I know this feel, but I’ve tried my best to get over it. My only expensive car model, my Autoart Toyota 2000gt, lost a side indicator lamp on the door. I don’t know what happened to it and I couldn’t even find the lamp once I realized it was missing. So, I cut a small piece of rubber to size and painted it silver. It looks ok from a distance. Small parts like this aren’t available, so I think it’s the best that I can do unless anyone has any better ideas. I still love the model, though.

There are no other models of this particular 200gt, it's a race car and the lamp is only on those. Finding pictures of it is even hard, it's only a couple of promotional shots for the product itself. none of the model parts sites have the part either. I really couldn't even give a modeller something to work with. You have good ideas, though, thanks. I'll probably just leave it the way it is since it's alright.

This seems like the perfect thread for this.
I've been going through old stuff recently and unearthed a couple of old action figures (10+ years, easily.) They're wearing clothing made of some kind of pliable polymer - silicone, rubber, etc. Not sure exactly what.
It's begun to crack due to age, pic related. It's still flexible and not crumbling, but I can tell that the cracks would easily grow larger if one was not gentle with them, and will probably grow larger over time anyway.

However, I do have a tube of clear silicone bonder/adhesive that I got for repairing one of my keyboard membranes a while ago. Should I try rubbing some of that into the cracks/over the surface of the material, in an effort to seal them up, or is that likely to look like shit/not work and my best bet is to just box them up for now and handle them gently if I ever touch them again?
