What did you Anons buy during double VIP so far?

I got:

> UCS Death Star
> Babby Yoda brickheadz
> x2 Tantive IV
> Bookshop modular

Protip: if you're gonna buy big sets (example - $200 each,) place 2 separate orders so you get twice the GWPs than you would if you placed a single order

Im sure yall knew that, but it doesn't hurt to inform those who don't

DEAD AT 47!

>We are saddened to report that Kirby Morrow, the voice of Armada/Energon Rad and Cybertron Hot Shot has died at the age of 47. An article on Gateworld.net has just confirmed it.

After that, he became Hot Shot’s voice in the Transformers Cybertron cartoon. Besides Transformers he also worked in several other animated productions like Cyclops in X-Men: Evolution, Goku in Dragon Ball Z, and Michaelangelo in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, Cole in Lego Ninjago among other roles. Additionally, Mr. Morrow also participated in live action series. He was well remembered as Captain Dave Kleinman, weapons officer on the bridge of the U.S.S. How do you guys prepare bigger sets like modulars for moving to a new place? I’m really scared about transporting them to an apartment next year though I’m not moving too far from my current place, I should be able to make plenty of trips.
>>
>>8578560
I'd recommend disassembling them and/or just placing them into a box (or in your trunk) during transit - they'll be fine as long as you don't pull some tokyo drift shit on your way to your new place

If you're super nervous, disassemble the sets and put them into ziplock bags

Good old Sheev.
>>
>>8578560
When I moved halfway through the year, I put everything I had on display (including a corner garage) into a big 50 litre plastic tub and packed it in so it wouldn't rattle around too much.

Admittedly it was only a 10 minute trip so there wasn't much chance for the move itself to break stuff, but like >>8578581 said as long as you aren't pulling some fast & the furious moves you should be fine

Right. I got the Ferrari Tributo the other day, and I had to really move the front badge sticker because it wasn't central in the sticker. Part of the issue is the print and cut can often be out of tram with each other, and that's often where I fuck up on sticker application. I'll generally apply them with the aide of a brick tool, as my hands aren't the steadiest, but it does give me the flexibility to apply the sticker right.

But in the cast of a lot of sticker, the edges being off in relation to the print really irks me.

Kmart is cheapest normally but a way limited range and stock is at an all time low, Big W has more stock and a slightly bigger range but their regular prices are higher, though if they have a sale it can be cheapest. Myers is the most expensive at Legos RRP but gets the big box creator expert sets. Honestly Amazon is the best bet since they regularly price match both Big W and Kmart.

EVERY color has problems with cracking these days.
Especially clips, minifigs and 1-stud wide pieces and Lego is actually fully aware of this.
I still wonder why they haven't started moulding clip pieces in a softer, more flexible plastic like the one used for those minifig ladders, even if it's just the studless clip/bar connection-only parts for now like droid/skeleton arms or those flag pieces.
Sure, the clutch power probably wouldn't be as high but still better than having to order dozens upon dozens of replacement parts to the point where the system marks your orders as abuse and you have to go through customer service.

I'm probably going to rebuild the engine exhausts into something a little more accurate, but aside from that? It's really nice. The size doesn't seem too terribly off, but the proportions are a little off on the winglets. I hate to mass reply, but I do appreciate the replies, and you all brought up good points. So I’m for sure getting the battle pack, if only because I regret not getting the mandalorian battle pack last time, and I like their colors.
As for the ship, very mixed replies from you guys and I can see why. Both sets combined set me back almost 140 bucks, which is a lot and honestly, the fact that they have early season mando instead of the right one is annoying, but at the same time, this is probably as close to a series defining set as we’re getting from this show. By that I mean, this is the republic venator star destroyer or millennium falcon of this series. Which I also regret not getting. But idk, should I hold off on the ship until a sale or maybe it gets updated?
>>
>>8580184
I highly doubt it's going to get updated, I think this is the only version of this ship we're going to see
I agree in respect to early S1 mando, but we know already that a full-beskar mando is coming in a reasonably small set next wave, so he can be acquired then.
>>
>>8580197

also dont forget, in star wars no mater how powerful the empire is, no mater how many resources they have, no matter what weapons/ships they have, no matter how cunning and ruthless its movers and shakers are they will always lose over and over again, just look at the last episode of mando, 2 of the scout troopers killed themselves before they even engaged the enemy, when the 3 tie fighters were chasing cara and the others, only one of the TIEs them seemed to fire at a time, i get that for when they are in the canyon probably couldn't get a clear shot but when they moved into an open field they still seemed to fire one at a time
dont get me wrong i like star wars and mando but the empire will always be stumbling idiots incapable of doing even 1/10th what the main characters can do

I know you can store your inventory on Rebrickable, but how would I export that and subtract it from a wishlist on bricklink?

Damn it's almost like the empire has been reduced to nothing more than a one dimensional bad guy to face off against the epic #resistance good guys
>>
>>8580297
Yeah I’m gonna agree with you there, I wish they would get a new enemy or bad guy, like I love the mandalorian restoration idea they introduced in chap 11, and honestly I hope they do more with this idea, end goal being an independent mandalorian space. Maybe the hurt cartel could become the new bad guy, since it fits the theme of the show
>>
>>8580310
Damn it's almost like the empire was never anything more than that outside of side material
>>
>>8580310
Well to be fair, it is just Imperial remnant at this point. I wonder why Gus Fring wants the little yoda guy though.

Out of curiosity, how many adults around here get playsets like this? I never get these anymore.
>>
>>8580370
I did but this is the first one I’ve gotten in years, I figure it’ll look nice with my Christmas stuff.
>>
>>8580370
I only get CMFs and rarely small 10-15 USD sets. I might buy the castle equivalent of Barracuda Bay.
>>
>>8580370
i bought all of the castle sets in the harry potter line, as a kid i had some of the sets from the 1st and 2nd film but never got the castle, so as an adult with extra money i thought fuck it im going to buy them, i tend to stick to smaller sets, bricks and pieces and bricklink orders, i like to build my own stuff but i also like getting different mini figures, ill buy a set like the one in the post you replied to if its on sale and has a nice collection of parts id use for MOCs or if it could MOC it into something to go with my other stuff

I know that feeling. I have five full tubs of unorganized parts. My wife recently bought several containers with dividers to separate my parts and it is not only tedious, but overwhelming. I won't because I'm a Lego hoarder, but the thought comes up every now and then.

I guess it's more of a "to each their own" scenario, but I believe that playing with your Legos is better than exclusively collecting or building display pieces. However, I've never understood the endless worship of Star Wars. Why does it HAVE to be Star Wars? Why can't it be a medieval fantasy or cyberpunk world that you made up? Why is there so little variety in MOCs?

The blue markings indicate their belonging to the 501st legion, the clone detachment that served under Anakin in the clone wars. After order 66 they continued to serve under Vader. They're kind of like the ultra marines in 40k in terms of notarierty and portrayal in media.

So I don't know if this has been touched upon yet, but overall, the new X-wing looks dog shit.

There's certainly elements that are big improvements, but the back is entirely the wrong shape, the wing mechanism looks to be improved a lot, but that's just not looking enough for what it's meant to be.

The Price per Part isn't so unrelentingly shit though, and it's half the price of the original. In addition to that, at least the engine inlets are actually flush with the turbine housings now.

All the Lego X-wings look terrible. The shape of the nose and the front of the fuselage can't be built in a way that's strong enough for lego's toy standards, and that's fine. If you want a more movie accurate x-wing, you have to go custom. I prefer this x-wing to the last one, anyway. At least they're making an effort to bring the price back down closer to what they were for versions of these models ten or fifteen years ago. $120 CAD or whatever the US equivalent is for a toy x-wing would seem too silly for too many parents.

Nice trips. To be fair, I don't think those +$100 X-Wings are made for kids but for adults that want collectable star wars at a lower price point.
