Do lime green pieces actually break more? I knew someone with hahli who didnt have any cracks that i know of, I have a few hand connector pieces in lime that dont seem brittle. The only pieces that break for me are the phantoka molds, regardless of color. Is there any actual evidence or proof of lime green being brittle? Maybe someone just broke some green parts and assumed it was because of the color and everyone started believing it.

What are your experiences, gathered friends?
>>
>>10735434
I bought an Ehlek sealed and one of the hand pieces was cracked straight out of the box. Apparently it was an issue because Lego changed how their plastic is cooled, and there's something about the way the lime green pigment was made that made it more brittle. You have to make sure your lime green parts come from Keelerak or Nui Rama, otherwise you're one bad day away from losing the part.
>>
>>10735049
Bohrok Man and Noah Productions. Ignition 1 and 2 introduced me to generation one.
>>10735455
I heard about this. Why didn’t lego recall the defective lime green sets?
>>
>>10735456
It was probably too expensive, and this was when Lego was really hurting for cash so they changed the original formula to save some money in the first place.
As for the 2008 joints, I asked about it a while back and someone gave this answer.
>They're structurally unsound. A classic socket distributes the pressure from being forced apart into its base and a CCBS socket is thick enough to bear the strain either way, angleshit suffers from being both too thin at the tip and relying on a straight line to take the pressure rather than a curve. Better plastic might close the gap, as I suspect is the case with HF pieces, but it's still inferior to a classic socket of the same or better grade of plastic.
>>
>>10735434
Not all lime green, just like green released in 2007 (especially the second half of 2007), all 2008 parts regardless of color are equally brittle and arguably more brittle than the 2007 lime green.
Lime green parts from all years before 2006 is fine, just like every other color, I'd say pre-2007, the main socket pieces to watch out for were 2004 metru matoran bohrok feet, and 2006 Visorak Thighs / Piraka Thighs.

>>
>>10735658
I still have some belief the rumors of 2025 aren't bullshit. I need to see more of the leaks and what parts are introduced first, because I have a strong feeling they're going to continue to refine the weird constraction/System hybrid they've been working on.
>>
>>10735434
I recently got a tanma miru, and the axle ended up being half broken. I've never had this happen with any other mask or piece, even the other Phantoka I did have. It's together, but wiggles when I have it in a headpiece. I need to find the relevant glue for it.

Finished another build. It's the Nui-Jaga combiner model this time. You can fit two Matoran on the bird, just like on the online game.
>>
>>10735999
Was it able to fit them before the modifications you made, or did it need those to work?
>>
>>10736009
They can fit without mods. The mods seen on my model are mostly just cosmetic.
>>
>>10736015
Dope, that's a fun addition to them. Had I known I'd have built a Kafu ages ago, I just never liked the look enough to tear apart my Nui-Jaga.
>>
>>10736021
Yeah, the base Nui-Jaga models do look really good, so I can see why you wouldn't want to do the combiner. I just have a preference for large Lego models, which most of the Bionicle combiners are.
>>
>>10736024
Do you have them up on display? I did the same for at least the larger rahi combiners, but I only have so much room at the moment to put other combiners together.

>Qott: What kind of Bionicle videos do you prefer to watch? Reviews, lore, stop-motion, shitposts or…?
I mostly watch review videos. I like seeing others opinions on the sets I own, and I also use them to determine what sets to buy next. I do enjoy lore videos as well. The Bionicle theme has so many good stories within it, so I'm more than happy to listen to muti hour long telling of the lore on YouTube. Good background noise while i do my house chores.
>>
>>10736032
I'll post a photo of my set up later today. I'm about to do a Rahkshi combiner build, so it's better for me to snap a photo of my set up after I'm done with that build. Just keep the thread open, and I'll send it to you.

If bionicle comes back they should just do the g1 system, there's lots of cool new technic pieces that can be used and i don't think anyone really cares about mixel or hero factory pieces. personally i probably won't buy any if they dont go back to that system, system hybrid and hero factory parts look like shit

Are your boxes in good condition? I kept all mine for a long time but most of them were stored poorly or chewed by one of my many cats, a few years back I ended up throwing out pretty much all of them since they werent in display-worthy shape at all. The only survivors were my Takavuna box and a few Turaga and Bohrok Va.
>>

Most of them are, but I will admit my Takavuna box is super beat up. Not unusably damaged, mind you, but it's seen better days.

Okay, last build I8'm showing off today. I got the rest of the pieces in the mail, so I was able to finish my B4 era Toa MOC. I went with the red eye version of the model, I think it looks better than the yellow eyed one. I also wanted to get a custom black Vahi made for this MOC, but the gut I contacted to do the job ghosted me, So I guess that's not happening....

Yeah I really fucking hope the GWP wasn't a sign of things to come, I'm not interested in generic system mixelmech shit made of 90% 1x2 curved slopes and a print (or god forbid, a st*cker) for the mask. That shit may fly for a one-off thing but not a full line.
>>
>>10736275
It did, and they were pretty great. Biggest complaint is their reuse of their head parts, but they all were unique builds. Not as strong as the rahi sets, but they each had an action feature at least. Plus they were the cheapest sets, can only ask for so much.

Today I made a kappa-like MOC doing a challenge where you have to make a creation out of three large scoops of random pieces (axles and pins you're allowed to pull at any time).

My favourite Bionicle videos are the ones from the Golden Age of BioTube like Kylernuva and BioRockDude. Good thing there's still a bunch of channels and new channels going strong. iDS just made a new Onipex and Pals yesterday too.

I even made stop motion videos until my dad broke our camera and I'm looking to get back into it someday because I've recently rekindled my love for Bionicle again. A damn shame I joined the fandom after they hit a lull period twice. My most popular YouTube stop motion was a Skull Grinder vs Umarak video where I forgot to put the in-video links to the optional endings.

Also question: What happened to the Custom Bionicle Wiki? Is it dead? Looks like it hasn't been updated in years but I'm trying to update my articles and write more stories again. Cheers, friend!

Got around to finishing the fan written version of Invasion on Myths and Legacy. It was pretty good. The author managed to capture Greg's writing pretty well, with some kino quotes to go along with it.
>“You were born in war!” The mutant snarled. “You were shaped by it as I was, and you deserve the punishment every bit as much as we did. The Pit yawns for you, runners. You belong as prisoners of the Pit.”
There were a few things I didn't like, though. The Zyglak and Vezon barely mattered in the Toa Inika's journey through the Cord. And there were way too many jump cuts to focus on side stories that didn't matter to the main plot, like Lesovikk and Karzahni entering the Pit, Barek learning about the Shattering, Krahka's adventures on Voya Nui, and the author's OC villain group the Borakoa. It fell into the same trappings that a lot of fanfic authors fell into, where they try to cram in as many references to canon events and lore that it takes you a bit out of the story. Did we NEED a crash course on the Matoran Civil War? Or Hahli just listing out a bunch of elemental villages that she should not even know about? At the very least, the author Jeff Douglas was able to tie these random lore drops with character development and motives. Like how Jaller posits that the reason they were chosen to revive Mata Nui was because of how this was their second chance to atone for their transgressions during the Matoran Civil War.
Good characterisations all around. Jaller and Hahli had a very nice bonding moment, Nuparu was able to do more nerd stuff (even if that led nowhere), and seeing the Mask of Life's guardians just winding down after their job was done was a pretty fun moment. Not my ideal version of the missing Invasion novel, but it's good enough for what it is

>>
>>10736054
I think it should be a mix of the two. CCBS style joints but replace the middle ball with an axle socket. That way you can connect to older pieces by using only one axle pin and shell pieces would have zero gaps as a result.

Did anyone else find it weird how McMacku was the only McToran to not have a recolored Toa mask? I guess they couldn't come up with any good complimentary colors for blue, but I still wanted a recolored Kaukau.
>>
>>10739227
I think maybe they just ran out of tertiary colours after the other five, since this was before m*tru shades.
What's more disappointing is that they didn't recolour one for Hahli even though they gave her dark blue feet.
>>
>>10739227
I always assumed it was because they didn't want to make the Kaukau in a solid color and the transparent plastic was too expensive for McD's.
>>
>>10737732
Yeah, but at least it actually came out. Some of the good guys and bad guys were literally never produced as official sets.

The weapons were cool or recycled, but it was definitely a "fizzle-out" for bionicle. Bionicle saves lego, and the one time it struggles they throw it out like a cheap whore.
>>
>>10740333
It sucks just how much Lego ignores Bionicle considering its legacy
>>
>>10740369
G2 flopped, so Bionicle is worthless in Lego's eyes. At best, we'll get more FOMO GWP Bionicle sets in the future.
>>
>10740375
Fuck off
>>
>>10740369
Ju...Just wait until late 2024-2025, we'll be back then.

On a serious note, I built some MOC Toa based on the GWP design but with articulation also at the wrists, balls at the elbow, better torso articulation, ankles, but it's still relatively simple with ~130-160 pieces each. If they were to make Toa sets for around $15 each, I don't think that'd be too unreasonable. Assuming they also introduce at least a new head piece and unique mask piece, that would knock off a few pieces.
>>
>>10740390
>I-It's okay if new Bionicle sets are pure curved system slopes and mixel joints as long as there's one (1) new piece!
You are why we don't deserve a G3.
>>
no technic no bionicle, simple as
>>
>>10740853
I agree, the GWP Tahu set was alright as a one off thing, but I do not want an entire wave to have that kind of build.
>>
>>10740853
You're assuming that they won't just make more detailed parts, especially leading up to it. Doesn't seem likely they'd be willing to make all that many new parts for a theme they're not sure will succeed.

>>10740891
Technic would be great, but they're clearly not going to make as many new parts as they did for G1. Like with G2 it'd be using the basis of what exists now, which is the SCCBS pieces. I would like new mask pieces and the like but if we don't get a G3 that's ok, though I would be interested in a new non Bionicle character creator theme, which maybe wouldn't get these knee jerk reactions.
>>
>>10740895
>>10740853
Yeah I don't get this whole "tHeY sHoUlD mAkE g3 iN tHiS sTyLe" mentality, it's literally peak r*ddit consoomer. Don't think about silly stuff like new pieces or thematic consistency, just shut up and buy [product] because it has the [franchise] logo on the box.
>>
>>10740910
They are are just System Brick drones that want to further snuff out the superior Technic style.
>>
>>10740369
>ignores
Anon they literally keep putting references into sets. If they didn't give a shit they'd try to bury it for good. We know a major chunk of the designers at LEGO love Bionicle as well, and likely if given the chance would implement a revival in a heartbeat.

What you said and he said isn't mutually exclusive. You even say "if given the chance", but the one to give the designers the chance would be Lego the corporation that doles out the money to the designers. That said, I don't think they hate it, otherwise they wouldn't have ok'd the GWP (though I don't think it's any different than say Blacktron, Castle, etc, just nostalgia themes for aging fans), they merely go where the money is and they don't trust that there is any in Bionicle at the moment. Further, it's a bit of an unusual theme, not being that core Lego system, and grouped more in the step child that is Technic, so whenever there are things like the Lego movie, Technic is rarely a part of it in any capacity outside of its functions, which have been integrated into various system sets. Basically Bionicle played a part in Lego's history, and Lego was better for it. They may not talk about it all that often, and it's significance may never really be stressed, but it's still always featured in historical pieces, at least.

Bionicle was also one of the 3 themes featured on that hat with patches recently, so that's another bone. I'd like to think that eventually they'll release a Bionicle 3 Virtues coin too.

want to make Ga-Koro, but every time I try and make it out of Lego, the bricks look really weird when paired with the Technic pieces of the figures. I'm not sure if I'm just being autistic or these figures just work better in natural looking environments

Have been looking for the powered up matorans and found a lot with 5 of them, along with a bonus Nuparu and bohrok and some "rare masks".. yeah.

Paid 50 bucks for all of it. Probably my best haul yet.
>>
>>10742070
There's a fucking gold Hau. You bet that's rare. I bought a ton of packs and didn't get a single silver or gold Hau.
>>

I mean yeah, the only thing you could say isn't that rare is the Bohrok. Everything else is pretty great, especially all at just $50.
Still can't believe how expensive this hobby is becoming.

I could be mistaken, but I think the gold/silver masks only came in the 2002 Krana/mask packs, not the original 2001 mask packs.
>>
>>10742293
Yes that's right. Toa and Turaga masks in the original mask packs in their colors respective available colors (including the ones that come in the sets), then gold and silver Toa Mata masks in the Krana packs. I tried to get a set of each mask in gold and silver but ended up with mismatched sets, not a single one in both gold and silver, and no Hau at all.

Prices for Bionicle have shot through the roof ever since the covid lockdowns, and I don't think the prices are going to drop anytime soon. If there's any sets you want, you better get them now before the prices get too crazy.

Gotta love how much cooler Bionicle made Lego according to the research. Plus that first year did incredibly. It'd be even more interesting to see subsequent years. We know it was getting higher and higher until a point, so it'd be interesting the peak and fall. Plus the 2015 sales would be interesting, on top of how much in the way of resources they put into it.

It's not like there's an infinite amount of Bionicle sets. We're going to run out eventually and the prices will just keep going up until then

I get that the infected one comes in a set (which includes 2) and the black one was only available from mask packs, but shouldn't the only painted mask piece be worth more than one that you can make by leaving the former in a jar of solvent for a couple nights?
Granted, most people probably wouldn't destroy an infected Hau to save $4, I know which one I'd rather have more of when I already have at least one of each.

I think he said the ease of searching, plus UI. For a more casual person buying parts on Bricklink probably is daunting, but the sets are nearly organized. Silence. Canisters are the perfect storage method for Bionicle. I hated how all the G2 sets were in flimsy cardboard boxes that are so fragile, you can damage them by just looking at it funny. While my 2001 canisters are still in amazing condition thanks to their durable design.

There's no reason they couldn't add extra sculpted detail to the heads to make them look decent. Sigma Six from Gi Joe managed to translate a heavily stylized look into plast just fine, and I feel like had Lego tried for something similar it would've worked better. The face that none of the CCBS heads had actual eyes sculpted on and just had prints on top of flat surfaces just looked horrible. Even Galidor managed with scuplted eyes. The CCBS figures were such a bungle.

Bionicle GWP #2 electric boogaloo?
>>
>>10749352
Let's say we are getting another GWP, if there was such a thing what would you think is the way to go? Sounds like it'd be another character build if the face print was the point of focus. Who aside from Tahu would be iconic enough to warrant another focused set? I'd think probably only Takanuva. I like the Tahu set but it feels standalone. If they suddenly do another Toa it'd feel like they need to do them all. Plus, as much as I like it, the design could be improved, but as a GWP it feels like they'd have to stick with the current formula.
>>
>>10749443
I think if they went with another GWP, they ought to return to the Takanuva idea like you'd said. The model they showed was clearly well received, and I think it would be even more popular despite the increased price threshold.
>>
>>10749533
As someone that built something similar irl, as long as they rethink those knees. Really bad design. Bad range of movement and easily breaks apart.

If they did that though, suddenly you have GWP Tahu and Takua and a completely distinct and different Takanuva, so basically a second standalone piece. I've made my own GWP-inspired Toa, so I wouldn't mind something so distinct from the first, but I'd wonder if some wouldn't prefer having a more coherent and unified look. That said, they're surely not going to tackle every Toa in GWP format, so they'd probably be better off not doing this.
>>

After the original GWP was revealed, there were some designer interviews that showed prototypes at different price levels. The original concepts were a set of minimalist Toa Mata, a variant of the set we got, and that Takanuva. Big reason that one didn't get made was because it would have been something akin to a $200 threshold.
>>10750095
Weird fucking dude but he's still great. I should get his mask sometime.
All of the titan combiners are various levels of jank, but I think each is still pretty grand. Just a shame they gave up on that in 2007, 2008, and 2009. I'd have loved to see some combiners with the battle vehicles.
>>
>>10750147
Ah I see. What I don't understand is why Tahu and Takua GWP was limited to certain eligible sets instead of just buying whatever from the lego store like any other GWP.
>>
>>10750158
They never said, I don't think. I guess they just figured they could get people who really wanted it to buy some specific sets. When it came back with Blacktron with the $200 or so threshold, I think you could get any sets at that point, so not a consistent restriction, it seems .
>>
>>10749443
The GWP feels standalone because it is a standalone display piece, no surprise there. If they were to do a proper nostalgia big display set using a similar or altered brickbuilt style I would rather see one toa display for each major year, there's a lot of options and scenarios they could go for. As long as they don't do the stupid thing of making yet another Tahu mata I wouldn't worry about the collectibility of the existing GWP. And if the focus is openly inaction figures then it goes on the adults shelf of understandably fragile for looks sets like flowers or basedwars.
If the designs are good enough then diehard collectors will be able to piece their own rest of the team provided the recolors and masks exist. A better (more exploiting) solution thinking only of collectors (checklist dumbasses) would be a 10 in 1 creator set with every year, a normal person can make the ones he wants the most and an abnormal person buys ten boxes.
I am simply tired of Tahu and his Hau as the poster boy for a decade of toys and lore, admittedly in part because I didn't have a Tahu growing up and he is not an important part of my experience but I know am not alone in this.
>>
>>10750178
Tahu was my favorite growing up and my first purchase, so I love the Tahu love, but I understand how you feel cause rarely is my favorite character the leader/main character. The Hau is undoubtedly the most iconic mask of Bionicle though, so it's understandable that if a mask were to get representation it makes sense that it'd be it. I don't think we need more GWP, honestly, though I appreciate the Bionicle representation. If we get more I'd like to see something new, like an actual new element, but that just doesn't tend to happen in something like a GWP. Maybe it'll be something like new CMF with little mask helmets. They could then be reused as costumes in a Ninjago City set or something like that.
>>
>>10750158
>>10750162
Nope, they never explained that one. Best speculation everyone had was that since it was a Lego internal theme, they'd limit it to Lego internal themes. Obviously it was a dumb idea since most Bionicle fans didn't give a shit about younger kids sets, but who knows.
May have been a ploy to plan the seed in kids' minds and get them curious about it, too. I was just happy to get into Monkie Kid as a result.
>>

>Best speculation everyone had was that since it was a Lego internal theme, they'd limit it to Lego internal themes.
So is Majisto, City sets, and countless other GWP though.
>>
>>10750263
Wait was Majisto limited? Or are you saying Majisto was an internal theme?
Either way that's why there's been so much speculation, because only the Bionicle GWP received that treatment, which is why it's so unusual. Like the other anon said, Blacktron didn't have the restriction either. And before anyone tries it's not out of spite, Lego wouldn't kneecap themselves when they're trying to sell their own products.
>>
>>10750280
Saying that all those are internal themes and rarely limited. I don't think it's so much kneecapping, more that they trusted that Bionicle fans are desperate enough to buy whatever they're offering. With no sales data who knows how well it did, but that they brought it back and limited to the Blacktron threshold (rather than staggered, like the recent Majisto and Winter City type set that had different thresholds) I'd have to think that it at least did fairly well.

>What about be bad about this set?
On it's own? Ultimately nothing. In a situation where Bionicle effectively doesn't exist and Lego shits out this thing? Literally the only message you'll be sending anyone by buying it is that you want more shit like this. But "this" literally isn't Bionicle. It's a fucking lego set

>the hell do you mean by G2 being "chima shit?"
Look at them. There is literally nothing about G2 that separates it from shit like hero fagtory and chima outside of the absolute most superficial features. Literal autists who will buy anything with a Bionicle sticker on it (while ironically enough not even giving a shit about what Bionicle actually is) love it though, but if you actually liked Bionicle to begin with it doesn't take a genius to see that it shares nothing in common with actual Bionicle. Bionicle is technic. Bionicle is not shitty recycled skeletons with smooth dogshit shell plating with fucking stickers on them to cover up said skeletons. G2 is like everything that was wrong with the Inika build amplified by a 100
>>
>>10751316
Okay, I can see your first point. I don't think Lego is dumb enough to think that they could fully replace Bionicle in a System format, the designers know the core of the build that attracted people in the first place. Even if they implemented more system in a future reboot, they'd never let it become the core.
>G2
I can understand your point, but I'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm not a huge fan of the CCBS build, or at least what it ended up becoming. That being said, G2 was probably the peak of that system with the level of Technic integration they were pulling off in the builds, especially with the Uniters, Creatures, and Beasts. No it wasn't perfect, but it was a good showing of some creativity with the system and giving some unique builds while they did it. Honestly, comparing G2 builds at any point to the Inika build is giving way too little credit to them.

>>10751214
>she

>>10751433
Any technic integration in G2 was meaningless since everything was covered by the stupid shells. G1 really drives in the mechanical detail and texture of every piece
>>
Bionicle comes back next year as a City subtheme.

Lego City Bionicle.
>>
>>10751433
What he>>10751529 also said. It's practically irrelevant how complex the G2 builds actually are, or whether or not they incorporate gear mechanisms or whatever bullshit they did, when the entire line desperately tries to mask and obscure all of it so they just look the exact same as every other CCBS action figure

The point of "technic" is that things are and look "technical". Being blatantly technic defined the golden era of Bionicle. Look at the fucking Rahi, most of them make you think of tanks or some shit because their organic aspects are very secondary and your imagination does a lot of the work for that aspect

Okay I think I'm on the same page now. We were coming at this from different angles but I think we can all agree that the Technic aesthetic was peak. Like yes, I did like the Technic integration in G2 (I'd argue it's not as egregious as you guys say but I also get your point). But at the same time, the peak was the first 4 years of Bionicle where things were gappy messes full of abstract designs made from Technic parts.
The unfortunate thing is, I guarantee most people don't agree with that. And that's not a Lego thing or whatever, but a mass market thing. I could be wrong, but I always felt like people dislike abstract designs that are left to some imagination. Hence why the Rahi didn't last, or why earlier Technic subthemes are seen as red-headed stepchildren to the theme as a whole. Now I'd say those people are dead fucking wrong, but unfortunately we're in the minority.
Maybe one day we'll get someone who's batshit crazy like us and wants some creativity in designs once again.
>>

>But "this" literally isn't Bionicle. It's a fucking lego set
Boo fucking hoo. Lego is never going to bring Bionicle back as it was in G1 with a mountain of specialized parts, or Technix heavy builds. At best we'd see the Mixel joints or those prebent Ninjago mech limbs used for a modernized reboot integrating System, and that's being generous in the hypothetical that they even would bring it back outside of select collector directed one-offs. It would literally never return aside from that venue. Even if they sold a million of that Ideas set it wouldn't ruin a potential Technic line, because there is no potential Technic line. Sour fucking grapes, all around. The set looks fine.
>but muh syyyysteem not real bonkllllees

Like, either we get nothing, or we get occasional System sets. They will never produce what you want, and you know it, so bitching about a potential System set leading to more System sets is asinine. >>
I liked G2. It was nice to see Bionicle back again after 5 long years. There were some things about it that were undeniably worse than G1 sets, but also other things that were just as good or better. The Uniters in particular have their faults, but I like the more Technic-heavy leaning they had compared to the Masters. The more Bionicle-specific armor pieces were cool too. It just isn't Bionicle without a bunch of useless-looking pistons. It's sad that it got shitcanned before they were able to go even further with it.

My opinion is the only correct one.

I wouldn't call them a downgrade, there were some elements that were undoubtedly worse, but I'd say on the whole there was more of an effort to divorce it from the more generic Hero Factory CCBS style. Well anons, I'm in a really good mood. I snagged a fully boxed Bionicle Master Builder Set. Pic related. Been hunting a fully boxed copy for a decent price for awhile, so I'm happy my search is finally over. Going to build that kangaroo rahi first when this comes in the mail.

The Kaukau was pretty solid in spite of not looking like its prior iterations, though. Probably cuz it was more of a movie Kaukau Nuva instead, and the actual physical Cowcow Nuva looked ass.

>red Slizer jumpsuit halves
>proper dark gray Mata foot
I forget sometimes that this set actually has some really good rare recolours.
>>
>>10753585
Yeah, those red Slizer parts will be amazing for my MOC builds.

Hey buddy, I think you've got the wrong door, the Lego bricks club's two blocks down

> A roborider made with slizer, bionicle and a little bit of modern system

I kneel

>didn't want to make the Kaukau in a solid color
Sounds plausible
>the transparent plastic was too expensive
Isn't this just a myth?

It also has a knights kingdom sword, although the blue version is from exo force. Here's an aquanaut slizer. The swords fit into that pre-bionicle and mata aesthetic pretty well.

I finally realized that I don't actually even need G3. I kept thinking about what I would want it to be (and always cycling back to being 100% sure that Lego would never ever do anything that would satisfy the adult me, and it would just be more kiddyfied ninjago shit like G2 if not even worse with some type of system constraction bullshit). I just went insane and started browsing other actually adult oriented robot/mech toys and spent 250e with the snap of my fingers. I have no clue why did it take so long for me to realize that it's an option
>>
>>10756279
I just like following Lego for any new Constraction-analogous parts, along with any themes that strike my interest. I've otherwise been doing similar and branching into model kits. Bought a variety of them a few months ago that I'm sitting on, but I love having this mix of buildable robot hobbies.

Another combiner model finished! I really love the Bohrok-Kal Kaita. The punching arms combo really well with the lunging head.

Cool.

Moo?

Dang, fast board today eh?

We're at bump limit buddy
>>10756639
Never built the Kal combiners, they always looked goofier than the original Bohrok combiners. I do like the top-heaviness of this one though.

Oh yeah, I guess I'll post my stuff next thread.
>>

I obviously have no care for a G3 because Lego will NEVER bring back Bionicle, they may one day release something with Bionicle branding, but it wont build like bionicle, it wont have bionicle-like story and characters, it wont have any sort of MNOG equivalent, it just wouldn't actually be Bionicle, and so I have no reason to care about it. Learned this the hard way after buying a bunch of G2 crap and then realizing I had no actual reason to like any of it, and only bought it because of branding.
>>
>>10755213
I love seeing multiple themes combined like this Since slizer legs can fit on a clip you can even have the guy haning onto him.
>>
>>10752090
I put together a gigantic autistic spreadsheet of every combiner/alt model alongside the individual sets that comprise it. Some day I'll complete it.

Unironically I would really like to get my hands on Mata Nui from the latter years, I skipped out on everything after the Mahri and I kind of regret it.

That, and maybe a Lewa to go with my Lewa Nuva.
>>

Mahri is the swansong of the series. Theyre the only half decent implementation of the inika build. Everything that came after them is utter shit, and I own almost all of the glatorian from both lines

>When Matoro finally came to a stop, he was lying at the feet of a figure in pitch-black armor. He was armed with wicked blades and a multi-shot blaster, and he regarded Matoro as if the Toa were something he had just stepped in.
>“Welcome to the Pit, runner,” the figure said. “My name is Hydraxon. You have the right to remain jailed.”
The books keep describing Hydraxon as having black armour. I wonder if that was based on some early concept sketch like Nuparu's Aqua Blaster Blade.

>“All right,” Jaller said to the others. “We don’t have time for this. Hewkii, you and I will take out the launchers, and the rest of you —”
>“I know an easier way,” Hahli cut in. “Kongu, use your power — make the air inside that bubble shove him out of it.”
>“What good will that do?” asked Kongu. “He has a personal air bubble around him, so he can breathe in the water. He’ll just swim back into the city.”
>Hahli smiled. “Oh, no, he won’t. Do it.”
>Kongu summoned his elemental control of air, creating a hurricane force wind inside the air bubble directed just at Defilak. Before the Le-Matoran could grab on to anything, he had been flung out of the protective bubble and into the ocean. Hahli shot forward and began swimming in a circle around the Matoran, faster and faster, until the force of the whirlpool had stripped his air bubble away. All Defilak had left was the air in his lungs, and even that would not last long in the vacuum Hahli was creating.
>Then the world abruptly stopped spinning. A strong arm grabbed him and hurled him back inside the city’s protective bubble. It belonged to Hahli, who now hovered in front of the launchers as if daring the villagers to shoot. “You see? If I wanted you dead, you would be dead. I don’t. Neither do my friends. We’d like to help, if you would just stop shooting at us long enough to let us do it.”
>“Why should I faith-trust you?” said Defilak. “Nothing in the Pit can be trusted.”
>“I am not of the Pit,” said Hahli. “I am of the sea — it belongs to me, not to the Barraki or their servants. And through me, the sea belongs to you, too.”
Not really a fan of how psychopathic Hahli just turned into all of a sudden. It's like her ego went up five notches as soon as she got to the Pit

new marketing pitch: classic bionicles turned into collectibles with enhanced articulation and an old school mcfarlane-esque grimy weathered aesthetic (something in the vain of the original infected Hau mask)

I seen that trailer. Hope development of MOP is going well. I played the shit out of the legacy version. I hope they keep the Toa customization.
It's a sin to have a Lego game without it.
