>>8564600Depending on what you like there are only 2 options so far the DnD IndIndominus and the Super Colossal the first is nice and gimmicky and fits the 1:18 line has bad proportions as far as the tail( custom work can fix that) the 2nd one or SC Indominus fits well with the 1:12 line abd has ton of details packed into as well as wicked sharp claws and probably has more articulation than the DnD version and is much more proportionate.

It has a ton of articulation, including jaw and neck articulation unlike any of the other figures infact it is rhe only basic figure to feature jaw articulation and is in scale w the 1:18 main line. The wing span is slightly longer than the roarivore version and features a different head crest more like the Dino Rivals Ptero does. Its more screen accurate sculpt wise to the JP3 Pterandon than the 2018 figure is and is great figure to repaint.

Any tips or suggestions on repainting on the soft plastic of this kind of figure.Recently acquired this baby triceratops, the light blue shading is faded but not a big issue but the grayish beige of the horns, ridges, and toes are missing paint throughout.

Also make sure the finish is the same as the paint. I have these and the paint is matt so that's something to keep in mind.

Some of the older dinos (a third of which weren't even dinosaurs to begin with) are still great if not for only the fact that it's the best or only figure of that genus/family/order with articulation. Ornithosuchus was the only non-dinosaur/non-pterosaur archosaur up until recently to have an articulated figure (postosuchus is the newest entry), Lycaeonops is the only articulated gorgonopsid out there currently, Estemmenosuchus is the only dinocephalian with articulation, and Scutosaurus got redone recently but still is one of only two pareiasaurs to get articulation. The ceolophysis two-pack are fun for their size and bendy-wire bodies, same for tanystropheus. The old raptors are still fun to play with, especially the one with the biting action that we all had. Bigger dinos like the young Rex are nice for the rubber skin and more proportionally-sized feet, but the newer rexes the same size do the job better with more articulation. Big rexes like the stomping one are nice but way too much for used when you can get the Super Colossal new for cheaper.

You have my sympathies when Universal makes their inevitable nostalgia baiting sequel/remake of Back to the Future. But that also explains oddities in the JW movies, like the Rex’s coloration looking different from the first JP. Definitely have a feeling that Universal did not archive a lot of their assets from the original movies or at the very least don’t allow the filmmakers to look at them.

One is the dark chocolate brown on the head and snout which actually works with the base color of the plastic. The other is the diarrhea brown on the back of the body and it doesn't work at all with the base color.I guess the new Rex's colors are closer to tinted promo photos like pic related, but the fact that they go together pushes it over the BnF for me.
