>>8669086I think the lockdowns are making us crazy, and doll collectors aren’t mentally stable to begin with
Protip - when considering whether or not to purchase a doll, always look at the in-box photos rather than the prototype. The in-box photos are almost always the final product, which is what you’ll actually get.
I made a short survey 'cuz I'm curious about you dorks.https://freeonlinesurveys.com/s/Of4bvM8O https://freeonlinesurveys.com/s/Of4bvM8O

>>8669180What will you believe
>>8669180>Do females actually go on /toy/ and talk about dolls or are you all gay males? For the 500th time yes there are females and straight men here. There’s an unironic misandrist who calls men “scrotes”, a full-blown tumblr SJW, and that one Disney autist who obsesses over Princess Jasmine. You know how guys get annoyed when women are like “yes I am a girl and I play video games”? That’s exactly how I feel when I see anons on /toy/ be like “yes I’m a guy and I collect dolls”. Literally nobody gives a shit if you have a certain set of genitals and simultaneously partake in a certain hobby, don’t be an attention whore. I promise that you are not the only straight man in this thread so stop fucking asking.
>>8669091Oh relatable

...can we just talk about our hobby please with no politics?i just bought this bratz. i want to get into monster high dolls too, i like the articulation and themes. which lines are your favorites?
>>8669214Monster High is my top favorite, I was so happy to get one of my grails this year, the SDCC Wydowna I also enjoy collecting vintage Barbies, I should be having a doll and her outfit arriving today, so ill try and post it before heading to work I also enjoy OMGs
>>8669230>this yearLast year* I mean
Lol, I just found this doll I used to play with as a kid. I always thought she was meant to be a mom of triplets but I guess she was just a babysitter.https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/barbie-babysitter-skipper-doll-497589606
>>8669230im happy for u anon. picrel is my holy grail, the mattel winx club enchantix dolls. especially flora. too bad theyre rare as fuck and go for hundreds, if not for thousands of burgerbux
>>8669249If it's any consolation they look like they'd be shit out of the box. Those thin rubbery legs suck.
>>8669290The set would look bomb in box on a shelf though
>>8669230Happy for you. I'd love to get my hands on Wydowna myself one day.
>>8669214Most of the early lines are great. Hell, most lines up and including Scaris were great. The second signature line/Back To School was one of my favourite everyday fashion line. I also really liked the Classroom dolls, with the Cleo&Ghoulia set and Abbey&Heath set.A great later themed line was Ghoul du Chic circus one. Bloom&Gloom was a small, but gorgeous line. The Zombie Shake 2packs were also brilliant.
>>8669249I have the Flora and I've been thinking abt selling her tbqh.
>>8669207Haha, sorry anon. I don't actually know how to into surveys. I'll post results in 3 days or whenever the next thread is posted.
>>8669290no they look awesome if you ask me. i used to own each of the girls (a different line than enchantix tho) but can't find them now.
>>8669340no way!! how much would you sell her for? they are seriously worth a lot especially in the box.

shinkifag from like four threads ago hereTurns out, I had some liquid stitch stored somewhere. What's the best way to apply it?
Went to Target this morning & managed to find two Kia Harts left. As you can see, I ultimately caved in & bought her, but she will most likely be my last Rainbow High doll I’ll buy this year. She’s cute and I like how they took Stella’s beauty mark to put it on Kia, but I’ll definitely have to change her clothes once I decide if I want to take her out the box or not. And yes, she is selling for $40 plus tax at my Target.
>>8669829Why is she so expensive
>>8669871Wish I could tell you. She’s being pushed as an “exclusive”, but that’s all I know. I’m not too familiar with how MGA release dolls, especially when they have not been properly introduced into the YouTube show yet.
>people still think there is only one racist anonwhat am I, chopped liver? I miss one threadPS: theres more than one, I've counted at least three. Holla at your boys
Doll came in today! She's lovely and so is the outfit, but the outfit came without shoes and honestly I'm having trouble figuring out what shoes would work for her since the tights make her feet too big to fit into any shoes I have on hand
>>8670111Oh and my Christie doll has a proper outfit now
>>8670111oh! very nice. reproduction? silkstone?
>>8670132Reproduction, she came nude but if I had to guess I'd say she was originally the Enchanted Evening doll
>>8670129nice! she needs some accessories,
>>8670151She does, Im not sure what to pair her with
Does anyone know any good doll centric YouTube channels they don’t mind sharing? I liked watching a thousand splendid dolls but they’re on hiatus after getting too many negative comments. Do you guys know any similar channels?
>>8670129Oh, I love that
>>8670183I personally like to watch:>beautyinsideabox>JeffreySteinmanReviews>TheDollCircle>arpilgrim (Muñecas, Poupees, and Dolls)>PoppenAtelierI also sometimes watch greatbigtoybox/nexjen but she's sometimes a bit muchthey all post pretty regularly
>>8669745The bottles are always too unruly for me, I use a shitty little detail brush and go over the edges, but do it like with the side of the bristles so it forms an X, if that makes sense?
>>8670321Oh I'm a dumbass, I thought you were talking about fray check. Never a bad idea to use it though!
>>8669829I don't see how or why this basic, average, ultra tanned RH doll is priced at $40. So all you have to do to jack up the price is slap the words "Special Edition" on the box?
>>8670492>Campaigning for the cancelation of fellow anons because they don't agree with your views on what modern day dolls should look like.Discord, twitter, and pleddit posters are garbage.
>>8671011My guess is because the outfit and hair quality seems better than average RH doll, the whole look seems to have a lot of extra detailing put into it
There's the lol furniture packs of the upcoming serie 4 omg dolls, we can see their lil sisters
>>8671085There will be new box design too, this is a prototypes that was leaked back in october so the art is a placeholder, the comfirmed name for the omg are sweets and spicy babe
>>8671048Just saw a video that explains why the price might be so high. She was originally supposed to be part of an expensive play set called "The Color Chamber", but retailers didn't want to buy the doll play set, probably due to the play set box being too big and taking up too much space on shelves. The original playset would have cost over $60, and MGA got stuck with thousands of play sets since it had already had gone into production. So in an attempt of making up for the money loss they trashed all of the cool color changing accessories, put the dolls inside of a standard RH doll box, put a pretty yellow ribbon on top of the box. slapped the word "Special Edition" on the box to entice hardcore adult collectors, who go gaga whenever they see the words "Special Edition" on a box and hoped for the best.
>>8671104Huh, crazy
>>8671085Really excited to see what they do with the angel and devil, more excited for goth than pastel but OMG has impressed me with OMGs whose LOLs I didn't care for
>>8671104If its from clawdeena, trash it. i dont trust shit that dumb cunt says.
>>8669417>>8669425These are my favorite. Do you have a blog or site? Hell, I'll even reactivate my Instagram for you.>>8669490Apples and oranges. Get this doll if it makes you happy. It's not exactly comparable to a Kikipop other than they're both supposed to be cute.>>8670129I adore this one. You also have my dream case in the back there. I never seem to find it in any condition other than FUBAR.
>>8671111>If its from clawdeena, trash it.It wasn't Cawdeena. I heard about it in this review video. IS KIA HART WORTH $40??https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqUuIdVkPFs&ab_channel=ZombieXCorn
>>8671104So an early release when it shouldn't have been? Do other companies do this?
>>8671143Kia Hart is supposed to be released Jan 10th, but people are finding them at Target already.
>>8671104I really doubt that, the playset was going to have a uv light gimmick so a pastel doll wouldnt work plus she was clearly designed for spring/valentine, series 2 amaya fit more with the playset since it was supposed to come with white clothes and that would mean that kia was instead supposed to be the pastel rainbow of series 2 but it's just a theory since the playset doll was called alice
>>8664562>do you like RH or OMG better ?RH high all the way. I don't really like the OMG faces much. I do like the OMG body type more, and I also like the way it feels in your hands as a doll. It's curvier and more sturdy. Rubber lick knees do have their issues when it comes to getting cloths on and off easily, but at least you don't have that unattractive knee joint. OMG cloths are sexier then RH cloths. Hell, Na Na Na dolls have more Risqué outfits then Rainbow high which I think is manly due to them coming with sexy underwear and a main outfit that covers the sexy underwear. With RH dolls you just get two different outfits which is also nice.
>>8671257Currently, RH but it is quickly fading.
>>8671257The RH knee joints really are ugly
>>8671273imagine being this autistic
>>8669132I filled it out, but I don't know how accurately. I marked that I collect Barbie, and Marvel/DC, but didn't mark that I collect Star Wars or Disney... however, I buy Marvel, Star Wars, or Disney if they're part of the Barbie line. I only marked Marvel because I've bought more than one Hasbro doll for the clothes, and in the case of the other brands, I only have one or two Disney dolls.
>>8669490Cute packaging, the proportions are nice (I like big hands and feet), but I don't like the face sculpt, and I DEFINITELY don't like that it's a bobblehead. The eyes are kind of freaky too, they have an unearthly fishlike glass-eyed look to them.
>>8669490I found this doll while thrifting, but didn't buy it because the her skin was way too ghost white, hair was too dirty plus she's not on store shelves anymore for trading. I did however find marsha mello and she was in better shape, and my local stores still had her on the shelf so it was perfect.
>>8668298These new Hasbro Princess dolls are pure cancer. Their fucking arms don't even go in and out anymore. They are now limited to up and down articulation.
>>8668203>Pocahontas and Jasmine look more movie accurate now and >not weirdly pale>and not weirdly paleGo fuck yourself. Nobody cares.
>>8671440>Their fucking arms don't even go in and out anymore. They are now limited to up and down articulationI’m ok with less-articulated budget dolls existing for young children but that is disappointing. Also imo I feel like Ariel’s doll in the basic lineup should be her mermaid form, like the Disney Store versions.
>>8671444Alright, we get it, you're racist.
>>8671440I was gonna say at least maybe I can rebody some of their heads--and then I realized that I don't like most of these headsculpts. I think Moana is the only one that got off ok, the others are all pretty weird looking. And I think a few of them have alright faces that are ruined by their hair.
>>8671454Alright, we get it, you're a tiresome screeching SJW. You're the kinda of person who loses his shit if a brown characters doll isn't brown enough, but if someone complains about a white character like Snow White not being white enough you just tell them to "grow up" or to "fuck off". You're a hypocrit.
>>8671444>Go fuck yourself. Nobody cares.A lot of people do anon, for a very long time the nonwhite princesses got the short end of the stick in merchandising. Jasmine and Tiana got less dolls compared to Cinderella/Belle/Rapunzel/Ariel, and Mulan and Pocahontas got even fewer. In fact there’s been a few times where Hasbro designers have wanted to include Jasmine/Mulan/Pocahontas in certain lines but were vetoed by Disney themselves, who “didn’t want to promote those characters at this time”.As a result, dolls of certain characters become harder to find and more likely to be scalped on the secondary market. It was only after inclusivity became trendy that Disney allowed more merchandise to be made of certain princesses. The fact that a billion-dollar corporation made those types of changes to a line of budget dolls (which are for kids who supposedly don’t care about this stuff) is a big deal all things considered.
>>8671461>You're the kinda of person who loses his shit if a brown characters doll isn't brown enough, but if someone complains about a white character like Snow White not being white enough you just tell them to "grow up" or to "fuck off".Not that anon, but I actually like that the Hasbro Snow White dolls are super pale. Even the Disney Store dolls (which are usually the most movie-accurate ones) give her too much of a tan.The person who first posted the stock photos made a comment like “Snow White is too pale“ which is silly. Out of all the issues these dolls have, they picked something that wasn’t one.
>>8671463>Jasmine and Tiana got less dolls compared to Cinderella/Belle/Rapunzel/Ariel, and Mulan and Pocahontas got even fewer.I remember going to the Disney Store back in 2013 when they still had their 17" singing dolls. Pocahontas, Jasmine, Mulan, and Tiana were all in the back of the store on the clearance wall marked down from $30 to $15 meanwhile Ariel, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Aurora were still in the front of the store at full. I asked why, and was told that those were the dolls they have trouble selling. Same thing happened with the Designer dolls. Cast member who knew I collected dolls told me that the Designer couple sets where in the back of the store marked down from $130 to $70. When I went back there all they had were the Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana sets.
Going to local WallyWorld to see if they restocked barbie fashion packs. Doll section was absolutely devastated week after Christmas. Wish me luck.
>>8671463>It was only after inclusivity became trendy that Disney allowed more merchandise to be made of certain princesses. And that's unironically a good thing. When Hasbro got the princess license Mulan and Pocahontas where the first two characters I picked up. Not only did they look nice, but it was the first time in a long time that they were allowed back into the line up.
>>8671518>Wish me luck.Good luck, anon. I made the mistake of going to Walmart the day after Christmas and the doll section looked like it imploded. All the shelves were empty. I still haven't been able to find the Barbie Extra dolls at any of my local Walmarts or Target stores.
>>8671526Weirdly enough my Walmart got in the cheerleader RH dolls just after Christmas
>>8671454This is a racist website. Get used to it sweaty
>>8671526Welp, I came back with only some fruit blind bags. still a waste land. boo.
i used to have these! im a little sad i gave them away. the disney fairies line.
>>8669490I really do like them, but they're too big and have no articulation so I passed
>>8671853They're cute, but I genuinely thought they were Winx dolls until I read your comment
>>8671458The Hasbro Disney Princess dolls have had bad faces from the get-go. These are honestly probably the best ones thus far, sadly. Seriously, even at their worst, the Mattel Disney Princess dolls never reached this kind of low.
>>8671997thats funny because im the one in the thread posting the winx dolls. i think they have the same appeal, though winx dolls have the "real eyelashes" thing going for them.
https://www.bratz.com/?customer_posted=true#Contact_1597652210699wait a second, are we going to get the bratz reboot we deserve? rip my wallet.
>>8670321Like those brushes used for miniatures? Also, should I recycle the threads I got from undoing some of the stitching of the old shirts I found?
What do you guys do when you're not bonding with a doll?I got my first Poppy Parker (which I overpaid for desu) and she arrived today and she's beautiful but I'm just not into her? I usually collect FR so I think the anxiety over not having any interchangeable pieces (shoes, outfits etc.) is also a factor but idk. I wanna sell her. Or trade.Pic semi-related, she's from that collection.
>>8671742I would say half racist, and half honest. The problem is some ultra pc anons confuse what is meant to be an honest comment with racist comments, and they aren't bright enough to be able to distinguish between the two since they are so used to the censorship over on more mainstream sites like twitter, youtube and facebook. Some sjw anons are smart enough to be able to distinguish between a racist comment and an honest comment, but as sjws they don't tolerate any type of opinion that isn't 100% pc.
What's the best kind of outfit to make to test the drape of a type of fabric on 1/12 figures?
>>8672352I would maybe get some fashions for her if you feel that's the issue? Give her like a week and play with her a bit.
>>8672352>"Bonding" with a doll.>Wanting to get rid of a doll less than a day after you get her.>Getting out of your comfort zone and expecting it to be all wine & roses.
>>8672433Yeah, I'm not really sure what people mean when they want to 'bond' with a doll. like TWF it's a hunk of plastic.
>>8672417I was thinking of buying/creating some patterns and sewing a few things up for her. Maybe.>>8672433Yeah, I know. I'm trash, but I do think that bonding is real and not just an excuse made by scalpers. Like when you open up a doll irl and just feel that rush of joy.I didn't feel that with her. It was very.. blasé. I'll sleep on it, but I'd rather trade her for an FR doll perhaps.
>>8672352I dont share this problem with you
Where can I buy some doll showcases for the size of Rainbow High or Bratz? I have too many dolls still in packaging, but I want to keep them free from dust and such.
>>8669435Your work is so cute. What doll is this?
>>8672452"Bonding" with inanimate objects requires a mixture of a person's investment in time, money, and activity with the object in question. See how people bond with their cars, houses, or childhood toys. You can't develop that bond in one afternoon of low energy redressing & posing. Besides, the notion of "doll bonding" got started by the BJD commuinity to justify spending thousands of dollars on hunks of resin that they substituted for friends, family and lovers.
>>8672516Thanks! It's a Holala doll with a 'Pipita' face mold. They're by a Chinese artist. They're kinda pricy but super cute. >https://fairytown.shop/
>>8672523Yeah that's a pretty bitter shitty way of looking at it. I didn't spend thousands on my bjd and I wouldn't need to justify it if I did. You're projecting again anon. Bonding just means doing stuff with the doll and seeing if you really like it as much as you thought you would. Simple as that. It's a cutesy way of saying you don't like whatever you bought as much as you hoped you would so now your selling it.
>>8672452You do not like the doll as much as you thought you might. Just sell it and buy something else you think you might enjoy more. That's the nice thing about integrity dolls. They actually hold their value.
>>8672370>CensorshipWhen will fuckers on the internet realise social media accounts not allowing hate speech or anything else they don't approve of stay up is not 'censorship'. Censorship is when the government stops you from saying or printing something they don't like. Moderation is when you are on a private companies platform and you signed their ToS. Their house their rules, they don't owe you a platform. Both sjws and anti pc tards cannot comprehend this for some reason and think they're being censored. It's ridiculous.
>>8672523>Besides, the notion of "doll bonding" got started by the BJD commuinity to justify spending thousands of dollars on hunks of resin that they substituted for friends, family and lovers.Well shit.
just bought my first MH, it's pic related. fell in love with this gargoyle.

>>8673025Who legitimately cares, don’t be such a killjoy
>>8673044>>8673036Are they collectors or playline? I imagine with the money fountain flowing over at MGA they’re going to look great
>>8673055Not the guy you're replying to, but I care. That mom is scum on several levels. Besides the legal & moral issues of stealing, that mom just let her kid knoe that stealing to get things you want is okay in her book. That's some heavy psychological fuckery to be sure.
>>8673074Oh boo hoo, a mom stole a Barbie for her kid over 20 years ago, how will poor 90s Mattel ever recover

>>8673074>>8672656 hereI stole a duck keychain and got scolded and felt really guilty and never did it again. Also my mom got banned from a grocery store a year or two later when she was caught stealing cigarettes, so she stopped after that.

>>8673101Lmao, I’m not the anon with the cool mom
>i'm not a regular mom, i'm a COOL mom. i STEAL things!yeah... so awesome you can't afford to buy a fuckin doll and you stoop so low to steal it. idgaf about businesses losing money honestly, it's fucking a kid up because they don't understand what circumstances it might be ok to steal, they will just assume they can steal regardless of the situation. its not good for their mental health
>>8673105>girly>not baddiePass.
>>8673106Nah, you're mom's pretty cool, anon. I don't know anyone else who's ready to get gangbanged anytime, anywhere like your mom does.
>>8673114I want to take away your right to free speech. Now.
>>8673105I never really cared for Bratz all that much, but I really did like their outfits, I remember especially liking a winter line of theirs that had so much clothing detail and was so pretty, they also had cool play sets, I remember really wanting a sushi shop set with a working conveyor belt
>>8673114My mom is still pretty cool, but she isn’t the family whore, that’s me.
>>8673036>>8673044>>8673105So what does these new Bratz look like? I'm hoping for My Scene proportions and more articulation. Also, fuck pop-off feet.
>>8673118Oh shit I completely forgot I had this Bratz car at some point, it had a working radio which I thought was the coolest shit ever, thinking back on it how did I not get kidnapped, I drove this thing everywhere
Yo, bitches. Matty here.I heard you bitches be bitchin about how I don't give you a new MtM pale body doll. Well, guess what? Ol' Matty is here to deliver...
>>8673144BOOM! Shaka-laka!How you bitches like that? Another fat pale MtM Barbie doll. And she's a souless ginger just like the last one! You bitches better be thankful I do these for you. Like blowjob thankful. But only from those of you who are hot chicks. You ham beasts can just give me your money. And stay away from my fridge!
>>8673144>>8673150You really deleted your first post because you thought this was better, huh
>>8673150Also, I just acquired the "Spirit Riding Free" doll license. Fuck you, Just Play! Anyway, expect less articulation, more molded on clothes, higher MSRP and a clear stand coming out of a horse's ass because who the fuck can balance a doll on a horse?
>>8673118i have all the tokyo playsets kek i bought them on ebay in middle school, that one was a lot of fun to play with!>>8673123i had the blue one and the pink one released in the 2010s. love the style of bratz' cars.>>8673121https://www.bratz.com/im guessing these pics may or may not be some kind of sneak peek? i already recognize some of the pieces the dolls are wearing as old clothes from old sets though so maybe i'm mistaken.they have had a couple articulated dolls but i'm hoping for more. i like the pop off feet and plain old proporitons personally. i want to see some high quality shit that is somewhat of a nostalgia throwback to pre 2010 bratz. and actual cool lines like the campfire or pretty'n'punk lines were AWESOME, not that #selfie and #emoji shit they kept putting out. i never understood that, thought kids under 13 were against being on sites like instagrams ToS anyway. i wanna see the bratz doing fun shit out there, just chuck a stupid smartphone in the box as an accessory if you need them to be "on trend" so bad. i want the edgy fashion back too! not the puritanical bullshit from 2010s that made me gag looking at the newer bratz.
>>8673153Don't know what you're talking about. You're babbling. But you're a grown ass woman still playing with dolls and I'm Matty, a world renowned billionaire who makes money off of people like you. So why should I care what you say?Anyway, here's what I got my former Monster High wage-slaves working on to be the next big Enchantimals type hit. I call this line, "Hello Kitty is putting the tip in, but immediately pulling it back out."
like i had 6 of these girls and no idea why, i ended up giving them away. no accessories in the box, boring plain outfits for the most part, nothing really setting the girls apart physically besides skintone. i really fucking hope we get interesting lines, like Fashion Pixiez, Treasures, Genie Magic... wanna see them doing fun stuff and have loud, unique outfits with different hairstyles.not. this. bullshit. again. (pic related)
>>8673159I’m sure the newer Bratz will have some edge to them, MGA has more balls and money these days than those sad emoji days
>>8672715Yeah and you being on a privately owned platform obliterates that. You agree to their ToS. You do not have a right to free speech while useing said platform. Therefore, when they kick your ass off you are not being censored.
>>8673166What is the point of your senseless babbling? You're in a doll thread bucko, we know Mattel sucks. You're just rehashing shit in the most obnoxious way possible.
>>8673172Ideally it’ll be a more character driven version of what we see with OMGs, with the well detailed outfits and fun hairstyles
>>8673181Oh, so now you bitches are bitching about me, Matty showing them all my new dolls out of the goodness of my heart? What a bitch.Just for that, I'm cancelling the next wave of your precious BTS boy band doll line. It had 20% more faggotty than the first wave. That should have gotten your Fujoshi panties wet. . But no, you've gotta be a bitch and now I'm going home and taking my gay K-pop dolls with me.
>>8673198Just look at this! You could of had a Micheal Jackson dressed Korean fag doll who flashes secret NAMBLA hand signals. But nope! If you can't appreciate what I give you, bitch, then you can fuck back off to that bobble head doll cult of yours!
>>8673198>BTS boy band doll lineMattel has made some odd business decisions lately. If Kpop fangirls collect dolls it’s custom-made BJDs, not mass-produced playlines.
>>8673091Me, absolutely me>t.lesbianThey're pretty femme looking for hockey lesbians though. Which I love, gimme that good masc-femme contrast.
>>8673210>>8673198I actually don’t hate these tops >>8673213To be fair Kpop fan girls are insane and many will collect anything with their favs on it
>>8673210Fuck it, I'm so mad that I just got off the phone with Warner Bros and cancelled our new wave of Harry Potter dolls. I know I'm gonna piss of my stock investors, but it worth it to fuck over you whiny, pathetic doll bitches. And look who was in this wave...Severus "Always" Snape!I can already hear your vagina drying up from the lack of Severus' snake oil lube, bitch! And besidesSnape, there were other cunt destroyers in this wave like Older Harry, Hagrid, and that guy who went on to become Edward from Twilight! There's nothing that you have that I can't take away from you! Because I'm Matty, bitch!
>>8673221Well maybe you should have shut your whiny little friend up before she upset the great & powerful Matty. Because if you did, then you'd have All-American Korean poofer to shlick to! But no, it's too late. I already called the factory to have the molds destroyed. That whiny bitch was the straw that broke this camel's back. Enjoy you two non-Matty made shitty doll lines with nothing but water headed baby dolls!
>>8673243This one and the black and pink one have been sitting in my local Barnes and Noble for months now and are 50% off, I am tempted to get them just for the outfits
>>8673243But Matty is not a totally heartless doll god, so I'm throwing you doll collecting bitches a bone. Have more fucking camping Barbie dolls. Now in that brown color that all you bitches love, but the kids don't. And another fucking dog. Bitches love dogs.
>>8673249It's a bootleg. Don't buy it. It was made with radon in a factory that processed peanut shells. B&N is a hotbed for counterfeit goods. Only buy Mattel dolls from Mattel endorsed retailers. If it don't have the Matty seal of approval by the front door, don't buy there!Back to the matter on hand. Despite you all being a bunch of pathetic woman-childs, I've heard your comments in the last thread about liking old 50's Ken head sculpt. So I ordered my peons to re-sculpt it, but also update it to appeal to today's modern youth! And fuck you if you also bitch about this one, because it was made for the hip, cool kids of today, not for you old frumpy hags!
>>8673270And don't think that I, Matty have forgotten you male doll collectors out there! Look, I knoe what you coomers want, so I made a doll that's straight to the point. A Barbie dressed in nothing but a towel, with a sink and toy. Now you can pretend you're peeping on Babs taking a shit, all the while grabbing your genitals. You disgust me and you're welcome.
>>8673270ur having too much fun doing this anon
>>8673284Last doll that I'm going to showcase to all you ungrateful bitches is a big one. It's the 75th Mattel anniversary Barbie. She comes in black and only black. Not joking. This doll is the new start for My vision of Barbie going forward. From now on, Babs will only be black. No more white skinned, blonde Babs for you Neo-Nazi bitches. And don't you dare bitch on this too, because I will slap you with a racist card so hard that your Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Pintrest, and 4chan gold accounts will feel it, if you get my drift. So I hope you're proud of yourselves, you internet hags. You've forced me, Matty, to give you less gay dolls and more brown dolls. Why do you make me hurt you so?Oh that's right. Because you're a bitch, but I'm a bastard.
>>8673284I like that whale cup
>>8673301This doll comes in white blondie tooI actually really love the top with the big sleeves but I hate the bottom and the giant bow
>>8673303Not true, I cancelled the blonde one because you bitches wanted more diversity. that's what I hear all the time from your Twitter Sheets and Face Pins. "Whaah! More POC! Less white male depictions of beauty!" So I said "fuck it" and made the decision to just go all black from now on. It'll be nice to hear no one bitch about Barbie, lest they be called a racist. Also, the 75th Barbie is trans. I know you can't know because all Babs dolls aren't anatomically correct, but that's what we at Mattel are promoting her as. Yes, all our Barbies are now going to be trans. Ken dolls too. Female to males all of them! Don't fucking dare deny their gender fluidity, bitch! THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED.
>>8673316kek, based
Aaaaannnd, this general goes right into the shitter. I’ll see you in the next one.
>>8673294I mean, at least someone finds it entertainingEven if he is only entertaining himself
>>8673337Oh no! Are we not talking about how great OMG & Rainbow High dolls are? Are we not drinking enough of the MGA kool-aide for you? I'm so sorry! Don't hit ass on the screen door while leaving!

>>8673233>I just got off the phone with Warner Bros and cancelled our new wave of Harry Potter dolls. You can't even buy those Harry Potter dolls in stores anymore. They released the first wave of characters and then every other wave became an online exclusive.
>>8671444glitter and molded on what hell is this
>>8672433>>8672444It’s that feeling of excitement and joy when you finally get your grabby hands on the doll, when you “ooh” and “aah” over how lovely they are, when you can’t wait to pose/photo/dress/display them. Sometimes it’s a doll you were looking forward to, but sometimes it’s a doll you didn’t think was that interesting until you actually had them. And sadly, sometimes a doll you thought you would love just isn’t clicking with you when you finally have it.>>8672352Try re-dressing her and posing her. Give it a couple of days and pick her back up again. If after a few days you still don’t feel her, sell her. No point keeping a doll you aren’t feeling.
>>8673353>>8673395Just because they’re writing out shitty role play doesn’t mean this isn’t the same usual muh black dolls muh whiteys shit spiel that clogs every fucking thread.
>>8673014Two, actually. The pirate one and the flower-dance one. Sorry, can’t be arsed to remember the reboot line names. Anyway, they weren’t terrible but they weren’t good either. All her OG dolls were lovely, though.
>>8673198>>8673210... Um, you do know both of those dolls came out, right? I’m not even into Kpop, but I bought both off a clearance sale because the clothes are detailed and the bodies are NuMH male ones, which are great twink bodies.
>>8673423Too bad their bodies were so low quality. The articulation was there, but the plastic and joints just weren’t.
>>8673714This.I've seen so many people post cute pics of Poppy in my FB groups, but I just don't vibe with her. It doesn't help that the high-heel foot mold is so stupendously rare in Poppy so she doesn't even have shoes, and I don't collect Silkstones so I don't have Silkstone shoes, either.I'm thinking of trading her for an FR because FR are less popular than Poppy. It may not be a worth-it trade when it comes to the marker, but fuck the market.
>>8673502No, she's clearly pale when compared to the other mtm dolls in this wave. And yeah, she's almost the same doll as the last fat pale mtm doll, only ginger and not a dirty blonde.
>>8673720Ah right. I actually have both of them (although I got one of them in a cheap lot of dolls), but I keep forgetting Shriekwrecked is also reboot because I actually quite like that one. She's not as good as the pre-reboot ones, obviously, but she's still cute enoughThe Party Ghouls one is just all around bad though, but at least I got an extra pair of wings I could repurpose for a different Rochelle from her
>>8674123>keep forgetting Shriekwrecked is also rebootThats because it doesnt FEEL like a reboot line. It was actually good
what the fuck is going on? what ever happened to just chillin and talking about dolls? Now it's just mattel this and politics that. jeez, I just wanted to post the fucked up finger puppet integrity toys is trying pass off as a dog
>>8675197what the FUCK integrity. I love it for how stupid it looks but oof
>>8675197Lemme guess... They're asking $49.95 for this dog.
>>8673757Not that it really matters, but this doll is actually a lot paler irl than the stock photos
>>8675197Okay I actually laughed upon seeing this "dog"
>>8675197Autistic anons happened. Btw, that dog is hideous.
>>8675197Looking like Cousin Itt
>>8673757I do not see the reason why a girl would feel less to play with a beautiful slim white doll with large breasts? Do you feel less? They are just a damn toys! we are going to end up normalizing the UGLY and FAT, then we will end up being a society full of people who will look like pigs in the future
>>8675609>we are going to end up normalizing the UGLY and FAT, then we will end up being a society full of people who will look like pigs in the futureI hate derailing the thread more, but damn am I concerned about this. Maybe not just with dolls, but with so much fat positivity stuff. Coming from a man who has been at different sizes, no matter how much media told me I was fine for being overweight, it didn't make people attracted to me. I'm worried we're going to be so concerned about hurting feelings of those who don't take care of their bodies that everyone's going to turn into these sexless, sterile cows, whose only escape in life is food and substance abuse.
>>8675640These dolls aren't even fat, they're rectangle shaped, its funny that they're considered "curvy"
Why didn’t Creatable World sell very well? Serious answers only
>>8675932>Creatable Worldprobably because theyre a bit pricy and the clothes are pretty bland, theres not really a strong gimmick besides the wigs which isn't exciting to kids
>>8675932Two things overallToo plain, the concept was neat enough, I like the idea of a doll set that lets you create a character, but the clothes were all pretty boring and the dolls themselves were uninteresting, the wigs were really shitty tooAnd I imagine parents didn’t really vibe with the whole concept of a doll that can be both or neither gender
>>8673757she's more tanned than the pale mtm.
>>8675932>Creatable WorldWe're a long way away from gender neutral toys really being a thing. I promise I'm not anti-trans, but I also don't want to actively encourage my children to never procreate. Many parents don't want to encourage their sons to throw on wigs, or their daughters to feel bad about their sexual characteristics.
>>8675640I doubt you have to worry about that, anon.Fat positivity/HAES is a pretty niche thing, and it's waaaay drowned out by instagram fitness trends.Pic unrelated.
>>8675953That doll on the left is heckin cute, anon
>>8675953What’s the doll on the left looking at? She looks suspicious...
>>8672636Ooh congrats, MH is my absolute favorite!
I'm pissed as shit. Walmart just got in the cheer RH dolls, but we still havent gotten any Poppy or Jade dolls from wave 1. literal shelves of ruby and violet with the odd skylar and maybe 6 sunny total in the months they've been here. And to buy poppy and jade is ridiculously expensive online.
>>8675932I think most people thought they were too expensive for what you got. I did pick some up from target when they were like $7. The clothing actually isn't terrible quality but some of the pieces are real gaudy. The dolls themselves are mediocre but have decent articulation. But the hair/wig thing is AWFUL and as expected the face printing sucks. For a package with the doll, wig and couple clothing pieces I'd pay $15-20 max
>>8675932Clothes were amazing (quality wise) but pricing was insane and dolls were shit quality
>>8676765They actually got three complete outfits that's more than rainbow high so under 20$ is just not realistic even if there're bland dolls
>>8676765For me the only thing that is worth a little of these dolls is the clothes, the mold is unique for all of them, they just change the color and voilà... another RH doll , and I am not convinced by the proportions of their bodies, that is, what are they? 5 year old girls dressed as whores? or fashion goblins? what the hell?
>>8676890i am a fashion goblin
>>8675932Price. They were stupidly expensive. Yes, the clothes were good quality and the dolls had good articulation, but the sets needed to be smaller, if they could not offer that many clothes for a better price point. Also, while the clothes were nice quality, they were pretty boring. I really don’t think the gender neutrality was the reason for the failure. If the price was ok and the outfits suitably flashy, kids would had probably been pretty into dolls that can be a girl or a boy depending on the scenario they are playing.
>>8675640Body positivity is about treating people with respect regardless of size not about attraction
>>8677192>Body positivity is about treating people with respect regardless of sizeYeah na, I’m not gonna respect an obese person’s poor life choices
>>8677217Lets be real, you'll shitpost behind a computer screen about fat people but you'd never say anything to their face would you?
>>8677231That's why we're here lmao to post shit takes anonymously
>>8677231People can try to be the best version of themselves and not rest until they achieve it, these new dolls only teach you to conform and that you must accept your ugliness and obesity by sitting and drowning in your room, when in reality you can overcome that, no for others if not for oneself and work to achieve it
>>8677257It's not that deep dipshit
>>8676890They look nice when they're actually wearing clothing, CoomerAnon.
>>8676890The Rainbow High body is literally just a knockoff minifee body shrunken down to 1/6th scale and given a mutant head lol.>>8675932It was the price and the fact that they took up so much shelf space and also because my local stores never knew where to display them so the right customer never even saw them and it was constantly moved around. Also, just like every other non Barbie Mattel doll, the stylisation was fucking awful. The massive heads and feet basically made the dolls impossible to display with your other dolls, but they were bland and too blank to justify starting a whole new collection based purely on them. Their downfall was being too much of a blank slate, cuz i never felt compelled to buy more than one since the only thing that made me get my first was the fact I liked all of the clothes included. The fact that the others' clothes didn't interest me at all made me pass up on them cuz there was nothing special about the dolls themselves. Also the fashion packs sucked ass since Mattel is so braindead and can't do limited palettes none of the pieces truly could mix and match cuz everything clashed.Add to that the wigs were fucking disgusting, and the short hairstyles were often riddled with issues too.So if I could fix the brand:-proper 1/6th proportions that matched with Stacie or Skipper-have the doll come with one extra outfit and a smaller box rather than 3 and charge $15-$20 instead-fashion packs that came with a neutral item like a pair of jeans or a white t shirt and crazy bottoms so you have more mix n match possibilities-ditch the wigs and just sell dolls with either short or long hair or do swappable heads instead of wigs-different face paint on each doll so you feel more drawn to buying more than one-don't even market it as "gender neutral" but just focus on the brand as fun fashion play and don't draw attention to the fact the dolls aren't gendered like how Pokemon games do it nowadays
>>8677466Also Kim Culmone is in charge of Barbie and forced everyone to make curvy Barbie even though kids said fat barbie was a mistake according to the Tiny Shoulders documentary. So you can thank this pussy power woman for how Mattel is.
>>8677466I think the wig idea isn't awful, just have them come with a long hair wig and a short hair wig
>>8677501Based
>>8677192As the one you're replying to, I'm all for treating people with respect regardless of their size, but that's more of an "anti-bullying" message than a lot of what is out there. Look at Meghan Trainor singing:>Yeah, my momma she told me don't worry about your size>She says, boys like a little more booty to hold at night>And no I won't be no stick-figure, silicone Barbie dollThat's straight up "this is you needing to feel my weight is attractive."Lizzo, who is morbidly obese, is lauded for twerking in a "sexy bikini." Articles have things like "Body image activists caution about glorifying Adele’s new look," after Adele loses weight and gets to a healthy size. Hell, it's even infiltrated 4chan, as one of /fit/'s biggest memes, that not liking "thicc" girls makes you "low T." Yes, it's terrible to be mean to someone because they struggle with weight. It's also a bad idea to normalize being overweight when it's genuinely bad for people's health. And it's also tremendously one-sided. Where's the body positivity for men? Where's the "real men have curves" stuff? Where's MTM "curvy" Ken? Or short Ken?
>>8676724Jade and Poopy from Cheer or the regular line?
>>8677740regular. poppy is the only one missing from the cheer stock
>>8677773We have a bunch of Jades at Target and WalMart down here in Florida. That's odd.
>>8677788I think you may have ended up with all of our Jades, please return them posthaste.
>>8677661Body positivity is simply about accepting someone in their current form and should never be about enforcing an "ideal" body, plus sized women are only so hyped up thanks to years of brutally putting them down, its the result of fat shaming that ultimately encouraged this behavior and trend. While I definitely agree extreme weights should not be encouraged, a healthy body is not always a skinny body, if we want to encourage health then the bullying shaming clearly doesn't work. While its true men don't experience as much body positivity, this is often coming from the same place that fat shames women. Not to mention there aren't as many outlets or industries built on specifically aiming to put down those men as there are for women, especially with the weight loss industry, nor are they as associated with unhealthy habits like bulimia, anorexia and extreme calorie counting, which isn't to say those struggles don't exist for men, its just telling that they are so associated with women. More often men are allowed to live to a lower standard than women, and are not near as ostracized for it, which isn't to say the struggles don't exist, but simply that their struggles do not invalidate, nor are they totally equal to the same struggles of women.
>>8677793NO. My army of Jades will never die. Sorry about it.
>>8676724It took forever for my Walmart to get Poppy and Jade in, and they were put out in a separate isle specifically for holiday toy shopping, right now there's actually only Jade cheerleader dolls left in the RH section of the toy isle.
>>8677794Spoken by a true fat person!
I'm a little sick of the discussion we've had to death, so let's try thisYou know what's a damn shame, the fact that there isn't a Labyrinth doll set with Sarah in her beautiful dream dress paired with Jareth, this is my dream doll set, it lives in my head rent free. What's something you'd love to see in doll form?
>>8677831Okay
>>8677834>You know what's a damn shame, the fact that there isn't a Labyrinth doll set with Sarah in her beautiful dream dress paired with JarethFuck me that sounds positively enchanting, as long as it was the right quality that'd be an instant purchase.I remember when the new Emma movie came out last year I was instantly smitten with the costumes. I'd buy a doll based off of them in a heartbeat. Also incidentally that was the last movie I saw in theaters before covid rip
>>8677834>What's something you'd love to see in doll form?I've mentioned this before, but i think it bears repeating. I'd like to see a Ken doll line aimed at boys, sort of like GI Joe's Adventure team days. Nothing overtly militaristic or violent, Just Ken going on manly adventures. Sea diving for treasure, finding lost tombs, fighting gorillas in the jungle. That kind of stuff. I know Mattel's Max Steele is sort of like that, but Max hasn't been on the shelves for ages and only Latin America was big on Steele.Keep the Ken line at 5poa with simple cloth outfits like the Barbie mainline. We're aiming for little boys who tend to like those cheap 12" figures that are so prevalent these days. The only real changes to Ken would be that his hands could actually grip things and a stern face sculpt that doesn't make him out like pussy as most Ken dolls do. A fun idea is to have Barbie & Ken's yearly themes cross promote one another. Like, when Barbie visits Japan, Ken's kung-fu fighting a ninja clan. Barbie camps out in the national forest, Ken is smoke jumping to fight a forest fire.Just a fun thought. I always wanted a Ken line like this when I was growing up. I wasn't born yet to enjoy the 12" AT Joes in the mid 70's, and I was too old for the Max Steel in the early 2000's
>>8677834I want a doll of these so bad!
>>8675932>Why didn’t Creatable World sell very well?1) They were expensive.2) Instead of striking while the iron was hot, and taking advantage of the hype, and free press created by Mattel's announcement of it's first ever Transgender doll line, Mattel dropped the ball by releasing them as Amazon / online exclusives. By the time they eventually showed up in stores the hype was dead, they were still just as pricy as they were online, and most people felt like it was too little, too late.3) They were child dolls, and with the exception of baby dolls teen dolls are what children manly like to play with because they can pretend that they are teen princesses or cool grown up high school teens through play4) The wigs were visually the main gimmick because it was the main item that visually allowed you to turn them from boys to girls, and the wigs Mattel included failed hard. The wig didn't blend well on top of the rooted hair. It looked bulky and Mattel made it so you could see the odd plastic line at the front of the wig when you placed it on the dolls head which looked horrible, and ruined the illusion.5) While most adults today tolerant / support gays and transgenders they secretly still don't want THEIR child to grow up to be a transgender or gay because most parents dream of having grand children some day, and because they are aware that suicide rates among transgenders is at an all time high.6) A large amount of adults don't feel that it's right to introducing topics like sex and gender to young children. The dolls serve as a gateway to that uncomfortable conversation, and they choose to opt out.7) Most religious groups, and conservatives view transgenders as being abominations, and an outrage against nature itself, and they would never buy their child a thinly veiled transgender doll.
>>8677834The fact that Disney didn't jump on collectible Star Wars dolls and instead went with the creepy weird manjaw "deluxe Leia figure-that's-not-a-doll-but-is-a-doll" and the weird Hasbro line is depressing.
>>8678436>The fact that Disney didn't jump on collectible Star Wars dollsBecause Disney doesn't want to promote Star Wars as a male dominated action blockbuster with beautiful and sexy woman anymore. They've done everything under the sun to revape it to be viewed as a franchise about strong independent female heroines that don't need to look pretty or sexy for the male gaze, and that includes merch, and sadly that also includes dolls.
>>8678402>put long hair on a doll and it's a girl now! When will genderists realize the harm they're doing by reinforcing stereotypesCringe dolls
>>8678523There is nothing male gazey about 99% of Padme's fashions, so I don't know why you're bringing that up. Also, they've made 'slave Leia' merchandise since the Disney takeover. They also didn't promote Rey in merch until people flipped their shit about it since she was a main character yet was missing from the original new trilogy product launches.
>>8678548>put long hair on a doll and it's a girl now!Put a wig, and a skirt on a doll, and YES that makes it a fucking female doll in the eyes of 99.9% of every living human on earth. Welcome to reality. >genderistsPlease lets keep the SJW tumbler words on tumbler, thanks.

>>8678402I don't understand how Mattel keeps utterly failing at wigs nowadays when the Create-a-Monster wigs were overall good back before they killed Monster High
>>8677794I'll only say that men have to suffer through these these issues silently, most of the time. It's funny, we firmly disagree that men are "allowed to live to a lower standard than women." I guess each side thinks the other is living with a lot of advantages. It's probably a constant fight on 4chan, where a lot of guys feel like we have to out in a ton of physical, social, and career work to be considered of value, and women kinda just get to exist. But, I've probably been here too long.I really promise I'm not bitter.>>8677831Don't listen to this guy.
>>8677834I remember being obsessed with this movie and that dress, I got a 1992 barbie and would pretend it was that dress, I would kill for a quality doll version of it

>>8678655>6 photos of the same outfit, one of which isn't male gazey until it's rippedErr, okay. Nothing male gazey about the white outfit with bell sleeves. So that leaves the black leather number with a sleeveless top and one outfit after it's ripped up. So... yep. Like I said, 99% of Padme's outfits are not intended to appeal to men. >Please show one doll or figure of Slave Liea that Disney has put out other than that ONE hasbro figure . . . I'll wait.I didn't say doll or figure. I said merchandise. Here's a handful created after the fake "ban" that got circulated because of social media rumors, and that's just from basic googling with keywords I'm sure there's more if I cared to sift through new merchandise. A new repro figurine was also on a recent Hasbro poll.
>>8677740>poopy
>>8678655Hasbro also literally made a new Padme doll with one of the outfits you've posted as male gazey so that's hilarious.
>>8677834i would love that set, completely agree with you
>>8677834I keep hoping McFarlane will do something. I love their Jareth figurines. Also why Disney (Disney owns this now right?) hasn't jumped on creating a collectible music box replica is beyond me. Take my goddamn money, people.
>>8678977When it comes to looks, I do think men are allowed to live with less pressure. There are other fronts where men have probably more pressure than women (career/professional life being one), but when it comes to looks, the pressure and expectations on women are insane. This is at least in part because the value of women is still largely aesthetic. A fat, balding man, who has been a success in their career is seen as a successful person. A fat, balding woman, who has been a success in their career is a)almost an impossibility, and b)a failure, or at best “well, at least that broad is not as dumb as they are ugly”. The pressure to fit in current beauty standards starts really early for girls. When people want to compliment a little girl, it is about how cute they are. By contrast, boys usually get compliments on being “active” or “brave” or “energetic”. So while there are expectations for both (and for introverted, shy, quiet boys there certainly is struggle with their inability to meet the expectations), expectations of looks are one of the things that girls/women do have to deal with more. It’s not enough to just be of a healthy weight, you also need to have certain body structure, certain facial features, clear skin, styled hair, well-maintained nails, minimal body hair, so on, so forth. Failure to meet any criteria also pretty much renders all the others useless: “She would be really good looking if...” The range of acceptable looks for men is much broader, even by the hardest expectations (for example: hair, facial hair and body hair are a question of personal preference rather than something that can ruin all your efforts.)
>>8679854This, think about the post 'why do boys look so good even without foundation?' it's socialization it's all socialization the physical standards men and women are held up to are not equal women are definitely not allowed to just exist as they are
New barbie accessory pack that include a plastic face mask. Sign of the times I guess
>>8679515yeah, they've sold a lot of merch of him, but never Jennifer.
>>8679425Umm, noOOOOoo, that's not the PROBLIMATIC outfit that shows the middriff. That's the Kick Ass female empowering version of the outfit. It's fucking nothing lol
>>8679425Yeah and that was never actually released
>>8679418A stylized illustration in a story book, and posters aren't dolls or figures. A rare cute stylized non-threatening / non-sexual plushy? A figure set that predates the 2015 black series figure, and Disney Rey films? I'm talking legit dolls specifically aimed at an adult male demographic like the ones in this image.
>>8680418>A stylized illustration in a story book, and posters aren't dolls or figures. And.... what? Do you know how to read? I can't care what you're talking about, because I never said dolls or figurines. I said merchandise.
>>8669180I'm a massive fag
>>8676003Lots of trans people still procreate! Transitioning doesn't necessarily involve HRT/surgery. And even those who do often save their sperm/eggs for the possibility of future kids.I'd also say the last part of your post is a bit of a misnomer. Gender neutrality isn't about encouraging anyone to feel bad about themselves, rather, it's encouraging them to figure out for themselves what they feel good about. Aggressive gendering of products, marketing, etc. really only serves to create these cartoonish stereotypes of masculinity and femininity for people to follow. This may not be what most parents "want," but I'd say that's probably not the healthiest parenting. You should ideally want your kids to thrive and be happy being their best self, whatever that self may be.
>>8680433>Do you know how to read?Yes.>I can't care what you're talking about>I can't care What?>I never said dolls or figurines.Yes, but that's what I'm mainly talking about here in this doll thread. There are no dolls. There are no figures. There are no adult collectables. All the merch you posted in this >>8679418 images predates 2015 which predates the ban.
>>8680462>Lots of trans people still procreate! Transitioning doesn't necessarily involve HRT/surgery. And even those who do often save their sperm/eggs for the possibility of future kids. Not that anon, but what the last guy is referring to is putting children on puberty blockers followed by cross-sex hormones, which will make them permanently infertile. Also it’s still not a good idea to get preggo as an ftm
>>8680557That's a tricky one I guess, especially if you're a parent who wants grandkids. What I've most commonly heard from trans people is that it feels the exact same way to them, like a permanent, irreversible change is being enacted upon their bodies (puberty) against their will.
>>8680557>Also it’s still not a good idea to get preggo as an ftmWhy? There aren't really any increased medical risks or anything. As long as you still have the bits to do so, don't mind stopping hormones for a bit, and it doesn't make you too dysphoric, ftms are perfectly capable of bearing children.
>>8680397I wonder if its a rights issue.
>>8680568So you think undeveloped kids should be allowed to make the decision to permanently cripple their organs so they don't go through the natural process of growing up? Dysphoria is a mental illness and should be treated as one instead of being enabled
>>8680462As that poster, sure, there's an outside chance of them being able to still procreate, but also with a baked in layer of confusion in how they're raised and how things kind of naturally work. >You should ideally want your kids to thrive and be happy being their best self, whatever that self may be.Right, I'm not going to be "mad" if I have a kid that transitions, but it's a dramatically big change in life. Putting a kid on hormones at 7 years old because they think they like dresses and permanently altering the course of their life is very worrisome. You're subjecting your kids to a lot of terrible prejudice, too. I know, it's awfully complicated, but we teach our kids a lot of things that only come with age. When I was 10, I thought I was going to get married to Ami Mizuno from Sailor Moon. When I decided I would tell people that as a 6th grader for the first time out of private school, I got beaten up all the time. I learned liking cartoon characters wasn't worth getting my ass kicked. Same thing with a 10 year old who might have an obsession with high heels. Is it worth getting your ass beat or ostracized?
>>8680696Exactly. If kids developed true cognitive ability and the understanding of consequences at an earlier time before hitting puberty, like it hit at 17, maybe I'd accept it. But removing parts of your body isn't reversible. We wouldn't allow a kid to chop off his hand because he really liked the movie Hook.
>>8680736We also don't encourage anorexics to starve themselves because they have body dysmorphia why don't we apply the same logic to transIf you hate your body to the point of mutilation that is a mental disorder not to mention transing your kid just because he liked to play with dresses just reinforces stereotypes pink girl boy blue absolute hellworld
>>8669081>>8669081Does anyone know of a bjd that fits well into barbie dresses? I have a ton of 90s era clothes that I'd like to use on a different kind of doll, and I also want to dip a toe in bjd collecting, though I guess this is an atypical scale for them.

Disney pls if you are here make a 4-5foot version of this dollPLS
>>8680324That is one confusing pack. Sun screen, sun glasses, beach bag, water bottle... with boots?
>>8681198Oooh, I remember wanting that Living Pretty Bed! Never had any Barbie furniture as a kid.
>>86808080i don't think they're proper bjds (never owned one) but jun planning's j-dolls are a similar scale and may work if you're just looking for that aesthetic? someone who actually owns one can chime in.zodiac dolls were mentioned in an earlier thread and they look like a similar scale as well? but same as above, i don't know that they're bjds per se but they have a similar look.
>>8681417>>8680808fuck.

>>8681417What about Azone Ex Cute / Picco Neemo? They are 1/6 scale and have the anime look, although I think their proportions are different. There's an Azone collector that posts here, I'm sure they would know which ones fit Barbie clothes.
>>8681198>>8681197>>8681195>>8681193>>8681192Literally all I'm asking for is a return to this level quality with the addition of multiple skin tones and hair color. That's it
>>8681465>Happy, innocent dollsWtf does this even mean. They're dolls not real little girls. The modern ones are still smiling and shit. Don't be weird.
>>8681588That was maybe a possibility before they went and pissed off Disney
>>8681591Bab's face has always swung from "resting bitch" face to "sweet & demure" face through the years. The fact of the matter is that the late 70's to late 90's had the "happy innocent" face most collectors here nostalgia over. The 2000's swung hard into "sugar daddy's bitch" face. 2015 swung back to "sweet" faces, but that's also when shit like fashionistas and the general decline of the line began to start for modern barbie. So yeah, 80's~90's was peak Babs in terms of general quality.
>>8681417the Fortune Days zodiac/tarot dolls look like BJDs and are 1/6th scale. they're not true BJDs but they're inexpensive and imo very pretty, plus can share clothes with Barbie and Fashion Royalty

>>8677834>>8682203I think we should get dolls of popstars again the billie one was nice but someone with more Gaga levels of style would be nice
>>8682299>someone with more Gaga levels of style would be niceLady Gaga was going to have a doll line made by MGA but she pulled out after prototypes were made
thinking of collecting barbies extra dolls
>>8682318Actually her team wanted to pushed back the release of the dolls to promoted the fame perfume and mga was not happy because retailers had already ordered the dolls for the fall so they had to refunded them and loose credibility and shelves space
>>8681376It's Dallas Barbie.
>>8682319How they're not in stores and amazon doesn't sell them. You can only buy them through scalpers who are ask double the price which makes it totally not worth it.
>>8681199I bought one of these at full price and then I found a nude one at the thrift store for $8 a year later which was perfect for trading. Now I have two new big punzies. One in the official dress and the other in a small pink fuzzy shirt the thrift store donated to me.
>>8680937Stop moving goal posts, anon. The outfit has been ban since 2015 and you have no evidence of anything being released post 2015 to back up your claims that shes not ban.
>>8680937>>8682975While y'all at it, lol surprise all-stars sereies 3 is out, soccer themed, still 9.99$usd, next beach themed all-star series in april
Also first pics of the omg dance line, same price and gimmick as omg light, choices were made...
>>8683274You beat me to it the top comment on that post was "I've never felt so underwhelmed at an omg doll before" and I agree it feels like they're missing something, b-gurl is probably the only one I'll pick up and maybe virtualle, miss royale is cute tho, major lady is probably my least fave from the set
>>8671085>>8671092At least we still have these to look forward to
>>8683117Some of those are cute! I really do wish you could see which ones you're getting. Not a fan of the glitter hair tho.
>>8683274>same price and gimmick as omg lightSo they'll be $24.99 instead of $26.99 and they'll come with less cloths, but they will include a black light? Not gonna lie. The one with the purple hiar is kinda interesting.
>>8681192Thanks for the pics anon!
>>8682471That's such a shame, we were robbed. Looks like the dolls would have had great articulation.>>8683274Ooh I like that Rococo one.
