Metal Build Ootori preorders close on Nov. 5th:https://p-bandai.com/us/item/N2697384001001Anyone order MB Kampfer? I'd planned to and had two hours to place my order on the last day, but got distracted by something else and forgot about it...
>>10707072I paid for mine soon as it went up in Japan, now it's sold out. Don't have the luxury of p-bandai in my country so my choices were to either import or risk the rape prices on the aftermarket.
>>10707075Ya did the right thing, heh. Looking forward to pics from you when it releases!>>10678013>>10679141Yay, glad to see you got your Dreadnought in safely and that you're enjoying it! I've picked up various non-WH40K Joytoy 1:18 scale mecha over the last months and they're quite neat for the price. The big black fellas is especially cool with a ton of diecast construction, but the black plastic parts have a sparkly finish that I'm not a huge fan of.>>10699823>>10700238HMR Scopedog and DX YF-21 looking good! Especially interested in the Scopedog as I've yet to get any Votoms representation in the collection.
>>10707075>in my countryWhat country? Usually these newer packs in the aftermarket are cheaper
Finally got around to opening up the Gerbera Tetra Custom. Very cool! My only gripe would be the cuffs around the wrists tend to get in the way when you're messing with the hands/holding weapons, but that's the design's fault. Speaking of weapons I didn't realize it came with three different beam rifles, definitely a solid spread of accessories as you also get a bag packed with effect parts.
>>10707082Kangarooland. Should have clarified I didn't buy the pack, just the Kampfer.
>>10707078I've been watching some of their mechs but they don't quite sit right with me, not to mention they are a bit pricey
>>10707072Did end up pulling the trigger on the MB Kampfer myself, making it my first MB. Thought about grabbin’ the Dynames Repair III, and kinda regret not snagging it. But Kampfer is top of my faves though, so this time I couldn’t resist. >>10707085Really happy this released. It’s a such a cool design and looks pretty good. The red plastic doesn’t look as cheap as some other RDs (lookin’ at you, Johnny Ridden’s Gelgoog). It is kind of a pain to fool around with, but I think it looks damn good.
>>10707085One of the rifles actually belongs to gp04 instead, don't know why bandai didn't include it with gp04 in the first place.
>>10707309I can highly recommend the Dynames Repair III. The amount if accessories and mounting points makes it one of the most versatile MBs.
>>10707072Can't these fucks put it in the eu pbandai shop ? What's even the point of having eu pbandai at this point, nothing has been added since it started
>>10707072Can’t make up my mind on whether or not I want to pick up the Ootori; atm I only have the Strike Noir but I plan on getting a regular Strike and rest of its core striker packs at some point in the near future. I want the Ootori but my budget this winter’s pretty tight and idk if it’s worth risking future PO’s I might want to grab over something that’s not an immediate priority.
>>10707116Oh yeah, than you definetly made a good decision if you like the design.>>10708137Im not buying anymore striker packs. Noir looks already great with his default pack.If youre getting the regular strike and all its pack than might as well get otori since you can slap aile onto it.
Finally got my hands on the premium barbatos lupus rex, I love the colors on this much more than the original release for many reasons but especially for the color gold used on the nails and v-fin it’s so much more vibrant.Had one paint mistake on the tail funnel but other than that a flawless release.
It's here!
Guess 19800 yen is just the new base price for MRD’s now. Fantastic.
>>10708744considering the prices of the last releases its no surpriseI'm jumping off this line too, this >>10708702 which is fucking fantastic btw, is probably the last MRD I get
>>10708413Where did you get it from?>>10708744Yeah I can't justify it. I have the HG and it's already a pretty good modern kit with everything you need including a stand (in fact, all the AGE kits are fantastic). Also, as much as I absolutely adore the AGE FX base design, I just don't like the bits which ruin (imo) the sexy, clean silhouette. If Build Fighters were ever to do a custom FX with more logical bit placement I'll be first in line to buy.
>>10708744pretty scared to see what they want for the Galava with this price for a normal sized suit.
>>10708744With how the Yen is in the absolute shitter now it will only get worse from here. I only preorder here and there but it surprises me how much cheaper the yen can get everytime. Now is a good time to pick up aftermarket toys instead
>>10708744It seems like most people aren't biting either. Obviously the new Freedom pre-orders closed super fast, but a lot of recent MRDs are on the aftermarket for retail or less. I saw a Tallgeese II on Ami for 5k less than what I pre-ordered it for. I'll probably pick up Heavyarms and Sandrock if we ever get them and probably just drop the line altogether, I can deal with rising prices to an extent but 20k is what I paid for MB Exia Devise not even 2 years ago
>>10708939>the new Freedom pre-orders closed super fastthey didn'tthey stayed up for like a whole week in amiami
>>10708974Wasn't there a P-Bandai one? For the new movie? I coulda sworn it sold out right away, but the Justice whatever was still up
>>10708979nop, both the new shitty MA modes freedom and justice of the movie are normal retail releases (for 18k yen each, ouch) and were up for grabs like for a whole week in all stores, so either they made a fuckton or people were not so on board with the designs, probably the latter because MRDs usually vanish the moment preorders open
>>10708979Youre probably thinking of the strike freedom one. The rising free and immortal are still in stock.
>>10708988>>10708979lmao just checked and both ARE STILL up for preorderhttps://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-160765https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-160767
>>10708413Post pics lad
>>10708988>>10708993>>10708997My memory must just be going to shit, I guess it was the Strike Freedom. Crazy that those others are still up. Not recent but I recall the Impulse MRD being in stock for ages after release as well.
>>10709013you are maybe thinking about the 20th anniversary infinite justice and strike freedom then, which are p bandai and sold out instantly
>>10708789Seller on ebay sold it to me for a great price along with stuff from NYCC.Now I will say that the brown box was already opened and the actual box had two sets of tape on one side so likely resealed even though he advertised it as new but it looks flawless other than the paint defect on the tail bit.I will get some photos when I can
>>10708885Not really much savings to be had when you factor in ever increasing shipping prices. I'm glad I got most of what I wanted even if my collection is mostly pre-ANIME.Pretty soon we'll be hitting $100 just for a standard size retail RD which is simply insane to think about.
>>10708997To be fair, it's a bit of a hard sell when the movie isn't even out yet - even if one of them is piloted by our lord and saviour Kira. There's also rumors these aren't even the final Gundam forms and there are a mid-movie upgrade(s) being kept under wraps.I ordered them. Aesthetically I like the new Freedom more than the Strike Freedom. And Athrun's new ride reminds of the Saviour which sadly might never get a proper figure/kit on account of it jobbing like a bitch in the show.
>>10709179With shipping it's all about where you shop. Someone briefly mentioned anime-export here over 2 years ago and it was the first time I heard of the store. Infinite private warehouse, some discounts for pre-ordering upfront, makes it alright. I know Hobby-Genki lets you stack forever as well, but I always feel like I get ripped off by shipping from them. I just let stuff pile up until I have around 20ish items or more, then ship. I just shipped 18 items, with some larger scales and wide RD boxes, for about 20k, came out to about 7 or 8 bucks per item. I had to move on from ami and hlj as my go-to's because the shipping just isn't worth it for 2-3 items. I just paid 7.5k for SHF Griffith and SHF Loid from Ami because those were late pre-orders that I missed on anime-export, just straight up hurt seeing what I used to pay. Buying single items at a time must be absolute hell.
>>10709019The Age FX without the funnel is pretty cool.
>>10709208Age FX without funnels is pure sex.
>>10709019Ill wait for the inevitable burst color. I want to plaster beam sabers all over FX.
>>10710224>Ill wait for the inevitable burst colorI doubt it, AGE isn't that popular. Plus they'd have to make effect parts too.We don't even have SEED Deactive phase shift recolors and those would be more feasible.

I can't wait to join the backpack club with Strike Gundam!
>new Gundam Universe figures announced>no fucks given on /rdg/lel
>>10711917We already know they suck ass why would we care
>>10711917The western target demographic for Gundam Universe probably doesn’t know what Robot Damashii is (or afford it).
>>10711917Barely any news gets discussed here at the best of times. The Banshee looks good, shame the Calibarn doesn't have the permet score detail. I'm sure that'll be some american con exclusive down the line though.
>>10711917>Gundam Universelollmao, those things are fucking trash
>>10711917I preordered the Banshee. I know the articulation kinda sucks especially being an earlier mold but the sculpt nice and he's an eye catching display piece for 20 bucks.
>>10712250Its about expectations. Robot damashii aren't that much better to be worth Bandai charging 3-4x the price. And metal builds may as well be statues.
>>10711917A nice big ZZ Gundam figure in this line would be great, there hasn't been a ZZ figure for a long time, and all it needs for accessories is a rifle, perfect for the Gundam Universe line.
>>10714624This is the worst possible silhouette ever. There's like 5 different giant robot shapes overlapping each other.I fucking see Metal Gear Rex with an Eva 01 head sticking out the side ffs
>>10714643>>10714624isn't that the beam cannon of the V2 Gundam?
>>10714624>>10714643>>10714647
>>10714624Thats gn arms type d clearly. I wonder what tupe of gimmicks itll have this time.
>>10714624>>10714672>>10714687oh yes it is that thing, if the made Exia's then this one was next
>>10712250I really liked the Gundam Universe sculpt of the RX-78-2. The articulation sucks, but the design looks great. Still ain’t MSIA, though.
>>10714672can't imagine what this ugly piece of shit will cost given the price of regular MBs now
>>10714672i cryosleep
>>10714624Too rich for my blood.I'll wait the chinese KO in a year.
CGUE
>>10715002A trailer for GN Arms Type E had a tease for Type D at the end and made it sound like it would be an option part set. Only thing that needs to be swapped are the two giant swords for the laser cannon and missile launcher. I'm gonna guess like 30k or something.
Got some stuff in! Aerial Rebuild! I only took the one pic of it. The cannon is pretty solid. I don't really like the shade of blue used, looks too bright, the color on the model kit was perfect. The swappable GUND panels are neat, but not amazing. They're clear red, blue, and solid black, so they look really awesome with light behind them, which is immediately blocked out when you put them in. There's some silver-y paint on the Aerial where they're placed, but in poor lighting the effect comes across poorly. Still, better than choosing one set of stickers, or being perma-black like base Aerial. Uses the same plastic rods and triangles for the bits as base Aerial, so still fucking annoying to deal with, which is why I'm opting for the cannon display here. Solid release overall, but probably not worth the P-Bandai price tag. I also grabbed the 15th Anniversary Aerial. Virtually identical paint colors, just a repack with extra goodies.
And the MRD Tallgeese II. It looks gorgeous but it's easily the worst of the Wing MRD bunch. The kneecaps are on balljoints so they fall off, the gun is more annoying to lineup than the original Tallgeese RD from 10 years ago, and the thrusters are loose as hell so I'll have to tighten those up. For this pose the gun is mounted purely with tension between the base and hands. Given that it's sort-of resting in the slightly too small hole for the base's sub-arm, a clear or black piece to stick in that hole and have hold the gun would have been awesome. Still looks beautiful, didn't notice any paint defects or horrid QC in that regard.
>>10715356Easily one of the best SEED designs, and better than all the Zaku knockoffs they later introduced in Destiny.
>>10715443Lol you really think Bandai are gonna pass up the chance to sell you another $800 dlc set?
>>10711917The GU line is frustrating because it's so close being a legitimate successor to RDs if only they didn't skimp on basic accessories like shields and beam rifles - which I'd be happy to pay another $5 for. The sculpts are generally good and I can live with the limited articulation for the price point.
>>10715451Thrusters are pretty solid on my copy, but the right leg’s hip extension joint is a little loose for my taste. Did have some minor paint scuffs on the thighs on my copy, first time I’ve ever had that on an MRD. By far and away my biggest issue is how much a pain it is to pull the gun and shield off the shoulders. The mounting being all plastic has me concerned for durability, after popping them once the hinge portion on both shoulders was already bending ever so slightly. Also can’t get the magazine out or the face off, but I didn’t give them all of my effort. I had a much worse experience with Epyon, multiple frozen joints and the horribly designed shield are fat bigger issues than the ones I have with Tallgeese. Feels like the Wing suits are made by a B-team, the SEED and IBO figures I have feel a cut above them.
>>10715488I’d like them to be closer to 1/144 scale. I know RD’s are non-scale, but they’re usually close to 1/144 size.
Is there a video or photo of every unique design of the RX 78-2? Not like A.N.I.M.E and HGUC #21 because both are based on the anime look, or RG and MG 2.0 that's just different scale. Like each new redesign. I suck at explaining but maybe you know what I mean
>>10715886I messed up, it's RG anf MG 3.0 that share a look
>>10715886I don't think I've ever seen one that captured every single one, since there's usually a new redesign or variant every few months Unless you mean more extreme redesigns like G40, in which case I'm sure there's probably something that compares it to the more regular designs out there
>>10715908found this one that gets pretty close
>>1071588680's used the original design, Then the MG 1.0 was default RX design for the time, after that the PG/MG 1.5 was the default. Odaida 1/1 Gunda (RG/MG 3.0) design has been the default for a while. Currently the Origin design from the anime is the current go to RX design.
>>10715488>it's so close being a legitimate successor to RDsIt was never supposed to be that.It was always designed as a product meant to fit on Western store shelves to meet the acceptable retail price point of $25 at a standard action figure height.Really don't under stand why you people can't understand that. This line was not made for us, it's for casuals and normies
>>10715488I can live with them skipping accessories; the articulation they have is fucking awful though, there's no reason to design the skirts and joints the way they do where a forward kick is impossible or a 90 degree elbow/knee bend can't be done; the same number of pieces could be done with either.
>>10715999Call me a casual normie because I'm slowly being priced out of RDs and the GU line is showing promise if only they would fix some basic things like >>10716018 described. Some parts wouldn't even take much effort to re-engineer.
>>10715494Only problem I had with Epyon was that the whip didn't really have as much motion as I would have liked, didn't have the frozen joints issue. B-Team feels at play. I don't have any SEED releases, but the Barbatos Lupus is easily the best MRD I've had so far. I do have the 00 which is probably still the worst, he had floppy hips out of the box. Altron was pretty good too I think. The double fin Nu was also really nice but the clips to hold the funnels together were a bit flimsy. I'll get the Heavyarms and Sandrock if we're lucky enough to get them, and then I'll probably be priced out of the line at 20k a release on P-bandai.
>>10716418Eh, being 7 inches is a turn off to me, and I think some suits get ruined. The Calibarn is a prime example, the GU proportions are awful. But if they had a proper amount of accessories they'd be great! It feels like an acknowledgment that RDs are getting pricier, with some fairly standard looking releases hitting 9k, but then some are just missing their rifles? Or shields? And it doesn't seem like it'll get better
>>10715494>>10716638>MRD Epyon's heat rod is a bendy wire instead of ball joints like the RD>no option for retracted modeB-team for sure

Bbts is beginning to process preorders for the Laevatein 25th anniversary MB.Which is great, I just realized past me WAS A FUCKING IDIOT WHO PREORDERED 3 XL3 BOOSTERS WHEN 1 IS PLENTY ENOUGH...but I do hope there's a surplus on those because a 2nd for standalone display still sounds cool.
>>10720150Judging by that size I don't think we're gonna see more than 2-4 Armored Core RDs. Gundam 00 will be the GN Arms Type D at least, and Witch will probably be the same several RDs we've been seeing, maybe another new one or two and some release dates. Is that IBO logo for the new gacha game's anime? Guess since it's animated we'll have to get the lead at least. I'm pretty pumped for this year's TN.
About time. Guren was a pretty solid release aside from the stand adaptor issues, very much looking forward to MB Lancelot finally getting out of prototype hell.
What's the best site to order Gunpla in Europe?

I don’t mind Gundam universe, if they made more antagonist or grunt suits I’d buy some
Metal Robot Spirits Barbatos (Form 1-4). Would have expected this to be retail but ah well.
>>10724470Any chance this will be on US P-Bandai? Where else would we go?
>>10724470Dammit, i want it but i'll probably be a pain in the ass to get.
>>10724470NOW THIS IS SOMETHING I'VE BEEN WAINTING FOR.We don't have many MRD's for the initial suits(it's really just impulse and the Hazel, technically the Mk.II as well), only the midseason upgrades.Hopefully this means we can get an MRD Exia or Strike down the line.
>>10724557>>10724561Site lists it as available through US P-bandai, so it’s not an event exclusive or anything. That 10,000 yen one-time coupon does seem to be a JP P-bandai exclusive unfortunately.
>>10720150what is that gurren lagann?
This is a nice spread of accessories, the most I've seen since the TR-1 Hazel maybe?
>>10724582I got Rex. Sadly missed out on all the other IBO ones, but I'm definitely getting this one. Or trying, at any rate.
>>10724582The 00 Raiser full-set pack is still the king of “look how much shit we can pack into a single MRD release.”
>>10724595Oh yeah, that one was really spoiling us.If you're a 00 lover probably the best deal ever. Imagine an MRD Strike or Astray like this? I'd be in heaven.
>>10724582They must be saving forms 5 and 6 for another release because I really want the t-rex mace saw
>>10720150hell yes votoms i just built pic related.
>>10724615JEEZ! wayyyy more work than gundam, going to get paint too.....custom crap i did:-shave the stops in the calves so the panels close flush-drill out the barrel tip -made lenses from leftover beam saber sprues, will glue in after paint-modified the eye cluster to keep side to side movement (normally glued in place)
>>10724608I really wonder if they're gonna do it. I have no idea what metrics Bandai uses to justify the designs they chose to develop into figures. And at this point it seems random, but the fact that the Base Barbatos is a web exclusive doesn't have me holding my breath for it.
>>10724637I would buy every single iron, blooded orphans release whether it is premium Bandai or not
>>10724895How embarrassing.
Just going to repost what I made in the Figuarts thread. So Bandai released an app called Digi-Fig. Since pretty much most if not all Tamashii reveals are done by CG, Bandai has taken those 3D Models and made an app where you can pose them around, put them in a diorama and save them and share with others. For some reason Bandai also made the app feature gacha like mechanics in regards to unlocking figures for you to pose and play around with. I don't know if it's region locked for any of you, it is for me so I had to download the xapk from https://apkpure.com/digi-fig/jp.co.bsp.digi_fig_jp/download and use XAPK installer from the google app store to get the job done. The game will give you Body-kun for free to start off with and a ticket to choose between the RX-78 Gundam or the Strike Gundam but more can be unlocked.
>>10724470The shitters at Bandai always lock Metal Robot Damashii as P-Bandai and never any other way. Metal Build, on the other hand, have retail releases.
>>10727121I knew it was mostly premium but I hadn't realized how bad it'd gotten. The Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice are the first regular retail releases since Wing Zero, which released in 2021. 2022 and 2023 releases have been exclusively premium bandai, or a store exclusive like the Lupus Rex re-release.
>>10724470Fuck off Bandai, I've not forgotten.

>>10728297>>10728334>>10728339>>10728509>>10728510>>10728513Most of bandai's figure goes to bargain bin these days, probably due to the large production scale, remember bandai is doing pretty well financially for the last few years so they are certainly not having trouble selling toys.
>>10728490It's not always guaranteed for the Titans MK II. Hell, the last Titans MK II in the regular RD line was P-Bandai.
>>10728334>>10728513Since the Ver Anime Aegis Transforms I wonder if that means they'll do the same for the Zeta?I really want to see how they would try to balance the Zeta having an anime-accurate look while being transformable.Seems almost impossible to me.I also don't see how they are gonna keep it in the ver anime price point range, because if it goes over 18000 JPY then it might as well be an MRD.
>>10728570I doubt it'll be 18k. The Aegis is close to 12k, so I think the Zeta will be around that if it goes up for PO within a year. It doesn't need many accessories, just the rifle and shield, some thrust effects. I'd like to think we won't have to wait super long into the Zeta line for the Zeta itself but we'll see.

>>10728509>>10728519I think it also depends on the character / popularity. For SEED anything with Kira is a guaranteed sell whereas everyone else usually bins.

Its the one that is meant to be closest to the Strike Gundam to the point where its capable of mounting striker packs(& stolen by the EA in Astray as a strange turn of events). The red coloring is when it is in CQC but its white normally.
>>10728934Oh my fucking God I can't believe I never knew about the fap hand Gundam.I thought American Sized Aegis was stupid, this is just scraping the bottom of Okawara's battle at this point.
>>10728874That’s what I’m doing, I don’t care that much about SEED to pay full price, so idc if it dies, and I get the SEED suits for half off. if SEED dying means Bandai will give more priority to Zeta I’m all for it.
>>10728792>For SEED anything with Kira is a guaranteed sellStrike bins just like everyone else, only SEED verA RD in Japan that have higher than MSRP aftermarket price so far is Moebius Zero, which is a Pbandai and probably not many people pre ordered
>>10728297The face is awful, what the hell happened? The general proportions are questionable as well. Something like this would've been way better.Money saved, I guess. Here's hoping they won't fuck up the rest of the line.
>>10728966The fap hand is a part of the Divine Striker made by the EA after it got stolen. It was bare bones before that. 2 pistols & sabers. Thats it. I do like the name divine testament though.
>>10729016The eyes especially look dumb.
>>10729016definitely prefer these chunkier proportions but I think the eyes/camera are the main thing they fucked up. I suspect this will wind up with the rx-78 treatment where they rerelease a second version with a corrected head much further down the line.
>>10728511Same. I’ll stick with the kits for the MkII.
>>10728934So weird to me that very soon we could be getting another Freedom, Providence, and Justice RDs for the anime line.Seems kinda redundant at this point because the regular RDs and MRDs of those designs are pretty anime-looking already.
>>10728792You could pick up the strike and the aile pack for like 4k tops, probably 3.5k on some sales. You're not wrong, Kira shit sells like hotcakes pretty much every time, even with him the Strike Freedom is significantly more popular than his other suits. >>10728874I'm not a big fan of SEED itself, I'm just a massive Gundamfag, so having the 5 main Gundams, and maybe the Freedom/Justice, is all I really want, which is pretty much guaranteed to happen. I do feel for the SEEDfags who could potentially lose out on a lot of less popular suits, but given shit like the BuCue has already happened and I think we recently saw another ZAFT ace suit? I dunno it's been 15 years since I watched the show, but the SEED line doesn't seem to be slowing down for now. With tamashii nations next week we'll probably have a good idea of how much Bandai is going to keep comitting to the SEED line. >>10729016Yeah it's not quite as on-point which is disappointing. Is that the pic the latest HG release? I was considering going with the Gunpla route for Zeta since stuff like the Baund Doc and Byarlant is going to be so much cheaper as a kit.
>>10729795>Is that the pic the latest HG release? It's a resin kit.
>>10728934Ctrl + CCtrl +V
Hey that fucking orbital sniper.
>>10729893And yes this is the type d option set so good on that retarded anon who bought 2.
>>10729893I kinda hate that it’s one big set, would have preferred to get the stratospheric rifle separately (no interest in the GN Arms). Wasn’t really gonna display Dynames with it though all that much so I guess it’s an easy skip from me.
>>10729902Im sure youll find use for the unused parts somewhere.
>>10729911Yeah, seems like they really went all in on how modular all the GN Arms stuff is. Budget’s pretty tight for the next few months so unless this thing has a good price I’ll probably skip it for the time being.
>>10728792to be quite honest with you I haven't seen retail ANIME releases go up in prices in the past few years.be it 0083 08th SEED Wtich, etc..
>>10729902You realize this doesn't include the GN Arms? >>10729924It's 24k and goes up for pre-order in a week. If you're US based, the original GN Arms sat around for months before selling out.>>10729995There was a couple year period where a lot was staying at or going above retail, I think there was some speculation that they weren't producing as many units of each figure. They've been doing some healthy re-releases of stuff like the GP02 and GM Custom that has helped a lot, but yeah more recent general releases just don't go up. I've been pre-ordering a lot less anyway, but this just pushes me to not pre-order anything unless it's a must have
>>10730070I’m aware it doesn’t come with the GN arms, it’s more that I only really care about the rifle and paying 24k yen for a bunch of extra stuff I don’t really care about or will be able to get full functionality out of just isn’t that appealing.
>>10730184Yeah after I posted I realized how I read your post wrong. Very understandable, especially when it's 24k, a price tag that would have been a whole mobile suit release even a year ago.
>>10730213I do actually think they way they’ve engineered the gun to pull double-duty as the parts for the GN Arms is pretty neat, but for a “I’d think it’d be kinda cool to get the stratospheric rifle as an option” it’s just a little more than I need and too pricy for what I’d get out of it. On the bright side, won’t have to worry about another new MB 00RC release for another 5-6 months so that gives me a little more freedom in my figure budget.
>>10724595Anywhere I can still buy this at close to retail price?
>>10728297>Zeta will milk meSo many cool Zeta suits I want...
>>10730322If you don't mind missing out on a single accessory (one of the weapons was exclusive to this set), the base 00 Raiser and the XN Raiser expansion set are both below retail separately pretty often. The other main difference is that only some decals are pre-applied, the XN Raiser set included a decal sheet for use with the 00 Raiser and itself, so it looks a lot more bare out of the box
>>10730322Like the other anon said, the original releases for all the stuff in this set are available for pretty cheap these days. By that same token, this version has a gloss dark blue finish with additional decals whereas the original has a matter finish lighter blue and only has a few decals (the full-set exclusive weapon is the Seven Sword/G rifle, IIRC). That said, the original 00 was the second ever MRD and I’ve heard that some of its joints can loosen up quite quickly compared to modern releases so if you’re concerned about that it might be worth shelling out extra for the rerelease set. I payed aftermarket for it and I don’t regret it, but that was a couple years ago and it’s probably not gonna be at the price I found it at.
>>10730070>PO open for ~2 weekslmao
>>10731352Still not paying $200 for DLC.
>>10731352Wow lmao that's surprising. They rarely have close dates right away and just two weeks? That's ridiculous

>>10732266If it doesn't include a figure it's DLC.
Why is this thread auto-saging at less than 200 posts?
>>10731352>>10731619>>10732266>>10732414What makes it worse is to get the full use out of this set you'd have to have bought the their previous DLC which is $700-800 a pop. So altogether you'll have spent $1000 (before shipping and taxes) for a bunch of accessories with no figure.
>>10732478This thread is now 2 weeks old so it's being auto-saged.
>>10729895I opened my second one now that I won't have to sell it for a full Type D release. Dynames awaits his option set. I'll have to get a better display case for them too, this shelf thing is ok for it's size, but it's a bit too cheap to be holding these expensive ass figures. >>10732893These words may sound hollow from me, but it's only 700-800 if you're buying the GN Arms now. For the GN Arms (583), Dynames (225-240, I don't remember the exchange rate), and now the Type D Set (193 before shipping), I've spent juuuust over a thousand for a bunch of accesories *with* a figure.
>>10733096So make a new one.
>>10733185This board is slow enough to keep up with an auto-saging thread.
>>10733195Who cares?
>>10733259Are you new to /toy/? If every thread started it's next one after 2 weeks or when bump limit was hit, a third of the board would just be falling generals.

Nice, Glad I waited this out and didn't grab the other VF-0 toys
THE DREAM IS NOT YET DEAD
I'm having trouble tracking down pics of the Macross stuff. I expected the DX YF-21 and HMR/DX fire valkyrie to be revealed by now
>>10734834Saw a gallery with all of them, full Sound Force team in Hi-Metal and the YF-21 DXC is due summer next year. Will grab the pics in a sec.
Metal Build Impulse
I think I just saw an MB Force impulse?
Sweet Dynames Repair from the movie.I missed out on the original MB so I might grab this one. Also looks like we're getting closer to finding out whatever the Dynames Repair II is.
>>10734816If they can make that they can make the fucking Apsaras...
MB Lancelot has this cool partially activated wing mode.I guess after the Gurren they realized how heavy the wings are. This is a neat fix. Reminds me of the Jehuty.
New MB Astray Blue based on the new mold.

God these wires look sexy.>>10734897Oh that's a REALLY nice surprise!!!
>>10734902Yeah the traffic must be insane. I thought it was just me.
>>10734878Looks like they’re still using the pseudo-c-clip for the inner set of wing effects like they did on the Guren which I’m not fan of. One of the super small nubs on the end snapped off when I detached them for the first time, still secures to the strut just fine and if anything it’s less stressful to remove, but I’m still worried about long-term durability on that piece now.
>>10734815Fuck, now I regret getting that Shin VF-0 earlier.
>>10734884So taking the retooled mold from the Astray Red Frame Dragon and bundling it with the weapons from the original Blue Frame Astray. Sigh, now I wish I did not get the original all those years ago.
MRD Z Plus recolors

>>10734904MB Lancelot is 35000 yen which is a substantial markup compared to the Guren which came out last year and was 27000 yen. Not really sure what the Lancelot is doing all that different from the Guren to make it worth 8000 yen more, Lancelot is a lot less bulky than the Guren but comes with a pair of rifles and the half-wings so theoretically this should only be marginally more expensive at best. Damn.

>>10735018
>>10734970Oh fuck, Green Frame AND the No Frame? These will be good for the numerous Striker Pack adaptors I've got ever since they've started the Alternative campaign.
>>10735037This makes the most sense but I would have preferred Sandrock or Heavyarms.
>>10735098I think I'm giving up on them at this point. No tease when Tallgeese II went up for PO or dropped, Tamashii Nations without them. Maybe we'll get more pics this weekend but I'm starting to doubt.
>>10735040this rocks.MRDs are slightly bigger than regular RDs right?
>>10735122Yeah, but it usually isn't too noticeable. Some of them are the same size I think.
>>10735122MRDs are generally the same size as figures from the same franchise line (the Code Geass MRD’s are equal in scale to the rest of that line, for instance). It’s moreso that MRD’s have more stylized proportions, usually including longer legs, so they end up looking a little bigger in comparison despite being the same scale. The only real exception I can think of are the IBO figures, but at this point that line exists almost entirely as MRD’s so it’s not really a problem.
>>10735124Earlier ones are closer to RD size but newer ones are probably 1cm bigger or so. Not a crazy difference but if you put the RD Wing Zero next to the MRD you'd notice it.
>>10734753What line is 9-ball seraph?

One thing I'm surprised about is that we didn't see an MRD Hyzenthlay II. I've been expecting that one for a while now because it seemed like they were on a roll with AoZ MRD releases. Maybe they're gonna cool it on AoZ for a while. The new MRDs are pretty pleasant surprises, it's cool to see the line be so unpredictable, makes these events more fun.>>10734847This one is a bit of a shocker.I don't think the Impulse is as popular as the strike is it? Also I don't think it's as milkable as the strike is either. It just has the 3 base packs and then the Destiny pack as far as I'm aware.I know there's some other MSV stuff, but those versions of the design would require much more than just a backpack swap.
>>10735017FUCKING FINALLY
>>10735252I'm incredibly shocked by the MB Impulse. I know they aren't exactly the same markets with the different scale, but the MRD sat in stock for months.
>>10734847I wonder if they'll make some sort of adapters or something to make the Silhouette packs compatible with Strike Gundam and vice versa. Because Metal Build really is just shooting every dart onto the board.
>>10735242I like the stylization more.

>>10734976MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE CANCEL THESE BANDAIIt's pretty obvious that these are static models so I imagine it'll be a while but I will burn down their HQ if these aren't out within 3 years.
>>10735594>DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE CANCEL THESE BANDAIDISPLAY ONLY
>>10735252>I don't think the Impulse is as popular as the strikeDisagree, if anything the Impulse is tailor made to be MORE milkable than the Strike. It's why they added the absolutely useless combination gimmick in the show - so they can sell you a partsformer piece by piece (which they absolutely will).
>>10735594>>10735600The Fire Valkyrie we're definitely getting. The paint on that also looks a lot more finished than the other two which look like very early prototypes.
Huh, the Mk-II actually looks a LOT better in these photos. I guess they just took really unflattering promo pics for some reason?I'm worried that they won't do any of the Z-MSV suits in A.N.I.M.E, since they are shitting them out rapidly in the Katoki line. Also HMR L-Gaim shockingly not fucking dead.
>>10735600The VF-19 there has been shown at other events though so they're preparing to release that. It's Macross 7's 30th anniversary next year and nobody has ever made a full Sound Force team, the VF-11MAXL has a single dogshit kit from the 90's and the VF-17T doesn't have anything.
>>10735015Im this fucking close to poing the fx goddamn.
>>10735849Same, I haven’t even seen AGE but this design and the figure execution of it is really speaking to me. Was debating between this and Barby but I might be able to squeeze in both since Bandai didn’t show off any upcoming P-Bandai releases I’d really be that interested in (MB Impulse will probably be the next retail MB, and that really only leaves the Xi Ka Sig to worry about).
>>10735849>>10735859I was thinking about grabbing it, but the lack of the Daidal Bazooka is making me think of passing on it.
>>10735861Get the series youre more familar with honestly.>>10735859Same. I just noticed the lack of the zooka and went yeah, they want us to buy the burst for that even though it states definitive ver on descriptions.
When is the other Armorer Core stuff getting announced? Is that this weekend?
>>10735900I would assume so, although my suspicion based on the SOL being the first reveal is that the AC RD line will be focused on boss and non-AC designs while the actual ACs will be through 30MM. Hope I’m wrong but my gut tells me otherwise.
>>10735958Hmm, you could be right. Do we have any idea when the 30MM might be revealed? Would that be this weekend, or does it not fall under the tamashii umbrella? Sorry if that's a dumb question.
>>1073597830MM is a model kit line so no, probably won’t be shown off. I do hope I’m wrong and we get a full-breath AC6 line in RD but I guess we won’t know for awhile. Also a possibility that we won’t see any more AC stuff at all and the SOL is all we’re getting this time round.
>>10735708I really want to believe that among other things this gives Bandai the excuse to do a DXC of the VF-11 much like Yamato did ages ago for 7/Plus with their respective variants. Look I just really like the Thunderbolt.
>>10735985Ah, alright thanks anon. Yeah, I'm hoping for more figures, just want muh Loader 4 in a $50-$90 figure. Would love a model kit too, if it were cheaper than that, but definitely prefer a more substantial figure. And of course a lot of the other ACs. Fingers crossed for both of us.
>>10735995At the very least we'll get a HMR Thunderbolt since they'll likely make that and the YF-19 after the 7 versions considering the Plus ones are more popular.
Really love the MRD Hazel. Took this photo a while back. I want to learn how to make photos that look like those old dioramas in the hobby magazines. Like Gundam Sentinel.
>>10736045Yeah but I'm invested in DXC with a light splash of Yamcadia, I really would like to see it done at the 1/60 scale again, the Yammie Thunderbolt has always struck me as a cool design sidelined by being as grunt as it could possibly get for a VF.
>>10734746It would be funny if the all mind variant is p-bandai
>>10734965I would love a MRD but it would be too expensive so im all in for this one.
>>10736049this rules, anon
>>10734884This is apparently a “Club Tamashii Exclusive” so that’s GREAT. Glad I don’t like the Astray cause I guess Bandai is so allergic to retail releases they have to make up completely new avenues for exclusives.

Wanna get this guy but apparently Future Quest is Evolution Toy so I don't wanna risk terrible QC and materials. Did anyone get the reissue from last year? Is it good? Saw some reviews from the first release of this mold and the thing jiggles around when moved and looks super flimsy.
