Moonstone body on emma is not accurate to the comics in any way
>>
>>8306946
>Emma doesn't even look good on the moonstone body.

Because you’re using a shitty custom as an example. Sure the neck articulation is crap but using a terrible custom doesn’t mean the body is bad. I’ve seen better customs using the same bodymold.

Not happening now that "Revanche" is in her original body and going by Psylocke and Betsy is in her original body and going by Captain Britain.

Why would that stop them? They don't only make figures of the most recent iteration of characters.

>>
>>8306837
Exodus hasn't had a figure since the 90s, he deserves another one now that he's prominent in the comics again.
>>
>>8307112
By that logic they wouldn’t be making an Asian Psylocke. 90’s X-men are popular, a British Revanche isn’t out of the realm of possibility

obviously no one cares about that version when even spiderverse didnt use it.
>>
>>8308379
... But why? Who was this supposed to appeal to?
>>
>>8308873
I don't think Spider-Verse redesigned SP//DR because the design was unpopular, as much as it was because it's too similar to an EVA Unit. That's an homage you might get away with in a comic oneshot and some background scenes of an event book, but in a major film that's gonna get you sued.
>>
>>8309024
If this were the case, they likely wouldn't have made it a BAF, since merchandising a derivative design is even worse legally than just featuring it in your movie. I think the original design is different enough that it counts as an homage and is legally safe, the more likely explanation is that the directors just personally wanted to go with a different design. It's not like SP//dr was the only thing drastically redesigned for the movie.

Nude makes the most sense for a shapeshifter. Otherwise they'd need to either strip before shapeshifting, or conatantlty be focused on shapeshifting fake clothing onto their self. And Magneto addressed in "First Class" why being in a constant state of shapeshifting was bad.

>Nude makes the most sense for a shapeshifter
Yes, but she doesn't shapeshift into naked people, she shapeshifts into clothed people. So why can't she shapeshift a dress onto her normal form. I mean I've always assumed that to be the case even in the comics.

>And Magneto addressed in "First Class" why being in a constant state of shapeshifting was bad.
Yeah but that line feels like it was put in specifically to deal with the "naked" Mystique criticism and also makes no sense. Feels like the more she is using her power the better control she would have over it.

What's a great MCU Steve Rogers fig?

Worthy Cap by a country mile. Its the only MCU figure I really plan on keeping and not using for fodder of some kind, or tweaking to be a stand in for a figure Hasbro haven't made or won't make aside from the Black Order figures, because I seriously doubt we'll ever get them in comic form.
>>

Marvel Legends. The Figuarts has better articulation I imagine, but you gotta pay Figuarts prices for him.

Also, I'll toss in that if you DO fucking make a British Betsy figure, why the fuck waste the one god-damn chance you have to do so on god-damn Revanche?

Either make British Betsy in her pink Chinese Mandarin outfit Alan Davis gave her when she joined the X-Men or motherfucking make her in the Silvestri battle armor she wore in the Outback era.....

Wrong Polaris. The Steranko homage costume version of Polaris is the one that was Pestillence (granted while wearing a full body unisex knight armor on top of the pseudo Steranko costume)

A compromise for Revanche would be to make a version of her in her rubber gimp outfit she wore during the Skinner of Souls arc, when she appeared in subplot pages with a mask on to hide the fact that she was in Betsy's British body.

Maybe do it with the Outback costume Psylockes as a two-pack and include a generic unmasked Betsy head so you can use the unmasked head either with Psylockes proper or with Rubber Gimp Revanche to simulate the scene in X-Men #20 when she unmasks.

>>
>>8311696
Having looked at the kind of time that went into that makeup, I don't fucking blame her. That being said, it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place because trying to make Mystique a primary heroine through all the movies was a bigger mistake.

>>8311680

Shapeshifting with her level of precision is such a ridiculous fucking power that it's not a stretch to write the specifics a few different ways. They just so happened to choose the explanation that's also an excuse for her to be a naked lizard.

What is the best body to use for a custom Vigilante Daredevil?
I was thinking something along the lines of a character with the bucky Cap torso and maybe the legs of the netflix Punisher for the baggy pants and boots, but I dont know if that torso is too muscular and comic book-y for a real life character.

The idea I had was using the body for Punisher but swapping out the arms for ones with double jointed elbows for better poseability. And then trying to find a 1/12 cloth shirt to help mask any imperfections.

If it doesn't ring up that means it's free, grab it and walk right out. If the guy at the counter tries to stop him, just yell "I AM A FREE MAN ON THE LAND AND I DO NOT CONSENT TO YOUR LAWS" and he'll have no choice but to let you leave.

Incidentally you can also do this with figures that do ring up. If you say you don't consent to paying because you never agreed to abide by the government's laws, they can't enforce them and you get free stuff. Try it, it really works!

So does anyone here actually plan on getting a Haslab Sentinel? Thing is literally almost $400 after tax, you could use that money to buy 3 new ML waves. >>
>>8319023
The most I've ever spent on a Marvel Legend was the recent Apocalypse BAF. I seriously don't think the Haslab Sentinel is going to be crucial for an X-Men collection, plus they missed the boat to incentivize people to order one by not rereleasing the previous Sentinels again for army building. Buying Multiple 16" Sentinels for $80 to $100 a pop versus $350 per Haslab Sentinel is kind of a no brainer. Honestly them charging $350 is fucking overkill and they could have gotten more people to buy multiples if it was $150 instead.

>>8319031
I have a job too but I know better than to be a fucking paypig to Hasbro's greed. $350 a piece is something retards with no sense of monetary value would spend.
>>
>>8319034
so lets see all the manufacturing and logistic calculations you done to get your numbers.
>>
>>8319034
I think it's worth more than $150, but definitely agree that it's not a $350 figure. $200-250 would have been perfect.

I don't think there'd be nearly as much army building as people think even at a lower price point, though. There are definitely some superfans who might want a massive Sentinel fight display, but for most people finding space for just one is gonna be a challenge.
>>
I backed one. I don't have to justify the purchase either. I'll still have money afterward, and I'll still have a steady income after that.

Is there a front view of this?

So this random Gobby showed up at my door today, turns out BBTS shipped him early and that's where a random $20 went out of my checking account. Interesting that they wouldn't ship the Spider-Man I preordered before him, but they'd ship him. Why would that happen?

I went to Target today to get some NECA stands and noticed they were resetting the toy aisles, I also saw that there was a place open for the Spider-Man vintage wave and the new War Machine, I handed the DPCI to the dude stocking and he was a real sweetheart, went in the back and tried to find them but couldn't, and told me this funny story I thought I'd share here.

So it turns out, at my local Target, the dude who stocks the toy aisles just stopped coming to work. Like 2 days before this reset he dropped off the face of the earth, so they've got people from other departments doing his job, and they have no idea where anything is. Dude told me to come back tomorrow and the next day to see if they'll have them out. Checked Brickseek and this Target is the only one in a pretty big radius that was getting any in stock.

There's usually a last-day rush so I wouldn't be totally shocked if the Sentinel managed to close the gap.

Best paint/marker to cover Goblin's horrible eyes? I can't deal with Hasbro's shitty job

This is a question I'd be curious about too, specifically because I tend to run into a lot of figures that don't have pupils at all, where I'd have preferred to have some.

For painting eyes, I use the army painter psycho brush ($8.00 on amazon). Paint? If you can afford it, stick with vallejo. For a cheaper option, privateer press formula p3 or citadel.

Remember to thin your paints, and always practice on something you don't care about first.

Google "figurerealm tutorials" for more reading.

And for god's sake, get a decent magnifying visor. You'll thank yourself.

That's a different guy responding to you but we share the same sentiments. You definitely should get him anon.

He's a pretty solid figure, I didn't expect them to spring for the torso balljoint for him, but they did. Only problem is he lacks fists, and good luck finding another three-fingered one to use.
