>>8572305Sick base, bruh.>>8572309If this is Exo-Force: The West can't animeme.
Bros the LEGO Europa village is so comfy and I want this timeline so bad.>>8572309Tbh I would guess they could not balance the build without modifying it too much. Back heavy and small, front orient feet is a bad combo
>>8572328>technicsorry, not lego!
One day I will build somthing like this
>>8572338Yeah yeah, let's pretend most modern sets don't use Technic pieces. Now post some brick lewds.
>>8572338Are you retarded or yes?
>>8572342Worst part is I've seen this one already and still no Jay getting his leg holes violated.
>>8572338lol ur gay
Thanks, but I'll wait for the mass produced version of this thread.
>>8572338It definitely is but if you want to be a fucking le ironic readitteur then sure go ahead
>>8572357>Clever use of yellow slopes as spread legs>Benny's face in the background>Emmet holding a lego box set in his hand like the nerd he isI've seen this one months ago, and it's still brilliant.
gave a shot at upscaling this
>>8572343Who do you want to be the top?
>>8572363it just got more blurry :( Do anyone know what kind of underwater base this prototype is? Is it even real?
>LEGO catalog showed up in the mail because I ordered something last year>Flip through it>Pictures of children staring off into space with lego built things photoshopped into their field of view>Lone sets with the price and a short description on a photoshopped background>Sets in the same series aren't photographed together>No scenes made out of LegoThese fucking suck. I hope the europoor ones are better.
>>8572387FUCK me what is this from?
>>8572396I have bad news for you...
>>8572377huh I've never seen this one before.
>>8572363Jeez I finally recognized what we are missing in nowadays Lego. ITS NOT ENOUGH BLOCKY, that makes it look more charming. Especialy those great translucent panels and windshields.Nowdays Lego uses rounded shit which looks way more Toyish.
>>8572410>https://penumbraphantasm.tumblr.com/post/89239288236/jim-spaceborn-masterpostThanks Anon this is wonderfull
Does anyone collect the christmas sets and build a winter village every year?
>>8572377Looks like it's from the same set of scans as the prototype bison.
a prototype spacebike.
>>8572435Just noticed the guy on the left with a kilt and printed shoes and socks
>Ask why people only show off Millennium Falcons on social media>People immediately act offendedFake ass wannabe AFOLs with their one single Star Wars display model.
>>8572448I dont collect oficial sets but I always do special christmas scene
>>8572435>serpent>green rocksI want both.
>>8572491Green BURPs exist thanks to the wind turbine set.
i was hoping for a comfy general , oh well maybe next time , my white whale
>>8572481They are too poor... ON CREATIVITY
I love my lizards!
>>8572498Well clearly if you spend that much money on what is nothing more than a display model, just to show it off on social media for attention and being part of the herd then they definitely have too much money and time and not enough imagination or genuine interest in LEGO.They just want their fellow Star Wars nerds to jerk them off and call them cool.
>>8572499>Solely building and displaying reptiliansPretty cool theme you got there.
>>8571647>>8571654>>8571662Here, y'all. Have my Rex.Googley eyes included for extra wow-factor.
>>8572495Only the bottom part unfortunately, I'd love some green tops>>8572499Didn't think I was going to get jealous today, but that's a sweet ass display Anon
>>8572502>>8572508Thanks anons! Show me your builds!
>>8572504Love your builds anon. You are the one with Mexican one right?
>>8572463Also never released corner wall panel with window!
>>8572481>>8572498Admittedly, I am a poorfag and couldn't afford one but I agree it is triggering and I think it's more complicated like you describe. People are like "My first LEGO model since I was a kid!" Guaranteed to end up in pieces in storage gathering dust, or be sold on ebay in a few years. Maybe never even assembled.>>8572387now that's a SPACESHIP. I should post mine - that's the other reason I have no love for the Falcon. This sort of stuff is way cooler and deserves more attention. Sequels ruined the franchise as well.
>>8572519the big corner with window exists in black
>>8572514>Fucking phone photos screwing upI'll just show off some stuff when I'm back home. I've mostly been building sets like the Ideas Treehouse and Sesame Street. I love it when they add small details and references in sets.
>>8572540Excellent, Jay on the receiving end of Lloyd's 'golden dragon'. I have that Monastery of Spinjitzu as well, fun little set but I think I'll remove all the weird boobytraps.
>>8572517Oh shit. I think I posted that like 5 years ago.Yeah, that's me.
It's been a while since I've done one of my alt-builds.This one here was made from the Fire Stone Mech.
>>8572338please kill yourself
>>8572328wouldn't the doors dislodge from those cylindrical blocks all the time? That's probably why they got rid of it
Should I use green stuff in legos or no. What kind of molding puddy on legos should I use?
>>8572558>>8572561Skinny and smooth, looking good!
>>8572438correct; that's why Minecraft sets look more lego-y than regular sets
>>8572538How you liked SS? I want to get it soon
>>8572571The celinders were there just to show, noticed finished model uses 1x2 slope
>>8572499Man I envy (you), those dragons look rad as hell.
>>8572618For its price, it's pretty small and I've never been a fan of stickers (the most vital show references are stickers) but it imitates the Sesame Street look really well and it wouldn't look too out of place in a City display.
>>8572538>I love it when they add small details and references in sets.My favorite reference is on 7621 with R2 and 3PO in the background
>>8572305is that seatron?
>>8572327thats not Europa that is "medieval village"
>>8572736Americans suck at world history.>TFW we never got a Lord Vortech minifig from Dimensions, or Lady E. and the boss ghosts from Hidden Side
>>8572338Are you dumb, stupid, or dumb?
>>8572504Aww, it’s adorable
what's the most valuable minifig you own?30 chf = ~33$
Does anyone have interesting LEGO habits? For example, none of my castle figures are allowed to have smiley or otherwise happy faces. The only exception to this rule is the classic smiley face.>>8572459Great as always. Do you have a Flickr or other sort of archive?
>>8572309Swamp always kills themes.
>>8572898Go! Raven from Dimensions. 40 euros from BL because the whole thing is discontinnued.
>>8572309I wouldn't be surpised if it was due to stability issues. The balljoint of the feet section for example is simply connected to the back with nothing securing it so there's probably a high chance that the feet come off when playing with or posing it.
>>8572898I have one of those Finch Dallow ones from the resistance bomber set. I got two of them because Lego would just give you one if you'd bought the set before they updated it with that minifig. I sold one, and probably will end up selling the other. I think they're $80 or $100 CAD.
>>8572901>Interesting LEGO habitsSweet Mayhem is the only mini doll allowed on my display. Every other mini doll has their hair removed and gets put in the storage bag.I use the hair pieces for minifigs since they fit them as well.
>>8572901it's an official lego build, prototype for set 5969
might as well dump some more SP3 designs that never saw production.
Damn, LEGO bros, first time since eternity where there is no war over new /lg/ thread
My Lego Razor Crest just arrived. Looking forward to getting stuck in!
Guess what I’ll be buying on Jan 1st
>>8573020Wojtuś is proud of you guys!
>>8573020>Damn, LEGO bros, first time since eternity where there is no war over new /lg/ threadTurns out, when OP waits until the old thread hits the image limit instead of the bump limit, there's nothing to complain about.
>>8572898Phase II Rex
>>8572898>what's the most valuable minifig you own? This dude
Any spacefren that could help me? How does helmet in pic related look with standard visor, any color?
>>8572995Beautiful, cool creations, all the pics. Love the color scheme. So much awesome space and sci fi in this thread!

>>8572967That chunky engine looks so goodReposting my police pod
>>8572898davy jones & crew i thinkcovered in a thick layer of dust for authenticity
>>8572898Queen Amidala from 2012. $60.>>8572922I fucking hate myself for not picking up her set for $15 when I had the chance.
>>8572898The Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy. Think it's going for around $550 on Bricklink?
>>8573112>I fucking hate myself for not picking up her set for $15 when I had the chance.Same, wish I could go back in time and tell younger me to just go for it.
>>8573132the bit after the end credits?
>>8573132WHERE'S THE MOC EGGMANYOU SAID THERE'D BE A MOC
>>8573132The part in the beginning with Brendan Frasier and other guy during the war where they see the face in the sand.
Sorry for being a fag, here’s the moc
>>8573148Reminds me of the scene from the Mummy when Benny starts praying to all the different gods.
>jang is ACTUALLY dead for real
>>8572339Why not start today anon?
My first set in years, and at 33% off! What a steal!
>>8573164Did he suck start a handgun?
>>8572338What are you?A die hard purist?Like someone who only use 2x2 and 2x4 bricks?Or a retard?
Better pics of the new Mandalorian set for February
>>8572377Looks like a moc which tried to mimic classic-lego-styleAt least the use of leaf-elements and whips like that isn't that common at all in official products
>>8573236there's our full Beskar mando, nice
>>8573236Huh, so LEGO can actually make a decent greebly jetbike that isn't ridiculously sized
>>8573236Bike and ballista look nice. Also kek, they put the blaster pistol piece on backwards to make his rifle in the second pic
>>8572504>Snake, what's up?>Otacon, the Metal Gear, it has googley eyes>how?, that's impossible>and the worst thing is, I can't harm it anymore, cause it's so cute now
>>8573236There a price advertised for it?
>>8573269I haven’t seen one yet, just slated for February release. If I had to guess, 30 USD
>>8573164Why?Proof?And only his channel, or is he dead?>>8573236I know it's a stupid rant, but old, classic-minifig-head Tusken-Raiders only appeared in one set (at least, there where two of them)And the new ones are part in every second set now
Won't dump all the sketch builds I have saved but here's one for KKII. Originally there were going to be giant spiders (also shown in the concept art) but for some unknown reason they were scrapped and replaced with a Shadow Knight. When I've been archiving all this stuff Mark Stafford's flickr is a good place for SPIII, Mars Mission, Agents, Power Miners, Chima, and Atlantis sketch builds. He has the username nabii.
>>8573284>30Try 40 more likely
>>8573314Why is the knight on one of those springy sports stands?
>>8573330In the set the knight has to throw a boulder across the bridge to knock his opponent into a pit of scorpions.
>>8573318Definitely a possibility
>>8572339That's like $1000 in parts
>>8572963Heh, I thought you were space biker anon.
>>8572305beautiful , car park spaces/bays for the rovers something missing form so many space basesWhat is this?
>>8573236bit meh really whats the point of the ballista without the dragon . should have just done a battel pack or the commc varta speeder as well
>>8573392maybe they got advanced pics to make the set from and thought mando was fighting the sand people who were fielding ballistas
>>8572898Nothing too crazy but I've got these guys. Boba fett is pretty worn, he was my favourite minifigs as s kid
>>8573236I'll get it for the tent build.
>>8572898He's worth that much? Holy shit. I've got one of those. Most valuable figure I have is old Jango. He also happens to be my favorite.
>>8573432Forgot the image because I guess I'm retarded. Which is to be expected of licensefags.
What is the best old west themed building lego has put in a set?
>>8573415Are you working for Lego?
>>8572898I guess my most valuable one, might the Nestle Nesqick Rabbit minifigToo bad, I lost him
>>8573446In terms of just building this is the one that sticks in my mind the most
When attaching this kind of window "glass" into the frames do you anons make sure that the copyright and part # text is oriented in the correct direction so it is not upside down? Do you also perform a second check to make sure that the text is on the inside of the frame? Is that considered just as austistic as making sure the Lego logo on all the studs are all oriented in the same direction? Or is this not quite as autistic?
>>8572898This sexy bitch right here! According to bricklink this is a lot cheaper outside of North America but the cheapeast it is on bricklink right now is $66.00.
>>8573551doing both of those things is extremely ocd and I don't do either
>>8572898> x6 Phase 2 Captain Rex> x40 Mimban Stormtroopers> x1 Lego Store Employee minifig> x85 332nd Clone Troopers
>>8573596>> x85 332nd Clone Troopersfuck you m8
>>8573551I do the same thing with windows but logo orientation is too much normally. Maybe I'd care if I was doing some macro shots where the logos were clearly visible.
>>8573027Looks really crappy. Front fender way too thick compared to the real car and these wheels should have much lower profile.
>>8573551Always make sure the legal text is oriented the correct wayAlways orient the "lego" engravings the same way when it's possibleAlways make sure the injection marks are hidden from view when possible
>>8573596Forgot SDCC Sheriff Deadpool but Im tryna sell it so I don't really consider it part of my current collection
>>8573644>Always make sure the injection marks are hidden from view when possiblethis is the most reasonable one
>>8573629just go on BL homie, they'll be $11 USD each in no time
Does modern lego scratch more easily? I don't remember new parts having so many marks straight out of the bag
>>8573660certain pieces are made from a different plastic that scratches easier, yesmostly transparent too which sucks
>>8573660Yup, it also cracks/splits from being on display for too long, some parts have cracked the first time they were placed on a stud as well
>>8573662I know the new transparent pieces are notoriously scratchable, but I wasn't expecting regular black to get so scratched tooAren't all bricks now made from transparent plastic that then gets dyed? Does that contribute to it?
>>8573434Slightly related, why have they never made a newer version of pic related?
Thoughts of 1st episode of Lego Masters (Poland edition) ?I think builds were uninspired and dull.
>>8573688The objective was to design a building to fit city landscape....
>>8573690...and then bring destruction and apocalypse.
Were these Blurrgs from a pic that leaked almost a year ago belong to a scrapped set that never came out, or were they simply just fake pics from the beginning?
>>8573693Its a shop. Check the lazy smudging/blending between the top studs and the head.
>>8573693You one dumb ass nigga
>>8573678I wish they would remake it, it's such a unique and colourful set that's long overdue for a reissue
>>8573693This is just a dewback with down syndrome, anon
>>8573692The giant squid completes this building. Though, that balcony line is a bit gorey. What did the final city end up looking like?
>>8573793Like crap and winning construction was a mess.
>>8573185This is a great set, and you're going to enjoy making it. Might I suggest this band as some listening while you build it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__Mv6wjwBQg
>>8573812How much time do they get to build all this?
Nearly finished building the Razor Crest and I have to say, this is a really nice build so far. Feels very sturdy and pretty weighty. I'm having fun, guys. I hope you're all having a nice evening.
>>8573812>Square buildings and shitty nonexistent landscapingThey should've built right up to the street.
>>857382013h for building + extra 3 hours for destruction/apocalypse.Octopus and candy facotryZombie attack (very lame, also almost unfinished build)Sea-thing ruined by tornado (building was nice, destruction poor)Two generic glass buildings destroyed by generic monsters. One nice seaside hotel but destruction was almost non-present.Overall zero creativity (apart from blue octopus - btw this one did not win), uninspired, dull, repetitive and fragile (one of them literally collapsed during the show off) and very poor opening episode.
>>8573678probably one of my most favorites star wars sets!
>>8573434>>8573678also lets not forget about this one
>>8573678It is long overdue for a remake. Really its fantastic.>>8573848This also deserves a remake. However it is a pretty easy color swap of pieces on the existing Slave 1 models. In fact I'm currently in the process of color swapping the 20th Anniversary Slave 1. Its been easy so far. The biggest hurdle so far is that I haven't found a satisfying substitute for pic related in blue without having to slightly redesign those areas of it. Not a huge issue but it just means I'm going to have to put in a little more than a passive effort.
>>8572377I gave sharpening it up a shotHow is everyone? What are you working on?
>>8573185where at? I've had more fun with that set than anything else in the past 5 years and maybe looking to get more
>>8573812was there a piece count limit or pieces unavailable?
>>8573985no limits, also from what i was some closeups of monor details probably used illegal techniques and still got away with it
Is this worth 1,400 pointerypoos?
>>8573933>How is everyone?>What are you working on?Finishing up the aft storage
Finishing up my Heroes of Might and Magic 2 architecture thing. I was out of ideas for the swamp, so I don't like it much. Same with the main tower of the castle, never found a solution that I was satisfied with. Everything else turned out nice, especially the nest and the dragon tower.>>8573933That sea base looks gorgeous. I imagine the shadows works to its advantage since we can't make out much of the details.
Prototype molded bison
>>8573952Rusta in Sweden
>>8572898Unopened Darth Revan polybag. I feel bad because I'm really not a Star Wars guy and haven't even played KOTOR yet. At the same time, the design is awesome so I want to keep him...
>>8572901If I acquire a used set I refuse to build it until it is 100% complete. Even if it is just missing ome accessory or a feather, I can't build it.
>>8574050Man I’ve been craving that figure for ages and I’m not big into KOTOR either, however he’d make a fine addition to my Sith Lord collection.Anyone know any tube pieces I could use to fit Doc Ock’s tentacles closer to that of Into The Spiderverse? I’m just borrowing my Spider-Man 2’s Ock tentacles for now.
>>8574077https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=522Any of the transparent 7mm hoses that’s the length you want would work pretty well I think. Maybe some flex tube inside to help hold its shape for posing
Why do they pick garish colors for the internal pieces (which are sometimes still exposed from some angles)? Is it really so bad to pick a color that exists in the set's color palette? I know it's to make pieces easier to find but surely that can still be accomplished by choosing a color which hasn't been used for pieces of that type?
>>8574043I tried cleaning up and expanding this pic too>>8574030sexyyyy post more pictures>>8574039it's a shame there aren't more pictures of it
>>8572898Professor Umbridge from the Order of the Phoenix castle (I bought the castle back then and was surprised it was the only HP set that year).
>>8574017Do you have a place to put it in? If so, yes.
>>8573314If you're worried about spamming, fuck it dump em allYou'd be consistently improving quality, even if you slow drip itHowever if you're just lazy, that's fair enough and thank you for bringing this to my attention
>>8572898According to Brickset, Mimban stormtrooper from Solo TIE fighter. I'm actually pretty surprised how I have so many that are over 10€. Doesn't feel much but I personally would never pay double digits for single minifig.
>Bricks & Pieces order is now 10 days late, ordered one full month agoAnyone else in Europereich having delays? Is it because of the lockdowns? Although a couple of bricklink packages I ordered after that already arrived a couple of weeks ago...
>>8574255You never know. I ordered 4 packages from a similar area 3 weeks ago; 3 of the packages arrived in a week, the 4th has yet to arrive. It's from a well known seller who shipped it on time, so it's just covid shenanigans.
>>8574257Why can't people separate their political views from their jobs, I get what they're trying to say but it's just cringey really
>>8574275because orange man bad and establishment man good
>>8573812The Aussie edition would easily beat all of those shit buildings in a similar round
>>8574089Part of me had the theory that they just use those to get rid of excess stock.
>>8573678Its all we want but we never get
>>8573688Oh I wanted to talk about it!Prokop was weakest part.Geek z Brodą was fucking stiff as board but I heard it gets better. I like this guy.The best build was the Aquarium, and I was FUCKING MAD when they gave brick to those SW Faggots.

>>8574050Man I had three of these but I gave them to a friend since I owed him money at the time. How much does it go for now?
Recently discovered this minifig and really like how it looks. Reminds me of The Fly and the wings remind me of elves from Mu Online except this one is a genetic freak.
>>8574855wish they made red variants
so I just entered my childhood bin of loose lego into rebrickable and it says I have $6k in parts lol. Has anyone gone about selling large amounts of individual parts? Is there any way to do it without it being incredibly labor/time intensive?
>>8572898Is there an easy way to determine this? I’m curious to see what my most valuable minifig is, but I don’t want to spend hours looking though websites.
>>8574855I found them overdesigned. Love the wings though

>>8575515>includes part of a carcass with meat and bonesThat’s pretty metal for a Lego set.>>8575513Surprised this one has a minifigure. I thought those only showed up in bigger Creator sets.
>>8575513I like the minifig using a similar face to Ann Droid/Spyrusbot
>>8574097>>8574043No shit? This looks fucking great. A shame they abandoned it.
>>8575513Dang. I recently Bricklink'd the head of the old Spyrius droid, and LEGO just up and effectively makes an updated version of him.
>>8575513>rock-solid design>10 bucks>non-license sci-fi set>alt-builds>cool minifigIn a different dimension this would be an entire theme.
>>8575513Pretty nice. LEGO Creator Classic Space
What an awesome parts pack.
What the hell is this City shit next year?!Why is nothing burning in those sets? Why are there no cops and robbers?
Why do none of those characters have a name? Why are there no gimmicks like ripcord helicopters or "water" stud shooters?
YES!SOMETHING IS BURNING AND THERE'S A WATER STUD SHOOTER!Phew, for a second I thought Lego completely lost its marbles.
>>8575594>>8575592>>8575589really nice but how much of the parts budget is going into those overly glossy roads

>>8575592I don't get this hate for named characters. I watched the show a few days ago and it was really fun too.I just genuinely think you guys hate everything that isn't the same thing as before. Try to lighten up a little. These new sets are great.
>>8575600>turning wheel axle brick

Speed Champions really does fascinate me with how complex they can get in such a small space. Also the Razor Crest I bought yesterday. I got these two over 2 days. I think I'm relapsing into addiction again, lads.

I hope these sci-fi Creator sets means Lego is testing the waters for a new in house Space theme. It's been a while since Galaxy Squad.
Where should I get started with Lego? I want to kind of go nuts and create my own little fantasy Lego world with OCs to do, whatever. Start with a set? Get the basic block set?Help me Lego General. You're my only hope
>>8575747Well what theme interests you the most at the moment?
>>8575747Just go to a store and see what interests you. Building sets from instructions can give you an idea of how to make your own stuff and spark creativity. There isn't a wrong place to start (with a few exceptions like duplo and galidor) since all sets can be disassembled and rebuilt into whatever you want.As a kid, I started with secondhand pieces from many used sets in the form of a bulk haul from a thrift store. You can find old collections on eBay easily, although fair warning, they are usually full of off-brand parts as well. Also, don't use the word blocks to describe Lego bricks or you'll be skinned alive by the community. The plural of Lego is Lego, too.Hope this helped.
>>8575747get a few sets, i recommend creator sets since they have great value, the basic block sets while good value also, have 20 different colors so they arent great for cohesive color schemes.get familiar with different pieces and how to use them, plan out and prototype what you want to build, and if you need a specific piece you dont have or dont have enough of, use bricklink.com to buy more of specific pieces and/or minifiguresyou can make good looking builds without much experience, but there are some advanced building techiques that take lots of practice and parts knowledge to master
>>8575747just "bee" yourself :)
>>8575751City seems kind of neat.I know they had a lot of medieval stuff but I haven't seen any of it around. Not really big on their licensed stuff apart from Star Wars.>>8575752>>8575756Thanks Appreciate it.
>>8575747Oh, and although this might not apply to you currently, I've recently learned that not caring about color cohesion is acceptable when planning out a set. Basically, you can 'sketch' the form a design with the limited parts you have, and then go back later when you have the colors and specific pieces you desire. You can learn more techniques and improve with building much faster if you aren't as focused on how the final product looks, if that makes sense. So, throw everything at the wall and grow from experience.
>>8575761>I know they had a lot of medieval stuff but I haven't seen any of it around. There's rumors it'll return. One day I'd like to make an old school forestmen style mech.
>>8575764When I said set, I meant custom build.
>>8572898Most likely Samukai. He's also one of my favorite figures
Made an Aquashark transport/comms/construction thing, don't know what to name it.>>8575747I'd start small, and use the building techniques/pieces/structures to form a motif along subthemes within your world. For example, let's say you're creating a fantasy world and you have one kingdom that worships the skies. You might use different types of domes, lots of wings, etc. Think of real life examples of ancient cities such as Santorini or Bagan where there are repeated motifs throughout their architecture. In terms of sets, Lego follows the same principles in their own themes, so look for a theme that resonates with you and buy multiples of that theme, or look for a specific piece you want and build outwards from that.>>8574042>>8574410Thanks. The nest is also my favorite. I always try to use weird one-off pieces and that dino part was perfect.
>>8574257Oh look another npc giving his opinion that nobody asked for
>>8574772How do they know the set IDs before any other information?
>>8575633its hard not to when there all on offer in tescos. I brought them all full price, gutted.
>>8575586Is this Jay outfit from a specific episode of the show? It looks so weird. It's strange how the outfits are so inconsistent too, eg>>8575583Has Kai hair with a headband which I can only assume is from the newest wave like the leaked lloyd. And there's no coherency between their outfits in general, which is new for the legacy line. It's good to finally get Zane with a hairpiece again since right now you can't get that even on bricks and piecesI might end up getting most of these just because each one has a minifig or part that I want
>>8575817>TescoMy British negro. That's where I got the car, funnily enough. I ordered the Razor Crest. Though when they start stocking more Lego for Christmas? Well... I'm already running low on model space.
>>8575584alright what CADfag thought that windshield was okay
>>8575592the design of that building is some sad shit

>>8575594and what the fuck is going on with this wall?
>>8575845Yes.When will we get minifigs with downs syndrome?
>>8575845Holy shit, they've made a Guide Dog. My Mother is blind, she'll love to hear about that. Hell, her Guide Dog is sleeping in my armchair right now. (The chair I sit in to mess around with Lego, annoyingly)
>>8575792>Madeno you didn't
>>8575849What do you mean? That looks like regular 1x6x5 panel bricks which are closed off on the sides. What are you trying to highlight?
>>8575592>>8575854new dog mold in the ugly poorly designed apartment set too>>8575856in blonde if your mom's is blond, but the ugly uninspired sad apartment building might not come with the harness piece
>>8575862It's just a dumb stupid design. We're used to LEGO not being able to fit minifigures inside cars and cockpits, but being unable to figure out how to fit windows into a wall is a shocking new low.
>>8575873He actually is, and is a Labrador too. I'll just buy the harness piece. The only interesting thing in that set to me was Ray Charles and the dog there.

Assembly Square or Bookshop? Hankering for one of them and no better time than during a VIP weekend
>>8576028Bookshop is one of the worst modular buildings in recent memory because of how little the interiors are decorated. Assembly Square is leagues better even with the higher price.
>>8575513That alt build looks a lot like a mech scale version of the old robot x-pod

>>8575967Think it's the same as the guy from the creator space rover.
Would the Saturn V be a good parts model? I don't have that much lego (think <1000 pieces, maybe <500) and I want to get into classic castle MOC's. I know the problem parts are the panel pieces (which are easy to recreate without the decal), the corners and the castle towers. I was also looking at the $100 harry potter sets as well, although I don't care about Harry Potter. In general, what are some good sets with white/light bluish gray/dark bluish gray pieces?
>>8575876Shut the fuck up you whiny cunt, its clearly a design choice.
>>8576086>I want to get into classic castle MOC'sOh boy, are you lucky I happen to be browsing in these parts. If it has to be greys, then go with the hidden side castle. That's going to be the easiest conversion. If you are willing to look at brick yellow (aka tan), then for sure go with Harry Potter stuff. The main reason to go with Harry Potter is that you'll be getting more castle chunks for years. You can add on to your brick yellow castle and maybe some of the figures will be useful for your setting. If you're really bold, sell the figures to get more bricks later. Honorable mentions would be Ninjago and Disney. Ninjago has a few castle-like sets at the moment and the enemies are always good for D&D type baddies. Disney has a lot of really serviceable castle parts if you can deal with the colors. Aurora's Forest Cottage is basically just asking for you to swap a few colors out and have a nice medieval hovel. >what are some good sets with white/light bluish gray/dark bluish gray pieces?Star Wars will supply you with grey and white basically every year.
>>8576135Based Castle anon. To add to your last line though, the markup on SW sets usually doesn't make them a worthwhile investment for parts unless the minifigs have a decent market, which tends to be hit or miss.
>>8576150>the markup on SW sets usually doesn't make them a worthwhileThat's why I only mentioned it as a continuous source. You're basically right about the markup and figures. Not 'really' worth it.
>>8576086>Would the Saturn V be a good parts model?I'd say so, but why the fuck would you want to use one like that? It's a fantastic build
>>8576135>>8576150>>8576165Based, thanks for the detailed response. I didn't know about the Hidden Side Castle (just got into lego a few weeks ago), so I might buy multiples of that this weekend. I'm putting some of the HP figures into excel and you're absolutely right on the savings. Good call on the Aurora's Forest Cottage, also. It all depends on what's going to get discontinued first, although to your point, HP will probably be around for awhile.>>8576173Unless I mount it to the wall I wouldn't have anywhere to put it. I know everyone's been positive about it, so I'm getting a mild dose of fomo. I figured if I used it for parts, I could build it down the line.

Okay, so my office has a really really big Lego fan working there. Like even more of a fan than I. By a stroke of luck I pulled his name out of the hate for the Secret Santa. Now we also happen to work for a company handling Christmas themed events. Our "upper" limit is £10, and I'm not sure what to get him that's Lego, and Christmas themed. Do you have any ideas?
>>8576036X pods were cool
>>8576493Not when it turns out that brick separator is its dick.
>>8576567Does it need to be christmas themed?Could you bricklink a couple of santa/elf figs and still have shipping under that limit, or bundle it as part of an order you want so technically the shipping isn't part of the cost?
>>8576567There are Lego ornaments but I think they’re sold out. There’s a Santa minifigure keychain too, and that wasn’t sold out last time I checked. You can go to the Lego shop website to see for yourself.

Have they done these in other colors before?
>>8576639One of those buildable bricks? Yep, in red. It was a VIP reward that recently went out of stock.
>>8576632That's a really good couple of suggestions. Thank you! >>8576617Well we run Polar Express events, so it'd be ideal if it were Christmas theme. The logic about shipping is what I was thinking of, too! He makes a Christmas village every year, too, so I thought it'd be nice and rather fitting. I appreciate the help. BTW. I'll ask him for pics of his village to post here, too.

"When boys build a construction set, they'll build a castle, let's say, and they'll play with the finished product on the outside. When girls build construction sets, they tend to play on the inside." And research showed that girls loved little details, says Lego brand relations manager Amanda Santoro. "When we were testing this, we asked girls what would you like to see in a Lego school?" she said, as she showed off the line at Toy Fair, the massive industry event held each year in New York City. "Of course, they said an art studio. So we see a lot of detail here with the different paint canisters and the canvas here [a Friend] is creating."
