>Barbatos regular release in USSource please?
>>10741146Are they any good though? From the stock levels seems like they're struggling even to give these away.
>>10741188I don't have them, but I took a look at some reviews and they both seem like solid figures. Though I've no connection to them hard to say no for 10 bucks. And I do really like translucent figures.
>>10741202Yeah, you're right. For 10 bucks guess I can't complain. Thanks for the heads up, bought. I also had a browse through their weak excuse for a "sale" and these were the only decent things on offer.
>>10740983>-Metal魂 Gundam Barbatos 1st-4th Form (Jun. 2024, NOTE: Regular retail release in USA)Oh Hell yeah, that takes some pressure off me
>>10741206Most things seem to be 10%, if at most 20% off. Not much of a sale. The human from the Muga is also 90%, but I've no interest. The other robot from the series is also on a steep discount, but I don't like the design as much, so no need to go in on it now. Maybe if it likewise hits 90%.
>>10741294Cool idea, though these damn things are always so expensive. But shouldn't this go to /mrg/ over here?
>>10741226>Oh Hell yeah, that takes some pressure off meHow it's going to sell out in a second, P-Bandai would've been better
>>10741347If they put it up on Amazon like they do with other normal retail stuff it should last a good while.
why doesn't pic related have decals?do prototypes usually lack decals?it looks bland compared to mb strike.
>>10741226>>10741367>>10741347Yes dandy and all but where is the sauce of this claim? I haven’t seen a thing posted about this being general release in the US
>>10741267HLJ's "sale" prices are usually just standard retail price at places like amiami. I like their customer service more though.
>>10741146Wankers changed the damn price :(
>>10741400They're probably still planning out the tampo for it. The DX YF21 has gone naked in its pre-release post-prototype phase for what it's worth.
>>10741592They were finally selling but they decided they wanted to keep their stock.>>10741533Tbf Amiami has their listed prices with tax included, so that's an extra 10% before any of their discounts which have shrunk quite a bit from how they used to be.

>>10741800Oh shit, thanks bruv. The official instagrams didn’t say jack shit so I was wondering where this info was coming from. You would think that something like that would be said to some capacity without having to check these individual stores.
>>10741284>>10741294>Can be yours for the low price of 550 dollar, please understand
I wish we'd get A.N.I.M.E. releases of super robots. I detest diecast and gokins seem to be the only figures they get. Revoltech used to fill that niche, but they mostly do capeshit nowadays.
>>10741936Unfortunately I think most super robots are so niche they only go for the high end collectors. Action Toys does RD equivalents of super robots but the releases have been really sparse and they actually cancelled their mazinger. I am definitely buying their voltrons whenever they actually put them up for preorder though, I got the voltes and it is great, its got no partsforming other than the hands and his sword obviously, which is pretty nice given the figure being about RD height.
>>10741333Doesn't look modular.
>>10741009>What reveal are folks looking forward to the most?100% the Hi-Metal R VF-11MAXL and VF-17T, I've been asking for those for years and I'll be fucking furious if Bandai don't intend to release them, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high since they're both clearly just mockups right now.
Shipping delays :(
>>10741981Well it's certainly not a Robot Damashii/Spirits. It does have literally interchangeable limbs though, which makes it modular. Also /mrg/ is kind of the catch all robot thread when they don't fall elsewhere like Gundam here or in the Gunpla thread, or 52Toys.
>>10742368doesn't look that different from the old release
>All Aerial Rebuilds have assembly defect>Bandai sending out replacementsAnyone have any idea how good Nin-nin is with this sort of thing?Submitted a ticket about the issue and waiting to hear back. Hoping it'll be a smooth process
>>10742540What was the defect?
>>10742575How it should look
>>10742575How it came out
>>10742667
>>10742664>>10742669So droopy back fins.
>>10742679And low ass chin.
>>10742664>>10742669Am I the only one that prefers the "defect"? Looks more unique and less like a generic gundam head.
>>10742540Geez first the Ez-8 and now this? What the heck is going on at their factories
>>10741009Probably the Zeta line. I'm not a huge sucker for Zeta-era suits, but I'll pick up whatever suits that Kamille and Char piloted, and my favorite Titans suits. Shouldn't be too heavy on the wallet. I'd be really interested in the G Witch line, they showed the Dilanza with the SHF Guel. All the fancy effect parts they've been showing off at other shows are cool too, but they don't seem committed to anything other than Suletta's suits for now. >>10742440I'm sure once we get closer pics and promo pics closer to release we'll see the differences. I don't have the older Rick Dias, but I do have the Zeta and I gotta say it moves pretty well, the new one would have to be real fancy to get me to pick it up. >>10742669Didn't even notice this but I haven't messed around with mine too much. Disappointing, hate dealing with shit like this.
>>10742540>Bandai sending out replacementsSource?
Post wishlists.Surprisingly, turns out I want way less than I thought. I always dreaded the notion of Zeta A.N.I.M.E. because I had the impression that I would buy almost every single MS from the series.Z-MSV, however, I do want almost everything from. Though, only if they actually look like Fujita's settei illustrations.
Cheap ANIME Zakus on Amazon for those who want to army build.
>>10743188Bandai>>10742540Heard back, they are aware and will be providing the replacements. They did warn it could take weeks-months
Honestly, I kinda like this. The relative feature placement looks odd when comparing with the line art or other MK IIs, but looking at the first few episodes of Zeta, this feels pretty good.
>>10742669At least this is maybe something you can fix yourself, looks like they just installed on the wrong sides rather than having the wrong piece like the ez8. Though I guess if it’s glued you are fucked anyway.
>>10743395Those pieces are glued in.
>>10743298The DX Chogokin YF29 Max FSP is also pretty strongly discounted too.
Nelly Brain and Home Brain are on sale at Amazon for half off. They're very worth the sale price
>>10743255>GazaEh I can do without that one. Replace it with the Hambrabi.
>>10742372>Also /mrg/ is kind of the catch all robot threadYou mean like this very thread has been before some modular general started?
>>10742372Since fucking when? This thread has always posted and encouraged discussion about other lines such as Metal Build, GFF, SOC/SRC, Hi-Metal, etc.
>>10743939thisthis general is pretty much for all mecha stuff, most likely because any other lines are expensive no one has them and the thread die in a few hours lol
>>10743944That and everything else is naturally more niche; even the non-gundam RDs discussed here often don’t get much traction.
The Guren was $350 when it went on BBTS and the Lancelot is only 8,000 yen more than it was what the fuck is BBTS smoking?
Why not just rebrand this into a mecha toy general?
>>10744025Because this thread works fine and it clearly starts in the second line of the OP "Other mecha toy discussion is also more than welcome!"Thread doesn't need to change because some people are blind.
>>10743978the guren was retail wasn't it? BBTS basically is always a scam for p.bandai shit you should only even consider as an absolute last resort.
>>10744156Both Guren and Lancelot were/are releasing the same way, Pbandai in Japan/Asia and retail everywhere else. BBTS sold the Guren at the same retail price they had on amazon and other places so I’m not sure what’s going on with the Lancelot, unless that is the official US MSRP, in which case I guess I’m going through a middleman.
>>10744440Doesn't exactly look like it jumped off the screen but it looks fine. A little disappointing after all this time though.
When are the astrays coming out?
>>10743978I tapped out as soon as MBs started hitting the $300 mark. It's basically officially endorsed scalper price now.
>>10744550The Kampfer is... egregiously overpriced.
>>10744561The Kampfer is somewhat justified considering the huge amount of weaponry it comes with, and apparently it has the highest amount of diecast in the line. But yeah, Bandai charging $300 for a backpack accessory these days is downright robbery.
A lucky find was had, and was able to make my RD Strelitzia complete finally; with the missing "tricorne" hat piece off a dumped one that'd yellowed pretty badly(currently in a UV HP bath) with the heaviest cigarettes smell I've encountered yet. Also the Aerial Rebuild I finally got just bit before the surprise find, and a question if anyone knows what the yellow 'fin' parts on the thruster pack were supposed to do in function?>>10742368>>10744231Just love the level of chunk in these, like the Hizack in EFF colours more; but will be picking up at least one of these up when the pre-orders open. Rick Dias I do hope we get the standard colours type, even if almost guaranteed a webshop exclusive.>>10741009More a Wishlist like >>10743255, but want to see more non-Gundams and grunts. After seeing the proportions on the Hizack can't wait to see a possible Dijeh, Baund Doc, and Byalant.
>>10744579Id say the huge amount of weaponry shouldnt be a plus at all but a given considering this is a premium priced item. The astreas, exia, and xbones has a ton of shit off the top of my head.
>>10743255I remembered why I don’t like Zeta; other than the MkII I can’t stand these designs
>>10744775I was the same way for a while. The zeta designs didn't click for me until I saw the way certain artists rendered them, or how some gunpla modelers approached them. The titans MS are all over the place though which I think is a bit of an issue, they lack the uniformity you'd expect from a military faction.Zeon MS in the original series didn't have this issue. Although some of them were pretty goofy and had strange gimmicks there was a strong sense of cohesion.Gundam Unicorn did a decent job at making some of the designs like the Byarlant and Asshimar look like they fit into a federation-derived aesthetic.
>>10744747It's pretty bullshit, the barebones releases are around 250 these days and there's no way they'd offer almost twice as much toy in accessory volume at "only" 300. The MRDs are as expensive as MBs were just 2 years ago! I paid 18k for my Exia Devise, which had a cool backpack with sub-arms and that big ass sword! Now MRDs are the same price and any MB with more than 2 accessories is gonna be over 30k. I'm a huge 00fag so if they ever hit up Kyrios and Virtue I'll probably cough up the money for it, but I'm pretty tapped out of both lines at this point. RDs are starting to push it, but at least general releases go below retail pretty quickly.>>10744722The yellow fins stuck out when the thrusters are activated I'm pretty sure. Personally I think it's pretty ugly with them sticking out so I just keep them tucked in for a little yellow accent.
>>10744832It really is barebonesish with a huge price jump.Hi nu is way too much for what it is worth as a general release and dont get me started on the latest few p-bandai MB. The metal composites are getting up there too sadly.I will break and be a bitch if they decide to release a gohst gundam MB since the xbones are some of my favorite designs despite my dislike for the lanky feelings MBs. I already got nearly all my favorite gundam designs as a mb so it hurts less missing a release now.
>>10744918Yeah the Hi Nu was incredibly disappointing, and after two runs and QC issues it sat in stock in a lot of places for a while. I wound up getting it stateside for 360 altogether and felt pretty bad about it when I saw random purple marks on the rifle, over the feet, really sucked the joy out of the toy for me and I was pretty cautious about the line with these issues at that pricepoint, but if they do suits I love I'm gonna cave. I don't have any of crossbones myself, I know one of the releases wasn't too expensive on the aftermarket. The X-1 I think, but not the full cloth? If I remember the full cloth was p-bandai at some outrageous price
>>10744928Yes both full clothes were on p bandai for 270 a pop before shipping and tax.It was when releases started rising in price. The fcs were loaded with shit though since i wasnt too mad.
A wild Phantasm Vierres got back in stock! I’d been eyeing for this mf for so long that I gave up entirely. And speaking of which, I was pleasantly surprised to see that 17k yen is only like 115 bucks now. Didn’t realized it went this much to the shitter lol
>>10744775Sorry about your shit taste.
>>10744970He's not wrong, Gundam has shit mechanical design outside of 79.It has shit design inside of 79 too but it's excusable for being the original, a sequel has no business committing such crimes of the senses as Baund Doc.
>>10745009NTA but you're really in the wrong thread if you feel that way.
>>10745009That sure is some abhorrent taste you got there.
>>10744519>Doesn't exactly look like it jumped off the screen but it looks fine. A little disappointing after all this time though.I had to go back to the 1985 lineart for Zeta to see how these designs had changed over 38 years. The changes made by gunpla to these designs over the years can make you forget what the original designs looked like. The Hi-zack in >>10744231looked too squat, but looking at the lineart, it actually does look like that. The ANIME line is truly the original look of mobile suits, good or bad.
>>10743978Quick update, looks like BBTS probably got a few dissatisfied emails. Price isn’t exactly competitive but it’s a little more within reason.
>>10746195Still not worth it, cheaper to ship from Japan.
>>10744775I can understand most of them but how do you NOT find hyaku shiki cool?
>>10745165You might be right. It's hard to tell from some angles.
>>10746253Gold isn’t really my jam, but I do concede it’s a nice design.
>>10746253nta but flashy gold is a turn off for me
>>10745009>cherrypicking baund doc>"da original is da only good one" LARPHello secondary!
Dunno where to ask here or gunpla gen so ill be posting in both. Have any of you bought the smp srx? Asking because it is like fucking hyper expensive for a modelkit so i want to know why. This banpresto is like 40k yen.
>>10747754SMP is always stupid overpriced.
>>10747765Yeah youre right. I only ever bought the mmbn set which came out to 75 usd for 4 models but than they released a 2 pack for megaman exe at the same price. Guess I'll skip this than. 40000 yen for a model kit is absurd and they want 7.5k more for a rgun set.Cant believe i got priced out of metal builds and model kits.
>>10747754oh fuck they are making the Banpreios? holy shit>SMPyeah no, this will be a p-bandai and overpriced as shitthe previous SRX was fucking bullshit as they made the R-2 and R-3 a p bandai exclusive bundle and on top of that there was another exclusive effect parts set for you to display either the individual R series with all their stuff or the ultimate SRX full burst version, it was ridiculous, to the point the Sentinel brick was cheaper
>>10743978tell me why i should not buy the lancelot?ps. money is not an issue.
>>10748040I mean there isn’t necessarily any reason to not buy it, it’s more that BBTS has a higher markup than many other middlemen/online retailers. You can get it for cheaper, I’ve seen a few listings around $270 which is much closer to the actual conversion rate, but that’s not factoring in shipping. I got my Guren from BBTS since it was already sold out pretty much everywhere else (BBTS had their listing up a month late) before I had the budget to grab it, and I had store credit to burn. BBTS will probably have the PO in stock until release (byproduct of charging more than their competitors) so if you’re a latecomer it’s an option. If money is not an issue at all for you, BBTS is fine service-wise, they just tend to get figures, especially imports, a couple months later than everyone else. If you can find it for cheaper, don’t bother, but if you don’t care then go for it. Just be glad this is a retail release in the US, BBTS’ markups on P-Bandai releases are utterly deranged (the MRD Prototype ZZ is up for nearly the same price as the Lancelot is, for instance).
>>10747754SMP is ridiculously overpriced for what it is and banpreios has none of the engineering the SRX did, they are just charging this because its huge and ultimately something few people would buy even at half the price; SRX was already a niche product, this is even more so. They know the only people who want this thing will pay out the ass for it.
>>10748077oh i was expecting more about the design/gimmick etc not being good. is this mb poseable?
>>10747754The SRX is a nice kit and it's great it can do so much between all 4 robots and the combined form, it's just niche and expensive and as >>10747887 said, splitting it across 3 sets didn't help matters. You are getting a lot of parts and pre-painted bits, and way too many effect parts but the price is crazy.I'm still also crazy enough to get Banpreios despite the price, I really enjoyed building the SRX and it's a miracle we're getting Banpreios from anyone, let alone Bandai themselves.
>>10747754>40k yenyou could buy one The Gattai robot with that money
>>10748548you built the SMP SRX kit? post some pics please
It's almost December and they still haven't shipped it...WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF??!
>DX VF31J Kai and 31J Super Parts for $360 including the shipping Let's fucking goooooooo
>>10748398Metal Builds are always fully articulated, but diecast joints means that regular handling isn’t advisable. With regards to the CG MB line, the Guren was great with the only real issue being the shitty stand connector (and at least on my copy detaching the inner wing effect parts is scary as shit and I nicked one of the nubs first time around). Metal Builds as a whole have been subject to substantial price hikes in recent years, so it’s really about whether or not a 1/100 diecast figure is worth the price of admission to you.
>>10748599Sure. Again, the SMP is nice, but the Sentinel ones seem really great with their lovely finish too, I'm glad we've got a few options for modern OG merch, both kits and figures.
>>10749073looks great but it needs the stand to hold up the sword? bummerhave yuu tried the HTB Cannon pose with the R Gun yet?
I'm in the market for transformable & anime accurate figures of Com-Battler V and Voltes V.Could anyone confirm that both SOC GX-50 and DX SOC Com-Battler V have perfect transformations (with nothing to remove/add between modes) while the DX SOC Voltes V is the only one with a perfect transformation please? Also is there anything wrong with any of these three figures? Anything that would make one of the Com-Battler V objectively better than the other?
>>10749210G-Defensor for Super Gundam will be P-Bandai I bet.
>>10750437>Big Zam got a RD before a HGUC kitWhat fucking universe are we living in?
>>10750000The DX SOC Combattler V is bigger, has the sound and light up gimmicks, and more well put together than its previous GX version. If you're going to get one, get that. Same goes for the DX SOC Voltes V.
>>10750773It's a massive display piece, they had it in a no-photo zone back in like 2016 when the ANIME line first took off. If they released one I doubt they'd release this massive one, we'd probably get some pissy scaled down one that's still pretty big but not so huge.
>>10750892You forget the time that they made the HMR Destroid Monster, I take it?Prepare the Styrofoam sarcophagus.
>>10748568more like two
Am I supposed to just keep pushing it in? I feel like it'll break if I put full force onto it.
>>10751091I did forget, and looking at pics the Big Zam is definitely bigger. Even with the skinnier legs taking up less plastic on the lower half, the Destroid Monster was 40cm long at the cannons, and the Big Zam looks around 50cm or more compared to the Zaku next to it, which is around 12cm. The Big Zam would be a 50k release minimum, P-Bandai, if it even happened.
>>10751091Not even remotely comparable.
>>10751800Heat it up first then do as the lady says.
>>10751800It's a massive pain in the ass, yes. I gave up and just went bit-on mode, I think the RD looks great with it and the stands are tight as a bitch, long as fuck, I don't feel like I can easily recreate any formations from the anime, it's just dumb. But yeah, heat it up first.
Anyone know somewhere that has definitely not fucked EZ-8s? That's my all time favorite mobile suit I just found out they made a robot spirits but I want one that isn't deformed slightly.
>>10751974I'm just pointing out that Bandai has done the batshit insane move in the past, a limited release for super collectors who can afford the room space for something furniture sized isn't without precedent. But it's definitely going to be for hard-core collector superfan types. That's how it went with the Monster, that thing was most certainly not meant to be part of a casual collection with its size.
>>10752659The error isn't even that noticeable, that said I'm selling one because I somehow ordered 2 and one got delayed for the fixed version.Never opened it.
>>10751800You can just put it in some very warm water for a little while. It should get just soft enough to pop in. alternatively, hit it with the hairdryer for a couple seconds
>>10744966Congrats on the find! AP Vierres is a heavy favourite of the RD Collection, just gets beat by the TV Vierres by a bit with the more-fun-as-a-toy design for me. Just a bit of a heads up, middle set of the wings were very scary to pop off after these initial pics; so wouldn't attach the wings on this one unless you plan to always leave them attached I'm sorry...Got a cheapy Botune on the way, and looking at the Sirbine (shield ver.) or Bellvine next. >>10748733>>10751328Is this a new MRD of the Dunbine?>>10752659Most JP/import sites that'll still be selling them online will mark either one in some way. Most reliable I think though for you is Mandarake. They got a few with "fixed/revised" in the AD title, and are going for 5-5.5k Yen.Personally considering picking up a few of these 'error' body one with the prices they're going for amoung the JP collectors that missed the exchange window I guess? Get a small squad and one to franken mod maybe hahaha!
>>10743389I hope that shield attachment could rotate the shield so it doesn't have the elbow shield syndrome. Will decide once reviews are out. I will at least get all the Gen 1.5 MS up to Galbaldy Beta and GM II.
>>10753477all the dunbine line's wings are pretty scary to me, i wish they had the wings plug in on seperate, non-clear pieces with the ball joints on those, instead of having clear plastic ball joints. I haven't put them on most of mine as it makes storing them away nerve wracking as clear plastic really shouldn't be subjected to that kind of stress repeatedly.
>>10753122>Is this a new MRD of the Dunbine?regular RD. Based off some old art that depicted the Dunbine a bit fancier and more detailed than it looked in the series.
>>10753477Every time I searched the MyFigureCollection Japanese name on Mandarake I only came up with the ones with the 2 left ankle armors, I finally just searched for the whole line after seeing your post and came up with 2 different EZ-8 listings and I will be buying one of the fixed ones. Thanks a lot.
Why are the prices for G frame Hyakushiki higher than G frame FA Hyakushiki?I thought the FA is supposed to be better.
