve over time.
>>8761700look I get this is your personality but come on
>>8761700Doc Brown, Laurie Strode, various Arnolds, Hawkins, the Nostromo crew etc etc etc
I just got my Frank figure from They LiveAnd man... it really bums me out how much better he is than the John Nada figure. NECA has been doing really well lately with their retro figures, but their John Nada kinda has his clothes like the earlier retro cloth figures, all weird and baggy looking. Maybe his head looks a little too big, idunno, it's just kinda off. I wish there were better cloths in that scale I can buy because I really want a nice looking John Nada, but hey, atleast Frank turned out great.Except both figures have their hands made out of plastic that is so hard you cant get anything in them. So that sucks.
>>8764146Heat the hands up. You can work whatever into them then. Had to do that with the Super7 turtle figures cause their hands are made of ultra hard plastic. Also for anyone still needing the Alien 40th Anniversary figures they're IN STOCK on Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Alien-40th-Anniversary-7-Scale-Action-Figure-Set-of-3-Character-NECA/596473059?irgwc=1&sourceid=imp_TYa2Fp3LqxyLRuXwUx0Mo3Z1UkEWucV%3AIzsyXg0&veh=aff&wmlspartner=imp_1459517&clickid=TYa2Fp3LqxyLRuXwUx0Mo3Z1UkEWucV%3AIzsyXg0&sharedid=&affiliates_ad_id=565706&campaign_id=9383
>>8754198Alpha is called Alpha for a reason
Damn...
Looks like the second round of Loot Crates will start on the 23rd of Feb. Looking forward to what else they might come up with.I wonder if they'll up the production numbers this time. They know it was a pretty huge success last time...
>>8766312Not the last ones we got?
>>8766411Right, this will be a new set of crates with 3-4 new figures.
>>8751275Has anyone seen these at walmart yet?
>>8766260What am I supposed to be looking at?
>>8756456They're way different. The two-legged lizard looks so weird it's hardly the same animal.
anyone else's ult ghostface have a spring action right hand?
>>8766873Haven't yet. My Walmart DID pull a bunch of stuff out and cleaned up the section though. Lots of room for new stuff now, so maybe soon!
>>8766873Actually they got page spots on Walmart.com now: https://news.toyark.com/2021/02/10/walmart-listings-for-the-defenders-of-the-earth-flash-gordon-ming-and-the-phantom-by-neca-417630So yes, very soon.
>>8761469>>8761487As someone who works with Jay, he is completely out of touch with what goes on in the figure realm outside of Marvel, and even then arguably so. Just looking at what he rehosts from reviewers, he'll get details wrong like the title of a figure or whether something is a retailer exclusive, and generally the site is a bit of a hassle.
>>8767892You couldn't post the actual links? What? Did you write that article?

>>8768014He's mentally...off...isn't he? I wanted to say "slow" but I'm not sure that's the right word. Some sort of mental disability at play, is the impression I get, which makes me sad to think about because of some disparaging remarks I've made about him publicly.
>>8768014I still recall when he was insisting that the McFarlane Mandarin Spawn was going to be a part of the Witcher series. Real odd guy.
Saw Doc Brown at Wally World today, he looked pretty good. They also had a pair of Supper Shredders, so that second wave is out there.
>>8764146it's insane to me how good Frank is compared to the absolute dogshit that is Nada. I never thought I'd hold a They Live figure in my hands and not buy it, but it's just... not good.
>>8768034>$30absurd
>>8768253Not at all.
did randy forget the password to the twitter account?

>>8752560pretty cool art on the back
>>8770091Yeah, I love that trashy arcade art from the 90s. The figure looks great too.

>>8770417Looks great, now wheres the 4pack disguises, huh? NECA?
>>8770451It's coming. Chinese New Year is tomorrow, ain't shit going to be shipping at all for a bit.

>>8761737Of all the figures you could have picked, you chose the one that looks like a theme park caricature of the actor.
>>8769912"we already did/rereleased that"
>>8770755I get this is a troll post, but come on man. Get fucked.
Christ, Randy! The Chicoms beat you to him!
>>8771024Not really since NECA did Wolf first years ago.
>>8771024Looks good but aren't these really small? Like GI Joe scale right?
>>8771088Yeah. And pretty fragile. But, like, damn. They've done their whole line so far in the time between Neca teasing that Ultimate Wolf and today.
>>8771024>>8771097This was posted back in 2017. Are they fucking waiting for the 15th anniversary or something? God damn
NECA's Twitter updated with more Ult Frankie pics!
>>8771155
>>8771155Interesting, they're using the old classic style single elbows and knees rather than their new style of double joints. I wonder if it's a licensor decision.
>>8771159
>>8771168It's a being cheap decision
>>8771168Their double elbows look ugly as shit and Frankenstein doesn't really need that range of motion.
>>8771155Damn he looks good
>>8771176>Frankenstein doesn't really need that range of motion.100% wrong
wtf does this mean
>>8771228Ot means it's in transit. There really isn't anything to decipher. It'll update when it has a last location scan.
>>8771155The instagram post also confirms it's not a one off thing, but they're starting with Frankenstein cus it's the 90th anniversary of the movieI wish he had the double elbows, and I think he should be a tad skinnier, but overall I'm excited as fuck for him and the rest of the monsters they do.
>>8771247I’m not buying this line until I know it’s the Bela Lugosi likeness for Dracula
>>8771286I'm sure they do, his rights aren't as hard to get as they used to be.
>>8771159They can give Frankenstein chains but not Kong. Come on.
>>8771155Fucking excited.I wish he came with fists though. Did he never make a fist in the movie? If so then I get why they didn't add them, but part of me wants to make Frankenstein fight other monsters.
>>8771180Fuck off eceleb faggot
>>8768253You've only just noticed the price hike? This shit became the norm atleast a year ago. It pisses me off too, considering how few accessories their typical offerings have. Police Assault Arnie doesnt come with shit aside from a gun and an extra head and he's still 30 bucks. Atleast Kong has the size factor. The rest of their figures dont have much of an excuse.
>>8769849I'm very curious as to what happened on their Twitter account. Was there some huge internet fight, or an accumulation of things?
>>8771155>>8771159>>8771171Looks good so far, I wonder who they'll show off next. General question to the thread, what's your favorite universal monster/who do you want neca to cover next?
>>8771339Even worse
>>8771333Yeah, the Ultimates jumped from $25 to $30/35 a bit ago, but these aren't Ultimates, just regular figures on repainted bodies. Pretty shitty.
>>8771338He just came back with the Frankenstein pics
>>8771343Favorite movie is Invisible Man. Then Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. I had no idea those 3 movies were made by the same guy until after I decided they were my top 3, so I guess I just like that director. But my favorite monster design is Gillman from Creature of the Black Lagoon.
>>8771155I would have preferred the Hammer versions.
>>8771354Toy companies are full of it, likewise hasbro is seemingly pulling this shit too. I noticed legends are going for 25 bucks now. The inflation excuse is bunk, they're nickel and diming us.
>>8771403Invisible Man and Gillman are likely on the way just going off popularity. Invisible Man is in especially dire need of a neca figure cause they've never given the cunt a decently articulated figure before this. The DST fig was a 3 poa statue shit with a big base as I recall. What are the chances NECA will release b&w versions of the monster line up first and then a wave of colored repaints after the fact?
>>8771408I hope they're still going to deliver on the hammer figs. Hammer fags have been starved of merch for decades now. I drool at the thought of amassing figures based on all their different frankenstein monsters.
After the coming out of their shells tour turtles, it'd be criminally retarded of neca not to jump at the chance of making some pepsi universal monster variants.
>>8771414Brian from Super7 even explained why prices are going up, including theirs. Deal with it, it's not them nickel and diming anyone.
Frat boy gillman would be a legendary release
>>8771294They have the license to Universal shit. They don't have the Kong license, and I'm willing to bet have to skirt around it, so no chains for Kong. Too much like the movie.
>>8771451What if they included chains for kong in the kong accessory packs?
>>8771445>comparing super7 to retail shitYou're comparing high end collector items to figures I can buy in walmart. If Im going to be made to pay another 5 to 10 bucks a figure, it better come with more shit.
>>8771468>super7>high end collector items
>>8771485it's small run made to order niche shit, not mass retail toys you retard
>>8771425>What are the chances NECA will release b&w versions of the monster line up first and then a wave of colored repaints after the fact?Well it seems like the b&w versions will come first since the Frankenstein that's revealed is b&w, so I assume they will all be like that at first. Then we'll probably get sporadic colored releases. But then who knows really, because I would think some monsters work better in b&w, and some work better in color like Gillman. Eventually I'm sure we'll see them all in bother versions
>>8771500collector shit or walmart shit, all that shit is made of plastic, and plastic prices are going up.That's the reality of the situation.
>>8771462Do we know we're getting an accessory pack?I know they teased those little skull island creatures, but they can also be accessories to a v-rex figure. It's hard to imagine them doing an accessory pack for a line that's just one figure deep. 2 I guess cus of that repaint.
>>8771528Isnt that effectively what the creature pack is though? Ultimately I just see those packs as a decent excuse to sell add ons for Kong and any potential Kong foes they can sell. On a related note, does anyone have any fondness for the kong cartoons? Kong has a sizable rogues gallery they could pull from those series.
>>8771468You're not getting anything more with the super7 figures than you had been and it's going up $10. It's the same no matter what.
>>8771521Is it a matter of plastic prices or labor prices? Isnt China going through economic stagnation at this point?
>>8771629China is becoming less and less the place to go for manufacturing. Watch the Pixel Dan video with Brian about the thundertank costs. He explains how it's going up across the board.
>>8771619I mean like a legit articulated v-rex, not like statue shit with a swivel or 2.If they did an actual articulated v-rex and he came with 2 little creatures, I wouldn't consider that an accessory set, I'd consider that a v-rex figure with some creatures as accessories.I'm not saying that's what they're doing, just that nothings confirmed though. The beats of the mezoic guy is a sculptor for NECA so I wouldn't be entirely surprised if that's what they end up doing.
>>8771649My understanding was that the creature pack was being released as it's own thing. If they end up including the skull island critters with the v-rex then that throws a wrench into any chances of getting some kong chains.
>>8771408>>8771433Yeah, there was a press release awhile back that they had the rights to the Hammer monsters, but I fully expect those to be retro styled releases.Good thing their retro figures are way better than they were at the beginning of the line. They used to look like ass, but now the clothes aren't as awkward, much better paint on the heads, double jointed elbows and ankle pivot.I fucking hate the Hatchet movies but the figure looks so good I might get it
Got Marty today, anyone have the pictures of the one with awful paint? I would like to compare. Thanks in advance.
>>8771916>the one with the awful paint
I was hoping Frankenstein would be in color, but I know that will be a repaint.
>>8771972Thanks anon
Who's preordering?
>>8772018You already should know randy wants all the shekels he can squeeze out of us with shitty/unnecessary repaints. Just look at that horrendous king kong repaint he's putting out. It's a fucking travesty.
>>8772138For a second this looked real, but I can just borrow my moms to use
>>8771916why does he have the hands of a senior citizen ?
>>8771403>>8771425Based Invisibros
Target delayed my Krang again. This is getting annoying. It would be one thing if they didn't take my money like 3 weeks ago. I think they're getting in small batches because my order will randomly switch to preparing for shipping and then a few days later switch back to backordered. They shouldn't be allowed to do that shit. How the fuck did they sell me a product they don't even have? It's not like it was a pre order.
>>8772648You're probably not getting it dude
>>8772668Don't you crush my hopes like that.
>>8772321Stay mad cuntwhistle.>>8772499Because you don't know what you're talking about.>>8772648I don't know if I've heard anyone mention this yet. I'll poke aroubd and see if others are waiting. Apparently a lot of people got their rat kings in without a shipping notification though.
>>8772499You’ve never done manual labor or lifted a weight in your life so you have no visible veins in your hands
>>8771441>>8771450Fuck that would be awesome. I have 3 of these original posters hanging up, still looking for the other 3.
>>8771155>>8771159Meh, I think I'll wait for a colorized version. I don't want black & white.
>>8772852we're talking about Marty McFly here
Fuckin yoooooooo
>>8773129Holy shit they’re going full force.
>>8773129Who’s that
I want invisible man and creature from the black lagoon But I also want color
>>8773228The Mummy
>>8773228The mummy.
>>8773129I need him in color.
When
>>8771142I don’t believe we’ll ever get Predalien at this point either. They teased that back when Toys R Us was still around in the US.
Tony terror Bruce
>>8773923Oh that's great
>>8773923*toony kek
>>8773129NOOOOO WHAT DOES IT MEANN
>>8773129I love how we're getting more than one monster revealWhile I'm stoked to get all the monsters, this one was probably my least wanted thoughThe Mummy is cool, and I get that this his most iconic appearance, but really he only looked like this in the first scene of the movie and that was it. I wonder what he'll come with?I would think his tomb is too big. Then maybe the scroll from the opening, a head with opened eyes... and then that's probably it right?
>>8773129I knew Dracula or The Mummy would be next. This makes me very happy
>>8775007These look a million times better than the Reaction creature from the black lagoon
>>8773129Super7 on suicide watch
>>8771841>Good thing their retro figures are way better than they were at the beginning of the line. They used to look like ass, but now the clothes aren't as awkward, much better paint on the heads, double jointed elbows and ankle pivot.Which kinda belies the point of them in a way, of being retro style Mego releases. But yeah no complaints. I'd love to see them to the same style at a smaller size and blow Mezco away.
>>8773249>>8773129Between this and the Figma King Tut... damn... I want my mummy.
>>8771142At the rate they're pumping out the Lost Tribe, they still have like, six more of them plus the battle damage City Hunter, it feels like it'll be next year before they even have those guys done. I really don't know what else is left after that. This guy has got to be coming around sometime soon....He seemed so close to completion back then, I wonder what is going on with him.
>>8775057>figma King tut
Did everyone get their Miner already?

>>8777491Dracula 1931??
>>8777491I'm so in on this line.
>>8777491YES
most based design ever
>>8752493Will we get a Dracula? I kinda remember reading something about Lugosi's likeness rights being almost impossible to get.
>>8778529>Will we get a Dracula?Mate... >>8777491
>>8777491Fuck yesss
That is a tiny coffin. What are we getting? A bee with a coffin?
>>8778981You uncultured swine. It's a still from Dracula.
>>8777491I truly wonder what the chances would be that they could splinter off and do multiple various versions of the Universal monsters throughout the years.90s The Mummy and Mummy returns would have some real potential with everything but terribly CGI'd Scorpion King
>>8779087I refuse to believe anyone waxes poetic about those crummy movies
>>8779090The Brendon Fraiser Mummy movies were some top tier 90s/00s action adventure, even the Dragon emperor
>>8779090Well you're clearly a retard so
>>8779087I just want that fucking sexy anubis from Mummy Returns. SOTA was gonna make it and didn't, then Jakks or whoever was and that got cancelled too.
>>8779090first mummy was like universal horror monster turned into a rollercoaster ride with fun monsters, what's not to like?
>>8778529>I kinda remember reading something about Lugosi's likeness rights being almost impossible to get. That was the pastSuper7 has made Drac figures with his likeness, theres a clothing line from some horror company with his likeness, and there's a Dracula comic using his likenessThe days of those likeness rights being hard to get are over.
>>8778529>>8779415They were never hard to get, just expensive. Companies had to pay both Universal and Lugosi’s estate, the latter of which is more expensive.
>>8779485I wonder how the rights are about Lon Cheny Jr?I would think the Wolfman when it happens would have the parts to switch out between human and monster form and you have to give the actor his credit, he stuck with the Talbot character long past the time Lugosi, Karloff, and all the others had tired of doing the other monsters.
>>8779087I would do terrible things for an Ultimate Rick O'Connel.
I know it's Hammer, but I hope we get there
>>8779111>I just want that fucking sexy anubis from Mummy Returns. SOTA was gonna make it and didn't, then Jakks or whoever was and that got cancelled too.I'd kill for a line of good The Mummy Returns figures.
>>8779087>>8779092I got some new respect for the Scorpion King from the end of The Mummy Returns when the director said he tried to make it seem like old Harryhausen stopmotion when it became apparent the CGI wouldn't be photorealistic. It still looks like crap but I appreciate them trying to play up the animated aspects of it.
FUTCHA Doc Brown
>>8779888I don't think they'd pay for Cheny's likeness rights if it'd just be for an option to make him a normal Larry Talbot. I think that'd be cool, but if 99% of people are going to display him as wolfman Idunno if they'd do that.
>>8780474I dig that money case, but I'm leaning to sticking with just '55 Doc.
>>8780157I got the black series Tarkin just for the Cushing headsculpt. Hammer license would be sick
>>8779888>>8780500That’s a good question, and I’m not sure about the answer. While the makeup did hide most of his face, Cheney’s Wolfman was still very recognizably him, especially compared to other Wolfmen of the time.I’ve also never heard about companies complaining about getting likeness rights from his estate, like you’ll hear from Lugosi’s. So I have no idea if his estate is involved in Wolfman rights the way Lugosi’s and Karloff’s are. As a spectator, it’s a bit of a grey area.As an aside, I’d love an ultimate Wolfman with alternate Larry Talbot bits. Larry is my favorite character from all the Universal Monsters, and Cheney did a fantastic job playing a truly cursed man. So I’m probably one of the few who’d buy just a Larry figure without Wolfman parts.
>>8780878The Super7 wolfman figure does not have any copy right credit for Cheney's estate like their Dracula does for Legosi
>>8780474I'll get it....
>>8781323That’s interesting. I guess his likeness isn’t needed. Thanks for the info, anon
Got Doc Brown at Target today. Canceled my BBTS order of it while I was in the checkout line. Not sure if that was NECA's fuckup or theirs, but people have been getting theirs for weeks, but I never got the payment request.Anyway, this is the best likeness I've seen. I never thought they'd outdo their Schwarzeneggers. Makes me retroactively kinda hate my Ripley since she's not up to snuff.Poseability is pretty limited. Could've had more/better accessories. The model, the toy car, and the trash can/flames would've been neat. Still, I love it. Will buy the hat & bowling shirt version whenever that happens.
>>8781940I just placed a pre-order on BBTS for him. I haven't found him anywhere except one store but they marked him up to $50 so fuck that. I hope BBTS gets me my Doc
>>8779087I almost want neca to throw a bone at the few anons left who want a figure od the recent lady mummy. Make the figure an exclusive or something, throw a bone to those poor chumps.
>>8752493I wonder if I should hold put for a coloured version.
>>8771514I think Franky works alright in b&w the same way the hulk does.
>>8781940Yeah, they outdid themselves with Doc's likeness. It's a shame Marty isn't as good.
Turtle disguise 4 pack https://twitter.com/NECA_TOYS/status/1361723757342175233?s=20
>>8782943Looking wonderful.>ywn get to hang out with the turtles only in pants
>>8782956That’s a cool diorama. Do you think neca is planning to release another building display, only repainted in the cartoon aesthetic? I’d buy that one in a heartbeat.
>>8783027I got good news and bad news about that.
>>8783036Ace Duck should be arrested desu
>>8782956Fuck. They're using the older darker colors and not the brighter colors they recently released. I'm guessing the pants are removable anyways.
>>8783089Yeah these aren’t the licensed brighter colors, it’s the darker cartoon ones
>>8782604I’m wondering the same thing. I prefer them in color, but I don’t want low sales to kill the line before we get the main crew.
>Randy says we'll get a tease if they make it to 100k followers>They get to 100k followers>Shows us something we already knew aboutk, cool Randy. Thanks.
>We got this shit before Wolf
>>8783804Don't you tease me with Predatits!
>>8783804
>>8780878Wolfman and Creature have been my favorites since the fifth grade when AMC Monsterfest marathoned old black & white monster movies throughout October, so I can't wait to see them.
>>8783808>>8783843Its fake
>>8784149That’s what you think
>>8784149no shit, NECA would never put out a toy with cleavage like that
>>8783804What the fuck are they thinking
>>8782202Out of everything wrong with that movie the Mummy waifu wasnt one of them, also apparently it made for a very nice sidescoller castlevania type game.>dat feel when they could have pulled just enough of a rats ass to make The Mummy, Dracula Untold, and The Wolfman remake all in the same universe.
Ash tease
>>8784149That's why I told the anon not to tease me. Also, I'm glad it isn't real because that thing has a bad case of MK9 man hips.
>>8785618Evil Dead 1 Ash! Interesting.
>>8785618Fucking yoooooo evil dead deadites please
>>8785618ED1 Ash?... huh okay.I'm cool with that. I would also like an updated version of ED2 Ash. That figure is from like 2013, the only articulation they updated is his hips.Don't give me a character that uses a shotgun and has a chainsaw hand and give him single jointed elbows that barely go 45 degrees. But I'm excited for ED1 Ash. I was hoping for AoD Ash if I'm being honest, but they probably just wanted to reuse sculpts from ED2 Ash like the torso. and some leg parts.
>>8785663Yeah really hoping this is all new and leads to a new ED2 figure. The ones out so far are subpar compared to not just other NECA's but even the AvED figures.
>Never seen Target Alien 40th wave>Only want Dallas and Ripley>Go to Target>The section has been restocked for the first time in months>See Alien 40th concept xenomorph with 2 other Alien 40th hanging behind it on the peg>!!!!!!!!>Aaaand it's just 2 more concept xenomorphsGreat. Cool. Exclusives are a good idea.Atleast I got the Stalker and Scout Predators. For some reason every stalker predator had either the right or left half of his chest armor neglected with paint but oh well.
>>8785671Scout is so fucking stiff. The hinge for his suicide bomb broke right out the package. I thought his arm broke too when I tried to move it but it just came off the peg attached to the joint. I put it on but now it's super loose. I've had stiff NECA figures but this is crazy.Stalker is much better. He's stiff but it's the usual stiff. Nothing broken and his unique armor I feels like lets him get his arms down closer to his side which might not be a big deal to people but I like that.
>>8781466A decade back I had a belt buckle of The Wolfman's face and that thing was certainly stamped Chaney on the inside so maybe they don't have the rights anymore.
>>8779415To my knowledge, Lugosi Jr was a hardass about rights for the monster children and thought they should all get pay days for what their daddys did decades ago. Jr is like 80 something years old and I would not be surprised if he was stuffed in a retirement home a couple of years ago and the grandkids are enjoying their easy pay days and letting anyone slap Lugosi on a fucking Lunchable
>>8785698My jungle scout canon broken out of the box too. A little upsetting.
>>8785637This. I want a re-release of Henrietta. Scalper prices are absurd for Necashit.
>>8786432>>8785637The two pack with deadite Ed is well over $100 now too. What are the chances we get some rereleases? I kind of want that ripped shirt ash but I would definitely prefer a couple of two packs for the deadites. If those They Live aliens can get a two pack the deadites can get packs too.
>>8785698>>8786364So I didn't realize this at first, but both predators left leg swivel was completely stuck.I had to take the legs apart with the help of hot water. I had to use A LOT of force and some tools. I succeeded in freeing up Stalker's leg swivel. Scout didn't make it. The joint broke, so that's a fucking waste. I had the same issue with Borg predator. I had to take him apart and almost broke him.Borg, Scout, and Stalker all use the same left leg I guess, so that mold is just somehow fucked up maybe? I'm just pissed because Scout was one of my most wanted lost tribe Predators.
Fuck NECA, seriously. So sick of shit like this. And before you ask, yes I heated the damn joints--started with hot water, then went to hair dryer, and STILL this shit happened...
>>8787271I hope Randy gets that disease that fucks up your asshole and you have to wear a diaper for the rest of your life.
>>8787271>>8787277Don't hamhands Neca toys nigga
>>8787296the solid plastic parts like the foot falling apart isn't an issue of ham hands and heating it up probably only made it worse.
>>8787277>black paint on orange plasticcome on randy that's just fucked
>>8766873
>>8787306So...what exactly was I supposed to do? I do this every fucking time: either soak the figure in hot water or, if that doesn't work, apply some heat. Shit was stuck and wouldn't move. What, I should have just dealt with not being able to pose the figure? or returned it to the store and, when I asked why I was returning it, told them...what...exactly?
>>8787271>>8787277What the fuck are you guys doing to your toys? I've literally never had anything like this happen
>buy Ultimate Dog Alien>left ankle joint is stuck and won't move and doesn't attach to the foot properly>stand is broken in the boxWhat the fuck? Is this normal? I mostly buy figuarts and revoltechs. This is the first time I've had QC issues this bad.
>>8787271>>8787277You're a fucking idiot, holy shit. You literally broke that, absolutely nothing else could've done that naturally.
>>8787389Do you have retard fits and throw things against the wall?
>>8787271>>8787277Not even your figures asswipe.
>>8787277>I hope Randy gets that disease that fucks up your asshole and you have to wear a diaper for the rest of your life.I believe that disease is called RetroBlasting
>>8787271Neca needs to sort their QC this shit is a fucking joke! Even when you heat up the joints they still break necafags will still defend this shit.
>>8788135Because you broke it on purpose. No normal person would get damage like that normally. Fuck off retard.
>>8788168Seethe lol I don't waste my money on cheap crap necafag.
>>8788212Get fucked troll
How durable are ultimate Pinhead’s needles?
>>8785618Is that chainsaw a completely new mold, or is it a repainted chainsaw from Leatherface?
>>8789088They're fine but you might break them trying to get his head off to switch it. Mine was on there pretty good and I definitely bent a bunch of needles trying to get it off. Maybe if you use some tweezers or something to get in between them and squeeze it off would be good. They will last though they feel alright for being so thin.
>>8789363Literally just look up leatherface. It's different you dumb pleb. I won't tell you how though.
>>8789088Very. You still have to be careful not to smash your fingers into them, but the head swaps really easy. They were very smart about it.
>>8787389Cool, I will go try to find them at walmart.
