Does anyone here own the knockoff Yukikaze? I really like her design, and the mold seems pretty good, but I couldn't find much info on the bootleg aside from Aliexpress reviews and one dude on youtube. I'd like to know how the figure feels, if there's anything egregious to look out for or if it's just routine care all bootlegs need, like loosening joints with a hairdryer and tightening a few others.Be nice to know about the other ones as well, Asagi, Sakura and the magical girl. I got Arina and compared her to my Hon body off Amazon JP, there's more differences than just the bust size at the upper torso but Arina isn't any taller due to calf length like the review anon said. My Arina and Hon body only differ in the titties and the upper legs, she's got a somewhat nerfed ass and I think the lower body sculpt is ever so slightly different but it might be lighting since Arina has a more matte finish. Both of them are amazing bucks, China is doing great atm, I just wish their quality control was better because my Arina has uneven legs and neck. I asked not long ago about a body for the Jakk's Zelda to head swap. The Hobby Base light flesh isn't too bad. Skin matches close enough I think. Had to use a little hot glue, literal not the other kind, to get the peg to stay in the head. Too bad they don't have a body with thicker proportions.

>>10742920I own a handful of bootlegs, though no Taimanin ones, I could tell you my experience with those.I'll try to take some pictures after some sleep to give you a good idea what to expect, but there's plenty of things I recall off the top of my head.Firstly, you'll frequently have to do some tweaks. Have nail polish, a hairdryer, cuticle nippers, small pliers and sandpaper ready. An exacto knife if you're confident in not slicing something important. Most work I've ever done was 1.0 Arts Kai 2B, had to blow a hairdryer on her and the Machine to be able to move them, then had to nip several nubs on the machine and tighten it's joints. Also had to glue 2B's skirt back on when the factory's wasn't enough. Great figure though.Secondly never go too far from a 15-25 dollar range, either way, and be suspicious of good deals. Anything beyond 12 bucks is unlikely to be worth your money and anything above might be overpriced, not a solid rule for the latter though, you just might find a good figure. In my case I got a really good Figma Sinon for 15, no fixes required, but was also screwed over by a 25 dollar Jeanne that had extremely fragile accessories and whose hip keeps popping off. Finding a good seller is crucial, I don't recommend buying from ones without reviews unless you don't mind gambling away some money.Third, try to predict cut corners.some stuff is obvious, like paint being a bit sloppy on less important bits or a plastic skirt being too hard, but something like Revoltech joints being replaced by standard friction might not cross your mind till the Evangelion you just bought falls flat on it's face after posing. Always try to hunt for what did they screw with to lower the cost, and be suspicious if there's nothing. You can assume they won't cut something crucial, like said Eva's light up feature on Sachiel.There are some people who review bootlegs, but they're less for recommendation and more to train your eyes.

You'll still need to find some kind of adapter (or use Blue Tac) for the neck - Snail Shell heads use a very, very small balljoint for the neck, while the 86toys 'Pixiv' body uses one that falls somewhere between that and a Megami Device's joint - too big for Snail Shell, but too small for MD right out of the box. The joint DOES come out, though, and the rubber 'collar' can stretch a bit to hold another, bigger peg (though you lose the ability to turn the head down, since it's not anchored to anything). I've posted pics of me using it on my Arcanadea Velretta in a previous thread, and accomplished that by removing Velretta's entire neck assembly and stuffing it into the 'sleeve'.Haven't found a good, permanent solution yet short of looking for another neck peg of similar size and shaving down one end until it fits in a Snail Shell head, and another anon just used Blue Tac to hold it in, but maybe someone else out there found a better workaround
