Can someone help me. I´m looking for 60204 City Hospital compatible on Ali and having a hard time locating one. All I seem to find is the lighting kits for them. Lepin or whatever they have become is making this set I´m sure because I keep seeing the lighting kit for it. Anyone? Please?
>>
>>8296372
I found this one, anon. Though it won't be Lepin. Lepin went under before this set came out, so it'll be a bootleg from someone else.

For those of you who wanted the original Pirate Bay Lego Ideas submission, a new Chinese brand has stepped up to the plate.

https://customizeminifiguresintelligence.wordpress.com/2020/07/11/reviews-of-jijia-block-49016-clone-of-original-lego-ideas-the-pirate-bay/

They've remained mostly faithful to the submitted design.

Much appreciated but there is something so odd about this store. The name for one. ¨Shop900254145 Store¨

Also 0% feedback and 0 followers and they have a quantity of 997 of this set? I really want this set but not from this vendor. They never responded to my email either.

I also find it odd because about a month ago there were a dozen reputable well established stores on Ali with preorder listings. Now they are all mysteriously gone. Could this set be an oddity in the clone world and not been made?? Anyone?? Comment? / Thoughts?
>>
>>8299356
It's possible, while I'm more risky with my Ali purchases, I've never had a bad experience before, doesn't matter what I ordered it always showed up as described.
>>
>>8286725

>>
>>8299406
Yea after almost two days and no responses from this store I won be ordering from them. Not with 0% feedback and hardy any sales and the bogus store name. I'have ordered from many sellers and only had an issue with one never sending me anything but I did get my money back. It was just a pain to reorder from another seller.
>>
>>8302923
Understandable. Ali is pretty good with customer protections, but if you don't wanna have to go through the worry....

I suppose just wait until you can find the set by another seller or until someone buys from this store.

Just finished the Quan Guan Tiger 131 and was quite surprised to find that it wasn't a straight across KO of Cobi's Tiger 131. For one thing the QG has a much larger hull, I mean look at this beast.

It's hard to see from photos but QG is the bigger tank, while retaining a lot of the Cobi aesthetics and the same-sized turret.

It's slightly taller as well, and I love how much longer the 88 is; Cobi's always felt a bit short and the muzzle brake piece on the QG is the icing on the cake.

The QG also has about twice as many parts to it, though they use some nifty build techniques within the hull to save on parts and weight. That poor Sherman, with yet another Tiger and a couple Panzer IVs still to build... Should get him a Russian friend so he at least won't die alone.
>>
>>8313730
how is the quality of the QG tank compared with Cobi?
>>
>>8314692
Pretty much the same really. Cobi gets a slight edge as the QG set had one slightly mismolded piece that I had to fix so it would fit, but otherwise they're very comparable.

Last year I bought a bunch of these offbrand lego sets because I was immediately attracted to them by their supposedly retro design, until I saw the copyright stamp on the box saying 1988 which was pretty surprising because I wasn't expecting to find 32 year old toys outside ebay.

I went to the same store again and found they were still there so I bought some dupes and this time I finally managed to find some info about the brand:
https://philbricksters.blogspot.com/search/label/ATCO%20Toys

Apparently Lego sued them and they disappeared from the shelves in the early 90s? So these really ARE that old.

From the same store I also got these. Wasn't sure what to expect from the listing photos, which didn't show a minifig per se but mostly the armor piece, implying you were getting the gear for a fig rather than a full fig. They're quite nice figs I'd say, plenty of detail and the new armor pieces are great.

That other Predator set I alluded to earlier was a fun build, forgot to include the scenery builds here but they're window dressing. If there's one thing annoying about the set is the "soft" clutch that isn't very fitting (heh) for some of the design techniques, particularly for the side panels. Still, very much enjoying this pseudo-Stryker.

Up next we got Kazi's Tiger offering. It occurs to me only now that I should've snapped a couple more pics showing the insides, since the model, unlike the other Tigers built to date, is designed much like a Lego set with removable sections. The turret sits on a "platform" that comes right off, revealing where a driver and another crewmember can sit, alongside a surprisingly detailed fake engine setup. The build process itself differed from the others in that a lot of the assembly was done in a similar component fashion. Despite being a 995 piece set the instruction booklet is relatively slim, using the old-school simple Lego format where there's no showing what pieces are needed per step; all is inferred from the step itself. Everything is crammed together to maximize space usage which got a little confusing at times, especially when they had you assembling multiple mini-components that wouldn't come into play until the next page turnover. It took me longer to build it than the others (save perhaps for the Sembo Tiger) but I was also watching the return of the NHL with all-day exhibition games, that may have been too distracting heh.

Challenging building conditions aside it's another great take on a great tank; unfortunately the sticker sheet wasn't cut very well, thus the off-set iron crosses. No weapons for the crew either but I've been spoiled by those other sets that drown you in small-arms.

Last one for now, a quartet of minibuilds from Enlighten. Thanks to the local liquidation centre getting in regular stocks of such sets for super cheap I've been able to resist the countless offerings on Ali, with a few notable exceptions. This is one of them; that awesome AWACS was what sold me but they're all really nice. I mean, who wouldn't d'awww at that chibi aircraft carrier eh.

I gathered all the parts myself from various vendors and put them together
The minifigs are genuine Lego, the only non-lego things are Price's hat/vests/guns

Soap and Price's heads are Poe from SW & some dude from the Lone Ranger line
Ghost's head is Citizen Brick (can't be found anymore)

Ghost and Price's torso/legs are from the EclipseGrafx Spectre minifig (Ghost)

Soap's hair is found in various Lego sets from ~2018 onwards, it's a mohawk hairpiece
His torso is from the Lego Dimensions Ethan Hunt minifig (Mission Impossible levels pack) with the hands swapped from light bley to dark bley, his legs are from the Jurassic World security guard

Hope that helps anon

Perfect timing to build this bad boy on a sunday afternoon.
I think this is my biggest set since my childhood.
>>
What is up with brickbunch.com? It's all "not made by a major manufacturer of plastic toys" or whatever, some are clearly replicas of Lego parts, others look identical to Brickarms weapons. The Lego-like ones are clearly not the real deal, but are the Brickarms-like ones actual Brickarms, or is a third party making replicas of Brickarms stuff?
>>
Did BrickArms once make a prototype, or even a concept/rendering of a Halo plasma grenade? It seems to me I saw one on their forum about a decade ago but I don't remember

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say they're a reseller of Chinese KOs and OCs. Skimming through their accessories section I'm seeing lots of stuff I've bought from AliExpress over the years, including the metal weapons that came with pic related figs. BrickArms, Brick Warriors, BrickForge, MinifigCat and others have all had stuff KO'ed by the Chinese.
>>
>>8334770
By "OC" you mean original concepts made by the chinks?
I just ordered a few of what looks identical to the BrickArms XSR since the XSR is only available in the weapon pack and I don't want to buy the whole thing. If it's a chink knockoff of BA I guess that's fine, I hope it's good quality.
Btw, is that Clone Army Customs MJOLNIR? Are they good quality? I just ordered one set, I think BrickForge is probably nicer but wanted one of the Clone Army ones.
>tfw used to have every single color that exists of BrickForge Spartans (24 colors I think; this was before sand blue existed) but sold a bunch and have about half of the colors still

Don't remember seeing anything like that myself; closest I can think of is you could get their frag grenade in trans-blue, which could pass for a plasma grenade in a pinch.

Regarding the Bane mask, they came with the figs and I could never find if they'd been copied from someone or if they were OC. I got them back in 2017 and unfortunately most minifigs seem to have vanished from Ali.

Yeah, for example a lot of the pop culture minifigs they were churning out before the apparent crackdown. Nearly all weapons on Ali are KOs of the manufacturers listed above but there's OC ones starting to appear as well.

The Spartans do appear to be KOs of the CAC stuff, I was impressed enough with the copies so I'd say the originals should be even better. Pretty sure I have a CAC suit somewhere actually, if I find it I'll post. Wasn't as big a fan of the BrickForge Spartan but I love me some of their ODSTs, heh. Their Blacktron version was pretty awesome.

Oh yeah regarding Chinese quality of BrickArms KOs, generally they're passable except at close side-by-side inspection, but even then they're still pretty good. Pic is a comparison between a CombatBrick sniper rifle and its Chinese copy (the latter is the bottom one). There are noticeable differences but this shouldn't be as much of an issue with BrickArms copies as their weapons aren't as intricately detailed and they'll look good regardless. You may have to trim sprue marks and (if buying in bulk) get the occasional mismold but that last is pretty rare; got in two bags of assorted weapons and there was one mismold between them.
>>
>>8334787
Nah I definitely wasn't thinking of trans blue frag grenade. Maybe I was just thinking of the frag grenade in and of itself, or the plasma pistol, idk, but I kinda thought there was going to be a plasma grenade.
Interesting on the masks
>>8334800
Very cool Blacktron ODSTs. Don't worry about getting a pic of the CAC Spartan, I'll have my own in a few days, just was curious what to expect.
>>8334834
Cool, thanks. I got 5 (pretty sure it's all they had in stock), even if only one looks perfect I'll be happy. Now the only Halo BrickArms stuff I'm missing are the rocket launcher and Spartan laser. Both are available online (splaer from eclipse graphix, rocket launcher from some other store I forgot which) but I'm not paying 25 dollars per weapon kek.
Do you think BA will ever put either or both into full production?
What I really fucking want is sangheili. Meca One (Exo Force minifig) looks pretty good as a zealot though.
>>
Oh the BA rocket launcher is on ministry of arms if anyone wants to shell out the shekels for it.
>>
>>8334852
Yeah I can't justify the cost for those either. I'd be surprised if they ever made a mass-produced version of either, unless they thought they could capitalize on the upcoming release of Halo Infinite. Doubt they would though, Infinite hype isn't all that great and BA has been rather lethargic in putting new stuff out.

Can somebody tell me what I ordered here and which magazine goes with which gun?
I know that the lower line of guns are Type 100 SMGs from Brickarms and are sold with the curved magazine.
And I assume the other gun goes with the drum magazine but then I wonder what to do with the straight block magazine or if it might be historically accurate to switch between straight and curved styles on the Type 100.

MP-28 - straight (alternatively MP-35)
