It's from WAY back when Hasbro had just restarted the line, they were doing votes on what figures fans wanted to see.

Seeing them now, it's really amazing how far we've come.
>>
>>7267469
Wish they would have included a sexy Mystique head instead of a half painted blue Rogue head. Also, some better guns for Mystique.

what's the best figure of classic iron man? preferably like the model 3 or model 4. currently eyeing down the series 1 toybiz but if there's a better one let me know
>>
>>7268265
Other than the ToyBiz figure, I can only think of the Hasbro and Mezco figures. The Hasbro one doesn't look bad but it's a little smaller than the ToyBiz one and doesn't have a moving face plate. I'm not sure about the Mezco figure though, it's been delayed for like six months now.
>>
>>7268278
yeah i was tempted to put an order in but wasn't there a variant released early where the faceplates were all fucked? like no magnet or something

>>

Armored Thanos, War Machine, Outrider, and Cull Obsidian (preferably Marvel Select). Maybe Wong.
>>
>>7268285
Some of them (or maybe even all of them) were missing the magnets and had stuck face plates.
>>7268298
Really hoping SHF gives us a decent Captain America for once, especially if he's in a more traditional outfit.
>>
>>7268286
A Captain America figure with an unmasked facesculpt that actually looks like Chris Evans

That's literally the one thing I want
>>

Is that WM from A3 or A4? I honestly can't really tell anymore.

I mean considering the only people to have done that are hot toys, I wouldn't hold my breath. Chris evans's face is cursed.
>>
>>7268318
it's A4 concept art
>>
What's the Lilandra head about though? And why the Rogue head for a super expensive "old" figure?
>>
>>7268327
Some say it may be a BAF Lilandra but I think it's Hasbro catering to customizers. You could stick her head on a basic body, do a fairly simple paint job, give her a cape and you get >>7267756. I think Hasbro knows they will never do a Lilandra (or Madcap from that Deadpool figure) so why not at least pack in their head.

Bandai making you buy an entire new figure for the new parts is disappointing, but I can't really say I'm shocked. Hasbro doing nothing at all, not even in a 2-pack or something is just surprising.
>>
>>7268378
Yeah I the IM/Strange/Thanos 3 pack would have been great if it had nano tech parts.
>>
>>7268378

The Figuarts 50 is hands down the best (not saying much) its a masterpiece
>>
Has anybody fixed the ghost rider overbite here?
>>
>>7268008
>Also, some better guns for Mystique.

Actually she has used a Luger pistol in the comics before so it's accurate to her character. The rifle though is garbage. I hate that gun.

The Lilandra head sculpt just seems so odd. I would have preferred more weapons, hands, or a non-phasing head that you could use on another figure.

Incase anyone didnt know, Jessica chastain "lilandra" is actually mystique in disguise. Everyone was saying she's a skrull cause she can shapeshift, idk how no one figured this out.
>>
>>7268863
Despite having different SKU/Item Numbers (not the UPC; the company's internal numbers) from the other similar Walgreens exclusives, Thing's is grouped together in WG's point of sale system with them. So, when the site says a store has 2-5 available, it's most often than not ain't Thing, but their other exclusives (Sue, Reed, Johnny, Silver Surfer, Medusa).

I think this was the same before they started doing FF-related characters. Yellow DD was in ML Spider-Man's SKU group, Black Ant was in ML Avengers, etc. Think FF started getting their own group with Namor, but I never saw him on the site; same with Punisher (though Frank was probably grouped in ML Spider-Man). I think only Agent Venom had his own SKU cause he was the very first. I remember looking up store locations on the site for him, and every store that said he was available there, actually had him.
>>
>>7268958
then should i be worried that the walgreens link is inaccessible?
>>
>>7268967
Huh... yeah. The Thing doesn't even show up in Walgreen's search results for "Marvel Legends" anymore, so it looks like they removed it from the site altogether.

Damn, I should've taken a mobile screen shot of his page, before they took it down, to ask around at stores. Ah well...

As of late, I have been getting more Mafex releases. The new iron spider looks great, so does the black panther. Now I see this SHF Captain Marvel & she looks great! I do want to preorder her, but I am hesitant b/c in case Mafex does release one (a year later). What should I do guys?
>>
>>7271939
I'm just going to buy every Captain Marvel.
That probably doesn't help you though.
>>
>>7271939
Pre-order now at hlj or someplace that lets you cancel. Even if mafex does show one off, it'll be at least a year out based on the rest of their solicitations. And even then you could just sell the shf and buy the mafex for a loss of $20 or something, which you could consider the price of getting something a year early.
>>
>>7271945
It does not lol, but I appreciate your response.

>>7271948
Yea, I think that’s what I am gonna do, if I can find one. Especially considering how good she looks compared to the legend. I had exams this morning & missed out :/

Also does anyone have a mix of figures from legends, shf, & mafex? Preferably a female shf so I can see the differences in scale?
>>
>>7271962
Not on hand, but as a rule figuarts are gonna be noticeably tiny next to legends. Bandai is really close to hasbro's star wars stuff so that looks fine mixed up, but legends are pretty huge compared to other lines. That's one thing mafex and amazing yamaguchi has going for them, they seem like they're made to scale with legends.

Superboy, Wonder Man, almost the entire Avengers lineup at one point in the early 90's(including Black Knight), Wonder Woman, and even Spider-Man as Ricoche, one of four alter egos he took on while Spider-Man was being framed for a murder.

It was a pretty common trend in the 90's, and one that was very hit or miss.

I hate to admit it but I'd love a 90's Crystal. Hasbro could just reuse the Rogue figure with just a new head sculpt. It's a no-brainer.

Been eyeing prices on this guy since he came out, glad to have him finally coming home.

Be villigent and you won't have to pay high prices for ML figs, I've found and purchased nearly every one I have for retail or lower. The only one that has eluded me is Hobgoblin, but I'm still hoping he sees a re-release at some point before I acquiesce to paying his high markup.

They made three figures of him, what more do you want? Shirtless duel Killmonger? King of Wakanda civvies Killmonger? Art thief Killmonger?

I think they made plenty already.

>>7279847
It is kind of lame, but I expect it at this point since that's just how things are with comic book movies. Gotta give everyone a new design each movie so people will buy the new toy.

I doubt this SHIELD/stealth suit will be his new default or anything though, just like I doubt Iron Spider will be. And at least it's accurate to Spider-Man. It's become a running joke in-universe that Peter will use any excuse to make and wear a new costume. I just wish MCU Spidey was making his himself.

It really hasn't. Aside from the plot twist at the end of season one, it's ranged from mediocre to weak and no matter how much they want to day it's in the MCU, its pretty clear the movies consider it non-canon.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the new black and red one. But I’m not a huge fan of the stealth one, and I don’t think that having Pete not make his own costume or not keep the red and blue one for a while was a great decision. Maybe make some minor alterations, like Caps costume changes from AoU to CW, or Black widow’s costume changes. Idk the whole iron man jr. schtick with constantly changing costumes that look radically different from the original just isn’t my favorite thing in the world. The red and black looks neat though, I’m excited to see the new figures

>>
>>7284898
I’ve got it and it’s pretty nice. >>7282865
The cape is fine, even though there are some problems along the hem. The lack of mid-torso articulation isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but if it had better elbows, it would be much nicer.
Don’t pay more than retail for it, or go for the “first appearance” version, which has the very nice globe prop.
>>
>>7284951
I've been thinking about the wire in the cape. Doesn't wire flat out break after so many bends? I dunno if I wanna pay $80 for a figure that might have a crucial part give out on me.
>>
>>7284978
What are you doing to the wire? If you put a sharp bend or kink in it, yes, it’ll break after a few bends. But if you put soft bends in it that don’t produce sharp angles, it’ll be fine. Plus, though the wire used in Strange’s cape is thin, it’s a soft metal that is meant to be bent. You take a hard metal like titanium and put a hard kink in it, the wire will snap almost instantly if there’s tension applied. No tension is being applied to Strange’s cape, it’s soft metal, don’t put sharp bends in. That’s all there is to it.
>>
>>7284993
Oh, alright. I didn't know about the whole right angles thing, I just thought wire would give out after so many bends. How does he look next to Marvel Legends?
>>
>>7284365
Where are you supposed to actually buy these things from anyway? I don't see them on disney's site, and amazon/ebay are all scalpers.
>>
>>7284770
Thank you.

I'm visiting New York in the New Year and really don't have any frame of reference for the release of these figures in the states.

Do you think I'm going to be likely to find one in January?
>>
>>7285357
I mean I’m not sure how much stock New York will have in their Targets, since I live in the south. But I will say that even though I like this set, I don’t think it’s super popular or desired among collectors, and targets receive cases of 4, so you’re probably going to be able to find it, provided the target you go to ever had it stocked in the first place. And you can always call ahead to see which one will have it before you start driving around.
>>
>>7285000
He’s obviously pretty different compared to Legends figures, but he’s totally fine. Way better than putting a Select next to a Legends, in terms of scale, but he’s maybe a little tall. When he’s on a flight stand (recommended) he scales better.
