>>10634746This is why everyone who defends the rachets is a lunatic. Unfortunately there's no other solution for these giant figures to stand well. Should've gone with 6 inch. My DCMV figures will occasionally even topple over WITH the hockey pucks but my 6 inch figures never do without any stand, and doubly so if I put a hockey puck under them.
>>10634760nicely done
>>10634777>My DCMV figures will occasionally even topple over WITH the hockey pucksI have never personally had this issue
>>10634781I collect this line sparsely as it is and even then I have more figures that have this issue than not. My favorite part is my Keaton Batman from the same set also is like this, just not as bad as Clooney. Meanwhile, my Gold Label Keaton from the Batmobile set has his ratchets lined up just right where he can stand up without problems. It's a combination of shitty engineering and piss poor QC.
>>10634787Glad I cancelled my 6 pack after getting my gold label batmobile
I-If your ratchets don't line up, it isn't a m-mistake-- that's just Todd encouraging you to not use a power stance pose and instead try some wacky pose that has the ratchets at different angles. B-because, you know, Todd! H-h-hahaha
>>10634763>SCHWING!
>>10634746Looks like they used some other mold's ankles as a cost saving measure maybe Can't believe they made 6 complete new molds for a limited exclusive 6 pack while all the reuse they do for the wide releases now.

Finally opened Anti Monitor up. I like him. But, like all Todd figures he isn't without his issues. Does anyone else's have loose arms at the shoulder? Mine are all sorts of wobbly. Other than that he's good. Just wish he was bigger desu.
>>10634917Nio, you can literally already purchase, Batfleck, Bale, Battinson, and if you were lucky, Keaton with the Batmobile. Keaton only came out recently sure, but the other three have been out for a while and are just slight repaints.
>>10634955>>10634958These are not the same, they're very similar but the detailing is different on both sets of suits.
>>10634970Ran into the same issue with mine. Arms would not stay straight when I was inserting him. Everything else A++. His head is perfect.
>>10634752Why the fuck are the capes perforated? That shit looks horrible. I'm definitely selling my set later.
>>10634986They used Todd's unwashed basketball shorts.
Nobody "likes" ratchets, they are an (arguably necessary) evil to combat looseness. But you can get around a lot of their shortcomings by adjusting the other joints in the leg, especially the ones that do not ratchet (hip, ankle swivel, and ankle rocker). By adjusting all the joints together, rather than just the ankle, I can pretty much always get figures flat-footed and stable. Try it sometime, it works pretty well.
>>10634970>>10634977How can you guys stand the bright yellow plastic that looks like fisher price tier? I could take everything but that, even loose arms
>>10635286This is mcfarlane, hips don't really have that great a range on many figures, and the thigh swivel is usually minimal. Now if they had a thight cut, or a boot cut or a cut above the knee like the old MK figures, then we'd be talking.
>>10635310But you don't need a lot of range of movement for this, that's kind of the point. You are using the non-ratcheted joints to basically make micro-adjustments to the angle of the leg so that the foot can sit flat. This takes maybe like 5 degrees of movement from the hip or ankle, which any McFarlane should be able to do.

Of course, as with any popular comic character, other artists will later iterate on and modify the design, and colorists will run with any old shade that looks good and is at least vaguely in-line with the design. I dunno why you thought that would be a definitive argument, like YOUR cherry-picked artwork would somehow be more definitive than anyone else's.The OG design really is that bright yellow.

Now it seems they've decided on all squishy ones. But as far as long term these are not a good idea as they will tear and break down with use. A crotch piece in the vein of normal figures is better. The only downside is larger cavities at the hips, but I've been looking at the cavities of action figure hips nearly my entire life so I don't even notice it or care. But I haven't been looking at the weirdness that is some of these diapers. It's ok with a belted figure, but a figure without one just looks weird.
>>10640608I completely agree with you but if they had any plans on moving away from it we'd have seen it by now. I'm unbelievably mad Captain Adam has a diaper but I still bought him because I like the character and I am team building a DC watchmen. If any DC characters needed a diaper less body it was him.
>>10640611*Atom
>>10640598Superwoman from the Crime Syndicate but it's based on the most recent version of her. Lots of Wondy versions. Catwoman twice. Shame no Mera from Aquaman 1/2. Getting Gal's Wondy was a nice save from Shazam. Didn't they do Tornado from Black Adam? With that dried ramen hair look?
>>10640614>Getting Gal's Wondy was a nice save from Shazam.Left ankle completely fucked on mine and returned her. Couldn't even stand.
>>10640611If any look of Captain Atom ever had a belt you might be able to customize him to add a belt over the diaper top. But I haven't ever seen him with a belted look
>>10640614>Superwoman from the Crime SyndicateI'm very curious how her legs would look on titan wave raven.
>>10640616>If any look of Captain Atom ever had a beltThose were dark times
>>10640614They did Cyclone from Black Adam. Harley a few times, The Drowned, Batwoman from Batman Beyond, regular Batwoman is coming in a 3 pack which should've been a single release. Carrie Kelly Robin and a few Supergirls.
>>10640618Way too bulky, I can already imagine it having seen both figures. Raven is rather slim, CS Superwoman is an amazon
>>10640625>Batman BeyondUnmasked is a great fodder head
>>10638803>>10639446Going by the trailer, he seems more like a flashback character.
>>10640608>But as far as long term these are not a good idea as they will tear and break down with use.the neca keaton has a soft crotch piece and after almost a decade of posing mine have had zero issues. get a grip
>>10640629Indeed, I've used one for that purpose as well.
>>10640641And my gunslinger spawn's has already begun to tear with almost no posing. Don't compare two different manufacturers' implementations of the same concept; they may not be comparable.
>>10640641This is true It's not like it's ultra thin. More than likely these diapers will outlive most of us.
>>10640646>begun to tear with almost no posingUser error Mine is spread eagle on a horse and I get him down and play with him at least once a week.
>>10640654Trying to get him to kick forward is user error, eh?
>>10640646sounds like a you problem. my gunslinger and every single other mcfarlane figure i have shows zero issue. just because you broke your toy doesn't mean everyone else does.
>>10640657>i ripped my toy apart like a retarded baby and its todd's faulti knew it was you
>>10640657Idk how you ham handed him but you did. Either that or the chink that fucked that batch up was shot.
>>10640662>>10640659>Do not poze ze McFarlane statue. Do not touch ze McFarlane statue. Ze McFarlane statue can onze be plazed on ze horse once per day.>>10640663Literally barely lifted the leg up slowly. Thus a tiny tear began, so I stopped. The tear isn't visible if he is standing straight up. But he can't kick forward or it would likely tear more.
>>10640667i pose mine all the time post them in these threads on a regular basis. you just suck.
>>10640671How do you pose him if when you move his leg forward the diaper tears? By buying a good figure without a brittle diaper. Luckfags I tell ya.
>>10640671Post your gunslinger
>>10640676>Order new one from Amazon>Stress test>If good return old figure in it's place and keep new figureIf it wasn't user error this is justified
>>10640663I'm not sure how it would bend forward well without tearing the diaper from the look of McFarlane's own product pics really. Looks like they should've allowed more clearance.
>McToddler defending the shitty diapers
>>10640699>posts are actually complaining about the diapers and calling out anons ham hands
>>10640702If it were truly ham hands the tear would be much larger.
Well someone could post their gunslinger doing a high kick to prove it can be done.
>>10640703You don't understand he went full ham hands and that's all that happened
Tomorrow's reveal will either be NotDC or Steel or Batman and Robin wave. Place your bets.
>>10640752Batman and Robin wave has to be announced before October if it's going to come out in November like scheduled
>>10640756Good, another no-buy wave for me. Thanks for saving me money, Todd.
>>10640762The renders don't look too bad and the Clooney from the 6 pack looks spot on. Sorry your gay senpai.
>>10640769>don't look too bad>Clooney from the 6 pack looks spot on.>Wanting characters from the worst Batman movie ever made
>>10640781Yes I want a 7 inch scale Arnold Mr freeze. You need to chill.
>>10640781It's gonna be Poison Ivy in the good costume. Any know if the shit Bane will be a BAF?
>>10640807Freeze is the baf
>>10640807A Poison Ivy figure with a diaper is not sexy
>>10640807Actually thinking about it they could pull a fast one and do two bad waves. The ice suits and poison ivy then regular suits and an Alfred for Bane.
>>10640814They didn't do 2 waves for the DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY. They are NOT doing 2 waves for Batman and Robin.
>>10640814I legit would not mind an Alfred, especially if it came with an extra variant head or two like the old Mattel one that is hella expensive.
>>10640817Can you get enough characters for two DKR waves?
>>10640817>Forgets the jokerized wave
>>10640830Also gold labelsTodd's going to get the most out of his molds
>>10640830That just reuses tooling, not the same as 2 waves of unique Batman and Robin molds. So yeah you can have a jokerized Batman and Robin wave if you want...>>10640828Trilogy. Not Rises. Catwoman, Alfred, Ra's, an alternate Batman suit (unmasked or Sonar or all black variant), and Talia or a League of Shadows Bale costume from the training if Talia wouldn't sell enough.
>>10640844Literally just repaints and minimal retooling
>>10640848And Clooneys freeze suit is just a repaint of kilmers sonar suit
>>10640848That's actually quite significant retooling for clooney and even robin. Nevertheless it won't happen anyway.
>>10640844Oh, I thought you meant the comic.
>>10640851Still want to bang that Batgirl. Even more than 66 Batgirl
>>10640704it can't be done. the ammo belt gets in the way. you can break it if you're a ham handed retard though
>>10637976Lmao
>>10640851Because I've been trying to forget these movies existed since I was a kid I didn't really realize that Robin's outfit is actually Nightwing.
>>10641141>didn't really realize that Robin's outfit is actually NightwingThis is why I'm buying 2. One to keep stock and one to rip off the cape.
>>10640851No it isn't. The freeze and sonar suits are similar, but the details are completely different.
>>10641208No they aren't
>>10641208Correct
>>10641217The big bats on the chest aren't even the same. They're similar but not quite exactly the same. The freeze suit has a few more bits and bobs attached to it compared to the sonar suit. I was painfully autistic about this as a child, you ain't got nothin on me.
The belt is different, the abs are different, the chest bst is different, there is added armor on the arms and legs, the gauntlets ere completely different. The suits share design elements but are a far cry from being just a repaint from one another.
>>10641251post comparison then
>>10641256I just did. Eat my ass.
>>10640404you mean tim cryin naked as batman consoles him isnt faggy enough?
>check site for Friday preorders>Jokerized Joker sketch variant>sportsball>Dunc dolls>still no Steel
>>10640119Reed is a "they" now? Fucking woke Marvel...
>>10640837cry about it when he re-uses the bucky cap mold hundreds of times for a decade
>>10641394>B-B-but Hasbroooooo!!No one cares lol
>>10641401the care bears care. lmao
