So, Optus Pexus or Striker Manus? Both look real good.
That looks better for sure.
>>8695753Sizes are going to be different, and then there's just the general fact that you'll more easily be able to find Optus Pexus than Striker Manus.
>>8695753Optus, and just get the KO for SM. Pretty sure the KO is good quality (or at least the Nemesis SM I bought, aside from one arm flap being loose)
>>8695667i have a bootleg optimus prime toy that says "let's go niggers"https://youtu.be/CkUza0xU2GM
>>8695746>>8695749>>8695751this is fantastic.definitely good enough to be a display piece as is.
>>8695746That box hits the nostalgia feels. It's too bad I'm not onboard with any of the design decisions they made on this guy.>t. Armada babby>>8695753Pexus is going to shit on Manus with articulation which is a crazy thing I would not believe myself saying a few years ago when Manus was first out. Other than that, it's IDW vs stylized and up to you.So long as Pexus isn't a QC disaster that is. Manus is great with other FP and MT offerings.
TransArt TM Cheetor is looking pretty solidhttps://youtu.be/eYqMk65qj10
>>8695765had no idea there was a KO of Manus, I might be interested in that!
>>8695746Desperately want to want this, but the core bot seems so stretched out and twinky. Doesn't seem armada optimus enough to me.
>>8695819I agree, the HasTak core bot looked so nice and chonky, and this fella lacks that.
>>8695816Do research on the quality for the original colours but they should be about the same. I got Noir for only 60? CAD like 1.5 years ago and I don't regret it. They also KO'd the weapon kit>>8695809Really excited at the thoughts of a new TM1 Megatron. BW Megs isn't my favourite but all three of his forms are great enough to buy, though I got the stylised PE figure for TM2.Hoping we get news of that Tigerhawk from that other company
What do you all think of the new TFC Abominus team? Their Piranacon seemed to be decent.
>>8696008I bought Sinnertwin when he shipped in 2019, and sold him off last year. Just wasn't all that impressed overall. If you want an Abominus that's going to be the same size, I'm sure it'll be fine enough?
>>8696008They look pretty good but as someone that already owns Poseidon they seem a bit too samey for me to really be that interested for their price (they're pretty expensive for what you get). If you don't have a good 3P combiner yet though TFC combiners are a pretty safe bet if you're interested in getting their Abominus. Personally I'm just waiting for that LGEX Abominus release. Also worth mentioning the Cang Toys Predacons, they're in a similar style and those seem really good but I'm still waiting to see what the whole combiner will be like seeing as they're doing a lot of crazy stuff with it (so far it's all good though)
>>8696008Like >>8696021 I bought sinnertwin. He's alright, but not worth the $99 price tag. Esp with the QC issues. >loose joints>stress marks
>>8695809hope they make tm tarantulas
>>8696028I can't remember loose joint issues, but I definitely developed stress marks -- particularly on the inside of his waist because it felt like the movement range they gave the hinge there for transformation didn't feel like it was given enough, so I did end up forcing it a little more.I was glad enough that I got him from a Chinese eBay-er (using a coupon) for ~$76; that felt closer to what his value should be.
>>8696074Though I will stipulate with this -- his colors are great, and though he still uses just those same basic 5mm-but-open hands, they did change the sculpt of them to give him an improved finger look to them over their Seacons.
>>8696027>>8696008To give an example of what you get aesthetically with each. And this is to also keep in mind that both TFC and Cang are essentially sister companies under the same head ownership.
>>8696086I don't care for Predaking that much but I'm tempted to replace my Feral Rex. Even as standalone figures the Cang releases look so sexyMight just get their Divebomb because I love birbs. We need more good avian and winged Transformers in general
>>8696114I'd say in either instance, whether going for combined or going for a team, you're certainly going to want to plan the space logistics for it. Especially taking into account if you want that full team, simply because you might combine them at one point or another, there's going to be six of them and not five.
>>8696074>I can't remember loose joint issuesMainly in dragon mode. The two front legs on mine can't hold the weight.
TFW user posed this. Seems to be solid. Unfortunitly, his was missing a clip to hold deadend in place.
Funny how the cabs are the same size on both IF Magnus figures
>>8696181>don’t talk to me or my son ever again>virgin City Commander vs chad Final Battle Armor
>>8696130Well, I'd get rid of my Feral Rex in that case. Don't need two Predakings.Feral Rex still aged fine (aside from the terrible sword handle) but I don't touch it too much in combined mode. Might consider selling him off cheap and buying 2-3 Cang members, keeping them separate.
>>8696191>Don't need two Predakings
>>8696181I'm disappointed you can't kept the green manlet hidden inside in all modes but I'm still really looking forward to this.
>>8696203I have gross monsterarts and statue shit, I only got so much space left but I'm a retard who still buys big bois ;_;
>>8696206Well it does fit inside the trailer section in alt mode... but I do kinda wish it could just stay in Magnus’ cab the whole time, if that’s what you mean
>>8696271Yeah if you look at it from the perspective of the character's lore it's kind of silly>don't fear fellow autobots your hero Ultra Magnus is alive and well, don't pay any mind to the little green man that crawls in and out of him every time he transforms that's perfectly normal of him, Ultra Magnus is right here in front of you no need to panic
>>8695758Yeah the yellow looks way better, but personally I'll probably do mine up in a pink so it's still accurate to the games. Either way, it's pretty pathetic how bad the stock eye looks.
>>8696358By this time they knew he about Ambus. It also was highly modified armor for a battle they weren't sure they were going to win.
>$25 slow/$50 fast shipping from PSE for optus pexusI really hope whatever the exclusive ends up being isn't anything special, because that's a little too nuts for me.
>>8696571the first preorder period (till November I think) was free shipping, but I was too late for that one.
>>8695809I ended up ordering it after watching that video. If anything I might need to apply some future polish to the hinges near the robot shoulders, but aside from that (and the missing teal paint on the cat nose) it looks pretty flawless. Looking forward to seeing Ravage in color
>>8696669I wish Ravage’s panther mode handled the “helmet panel” thing better and could transform without partsforming the hands
My invoice for Banana Boy has finally arrived.I think I'll settle on a Newage set of the Stunticons once I'm done with the FT set, hopefully a toy version or translucent version, I feel extremely gimmicky on that.
>>8695746That is some fucking awesome packaging, but the detail isn't as good as the original and the proportions are wonky. I want to support this, but it misses the mark so much it looks amateur.
>>8696694Who invoiced ya?
>>8696694Is it bad i want to pick up this guy and road king as stand alone figures? Can't say I give too much of a shit about the stunts but I'm a sucker for deceptions and these two are real neato
>>8696805Seems like every other person buying these intends on doing that. The Fanstoys Stunticons have all been really good, aside from some minor paint scraping concerns on Breakdown and Wildrider.
>>8695753Striker
>>8695746Gonna be honest, from the thumbnail I thought they just stole the original Armada logo. As far as the thing itself goes, it looks fantastic, but i just can't justify the price. But I'm going to laugh if it comes out before the Armada Optimus Takara's had in their back pocket for years now.
>>8695753They're two different flavours of Cybertronian Optimus, it's hard to really think of them as competing honestly. I think Striker is cooler but I'm pretty glad Optus Pexus turned out so good, he looks like a pretty definitive figure of that version of Optimus even if I don't have much interest in it personally.
>>8695753Pexus looks great but some of the newer pics of him coming out make him appear a bit too noodly. I still love SM and his Nemesis repaint will have a place on my top 5 turd parties forever but he's starting to show his age a bit in some spots.
>DX9 used Dragstrip's real nameIs that a final "fuck you" to HasTak?
>>8697039It's weird to me that DX9 would do this simply because they as a team fucked off while the factory owner is still willing to re-release more of their stuff. It's like they want the owner to get caught.
Manus vs Pexus anon here. I couldn't decide so I actually grabbed both! I love Optimi that are really good at posing and still chunky, so I hope that Flame Toys 3P actually happens. Thanks for your input, you really sold me on Manus!

>>8696868Sick ass shot.
This shit makes me want to open up my Jet Fire and play with it.
>>8697363trust me hes better in the box, that dude is such a disappointment when you open him up and play around with him
>>8695776Sounds like, "Let's go, Rangers."
It's in-between deluxe and voyager class...So now you can have a UM for every inch-height.
>>8697372Damn, thanks for the heads up.
>>8695809They should have make the thighs a little thinner.
>>8696086That's... actually pretty good. So that should mean TFC Abominus would be 15-18" combiner scale while Thunderking would be 20-22", right?>>8697510>quite a bit shorter than WFC MaggieSeems like the perfect size to me.
>>8696181>>8696186>>8696271>>8697510Where can I still get him?
Just got Toyworld’s TLK Optimus in. Honestly this thing is more photogenic than I realized since in person it’s proportions are a bit off/puffy. It’s also less solid than UT Challenger. Haven’t transformed it yet, but it’s not the clear winner in robot mode I was expecting it to be.
>>8697649Here it is with Toyworld’s other Op, whom I’m afraid to transform.
>>8697617Anywhere, he's not really out yet except maybe to reviewers and maybe in China.
>>8697555If I wasn't waking up in the middle of the night I'd get my measuring tape to check on Poseidon. Maybe later on I'll do that.
>>8697039No it's a "please kill me" sign
>>8697613And no one will complain because it’s not Nicee
>>86977091. Buy Flame Toys Arcee2. Jam her head on Nicee3. ???
>>8697613so how mad are people gonna be lmao
>>8697613wonder if you can yoga-her into ER Arcee's vehicle shell.
>>8697709>And no one will complain because it’s not NiceeYou weren't around for the windblade debacle were you?
>>8697903what do you mean "weren't around?" it's still going on :/
>>8697613The tons of random greeble looks bad, like it's for the sake of detail since Arcee (and Windblade to a slightly less extent) are just 'draw a naked woman and call it a Transformer lol'
>>8697649>>8697655Don't like them but thanks for funding Toyworld's backlog.
>>8695809They’re delaying Cheetor to paint the nose teal since they got flooded with comments about it> The production of new products does not go smoothly. The 15th shipment we originally expected will need to be delayed for several days. The most enthusiastic nose painting will be added.

Did I miss the discussion for this? >>8698381Oh, no argument. I'm just appreciating
>>8695746it fucking hurts how much I need this in my life. but it's prolly gonna be more expensive than a MP-44
>>8699097It's only $214https://www.thechosenprime.com/fhmb15navalcommander
>>8699097Try half - https://www.thechosenprime.com/fhmb15navalcommander
>>8696921Thats pretty much why im holding off. Id rather ha e something that i can make use of with my existing stuff since it would have a lot of 5mm ports on its trailer. I saw that the FH one has minicon ports that work with micromasters but that just seems kind of halfbaked
Are there any reviews of the KO for MP Hound? Apparently one just came out. I was interested in the MP until they unveiled how 200$ it was and when everyone found it it just breaks. KO's 50$ and I'm wondering if it's better.
>>8699180>Apparently one just came outAny reviews if any are likely just in Chinese right now.
>>8697613So is Frank having a hissy fit?

>>8699212I can't even remember that last time Iron Factory had a KO.
>>8699204Not saying much when SS Hot Rod is pretty small desu.
>>8699218And it pains me, because I want an oversized DJD team so fucking bad. Or at least of Tarn because the MMC came out looking like crap in comparison
>>8699218Just looking over the various MFT releases, the most "recent" one looks like it might have been Bridge Watcher.
I got newage's Karate Kid a few days ago, it's a really cool Soundwave but those pin sliders for the arms give me major "this is going to wear out very quickly" anxiety. I wish there was a locking part on that to hold them in place because it just feels like the bumps are going to flatted out after a few transformations and make the elbows go completely loose.
>>8699349I made a mistake ordering mine from BBTS
>>8699234>Bridge Watcher. As in Iron Factory's Bridge Watcher?I know MFT made an OSKO of it years ago, but that was years ago.

>>8700286Man I so want them to just release some replacement heads for Sideswipe. For one of their first figures it still holds up really well but man they could not into face sculpts at first.
>>8700086Not him but the KO got a reissue with a more comic accurate purple and that's still readily available. I switched from bridge watcher to the KO and he's not really a downgrade, actually the tolerance of his joints was way better than BW out the box.

>>8698342And he'd be right.>>8698356Greeblephobia is often a telltale sign of being a literal boomer from TFW2005, and there are more than one of them here, although they usually only show up in /tfg/ or when someone shits on MP stuff. But let me give you the benefit of the doubt. Are you one of those people who thinks clean surfaces makes a toy look more premium?
>>8700717The salt is real
>>8700717Holy shit you're fucking insane. The dude said he thinks the greeble is a bit excessive and then you bitch about the fancy website because it lives rent free in your head. He said nothing about disliking greeble entirely but you needed to spin a narrative that he absolutely does just so you can rant.
>>8696186>The irreducible me.
>>8700781Fuck idw, fucking retarded micro green shit
>>8700791>can you point to the area on this ultra magnus doll where minimus ambus touched you?
>>8700282>>8700286>>8700504>car chunks just hanging off their legs on the sidesWhat the fuck? Did MS just give up on them halfway through or something? You can't tell me with all of the origami bullshit they pull with every figure that makes them look so clean and nice they just drop the fucking ball here.
>>8700833Now that you mention it they do look like minor retools of their Sideswipe. Not surprising really since all the cars have to do is staple onto the calves. Easy money for MS to get.
>>8700833Car parts have to go somewhere, The stunticon deisgns don't really have much to worth with considering their robot modes don't really incorporate any car elements beyond maybe a back spoiler and an errant wheel. Even the Newage Breakdown mold pretty much just gave up and let there be some car chunk leg kibble made the arms just be the intake vents without even bothering to try and flip them around.
>>8700791stay mad
>>8699180Ben just posted one but he's not that critical of most things but at least you can see him handle and transform it without it snapping in two.

more pics from TFW
I'm considering cancelling my accessory kit order. The arms look fine in each pic.
>>8701197I'd say you should ignore the kit.
>>8695667First time getting anything Transformers related at all, is the MPP10 a good starting point? It seems really cool.
>>8701228Ive heard nothing but good things from it.
>>8701228Its alright, but dated and dosen't fit in with the current MP aesthetic.
>>8701228Heard it was pretty nice quality for the price point. I wish the official MP had the extended legs because it really does fix up the proportions>>8701237Isn't it oversized? It's not gonna fit with current MPs regardless.
>>8700928Instead of having car chunks hanging off the leg why not make them fold into the leg? These look pretty lazily done, which is an absolute shame given how long they've been baking.
>>8701248Blarg, I misread the post and image threw me off too.
>>8701256I might recommend a switch to collecting Gundam and Hot Wheels if this is going to trip you autism.

>>8701197At the very least you'll be getting a gun and a sword with the trailer.
Some Chinese retailers are stating that they're getting Optus Prexus on the 20th of this month. Surprised MMC got him out this fast, while their Deathsaurus has been in limbo for so long.>>8701283He's probably some shitposter from /tfg/ who doesn't even buy third party products, just ignore

>>8702636Just buy a few MP sized pieces you really like. MP stuff will always look the nicest on display but is more tasteful with less stuff. Also more of a treat.
>>8702640Yeah, the Rolling Thunder stuff showed that TFC can do great MP sized OC designs. Might just focus on their MP stuff then, since it's almost guaranteed to be few and far between.
Here the person is just using the arm shells with no cars in them.

>>8702570This needed the cockpit on the ass end.
>>8701176Not legally, I don’t think. Shapeways is probably not actually a good choice in terms of material quality or structural strength. You’d probably have an easier time just looking up and finding a local 3D printing service with an SLA printer. Might even be cheaper given how expensive large shapeways prints are.
>>8701197but what about the bazillion face plates?
>>8702888I still don't get why there is like 10 Motormaster face sculpts when all the members could have received a few extra instead.
>>8701344>There's many flavours of shitposters here, and knowing is half the battle. Can confirm, most of what I post on either of theses threads are other people’s meme-y/humorous images that I’ve found.I don’t even own that many transformers.
>>8702896Yeah, it made sense for the MM faces to come with the trailer while the kit can with extra plates for the rest of the gang.
>>8702896>>8702940Let's be real here once the full combiner is out you can count the number of people who will ever display them separately on one hand. I get why they wouldn't bother making accessories for them.
>>8702636>>8702646I mean, you can change the way you think about it. S.T. Commander can sit Dianauts, so it's not MP-scale, it's 1:60 scale.
>>8702669And no cars on the legs means it's likely just the trailer on its own.
He looks like my boner feels.
Anyone have experience with ordering 4Ps from Aliexpress?
>>8701419That could be.It would make sense because Deathsaurus was still relevant in the comics near the end so maybe they wanted to strike while the iron was hot. Not with the actual toy, but at least with the teasing.Their Optimus stems from Chaos Theory, basically MtmtE before MtmtE existed. A year? or so later he also appeared in Autocracy. In both cases his appearance happened ages ago so it doesn't matter much if they announce him now or in a year.Or there are just some problems with Deathsaurus. Personally I want both anyway so not too sad about not all of them coming out at the same time. Have yet to get a Tesarus too.>>8702574Not interested in Chromia but I would totally be into a lot of SDs if they existed. Hope they will do more.
>>8703486If you do, get it soon because once February hits CNY will close everythign down for a month.

>>8703426Shame that Prime gets such cool designs.
>>8703426Small, with weird bumps
>>8703698It's a shame that pexus doesn't have a swappable faceplate and chest guard.
>>8703698Star Saber's sculpt looks like it should be on a figure much smaller.
>>8703698Its more like Star convoy is abnormally huge, especially for the price. Feels like a blown up KO.
>>8702884Thank you for the info, I will see if there are any places like that locally.
>>8703407Hmm, interesting. That means it can also go with the MFT mini-titans like the cheapo Omega Supreme they made a gajillion recolors of. Thanks for the idea, anon.
>>8704228
>>8704224Yeeeeeesss....Sort of.While it's true you could think of it as 1:60 scale, it absolutely dwarfs even Big Powered, which is the largest Dianaut robot from the reboot line.
>>8704228He's gonna look great in Delta Magnus colors whenever they get around to that.
>>8704376Powered Convoy, eh?
Weird. MS Breakdown/Wildrider is already starting to ship in China but MS Prowl is still MIA.
I'd like to start collecting legends scale (or whatever it's called) "G1 MP style" figures. Should I go for NewAge or Magic Square? What are the pros and cons of each?
>>8704489GenerallyNA = More toy accurateMS = More show accurateBut there are exceptionsMS uses nylon for most parts because of .webm, this introduces various nylon-related issues like>Softer details>Hard to paint>Mold-flashNA keeps to usual ABS but they are starting to chuck diecast and LEDs onto their toys. Both companies keep to "That Sunbow Chart" scale, but NA is one size class smaller.MS carbots = ~9.8cm (Hasbro Legends)NA carbots = ~7.6cm (Hasbro Legion)If you're not a scalefag it's not big of an issue.
Despite some of the issues Magic Square stuff can have, it really is nice to have a toy that I just have absolutely zero concerns about breaking whatsoever. Like I have iron factory stuff and some official toys that I worry about grasping too firmly in my hand when I pick them up, but nothing short of a hacksaw will break a Magic Square toy. It's real nice.Fuckers need to make an MP scale Megatron though.
>>8703486you want to make sure the seller is legit, and usually digging through their inventory and seeing if there are any figures that DEFINITELY should not be in inventory anywhere. Also refunds go through most of the time.So go for it. Quality is usually about on par with what you are paying for.
>>8695753
>>8703426Disappointingly small?
>>8704489Magic Square are legends sized. They boast some clean robots, great engineering with a ton of articulation. Their material is a nylon sort of finish that is obscenely strong and hard to break but at the cost of "soft" sculpt, molded flash on the detailing, and less flashy paint. There have been some issues with tolerances in their earlier works and some wonky head sculpts. They hit it out of the park with releases like their Prime and Megatron though. New Age is Legends -1 sized so they're a little smaller scale than MS, near legion sized. They are detailed, built, and painted obscenely well. Their head sculpts for the size are phenomenal and they tend to include a lot of accessories with their releases. Generally they also include a lot of articulation and have fun engineering but skirt a little bit away from strict accuracy for the sake of a better functioning toy. For example, their Datsuns and Jazz have head flaps and stouter proportions than what you would see in Magic Square's strict cartoon style. They tend to shit out every repaint imaginable in very quick succession when they release a mold. Many of their repaints and remolds are ace choices, see their upcoming Galvatron. You can't go wrong with either really. Plus you can mix and match if you aren't autistic about it. It's up to what you want in your set. I went New Age but find myself wanting some Magic Square releases.
Man I don't even know what Seeker this guy is even supposed to be. At a certain point you kind of just stop caring.
The semi-transparent plastic looks really cool and the lightning tampographs are really well done. They even bothered to tampograph the little wing clips to complete the pattern, even though the details on them are tiny.
It's a little odd to describe how the plastic looks in person, it's got this cloudy or milky look to it. It actually reminds me of the same kind of mixed plastic parts they used for the deep sea bionicles in 2007/8, though it's a uniform mix.
This thing is so fucking coated that even as a physical product it still gives off this feeling of looking like a render to me.

>>8704931>>8704943mind the $200 is for the DX version which comes with more stuff. The reg version is $129.
XTB need to post pics of every mode in a complete solicitation, and FT need to formally announce the Apache reissue. For fucks sake I just want to pick one and buy it.
>>8705238Get Saltus.
>>8703698What star convoy is that?
How's Planet X's Seeker mold? I kinda want their Sunstorm as he's in stock at my retailer of choice and we're unlikely to get a better CHUG scaled Sunstorm any time soon.
>>8705278MMC Stellarus prominon
>>8701228At 12 inches tall it' s big and great looking. As a stand-alone piece or paired up with the Weijiang Megamaster oversized Megatron it makes for a great display piece. But it scales a little awkwardly with normal car MPs. Although it has to be pointed out that his truck mode scales perfectly with MP car bots in car mode
>>8705553Pic shows mpp-10 truck with normal mp wheeljack car
>>8705558
>>8705553Oh dear god was MP Ironhide always so bad?I've had mine boxed away for about a year now and I guess I'd forgotten just how awkward he looks.
>>8705579I'm pretty used to how he looks with any upgrade kit on him. The hip panels are really stupid, I forget about them sometimes.
>>8705579>>8705591If FT or MMC made and released their own Ironhide I'd replace him in a heartbeat.
>>8705600MMC Maybe, I don't imagine a FT Ironhide would be much better than the MP though.
>>8705087there is no regular version
>>8705735Just skimmed through the TFW thread. Damn, that's dirty.
Does anyone know when Big firebirds jetformer is supposed to come out? I'm getting conflicting reports for January, February or Early March depending on the site
>>8705839I think its out in the wild in China. I've seen in hand reports on TFW.
>>8695917My only fear is that between Primal and Cheetor... TM Megatron's face is going to be bad.
So someone is selling Nicee for $80 on ebay. Any reason to be wary? They sell some KOs.
>>8705897You're not getting a real Nicee for 80$ that's for sure. I'd imagine it's probably a QC reject or something.
>>8705873Primal isn't that bad. The face is inherently kinda ugly in any form and the more 2D look of the face helps if anything. I do feel the sculpts look a little too soft, especially side by side to the originals..but I guess its show accurate since the show models weren't entirely as crisply detailed as the toys. I think hats also why Cheetor's face looks odd. Bereft of the lighting the face doesn't look as detailed
>>8705911>>8705897KOs of Nicee don't exist yet, but I'd imagine they are pretty high up on the list for the bootleggers due to the 1 run release.
>>8704809I think it’s intended to be Ionstorm, the blue rainmaker.
>>8705937>I do feel the sculpts look a little too soft, especially side by side to the originalsSame. Improved, modern engineering, but the sculpts could be a little better.
>>87061053P Beast Wars definitely have growing pains. Show accuracy to older CGI means they can dance around limited textures but even then there's some amateur looking edges to the sculpts from Transart and Jiang Xing so far. Still I feel obliged to support it because they're still decent and I'm not sure when these transmetal designs will be touched again.
>>8704931>>8705087I mean, >>8701433 the flight stand is good (both as an inclusion, and not just being another thing of clear plastic), weapons are good, and having good face options of course is nice. Maybe a total of 5 or 6 is a bit excessive if the expressions aren't distinct enough from one another. But the inclusion of the whirling propeller effect is XTB once again missing the mark for what they think their customers want. Plain and simple, that piece for a large majority is just going to sit in the box, or a bag, or a drawer, or similar. They're also being exceedingly coy in terms of pictorial representation. They recreate their solicitation for him at something like $50-60 more than what was initially thought to be, but at the same time only do it providing two images of his helicopter mode. Now we get to see....the box.I feel like I'm spoiled from how Fans Hobby does this process. They take a few days in a row and showcase one aspect of the figure on each day; most notable recently being Armada Prime. And they do it like this consistently enough that if you see them post one sort of gallery on one day, that you'll have an idea of what to expect over the next couple.
>>8705839It came out in China last month but BFB ceased the distribution about a week after due to complaints on design and QC issues. It's supposed to resume distro around now, check their weibo.
>>8695809I like how he just completely glosses over the articulated trail like it's not impressive.
>>8704802I'm sticking with NA fit the most part but after picking up their Prime (Nemesis flavor) to see what they were about, it's easy to see the appeal. Won't switch over to them because I still overall prefer NA's aesthetic but I'll probably grab a release here and there for characters I like. For example, I couldn't resist POing their DX Megatron. Skipped the base release because those flat toon colors aren't my speed but paint it silver and I'm game. Also, for the sake of comparison, I grabbed their MP Prime (Magnus flavor this time) and holy shit, why don't they do more of this? MS could make bank by catering to legends collectors and MP collectors with very little extra engineering work. Despite having nearly the same transformation, their MP Prime still manages to be impressive and just goes to show you don't need obscenely complicated transformations for an MP to be satisfying. All you need is for it to be clean and intuitive. Not to mention, from the videos I've watched of their Megatron, it seems like they could be the first company to actually provide a good MP scale G1 Megs if they gave it the same treatment as Prime and upscaled it.
>>8701461He needs a new figure that turns into his unused altmode.
>>8706629Looks like a stylized version of Hardheads vehicle mode.
Apparently FT is reissuing their Springer. Check your retailer of choice.
>>8706870>XTB wants to do $200?>We'll do $200
>>8706953I got it for 130 years ago. 90 with ebay bucks. Good times.
>>8706958Yeah, the best I could find was one of TFSource's old original listings for Apache at $140 (I normally depend on how TCP basically archives every release as its own listing to be able to do price history checks like that). I got Saltus on his 3rd run, and even that was only $150 (up from the $140 and $130 of the previous ones).

>>8707014You too big boi
Peaugh's IF EX-44 review was uploaded.https://youtu.be/uCVTRA9mj9c
>>8707057I enjoy his reviews for the most part, but he really has a tendency to meander.
>>8707089That's actually why I like putting him on while I'm doing other work; it's pretty chill background noise too
>>8707057Holy fuck, 9 mins in and he just started to transform the fucking thing.
>>8707089>>8707107>>8707185I installed the Video Speed Controller extension for my browser. It comes in handy for a lot of videos when the reviewer is just blabbering on about nothing. I usually play Peaugh's reviews at 2.5x speed (and still manage to understand him since he's a bit of a slow talker anyway). If he actually covers something interesting in the transformation I might slow it down.
>>8707346I just arrow-key through the bs, I watch enough foreign language reviews that I don’t really depend on the narration
>>8707057It's a surprisingly involved transformation with some cool tricks to hide the wheels in the feet and torso.

>>8707372That's pretty freaking cool, wish they had done something like that instead of Minimus.

So let's say IF does do a Diaclone repaint of Giant Magnus what do they do with the white and green guy?
>>8707751not include idw cancer
>>8707751Probably just not include it. I liked the Alpha Trion repaint Takara did with LG Ultra Magnus though, it would be fun if IF did the same thing.
>>8707755it would be fun if they retooled it with an inner convoy and did anyway with all the fuck ups idw introduced over the years
>>8707751Roller
>>8707751>Make IF Magnus and a few repaints>Package them all with a different colored ambus>Make white prime a retool of ambus>Sell him separately or bundle him with an unrelated figure

>>8707887Fuck I hate that I literally just want the Minimus.
>>8707939You won't have a hard time trying to find Minimus Ambus loose, or even just finding someone to split the package with.
>>8707751Repaint him as a Diaclone figure obviously.
>>8708105Aw if they repainted/remolded him into a dianaut that would be amazing
>>8707751make him black and blue and remold the head
>>8706870So ToyDojo has updated their listing to OOS, TCP has removed theirs entirely, and same seems to be the case with BBTS. TFS still has it, but at an additional $10 over the others ($20 over BBTS' $190 listing).
>>8708279DX9 is just really dull in sculpting all around.Especially so when next to XTB.
>>8708326DX9 = Modern MP aestheticXTB = MP10 era MP aesthetic
>>8708352DX9 has way too much bare plastic to be nu-MP aesthetic. And the paint it does have isn't pastel colour and flaking off.
>>8708352I don't collect Modern Takara since it's typically too cartoon accurate for its own good but I can't say that the sculpting is dull.I can say that Takara lacks sculpt, but the sculpt the toys do have is very sharp.
>>8708352No DX9 are blown up chugs. I bought their Breakdown and nothing impressed me about him at all. Esp for $99.
