Personally I think the Figma's faces suck. The coat design is better. SHF has great articulation and the faces are really nice. Same goes for Nobara but in that case the figma is just plain better except the faces suck. Faces are a dealbreaker to me and SHF tends to be more expressive.

That said I wanna topcoat my Power matte, but I don't wanna fuck it up. If I had an airbrush I'd feel more confident but this would have to be a rattle can job. Is there a completely retard proof way of doing it?

See it this way:

The Figma retails around 12k yen (might have dropped, but that was the original price) and give you Denji parts to work with, but suffer from being two in one, because you have only one set of Chainsaw Man arms and no blood.

The SHF both retail for around 6k to 7k yen, so in a technical sense, you can get both for just a bit over what you would pay for the Figma on release. This gives you not only an extra body to fuck around with so you don't actually need to bother with swapping back and forth, but SHF Denji also comes with a few more accessories than the Figma. Two more faces for Pochita, the magazine, and I think a few more hands and expressions. The SHF Chainsaw Man is also bloodied and has multiple hand options to go with it, rather than just the one from the Figma.

Personally, hell yeah I'll pay 1 to 1.5k yen extra for a full SHF body (which is one of their better engineered bodies this year) and the accessories that didn't come with the Figma.

I'd love it if we could have a separate thread where people can request specific figures in poses with their sketches but idk if we have enough people who'll want to submit drawings. That other draw thread was really fun for a bit, I submitted the amazing yamaguchi christmas venom drawing there, but it already is running out of steam. I suppose simple sketches are more accessible and take way less time though

Regardless I have the SHF Power so if you do post some sketches I'd be happy to participate :)

maybe if the back segment is soft like the sides are? We'll have to see because even that could get in the way, plus the hair. Here's another pic of the side to show how it gets in the way. That back piece has no articulation at the torso like the main body, it just goes straight downwards from the upper back

The torso adjustment helped with the arm but now it was too far forward for her butt to touch the ground since the jacket keeps her "hovering"
I think the Three-Zero would be able to get poses like this since it's all cloth but with the plastic jacket of the SHF and some joints being a bit limited, it's hard
Also factoring in I don't want to break her and theses poses are making her joints squeak like hell lol

Another general tip on posing: covering part of the face with a hand can sometimes get you a different expression. I'm not sure about it because I don't have the figure, but the claw hand against the mouth of a scared/embarrassed face should get you some kind of nail-biting effect. Same with any serious/sad face and covering the eyes with a fist get you a sobbing crying effect

Nah mine broke lol. Had her in too crazy of an action pose for too long where her leg was pushing the soft plastic out. All the pics I took here with it in are me posing her then slotting it back in place, it falls out if shes moved at all now

I'm not acquainted with Figuarts. How's the wrist articulation? I assume it's a ball hinge thingy like on other figures I have. In that case you can just pull it up and then turn it on its axis, then turn the hand so it's leaning down.
