Post video games you wish were Lego sets.I'd really like sets based off Capcom like Street Fighter or Mega Man.
>>10733309Simple videogame styles fit really well with Lego, like Sonic and Minecraft. Megaman would be great. I'd love to see Dragon Quest 3, Final Fantasy 9, Kingdom Hearts, and Kirby, Little Big Planet, Spyro, Banjo Kazooie, Bomberman etc
>>10733309Zelda, but on the condition that the sets have play features that at least reference puzzles and challenges present in the games. It wouldn't even have to be dungeon-specific stuff. A Lon-Lon ranch horse racing track would be a good example.
>>10733309Lego Island 1. We only ever got 3 Lego Island 1 characters but from extreme stunts. So many unique faces of all the main characters were never made. Imagine a playset of the underground racetrack with a massive skeleton, info and pirate cave
>>10733323ThisAlthough one thing I would love is a model of majoras mask>>10733325And a little pizzeria would be nice
>>10733309Castlevania. They could follow the Harry Potter blueprint and make a bunch of individual sets that link up to form a bigger castle.
>>10733309i think more valve ips could work wellhalf-life, counter strike, and team fortress 2 all have memorable areas/maps and could translate well to lego
>>10733309EDF! EDF!
>>10733309Mass Effect, Fallout, Doom, Assassin's Creed, Metal Gear, if they create a mature line.
Best Lego set for 100 dollars or less is????
>>10733410galaxy exporer icons setyou can get it in box for like 80 bucks on ebay
>>10733309FIRE EMBLEMNot even a Megaman fan and these would look good I think. Personally, I'd be alright with anything that gave us new, unique molds and colors that could maybe be used for mocs.
>>10733282They don’t have to be minifigs do they?
>>10733410Camouflaged Outpost
What were they smoking with the price?
>>10733519My guess: they were contractually obligated to make the set and knew the movie was going to be a flop so they decided to price it up in order to make as much money from the few guaranteed sales (Marvel completionists and people buying it to "own the chuds") as possible.

>>10735071peak soul, I wanted to buy some adventurers sets I missed out on as a kid but jesus fuck the prices are absurd now. Still by far my favorite theme, I at least bought all of the old figs to make some modernized interpretations of the classics but just the printed egyptian pieces are pricy now
>>10734817I bought some Galidor a few months backIt's an abomination, but it's a fun abomination. I like it
>>10735104>>10734861If there's one legacy that Galidor has, it introduced this ratchet joint system that still finds use today.
>>10735071I actually have two of these. One from christmas, one from a garage sale in the early 00s. One of my favorite sets as a kid, and the box of the Christmas one holds all my magazines and instructions from the late 90s. Sadly I never got the other baseplate sets, the Sphinx and the Orient one. Both are far beyond what i'd consider acceptable in price for a used set now.
Honestly I think Lego should do more movie type themes. One-offs. I’d die for a princess bride set. The cheap set would just be a stump and some plants and two glasses both filled with poison. The one guy would have two faces, his “INCONCEIVABLE” face and a dead face after he gets poisoned. Plus I’d love a Montoya figure and Andre the giant figure. Three musketeers (mid 2000s movie) the zeppelin would be pretty dank.

>>10735270>>people think nulego versions of 90's sets would have soulWell, yes.
>>10735299I really couldn't get into the giant castle they made, ideas blacksmith or the new spaceship. I'm probably not going to like the market either. They're just too and detailed or massive or something. It seems like the opposite of the 90's designs. But I really liked the lego movie Benny spaceship stuff and GWPs (except Majisto) but I hate buying GWPs because it feels so scummy. And the movies were forever ago.But if it was like >>10735227 and Rock Raiders to Power Miners or somethingit doesn't make me compare the new and old sets so much. Its kind of like how I feel about remakes and reboots of anything. Also my favourite space is Ice Planet 2002 and they killed transparent neon orange. Ice Planet with no neon orange would be fucked up
>>10735309k

>>10735071>mfw I got back into Lego after my dark ages in 2021This is me: >>10735110
>>10735309The giant castle is actually great and the exact kind of giant castle 90s kid me always dreamed of being able to build, so I'm quite happy with it.
>>10734216If you get rid of everything you might just go through this in a few years when you get nostalgic again. Go through your collection and pick out what you really want to keep and actually think about what you're buying next and how it will look on your shelf instead of just random shit. At least that's what I try to do. I'm at the step where you were at where I'm rebuying nostalgic minifigs on bricklink. I bought a bunch of random shit and settled on some specific things I loved the most (Exploriens, Ice Planet and Dragon Knight Wizards) and so now I'm just going to buy minifig parts and sets for those. And no more new sets

>>10733519They probably thought the movie would be a hit and all those successful woke fans would be clamoring to spend all their expendable income on this set.
>>10735517In my head this guy is 6 inches tall and behaves like a cartoonishly aggro crab warding away beach goers like they're towering invaders from EDF.
>>10735636If they were sure, they'd lower the price like they did with the Ninjago movie. I think it's the opposite.
>>10735636The opposite. Marketing knew the movie would perform poorly, so they set the MSRP to make as much back from the people that *have* to buy it. Anyone engaging in a real rational decision-making process has already skipped it as an option; price is irrelevant, there is no sale. If it was more generically desired they could behave knowing more people would occupy that pre-decision demographic where price point actually matters. tldr slop eaters eat slop, everyone else avoids, priced accordingly.

I'm building a church/temple for the Forestmen. I have three different versions of this 9 step staircase. I want opinions on what is the best. The first version here is 6 studs wide. (1/3)
>>10734591I like these, they look authentic to the time period Halo came out
>>10737107This second version has the top two steps at 6 studs wide, the next two 5 studs, the next two 4 studs and so on... (2/3)
>>10737109and this final version has three steps each of 6, 4, and 2 studs wide. (3/3)
>>10737107>>10737109>>10737110Why not have it increase by one stud each step, starting with two?
>>10737127And stop at what number of studs? I started with the decision to have the too step 6 studs wide because it matches the width of the doors. If I did your suggestion I guess it would go all the way to 9 studs wide or be 6 studs on the 6th through 9th steps.
>>10737133Go from 2 to 10, I don't feel like it needs to match the door width. Maybe push the walls and door back a few studs to have some floor space and a railing. Otherwise the second version looks best imo
>>10737109I like this one best.
How do you deal with the feeling of shame? I just build the great wave, it's the second Lego set I bought since I was kid. That other one was the lighthouse. IWhy do I feel like a man children? Why I feel dirty exposing them in my flat?
>>10737162Lego is more popular than ever with adults, retard. Just keep your flat clean and don't be a weirdo and people will think nothing of it.

Throwback to last Holidays, wondering which sets we should get this year
>>10737184If you're going to repost things from reddit, can you at least choose good posts?
>>10737109This version looks the best, adds an element of forced perspective and the "base" on the front steps looks good
>>10736062Seriously. How hard would it be to put one together? A bowler, a mustache, a nice set of clothes.
>>10737199This is nice.
>>10737072Sets like this are so charming.
>>10737162>>10737164My fucking dentist has botanical flower sets in his office.
>>10737162I have Bone Demon, Sorcerer King's skelly dragon, and a lot of different skeletons on display in my room at all times, not to mention a few gundplas and some 28mm mini squads. I had sex with 4 different women in that room in the last 2 years and none of them had anything bad to say about my little dudes (and even if they did, why would I care?). If you feel shame because you enjoy something, do something about your self-esteem. Going to the gym regularly won't hurt.

How do people differentiate between a glow in the dark piece and a normal white stud? is there a colour different or do you just turn the light off?
Just a few of the specialty pieces from the latest lot.
>>10737430The colour is a bit different.
>>10737430Glowing pieces are greenish even while illuminated. If you take a white bone and glow in the dark bone, you'll see the difference immediately.
>>10737442>>10737445I see, thanksI bought a single stud from Bricklink just out of curiosity and wondered how someone with loads of these would tell them apartLove the glow in the dark pieces though, are there any current sets which use a lot of them?
>>10737450I might be wrong, but I think a glowie ghost is the most common one that's constantly included in spooky-themed sets and polybags. The last set I remember having a lot of them was Monkie Kid Bone Demon.
>>10737454that looks rad
>>10737242Did any of them come back a second time?

this has to be one of the worst black fridays ever. no really great deals anywhere as far as I can see. The "best" deal was the police station $50 off on Amazon and I missed it while sleeping in.

Obviously fright knights shields, islanders shield (kino) and some knights kingdom.rock raiders thing, some adventurers stuff. The books are from the first wave of harry potter back in 2001. Pretty good finds. only thing i can't identify is that window piece.
>>10737585Black Friday is still a week away anon.

>>107375966095 Royal Joust. I have this set, all the gray plastic yellowed the fuck out.
>>10737601Man look at those brick baseplates, I remember when Lego was pushing those things so hard in the early 2000s, they're so ugly now. Honestly I always felt this theme was a major step down from the previous castle themes, it was that era where Lego seemed to simplify a lot of stuff and make bigger specialized pieces that didn't really fit in with the others. The color scheme looks pretty bad too.
>>10737601And the King's Castle from same year.
>>10737608It was the last castle theme that had great parts, but not so great sets.
>>10737596>>10737601Yeah it has a bunch of pieces for King Leo's Castle and Royal Joust. This is a good overview of the whole thing - $15 total. The wood tray and bucket are all specials, and there's a solid cup of figs. This was a week ago so most of it is already sorted away. I'm a moc chad so only tiny things like 7409 Secret of the Tomb are going to get resurrected. The rest will either turn into a real boy, get distributed to friends, or evaporate slowly through bricklink. >>10737608get a thick load of those FAT BRICKS top left
>>10737632Damn, amazing find for the money.
>>10737632How do y'all find shit like this? I've never had a deal approaching this good.
>>10737702Opportunism and luck. My area is historically pretty wealthy, there's a strong flea market culture, and the population has aged up significantly so there are lots of people pulling out their now-adult child's, dead husband's etc. lego bins from the attic and listing them for spitball prices. That's the luck. The opportunism is always keeping a lookout esp. irl, getting in first on listings, lowballing like a fucking savage if you smell normie blood, having 10/10 communication, and showing up on time. The biggest tip for getting things at good prices is DON'T FUCKING BUY EVERYTHING. If you want it reeeeally bad, but it's not at a cosmically low price, be an adult and restrain yourself. I offer on dozens and dozens of things every week, but I only actually buy something once every couple months. If I was compelled to buy most everything I saw, I'd be spending $100, $200 per bin, not $20.
>>10737721I live in a small country and small city so my only chance really is at online markets. Once found 35 of those old round trees and 45 of the bigger "pine" tree that Lego still makes in smaller size. Only for 10€.
>>10735788I quite like it but I'm not a trainfag. If I get this it'll be my first lego train. I don't mind too much that it's not motorized as I don't have the space for a full track layout, but it is nice that it fits on standard tracks so in the future, once fans have motorized it themselves, I do have the option to start lego trainfagging.
>recently dug this set out of a shoebox I had in storage>found that both of the little orange clips on the snowspeeder cracked into tiny pieces all inside>everything else was fineIs that normal for orange pieces?

Which do you think is more impressive and which do you like to see more? Massive MOCs that require coordinating design on a massive scale, or small, minifig scale mocs that make the most they possible in a very small and realistic scale.
>>10737143>>10737158>>10737170>>10737206Thanks for the advice and ideas. I am going to add some sort of railing so that will impact the decision also. And I might move the walla back one stud to make more room on the top of the stairs. Thanks again anons. I'll post updates as I have them.

>>10738415Yeah. I’d say so. I remember when my iPhone 7 was the hottest shit ever and now it’s a potato.
>>10737608I like the brick baseplates, along with the old 10x20 ones from the 70s. They don't look good on their own but with a few small green bricks and plates you can integrate them into a landscape for terrain that isn't flat.
Built some Islanders rocks for a change.
